I’m still kinda mourning Overwatch especially because I learned that on April Fool’s Day they changed everyone’s ultimate voice line to a joke alternative (i.e. instead of “It’s high noon”, he says “It’s past your bedtime”)

But more importantly, whenever Winston jumps, he just says “Winston”

Hey, 🕊️ here, it’s been a LONG time and I have a decent amount to say.

Honestly I took a huge break from phighting after the phestival, I returned for the April fools update and the phrenzy but that’s pretty much it. In the meantime I’ve been playing quite a lot of overwatch, which phighting is heavily inspired by, and I have a lot of thoughts.

First off, as I’ve discussed in previous asks, fandoms will be fandoms, kids will be kids, all of that. Pretty sure you can find my other asks under the 🕊️anon tag.

This may be kinda unorganized as it is currently 4 am while I’m typing this so hooray I am NOT proofreading any of this lol

From what I’ve seen, it’s very obvious most phighting fans haven’t played many team fighting games before, which hey, everyone starts somewhere, maybe this will lead more people to enjoy games like OW and TF2.

The amount of activity from the devs to balance the game is insane, especially for such a small team. They’re constantly rolling out changes to characters and experimenting with things to balance the game, which is already balanced pretty damn well compared to other games. Compare this to Blizzard, which has teams of people working on overwatch, rolling out changes almost once a month.

A lot of people complain about lack of lore, or loopholes, but the thing is that phighting was never meant to be story-based. This has been said by the devs countless times, I really don’t know where people are getting the idea that it’s meant to be a fully flushed out world.

It’s also pretty obvious that most of the people complaining have zero clue about game development, especially in Roblox. The devs dedicate hours of their time to work on this game, which is a passion project.

Now about the phrenzy

To put it simply: in the nicest way possible, if your day is ruined by a Roblox game, it is your own fault.

Was the phrenzy not the most organized? Yeah. But it’s a Roblox game. I understand wanting the rewards and being frustrated, I have severe FOMO with things like this, but all of the rewards will be available in the future. One of my close friends got into the top 1%, and I’m certain that I could’ve gotten there too, but I decided that I wasn’t going to dedicate all of my time to the phrenzy, as I didn’t want it to feel like a chore. The way people attacked Aidn was completely uncalled for, and people need to realize that the world will not end if you don’t get a game cosmetic.

I have SO much more to say but it’s quite late and this is already quite lengthy, so until next time
