Mistakes Were Made || Bradley Bradshaw

Rooster sat at the bar, as he did for the past two weeks of his life. He had lost his best friend, his girlfriend. He sighed in defeat for the fifth time today before Phoenix groaned and spoke. “Listen man, cmon tell me what you told her. It can’t be that bad.”

He shook his head, “I can’t tell you what I told her. I was drunk, it was bad. It made her leave me man.” He bit his lip to stop him from quivering. “Shit, goddamn it I messed up my whole entire life.” He ran his hand across his face, as his eyes started to water.

“Is he still in his shit-hole era?” Hang-man asked, sipping on some beer he ordered not too long ago. “Leave him alone, you know how much he loved (y/n).” Phoenix pushed her friend back. “Then why did the two break up?” He questioned.

Rooster cussed, pushing his chair out. He didn’t want to deal with Hang-man for the fifth time today. As he angrily walked out of the bar, his eyes saw something he hated. You were out of your car, about to head inside Penny’s bar to work your night shift. Though you were stopped by a group of men, four to be exact.

There so called ‘leader’ of the gang pushed you back into your vehicle. “Hey sweet cheeks, how bout you apologize to this fine young man right here after what you did to him last night.” Rooster of course, remembered what you did to their friend last night. He had insulted you and a coworker, which lead you to ringing the bell and getting hang-man and fanboy to kick him out of the bar.

“I said apologize!” He yelled, slapping your face making you wail. Everything around Rooster froze. And his eyes were directly on the man that hit you.

He ran over, didn’t even care that it was a 4 v 1 type of shit and started bashing on the man who hit you. You heard his grunts, as he was facing other punches from everywhere.

You cry out, begging them to stop but they weren’t listening to you at all. Running up to Penny’s bar, you open the door and call for Hang-man and fanboy to help Rooster out. The two came running out, looking at the mess. Rooster had been pinned to the ground as the leader of the gang messed him up.

“Hey douche bags!” Fanboy yelled, grabbing one’s hair and started to punch him in the face. Hang-man started to pound the leader, while the other two backed up away slowly. Of course, Phoenix and Bob were already there before they got away, and held onto them.

The cops finally came before Fanboy and Hang-man stopped giving the two guys the same treatment they gave you and Rooster. “Holy fuck,” Phoenix laughed.

As soon as everything finally got to peace, the group and Penny were the only ones at the bar. Penny had told everyone to go home, and that it was closed.

You were shaking badly even though it had happened twenty minutes ago. Rooster and you were both wrapped in a blanket Penny gave you. He was caressing your back, as you stay stunned. “M so sorry my love.” He whispered.

The way how your heart ached, but the way how your heart burned from the memory of the last night you spent with him. “I really didn’t mean what I meant that night.” He whispered.

The two of you were in a corner of the bar, taking in of what had just happened. “Are you sure?” You asked him, your eyes watering once more remembering what he said.

“I’m very much sure. It was just in the heat of the moment, I never meant to say those words to you. I love you with all my heart and I know you’re the one for me, I know you’re the one I want to marry.” He whispers. Your heart melts, and you think for a moment.

“Okay.” You whisper, giving in and cuddling and into his side. He hissed a bit, and you mumble a quick sorry. “No s okay honey.” “I’m sorry you got hurt because of me.” Caressing his cheek, your eyes looked apologizing.

He sighs, “I’ll always put my life for you on the line.” Kissing his neck, you responded. “And I’ll always be grateful for it.” He got up, grabbing your hand and telling the others that the two of you will be calling it quits for the night and going home.

Phoenix smiled, seeing her best friend himself again.

The two of you drove home in comfortable silence, trying to forget what happened in the past and just wanting to stay in each other’s embrace for the night.

The cold air from the night and the bad music that was playing on the store only made Heesung feel more bored while sitting behind the counter, only companied by a couple of older man who were eating instant noodles, truly not the most pleasing night.

He leaned on the counter allowing himself to rest his upper body there and scroll trough social media, some cat videos here and there and the same guys asking him were the thrash can was before leaving seemed to be all he would have for that night but the door bell rang one more time indicating another customer had come.

