Ieri pomeriggio la RAI ha trasmesso in diretta la partita Italia-Svizzera, ottavi di finale degli Europei di calcio maschili. Prestazione decisamente mesta, in linea con le precedenti.

Vorrei qui ricordare che Il monte ingaggi della squadra si aggira attorno agli 80 milioni di euro, cui si aggiungono i premi partita, che in questo caso sono ovviamente più limitati rispetto ad altre edizioni.

Il montepremi complessivo di EURO 2024 è di 331 milioni di euro, la squadra campione potrà incassare quasi 30 milioni. Nonostante la magra performance, gli azzurri avevano fin qui incassato dalla competizione europea 12,25 milioni di euro.

Una settimana fa la RAI NON ha invece trasmesso la finale della Nations League di Volley femminile, dove la Nazionale italiana, guidata da Julio Velasco, ha svettato per la seconda volta, con prestazioni di gruppo e individuali straordinarie.

Paola Egonu è stata premiata come migliore giocatrice della Nations League 2024. Quattro azzurre sono state inserite nel Dream Team, il sestetto ideale della prestigiosa competizione internazionale itinerante: Paola Egonu come miglior opposta, Myriam Sylla come miglior schiacciatrice, Alessia Orro come miglior palleggiatrice, Sarah Fahr come miglior centrale. Ma nella programmazione della RAI non c'era stato posto per alcuna partita (10 vittorie su 12), né appunto per la finale (d'altra parte, scriveva un certo generale, i tratti di Paola Egonu non rappresentano la vera italianità e quindi perché darle spazio sul principale canale della Nazione?)

Quanto al montepremi complessivo della competizione, si parla di circa 8 milioni di Euro. Un milione è andato all'Italia, in quanto squadra vincitrice. Paola Egonu ha portato a casa un totale di circa 37.000 dollari (30.000 per MVP e 10.000 per miglior opposto); Alessia Orro, Myriam Sylla e Sarah Fahr circa 9.000 euro a testa.

Suspicion is a 1941 film directed by Alfred Hitchcock.

1938; Seductive playboy Johnnie Aysgarth meets young Lina McLaidlaw on a train in England, coning her to go out with him.

The subject is taken from the novel Before the Fact by Anthony Berkeley Cox, written and published in 1932 under the pseudonym of Francis Iles. RKO had been trying to bring the book to the screen since 1935 and Emily Williams was approached for the screenplay.

Hitchcock hired Samson Raphaelson, a successful collaborator on many of Ernst Lubitsch's film, to write the screenplay.

The part of the male protagonist was entrusted to Cary Grant, in the first of four Hitchcock films he played. The part of the female protagonist was entrusted to Joan Fontaine, in her second film with Hitchcock after Rebecca.

The film was shot entirely in the studio and cost much less than the previous two American films, Rebecca and Foreign Correspondent.

Before the Fact is the story of Lina, who grows up in the countryside in the first decades of the 20th century. Lina and Johnnie spend their honeymoon in Paris, staying in the best hotels and subsequently settle in London, in a large apartment. They leave their expensive London flat and move to Dorset, where they don't know anyone.

In 1943,a group of Italian actors were in Madrid to participate in a Spanish-Italian co-production film, among them Emilio Cigoli, Paola Barbara, Nerio Bernardi, Franco Coop, Anita Farra, Felice Romano; the events of 25 July and 8 September of the same year prevented these actors from returning to Italy.

A representative of 20th Century Fox in Madrid asked the Italian actors, while waiting to return home, to take care of the dubbing of some films of the American company, so that upon the arrival of the Americans in Italy, with the reopening of the cinema market, could be ready for theaters.

As the first week of competition in cold Santiago came to a conclusion on Friday, the United States gold rush also ended, and Brazilians punched and spiked their way to Pan American Games gold. Beach volleyball is regarded as a national sport in Brazil, where the top-ranked men's and women's teams, Andre Stein and George Souto, and Patricia Ramos and Duda Lisboa, respectively, returned home with both titles after putting on impressive performances beneath the cloud-covered Andes mountains. Brazilian boxers, led by twice-world champion and Olympic silver medallist Beatriz Ferreira, were amassing 12 medals, including four gold, on the opposite side of the capital of Chile. Prior to losing to the United States two weeks earlier, Ramos and Lisboa were world champions in 2022. They were once again victorious, defeating Melissa Humana-Paredes and Brandie Wilkerson of Canada 2-0. In women's beach volleyball, the silver was Canada's first medal at a Pan American Games. She was born in Tecate, Baja California, Mexico. She started acting in theater at the age of 12. At the age of 16, she began her full-time career as an actress and graduated from the acting school CEFAC TV Azteca. She also produces soap operas.

She remains close friends with Andrés Palacios, with whom she co-starred Amor en Custodia, a notable telenovela in both their careers. She is fond of extreme sports.

She began her career at age 12 in plays and sixteen in television. She became notable in Mexican television through the role of "Barbara Bazterrica" in the telenovela Amor en custodia. In 2007 she joined the cause of Greenpeace to raise public awareness about global warming. She has also been featured in several national magazines such as GQ in Mexico.

In July 2010 she appeared in the play Cinco mujeres usando el mismo vestido in Mexico playing Trisha.

The Mexican actress made the villain in the mini series Cien Años de Perdón, a co-production of FIC Latin America and Teleantioquia through TeleColombia same starring actors Ana Claudia Talancón and Manolo Cardona, written by Luis Langlemey (Kdabra, Cumbia Ninja). 2014, She starred in the American telenovela Reina de Corazones along with Eugenio Siller and Laura Flores as the main protagonists while Juan Soler and Catherine Siachoque act as antagonists.

Paola acted as Evelyn Marcus in the Netflix action horror series Resident Evil in 2022.
