The door opened silently. His gaze swept over the empty bar and locked on Killian for a moment, noting that the rest of the crew was missing. The only individuals in the room were Harry, his father....and her.
He'd apparently also walked in on an argument. Harry's back was turned towards the door as he unleashed what sounded like years of pent-up emotions upon the blue-haired captain. Her features easy to read in the moment as shock and rage seemed to flicker over her features.
Flicking his gaze back toward Killian he held the man's for a long moment, unsure of what the other would find in his own before finally striding forward. One hand extending to the side to keep Sanji back, the other still loosely gripping the white hilt at his side. His steps near silent. The accumulation of years upon years of training. He was one who followed the way of the sword. Many forgot that meant he was a deadly threat until it was too late. Such as the girl who was standing before his crew mate.
Coming to a halt so that his body was slightly in front of Harry's, clearly putting himself between the two of them his free hand moved to rest lightly on top of the one already holding a hilt. Cool gaze locking with Uma's as the mask he'd been wearing since he'd walked in remained firmly in place. It wasn't detached or emotionless like he had a feeling she'd expect, nor full of rage. Cool calculation emanated from the set of his jaw and the slight narrowing of his eyes.
He was Luffy's first mate. Harry was part of his crew. And this girl was causing his crew pain.
"I'm going to give you two options." Even his voice was even, steady. The calm before the storm, the ice compared to Luffy's warmth. Logic vs. reason. "You either back off and leave our crewmate alone or I take care of you right here."
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sanji watched his crew mate (and somewhat friend) closely, unsure if he wanted to know what was going on in the moss head's mind with who calm he was being after it all. Although, whatever Zoro decided to do, Sanji knew that he would side with the First Mate, as would Luffy.
The squeeze to his shoulder surprised him but he gave a short nod in response, staying silent as he strode by his side back to the bar in silence. His last cigarette on the floor as he put his hands in his pockets and moved in silence.
Luffy had originally ordered everyone back to the Sunny, even Gil and Harry who were extremely apologetic the moment they realized that they had gone too far. But, Hook then stepped in and offered them all rooms on land if they wanted to use them, ones with fully kitted out bathrooms and everything that they would need; something that Nami immediately jumped at followed by the others.
Harry had been the only one to stay in the bar as the night passed, barely sleeping even with the stern glares from Luffy and Hook; both of them giving in to the Hook stubbornness as Luffy was directed to bed by the elder Captain.
"Go away Uma" Harry glared angrily at his old friend, she had approached him and immediately started trying to get him to join her crew considering his own was upset with him; and the look in her eyes was what made Harry realize how toxic she was "Don't you get it?! I never sailed with you, not because I wasn't allowed, but because I didn't trust you! I don't give a shit if you'd make me your first mate now" he interrupted her harshly when she went to speak "I'm happy where I am! Luffy is a fucking amazing Captain! His crew is a family not just a group of like minded individuals and Zoro is my heart! Don't you get it?! I'm gay you fucking idiot! I always have been and always will be! And if Zoro ever forgives me for CJ's stunt then I'll happily give my all to him, he's saved my life so many times both from outside sources and from myself! You only ever made me feel the need to off myself with your fawning and words about my ma and pa being twice as good as what I am!"

@bcndtheknee for Uma
Gil had slipped into some house.  He doesn’t even know if people live in it but he doesn’t need the police to catch him now does he ? He had shut the windows and locked it when he turned around to see if anyone was there.  He looks in the rooms until he sees someone.

BERXTIGHTROPE ONESHOT - Worlds collide

Lia flew high above the kingdom, looking for something, anything that might help her figure out a way to free all the prisoners from Mal’s iron grip. She sighed, dipping below the sparse clouds, the moonlight shining at her back.
Ben…it had almost seemed like the spell had begun to break, as if just the mere presence of her was freeing Ben from Mal's grip.
If only she had been able to get a singular hand on him, maybe fly away with him in her arms. Lia sighed, casting alert but slightly bored eyes across the ground, dying forests and fields zooming below her.
She stopped as a bright flash came from a good 100 feet away in the forest below her, it had been bright blue and she swore she heard someone fall and curse as it disappeared. Lia carefully looked around, searching for any of Mal's guards but there were none to be found or heard. She curled her wings in and dived out of the sky, narrowing her eyes slightly as the ground came at her quickly.
Just before she hit the treetops she flared her wings out, the trees fanning out with the strong gust of wind that burst from her wings. Lia glided down to the forest floor, holding her breath as she spotted a dark form leaning against a tree a good 20 feet away from her. She tucked her wings in to hide the slight glow permeating from them and ducked behind a tree, peeking at the dark form that was seemingly trying to catch their breath.
“fuck” they muttered, standing straight and looking around “enchanted forest, okay then” the shadow seemed to know their way around then? They stepped out into the moonlight, the beams illuminating them so Lia now had a clear look at them.
They almost seemed like they were a part of Captain Hook’s crew, but….it felt like they were a part of the resistance if anything-if just from their vibes. They wore a long-tailed scarlet jacket that stopped at their calves, the main torso part resting off their shoulders held up by dark purple shoulder armor and a gold chain, a white billowing button-up that was cinched at their waist by a red scarf, black pants that were armored by the same purple armor at the knees, calf-high combat boots, their arms and hands were armored too…and….and was that Uma’s necklace? Why did they have Uma’s necklace?
“YOU THERE, STOP; ON THE ORDERS OF OUR WICKED RULERS, MALEFICENT AND MAL” Lia pulled herself even further behind the thick tree, watching with wide eyes as Mal's guards came into view, surrounding the scarlet-clad woman (as Lia had just realized from their slightly revealed chest and feminine features, though they could be a dude, no judgment there) and pointing their weapons at her “you are to come with us, now!”
The woman muttered to herself, rubbing her face. One of the guards grit his teeth and stepped closer, poking her armored shoulder with his spear “Speak up!”
“first off, how the fuck did you know I was right here? Yall have some sort of tracking system?” the woman said again, loudly and snarky, turning to the guard with a snarl on her scarred lips. “and second off; Maleficent AND Mal? Girl never got over her mommy issues here I see” the guards looked off-put at her words, and Lia tilted her head in slight confusion. She talked about Mal as if she had been familiar with her, or…at least a version of her?  “third” Lia’s eyes widened as the shell necklace on the woman's chest glowed, and she held out her hand; a trident appearing in a bright flash of golden light. “you really think im going to…what is the phrase…come quietly?” the guards, for once, looked scared, and Lia was impressed.
The woman chuckled, brushing her hair back, revealing her heavily scarred face. “not likely….now,” she slammed the end of the trident to the ground, lighting cracking from the suddenly dark sky that rumbled with thunder “who’s first?”
It was silent for a good moment before all the guards yelled a battle cry, all rushing her at the same time. The woman chuckled once again and flipped the trident in her hands. She blocked the first spear with the prongs, tossing it back and then using the butt of the trident to knock the guard out, his helmet flying off and landing a few feet away from Lia’s feet.
The second spearman was thrown back with a kick, lightning dispersing from the prongs of the woman’s trident and coursing through the guard's armor, rendering him unconscious with wicked burns.
Lia watched in near awe as this woman beat back the guards, her skills were all too impressive.  She dodged to the side as a sword sliced down where she just was, and kicked at the guard's knees then slammed the prongs into his head, his helmet ringing out and the guard slumped to the ground.
“Hades, and here I thought at least one of you would be sort of competent” the woman muttered, spinning the trident once again, lazily this time, staring bored at the last three guards. The head guard bared his teeth and attempted to rush the woman with his sword, his scream cut short by the woman ducking down and sweeping at his feet, then standing and slamming the side of the trident prongs against his head, a loud crack resounding in the area. The guard fell, blood pouring from his head.
The last two guards stood in fear, eyes wide as they looked down at their captain. “uh, you know what?” the bulkier guard of the last two dropped his halberd and backed away slowly “not worth it” his fellow guard nodded, dropping his sword, the two turned on their heels and tried to run off, only to be struck down by a crashing bolt of lightning. Lia gasped, looking back towards the woman, her eyes glowing red and the trident and shell necklace crackling with lightning.
“like I would let you run” she muttered, walking towards the now-dead men and turning one over with her boot, clicking her tongue as she saw the dragon symbol on his armor “lame-ass design, really Mal? for an artist you have no creativity” she muttered, taking her boot off and walking away from the bodies, Lia went to follow, but the woman disappeared in a flash of lighting.
Lia huffed, committing her image to memory and flying off back towards the bass. It seemed this woman was an enemy to Mal, from how she talked about her and gave to quarter to Mal's guards.
Maybe she could be helpful, but first, they needed to find her and find out what side she was really on.
-
Uma was perplexed, a woman, who just…suddenly appeared, even more suddenly than Lia and her daughter had. Clad in a scarlet jacket, wielding a trident, one that matched the description of THE Poseidon's trident, as in the actual god of the seas Poseidon; and apparently had a necklace that looked way too close to Uma’s necklace to be a coincidence. Harry perked up from behind Uma as Lia once again described the woman's appearance, disappearing into his and Uma’s room for a moment before reappearing with a large folded piece of scarlet leather.
“is this wha’ tha’ jacket looked like?” Harry unfolded the fabric, revealing a long scarlet tailcoat, and Lia nodded, from the stitch on the left sleeve to the burns on the end of the tail, it was the very same jacket the woman had on “I heard yeh describin’ tha’ style of it and’ I jus’ thought ‘hey that sounds like the jacket I used to wear when I was young’ and…I guess it is…question is” Harry folded the jacket and set it down on Uma’s desk “why did this girl have meh jacket? Especially one I haven’t worn since I was twenty-two”
Lia and Uma shrugged, not knowing what to say. But it was a good question, why did this random woman have Harry’s old jacket? Why did she have a legendary trident? Why did she have what looked to be Uma’s necklace? “i-I also saw one last thing, It was right before she disappeared” Lia reached out, grabbing onto Harry’s left arm gently, lilting his hand into the air, revealing the gleaming silver hook he was holding. “she had this exact hook attached to her hip.” Harry and Uma looked even more perplexed, things were just adding up; who the hell was this woman and why did she have things of theirs?
“We need to find her” Uma finally muttered, holding her hands in front of her lips, staring off at nothing “we need to make sure she’s not a threat, at least to us” Lia and Harry nodded, ready to follow her lead.
“who knows, maybe like Lia, she’s from another world?” Harry said, shrugging a bit as Lia hummed in slight agreement.
“or maybe she’s from another universe?” Uma perked up as Gil poked his head into the room “sorry was listening in, but-it kinda sounds like she's from an alternate dimension where Mal also took over and she's the last survivor? That’s why she has copies of your stuff? Because it’s the same stuff but, her version?” Lia, Uma, and Harry just stared at him for a moment before Uma sighed.
“okay that…is very plausible actually” she muttered, tapping her fingers on her desk “…still, we need to find her. Lia, think you can do another flyover?” Lia nodded, her wings appearing behind her as she did “thank you, I’ll look through the seas” Harry took her hand as she stood, Lia already walking out of the room.
“stay safe darling” Harry muttered, pressing a kiss to the top of her hand. Uma smiled and kissed his cheek.
“I will, tell Cordelia where I am when she gets back with Gabby” Harry nodded, watching his wife off as she dove into the sea entrance/exit in search of this unknown woman.
-two days later-
Cordelia, Gabby, and K’Marah stared at the little girl that rested in Gabby’s arms, her head tucked into the teen's neck, her messy blonde pig-tails fluffing up against her brown jacket. “so, what do we do with it?” Cordelia asked, not really knowing what to do with such a small child, whose slit-like pupils and slight fangs gave her pause. She seemed to be a fae child, but-more of the kind like the fairy godmothers of Aurora, not one like Mal.
“I don’t know, maybe we bring her back to your mom?” Gabby said to Cordelia, readjusting the 5-year-old in her arms, her sunset Ombre dress bunching up against her hands. K’Marah hummed, crossing her arms, attempting to be careful about this, fae child. What if she was from Mal’s side?
“I don’t know, what if she’s with Mal? A trap set for us” the child cried slightly at that, her eyes turning purple. K’Marah felt like she had accidentally stepped on a landmine “uh-…do you know Mal?”
The child shook her head, scrunching her nose in anger “bad lady, evil! hurt my auntie, hurt my daddy and his friends!” the three teenagers looked to each other at that, then nodded. This child was obviously against Mal, and her family had been ripped apart by the evil fae.
“let’s get her back to the hideout, my mom will be able to help” Cordelia muttered, nodding back towards the general area of the base. The three had left to do a reconnaissance mission and on their way back had found the child, and now it was time to return with one extra person.
Cordelia froze as she spotted a flash of armor moving from behind the trees, and then she ran, her friends quickly following her lead as guards flooded from the forest, armed with their usual weapons. But there was one she hadn’t expected; a brute of a man, armored in heavy-duty black metal, holding a large gun, that glowed with purple and green energy in its vents “RUN!” Cordelia screamed, Gabby at her heels with the little girl in her arms as K’Marah took to the skies in panic. Cordelia could feel the magic streaming from the weapon, the weapon meant to kill.
“run piggies run~!” the man called, obviously deranged enough to enjoy what he was doing; hunting down children. The gun started to whir, the barrel gathering magic at the end, and then it fired, hurtling right at Cordelia and her friends. K’Marah dove at Gabby and slammed her away from the blast, Cordelia jumping to the other side and slamming on her shoulder, sliding slightly on the rough grass. “oh, I missed. oh well~!” the guard cocked the gun, aiming right at the disoriented Cordelia, “say goodbye shrimpy jr!”
Gabby screamed out in terror, the child in her arms beginning to cry as K’Marah lept up and tried to get to Cordelia, but she was grounded by a strong iron chain wrapping around her arms and wings and pinning her to the ground.
“CORDELIA” Gabby and K’Marah screamed as the large gun fired, the large dark purple bullet of magic zooming towards her. Cordelia whimpered and closed her eyes, a tear slipping down her cheek.
‘mom, dad; I love you, im sorry’ she thought to herself, wishing for her last thought to reach them as she felt the heat of the bullet burn at her skin.
Her friends screamed in terror as the bullet exploded, purple smoke erupting from the spot Cordelia had once been. The guards laughed at their victory, then it went dead silent, an air of unease developing among them.
Cordelia gasped as her hat flew off her head and she reached out to grab it, then as she was shoving it back on, she realized she hadn’t died. She could still feel the rough forest grass beneath her, the warm sun on her back.
She was alive? How? She turned, stopping as a flash of metal blinded her slightly. She groaned and rubbed her eye, jaw-dropping as she looked up.
Tumblr media
There, in front of her; was a woman, clad in a scarlet leather jacket, with dark purple armor…and a golden trident in her left hand, the residual magic from the bullet traveling down her body like crackles of lightning.
And on her chest, was a glowing shell necklace, that looked exactly like her mother's. “wha’?” Cordelia muttered, locking eyes with Gabby and K’Marah as they looked back at her in complete shock. The child in Gabby’s arms giggled with delight.
“Auntie~!” the woman glanced at her and smiled, before glaring back at the guards, who all took a step back; for the woman had taken the shot for Cordelia, and didn’t even flinch, the magic hadn’t hurt her one bit.
“How cowardly, to fight children like this” the woman muttered, the sun was suddenly blocked by dark clouds, rumbling with thunder and lightning flying across the darkness “grown men, bullying children…fucking pathetic” the woman flashed forward, sending her knee into the heavy armor of the brute, he laughed for a split second, thinking she could do nothing but he suddenly gagged out blood, his armor cracking and folding back under the woman’s knee pad. He flew back, crashing against a tree and toppling it over with the force.
“HOLY SHIT” the other guards screamed out in fear, all readying their weapons, one throwing their chain and spiked ball, yelping as she caught the chain and pulled him to her, his face impaled by her trident. She kicked him off and used his weapon against his fellow guards, two being smashed into a tree by the spiked ball.
She raised her arm up as two guards swung their weapons at her, the halberd and sword shattering as they hit her armor. The woman laughed as they stumbled back and twisted around, kicking one guard back and using her trident to slice at the other’s neck, both flopping to the ground, one dead and one unconscious.
Cordelia could only watch as this woman demolished Mal’s well-trained guards, Cordelia could hold her own against them, easily in fact. she knew she was good at combat, but this woman…hell she would even compare her to Ares. She peeked around the growing pile of bodies, seeing the brute guard, still lying against the three, blood pouring from beneath him into the grass. “holy shit” Cordelia muttered, yelping as she felt herself be picked up by her armpits. “CORDELIA” Harry and Uma yelled, holding their daughter close as Gabby and K’Marah were coddled by their parents, the child in Gabby’s arms giggling as Gil gently took her from Gabby’s arms.
“Daddy~” the child laughed, Gil holding her away from him with wide eyes.
“Uhhhh no? I’m not your dad sweetheart” Gil stuttered out, sending a panicked look to his friends, who just stared at the woman, who-exactly like Lia described, wore Harry’s jacket, had Uma’s necklace, and had the legendary trident in her hands “guys?!?...holy fuck”
The woman blocked several blows from the last guard, holding his sword and striking the woman in panicked motions, hoping to get out of this altercation alive. He screamed as the woman knocked his blade out of his hands and impaled him with the trident, her eyes glowing red as she looked down at his slumping body.
“pleased now?” she muttered to herself, tilting her head as it seemed like someone spoke to her “later…we have an audience” she looked to Uma and Harry, her eyes flashing with slight sadness before looking over the rest of the group “Arwen!” the child, Arwen, stopped trying to pull at Gil’s necklace and wiggled around till Gil set her down, and she bolted over to her ‘auntie’
“Auntie!” the woman's armor vanished with a flash of gold from the shell necklace and she leaned down to pick Arwen up, her eyes softening as Arwen wrapped her short arms around her neck “that was so cool!”
“Thank you” the woman hummed, her trident disappearing in a golden flash as she started to walk towards the group, who all stared at her afraid. “but I think we have some explaining to do, don’t we?” Arwen looked back at her ‘daddy’ and nodded.
“Who are you and how the fuck did you do that, and why do you have our stuff?” Uma demanded, the clouds thundering slightly at her raging emotions as Harry pushed Cordelia behind him, holding his hook up at the ready.
“my name is Rose” the woman, finally named, said with a calm look on her face. “Rose Hook” Harry and Uma paused at that “im from an alternate universe, possibly nearly the same as this one. Mal in my world also took over Auradon, and im one of the few survivors of it” Uma and Harry looked at Gil, who just threw his hands up “he guessed it perfectly didn’t he?” Rose asked amused, scrunching her nose as Gil nodded, crossing his arms.
“down to the details!” Gil yelled, smiling a bit as Gabby rolled her eyes at her dad’s antics. Rose hummed, looking back to Uma.
“I think we have more to talk about, Uma” Uma’s eyes widened at that and she took a small step back. “before you ask, in my world, the three of us” she gestured to her and Harry, then to Gil “were close friends…and-…well Harry and I were together in my world” Uma turned, looking at Harry who just stared back, Cordelia behind him looking very confused and slightly possessive over her parents “but-that’s not important…in my world, Mal…Mal killed all three of you…and all I had left were your things” Rose held the shell necklace in her fist, the hook hitched to her hip gleaming under the sunlight, and for the first time Uma noticed a small bull pendant on her belt. “I wear them as a fuck you to Mal” Rose chuckled sadly, releasing the necklace and holding Arwen close as the child cuddled into her cheek “but…yeah…that’s the basics”
After a few moments of silence, Uma finally nodded “let’s get back to base before more guards come” Harry and Gil nodded, and Rose followed close behind the group as Uma led the way back to base, Lia checking over K’Marah’s wings one last time.
-
It took about an hour and a half of explaining, but Rose had told Uma, Harry, and Lia everything that had happened in her world, from how it started to how it was going; from when the then Prince Ben had invited the core four along with Harry and Gil, the seven vks choosing good and defeating Mal's mother together.
And to four years later, when Mal betrayed them all, embarrassment from her failure to save Audrey turning her heart dark and bitter, spelling Ben once again and attempting to murder Rose. Rose proved her story by her ghastly scar on her chest, and with her phone, which still had all the pictures and photos of her world.
“All alright…that’s a lot to take in” Uma muttered, leaning back in her chair as Rose finished telling her story, Arwen sitting in her lap playing with her fingers. “now…what do we do?”
“simple, I help you take down Mal and her mother, help you free Auradon” Uma frowned, pursing her lips slightly as Rose stared back at her determined.
“you’re already dealing with your Mal, I won't ask you to risk yourself for our world” Rose just shook her head.
“Does It look like I care? I can take care of Mal as soon as I get back, she doesn’t even know im alive. Let me help you, and then you can help me find a way back, deal?” Rose held out her hand, Uma’s necklace shimmering slightly as it caught Uma's eye. Uma chuckled and leaned forward, shaking Rose’s hand.
“Deal”
Lia smiled, happy to have another powerful ally on their team, and who knows? Maybe this Rose can help her free Ben?
-end-

