Synopsis: After Nico finds out Percy is marrying annabeth he pays Percy jackson a visit with a special gift from his father...

Inspired by this post! (This is just part one! It only includes what happens in the post! Part two and maybe three will include what happens next!!!)

Nico hated the way his heart dropped at the small envelope. One piece of paper and years of ignoring and repressing his feelings were gone. Everything came back. A flood of anger and heartbreak at the 'save the date card' that was sent to all of Percy Jackson and Annabeth Chase's close friends and family.

When he had first seen the envelope he was excited. Chiron had handed it to him at breakfast that morning, when he always passed out mail to campers. His heart skipped a beat when he read the return address, it was from Percy. And then he opened it.

He read it right there, sitting next to Mr. D, without bothering to hide his smile. He couldn't hide how quickly it faded from his face. How his grip on the paper tightens. How the light inside of him dwindled and flicked out in a matter of seconds.

It was like he was fourteen again, heading into battle for the boy he loved. He brought Percy an army, he won him the war. In the end he was only disappointed. He'd lost to Annabeth. he should have expected this, of course he never had a chance with him.

With nothing else to hold onto, he sunk into the shadows.

The coldness of his father's castle welcomed him. His room in the place was large and mainly empty. The softness of the bed sheets engulfed him for the next few days.

He didn't leave the room, he barely ate or slept. The hole in his stomach only got bigger, the sinking of his chest only got worse. The feeling of helplessness fully immersed him, he watched almost a week go by. A week closer to the day Percy Jackson would marry someone else. I did everything for him. For so, so long.

It was also a week when he heard a knock on his door. He didn't answer. Why would he? There was another knock before the door was pushed open.

Nico barely bothered to look over the covers, the small sliver he could see of the undead servant was enough to figure it wasn't important.

"Leave." He said, his voice gravelly. He hadn't talked in a week, the only sounds he made were the weak sobs of pure despair.

"Your father required your presence." This caught Nico's attention. His dad tried, Nico knew this. Hades had been trying since Nico was fourteen, but Nico figured Hades wouldn't notice if he was in there or not.

Despite his better judgment, Nico sniffed once and pushed himself up from his bed. He nodded to the servant, who scurried off, and Nico hesitated for a moment before leaving the comfort of his room.

The winding hallways of Hades castle were confusing, but after a few years of practice he knew them as well as anything. He quickly made his way to the throne room, passing portraits and hung candles. finding his father sitting there. The chair next to him was empty, Nico thought of the summer back in the living world. Of the sun, of the beach at camp, of Percy standing there trying to get him to 'just swim, Nico. You aren't made of flour, are you?'.

Gods, why couldn't he just get over it?

"I was wanted, father?" Nico tried to make his voice sound stable, though it just barely trembled as he looked up at his father.

"I know of your pain, Nico." His father's voice had always been cold, but now just the smallest hint of pain seeped through the cracks. Nico cringed at the statement. He knew, of course he knew. A silence fell over them for a long moment before Hades spoke again, "Do you love him?" 

Nico almost took a step back, does he love percy jackson? He averted his eyes from the gaze of his father. He must. Of course he loved him, he couldn't imagine a world where he didn't. He couldn't imagine any version of himself being okay if Percy Jackson married Annabeth Chase.

The silence must've said enough.

"Son, do you want him?"

Nico felt the pit open in his stomach. He knew he did.

Slowly, painfully, he nodded. Yes. Yes he did. More than anything.

"Come here, son."

As his father told him what to do next, Nico felt a cold sense of dread. A horrible feeling, the knowledge that it was horrible to even consider it. And the worst feeling of knowing he wanted to. He wanted it more than he'd ever like to admit.

Percy was barely awake when he heard the knock on his door. He was exhausted. He'd been exhausted since he was twelve, maybe it was catching up to him

He groaned as he pushed himself up off the coach, he wasn't expecting a package. Part of him wondered if it was Annabeth, a part of him hoped it wasn't.

As much as he hated it, he had started to dread being with her. Was she great? Sure. Did he love her? He thought so. He really thought he did. Though, lately, he had started to question it.

