naveen has to be the chillest most nonchalant guy in all of new orleans. he’s really just down to vibe through whatever nonsense is happening around him. tiana spends the movie losing her whole entire mind over everything that’s going on (being turned into a frog, suddenly being able to talk to animals, having the urge to eat bugs, et cetera) while naveen just. Does Not Care. the only time we see him as anything other than calm, cool, and collected is when he thinks he’s about to die or when it’s something concerning tiana (trying to propose to her, seeing his doppelgänger mid wedding to lottie, trying to get himself turned human so he can get tiana her dream restaurant). he’s just immediately down for whatever else happens. what kind of life did this dude lead to where being turned into a frog by a shadowy voodoo man was just no big thing to him? tiana is straight up screaming crying and throwing up the whole time and naveen is next to her like “¯\_(ツ)_/¯ just another tuesday afternoon for me. it be like that sometimes” and continuing on his merry little way. sir you have been turned into a FROG

I got some from CVS (again). Theme is Disney Princesses. But guess what.

The thing is.

I am happy all the princesses of color are here. I'm glad they even included our Pixar gal. Merida often gets dropped despite officially being part of the set.

But if you're going to do doubles for the Jokers anyway.

Why would you not include Anna and Elsa.

YOU'RE ALREADY DOING PAIRS. WHY WOULD YOU NOT JUST MAKE THEM THE JOKERS, YOU HAD SPACE FOR THE FULL LINEUP.

I know this is an intensely First World problem but it DOES make me grumpy.

Give me my ace lesbian queen. Like, yes, that Mulan and Bell are kinda gay, but it's still not my girl.

Also it is a bit uncomfortable that like. The lineart+shading style results in a Literally White Skintone across the board. But that's a lot less funny than me flailing around being gay and petty. And I'm less qualified to talk about it.

honestly lottie and naveen would probably vibe so hard as friends once all the frog nonsense is over. you just know that man would love catching up on all the high society new orleans gossip, and lottie would love hearing him talk about all the wild things he saw other foreign dignitaries do or what other royals are really like. i could see them just yapping away anytime lottie comes to visit them.