“hello, welcome to seven eleven. Can I help you?” the phrase came out almost as a dialogue he had practice constantly for a play, his eyes scanning the person in front of him and recognizing the school uniform as his school’s but not their face, maybe they weren’t on the same grade.

y/n smiled softly at them “uh yeah, do you have chips right?”, their cheeks turning pink from the cold air coming from the ac above them, staring at each other for a little bit until he broke the silence “yes, in the corner over there” he pointed and y/n thanked him while getting closer to the colorful plastic bags full with delicious chips and leaving him alone again to bear the basic music playing on the radio or so he thought, his boss unexpectedly came inside the store and after a quick hello he went past him and opened the cashier machine.

“whats this?” his annoyed tone tinted by growing anger made heesung rise his view from his phone with a confused expression. “this little punk.” he raised his voice “you stole the money didn’t you?” heesung took a glance at the machine only to see it was completely empty, with the black color of its material showing. He was genuinely as surprised as his boss, his shift started only a couple of hours ago and jihoon looked as relaxed as always when he saw him, he even bought himself a drink before getting out. Or was that what he saw until he entered the back of the building to change into work clothes?

“i think there’s a misunderstanding” heesung tried to say as calm as he could to not rise the tension but his boss who faced him directly clearly didn’t believed him and the anger on his face was showing more fiercely now. It was scary, not only for the fact that the old man was probably over 6’0 feet tall but that he also seemed to be really strong, at least enough to brake his nose from a single punch. “a misunderstanding? cmon I caught you red handed!, there’s not a single dolar or penny there!” he answered with boiling annoyance building up in each word, heesung not knowing what else to say to his boss remark just mouthed an “eh-“, letting the man to keep yelling and asking him where the money had gone until he started threatening to call the cops but poor heesung had gone completely blank to say anything else on his defense. He had never stolen anything on his life and as much as he needed money for university he wouldn’t steal to get it, he work for it fair and square. That only left one person who could be the culprit, but he was too nice to throw him under the bus.

Those thoughts gathered in his mind just until he felt a grip on his arm, it was y/n who worriedly looked at him. “Sir what are you doing?” they said cutting trough all the threats and curses coming out of the old one’s mouth “you cannot accuse him of anything just like that!, did you truly saw him with the money on his hands?” Heesung was totally surprised at their bravery, y/n who was a lot smaller compared to his boss and a lot more skinny and probably weak didn’t flinch an inch while taking down all of the accusations his boss was hitting him with.

“let’s just get out of here, it’s useless” they said dragging heesung out despite still being in the middle of a fight, they walked trough the empty streets of Seoul, feeling the fresh air hitting their skin, in complete silence only stopping to take a seat in the closest park swings. He had not spoken a word since they got out of the store while y/n who was really bothered by how the man accused heesung like that, was now ranting all about how unfair it was to accuse him and make a whole scene if he had no proof of him stealing, how if they were stronger they would have made them close their mouth and more with some punching and kicking into the air as a representation of it.

“Cute” was the only thing that came to heesung’s mind, looking at the person to their right and moving back and forth softly on the swing he laughed a little gaining y/n’s giggles in return, they also knew how childish they must looked while performing a whole karate show worth of the ninja turtles appreciation to elaborate on their frustration with heesung’s boss reaction.

Just like that, the night went on with both of them talking and laughing as if they have known each other from way back, letting the cold air be the only thing that bothered them.

Happy Birthday, Baby! (Rooster x Reader)

Summary: It’s Bradley’s Birthday, and you try to make it the best one he’s ever had.

To you, birthdays have always been your favorite. Especially when it’s somebody else’s, because it’s always a nice feeling to make someone’s special day even more special. That being said, you made it your business to wake up earlier than Bradley. It was a struggle, considering that he was always up first going on his morning run. Last night, you had actually convinced him to sleep in since he’s been working so hard.

Slipping out of Bradley’s arms and out of bed was tough. He just kept groaning, only making his grip tighter. “Noooo, cmon darlin, just stay here with me.” He begged, but you wouldn’t have it. “Well, one, happy birthday baby, and two, I can’t! I have to get things ready for your surprise.” You smile, finally able to pry his strong arms off your waist. “Thank you baby, and no you don’t, just lay with me and that’ll be the best birthday present ever.” Finally giving in with his childish attitude and puppy dog eyes, you laid back down. “Oh fine! But you have 5 minutes Bradshaw, remember Mav is coming to pick you up soon so you can help him work on his plane for a little while.” This was really just a whole ploy to get him out of the house, so you can set up for the surprise party you have been planning. He finally agrees, and gets ready.

