Mom was doing good today, her hands are getting more and more movement and she seems more wiling to participate in therapy and wheelchair time, but this week was vacation for many working. I don't always know what happens while I'm gone, but I know we are going in the right direction. (also! leg movement is happening!!)

Speaking of myself I have two rewards systems that help me do things I either do not like, or in which executive dysfunction says "no"

I have a litterbox punch card for one. Every ten cleanings (I clean every other day, doing it daily is a too hard and tbh not needed for my cats) I learn a ten dollar gift card to psn. (PlayStation funds)

Done this enough to earn 60 dollars so far, and learned a lot about how my brain works. Rewards help me do the shit that needs done.

The other punch card I have, is more like a gaming chart. My goal is to play games three days a week for minimum 30 minutes. I love gaming, but I'm in a bit of a slump and my depression/anxiety makes it hard to engage. So far this has been a lil struggle, but I wanna eventually make it routine as I thrive on a schedule. I earn one doordash order for every week I complete three or more days of gaming.

I also did a lot of socializing this week with two picnics. So that's good enrichment lmao but otherwise? I manage and am probably doing better than I think I am.

Thank you all for caring about me and my mom. I know I'm privileged to have a mother and father who both support and love me, and that not everyone is as lucky. I never expected though, the outpouring of love and support. It means a lot. <3

I recently finished Lies of P and it was amazing! So much love put into making this game like a FromSoft title, but also its own unique experience. If someone told me this was a genuine FromSoft title, I definitely would have believed it! The developers did such a fantastic job on everything - the art style, the music, the combat mechanics, the level design, the lore/setting, the characters...everything was stellar! The game is such a creative take on the story of Pinocchio...and the end credits teased a sequel or DLC based on the Wizard of Oz?! I'm excited! 😃

I'm only a few trophies away from getting them all on PSN. I save scummed a bit on my first playthrough to get the trophies for the "good" and "bad" endings (omg, the bad ending is so messed up...I literally wanted to cry 😭) So the only trophies I need are the ones for the "tell the truth" ending, get all the special weapons, get all the records, and get all the cryptic vessel rewards. Should be able to do that on my next playthrough in the not so far future!

Destiny 2 News

This again, because it was fun last time. A day late because I was out yesterday. So, fashion first:

Mariachi Pistolero: You know what? Could be fun. We always need more Western cowboy stuff in our space fantasy. 8/10

Crane Martial Artist: I can't think of many items that fit this theme save for the Untethered Edge set? 5/10, not something I'd personally use much outside one particular Stasis build I have, but could be interesting. At least it's different.

Atlantian Royal Guard: GIMME. I don't have any other comments. 10/10

Kami / Kodama: Again, not something I'd use, but it sounds pretty. 4/10, I'd have to see it.

Oni: Claw gauntlets, love it. Also extra fingers could be fun. 3/10, there's only one part of this that I'd use.

April Fools: Their description doesn't make too much sense to me, but if it's like the DDLC set I don't care. 1/10

Court Jester: Again, I'm kinda meh on this one, sorry. 1/10

Bardic Traveller: Oh we need instrument stuff. Been waiting on something string instrument related specifically for Strand. 7/10

Verity's Brow ornament: FINALLY!! I've been waiting on something, because that thing doesn't go with Jack shit. Now I can actually use that one DPS build in good conscience.

First off, congrats to Biggz, Mariomonkey, and luigistyle for your dungeon race win. That was a tough run, and y'all should be proud of your gold. Although the race has ended, contest mode is going to be running again this weekend to make up for the PSN crash.

The exotic mission Derealize is out, rewarding the Barrow Dyad exotic submachine gun. Keep an eye on the preview screen, I've heard there's a secret with the gun there. Absolute blast of a mission, by the way. Everyone say welcome back to the dick wall.

The updated Trials of Osiris is now in full swing, so far it is much more enjoyable and far less stressful. Still don't like PvP, but I'll go visit our favourite bird uncle for once. On the flip side, Iron Banner is coming back, although Valus Forge is back to his usual one week rotation. Go bark at him while you can.

To simplify security, Bungie is updating account unlinking. If you need to do so, highly recommend unlinking now while you can.

Holochips have also been released, giving your guardian a contrail for twelve hours. If anyone would like, I'd like to get a couple people together to teach Grasp of Avarice to test out whether or not it can help with Sherpa runs.

The Nether:

Sometimes the Tome of Want: A Primer quest does not progress after meeting Step 3 and Step 4 requirements.

The Bolt Charge boon description should say, "At maximum charge, any ability damage generates a powerful bolt of Arc lighting at the target's location."

Several lines in each language for Memory of Savathûn, Memory of Oryx, and Memory of Xivu are cut off or not played at all.

Sundered Doctrine

When damaging shrieker bosses, players receive critical damage feedback, but damage is actually regular base damage.

When tracking Ikora's Drowning Labyrinth quest, completion of certain steps may stop progress on the next steps.

Upon a player reaching the rally banner for the second boss, previous areas will become soft kill volumes, which may kill teammates who are behind.

Abilities

The On Point gilded Triumph's description strings mentions Stasis, but it should say Strand.

The Hunter Arc Aspect Ascension depletes all Super energy when used during a roaming Super.

The On the Prowl Hunter Aspect currently grants a small chunk of ability energy over the seven-second duration of each stack instead of all at once.

The Ascension Hunter Aspect drains all Super energy if used while in a roaming Super and doesn’t work with certain mods and Exotic armors.

The Storm’s Keep Titan Aspect does not synergize with Arbor Warden.

