I wanna share some rarepairs of mine.

One of m' absolute favorite rarepairs is Ms. Mack (The Dental Nurse) x Mrs. Luce. They're both fat lesbians in love. N Mrs. Luce is trans. I drew them when I was consistently postin fer pride back in June fer' Lesbian Day.

Another one is The First Customer x Seymour. Do y'all see th' way he looks at Seymour? He's gotta be homosexual. They've definitely thought about kissin each other. Autism x Autism.

Another one is Patrick Martin x Arthur Denton cus I hate them both. Denton fer' explainable reasons, n Patrick Martin cus he stopped Seymour from killin himself in th' Directors Cut. I also don't like Seymour. Might throw him in there t' make it a polycule. Call em' th' "Insufferable Bastard Trio"

Last one is that one guy wit th' nicely-shaped pompadour n accent durin 'Skid Row (Downtown)' who sings th' line "Where the cabs don't stop." x Audrey. I feel like he'd treat her nicely, way better than Seymour, n they could have somethin cute goin on. He's one of m' favorite background/ensemble members.

So it’s made pretty clear in the directors cut of the movie that Seymour died not too long after Audrey did as after she did die, he went outside, talked to Patrick Martin, and then immediately came back to kill Audrey II only to get eaten in the span of like 30 minutes.

But something I never even considered is if time passed in between Seymour feeding Audrey to the plant and Patrick Martin talking to Seymour in the stage version. It’s kind of implied that it had since Patrick and the girls walk into the shop like it’s open and Audrey died when the shop was already closed. So I checked the script and sure enough it states “a night has passed as lights change to morning.”

I find that super interesting as Seymour had to endure a whole night reflecting on what he did to Audrey and even Mushnik which I’m sure was torturous. And what’s even worse is if you consider We’ll Have Tomorrow as canon (which I do), Audrey didn’t have tomorrow while Seymour still did 😫

Isn’t weird how Audrey’s last name is just never mentioned in the musical? We only know it’s Fulquard because they say it in the 60’s movie and since just about everyone else’s name stayed the same transitioning to the musical (Krelboyne aside), we can assume that Audrey’s would too.

But the thing is that they go out of their way to mention the minorest characters full names like Arthur Denton, Patrick Martin, Wink Wilkinson, Skip Snip, etc.

I guess the deuteragonist’s full name was just not important enough to mention I guess 😭
