Web Series Review: Panchayat Season 3

Synopsis: PANCHAYAT SEASON 3 is the story of the feud between a villager and an egoistic MLA. After the events of the second season, a new 'Sachiv' (Vinod Suryavanshi) arrives in Phulera. Brij Bhushan Dubey (Raghubir Yadav), the Pradhan Pati, devises a plan. He keeps the Panchayat office locked on the day of the new Sachin's joining. Brij even doesn't pick up his call and so does Vikas (Chandan Roy). The new Sachiv complains to the MLA Chandrakishore Singh (Pankaj Jha), who in turn, complains to the DM (Kusum Shastri). The DM urgently calls Manju Devi (Neena Gupta), the Pradhan, to her office. Manju and Prahlad (Faisal Malik), the Up-Pradhan, make it clear that they want Abhishek Tripathi (Jitendra Kumar) back as the Sachiv. As luck would have it, the same day, the MLA is jailed for killing a dog. The DM cancels Abhishek's transfer and asks him to join Phulera Gram Panchayat. Brij, Manju, Vikas and Prahlad are overjoyed to have Abhishek back with them. But there are certain problems in front of the village. Prahlad is depressed over the death of his son, Rahul (Shiv Swaroop) and has turned an alcoholic as well. Meanwhile, the Gram Panchayat elections are around the corner and Bhushan (Durgesh Kumar) is determined to win at any cost. As part of his strategy, he decides to send an olive branch to the MLA. Soon, this leads to utter chaos and madness in Phulera. What happens next forms the rest of the show.

Panchayat Season 3 Story Review: Chandan Kumar's story is terrific and the writer manages to neatly take the story forward. Chandan Kumar's screenplay is very effective and is peppered with lots of entertaining and dramatic moments. But the surprise this season is that the show scores big time with the emotional scenes as well. Chandan Kumar's dialogues are sharp and hilarious as required. Some dialogues are bound to become memes, just like it happened in the previous season. A few one-liners, however, do give a feeling that they were written keeping in mind that it'll become meme-worthy.

Deepak Kumar Mishra's direction is praiseworthy. Like the previous seasons, the execution is neat and uncomplicated. Often, several cult shows tend to disappoint in the subsequent seasons. But PANCHAYAT has proved to be an exception. The writer and director have taken care that nothing is added for the heck of it and at the same time, the new developments carry the essence of the show. This time, the stakes are higher and hence, even the tension levels go high in some scenes.

On the flipside, some developments are silly. For instance, the idea of the Pradhan to not pick up the call of the new Sachiv is childish. But since it leads to LOL-worthy moments, one won't mind. The same happens with the scene where a family is given a house under the PM Awas Yojana scheme though they don't qualify for it. The reason behind it is far-fetched. However, it makes for a nice watch. Secondly, the romance between Abhishek and Rinki (Sanvikaa) doesn't progress much and it's a bit of a downer.

PANCHAYAT SEASON 3 begins on a very entertaining note and the first episode sets the mood. The sequence between Prahlad and Damyanti Devi (Abha Sharma) is lovely and the most emotional sequence of the show. The real fun begins once the MLA arrives in the village for a truce meeting. The scene starts ordinarily but ends on a high and is sure to bring the house down. From here, the show is highly entertaining. This time, there's also action and the final episode is very nail-biting. The last 10 minutes give a 'Katappa ne Baahubali ko kyun maara' or 'Lonavala mein kya hua' (THE FAMILY MAN) vibe and enhance the excitement for Season 4.

