Hi everyone, your resident local dumbass is here to tell you my embarrassing story of the night! 

And it starts with the fact that I had not one, but two dates scheduled for today. 

I joined a dating app (again) and I told myself that I was going to go on ten “dates” this year, and if I truly genuinely didn’t just full out hate someone and could see maybe giving them some inkling of a shot, I would commit to three dates with them before making any decisions. 

SO. I had scheduled for coffee with one dude this afternoon,, and drinks with another this evening. First dude we barely talked at all and then this morning his age on the app changed from 28 to 23 and no thank you so I canceled. Second guy... 

Second guy I’ve been texting with like non-stop for three days. He’s funny, we like similar things, we’ve been live texting as we watch The Witcher, all seems well and good. We meet tonight for drinks at a little dive bar near both of us...

And he immediately says, “I wonder which screen the game is on. I was watching it before I left and I knew this place usually plays it, so...” 

So he picked this place so he could keep watching a football game our first time meeting. Interesting. We find seats near the screen playing the game, we get drinks and fries and sit and talk. And honestly, all things considered, good conversation except that every now and then he’d get distracted, stare at the tv and then say, “Sorry what?” 

(He also took a phone call from a friend about said game, but after a minute or so said he was with somebody and ended the call.) 

Anyway, half an hour in he went to the restroom and I tried to text my mom “he picked a sports bar so he could keep watching the game yikes” and sent it to him instead. Oops. 

We sat there for two and a half hours. He started yawning, karaoke started up, we couldn’t really have a conversation anymore... he said he was probably going to head out if that was ok, I told him it was and to text me about the show we were watching. 

I waited twenty more minutes, drove home and now we’re texting about The Witcher and I feel a little bad that I accidentally sent him that text but oh well? 

It is what it is, and who knows maybe it will give him the perspective that you don’t pick an intentional distraction the first time you’re meeting someone specifically to get to know them.

Right now? Non existent. It is nowhere to be found. You see that bitch, you tell her I'm looking for her. Reward offered.

17.   If there’s one thing you could tell your readers, what would it be?

If I could, I would tell each and every person who has hit the like button or even bothered to relbog my stuff or leave a comment that I love them. Not just playfully or whatever, but to thank them for paying attention to the stuff I write and continue to support me.

It's been hard to get anything done lately because of everything I've been dealing with, but I know you guys who HAVE stuck around are always happy when I'm able to dish stuff out and I appreciate it so very, very much.

Who told you that you shouldn’t be on tumblr or advocate for LGBT rights because you are cis and heterosexual? Being an ally is important and you don’t have to be lgbt to advocate for it or post on here lol (that’s coming from a member of the LGBT+ community)

I mean nobody outright told me that I shouldn’t be here or that I cant be an advocate just the last couple of months a lot of posts have been popping up on my dash about how cishet people cant do this or cant do that. 

example 1 a post I saw is apparently cishet people will never understand having love off their parents that is conditional and a lot of the cishet members of Tumblr where like objecting saying they had been raised that way and conditional love wasnt just exclusive to members of the lgbtq+ community(hell even I was raised like that) my dad doesn’t love me at all and my mams love was conditional on the bases that I was basically her little robot who followed all her orders and didn’t step a foot out of line hence why she now hates my guts because I got to like 17/18 and my friends made me realise she couldn’t treat me like that so I stopped letting her and now she’s not interested in any aspect of my life I even moved out at one point but ended up moving back due to finical reasons and an abusive flat mate(that’s a tale for another time)  and members of the lgbtq+ community from all over the place where like hahaha look at all the cishet people getting butt hurt over this I just scrolled past the post because I decided it wasnt worth making a comment.

yes I understand that people who are lgbtq+ probably suffered way worse with the conditional love thing then what a cishet person would but saying its only exclusive to  lgbtq+ people is just outright silly but what do I know I’m just another cishet person being butthurt

example 2 a post I saw said that being gay is basically being too broke to afford tattoos and piercings now on the outside this post doesn’t seem that bad and I kind of laughed it off and went guess I’m gay then but made this mistake of looking in the comment/relbog section of the post and it again it was just members of the lgbtq+ community laughing at cishet people who where objecting because they where broke and heavily in to body modification and just pointing out about how piercings and tats where not exclusive to just one group of people.

one post I saw even said cishet people would never realise that good omens is a love story and I’m just sat here the biggest shipper of ineffable husbands ever like what? I mean any idiot would just have to take one look at that church scene and be like yep their in love If they are only “ best friends” well I certainly don’t look at mine the way aziraphale looked at Crowley in that scene. My cishet sister who has not watched one single ep of good omens I showed her that scene and her first question for me was are they in love

now in some sense part of me can understand why members of the lgbtq+ community are doing this they are trying to get back at cishet people by treating them the exact same way we treat them years ago and some cases still today but at the same time I think that they need to realise that not all cishet people are like that and when they post stuff that singles out cishet people they probably word it as “ some cishet people” as apposed to “all cishet people” trust me this is Tumblr if we can feel called out for posts that apply to our daily lives then homophobes and transphobes and all the phobes in between will know they just got called out and they will come out of the woodworks being butthurt but that’s fine because they are the cishet people who actually deserve to be laughed at for it 

its like members of the LGBT+ community want the world to change I mean so do a lot of cishet people but I sense the LGBT+ community want it more but if they go around turning the tables and treating cishet people how we used to and In  some cases still treat them it will just be a vicious circle and the world will just end up with more of the same.

I’ve never done this before. But, I’m going to make a try at commissions.

Story: I’m on the verge of finishing university & the zero hour job I have does not cover my rent, and I’m unable to pick up more hours. I’ve been searching for a job for a while and I just can’t get one, despite having my practically expert-CV boyfriend person looking over it. So, I figured, yo. I’m going to try my hand at commissions. Now, I’m not a very artistic person, but I have done some media production (at uni), which includes digital media and stuff. I have also made icons before in the past, for my own use & put them up on tumblr & hollow art. Now?

I want to make icons for y’all. I’m not great, but here’s some examples (in a smaller size than they’d actually be). All of them are from DW b/c I have access to BBC IPlayer yo

Intentions

The goal here is to post here at least once a day, even if it’s something small. I’d ultimately like to do at least one lengthy post per week, but may start out with more to gain a little volume. We’ll see how it goes! I don’t want to bog the page down with reblogs yet, unless I see something particularly inspiring (although I’ve already accidentally relbogged a handful of things to this page when I meant to reblog them to my personal account–oh the joys of linked accounts and not knowing how to navigate!) I also thought about it today and realized that I may not always be in the right place mentally to make posts here every day, so this is the only post for today. I'm in no rush here!