It started small, a twinge of irritation when she'd show up announced. The way he didn't always want to kiss her. The way he felt when a pretty boy smiled at him. The guilt when his heart stuttered when he thought that pretty boy was Nico di Angelo. 

Maybe things were just getting...old. Maybe they needed something new.

Then she asked him to marry her.

He wanted to say no, he just... didn't wanna deal with her after the fact.

Percy was relieved when it wasn't Annabeth, which he hated himself for.

He hated himself more when his ears reddened when he saw Nico di Angelo holding a bottle of wine.

It's a solid five seconds of silence before Nico shoves the bottle into Percy's hands.

"Congrats." Nico tried to smile, but there was an air of anxiety surrounding him.

"..thanks." Percy took it, not bothering to read the label, "do you...wanna come in?" He stepped away from the door.

Nico didn't bother nodding, he just stepped into the apartment, letting Percy guide him to the living room. It was vaguely messy, as expected, but Nico sat on the couch. All he had to do was get Percy to drink some wine....

Nico knew it was wrong. He knew his father put something in the wine. He told Nico to not drink a drop. Of course Nico made him promise it was safe for Percy, he didn't want to hurt him. His father said of course not, a little lotus never hurt anyone.

He knew it was wrong when he showed up there, pretending to be happy for him. He knew it was wrong when he asked Percy about Annabeth. He knew it was wrong when three glasses in Percy said he was worried about marrying her.

He knew it. Nico was right, of course.

".. What do you mean you're worried about marrying her?"

"I... I don't know. We started dating at fifteen, she was my first girlfriend ever and... I don't know.. maybe l want something...well.. new."

Nico could barely hide the small smile that broke out on his face.

"That's okay...you dont have to be with her, you know?"

"But it would ruin just about everything."

"..Then ruin it."

Percy's eyes started to drift shut, only to be forced open again, a denial of the lotus petals. Percy shook this head.

He felt horrible when Percy finally spoke up.

"I don't know why I'm telling you this. I shouldn't be. You should...you should go." His head was tilted down, resting on his left hand.

Nico sighed, pursed his lips, slight tremors in his hands as he pushed himself up from the coach. Percy looked up for a moment, gods why was he so tired?

A small bubble of confusion rose in his chest as nico stood over him, but his eyes were already shut when he felt the press of Nico's lip over his.

He woke up with someone pressed into his chest, dark hair nuzzled into his neck. His vision was burry, but he could make out a unfamiliar room and the drop of wine sliding down his face. He could taste pomegranate in his mouth.

"I'm so sorry..." The small voice whispered, though Percy didn't quite understand, slipping back into a dead sleep. He was blisfully unware of Nico crying into his neck, the pomegranate wine that had slid down his throat, and the fact that he was now forever bound to the land of the dead.

Cuban Army 1st Guards Armored Division (Central Army)

Nicknamed the "Sanguily Rescue Division" - it was created in 1965 as a corps level formation of 3 armored and 2 infantry regiments and later became an armored division. Its oldest unit is the 2600th Armored Brigade - the former 26 July 1st Motorized Infantry Regiment that fought in the Bay of Pigs landing operation of 1961 - and was raised as an armored battalion equipped with Western systems in 1959. It is the armored fist of the Cuban Army today and is stationed as part of the Central Army.

IMU that brigade is restored to its original name as this division - one of a few designated Guards (Division Blindada de la Guardia) for its role in the Cuban supported operations in Africa and Grenada in the Cold War - is by now being reequipped shedding its old equipment for modern systems. For example its armored battalions are now equipped with Russian T-72s and T-62s as well as Chinese Type 15s and Iranian Tosans, as well as the Type 11 assault gun platform in two of the brigades. Infantry battalions are equipped with the BTR-70 and the Type 8 wheeled IFVs, the BMP-2 and VN11 tracked IFVs and the Type 90 APC. The 90th Mechanized Infantry operates both the BTR-70 and Tiuna in its motorized battalion. The historical companies under the depot regiment use majority of the early systems the division uses for historical and parade purposes as well as for educational tools given the division's role in Cuban military history. These include:

It also has an armored cavalry regiment organized with Venezuelan assistance, which is patterned after the armored brigades and organized similarly but with a purpose of both armored recon and offensive operations in support of armor and infantry elements. Also IMU the placement of such regiments in divisional level by the FARC is to also ensure continuity of traditions of the Cuban "caballeria Mambisa" of the War of Independence and the Spanish American War.