Panchayat Season 3 Performances: Jitendra Kumar doesn’t have much to do initially but later on, dominates the show. He’s totally gotten into the skin of the character by now and is very impressive. Raghubir Yadav, too, puts his best foot forward. Neena Gupta is first-rate and this time, her character gets a deeper understanding of politics. This adds a lot to her role and also her performance. Chandan Roy lends able support, as always. Faisal Malik has a difficult role this time but comes out with flying colours. Sanvikaa is a fine talent and her mere presence instantly lifts the impact of a scene. Pankaj Jha is outstanding as the antagonist. The same goes for Durgesh Kumar. Sunita Rajwar (Kranti Devi; Bhushan's wife) leaves a huge mark. Ashok Pathak (Binod) this time has a longer role, considering the popularity of his memes perhaps, and does very well. Asif Khan (Ganesh) is highly entertaining while Aanchal Tiwari (Raveena) is sweet. Abha Sharma is adorable and Vishal Yadav (Jagmohan) makes his presence felt. Prateek Pachauri (Babloo) and Ebaabdullah Khan (Dabloo) are funny. The others who do well are Tript Sahu (Khushu; Vikas's wife), Bulloo Kumar (Madhav; who sides with Bhushan), Gaurav Singh (Chottan Singh; MLA's PA), Amit Kumar Maurya (Bam Bahadur), Kusum Shastri, Vinod Suryavanshi, Shrikant Verma (Parmeshwar), Vishwanath Chatterjee (Sanjay Yadav; cop) and Diwakar Dhayani (BDO). Kirandeep Kaur (Chitra; MLA's daughter) doesn’t have much to do and hopefully, will have a stronger part in Season 4. Lastly, Swananad Kirkire (MP) has a promising cameo.

Panchayat Season 3 music and other technical aspects: Anurag Saikia's music enhances the impact. As for the songs, the Manoj Tiwari track is damn good. But watch out for 'Thame Dil Ko', sung by Abhijeet Bhattacharya. Amitabha Singh's cinematography is satisfactory. The bird's eye view shots of the village, especially, are memorable. Karishma Vyas' costumes and Naveen Lohara and Sayali Naikwadi Singh's production design are straight out of life. The action is realistic. Amit Kulkarni's editing is smooth.

Panchayat Season 3 Conclusion: On the whole, PANCHAYAT SEASON 3 fulfils all the humongous expectations and rests on bravura performances, some funny and dramatic sequences, nail-biting climax and meme-worthy dialogues. This time, the show also scores on the emotional front and also boasts of action scenes. Thanks to the insane popularity and word of mouth, the third season is bound to emerge as one of the most most-watched or maybe the most most-watched show for Amazon Prime Video this year. Jitendra Kumar CLARIFIES rumors about quitting Panchayat and fallout with TVF: “There was a misunderstanding”?

Fans are loving Season 3 of Panchayat, the popular comedy series on Prime Video. The show, which stars Jitendra Kumar, Neena Gupta, and Raghubir Yadav, premiered on May 28. Before the season's release, rumors swirled that Jitendra Kumar, who plays Abhishek Tripathi (Sachiv ji), had quit the show due to a disagreement with the production house, TVF.  However, Jitendra has definitively denied these rumors.

In a recent interview with India Today, the actor explained, "There was a lot of panic, and I could see that all over social media. The last season ended on Abhishek's transfer and that also spurred the buzz further. There was a misunderstanding, and honestly, main bhi pareshan ho jata tha (I would get troubled) answering the same questions. At one point, I was like aur mat poochon, bandh karo yeh (don't ask about it, end it now)."

Jitendra also addressed the show's influence on his career, acknowledging his long association with TVF. "Given I have had a long association with TVF, people were worried about what went wrong," he said. "I understood it's their love and we just waited for the first trailer to end all speculations."

Thankfully, as Jitendra already knew the rumors were false and was actively preparing for season 3, it didn't significantly impact him. The release of the Panchayat 3 trailer effectively put the rumors to rest.

STAYING POSITIVE IN TIMES OF LOCKDOWN (SUMMER VACATION)

Disclaimer: I am not an Expert on the Subject just sharing my Experience.

Today is my 32nd day in Lockdown & out of which it has been more than 15 Days I have not put my food outside of my Main Gate. I am into Hard core sales & as a Sales Person most of the time I myself is not aware which city I am going to travel next day as it depends on work & urgencies & if I am on Leave I am on leave for only one Reason Solo Trip to some place. So Basically Travelling is my life be it for personal or professional reason & suddenly everything is on stand still.