The Volatile Marksman artifact mod is restoring class ability energy too quickly.

The Ionic Sentry Arc Warlock Aspect does not synergize properly with Exotics and other parts of the Arc subclass.

Weapons

Class-specific weapons (Swords & Exotic Glaives) can be used with any class. This is not intended.

The new competitive weapon, Redrix's Estoc, can only be earned once in the first week when doing placement matches.

Crafted Vault of Glass weapons incorrectly allow Deepsight Harmonizers to be used.

The Fatebringer (Timelost) doesn't have a socket for mementos.

The Discord and Harmony perks count down before the player switches to the necessary weapon.

Armour

The Stoicism "Heart's Pledge" ornament doesn't show cloth on the feminine body type.

The Tempest Strike Hunter Aspect does not activate Nightmare Fuel Perk on Sealed Ahamkara Grasps.

Blight Ranger's Exotic perk, Voltaic Mirror, does not trigger Bolt Charge when cancelled.

Memento Shaders can be previewed on armor in the Armor Management screen. This is not intended, and Mementos aren't being considered for use on armor.

Grandmaster Triumphs reference a previous Episode.

Ammo bricks give less ammo than intended.

Played a bit more cyberpunk today before my nephew got here and then after he went up to his room

I'm starting to enjoy it a bit more now I've done a few gigs and figuring out how I want to play my character when I have the choice

Still haven't put any points into anything yet though. The 2 things I'm enjoying don't really mesh together as far as I can tell. I like to stealth around and then resort to my shotgun when things go wrong xD

At this point I think I'll end up grabbing the dlc before the end of next week or just before whenever it was the sale for it ends. I've got £20 in my psn right now from that rewards program so it'd only cost me a couple quid

I was just invading people a bunch on Elden Ring, and I never got any messages at all over PSN before tonight, but thanks to some of these invasions I got three different people sending me positive messages. Just when I started to think I was gonna have to behave like an asshole to have any fun with invasions in this game, I get rewarded for trying to be polite and fair. Feels good :)

Mare Island’s Billion-Dollar War Bond Legacy

When the United States entered World War II, a massive mobilization effort began. Military service, industrial production, and material support demanded unprecedented resources—and it was the American people who stepped up, not reluctantly, but with remarkable resolve.

Those who didn’t wear a uniform worked in defense industries like Mare Island Naval Shipyard, enduring long shifts and strict rationing of food, fuel, tires, and household goods. They also paid taxes—steep ones. Top earners faced rates up to 90%, and taxpaying households increased sixfold. Even families below the poverty line contributed. By 1945, federal tax revenues had soared to 20% of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) (up from just 7% before the war).

Despite all this, war borrowing was essential. Inflation ate away another 5% of purchasing power per year, and national debt more than doubled���climbing to 105% of GDP. So, who did the government turn to for loans? The same citizens who were already sacrificing on every front.

Using familiar tools from World War I, the government launched War Bond and Stamp Drives. Americans bought bonds for 75% of face value, redeemable after ten years. Many also filled stamp books to cash in once completed. The returns weren’t impressive—but patriotism was. Over 85 million citizens invested a collective $185.7 billion, often holding bond amounts equivalent to their annual income by war’s end.

War Bond campaigns became woven into the everyday fabric of wartime life. At Mare Island, rallies featured Hollywood stars like Bob Hope and Jack Benny, war heroes, and even captured Japanese mini-submarines to drum up support. The result? Mare Island’s workforce purchased the equivalent of $1 billion in today's value—enough to fund every submarine built there during WWII.

A Battle for Bragging Rights

In 1943, the U.S. Navy turned bond-buying into friendly fire: a spirited competition between Mare Island Naval Shipyard (Vallejo, CA) and Puget Sound Naval Shipyard (PSNS)  (Bremerton, WA). The reward? Naming rights to a new heavy cruiser.

The rules were clear—whichever yard had the highest bond participation rate and payroll deductions would win. It got heated quickly. PSNS Masters Association President H. Jainen mocked MINS’s odds in an open letter, comparing their chances to “a Jap trying to operate a fruit stand on Guadalcanal.” (That jab reflected a bitter moment in history, as Guadalcanal marked a pivotal U.S. victory.)

When the dust settled, someone had to eat crow—and that someone was Mare Island. Despite boasting higher overall participation, Puget Sound Naval Shipyard clinched the win with larger average bond contributions per worker. In 1944, the new heavy cruiser was christened USS Bremerton (CA-130) in honor of their wartime fundraising feat.

Though she missed most of WWII, Bremerton would later serve with distinction during the Korean War loading out ammunition at Mare Island's Ordnance Depot.

Vallejo’s Greatest Day

Mare Island had to wait another 22 years for recognition. In 1965, on what was called “Vallejo’s Greatest Day,” the USS Mariano G. Vallejo (SSBN 658) was launched—a nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarine constructed right at Mare Island itself.  As the Navy entered the nuclear age, Mare Island was the only west coast shipyard, public or private to build nuclear powered warships and the ballistic missile submarines were named after Eminent Americans.  General Vallejo was a highly esteemed and influential public figure who served his native California during the crucial years when it was purchased from Mexico and absorbed into the United States.

The USS Mariano G. Vallejo served with distinction throughout the Cold War, fulfilling her mission as part of America’s nuclear deterrence force during a tense global standoff with the Soviet Union. Following the Soviet Union’s collapse and the Cold War’s end—her original purpose fulfilled—she was decommissioned in 1995. Today, her sail stands proudly at Mare Island, right where she was built, a lasting symbol of Vallejo’s role in shaping history.