Brigade artillery regiments are equipped with Chinese PLL-01 towed howitzers, the Type 7 SPG and the Fajr-3 MLRS from Iran. The cavalry regiment's artillery group is a mixed of tracked and wheeled self-propelled gun systems. DIVARTY on the other hand alongside all these uses M-46 howitzers, BM-21 Grads, Fajr-5s, CJ-10 and Soumar cruise missiles in the land attack role, and Hwasongpho-11b and Zelzar-3 TBMs.

Divisional air defense is organized into the brigade level regiments armed with Strela-10s and SPAGGs of the ZSU series and the BTR-60 organized into two battalions each and the divisional air defense regiment organized into groups of towed and self-propelled guns and missile systems armed with the following:

ZU-23, PG-99 and S-60 towed air defense guns

ZSU-57-2s, PGL-12 and T-57 Duplex SPAGGS

HQ-6, Strela-10, HQ-17, S-125 Dvina, FK-3 and Bavar-373 SAMs

This division is the only one with brigade level and divisional regiments of air defense in the Cuban Army as the rest of the divisions have air defense groups of battalion size in the brigade level with more assets either in regimental or brigade level under divisional command.

Local systems like the BTR-100 and the David and the Jupiter D-30 mobile wheeled SPG, as well as the Venezuelan Tiuna, are present to give an Latin American look to the division as well as to provide a showcase of the Cuban military industry.

The reason IMU there's a political affairs unit is because of the strong Soviet influence in the Cuban Army and to ensure control by the Communist Party over the armed forces. However, it maintains a more recent creation of a chaplaincy unit to ensure religious care among the mostly Christian service personnel of the division.

The division's CIMIC battalion and SAR elements of the engineer regiment provide aid to civil autorities capability during war and peacetime calamities, joined by elements of the division's Youth Labor Army battalion placed under its combat service support regiment.

IMU this and other divisions are reinforced in wartime by elements of the Territorial Troops, the Civil Defense of Cuba and the National Reserves, which would form a 2nd infantry brigade from elements of these organizations in the division's AOR.

The episode with all the dads (Tom doesn’t count) and Rosewood’s yearly father-daughter dances that we’ll never hear about again. Are the mothers and sons glad to escape this nonsense, I wonder.

Hanna and Emily discuss Maya, while turning Hanna's bedside lamp off and on. We’re still discussing this in terms of wow is this a breakup instead of huh runaway teen, dangers abound.

Melissa is terrible in this car scene with Spencer. She confesses to sending Ali angry texts because Ali flirted with Ian (that was a 14/15 year old to your 20/21, insane to be threatened by that and not concerned) and then she goes on about how Ian totally didn’t kill Ali

Regardless of what sins Ian did or did not commit on Labor Day night, he did very much assault and try to kill Spencer in the church! No commentary about that huh Melissa. 

Should we have a running Worst Older Sibling in Rosewood award. Got to give Aria this much, she’ll never win that award. 

Ella asks Aria to keep secret her meeting with Ezria and it’s so gross. 

As a friend said, Ezria is not what Aria deserves but it is very much what Byron and Ella deserve for the way they treat Aria.

When I watched this show in high school I don’t think I cared or even noticed how often Byron and Ella are unaligned and refusing to communicate but on this rewatch I am regularly deranged by their behaviour

Ashley offers to take Hanna to the father-daughter dance, which Hanna accepts. Very cute of them, but of course this cannot happen. 

Spencer desperately does not want Melissa to be A and in return she has Melissa saying hey our dad is sketchy for sure

In my notes I’ve written “Peter sucks but Nolan North”. It’s true. I have a soft spot for Peter out of all the bad dads because he is the funnest bad dad, like how Noel Kahn is funnest bad teenage dude, but also because I’m like aw, Nathan Drake is here.