After Bradley left, you also quickly ready and made your way downstairs to set up decorations. Phoenix came by to help you set up everything; it was a difficult task to do on your own, after all. You guys did the whole 9 yards, balloons, streamers, etc…you wanted everything to be perfect! When that was done, you went to pick up Rooster’s present.

You had his father’s gold chain (which you got with help of Maverick) refurbished, and added a little pendant that has his mothers initials on it. You had also gotten him a new watch, with the date of your anniversary engraved on the bottom. Smiling to yourself, you knew he would love both of them.

When everything was done you took a step back to admire your work. Just in time, because this is when everybody started to get there, including Bob, Hangman, Fanboy, Payback, Penny, etc.Bradley and Maverick would be home soon, so now it was just a waiting game. Everyone talked and talked, until the second a car door slammed. “They’re here guys! Hide!” You Say, running to shut the lights off. With that, you open the door for your fiancé and friend. “Hi darlin” Rooster said, giving you a quick kiss on the lips. “Hi did you guys have fun?” you were so nervous, you just wanted everything to go perfect. As he continue to tell you about how he learned so many things on how to fix a plane, you two walked into the door of your shared house. The lights flicked on, and on cue, everyone jumped up.

“SURPRISE!!!”

The look on Rooster’s face was priceless. He looked so shocked, but so touched the same time. Turning to you, he smiled, knowing this is your doing. “Happy Birthday, Baby!” You say, smiling ear to ear. “You did this all..for me babe?” His voice laced with utter shock. “Of course I did honey! With a little help, but you deserve this and everything times a billion.” With that, he pulls you in for a kiss, and then goes off to say hi to all your friends and family.

Towards the end of at night when everybody started to leave, that’s when you decided to give Bradley his present.

“As if you didn’t do enough for me already darlin…there’s more?” When he opens the little box, you see his eyes start to well up with tears when he realizes what it is. “I hope I didn’t ruin it or anything, I just thought it would be the perfect way to have your parents a little closer to your heart.” Before you can say anything, he leans in and gives you one of the tightest hugs, and a kiss filled with so much love and adoration. He then opens the watch, and has almost the same reaction. “These are the best gift I’ve ever gotten baby, thank you so much. This means more than you will ever know.” This makes you smile even more. “Good! Happy Birthday my love, I hope you had the best day ever.”

“I’ve got my best girl by my side each day, that’s what makes everyday the best yet.”

ROTT Review

SPOILERS FOR THE MOVIE. You have been warned.

FYI: I just finished the movie. So my opinions may change a bit but here I am writing a full review.

Before I talk about the movie, I have to say this movie has fantastic animation. The music is as good as usual.

Ok now the story. Let’s start with the our Trollhunters.

Fair Lady Claire. My girlie Claire really brought her all into this. I’m really proud of the young woman she has grown up into. However for the sake of the plot and story they make her run out of magic juice quite a bit. But my girl is still the best and gives it her all.

Wingman Domzalski. I will be perfectly honest. Toby is kind of the annoying best friend at times and bothers me as a plus size person. (They really push the over eating thing to the point that it’s his biggest factor.) Toby is a very eager kid who is ready to get in the action. Never being negative to his friend but the best emotional support who will always be at his side. Sure Toby was used a bit as comedic relief in the movie but when push comes to shove, Toby will always be there to do the right thing.

Blinky is amazing as always. One of the best father figures out there.

Aarrrgh was there. Was great for the scenes he was in, but all together didn’t do much that altered the story.

Our Trollhunter, Jim Lake Jr. Someone I admire and basically see as my little brother/child. Kiddo really did it. I know everyone is upset that Jim’s arc was redone when we had the “Unbecoming” episode. If I could come to a peaceful middle ground, I saw we all need to blame Merlin. He really rocked Jim’s world and self worth. When the creator of the object you need to save the world with tells you “You’re not enough”, it really can be a great setback. But once we past that, Jim really pulled through. Amulet or not, he is our Trollhunter.

