i'm really glad i'm not picky about coffee like as long as it's got milk, ice and a lot of sugar in it i'm happy. people will tell me 'oh x place nearby has shitty iced coffee you should go to y place that's an extra 15 minutes away' but i go to the shitty place and the nice place and they taste the same to me. the joy of an uncultured palate when it means i can get the coffee that's 2 mins away and enjoy it

I ment when he goes to steal hair for the dolls 😭
You're right it's funnier to imagine him wearing that shitty bathrobe and slippers. Scrambling on all fours, chasing around little tumbleweeds of cropped hair while one worker is hitting him with a broom and the other is one the phone with the cops.

Chaucer's sparkling mead
Wretched. Nafty. A libation most vile.
I've had a few meads and Chaucer is by far the worst. They also sell a non-sparkling mead and a few flavored meads.
Chaucer has a peculiar nose--sort of dry and rancid, like honey but with far more petroleum. It sits in the throat and dominates the overall flavor of the beverage. The rest of it's character is grassy and sour.
I think Chaucer tried to approach mead from the beer side, whereas Honeywood or Dansk Mjod approached it from the wine side. It doesn't work.

"insects are such boring pets, they don't do anything!"
Wrong. My dubia roaches are precious, and actually quite intelligent. One of them has learned to get out of the terrarium, some how (it is always the same one, as she's the only one who has developed (flightless) wings) and has learned to crawl to the top shelf and get my attention by scuttling about on the tinfoil bases the plants up there sit in to catch water. It is around the same time several nights in a row, to tell me that the colony would like some new repashy food please. Her big bulky body makes a very distinct sound on the metal, and she's very easy to catch, often just crawling into my hand unless i scare her. She returns back to the tank as soon as I put my hand in there. And then i add more of their food mix and they ALL scurry out of hiding and go ham over food.
My pet roach is learning to Pavlov me into giving them food.