Ashley & Wilden have their secret meeting....in the middle of Main street? Morons. You live in a suburb, go meet in an empty parking lot.

Mike went to therapy and became the most well-adjusted Montgomery, at least for now. This teenage boy does not deserve his family being this silly. 

Pam is doing a charity run in Texas and I remember that, oh yeah, Pam runs. Fields are probably the most athletic of the families. I don’t think we ever hear of Veronica or Melissa playing any sports.

Wayne tried to run away in high school and I have many questions. Did he have a bad boy phase? I like that Emily only learns this when it’s relevant, unlike Hanna’s familiarity with Ashley’s teenage difficulties. 

Spencer ransacks her dad’s desk for clues, finding one before Melissa shows up. 

When Spencer storms past Melissa to leave her dad’s office, the camera moves with Melissa’s turn but also downwards to include two photographs on Peter’s desk — teenage Spencer in a field hockey uniformed, the frame saying Happy Father’s Day, and a black-and-white photo of two little girls that are clearly meant to be Spencer and Melissa. Great touch.

Wayne gets an army bonus to his charisma check when he and Emily talk to the bus station worker who simply wants to eat lunch, not answer questions. The way this guy is talking implies he hasn’t been asked about Maya before, so what the hell are Rosewood PD doing?

Emily was even truthful with the cops about what Maya’s proclaimed plans were. 

Hanna tosses her phone into the sudsy sink rather than risk Ashley handing it over to Wilden. 

Hanna commits so much wastage in this kitchen, it always makes me wince, but Ashley, my friend, you could’ve grabbed that phone out as soon as Hanna stormed off, those few seconds still leave you with a chance of the phone surviving.

Emily and Wayne meet outside the father-daughter dance, Emily in a red dress and Wayne in a dress uniform. They are very sweet here, as they usually are.

Wayne is getting deployed back to Afghanistan and I get  distracted wondering about US military deployment schedules in 2011. Okay, Wayne was last on an eight-month deployment, returning in late September 2010. We’re in March 2011 now. He’s been stateside for at most six months. 

This doesn’t appear as strange as I initially thought — in early 2011, the US is involved in both Iraq and Afghanistan. The deployment-to-dwell time ratios were not great.

...I hope Wayne Fields is doing okay with all this...unfortunately I suspect all members of the Fields family have similar coping strategies...

Hanna shows up to the dance to tell the girls Ashley is digging too much into A shit, Mona comes up with a questionable plan, and Hanna lingers after in a sea of fathers and daughters to give us another great shot. 

We have the usual themes for Byron and Aria. Byron is gross about Aria being his little girl forever, Aria is still mad at him for not endorsing her relationship with a grown man, yada yada

But IIRC he’s under the impression that Aria is dating Holden and hasn’t talked to Ezra since she got grounded, so he must be so ??? at Aria being mad at him. 

Aria lies to Ashley and I continue to be confused about the police documents Mona showed Hanna and Ashley discovered. 

In the previous episode, the show frames it as evidence Ashley slept with Wilden to get Hanna out of shoplifting charges. Here, it is a mere police report that Aria can claim she photoshopped, a very bad lie Ashley doesn’t believe for a second.

Spencer finds a folder of photos of Ali and yells at her dad once about the $15k, to which Peter finally confesses that he hired a PI to investigate Ali’s disappearance, because he was scared someone he cared about was involved. 

Spencer probes further, Peter says the someone was Melissa, given the angry texts

Oh, and Peter learned that someone (read: A) stole his gun, so the cops are here.

Melissa runs off to Philly, not before offering her condo as a refuge to Spencer. I know you’re hard up on options here Spence, but don’t take her up on that.

Ella & Ashley discuss the girls’ fear and lies, as Ella once more expounds her belief that the best thing to do is nothing.

The liars head over to Brookhaven, finding a block where every store is closed, only for Aria to put on the red coat and get mistaken for Vivian Darkbloom. I’ll have more to say on that later, but for now, have a convincing shot of Aria in that coat.