I'm y/n, the second daughter of Aurora, also known as sleeping beauty. Unlike my sister Audrey, I’m a lot less ‘princessey’. I don’t consider myself selfish, unlike her, I’d care more for others happiness and health than my own.
Harry has been in Auradon now for six month, since he’s been here, him and I have become extremely close. The son of the infamous Captain Hook came to Auradon with his two crew mates, Uma, daughter of Ursula the sea witch and Gil the son of Gaston. The first time I met the pirate, I was in my English literature class, he sat next to me and from that day we became a lot closer and very quickly after meeting became friends.
“So have you ever told him how you feel?” Jaydan asks, the son of princess Jasmin. “I’ve not, and I don’t plan on it” I reply standing up from my seat and rolling my eyes at my best friends question. “Why not! Y/n I’m sure he feels the same way, he act so different around you, he looks at you different to everyone else. I honestly thinks he like you y/n” Esmay adds, daughter of Esméralda. I chuckle and shake my head at her statement, “you my friend are obsessed with the idea of love” I reply to her. “What can I say, I’m a hopeless romantic” she says back, holing her hand out and leaning back I her seat. I sigh and place my hands onto my hips.
I stroll down the hallways of Auradon prep, cradling a stack of books in my arms and heading too my English Literature class. Upon my arrival into the classroom, I take my usual seat and get my books ready. Harry enters the room shortly after myself, he takes his seat next to me; he looks awful, dark circles around his eyes, messy hair, like he’d not slept for weeks. “Harry? Are you okay?” I asked concerned for the pirate. He looks up at me and smiles lightly, “mhum” he replies, looking half asleep. I place a hand on his forearm, “how long has it been since you’ve slept?” I asked, worry probably clear on my face. “Two days ago” harry replies with a yawn. I look at him wide eyed. Class began and I turned to face the front. What was happening with harry, I kept going over it in my head, not giving my full attention to what the teacher was talking about.
As the lessons ended, I gathered my books and tossed my bag over my shoulder and headed out the door. I jogged up to harry and grabbed his arm, “hey, why haven’t you been sleeping? Do you want to go for a chat?” I asked him, the dark haired boy nodded in response, I nodded back and began making my way outside to the courtyard.
I take a seat on a picnic bench near a tall willow tree in the courtyard, harry sits in front of me. “Right, why haven’t you been sleeping, is there something on you mind?” I ask him, looking deeply into his beautiful blue eyes, he’s so intriguing, and I feel like I just want to know everything about him. The pirate sighs deeply, shaking his head slightly and placing a ring covered hand on top of mine which is placed on the table. “I’m failing” he begins, “I’m failing every single fucking one of my classed” he adds clearly frustrated and exhausted. “Y/n, they’ve told me that if I don’t pick up my grades soon their going to send me back to the isle” he continues, his voice slightly braking as he reaches the end of the sentence. “That’s why I’m not sleeping, I’ve been studying nonstop, but I just don’t get it. I don’t understand any of it! And I’m fucking scared y/n” he looks up at me, his eyes glazing over, “I-I can’t go back there” he looks down into his lap again shaking his head. I’m shocked, I place my other hand on top of the hand he has placed on mine. “hey, hey, look at me” I start, he looks up, eyes red, sweet boy, he looks exhausted, drained, the usual cheekiness and life to him is nowhere to be seen. “I’m going to help you okay, I’m going to help you study, help you to understand. I won’t let you go back okay, I won’t let you.” I began feeling emotional myself. “I’m going to come over to your dorm tonight at six, I’ll bring all my books and notes and we can study, and I’m going to make sure you sleep. And I’m dam well going to make sure that your staying here.” He nods in return. “Thank you” he whispers, smiling at me.
I arrive at Harry’s dorm at bang on six, carrying a large stack of books in my arms and notes filled my backpack. I gently kicked the door rather than nocking as I had no hands free to do so. The door opens to reveal a still tired looking harry. “Hey” he said to me, “let me help you with these” he added taking the large stack of books off of be effortlessly. “Thank you” I replied and walked into the dorm as harry stepped out of the way of the door, closing it behind me. I look around the room, empty cans of energy drinks and empty coffee cups littered the place, I gasped lightly at the sight, my poor harry. “Gil’s staying with Carlos and Jay tonight so we’ve got the room to ourselves” he snapped me out of my thoughts, I nodded in return. “So where shall we start?” he asked, taking a seat by the window, “physics?” I suggested, harry responded with a nod, I pulled out all my physics notes and joined harry at his seat by the window.
I was awoken by the bright light of the sun shining through the window, but I wasn’t in my usual bed in my room, instead I was lay on the same seat me and harry had been studying last night. The pair of us must have fallen asleep together, the still peacefully sleeping pirate was underneath me, my head lay on his chest, one of his arms wrapped around my body, I hear is heart beat and his steady breathing. I smile, breathing in and taking in his scent. The boy stirs, one eye and then the other opens, squinting due to the light. Harry looks down at me and smiles, the boy chuckles slightly and I feel his chest move up and down, I smile in return. “Well, good morning” harry says. I sit up and giggle, “sorry, I-I didn’t mean to, stay over” I chuckle. Standing up and stretching. “It’s okay, to be honest, that was the best night sleep I’ve had in a long time.” Harry admits, blushing slightly. I smile and look to the ground. Harry stands and walks towards me “thank you” he adds.
I’d been helping harry with studying for two weeks now, and he’s been getting on very well. It’s the week of exams and Harry was starting to stress. “but-but, y/n, what if I get it all wrong, what of I go in there and my mind goes blank, w-what if…” harry panics as we stand outside of out English literature class before the test “hey, harry, it okay, it’s okay” I cut off harry and place my hands on his panicked cheeks. “You’ve worked so hard, we’ve gone over everything. You’ve been sleeping so much better. I promise you, you’re going to be absolutely fine” I look the pirate right in his ocean eyes and smile, trying to calm his nerves. He places and hand on one of my arms, closes his eyes and sighed, I stroked his cheek with my thumb and the pirate smiles the most precious smile. He pulls me into a warm, tight hug. “You’ll be okay” I whispered to him.
The day had come to find out what grades we’d got in our tests. I was sat on my bed reading when a loud and continues knock came from my door and pulled me from my concentration, I walked over to the door and opened it, a very smiley and very fidgety Harry Hook. “Hi!” I giggle with a smile. He waves an envelope around, and hops into my room. Harry hands me the white, half ripped open envelope and I take out letter inside, reading it. “You’ve passed every single class!” I cheer jumping in excitement and pride. I practically jump into Harrys arms and he picks me up and spins me “Harry! I’m proud of you, I knew you’d do it! I knew it!” I cheer. He puts me down and I smile brightly at him. “I couldn’t have done any of this without you, y/n” he returned the bright smile back to me, placing a soft hand gently on my cheek. “If I didn’t have you, I’d be back on the isle by now!” he adds, “thank you!”. I hold on to the arm connected to the hand he has places on my cheek. “You had it all in you harry, you don’t realise how smart you are! It was all you” I looked up at the handsome pirate, eyes locking in a deep gaze.
Harry slowly brings himself closer towards me, I feel his breath on my face, taking in all his facial features; his crystal blue eyes, chiselled cheek bones and jaw line, his lips. Before I knew it, harry pressed his lips against mine, I swiftly wrapped my arms around his neck as he wrapped his around my waist, slightly pulling me up to stand on my tip toes. His lips feel warm, comforting. He pulls away, resting his forehead on mine, looking deep into my eyes once again. “I-I like you, a lot, y/n” he stuttered. I smile “I like you too harry, a lot” I giggle in return. The widest smile appears on his face, two deep dimples emerging on his cheeks. He closes his eyes and sighs what seems to be a sigh of relief. “Be mine?” he asks, so calmly. “I already was” I giggle in return before he connects out lips, once again.

