TONIGHT AT 4 PM CST: It's another short stream, but a really cool one: we're checking out the obscure mecha shmup GOD FIGHTER ZEROIGAR for the PC-FX! I had never heard of this until a few days ago, but I'm dying to check it out! It even has anime cutscenes!

Why Did the NEC PC-FX Fail So Hard? A Look at What Went Wrong!

Early 3D game consoles (e.g. PS1) were actually very weak and did not have much advantage over 2D game consoles (e.g. PC-FX). However, 3D games were new products and a popular trend(At that year,So Happy Meow~!!!!…………3D Meow~!!!!!!………………), so 2D game consoles were eliminated. In fact, there is still can be some market for 2D game consoles that focus on certain game types (2D action games...).

I think that small companies are better at (segmenting the market) and (concentrating on certain advantages). It is easier to survive than competing with large companies in multiple fields.

Example: Small companies only produce specific 2D game consoles, and the hardware cost is far lower. By establishing a 2D game ecosystem, you can achieve (low cost, differentiation...) and avoid the race track of 3D game consoles (powerful hardware and picture performance, high cost……...)
