I love spreading Madoka magica

I got a teenage boy that I’m friends with to watch madoka magica and now he’s obsessed with it and wants to see the next movie when it comes out and I think that’s funny bc I told him I would watch one of his favorite shows but it’s so boring and I feel bad because he loves madoka magica and I’m sitting here trying my hardest to watch a show that I’m sure is great but I physically can’t sit through bc of how boring I think it is

oh, right, so that’s why she was literally so distraught in ep. 12/towards the end of the 2nd movie at the realization that madoka would be a god forever, aka that she would no longer get to live, and she would be trapped in a beautiful heaven forever, forgotten and unknown by everybody while constantly having to save magical girls while preventing herself from becoming the most powerful witch ever.

that’s why homura felt so, so guilty when she realized that she was right all along, that madoka WOULD and DOES miss her family and friends, that she misses being alive, and that she isn’t as self assured or as confident as the image she puts on. she’s lonely, she’s unhappy, and more than that, she’s in pain and suffering.

and that’s why homura literally rewrote the universe (or rather, consumed everything inside of her labyrinth by expanding it everywhere) so madoka could be human again, so she could experience life again w her family and friends, w/o the burden of eternal, endless godhood.

homura literally proclaimed herself the devil, the opposite of god, taking all of that burden from madoka and putting it on HERSELF, bc she believes it’s all her fault in the first place.

…. bc she doesn’t care abt madoka’s feelings… right. 😐

Can't believe Homura actually silenced Sayaka…

In the movie concept art homura detached her bones and reattached them to her cape while sealing her mouth so she couldn’t fight back or say anything about her new world

While the new trailer changed things up so maybe she has a huge scar under her bandages that prevents her from speaking

It always gets me how in Rebellion, Homura starts getting suspicious and eventually breaks out of her conditioning because she's too happy. She's like "Wait a minute.... my friends are too happy, I'm too happy, things are just too good to be true. Something smells fishy."

Imagine breaking out of your own Witch barrier brainwashing because you know deep down you're not supposed to be that happy. Like Homura, girl.....