Love Finds A Way (sequel to See You Again) {A Harry Hook x Reader story}
Part 3
At 6 o'clock Hadley rushed her way from the  art room to Evie's dorm.  She was late to help with Chad. She busted into the room seeing Chad already standing on the pedestal, adorned with his royal blue and fake fur cape.
“I'm so sorry Evie! We ran late with art club.” She said as she dumped her books on the bed and went to stand by Evie who was pinning fake fur around the edge of the cape. “ What can I do?”
“ can you pin the rest of the fur around the bottom?” Evie smiled
“ Of course!” Hadley skipped to the table, said hi to Doug and grabbed a pin cushion.  She crouched down behind chad and started to pin.
Chad would not stop moving as he danced around on the pedestal.  Hadley began to grow frustrated as the pinning was taking longer than it should have.  Evie could tell her friend was getting upset and tried to get Chad to settle down.
“What about peacock feathers? Yeah I bet you know one is gonna have those at cotillion.” Chad exaggerated.
“Chad!” Evie gained his attention and he finally stood still long enough for Hadley to be able to stand up and finish pinning up the sides. “ When I look at you, all I can think of is… king!” Chad gasped and Hadley had to hide her snicker with the pins she was holding between her teeth.
“And fake fur.. fake fur says it all!”  Evie gestured to the cape.
“ Loud and clear!” Doug deadpanned causing Hadley to giggle harder.
Just as Hadley pinned the last inch of fur to the top of the cape Jay appeared in the door way calling for Chad.
“Why did Coach make him Capitan instead of me?” Chad questioned. “ I'm obviously better.” He paused before saying “ King Chad though. I do rather like that. You know who else would like that?”
“Who?” Hadley mumbled through the pins in her mouth.
“Audrey.” He choked.
“She would” Evie smiled.
He sniffled as Jay called for him again.
He hopped down off the pedestal and before he could get out of arm's reach, Hadley plucked the cape from his shoulders.
The three chuckled as Chad left with Jay.
“Someone is clearly having some trouble dealing with his break up with Audrey.” Hadley chucked as she sat down at the sewing machine to start attaching the fur.
“I've been doing the numbers and after we collect from all the girls for their gowns and Chad's cape…” Doug stopped typing and showed Evie the screen.  Her eyes widened.
“Hadley you need to see this!”
When Hadley saw the number on the screen she let out a short screech.
 “No wonder people work!”
“What are we going to do with all this money?” Evie looked to Hadley who shrugged.
“Well, I think in the next few years, you'll be able to afford that castle you always wanted.” Doug laughed.
“Just as long as it has a best friend wing!” Hadley laughed as she went back to sewing.
Just across the ocean on a small island a boy of seventeen clad in a red leather overcoat, white ripped up t-shirt, black pants, pirate hat and wielding a silver hook; strolled through the streets.  Some people ran as he neared them and others just watched and glared as he took something only to toss it to the side not a moment later.  Harry Hook, son of Capitan Hook, whistled as he made his way through the Isle, looting as he went.  He sauntered his way down the wooden planks of the worn out dock leading to Ursula's Fish and Chips.
He stopped outside as a girl in a tattered dress sat on the edge of the docs by the door fishing.  Using his hook he picked up a string of three dead fish glaring at the girl who shrunk away from his icy gaze.  Harry slammed the saloon doors open, making the crash loudly against the wall, and placed his sword in the 'sword check’ barrel.  As he made his way towards the back of the shop he threw the fish at a passing waitress who looked after him in disgust.  He threw a crew member out of his way as he jumped over the long table reserved only for Uma's crew.
Speaking of Uma, she came out of the back clad in a dirty apron and her pirate gear carrying a silver tray lined with “food”.  Harry flicked the small TV on behind the table as Uma dropped the tray in front of him.
Uma growled as the screen showed Mal being interviewed from that morning.
She picked up a pile of mush from Harry's tray and threw it at the TV.
“Poser” she sneered, shaking her hand of the mess.
“Traitor!” Harry yelled leaning against the table watching the screen.
When no one reacted, Uma grew agitated .
“Hello?!”
After that, everyone lining the long table threw something at the screen, some missing and causing Harry to duck away before it could hit his head.
“What I wouldn't give to wipe the smiles off their faces. You know what I mean?” Harry announced as he wiped sludge off the screen with his finger.
Uma turned to Gil, son of Gaston, the only person who hadn't thrown anything and glared at him.
“Gil!” He jumped when Uma yelled in his ear. “ You wanna quit choking down yolks and get with the program?!”
Gil swallowed his mouth full of food “ yeah. What they said.”
Uma huffed out a laugh “ that little traitor. Who left us in the dirt”
“Who turned her back on evil.” Harry added.
“ Who said you weren't big or bad enough to be in her gang.” Gill added getting more food from the serving window.
Both Harry and Uma stopped what they were doing to glare at the blonde haired boy.
The whole crew looked stunned as Gil brought up the reason for a long lasting feud between Mal and Uma.
“Back when we were kids.  Come on you guys remember, she called her shrimpy and the name just kind of…”
Uma held Harry back as he was about to lunge at Gil.
“Stuck.”
Uma rolled her eyes as Gil shrunk back and turned back to Harry.
“ That snooty little witch. Who grabbed everything she wanted and left me with nothing”
“ No. She left you that sand box and then she said that you could have the shrimp…”
“I'm gonna need you to stop talking!” Uma shouted slamming her fist on the table, interrupting Gil again.
“Look, we have her turf now.  They can stay in Bore-adon…” Harry pointed at the TV.
“Harry, that's her turf now! And I want it, too. We should not be getting her leftovers.” U a growled. “Son of Hook, Son of Gaston, and me, most of all, daughter of Ursula.  What's my name?”  Uma turned to Harry.
Harry pulled the hat off his head and kneeled down and whispered “Uma.”
“What's my name?” She turned to Gil.
He choked down the mouthful of food and mumbled “Uma?”
(Uma)
This is all hands on deck
Calling out to lost boys and girls
I'm gettin' tired of the disrespect
We won't stop 'til we rule the world
It's our time, we up next! (next, next)
Our sail's about to be set (set, set)
They ain't seen nothing yet!
Tell 'em who's in charge
So they don't forget
What's my name?
What's my name? (Uma)
Say it louder!
What's my name?
What's my name? (Uma)
Feel the power!
No one's gonna stop us
Soon the world will be ours
What's my name?
What's my name?
What's it! What's it!
Say it loud!
(Uuuuuuma, Uuuuuuma)
All eyes on me, let me see 'em
(Uuuuuuma, Uuuuuuma)
What's it! What's it!
Say it! Say it!
(Uma-ah-ah-ah!)
(Uma, Uma, la la Um-)
(Uma, Uma, la la Uma)

(Uma, Uma, la la Uma)
Uma!
I'm the queen of this town
I call the shots, you know who I am
I don't need to wear no fake crown
Stand up to me, you don't stand a chance
It's our time, we up next! (next, next)
My crew's as real as it gets (gets, gets)
The worst is now the best
And leaving us here
Will be their last regret
What's my name?
What's my name? (Uma)
Say it louder!
What's my name?
What's my name? (Uma)
Feel the power!
No one's gonna stop us
Soon the world will be ours
What's my name?
What's my name?
What's it! What's it!
Say it! Say it!
[Harry]
You know what they say
Bad girls have all the fun
Never learned how to count
Cause I'm number one
Ready here we come
We always get our way
It's a pirate's life, every single day (Hey!)
She's the captain, I'm the first mate
Enemies seasick can't see straight
Call 'em fish bait, throw 'em on a hook
Uma's so hot they get burned if they look
(Uma)
It's all eyes on me, let me see 'em
I see your eyes on me boys, hey!
You know what my name is
Say it, say it louder!
Hook me!
(Ha, ha!)
Ho! Woah!
Come on!
What's my name?
What's my name? (Uma)

(Uma, Uma, la la Uma)

(Uma, Uma, la la Uma)
Uma!
Uma stood up from her throne on the table.  As she walked across the table laughing with the rest of the crew, a large purple and black tentacle  snapped at them from the back of the restaurant causing them all to duck and scream.
“Shut your clams!” Ursula's voice sounded through the small space.
“Mom!”
“These dishes ain't gonna wash themselves.” Ursula ignored her daughter and retreated the long tentacle back.
“It's fine. It's fine.  Because when I get my chance to rain down the evil on Auradon, I will take it!  They're gonna forget that girl. And remember the name…”
“Shrimpy!” Gil shouted and slammed his fists on the table.
Uma looked to Harry who nodded his head and escorted Gil from the shop.
When Harry walked back in the TV was still running, showing Mal from that morning, only now there was a girl blocking Mal from the camera.  Harry stopped and let a long breath out as he stared at Hadley, her hair on fire like the rest of her.
“Miss you everyday, haddie”
He shut the TV off and went to resume his rounds around the isle.
Summary: You would think that six months in Auradon would do any villain kid good.  Well, not Hadley.  After the events of the Coronation, Hadley's mood took a downward spiral; and for one reason, guilt.  She'd broken a promise and left her best friend on the Isle of the Lost.  How will she handle seeing him again when certain circumstances bring her back to the Isle? Will she finally tell him what she really feels?
Disclaimer: I do not own any characters in Descendants.  Hadley and the plot between her and Harry are mine.