Mommy Dr. Lake was there. Barbara was mostly there for our emotions.

Dilf Strickler. I felt that he was changed a bit since we last saw him, but he had a new purpose. He was more cautious and happy because he had a chance at a happy life with Barbara. Which makes what happens to him more upsetting.

Nomura my sweet. This movie did not deserve you. At least she was with Draal.

And Not-Enrique (seriously why didn’t they ever give him an actual name) just wasn’t in the movie.

How about some CreepSlayers?

BABY ELI PEPPERJACK CAME BACK LOOKING SO CUTE. So proud.

Bumbling knight oaf Steve the Palchuckian was great as usual.

I will say though. The whole pregnancy plot was just a way to get Eli and Steve out of the way. I could feel that the writers maybe didn’t like Steve so much since Wizards. But Steve was once again someone to laugh at. Pregnant and out of the way.

How about some Akiridions?

Aja my darling girl, oh how you’ve grown. I understand some think she has changed. However I must say that her preparing a plan B on the side was smart. She isn’t just a princess on earth anymore. She is a queen on a distant planet. So if she thought evacuation was best, it would ensure that everyone would live. And avoid losing more valuable people from her life. So no, I can’t blame her.

DJ Kleb was there. He was kinda doin his own thing and messing with Steve. Brother-in-law stuff.

It was good to see Varvatos Vex.

Stu was the man in the background working on the busy important things like working on the amulet. Personally I feel like the series REALLY underutilizes Stu A LOT so I was so happy to see him being a part of something huge.

And finally some Wizards.

Douxie my love, you were amazing as usual. His powers have grown greatly and have contributed to the adventure. But god the writers really do love to take everything away from him don’t they. It’s unfair.

Archie was kinda just there and just... I understand leaving Douxie but that doesn’t mean I like it.

Nari the sweetest. I can only imagine the guilt she felt to end Nomura. Her self sacrifice was probably the one in the movie most called for.

Alright now I’ll talk about the movie.

I can whole heartedly say this movie was rushed. To be honest I feel like the original writers weren’t completely in this. At least it felt kind of not so much Trollhunters or 3Below vibes but more Wizards, if that makes sense whatsoever. Something is off.

I just want to blame Merlin for everything. To hell with that guy.

The beginning sequence was great. A car chase to a moving train. Which ends up with Toby of course screwing up and breaking the brakes. Of course. The train falling off the tracks which ultimately ends up with Nari gone. Oh yeah, and video recordings of Magic, trolls and being taken in by the police. Great.

Our heroes go back to base on the new and improved Camelot. Where we discover that Barbara and Strickler are now engaged. Happy news and would secure that Jim has another Father figure in his life and his mother’s happiness. Which explains Strickler’s “stay behind” advice. Now he has a family to watch over. He must be careful and warns that Jim’s actions could cost so much that he might not be able to afford.

Enters our Majesty Aja and the new stud on the block, Eli. Dang I wish puberty hit me like that.Truck-kun strikes again. And also enters... the pregnancy thing. I will say, I didn’t mind it too much... at first. But there are complications. Steve is too young to be a father and dang 7 kisses?? I can’t help but feel like Aja should have mentioned that or it was a last minute plan to write out Steve and Eli. (Which it was.) It was funny sure cuz omegaverse and ALIENS but all together it’s really iffy.

They really had Douxie preform a body-swap spell only so it would be undone. And undoing the spell only hurt them both?? C’mon. C’mon.

And they mention the Krohnisfere. We’ll get back to it. Jim gets a brand new amulet infused with Akaridion tech. However theres an issue. It was created by Merlin right? Who is a wizard right? Who uses MAGIC. Shame Douxie wasn’t there to help make it. Ya know. 1/2 of the original creator of the AMULET. So it’s missing a huge part and for the sake of the plot, Jim doesn’t test the Amulet which is out of character personally.

Toby makes a silly big deal over a penny. I was actually hoping they would make it a silly Chekhov's gun later on. But no, it’s just Toby being loud and comedic relief.

