my personal headcanon is the vees were unremarkable nobodies when they were alive. i just love it as a thematic throughline for them. they love to let the public of hell speculate on them being famed and acclaimed since before death, but the the truth is they were a d-list failed influencer that got by on cheap controversey and scamming, a broke junkie who burned every shaky bridge he ever had, and a worn-out broadcast production assistant with more rejected auditions and tossed out script pitches than he could count. nobody missed them when they were gone, nobody cared who they were until they were dead.

Welcome to my art/hobby/whatever blog! My name is Kelsey - aka CrownedInMarigolds - and I've been here since 2012. Yes, I am an ancient being. My favorite subjects to draw are primarily OC things, and the sandboxes I usually play in are Vampire the Masquerade/World of Darkness, but I really love just about anything. While I have things I consistently like and reblog, do not doubt that I will just randomly bring up things out of left field. This is my mish-mash cringe blog, just be warned when following me! I'd also like to shout out my beloved muse @thesixthplaneteer, my true love and baby-daddy. He's a very talented writer, and a lot of my personal work is intrinsically tied up with his. Most OCs or storylines you may see from me here involve his own OCs in some way. My OCs: Noa Vincenza Hidalgo-Giovanni - one of my main OCs. She is my Giovanni/Hecata VTM character, though I have and will continue to draw her across multiple universes, fandoms, etc! So don't be surprised if she's a vampire in one picture and a Vulcan in the next!

Khloe Osborne - my current VTM/V5 PC in my husband's chronicle, The Poisoned Peach, ATL by Night! She is a Ventrue Thinblood, in a coterie with three other Thinbloods as they try to stop the Atlanta Camarilla from enslaving the local Thinblood populace!

Parvati - another favorite character of mine. She was originally my first real Pathfinder PC that I played for a long time. I also started writing a book about her titled Crowned in Marigolds, sort of based on the Pathfinder world she had been placed in. Da da daaa, the namesake of my Tumblr! She is now my Vampire the Masquerade Ravnos Elder who is in the Ministry/Followers of Set!

Dr. Nythanel Loken PhD- "Elder Thinblood," known later in his unlife as the Thriceborn! He's the absolute favorite and Noa's best friend and for-tax-reasons husband. Cute and full of the audacity!

Ralph - Khloe's boyfriend and fellow coterie-mate, a Nosferatu Thinblood who was given the Nos Bane (arguably it's pretty light!). Former Spec-Ops, all love and all trouble. He's probably one of my most drawn boys... He and Khlo are a part of the Stakebait Coterie - which also include Christian and Kyle! The four best friends that anyone can have, all Thinbloods, all taking on ATL's Camarilla!

Harrakhty Hamdi - Leader of our main Followers of Set group. Gold and covered in artwork, he is his own walking sarcophagus.

I'm from northern Türkiye and after the dissolution of the Soviet Union, many Russian people immigrated to my city. We had this huge market where they sold stuff they brought that you couldn't find anywhere else. (The market is still there, but not many Russians anymore.) We had this vase my mom's aunt bought for my mom from that market as long as I can remember. It is a beautiful ceramic vase with blue decorations on it. My mom got rid of a lot of things but because she loved her late aunt she kept the vase.

I was this week years old when we collectively realized it wasn't a vase, but was a cremation urn when a friend who never visited our place before visited and asked "Why do you have an urn?" (Turkish people are buried, not cremated. We don't even have places for cremation.) The realization hit my mom and I in waves and we were cackling on the ground by the end of it. We both knew what a cremation urn was and saw it on movies, but she never thought this could be one and thought it was a vase and I grew up thinking it was a vase and we never made the connection.

Anyway, long story short, we have been displaying a cremation urn on our living room for the past 30+ years and until this week, not one person blinked an eye.

Information on my various Vampire the Masquerade stories/Chronicles:

The Poisoned Peach: ATL by Night - my actual VTM game I'm playing with my husband. It follows Khloe Osborne, a fresh Thinblood trying to navigate the vampire world without really knowing anything. She has a coterie and the Camarilla currently runs Atlanta, Georgia... but for how long?

Wilted Roses - The overarching full canon to the plot of our World of Darkness. This is a mixed bag of information and stories that aren't necessarily in a Chronicle but flavor the world! Nyth and Noa are probably the stars of this overall story.