Huma moodboard - proposal (Huma's Happily Ever After 2/4)
When, after almost a year of living together, Harry finally decided to pop the question to Uma, basically everyone got involved. And, to these days, they all still wonder how they managed to organize everything and keep the secret from a clueless Uma.
Jay, Carlos and Ben, with the help of Jane, took care of setting up the location for the date. Harry wanted it to be by the beach, their favorite place and the place where everything started, where they kissed for the first time.
Lonnie and Audrey took care of the dinner. Harry tried to help but ended up burning the lobster, so he got kicked out of the kitchen.
Dizzy handmade the ring. She and Harry spent entire afternoons working on the perfect model. He wanted it to be fancy and elegant, but still something that screamed "this is made for Uma" . The choice of using a sapphire of the same color of her hair was almost obvious.
Celia had a really peculiar job: she had to go through Uma's stuff in Ursula's house to find a picture of Harry and Uma that they took years ago. It was a very important part of the speech Harry had in mind for his proposal.
Mal and Evie's job was probably one of the hardest: have Uma wear a fancy dress to a "casual date" with her boyfriend. Evie thought it would look perfect with Harry's more edgy style in the engagement pictures.
Gil's job was either the most useless one or the most useful: he provided himself and his friends with the perfect hiding spot to witness the whole thing without getting caught. Harry kind of got angry when he found out what his best friend was doing, but in the end he let him do it.
Dinner went fine, just like any other normal date, then Harry pulled out of his jacket a little box wrapped in teal paper.
"What's this for?" Uma asked, surprised. It's wasn't her birthday nor their anniversary, so she was pretty confused.
"Just open it" Harry said, with a smile.
Inside the box there was a framed picture. It was Harry and Uma, in their old pirate clothes. They were about sixteen or seventeen. They were looking away from the camera and it seemed like they were talking to someone else. He had an arm around her shoulder and it didn't show in the picture, but she had an arm around his waist.
"Remember this?" Harry asked.
Uma smiled and nodded. "Of course" she said. "It's from when we found that instant camera in the garbage and wanted to test if it still worked. We took one picture of Gil by accident, then we were preparing to take one as a crew but Desiree took a picture of us without telling us. And it was the last one, so no crew picture" she recalled.
"We had no idea she was taking a picture of us, we were acting so natural. We wouldn't be posing like that if we knew we had a camera on us" Harry pointed out.
"That's true" Uma agreed.
"We were already in love. Even if we didn't know it yet, because we had no idea what love was. We used to touch each other and be around each other all the time, and it was weird for two Isle kids to be so touchy but it just felt natural with you."
"We're still those kids. Only older, wiser. Less angry, happier."
Harry took a deep breath.
"Yes, we are. We will always be. But back then I would have never imagined that one day I would go on dates with my captain, or walk around holding her hand or - for God's sake - living with her and decorate for fall and Christmas. I thought it was something Auradon kids did because their life was so easy that they could afford to complicate it with all this love nonsense. Then that day at the Bay I realized that it wasn't complicated. With you, nothing is complicated. Kissing you in front of everybody isn't complicated. Having a picture of us pinned on our fridge isn't complicated. Love isn't hard with you. I love you, Uma. You're the only girl I've ever loved and the only one I'll ever love. And I want you in my life forever."
He tried not to talk too fast and not to make it sound like he had prepared it. And it was surprisingly easy, because the words came from his heart. He had been thinking about his speech for so long now that saying the actual word out loud wasn't hard at all. He put his hand in his pocket again and pulled out a blue velvet box and opened it, showing the ring to Uma.
"Will you marry me?" he asked.
Uma smiled. She knew something was off when Evie basically forced her to look nice for a random date. She was sure that their friends were somewhere behind the bushes ready to stick cameras at their noses.
"Of course I do" she answered. "And bear in mind that all of this is a formality and an excuse to have a fancy party, because I was gonna spend the rest of my life with you anyways, because I love you more than anyone else."
(And then, you know, the rest of the group jumped out of the bushes and ruined the romantic atmosphere. Gil was yelling "Calling it for best man", as if it was a race.)

The Pirate’s Princess
Pairing: Harry Hook x reader part 2
Soulmate Au
Synopsis: The people of Auradon all have Soulmates. (Y/N) met her’s months ago on the Isle of the lost while trying to save Ben and bring Mal back. (Y/N) was forced to leave Harry on the Isle. Months have passed and (Y/N)’s soulmate makes a surprise return to her life.
Word count: 4067 (I genuinely thought it was longer)
Warnings: DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVEN’T SEEN DESCENDANTS 3, I spoil the entire plot of the movie. More swear words than part one.
Author’s note: It’s like 4 in the morning, so there’s a good chance I have spelling errors. Also I love Ben and Mal, but this story definitely makes it seem like I don’t, whoops.
Tumblr media
Part 1
Ben proposed to Mal. Right in the middle of the school grounds, in front of everyone, he sang a remix of did I mention. The song he created when Mal spelled him almost a year ago. The worst part was that he didn’t tell me, his own sister, that he was doing this. Not to be rude or anything, but she just ran away to the Isle in fear of her future. Now all of a sudden she wants to marry my brother?
“Congrats sis,” I put on a fake smile as she walks up to me.
“Thanks!” she pulls me into a tight hug before turning to Evie. “Did you know about this?”
“Of course!” the blue haired girl smiles. Wow, thanks Ben. It seems like everyone knew but his own twin sister, I thought we were close.
I sigh as I look down at my sad little compass, having no contact with Harry is killing me. What if he got tired of waiting for me and moved on to some Isle girl? What if he really is evil and was just playing with my heart when I met him? Ben’s the king, he could bring Harry over, but he won’t. One of the VK’s could have chosen him to come over, but with their past they definitely would have never picked them. They all know how much I’m hurting, they all know he’s meant for me, and yet none of them seem to care.
I look over at mom and dad, who are hugging each other and smiling at the golden boy. Their sweet baby with the giant heart that is so easily forgiven. They never once asked me about my soulmate, but they always asked Ben about his when his compass appeared. He was destined to be the king, and I was destined to live in the shadows. At least as much of the shadows as you can when your a princess. Taking a deep breath, I walk away from the group and to the privacy of the ocean. No one bothers me when I sit on the shore, something I’ve been doing every day since we got back, as I stare out at the horrid Isle that holds my soulmate captive.
Normally wherever Ben goes, I follow, some sort of diplomatic thing. Shows great honor, plus I was always the sibling to remember statistics and contributions made by the Princes and Princesses we were meeting with. Ben was always the charmer. But picking up the new kids from the Isle is where Ben drew the line apparently. I’m not allowed to go with, apparently I’m dangerous now. Ben and I used to be so close, inseparable, now he’s keeping secrets and keeping me away from my soulmate. There’s an ache in my chest, brought on by the separation from Harry, but worsened by my brother’s actions.
-
Jane isn’t one of my best friends, but we’re still pretty close and have been our whole lives. So of course I was invited to her birthday party, Carlos and I are on cake duty. He and I had agreed to meet at Evie’s cottage/filler castle and head to the party together. I dropped the cake off there last night.
“Okay, who ate Jane’s cake?” I hear Carlos shout as I enter the cottage.
“What happened?” I ask as I walk into the kitchen. Before he can respond, there’s a green flash and a wicked flash that came from the back patio. “Audrey?” I ask in confusion, I can recognize her laugh anywhere.
I walk out the door behind Jay, who stops abruptly and I run right into his back. I look over his shoulder and see Mal old and bent over. I gasp and my eyes widen, Audrey did this? How?
“Audrey has my mother’s scepter,” Mal says. “We need to get Hades’s ember, it’s the only thing strong enough to overpower the scepters powers.”
“I’m going with you guys,” I step out from behind Jay.
“No you aren’t” Mal slowly turns to look at me.
“And who’s going to stop me? You?” I laugh. “I’d love to see you try. I’m just trying to help you guys. Mal, you and Ben are already leaving me out of things ever since we found out Harry is my soulmate. I’m sick of it! It’s frustrating and belittling. I’m going with you, whether you like it or not.”
“There’s strength in numbers,” Evie agrees.
“You and Ben have been hurting her,” Carlos frowns.
“It’s kind of obvious,” Jay adds.
“Whatever,” Mal rolls her eyes.
“You can ride with me,” Jay smiles before walking back inside.
-
“This is so cool,” I breathe, as we walk into Dr. Facilier's Voodoo Arcade. Celia gives me a confused look. “We don’t really have arcade’s in Auradon, it’s more about courtly duty.”
As Celia asks her father for the key to Hades’s cave, I wander over to the tv with Carlos. He puts a coin into the top and the news from Auradon starts to play. The reporter is talking about how the sleeping curse is spreading, and that even though it’s rumored to be Audrey, it must be a villain doing it. I frown at his generalization that everyone from the Isle has to be bad. A magic barrier doesn’t magically make people evil or good depending on which side they’re on. We get the key and quickly dash out of the arcade and back to the bikes. Sitting atop the bikes are pirates, Harry’s sitting on Jay’s. I bite my bottom lip as I smile at my pirate.
“Get off my bike Hook,” Jay frowns.
“You shouldn’t have had my girl clinging onto you then,” Harry winks at me. My breath catches in my throat as I study is face. His hair is parted slightly different, and the eyeliner is thicker. To top it all off he’s in a new outfit; he has the same ripped white shirt, but he has a new red vest that’s so dark it almost looks black, and he has no pirate hat in sight. He’s even more handsome than I remember. With one last smirk to me, he’s driving off with his buddies.
Jay and the rest go to follow him to get the bikes back, but Mal stops Celia and me. “You two are coming with me.” I roll my eyes, but obediently follow my future Queen.
-
“I was a God!” Hades bellows. “I don’t belong here!”
“If it makes you feel any better, I never thought you should have been imprisoned on the Isle,” I speak up for the first time. “You’re stronger and have more power than and King or Queen could have.”
“I like this one,” Hades smiles at Mal, before turning to me. “I like you.”
“Dad,” Mal huffs. “Enough. We need the ember.”
I sigh, causing everyone to look at me with raised eyebrows. “The daughter of Maleficent and Hades, two of the most feared individuals, was allowed to come over to Auradon. I just want to brink over Captain Hook’s son, but no.”
“Now is not the time for that (Y/N),” Mal furrows her brows.
“Then when is it time?” I laugh humorlessly. “Because you and Ben have been avoiding this discussion at all costs.”
Mal frowns, but ultimately ignores me, grabbing the ember before heading to leave. I smile at Hades before following her out.
We meet up with the other’s, and walk out of the barrier. Just as it’s closing two bodies jump through. Two bodies that belong to Harry and Gil.
“Princess,” Harry smiles at me before picking me up and spinning me around.
“I missed you,” I whisper, running my pointer finger over his jawline. Gil high fives me after I reluctantly pull away from Harry.
“Did you miss me?” Uma asks from the water.
“Uma!” Harry, Gil and I cry out at once. Uma caught the Ember that Harry had almost knocked into the water when I was greeting Gil.
Uma and Mal argue about the Ember, and how it can’t get wet. Uma explains that she’s been trying to find a way for the kids to get off the Isle. Uma eventually turns back into a person and hugs Harry and Gil, before pulling me into a side hug as well. As Mal and Uma continue to argue, I stand between Harry and Uma, lacing the fingers on my left hand with Harry’s right.
-
We head to my castle to hopefully find Ben, but the only thing we find claw scratches on the wall. As we walk further into the castle, Harry subtly guides me behind him. I smile at his protectiveness, so he didn’t move on with some Isle girl.
We walk through the castle before eventually going into the hall of knights. Metal knight outfits line the walls. As Uma and Mal bicker for the hundredth time today, Harry and I notice one of the knights moving. This time there’s no subtlety in his actions, he fully pushes me behind him.
“Guys,” Harry tries to get their attention, which doesn’t work.
“Shut up!” I raise my voice at them for the first time, they all turn to look at me confused.
“Look at the knight,” Harry points out. Everyone looks at it and Audrey’s voice comes through commanding the armor to fight us. Everyone quickly grabs swords as the knights surround us, I stick with the pirates while the VK’s stick together, in a way it’s showing the separation in the groups, and which one I’m ultimately loyal to.
“I’ve got a strategy, you take the left,” Mal says to Uma, before whispering to the VK’s. “The rest of you can follow me.”
“Uh-uh,” Uma glares at her.
“This is my crew,” Mal argues.
“Well this is my squad,” Uma counters.
“This is my turf,” Mal argues further.
“Oh my gosh,” Evie complains. “Look guys, we have bigger fish to fry, put your differences aside. Because right now we’re on the same side.”
“You can go back to arguing later, this isn’t a joke,” I complain from Harry’s side.
The fight rages on and Uma and Mal work together to beat the knights. After they used their combined powers to stun them, Mal uses a spell to get them to copy our moves. Everyone starts dancing around to distract them, while I just stare with a raised eyebrow. The safety of Auradon and its people is in the hands of a group of dancing teenagers?
When the dancing somehow defeats the knights, everyone starts to celebrate, I of course am being hugged by Harry, but Uma and Mal almost high five. That is until they realize what they’re doing, and walk away from each other and stand on opposite sides of the room.
“We were a team, we worked together.” Evie tries to get the two sides to get along. “Uma? Mal? (Y/N), c’mon.”
“Yeah no,” I grunt along with Uma and Mal.
“Let’s try a little ice breaker,” Evie gets all excited. I give her props for staying optimistic through all of this. “I’ll start with Harry.”
“Ye really don’t have to,” he wraps his arm around my waist and pulls me in tight.
“I like your accent,” Evie continues anyway. “And you and (Y/N) are really cute together.” Harry just stares at her, as I send her a little smile.
-
I get sick of their bickering on where to search next, and head out alone to the place I know she would go to. Fairy cottage. After a long walk I finally end up there, and I can hear her throwing things and Chad whimpering. Will she just give into the soulmate bound already? I know she isn’t happy it’s him, but he’s devoted to her, and she could honestly do worse.
“Audrey?” I shout through the door. “Let me in.”
The door opens to Audrey’s grinning face. “ How cute, you decided to come here and plead for your safety.”
“Hi (Y/N),” Chad dopily smiles at me.
“Shut it Chad,” Audrey snaps.
“Actually, I came here to talk,” I frown. “Why are you doing this?”
“Why am I doing this?” she laughs humorlessly as she rolls her eyes. “Because I lost everything! I lost Ben! I lost my spot as Queen! And I lost you! But Mal got everything I lost. If everyone wants a villain, I’ll give them one.”
“Audrey, you never lost me,” my frown deepens. “You have always been, and will always be my best friend.”
“You stayed my friend when they first came here, but you changed after the cotillion,” she deadpans.
“A lot happened on the Isle that you don’t know about,” I defend. “Audrey, I’m mad at Ben and Mal too, but I’m not attacking everyone because of it.”
“And what could possibly have you so mad at your perfect little Ben?” she asks.
“I met my soulmate on the Isle,” I sigh. “He’s friends with Uma, and he was actually the one to kidnap Ben when we were there. Ben refuses to let Harry come over and blows me off whenever I want to talk about it.”
“Is he here now?” Audrey asks, sounding like her real self for the first time.
“Yeah, he’s the one in the red vest with the eyeliner,” I grin at her. “It’s a little frustrating, ya know. Mal tried to steal the wand for her mom, but she gets stay. Harry just wanted off the Isle and he gets treated like he’s some big criminal.”
Audrey’s eyes snap to me, studying my face. “You’re tricking me!” she exclaims. “What has gotten into you?” I frown.
“Where are they?” she screams running from window to window. “You’re just trying to distract me until they can get here and stop me! Well that’s not gonna happen!”
Audrey uses the scepter and slams both Chad and me into a closet, before locking it behind us. “Audrey, I’m not tricking you,” I yell through the door.
“Of course you were! You wouldn’t dare speak ill of your king or Queen,” and with that, the door to the cottage slammed shut behind her, Leaving me locked in a closet with a whimpering Chad.
-
I don’t know how much time has passed, but I think I’m going crazy. It sounds like there are voices coming from outside the cottage. Chad finally just shut up, but thinking Audrey returned, sent him into another whimpering fest. Soon the door to the closet is opened to reveal Ben, who suddenly has facial hair and pointy teeth. Chad whimpers again, and curls tightly into my side, fearing that he’ll get more glass bowls thrown at him.
“Chad get off me,” I groan.
“Yeah mate,” Harry’s voice is low and threatening. “Get off my girl.”
As soon as Chad comes to his senses and gets off of me, Harry is pulling me up and holding me tightly to his side. He glares at Chad as he spins his hook around, almost daring him to look my way again. I lean into his side and place my right hand on his chest, almost instantly he starts to relax. Everything about being in his arms feels like safety and home, and I can’t keep the large grin off my face as he calls me his girl.
Chad runs from the house screaming that he’s free, and the rest of us set off to find Audrey.
“I want to know how you convinced them to help you,” Ben says to Mal.
“She promised that all of the kids that wanted to get off the Isle could,” Uma smiles.
“Mal?” Ben frowns.
“What’s going on?” I match my brother’s frown.
“I lied to you,” Mal stops walking and looks at all of us. “The kids won’t be coming off the Isle.”
“What do you mean?” Jay asks.
“The programs been shut down. And the barrier will be closed for good,” I strangled gasp escapes my lips.
Everyone starts talking at once, until Mal cuts in. “I did it for us,” she defends to the VK’s. “For the life we have here.”
As Mal and Evie argue, Harry turns to Ben. “You’re probably gonna throw us all back inside of it,” I laugh and shake my head when Ben doesn't deny it.
“This is bullshit,” I laugh, grabbing everyone’s attention.
“Don’t do this,” Harry frowns at me. “He’s still you’re brother, and you’ll regret this.”
“No, he needs to hear this,” I look Ben directly in the eye. “It’s bullshit. You have no idea how happy I was, how proud I was of you, when you took my idea from when we were kids and made it a reality. You bringing these eight kids over is quite possibly the only good decision you’ve made recently. You’ve kicked me out of important meetings, left me out of the loop on all decisions you’ve made. It’s bullshit Ben, these kids have done nothing! And yet you’re leaving them on a miserable island to rot, when they’ve done nothing wrong. Uma, Harry, and Gil are risking their lives to save Auradon, and yet when everything’s magically fixed, they’ll be sent back. Audrey is my best friend, but we both know she’ll just get a slap on the wrist and everything will be forgiven. She won’t face punishment, and yet innocent kids do. It’s bullshit Ben, you knew before we were even off the Isle that Harry was my soulmate, and you’ve done nothing,” by now tears, both angry and hurt, are pricking the corners of my eyes. “You were content to sit on a big fancy throne with Mal at your side, and watch me be alone. You lost your soulmate for a day and you still complain about how painful that was. I haven’t seen mine in months, because you won’t bring him over, none of you will. It hurts Ben. You hurt Audrey, proposing to Mal in front of her. You may not be her soulmate, but she loved you. You both planned that she would be your Queen. And you don’t know, or care, about how painful that proposal was for me Ben. You told Evie that you were going to propose, but you didn’t even tell your own sister. But on top of that, I bet it didn’t even cross your mind how much it would hurt me to see you get your happy ending with Mal. You proposed to her right in front of me, knowing damn well that I would probably never get that moment, or any, with Harry. You never planned on bringing any of the pirates over after Uma refused to help. But I can’t tell if it was because of your encounter with them, or because of Mal’s past with them. Either way, it’s bullshit. We used to be so close Ben, but now I’m honestly embarrassed to be your sister.”
Harry pulls me into his chest, as he runs his hand through my hair. Before Ben can react, Celia grabs the ember from Mal, and throws it into a birdbath.
“No!” Mal screams.
“Bummer,” Uma deadpans. Harry and I follow her as she walks away.
“(Y/N) wait!” Ben calls after us.
“No Ben, I’m done with your lies. When this is over and you send the three of them back, I’ll be going with them. I won’t respect or listen to a king who has so little respect for his own people. Like it or not, the people on the Isle are your people too. And just like Dad, you don’t care about them.”
-
Everything’s over now. Audrey was taken down by Mal, and brought back from the brink of death by Hades. The pirates went back over to the Isle, Harry wouldn’t let me go with. Said I deserved better than the life he could give me on the Isle. What he doesn’t realize is that any life with him would be perfect. And just like I predicted, Audrey got away with no punishment, everyone’s acting like it never happened. Now here I am, standing up on a balcony with Ben, Mal, and my parents for their engagement party. None of us have really talked since I got mad at them, but they needed to hear it.
“I can’t do it,” Mal says after she’s called the future Queen. Everyone gasps, but I just roll my eyes. She goes on about how the people on the Isle are our people as well and they need to take care of them, hmmm sounds familiar. She even managed to fit it in that Hades is her dad, earning more gasps from the people.
Ben takes over the speech, “Mal’s right. We have been neglecting them, something (Y/N) has been trying to tell me since we were kids. Not only have I been a bad king to those on the Isle, but a bad brother to (Y/N). I’ve been keeping the truth from her, and knowingly hurting her. She was right when she told me that I didn’t seem to care about how she felt. I do care, but I’ve been purposely keeping her and her soulmate apart,” the crowd gasps. “As we brought in a new group of kids from the Isle, I made sure her soulmate stayed on the other side of the barrier. I didn’t care if he was different around her, better even, I let my own feelings for him cloud my judgement. I didn’t stop to think about how much she must be hurting. And I’m sorry (Y/N), for everything. I just want to be someone that your proud to call your brother.”
“Ben,” I give him a small smile. “It takes a lot of guts to say that in front of everyone, but I’m still hurt. And there are still so many kids on the isle that don’t deserve to be.”
“That’s why we need to bring the barrier down, unite Auradon and the Isle,” Mal grins. That’s definitely not something I would advocate, yes I want the kids off, and yes I don’t think Hades should be there since he’s a God. But some really bad people are on the Isle, and that could cause more chaos and trouble for Auradon.
Ultimately, Ben uses the well I’m king card to shut our parents up and let them do what they want. Fairy Godmother, shockingly, agrees wholeheartedly that the barrier should be brought down. So Mal uses the wand and a bridge connects the Isle to Auradon. We all rush down to greet the kids walking across the bridge. I smile as I see Harry and Uma leading the group.
I run and jump into Harry’s arms, wrapping my legs around his waist with little care that I’m currently in a dress. Harry laughs as he holds on tightly. “I’m never leaving ye again,” he promises.
Instead of verbally responding, I grab his face and pull him in for a kiss. It was slow and sweet, but conveyed all of our emotions. He sets me down so he can weave his hand through my hair while his hooked hand rests dangerously close to my butt. For the first time since we met, I don’t have to fear Harry being ripped away from me. I’m finally home.
“You look ravishing,” Harry lightly tugs the bottom of my red dress to bring me closer.
“I wish I could say the same about you,” I giggle softly as I play with his collar. “What’s up with the ruffles?”
“Isn’t this what ye royals wear?” he grins. “I was just practin’ for our future.”
“I like the sound of that,” I slide my arms behind his neck and bite my lower lip.
“Well get used to it, cause I’m not goin’ anywhere,” he leans in gives me a slow passionate kiss.
Behind us Jay and Gil are making plans to travel Auradon and see some of it’s spectacular sights. “They make really cute friends,” I smile over at the pair.
“It’s more than that love,” my brows furrow in confusion. “Their soulmates, Jay always denied it and because of that no one believed Gil. Thought he was just bein’ stupid.”
“Well I think they’re cute together. Now that Jay got over himself.”
“But not as cute as us,” Harry protests.
“Never,” I giggle.