The titans are released and we visit a very pregnant Steve. Ok so it’s a rushed kind of thing. ok.

Aja suggests evacuation. You can say it’s out of character but we need context. When Aja helped in the Doomsday Battle, she was ensured a way out but if she let the people of Arcadia perish. She decided to stay and help. But now the Trollhunter himself can’t help. So to ensure the survival of everyone, evacuation. A best chance for everyone to survive. Plus she is now a Queen. She rules over a whole planet which must change her thinking.

Now our characters are split into 3 teams:

Blinky, Archie, Archie’s dad and Claire for the Krohnisfere.

Jim, Aja, Toby, Strickler and Barbara for the Glacial Titan.

Nomura, Douxie and Aarrgh for the Earth Titan.

Now here is where I have problems. WHY. DID. THEY. SEND. TROLLS. TO. BRAZIL. IN. THE. DAY. Nomura dying was just so out of pocket. Unnecessary. I couldn’t even grieve properly I didn’t have a chance to process. The best thought I could think was “At least she’s with Draal now.” 10 seconds later, Strickler makes the choice to sacrifice himself. Because of Jim’s heroic’s, Strickler decided to try to save the most important people in his life. The person who was always dishonest finally had a chance to live a happy life with his family. The one who played it safe now had to make the final impulsive move. And unfortunately, his death was in vain. These deaths were just so forced. It wasn’t in any way good. And Strickler being one of the best written characters just going in such a way was just off. He died for nothing. He could have turned back and fought another battle but... no.

(BTW Barbara was just there... for Strickler’s death.)

We move to Babara and Jim having a heart to heart. I’m glad she didn’t blame Jim but a small moment of anger. Something a little more real for me but no I guess. Barbara will always just be Jim’s mom. She mention’s Jim’s father and it passed so quickly I missed it on my initial viewing. I’m happy that Jim’s father is never revealed or made a bigger part in his story. This is good representation for those of us who did have our fathers walk out on us. That we can grow despite our parents failing us.

And finally team Krohnisfere. Archie just leaves. He’s gone. Poor Douxie. A mentor and now his closest companion.

Our heroes meet up to go against the Volcanic Titan. In comes Varvatos Vex on a Gun Robot. Nice to see some good ol Gundam with a character mentioned throughout the entire trilogy. However it doesn’t last. BTW for the sake of survival, Aja leaves Jim and Toby. Iffy.

Douxie pulls a “Jason stop. This isn’t you.” thing with Nari and is reunited with his friend.(+ points for the shippers. It’s kinda winning me over?) Also, Claire now has the power to teleport a Titan. I know she’s much stronger than she was for the Trollhunters Sn 2 finale, but cmon. You can’t just say she’s out of magic juice and then pull this. C’mon.

(btw did the titan make a War of the Worlds tripod sound? No? Just me?)

Nari sacrifices herself and takes the other god with her. Which takes away Douxie’s other companion. Mr. Stark I don’t feel so good. Why does this movie hate Douxie so much. (I am so sorry shippers. Angst.)

BLINKY DIDN’T SEE A PAGE? ADDRESSING IT IN THE SHOW DOESN’T GIVE YOU A PASS. I forgot the word but this irony isn’t greatttt.

Jim now has to pull out the legendary sword Excalibur. But he can’t cuz he hasn’t harnessed the power of friendship.

And Steve is giving birth. At the worst time. What is this a zombie movie??? C’mon.

Jim says “Magic is friendship” And Stu is finally being used for one grand act. Seriously Stu is just so unappreciated. So he fixes the amulet with magic.

Basically everyone who went on top of the Volcanic titan falls off at some point. Except Jim cuz of course some 1v1.

ONCE AGAIN Claire is out of magic juice. Because... reasons.

Toby makes the choice to race to Jim’s side with the technology to cancel out magic. (Wait how does science stop magic again)

BTW, For the Good of all doesn’t hit as well BUT it’s not mentioning any glory towards stinky Merlin so I am happy with the change.

JIM HAS A NEW TRANSFORMATION. MY BOY. MY SON. I’M SO PROUD.

Toby races to Jim and his helmet falls off the taco truck. That honestly should have been a huge warning sign. I was worried he didn’t have armor but we know how this goes.

