something about when gamer men do the whole "ugh women just don't get why we love gaming so much :(". Well. maybe if women were actually treated seriously as gamers and gaming stopped being seen as a Male Activity where they get yelled at and harassed in voice chats or made to feel like the only games they're allowed to touch are the sims and stardew valley played on their pink computers

maybe women would 'get' gaming if gaming 'got' women

Hey all, just a little update for anyone curious because I know I haven't been as active much lately! Maybe also a little bit of a vent/hopeful rambling

Holidays wiped me out the way they always do. Too much family xD So at first it was just that, I was overstimulated and needed some time to level out.

But I have also been dealing with a persistent shoulder injury which... for the last few months had been doing better, but over the holidays flared up to get really bad again. I'm talking multiple rock-solid trigger points, one over three inches long. Using it very much at all causes circulation issues in my arm - my hand will turn purple lmfao, and pulls on my neck muscles so bad it can even upset my ear balance/cause dizziness and give me migraines.

This makes it pretty hard to sit down in front of my keyboard for any length of time, the pain can be nauseating.

I'm having some work done on it starting today to hopefully get things back under control. But it's why I haven't been scrolling tumblr as much or as able to do as many doodles, and have been slower replying to asks. I have to work slowly to avoid flaring the pain.

Fingers crossed my appointment goes well and I get some relief! I've been itching to reply to a lot of your asks and wishing I was around more to send them myself. Thank you all for your patience!

(Please also don't let this stop you from sending things in, either! I might be slower than usual, but I still really enjoy getting them and working on them as I can)

I was hoping to upgrade my PC this year, but I’m also looking at top surgery and possibly also facial surgery to correct my jaw problems, and my best friend has invited me to go to Japan with her in the fall

I need more money if I’m gonna do even one or two of these things… probably can’t do em all….

#I feel like the jaw thing should be top priority and then top surgery after that (ironic given the name)#then Japan and then PC. maaaaaybe my brother will be able to join me on the trip and help cover costs #we’ll see. time to talk to doctors first #personal #the PC is like 12 years old now so. pretty overdue for an upgrade honestly #at the very least I need a new SSD bc I have barely any space on this thing #constantly uninstalling shit to make room for other shit like a game of musical chairs with my files

sorry for dipping! my pc died (she held out for so long 💔) so i’m waiting to actually have a day off to build my new one !

#i also had to buy a new chair n desk bc the chair had been broken for like a year n i broke the desk trying to move it after the pc died #so ! goodbye xmas money ..#at least now i can play games without the pc sounding like it’s about to blast off #this weekend is like 40°c / 104°f so i won’t be building it until next week sometime #until then. blows kisses