Dog Eat Dog
Carlos can’t afford to look out for anyone but himself.
Warnings: kidnapping, violence, blood
Carlos hunched in the alley and stuffed the bacon into his mouth. The taste of grease, char, and fat exploded on his tongue and filled his mouth with saliva. What he wouldn’t give to eat meat every day. He licked his fingers and wiped them on his shorts.
Cackling laughter echoed somewhere along the alley, quiet and mad.
Carlos licked his greasy lips and hobbled out of the alley. He should probably find Mal. His collected tribute wasn’t enough, but it’d been a slow month. Maybe she’d overlook his measly contribution to pound some other poor sap.
His ankle panged as he made his way to Mal’s hideout. He grimaced, one hand out to steady himself against the wall. Hopefully it was just a sprain. He’d have to have Evie take a look. If she wasn’t too preoccupied with groveling at Mal’s feet.
The elevator cranked its way down and he stumbled inside.
Voices grew in volume as he ascended. Jay, Evie, and Mal’s voices made up the hushed clamor. Carlos’s heart sank. He must be last. Great. Nothing to distract from his pitiful tributary.
He braced himself as the elevator stopped.
“Carlos!” Jay’s eyes lit up. “Get in here, you dog.”
Carlos limped inside, frowning at the semi-darkness that shrouded his gang’s faces. “Uh, guys? Somebody forget to pay the electric bill?” He joked, wincing.
Evie raised her brow, her hair artfully flipped over her shoulder. “Carlos. We have a guest.”
Carlos blinked. “We do?”
“We do,” Mal pronounced, chin raised. Her hands rested on her hips as she turned around, powerful in her black and purple leather. Eyes glinted green as she smirked. “I believe you’ve met Captain Hook’s idiot offspring?” She gestured with a gloved hand.
Carlos’s mouth dropped open.
Harry Hook, Uma’s right-hand man, sat propped against a pole. His head rested against his shoulder, his black-lined eyes smeared and closed. Blood dripped from his mangled brown curls down his face and neck and bloomed into red stains on his shirt. His legs laid strewn before him in a heap. Red and purple blossoms dotted his face and neck and the skin exposed on his chest under his torn shirt.
“Harry Hook?” Carlos looked frantically to his companions, who all met his incredulous look with varying degrees of smugness.
“Uma let him off his leash,” Jay all but purred, crossing his thick arms, “and he thought he could wander into our territory.”
Evie gave the pirate a pitiful look. “It’s just sad, really. No fashion sense, and no common sense.” She met Mal’s gaze and they shared nasty smiles.
“What are we going to do with him?” Carlos asked, lip curling as he leaned back.
“Kill him, trade him, hold him hostage – the possibilities are endless, Carlos.” Mal gave Carlos a condescending smirk.
“Uma would give anything to have him back,” Evie agreed, nodding. Her blue curls bounced.
“But what does Uma have that we don’t?” Jay drew himself up to his full height and squared his shoulders.
“Nothing,” Mal simped, eyes glinting in the dim light, “but it’d be fun to watch her dance.”
Evie laughed.
“C’mon, let’s figure out a ransom note.” Mal and Evie headed towards the table littered with broken pencils and ink bottles.
Jay bumped shoulders with Carlos before going to join them.
Carlos spared one more glance for the unconscious pirate. His gut twisted.
Harry gazed up at him through half-lidded, cloudy eyes. He winced as he drew in a breath.
It couldn’t be easy to breathe. Jay knew how to tie someone just loose enough to let them draw in short, shuddery breaths.
Carlos grimaced at the memory.
They’d kill Carlos if he loosened Harry’s bonds.
Harry gritted his teeth through another nasally huff.
“Don’t,” Carlos murmured to his shoes, then he joined the others at their work.

