Ok peeps, I was lookin for more Director footage like a rat for scraps. I found someone’s video from the 06 HW Terror Tram and was able to capture this small clip and slow it down.

While I wasn’t a fan of every choice HW made with him, putting some “in color” footage of him was definitely a nice contrast to the typical B&W we see him in.

If ANYONE can find CLEARER versions of this specific snippet of B-Roll, Please,Please,Please send it this way.

So HHN lore and characterization are a mess. However I do think he gets like this sometimes. He’s described as both confident in some descriptions and also fidgety in others. I personally think he’s both. When in his element like in the 03 interviews he’s very confident. He’s working and talking, talking about what he loves and doing it at the same time. In 06 (which is just unused footage from 03) his interview takes place in what looks like a theater. He’s fidgety and because he doesn’t want to be there. He wants to be film making, he can’t act right anywhere else. He’s so consumed by his work when he’s anywhere or doing anything else his brain can’t handle. He’s constantly think, creating, and wanting.

Also I assume OP is talking about this clip from 06

If you watch it in none GIF form it’s a much slower reaction. He’s annoyed, annoyed that they broke his train of thought. It’s also stated after this particular interview, his entire film crew went missing. Also, there’s a clip from the 03 interview where he gets fidgety and then slams his fist on the table. He doesn’t say anything or do anything after, it’s just a quick burst of emotions and then done. So pro-tip, don’t pop Paulo’s creative bubble.

Ok. Ramble done.

Another thing to point out:

Ravinski is characterized as very tense and fidgety, even going so far as to describe him as "squirming and stammering" despite being in a place that supposedly makes him comfortable.

He also says this?

I can't tell if he's getting angry at the interviewer's psychical closeness or them supposedly getting closer to a better understanding of Ravinski's motives (which I very much doubt judging by how he is later asked about Disney of all things) but it's an interesting detail to note if we go with the former.

I don't think I've ever seen him being portrayed in this sort of way in other iterations, official or fanwork? Though I'd say the Terror Tram video comes close.
