What do I use to draw birds?✨ I got a lot of questions about my bird drawings so I made this post. Don’t forget to save it! ✨Paper I prefer pastel paper with grain, mostly toned. I match paper color to bird color. - Daler&Rowney Murano paper is my favourite @dalerrowney1783 - @cansonpaper Canson, @fabriano1264 Fabriano and Lana are also good ✨Pastel It’s not a secret that I draw with pastel but not with sticks. I prefer pastel pencils which are perfect for small details. There is no need to have all available coolers of pastel pencils. You can easily mix two colours to get a new one (foe ex. Mix red and yellow to get orange) - @derwentartofficial Derwent Pastel pencils - @fabercastellglobal Faber-Castell Pitt pastel pencils ✨Chalk & Charcoal White and black colors in pastel are not intense enough for me/ So I use Charcoal and chalk in pencils. Sometimes I add sepia in my work. ✨Shapers To mix pastel I use 2 types of shapers: paper and silicone. Both are fine, but paper ones can be used only with one color while silicone are washable. ✨Last but not least! I really liked how this one turned out. It probably has to do with the ‘mystery’ of not seeing the fencer’s face. Often the allure of figures such as this is that they can be almost anyone…including ourselves.