Company where I worked they have taken proactive measures & given us work from home few days before Lockdown announced & I still used to go to Office because I myself was uncomfortable with Staying at Home but when situations started worsening I was forced to first Work from Home & than Lockdown announced so forced to stay at Home.

So when I was forced to stay at Home I have decided to take it positively. Even when I talk with anyone about this Time I call it as Summer Vacation which we all needed for long time & I refer this time as one of the Best Time of Life, even thinking to have minimum One Week in Year if possible.

So just sharing my tricks & traits of staying Positive in this Time.

One of first thing I have done is not changing my Daily Routine, No change in my Waking Time, Morning routine or Sleeping Time. So spending similar amount of Time I am spending which I used to in my daily life.

Second & most important I feel is during I have not seen News Channels from last 32 Days. No comment from my side on current News Channels. This topic I can talk about some other Day.  I only read Newspaper in morning & gets update about status of my City, State & Country.

Third one, Social Media, No I have not stopped using Social Media & in fact my usage of Social Media has increased 10 times which I earlier used to do. But what I have changed is I have un followed all my Friends who are posting Negative Posts. I am still Friends with them but in this times I don’t want to get consumed myself with Negativity so temporary I have muted their Posts. So I am seeing only regular Or Positive Posts on my Social Media Page.

I have left almost all Groups from my Whatsapp Number & trust me it has really helped me a lot & not suggesting you to left but you can mute all those Whatsapp Group which you are part of & receiving mostly Negative News or Cure for Corona or culprits who are spreading Corona from their perspective. I am sure this will definitely help because in current time our only Job is Stay in Home that’s it.

Forth One & my favourite one is FOOD. If you know me you know my unconditional Love for Food. Even if you have seen my recent Social Media posts my Good Friends are torturing me by sharing Pics of Yummy Food they are preparing but benefit of that I feel is a it became Family activity so you are spending good amount of time doing something & I am firm believer if you cook something it will taste best & whatever you make in the end it is Homemade food so I am sure it will not harm you if consumed within limits.

So have all varieties of Food from Pizzas to Pastas to Pani Puri have it whatever you feel like & completely guilt free.

Fifth One is Exercise, So hearing word Exercise people will be divided in two Parts. There are people who are using this time to be fitter & Thumbs up for those People & there are people who are Couch Potato. I only have one thing to say to them if you have been couch potato on regular days so abhi Exercise kar ke kya Ukhad loge. But if you move little bit there is definitely no harm.

Sixth One is Hobby, when someone asks us what is your Hobby? We always have lots of Hobbies to inform & we have cried many times that not getting enough time to pursuit Hobbies, So what better time than this to use it.

I am sharing case of one of my Friend, Few days back she used to crib how time will pass, I am not enjoying etc etc. suddenly one Day She found one App & installed it on her Mobile which is Perfect Piano & now frequently I receive different different melodious tunes which she plays on her App, latest one I received is “Tum hi Ho” from Ashiqui 2.

Or like I do, I have fixed One Hour from 8 pm to 9 pm where I play online Chess with my friend & spend my time.

So you can use your Mobile in productive way.

Seventh One Reading, Writing & Watching

I have used this time & finished reading 3 Books which were long pending, I am writing these Blogs are one of the parts of the same & you will read few more in future & I am being watcher & obsessed with OTT Platforms finished Tiger King & Panchayat. I have many recommendations to give based on your choices.

Eight One Helping in Chores

Well due to Lockdown your domestic Help is not coming to your Home. So there are lots of chores from Washing Clothes, Preparing Food to cleaning House there are many activities in which you can help your family member. Other benefit of doing Chores is you can burn some calories also.

So, These are the things which are helping me to stay positive in this time in fact my Productivity has been increased & I may take one Week in a year from Next Year to enjoy similar time.