Jim defeats the final titan and everyone is happy. The fight is finally over.

STEVE HAS 7 KIDS. OUCH.

Seeing Jim run to Toby was heartbreaking. Now this is the one scene where the movie really let out actually process a character’s death. How on earth can you process your best friend, your most faithful companion dying. Jim goes through too much I swear to god.

Now let’s discuss the time travel plot. I honestly feel like they pulled some kind of Attack on Titan ending. The main character burdened with knowing the future and what could have been. And if everything is meant to be how it will be, destiny will reconnect them again. (Jlaire reincarnation AU???)

I’m actually ok with this ending. I understand people would want the time stone to return only a few minutes. But even then, the kiddos still have police records, so many people dead at the titan’s hands (or feet) and now the world knows about the existence of trolls thanks to the internet. In New York no less. And people are still dead.

We return the the beginning of everything, reflecting the “Unbecoming” episode.

(NGL I’m bothered that they didn’t do anything to stop Steve from bullying Eli, but Jim can’t do it. He’s saving it for Toby.)

And now finally, let’s discuss Toby becoming the Trollhunter. From the beginning, Toby never considered himself good enough to be the main star. Always the wingman, the 2nd best. Support. Now it was Toby’s turn to climb the ranks and be the Hero he’s always wanted to be. It’s Jim’s turn to live an easier high school life. I don’t doubt that he won’t follow Toby. But now he knows what to avoid and how to make the story process more smoothly.

I understand some are unsatisfied with this ending, which is kinda trademarked with Dreamwork’s shows. I get it. But honestly as of right now, I think I like the ending.

The amulet didn’t choose Jim because this Jim is not the same Jim as in Sn 1 Ep 1. He is a new man. And I think we all can agree that it’s his turn to be happy.

I still love this series so much. It is my favorite cartoon. Of course it has it’s flaws, but this ending is at least satisfactory and not heartbreaking. Now it’s up to us to either continue the story or contribute our ideas in fanfiction. I look forward to everyone’s creations.

Was warming up to work on things when my power went out for a few hours because of the massive amount of rain Texas is getting recently....ah well theres always tomorrow.

for now, i was curious how My oc actually would fit into the world i crafted her for and it had me realize a few things....alan...honey not that I dont mind...but you draw all (if not most) your your woman the same, the main ones anyways but even some of your villainesses too! Heed, Demi, the new slime girl, and penumbra side by side have the same body shape across the board...penny being the exception but cmon my guy....Sidekick here's only 5′0 even....shes SHORT. translating her was so hard as the legs for most of the models were always long. (might actually make a post about this later with other examples as alan’s made a habit of showing off villain's in the show fairly well so i have a library to work with)

Secondly it had me realize some flaws in my own art...or at least errors that dont connect with the original style...obviously, her rounder features and more shapely body as opposed to the fitter and leaner villainos style...

also did the coloring for sidekick the same as the show on the left as opposed to my detailed shading and overuse of blue to highlight dark parts

overall fun exercise, id love to try this with other styles and other ocs i love to flaunt...or even actual characters i used to draw all the time that fell by the wayside!

Listen, me drawing stuff takes forever and me writing something out is a much quicker process while I work on the thing I’m drawing on, lol.

Issac: he’s owned by both of us, technically

This is basically about an AU where Ida and Jimmy have a kid (through literally no fault of their own. A tree just decided to give them a kid, and they didn’t even have to raise it. Win-win).

Said kid shows up to Middleverse all grown up and has a rather odd mission, but he’s only just met Ida and Jimmy, so he won’t share that information with them quite yet..

The quiet shop was just what Issac needed after such a weird and hectic day.

He honestly didn’t expect anything less than ‘hectic’ and ‘weird’, considering it was his first day opening his shop.

Apparently monsters greatly enjoyed having someone tailor their clothes to fit their exact needs. Issac had long since lost count of how many people needed pants adjusted for tails so that they wouldn’t need to cut a hole in some obscenely expensive jeans, therefore ruining the aesthetic and quality.

Now, though, it was just about closing time, and Issac was ready to lock the doors, pop in his headphones and ignore the world for however long he could.

Perks of being deaf, you could say- when you have aids, you choose what you want to focus on when it comes to noise.