Evil Karma - Chapter 14
Tumblr media
Chapter 1 - Chapter 13
Word Count: 4,007
Summary: Now that the group has everything they need for the magic elixir, how will they react to giving the Isle of the Lost a little taste of magic?
Pairings: Harry x OC, Uma x OC, Harry x Uma x OC, platonic!Gil x OC, a little bit of platonic!Gil x Harry, past!OC x OC in a flashback scene
Rating: T
Warnings: Mild profanity, descriptive threats of murder, a flashback scene that kind of shines a light on how much of a dick Sofi’s dad was and how much she deserved better, also a little bit of sexual tension at the beginning but honestly not much
Tags: I honestly feel like people have stopped paying attention to this fic so I’m gonna stop with the tags for now but I’ll start them again if enough people ask.
Author’s Note: I am really sorry about the long pause, it’s been kind of hard writing for this fandom when the content for it has started to dwindle. I’m going to try my best to keep the Descendants fandom alive since I really love it but considering it’s been almost a year since the last movie came out, it’s going to be hard.
“How do we know the Doctor’s not going to flake out on us? He’s done it before.” Harry asked as he shifted into the sofa. The four of us, now permanently deciding to include Gil on our plan, had gone back to the room where the plan first became set in stone. I had sent out a sort of distress call to the Doctor himself telling him that the hairs were ready to be mixed into the elixir, which was incredibly hard without any magic, but somewhat possible nonetheless. I looked over to Harry and leaned my head on his shoulder as a small, bored yawn escaped my lips.
“He won’t flake on me. Dr Facilier has worked with my family before. He’s well aware of how powerful my father was; and, if I am anything like my father, he’ll know I’m not a force to mess with either. Unfortunately, my father and I have more in common than I’d like to admit.” I ran a thin finger through his black, matted locks as the four of us sat and waited not so patiently for the doctor to arrive. Noticing my physical affection towards Harry, Uma moved closer next to me and leaned in to whisper to me.
“You know, you’ve been latching onto Harry a lot today, you two didn’t play without me, did you?” Due to our vicinity, both Harry and I heard her words. A small shiver ran up my spine as her voice sent warm air across my skin.
“Of course not, Captain. If a game is what you want, though, I’m sure the two of us would be happy to oblige.” Harry smirked, interjecting the tension between Uma and I. The two looked as if their lips were about to lock when they were both blocked by a lock of blonde hair.
“Not to interrupt, guys, but I hear footsteps.” He was definitely interrupting. But, it was for good reason. Harry, Uma and I moved slightly farther apart as Harry quickly grabbed his hook and I readied my hand on my dagger, prepared in case it was some unwanted visitor walking through the door.
“Will you put your hook down, pirate boy? It’s just me. Sorry if I’m late, but I had a bit of a run in with one of Cruella’s goons.” My eyes quickly widened as I stood and ran towards him like a wild, hungry tiger.
“What the fuck, Doc! What did you tell them? You didn’t see Cruella, did you?” Before I could get close enough for the Doctor to feel the steam from my ears, Uma and Harry interjected the space between. Harry put an arm out to block Facilier from defending himself as Uma moved closer to me in an attempt to calm my anger.
“Relax, babygirl,” Uma calmly spoke, using the pet name that seemed to work on me like a magic spell every time. Yet it only worked when it slipped from her lips. “Cruella’s been indisposed since she saw Maleficent get turned into a lizard at Ben’s coronation. Jafar’s been hiding from the embarrassment of his son becoming a good kid and the Evil Queen...Well I don’t know what’s happened with her. Rumor has it she changed her name to Regina and drank a potion transporting her to some different dimension where Auradon doesn’t even exist. Wherever she is, she’s not here. None of them care about themselves anymore to worry about some little trinkets getting stolen.” With a deep inhale, I took a step back and watched as Uma turned toward the Doctor. She somehow seemed so confident, so professional, no matter the circumstances. I very rarely let somebody else dominate me both in and out of sensual situations. But with Uma, it was like disobeying her meant taking away every ounce of oxygen in my body. I needed her like a fish needs water. “I’m sure they were taken care of? Tell me, Doc, how’d you do it? Choke them until their faces turned blue? Slashed them across their necks and watched as their blood spewed like a fountain? Then again, I guess that would’ve messed up your clothes.”
“I left them unharmed.” Facilier replied after a slight hesitation. This must have been his first time meeting Uma. Otherwise he would’ve been prepared for her high-handed attitude and body language. “Getting my hands dirty would have perked some ears around the Isle. I assume you want this plan to remain secret until the time is right?” Uma nodded her head and turned around, leading the two of us back to the sofa we sat on before. She fixed her eyes on the black, still cauldron in front of us.
“You’d assume correctly. Now, do you have the ingredients or not?” Facilier stood still, looking through his large, black satchel for what we were hoping were the ingredients. Uma, however, was not going to accept silence as an answer. “Now, Doctor. We mustn't lurk in doorways...it’s rude.” She chuckled as she watched Facilier hesitantly walk into the room and towards the cauldron. Then, like a child tentatively unwrapping a present, he started to take the ingredients out of his satchel and placed them on a nearby rickety desk.
“I know you said enough for two gulps. But, I figured it’d be best to take everything instead of leaving some behind and risk getting caught. Should be enough for five elixirs. One for each of you kids...and an extra in case things go sideways.” It was laid out like a buffet. Eight dog bones, a large bowl of dust from Jafar’s stolen lamp,  and five apples with exactly one bite taken out of each. “How many hairs did you get?”
“Ten. The recipe called for five but...I may have gotten carried away. There’s something succulent about hearing his pain, especially since he deserves every single bit of it.” I stated, keeping my voice and face as blank as possible. Despite the Doctor knowing what Ben had done to the boys on Neverland, I refused to let him see me emotional or otherwise affected by it.
“Showing any kind of emotion, especially towards men, is weakness. The second a boy or man sees a tear fall down that wretched face of yours, they’ll know what I’ve known since the day you were born. You could never be a leader.” I heard my own father’s voice echo in my head. I couldn’t help but feel my surroundings grow fuzzy and mute as I only heard his voice. “If you can’t stand up to a measly wolf cub, how could you ever lead these boys in the case of battle?” His one remark to me when I came to him with bite marks and gruesome scratches. He’d sent me into the jungle to hunt for dinner. While walking back to camp with some fox meat, a couple of baby wolves had attacked me and stolen the meat. I came to my father looking for comfort, or at least some kind of potion that would heal the wounds. The only thing I was given was ridicule and mockery. In a way, he was right. The entire island was ransacked, murdered, ruthlessly slaughtered. I couldn’t save them. I can’t bring them back either. Maybe this wasn’t Ben’s fault, or even Mal’s. Maybe it was mine.
“Hey, kid. You still with us?” A dark hand waving in front of my face brought me back to reality. Uma, Harry and Gil had all sat on the sofa while I still stood, my eyes locked on the table of ingredients. “You having second thoughts?” I looked back up at him and quickly shook my head. Was I lying? A little. If I couldn’t help my boys back then, how am I going to help them now? They’re already gone, and there’s no magic in this entire realm that could bring them back. But, this far into the plan, I’m starting to realize that this plan isn’t just for me anymore. It may have started that way. I may have befriended Uma and Harry for the sake of numbers and people that share a common enemy. But, I know now that these people can have some serious potential if they had enough power. This elixir and the succession of this plan could give them that potential. “Alright then, let’s get this started! This elixir ain’t gonna make itself!”
One by one the ingredients slipped into the cauldron. The boiling water shifted colors as each bone was dunked, as each fingerful of dust was sprinkled in, as each apple slice was slowly dropped in. By the time nearly all the ingredients were mixed together, the bubbling water had changed from clear to a murky, dirty dark brown. Harry looked up in confusion, nearly disgusted by the color despite being surrounded by it. “Isn’t the elixir supposed to be gold? Or green? Or...something not so disgusting?”
“It’s because we haven’t put in the key ingredient.” Uma replied, everybody’s eyes shifting towards me. I took the vial out of my pocket and watched as the hairs glimmered gold.
“Wow, and people say Rapunzel has magic hair.” Gil chuckled, amazed by the sparkling shimmer inside the glass vial. As I go to open the vial, Gil interjects with his voice once more. “Wait, um...Doctor F?”
“Facilier, it’s Doctor Facilier.”
“You said there’d be enough of this potion thing for the four of us to drink it but..Harry and I don’t have magic. What’s going to happen to us?” Everyone paused where they stood. For once, Gil had actually made a good point. This was only my third time making this elixir, the past two times making them for some sick fairies who needed the extra push to fly again. I had never tested them on people not Neverland native, much less a person not born with or capable of magic.
“Well, if you really think about it...magic is basically taking your strongest traits and making them unstoppable. Even without my abilities, I’ve always had a good read on people, making it easy to manipulate their opinions and emotions. Uma’s never been able to use her mother’s magic, but she still feels better when she’s close to water. Don’t you, Captain?” Uma shrugged and nodded her head. “So, maybe you’ll be strong enough to lift the whole ship with just one arm. Imagine how cool that’d be.” Gil gasped and smiled, surely encaptured in that concept. I looked to the cork on the vial, then back at everyone else. “So, shall we?” Everyone nodded eagerly and I could hear a small cackle of excitement from Harry as I opened the cork and dropped the royal hairs in one by one. By the time all ten hairs were mixed in, the potion had turned a glimmery, sparkling gold just as we thought it would. Uma grabbed a ladle she had snatched from the Chip Shoppe’s kitchen and scooped enough to fill the glass vial to the top.
“So, who’s drinking first?” There was a small silence in the room. Whether it was from fear or from not wanting to sound too selfish, nobody vocally volunteered themselves to take the first sip of the elixir.
“You should, Uma. You are the Captain, after all.” Harry mumbled, a hint of his sincere admiration and affection peeking through a small smile. Uma looked to me, as if wanting my consent to be the first to indulge in this magic elixir.
“Go on, Captain. Don’t worry, if it tastes anything like the Neverland elixir, it should be easy to swallow.” I slowly took the empty ladle from her hand and placed it on the empty desk that once held the elixir’s ingredients. I held onto her empty hand with both of mine and let my fingers caress over her skin. After a deep inhalation, Uma chugged down the sparkling potion and swallowed it whole. A few seconds of silence and slight fear went by before Uma took in a quick gasp, gripping tighter onto my hand to keep herself balanced. I could see her eyes flash a bright, ocean blue for just a moment before returning to their near charcoal shade. Harry and Gil immediately stood up from the sofa and rushed to her side, ready to lift her up if she were to feel faint.
“Uma? Are you okay? What happened?” Harry asked, leaning in to make sure the look on her face wasn’t too pale or otherwise sickly. A second of silence scared everyone else in the room, but after she started to let out her infamously wicked and alluring snicker, we knew she was okay.
“I’ve never felt more exhilarated in my entire life! Nothing was happening at first and then, it felt like my entire body was this massive tidal wave crashing onto shore. And now, I feel like there’s something different going through me. Not blood or thoughts but, something more.” I smiled and helped Uma stand up fully, taking both her hands in mine.
“That’s how magic is supposed to feel. Here, I’ll pour the next one. Go ahead and sit down, you may feel a bit woozy if you stand too long.” As Gil led her down to the sofa, I took the ladle and scooped yet another vial full of the delectable potion. “Does anyone want the next one?” Again, there was silence. As I was about to take the second swig myself, I felt a strong hand take the vial out of mine. I looked up to see Gil holding the potion in his hand, eyeing it in a longing sort of way. “Go ahead, Gil. I promise we won’t let anything bad happen to you.” Gil took a quick nod, certain of our promise, and downed the potion in a single gulp.
This time, Harry and I waited more in excitement then in fear. Gil’s reaction wasn’t as huge as Uma’s but there definitely was one. One second, Gil was standing with the empty vial in his hand. The next he jumped high and shook away a bunch of energy coursing through his body, as if he had just taken his first shot in a long night of drinking. “Holy shit, that was awesome! You really think I could lift the ship, Sofi?”
“Easy there, Gil. Save the strength for tomorrow, okay?” I laughed as he started to roughhouse a bit with Harry. The two had a relatively short round of horseplay before Gil suddenly had Harry over his shoulder. Considering the two boys’ relatively similar weight and muscle mass, we never thought that was possible. Then, we had realized that my theory had turned out to be correct. Gil’s new spout of magic had brought a whole new meaning to him being ‘the muscle’ of the group.
“Okay, okay, okay, now I want some of this action. Pour it up, duckling!” Harry near shouted like an excited child on Christmas morning. I grabbed the ladle and poured a third portion of the elixir into the glass vial. With no hesitation, Harry took the vial and lifted it high as he poured the potion down his throat, letting the last drop linger on his tongue. He felt a rush immediately, but from what I could see, there was little to no physical change showing that he now had magic. He was potentially on a rush of adrenaline, meaning whether the elixir had given him magic or not, he definitely felt a physical rush of change. There was only one way to know for sure if the potion had worked on him.
“I guess it’s my turn.” I quietly huffed as I poured another portion of the elixir into the empty vial. A part of me was fearful of the outcome. I knew the potion would work correctly, but I had no idea the effect it would have on me. These past three months were the first time I had ever gone without using my magic. Three months of no magic after who knows how many years of near constant magic was wild enough. But taking all that magic back in at once? I was diving into the ocean without knowing whether or not I’d drown. But, if it would help my Uma take Mal down and claim the leadership she deserves, that’s a risk I’d be willing to take. I slowly tilted my head back and let the elixir slide down my tongue. The taste was oddly familiar. Tangy like a fresh orange with a hint of something herby and earthy. It tasted like home. As the elixir was wholly consumed, I laid the vial and ladle aside as I put my hands on the nearby desk for support in case of any sudden dizziness.
What I felt next was both euphoric and catastrophic. The thoughts of others didn’t slowly slip in through my ears. They rushed inside my brain, nearly knocking me out with their speed and intensity. I could feel my eyes burning with an emerald flame, something only the kids on Neverland had seen. By the time it was all over, I was electrified with the magic I had once called my home.
“Is she okay? She looks a little faint. Maybe I should check on her? Should I ask Uma to check on her?”
“Wow, that looked like a lot. I wonder if she felt everything I felt when I drank it. Or maybe she felt more since she’s used her magic before? Maybe Harry and I should check on her.”
“These damn crazy kids. I wouldn’t be doing all of this if those Auradon bastards didn’t kill my boy. But nobody messes with my kids. If they even lay a finger on Celia I’ll have all their heads.”
“Can you really curl your hair with your finger? I see Uma and Sofi do it all the time...maybe it’s just a girl thing.”
Their thoughts began to slow down enough for me to thoroughly listen to them. “You guys don’t need to check on me, I’m fine. I’m more than fine.” I stood up straight and wiped some dust off my shoulders before sitting next to Gil and Uma on the sofa. “Also, Gil, Uma and I don’t curl our hair with our fingers. Our hair is just naturally curly. If you wanna curl your hair so badly, I can give you a ride to Lady Tremaine’s.” Gil’s perked up, confused brow caused a small rise of laughs throughout the room. The thoughts in the room began to quiet down as I slowly gained control over my magic again, putting the minds of others in the background of my brain. As we all grew adjusted to the elixir and its effects, Facilier poured the final scoop of the elixir into the vial and corked it shut as he handed it to Uma.
“Keep this close with you. The elixir ain’t permanent. You may need this if those Auradon bastards come at you with something strong.” As he saw Uma slip it into her jacket pocket, he walked over to me and glared at me sincerely. “I don’t know what kind of second thoughts you may be having, but you’re going through with this. If not for me, then for Mateo. He would’ve wanted you to keep going.”
I thought back to the moment that I knew Mateo was going to be a really close friend. It was the same day I had gotten attacked by the wolf cub. I sat alone in my tent, attempting to dress my wounds with palm leaves and hold back the pained sobs when those attempts had failed. Suddenly, I heard the flap of my tent wave open. “I heard someone’s got some new battle scars..can I see them?” I kept my mouth shut and attempted to close him off, knowing that the second I said a word, tears would rush down my face. “I brought something from the med tent that may take the edge off. Do you want it?” I turned and nodded my head, still keeping quiet to keep too much ‘weakness’ from peeking through.
As Mateo dressed the wounds correctly and sprinkled on some healing pixie dust, the pain from the wounds began to subside excluding a small sting from the pixie dust. But the emotional pain, the ping in my chest from my own father telling me I could never be a leader, that’s what was hurting me the most. “Mateo...do you think I made a mistake?”
“Made a mistake? Doing what?”
“Choosing to age, to grow up. I thought it would help me become stronger, faster, smarter. But I don’t think it’s doing any of that. I couldn’t keep a wolf cub off of me!” A shred of my anger began to shine through as everything my father had said came rushing back.
“Well, to be fair, your hands were a little full with all of that fox meat. Pan probably should’ve sent someone out with you.” Mateo chuckled, attempting to lighten the mood as he always did.
“It’s not funny! I couldn’t fight off a wolf cub, my swordfighting is total shit, this new magic I’ve been developing lately is completely out of control...I can’t do anything! What if my dad is right? What if I’m just not fit to be a leader?” As Mateo dressed the last bite mark, he shifted closer to me and wrapped his arm around me, pulling me in for comfort.
“Okay, your swordfighting isn’t the best. And yeah, you’ve got some new powers that you don’t really know how to control yet. But, who threw a dagger so far and so well that it pushed an apple off of Reggie’s head and into a tree?”
“...I did.”
“And who taught Felix how to use the tidal waves to tell if a storm was coming?”
“...I did.”
“And who saved a Lost Boy’s life by catching an arrow that was heading straight for them with her bare hand?” That Lost Boy was him. My dad was angry and drunk and thought killing him would be a good way to piss off Facilier and get a good bloodbath going. But something in my gut clicked fast enough to move Mateo out of the way and catch the arrow to prevent it from hitting anybody else. It could’ve killed me, but I didn’t care.
“I did.”
“So you have some things you need to improve on. That’s fine. But do you know what you’re best at, Sofi? Your strongest skill is helping the other boys. Whether you’re keeping them happy, keeping them safe, or helping them grow in the areas that they need improvement. You never back down on an opportunity to help the Lost Boys. If that’s not a sign of a good leader, I don’t know what is.”
As my mind came back to the present day, I realized that I shouldn’t be having any sort of second thoughts about this plan. Succeeding in making Mal suffer and taking over Auradon would not only be giving the Lost Revenge crew the potential and inclusion they deserve, but it would be avenging the deaths of everyone I’ve ever cared about. It’d be another instance of me not backing down on an opportunity to help those I loved. This plan will prove that I am, in fact, a good leader. As I watched Facilier pack up his satchel and begin to leave the room, I stood and shouted towards him. “I’m going to make him proud, Doc. I promise.” At the sudden yell, Harry, Uma and Gil all stood to listen. “We were all brutally wronged by Auradon. Their system has been suppressing us, starving us, killing us for far too long! Tomorrow, we will take Auradon into our hands and give every single kid on this Isle the chance they deserve! If we have to spill some blood to do it...then let the blood spill. Rest up, everyone. Because tomorrow, we fight!”