The A tag this week is A retrieving the Rosewood Observer, which declares Maya as officially Missing.

⭐️ The Eastern Command called an Artillery Unit into action, and the crews of the PHL-16 MRLS Systems deployed in the area designated by the Command, from which an attack against targets of the Taiwan puppet regime was simulated 🇹 🇼

📈 The objective of the exercise was to strengthen coordination during joint actions, improve communication during operations, and perfect accuracy in launching attacks against enemy targets 💥

It just hit me that I’m never going to have a new episode of PLL again. I’m not talking about the bs of PLL that’s been the last two years, I’m talking about when there was no pressure to really know who A is. When the girls were just living and figuring out themselves in a world of A. Growing up with characters. Living through the characters. There literally will never be another moment like this for me. I’m too old to have these connections with teens again. This. This brought tears to my eyes. I’m actually hurt right now. Spencer, Aria, Hanna, Emily, Alison, Mona, Ezra, Caleb, Toby: they’re all just names now. There’s no more first kisses or new feelings. The story is o v e r. really over. No more Tuesday nights. No more theories. No more praying for an outcome you know Marlene would never allow. This is so wild to me. I somehow feel older today. I became an adult today. Somehow my childhood ended yesterday and it just now hit me.

• On the night of September 1, 2009 (night of Ali's ”death”), Melissa enters furiously in Alison's room and screams "Where is she?" But we have not found out who she was looking for, and she never revealed it. We see that scene in # 2x21.

• In # 3x04, Melissa reveals that MonA threatened her by telling her that if she didn’t go to masquerade ball to distract Jenna with some excuses, she would tell everyone that she pretend to be pregnant, so Melissa went to the masquerade ball under blackmail. When Melissa comes to the ball, however, she comes quietly and glances at Jenna, who looks at her. Jenna was pretending to be blind at that time, but Melissa glances at her.

• In # 4x04, Melissa reveals to Spencer that she climbed to the Halloween train because Wilden threatened her, and she didn’t’ know that he wanted to hurt Spencer and Aria, and she did not agree. But, in # 4x01, Mona show up with a video of Wilden and Melissa on the train, and Wilden begs Melissa to let Aria go, as if Melissa was in charge that night.

• In # 4x01 we understand that Wilden killed Garrett as he was about to reveal to Spencer ALL of his corrupt actions. The Marion's murder to protect Charles, and the aggression against Ali to protect Charlotte, all under Jessica DiLaurentis’s money. Wilden says to Melissa "The plan has changed! Garrett is about to tell them everything! We can not let this happen!", This means that Melissa also knew ALL about Wilden, and the existence of Charles = Charlotte.

• In # 3x16 we see a flashback of the night when Ali disappeared, and Melissa coming out of DiLaurentis home (while Ian, Garrett and Jenna were looking for NAT Club videos inside the house), and she told to the phone: "I have to call 911 To have your attention?" And the 911 was also the police, who was looking for Bethany and CHARLOTTE that night because they’re both escape from Radley.

• In # 3x19 we see a flashback of the night when Ali disappeared, and we see Jason saw Melissa and a blonde girl talking in DiLaurentis’s blackyard. Jason confuse the blonde for Ali, but when she look at him, we see Charlotte. From Charlotte's # 6x10 stories, we know that she did not meet Melissa that night, and no one knew she was in Rosewood. But, when Emily in # 3x20 tells her "Jason says she saw you in is blackyard that night." she does NOT mention Melissa, and despise this, Charlotte tells she met Melissa that night, but they talked about NAT Club movies.

• Charlotte in # 3x20 reveals that the photo of her, Wilden and Alison in Cape May was taking by Melissa Hastings. This means that Melissa and Charlotte knew each other (since Charlotte had already confirmed the meeting on September 1, 2009).

• In #3x23, Wren reveals that Cece was expelled from the university because of Alison’s lies, and decided to go find Mona at Radley for help her to recover from the bullying caused by Alison. It was all a lie. However, Wren reveals that was Melissa to tell Charlotte about Mona’s check in Radley.