The silence was disrupted when Issac heard a rather loud thud come from the downstairs area.

“I told you to be careful.”

“How was I supposed to know there was a chair there?”

“Listening.”

“Why couldn’t we just have phased in?”

“Because it’s rude and one of us can’t phase.”

“I could’ve phased you in.”

“I’m not gonna-“

“Ahem.”

The bickering two glanced up at the balcony-thing, revealing none other than the owner of the tailor shop.

Issac already seemed tired of them, and his frown deepened when he recognized them.

“Ida.” He pointed at the blonde man. “Jimmy.” He pointed at the man with black hair.

“Hey, you remember us!”

“How can I forget the people thatve been here earlier? This is what... your third time coming in today? And you guys haven’t bought anything. It’s getting annoying.”

Issac headed down the stairs, draping some jeans over his arm as he passed them, heading to his desk.

“Unless you plan on commissioning me to adjust your clothes, please leave. I was supposed to close two minutes ago. I’ve got work to do.”

“Are you sure we can’t stay just as guests?” Ida chimed in.

Issac narrowed his eyes, looking between the two of them.

“I didn’t know Middleverse had a welcoming party.”

“Usually there isn’t.” Jimmy shrugged, taking his time in looking around the shop before looking back at the other. “You’re a special case.”

“Oh, really?” Issac scoffed, packing up the pants and shirts into a bag. “How kind.”

“What’s the reason? Strange new guy or can you sense the hidden hurt?” Issac said this last part teasingly, snorting to himself. “New guy comes to town and everyone can magically tell he has a tragic backstory.”

“Well, not exactly-“ Ida started to speak, but stopped when Issac tossed his bag up to the second floor.

“Good, because sadly for you, there isn’t anything for you two here. No tragic backstory, no hidden sadness. Just someone trying to close their shop. Shoo.”

At this, he tried to push the two out, impatience barely maintained.

“Can we at least offer you something to drink? Cmon, I know a great club near here where I can get you cheap drinks.” Jimmy ducked out from Issacs pushing, nearly making him topple.

“Why would I want drinks from the likes of you?” Now he was truly getting impatient. “Can’t you just, I don’t know, leave to go flirt with someone?”

“Why would you assume I’m gonna flirt with someone?” Jimmy raised a brow, finding one of the comfortable chairs nearby and sitting himself into it.

Now Issac seemed to have accepted that he wasn’t getting rid of these two easily, so he sighed and went to get a bottle of water.

“You’ve got a ‘I’m super confident’ face, I guess? It’s just a feeling about you, or something. A gut instinct, as Mom called it. The way you offered drinks at this club. Either you’re an employee at that club, or you’re the owner.”

Jimmy started to talk again, but Issac cut him off.

“Only those kinds of people can offer free or cheap drinks. This isn’t my first time meeting someone like you.”

When everyone had gotten waters, Issac sat on his desk for a few more moments, knowing the silence wouldn’t last.

“Now, are you guys going to leave, or are you going to tell me why you’re following me.”

Ida froze, looking between Jimmy and Issac as he considered what to say.

“What do you mean, following you?” Jimmy leaned back in his chair.

“I mean, I’ve seen you in my shop three times today, and I’ve seen you guys on the street outside. Something about you two is just... weird.”

“Got any evidence to prove we’re stalking you?”

“Well.... no.”

“Then how would you know if we even are? I have better things to do than stalk a tailor.”

“It’s just...”

“Gut instinct?” Jimmy guessed

“.... yeah, I guess.”

“I promise ya, we’re not following you. Just wanted to see what the hubbub was all about. Now cmon, those drinks are still in the table. Come introduce yourself to the others.”

Issac was hesitant now, but a quick glance around his shop, and he nodded.

“Alright. But just one drink, I have work to do tonight.”

“Can do.” Jimmy nodded

Issac was now successful in ushering them out of his store, making sure the lights were turned off and the doors were locked.

“What did you guys say your names were, again?”

“I’m Ida, Ida Valentine.”

“Jimmy Crossroads, nice to meet ya.”

“Oh, I think I’ve heard about you two.” Issac put his keys in his pocket, following the other two down the road.