Blood Poison   (part 2)
Part 1
Summary: Getting injured is never a welcome prospect, especially not on the Isle of the Lost where there is a high chance of infection. Uma will go to great lengths to save her first mate and discovers a use for her magic along the way.
Warning: Contains details of an injury, really mild and not graphic, but still be warned if that’s not your thing. Also has a description of a panic attack, though I tried to make it a read between the lines kind of thing.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Uma was a flurry of blue hair in her mother’s kitchen, darting about searching the different cupboards for supplies that she needed. There was no doubt that Cook thought she was out of her mind – which she was, so that was fine.
All in all, she made quick work of gathering things and was back out the door in five minutes, rushing across the wharf hoping that she wouldn’t drop anything.
Stumbling back into Harry’s room she kneels down and lets what she carries spill out on the floor. Then CJ is at her side helping her to stand things up to stop them rolling away.
“Have you done this before?” she asks standing up a flask of sea water.
Uma shakes her head, “I have no idea what I’m doing. I’m just going with it.”
“Going with what, if you don’t know what you’re doing?” Harriet furrows her brow, watching her.
“Like I said, it’s all in my subconscious” Uma reminds her.
“But why now?” Harriet presses, sitting down on the edge of the bed.
Uma swallows thickly. “I can’t lose him” she doesn’t explain more than that. Mostly because she’s not sure if she can.
Harriet doesn’t push any further than that, already aware of the strength of the bond between her brother and his Captain. “CJ help me sit him up” she moves along, instructing her sister to join her as she takes the cup of tea off of the windowsill.
At her sister’s instruction CJ moves from Uma’s side, leaving her alone on the floor to begin mixing her ingredients together. She lets her subconscious take over as her hands go about tearing up leaves of witch hazel and crushing them with sprigs of thyme with a mortar and pestle. Into it she adds sea water from the flask with no mind for the quantity she needs before her hand tips the other way and she places the flask down.
“What are the healing properties of sea water?” CJ asks from the edge of the bed. Uma had no idea that she’d been watching her.
“Anti-inflammatory” Uma says as she caps the flask. “But I think it’s more so to channel my magic from the sea.”
“Hmm” CJ makes a hum of fascination, seeming excited in the proceedings.
“What else do you need?” Harriet says, her voice flat. Clearly not sharing the same excitement that CJ has.
“A clean bandage” Uma states.
“CJ” Harriet appoints to which her sister says she’s “on it” before scurrying out the door.
“Gods I hope this works” Uma sighs and hangs her head when she’s sure CJ is out of earshot.
Harriet sighs as well. “If not, it won’t be for a lack of effort” she looks at Uma, who can see sincere appreciation in her eyes. “And if it doesn’t…” Harriet swallows thickly, “there’s always amputation.”
Uma hadn’t been aware that she was that close to crying but she swipes a hand under eye as a tear falls from it. “It won’t come to that… it can’t come to that.”
“I mean, Da would love it” Harriet smiles ironically through her own tears. “Finally be proud of Harry for something.”
“He would hate it though” Uma raises.
“He would” Harriet nods before quickly wiping away her tears as they hear CJ’s feet pounding back down the hallway. “Find any?” she asks as her sister steps into the room, her voice surprisingly clear despite crying.
CJ wrinkles her face at her, looking down at the bandage in her hand. “Dumb question.”
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Uma’s hands shake as she applies the formed paste to Harry’s arm. She’s used admiring the muscular structure of Harry’s arms as he lifts things and works around the ship but the arm resting on her lap doesn’t resemble what she knows. Underneath her hands his skin rages with fever and although it seems barbaric, she’s comforted by the warm of the skin against hers, knowing that his body is fighting the infection alongside her.
When she’s satisfied with the covering of paste, she holds out her hand for the bandage which Harriet gives to her. As she wraps the bandage around his arm, she begins reciting a language which she doesn’t know. Even though she speaks lowly the sound of her voice fills the room, blocking out the sound of waves rocking the ship beneath them.
As she speaks, she feels herself begin to sway in her chair, all her energy beginning to leave her body. She feels numb and though she doesn’t know it, Harriet places her hands on either side of her arms to steady her. Her eyes begin to fade in and out of focus before they close. With her eyes closed and her energy leaving her, she doesn’t remember finishing the spell.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
When Uma’s consciousness returns to her, she only sees the blankness behind her eyes. She feels the softness of a mattress beneath her and the weight of a blanket lying over her. Opening her eyes, it takes her a few moments to realise where she is, finding the door of Harry’s room cracked open.
Stretching her legs out she finds that her feet move without obstruction and she knows that Harriet would have tucked her in – CJ would have forgotten to take her boots off. Though she also finds the bed empty, her feet not connecting into Harry who she had thought would be behind her.
Rolling over, she finds him missing but the other half of the bed still warm from where he had left it recently. Pushing herself up she brushes her hair out of her face and then reaches down to grab her boots from the floor before strapping them on.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
The ship is quiet as she walks through the hallway towards the kitchen where she knows the rest of them will be, they always tend to hang out there because it is a place their father never goes. Stepping through the door she finds Harriet behind the bench and Harry at one of the stools with his back to her.
“How are ya, love?” Harriet spots her first, a motherly tone to her voice.
Still lacking energy Uma just smiles reassuringly at her before taking a seat next to Harry.
“How are you feeling?” she asks him, her voice sounding slightly faint.
“Can say we’ve both been better” he smiles at her.
“I didn’t almost die” Uma points out.
Harry hums questioningly, smirking at her. “Ettie wasn’t too sure about that one.”
“Gave me a right scare you did when you passed out” Harriet flashes her eyes at her.
Uma looks down at the bench sheepishly, she hadn’t meant for anyone to worry. Though before she can make some form of an apology Harriet speaks before her.
“Seeing as you’re up both up now, I need to get a few things done in the market. Uma you can stay the night here if you like” she offers, pushing herself back from where she had been leaning against the bench. “But you’re staying here” she commands Harry seriously, ruffling his hair just to annoy him.
He quickly scrambles to fix his hair, which doesn’t turn out too different, as Uma nods a goodbye to her as she walks out the door.
“She told me what you did” Harry says staring down at his hands, not meeting her eyes. “Thank you.”
His words sound like they are hard for him to get out, but not because he doesn’t mean them. It’s because his words could never describe just how much it means to him. He opens his mouth to continue but closes it, not knowing how to.
Uma reaches up and places her hand over his on the bench, silencing him, knowing exactly what he means. “I would do it a thousand times over for you.”
“You passed out, you put yourself at risk for me. I never wanted that” he says finally looking into her eyes.
“I never wanted to worry anyone” Uma tells him.
“Neither did I” Harry says quietly, struggling to stay looking at her.
“Did you know you were that sick?” she asks her tone gentle but full of inquisition. He shakes his head and Uma sees no lie in his eyes.
“It makes sense now looking back on it” he admits, “but in the moment I managed to convince myself that everything was fine: it was just all down to me being tired.”
“Everyone has the power of hindsight” Uma reminds him. “Harriet told me you were looking after it. You did everything you could.”
“But it wasn’t enough” he says, his voice quiet and defeated.
“It’s just bad luck, and you’d tell me the exact same thing if our positions were switched” she points out. “And you’re alive, aren’t you?”
“Only thanks to you.”
“Incorrect” Uma rejects. “There was still amputation.”
“Da would have loved that” Harry scoffs.
Uma smirks but refuses to acknowledge that Harriet had said the same thing. “But it didn’t come to that.”
“It didn’t” Harry agrees.
“Can I have a look at it?” Uma asks.
Harry obliges and turns his stool to face her, lifting his arm up onto the bench.
Uma tentatively unwraps the bandage revealing a clean cut across the skin. She can’t help but let her face fall a little. She’d hoped that the wound might have closed and she tells him as much.
He laughs pulling his arm away from her and she looks up at him confused. “What?”
“You saved me from death and it isn’t enough for you.”
“I could never do enough for you” she tells him without meaning to.
He smiles shaking his head at her, “you know that you already have.”