• In # 3x24, Charlotte plans the meeting to the Lodge of Thornhill, to see if Ali could get out of, because she suspected that she was still alive. In # 4x04, Melissa too reveals that she had the suspect that Ali was stills alive, and sent Jenna and Shana to control the situation at Thornhill When Spencer asks Melissa "Why do you think Ali can be still alive?" Melissa doesn’t say a word. Also, Melissa tell to Jenna and Shana "Those bitches will be at the lodge at 9!". This means that Melissa knew Charlotte's plan, designed with Mona.

• In # 4x01 we find that Jenna and Shana were both afraid of Melissa Hastings and because of that they decided to work for her. In # 4x09, Shana reveals that Jenna was also afraid of another person: Cece Drake.

• In # 4x24, Charlotte reveals to the police station to know who killed Bethany.Melissa however confessed that she had killed Bethany ONLY in # 5x11 when she decided to making a video confession for Spencer. Also, when Melissa buried Bethany alive, Charlotte had already been brought back to Radley by detective Wilden. Charlotte knew that Melissa had killed Bethany, probably because Melissa tell her all.

• In # 4x24, Melissa comes home, to the Hastings, saying she has just come back from London right in that moment and in the police station shew says that she’s back because Toby came to her door telling her that Spencer needed her family. In # 5x02, Toby reveals that he never found Melissa, but Wren, who revealed that Melissa had already been away for several days. Also she pretend to be back from London in # 4x24, and it was the night when Jessica DiLaurentis was killed.

• In # 5x01 we find that there was an army created to destroy Alison. We see Melissa Hastings at the meeting and seems to be in charge of this 'army' because she says: "We do not have much time."

• In # 5x08, Spencer and Emily find the Melissa’s hat for riding horse in the same horse riding where Jessica brought Bethany Young in the past. At the end of the episode, we see Charlotte break into Spencer's room, and caresses Melissa's hat.

• In # 5x10, Spencer finds out that 'A', Charlotte, had stolen the recorder where Ali told the story of his fake  kidnapping in case the police asked questions. Spencer had hidden him in a safe place in his house, who did not want to reveal evewn to the liars. But Charlotte knew the hiding place. And at that time, Melissa lived at Hastings’s house. Also, in the same episode, Charlotte calls Spencer and takes her off to listen Ali's recording of the fake kidnapping to make it known that she has stolen the recording. It was Melissa to switch ON the phone at Spencer to answer.

• In # 5x10, Spencer and Aria discover in a Hastings’backyard a  security footage where Melissa meets a man VERY much a like to Cyrus Petrillo, the fake Ali kidnapping, and tells him, "Do it, trust me, do it!" All a few nights before the Mona’s fake murder. And on that occasion, Cyrus allied with the 'A' team to wrap Ali and take her out of town so she does not have an alibi for the moment when Mona would have been "killed." And we find this in # 5x20.

• In # 5x21, Spencer arrives in London as she  has a university interview, but does not find his sister in the house, but only her roommate who tells her that she and Wren were invited in the countryside, but Melissa did not warn Spencer. Then, Spencer finds Mona's blood in a test tube, in her bag, and the university interview is ruined, and after that, she gets a message from Charlotte: "Calm down, but beware of what you do. There's still so much blood. "... Charlotte was in Rosewood, so there was someone in London to chasing e spying on  Spencer.

• After Charlotte's capture in the next five years, we see A Melissa and Hanna's flashback in London, in #6x17, and Melissa reveals to Hanna that Charlotte will reveal to Wren that she killed Bethany Young. But Melissa returned to Rosewood a few weeks BEFORE Charlotte's death, and remained in the shadows. Claeb find out that in #6x17. And don’t forget, in #7x01 , we find out that ALSO Mary Drake returned to Rosewood a few weeks BEFORE Charlotte's death, and she stills in the shadows too, like Melissa.

• In # 6x13, Melissa breaks into the Hastings’burn and whe sees Caleb in there, she stops in a blink and says, "Oh, I forgot you were here" and she goes looking for clothes and exclaims: "I thought I had more clothes here. At the end of that episode, A.D. throw away the old black 'A'’s sweatshirts and search online "NEW UNIFORMS."