“Oh did ya?”

“Yeah, people keep telling me I look like you.”

“Maybe it’s the hair.”

“Yeah, maybe. Probably not often you see black haired people, huh?”

Despite the odd conclusion (and the glare from Ida over said conclusion), the trio made their way down to the club, Issac either half-listening to what Jimmy and Ida were talking about, and half thinking about his plans.

“Hey, kid? You awake?”

“Yeah. Issac, by the way, just call me Issac.”

“Good, thought we lost ya there. Penny for your thoughts?”

“I’d rather sell them for a dollar.”

“Quite the salesman. But really, what’s eating at ya?”

“Just thinking about what I’m going to do in the near future.”

There they went again, sharing a glance that seemed to hold an entire conversation.

“Can we know?” Ida chimed in, giving a smile.

“No. No one plots a revenge out loud.”

Issac smiled, letting himself walk behind them a bit so he could go back to being lost in his thoughts.

Ida, on the other hand, murmured to Jimmy, “Dude, we’re so fucking dead.”

Autumn winds interlude: a justified rescue.

Monsters gazes around the corners, curious of these humans and the whereabouts of the caretaker, bandy whipped his head around, causing the monsters to scurry away, bandy came up next to autumn. Who was talking to katt [*do you remember anything from when you were alive first? Like any family or anything?] Katt had a thoughtful look on her face, before shrugging. "I mean, i don't know, but every time i look at the gun you brought from the house,i don't know, i feel like I'm... Forgetting something... Something...important.." said katt with a finger on her chin. Autumn patted katt on the back [*don't worry. Save your thoughts, we'll have everything figured out when we find your souls. For now, let's find yellow.] The yellow soul puts a hand against autumns chest and points forward. There lay a body, it was a light skinned girl, with long brown hair that had yellow stripes at the ends, a jacket, a frilled white shirt, black pants and cowboy boots, along with a holster for a gun, autumn quickly got to work, first cleaning the blood from the wounds, also noticing her fingers missing, she remembers the jar of fingers she found in the fridge of the house, not quite a nice memory in her book, she quickly took the fingers from the jar, cringing in disgust, then sowing them back onto the girls hand, then moving to the head scar, using the bonemeal she rubbed it into the brain hole, then putting a bandage over it, cleaning any other wounds, the body was ready, the yellow soul lay on the ground, where the body was and sunk into it. The girls eyes opened and she began to breathe, suddenly shooting up and feeling her head, sighing she saw a hand reach out to her, she took it and stood up, autumn then shook the girls hand [*heya, names autumn, and these are my pals, nona, bandy, irro, katt and penny. You remember your name?] The girl shook her head. Autumn then put a hand on the girls shoulder. [*Well, you look pretty justified, so I'll call you... Jodie!] Jodie thought about it before smiling "Jodie...I like that." Autumn then handed Jodie a bag, it contained a hat, a gun, a phone a lightweight jacket and a few other things, Jodie put on her hat, her jacket around her waist and put her gun in her holster. [*You're hair is so cool! You look like you came out of a neon gliders comic!] Jodie blushed and muttered a "thank you" autumn then noticed the compass before grabbing the around her neck and showing Jodie. [*I have one too!] Jodie chuckled and looked at katt, katt looked back at Jodie, they both seemed to be in a daze before looking away. [*You guys know each other?] Katt rubbed the back of her neck. "I mean, she looks familiar but it's all coming up blank.." Jodie shrugged "yeah, i got nothin'" autumn then turned and looked back. [*Cmon guys lets head back to frisk!] The others followed autumn out of the corridors of the ruins, through the house, down the stairs, through the big door and out into the snow, autumn gave Jodie a juice box and an energy bar, Jodie smiled and ate them, autumn and the others reached the river persons boat. [*Waddup! Waddup river man!] Riverperson chuckled and let the lot into the boat. "Tralalala, where to now?" Said the riverperson. [*Prison, we've got one more soul to save] riverperson started the boat and off they went. Back to where it all started. Autumn looked at all the others, some were laughing, others were staring at the water moving, autumn thought about when they would have to go home, would they stay in touch? Did they live far? Autumn could only have courage that they would remain friends after this adventure. She could only have courage.
