Its really crazy to me that i never see anybody talk about roy and eds dynamic in the 03 series particularly in cos, cause i feel like Roy is way more openly affectionate and parental towards Ed in that. Giving him a lot more straight forward advice with a lot of implications that its because he cares. Theres a lot less teasing due to the nature of how dark Fma 03 is too so that makes every dynamic a lot omre serious. Particularly Conqueror of Shamballa is so wild to me cause Roy leaves his posts to watch the north border right, and when Havoc and Breda visit its implied that he's waiting for Ed to come back. They say Hawkeye isn't who hes waiting for, and the MOMENT this dude comes back is right when theres signs that Edward might return from the other world. It's like?? really sweet and wild no one talks about it more. Wish people talked about Conqueror of Shamballa more in general actually the movie isnt like amazing and the WW2 stuff is kinda insane in a weird way but it's really beautifully animated and some of the ways they touch on topics is actually quite nuanced for the time period.

I’ve been going absolutely rabid over dad!Roy but I’ve noticed that all ya’ll in this glorious community have been missing out on like some god-tier fluff potential, in the form of Roy taking care of Ed’s hair. Like Ed’s been injured and is in the hospital or smth, and his hair’s all ratty. Roy gently brushing through it??? Roy braiding it?? Roy running his hands through it to make sure he got all the tangles?? Roy even carefully washing it in the sink for him?? Towling it dry?? like hello?????? Ed obviously cares about his hair a lot since he’s grown it so long and kept it that long, and just the concept of him hesitantly allowing Roy to take care of this small but important thing for him?? because no matter how they normally act, deep down Ed does really look up to Roy and wants to be able to trust him with more personal stuff like this??? and Roy being stupidly happy that Ed’s letting him do this, because the kid’s always so prickly and normally adamant that he doesn’t need help??? like I’m losing my mind over this