A Whole New World Prelude Pt 1
Here is the first part of A Whole New World Series! Enjoy!
My first Harry Hook x reader fic!
Key:
{Y/N} = Your Name
{L/N} = Last Name
{E/C} = Eye color
{H/C} = Hair Color
{H/L} = Hair Length
{S/C} = Skin Color
So I'm falling, but you're probably wondering how I got here…. Well.
{Flashback}
I was just walking down the street. You see I don't have many friends, and my family basically tossed me out of their lives when I started High School this year. But that's besides the point. It was a nice Saturday Morning and I was heading to the store to get some groceries and well I went from walking to falling.
{End Flashback}
Wait is that an ocean? Nononononono I can't swim!
"Help!!!!!" I screamed at the top of my lungs.
I curled up into a ball as I hit the water. I tried screaming for help again but I was slowly seeing darkness. Last thing I saw was a person.
(3rd person pov)
Harry Hook, feared pirate of the Isle, was stunned to watch a girl fall out of the sky, screaming, and into the water. But when he didn't see her come up, he tossed off his hat, hook, and coat and dove in after her.
A pirate had to know how to swim.
He caught the girl before she could meet Davy Jones, or even meet one of Tick Tock's kids. Wrapping his arm around her waist he pulled her up to the surface and swam to the shore.
He laid her on the beach, listening to her chest before he began a bit of cpr.
(1st person pov)
I woke up, coughing up water and sitting up straight, before bending over to get rid of the excess water in my lungs.
"Well Lass, glad ta see ya alive." A Scottish male voice stated.
I blinked and opened my eyes, looking up to see who I can assume is my savior. Oh my is he hot!
"......" I couldn't even talk, stunned by how freaking pretty this dude was, ocean blue eyes, staring at me expectingly.
"Well Lass, it be time for ya to come with me." He stated, helping me up and dragging me towards a pirate ship. Was this real?
He brought me on board and I watched as the crew circled me. I noticed the guy change, putting on a pirate hat and jacket, and grabbing a hook. Is he a younger version of Captain Hook?
"So Harry. You tellin me she just fell out of the sky?" A female voice stated, causing me to turn around.
A girl decked out in pirate gear and barnacles… is she related to Davy Jones? And his name is Harry?
"Aye! She just fell from the sky." Harry explained.
I raised my hand just enough to have the girl and Harry look at me questioningly.
"Hi. Um, a few things. Firstly my name is {y/n, l/n}. Secondly, where am I? And lastly, who are you guys?" I asked.
The two looked at each other and laughed.
"You really don't know? Well to answer yer questions. This is the Isle. And I'm Uma, Daughter of Ursula, this is Harry Hook son of Captain Hook, and the one to yer right is Gil, son of Gaston." Uma explained.
I covered my mouth as I laughed. "Someone slept with Ursula?? And Hook???? And Gaston???" I fell to the floor laughing my ass off.
Harry stomped over to me, grabbing my {h/l} {h/c}.
"Owww!!"
"Shut yer trap! Ye have no idea what our parents are like!" As Harry screams at you, you notice the scars on his right wrist and his neck.
"I'm sorry. I didn't have the best life growing up either." I explained as Harry released my hair.
"Yea well yer stuck with us now." Harry stated walking back to Uma.
"Looks like yer apart of my crew now. So get to scrubbin!" Uma exclaimed, a mop and bucket being thrown at me.
I frowned as the crew walked away, going back to their things. I frowned but began to mop. This was going to be a long day.
~20 minutes later~
I wiped the sweat off my forehead as I finished mopping. A hat was slapped on my head.
"Yer comin with me, {y/n}." Harry stated, looking a bit pissed, probably still at me.
"Where are we going?" I asked, fixing the small pirate's hat that was put on my head.
"Ta rob some places. Duh!" Harry exclaimed, grabbing my wrist and dragging me off the ship and through a tube.
"B-but why?" I questioned, trying to free my wrist.
"We're pirates, and this is the Isle, where all the Villains are locked up! Nice people don't survive. Oh…" we were stopped by a purple-haired girl. She wore a purple and green outfit. Huh, whose kid is she?
"Hook… oh who's the new girl? I don't recognize her…" the girl spat, her eyes...glowing?
"Well she's the newest member of Uma's gang. Not that it matters to you. What are ye doin on Uma's turf?" Harry asked, holding up his hook at the girl.
She didn't even flinch. "Well, you're cutting off the girl's blood flow ya dumb pirate."
Harry loosened his grip on my wrist. I took a step behind Harry, not trusting this girl. Harry seemed to take a protective stance.
"It's a little rude. My mother is going to hear about this. You’re hiding her, I know it, my mother won’t like this!" The girl exclaimed, sticking her gum on Harry's hook and walking away.
Harry cursed under his breath as he took the gum off his hook. I slowly came out from behind him.
"Who was she?" I asked looking up at Harry.
"That bitch was Maleficent's daughter." Harry spat, clearly pissed at her.
I shivered, Maleficent was one of my worst feared villain movies. "I've always been scared of Maleficent as a child." I muttered.
Harry lifted an eyebrow. "That's another thing I need to ask ye, how do ye know our parents?" Harry asked me as he threw the gum onto the side of a building.
I frowned and looked at the cloudy sky. "Well growing up your parents were in stories for me. The good guys always defeating the villains. Personally, I enjoyed the Neverland stories. But I was a bit confused by Hook. He was obsessed with a child and had hatred for peter pan. Though Peter Pan was definitely not my favorite, I actually liked Smee." I rambled on.
Harry chuckled. "Smee is great. His two little runts look up to me, They call me Uncle Harry."
I giggled at the thought. "Smee's kids call you Uncle? That's so sweet!" I smiled as we walked through the Isle.
My smile vanished as I noticed the poor living conditions of the Isle. "Wow."
Harry lifted an eyebrow. "Aye the conditions on the Isle are horrible. But what do yeh expect? Auradon gets all the glitz and glam and we get all their scraps." Harry explained, a cold indifference to his voice.
I shivered at that, Harry sounded so...used to it, no one should live like this, especially kids. I was surprised by this fact. Why were these people living like this? Why weren't they given real food? So many questions I wanted to ask but not yet.
"Here we are at our first stop." Harry announced.
I looked up to see that we were apparently at Lady Tremaine's Curl Up and Dye shop. Huh guess Lady Tremaine ended up on the Isle too.
Harry grabbed my wrist and dragged me inside the shop. A girl was inside sweeping up hair, wearing headphones.
Harry frowned and tapped his hook on the counter catching the girl's attention. Oh my, she's quite young, I believe she's 4 years younger than us. Wow. We're only 9th graders…
My heart just broke. This was horrible. But I did question whose daughter she was. Was she Drizella's or Anastasia's daughter? Oh what's going on?
"Hand it over ya runt!" Harry exclaimed.
The girl sighed and walked behind the counter, opening the register and giving the money to Harry.
"Thank ye, come on {y/n}." Harry stated grabbing my wrist, and leading me out of the salon.
Heading to our next stand I asked Harry a question. "Harry, who was that girl you stole from?"
"That girl? Oh you mean the little bright-eyed runt? That was Dizzy, Drizzilla's daughter." Harry explained before he flashed a dangerous smirk at the stand tender who paled and shakily handed harry a basket of eggs
"Ok, that's good to know." I stated as we continued, now carrying the basket of eggs, after harry handed it to me. I watched Harry collect items and money from multiple stands.
"So what is all this for?" I inquired as harry counted a roll of papers and gold coins "payment, for Uma's protection" Harry said, nodding to the person manning the fruit stall, and continuing to another with vegetables.
I frowned at this. Why do they need Uma's protection? That was something I was going to learn very quickly.
"This is our turf Hook! Go back to Shrimpy!" Maleficent's daughter exclaimed.
I hid behind Harry once more. Yes I was terrified of this purple-haired girl. That's when another female voice spoke up.
"Come on Mal. We need to get going! Jay and Carlos are waiting for us." The girl stated, causing Mal to grumble a bit before I heard her stomping off.
A few seconds passed before I stepped out from behind Harry. "So can I ask why Mal hates you so much?" I asked tentatively.
"Mal is a bitch. She pulled a prank on Uma when we were young and gave her the nickname Shrimpy. Don't call 'er that though, she will not be happy." Harry explained as we turned and headed back towards the docks.
But this time instead of heading through the tube tunnel, we turned and headed towards Ursula's Chip Shop. Huh I guess it's a British fish and fry shop. Cool.
Walking inside, the first thing I noticed was the smell of fish. To be expected I guess. Oh it looks like the crew is getting ready.
"We're back!" Harry called out, setting the stuff he held onto the bartop table.
He motioned for me to do the same with the basket I was holding. I carefully sat the basket on the table, and the blonde one, I believe Uma said his name was Gil, He is definitely built like Gaston, reached for the egg basket as soon as it touched the table.
"Gil. Those are for the shop!" Uma exclaimed before he could take one.
Gil pouted a bit but stepped aside so Uma could examine the haul. She counted the number of eggs in the basket, seeming happy with the number she moved to the money. Counting the money she smirked.
"Good job everyone. But now it's time for school. So everyone get goin!" Uma shouted and the whole crew wrestled around getting their stuff together.
Harry just yawned  and chatted with Uma. I on the other hand sat at a table and watched everything going on. I have a feeling I won't be returning home anytime soon. Not that anyone will miss me. I didn't own much. I didn't have any friends. And I didn't have any pets. So yea. I think I'm ok living here.
"{Y/N}!!! Get a movin! We're sneakin ya into school!" Harry exclaimed with a smirk.
Shit.

2 part commission - Harry Hook x reader - the masked princess - part 1
Tumblr media Tumblr media
commission from @musicarose
=
You sat silently at an empty lunch table, watching as those at the next looked at you wearily and whispered to each other.
You sighed, leaning on your hand and picking at your food.
You were the second daughter of Aurora and Phillip, the younger sister of Audrey…the one everyone avoided because of your sister's attempted take over.
It wasn’t fair, almost everyone had forgiven her within the day she was returned to normal, and almost everyone shunned you for what SHE did.
You looked up, watching as your sister walked through the doors, laughing and smiling with Jane and Evie. You swallowed down the pit in your throat and stuffed some mac n cheese in your mouth.
It wasn’t fair.
--
You looked up from your sketchbook notebook as the teacher announced there would be new students joining the class.
“Everyone, I want you to welcome our new students.” you felt your breath stop as a tall, dark, handsome boy walked through the doors, his bright ocean blue eyes scanning the room as a girl with long teal hair entered in after him.
‘That’s uma’ you thought, remembering her from your sister's ramblings ‘so that must be…’
“Harry ‘ook” the tall boy muttered, obviously bored as the teacher made him introduce himself. ‘Harry Hook’ you finished your thought, finally tearing your eyes away from the handsome son of Hook.
“Alright, Harry you sit back there with miss (whatever aurora and Phillips last name is) and uma-“ you ignored the rest of the teacher's speech, watching from the corner of your eye as Harry made his way towards you and sat down in the desk next to you.
You didn’t bother to say hi, you knew the others would tell him to stay away from you as soon as they got a grip on him.
It didn’t stop your heart from latching onto him, even if you told it that it would never happen.
Because in the week and months following, you saw a side that you knew many others didn’t see.
He was a brother, his playfulness with the younger members of his crew, making faces at his sisters when they weren’t looking. His laughter as CJ jumped onto his back and demanded to be carried.
He was creative, humming little tunes as he worked, little doodles on the edges on his page, the spark of excitement in his bright ocean blue eyes when the teacher would assign an art or writing based assignment.
He was a strategist, joining tourney and quickly rising the ranks to the captain as he shaped up the team and destroying the other schools with quick and witty plans.
He was smart, in the sense of people, able to tell if someone was angry or sad from simply glancing at their hands. He could taunt someone into messing up, leading to many a victory in tourney and R.O.A.R. along with getting someone like chad to leave the new young isle kids alone.
He was kind, you had seen him carry small animals in his coat and hoodies, cooing at them and handling them gently. He stayed with crew members and younger members of the isle as they cried or had panic attacks.
He was brave, diving into deep-sea waters as Jane fell in. tackling a rabid animal as it tried to attack dude, standing up to a deranged villain.
You just couldn’t help but fall in love with the bright blue-eyed pirate. And it sucked, knowing he only knew you as ‘the girl who I sit next to in a couple of classes and gave me a pencil one time’
So you sat in your corner, watching as girls flirted with him, and him flirt back…including your sister.
She didn’t know you liked him but it still hurt, but you knew that if he had a choice he would choose her over you.
She was more outgoing, she was the perfect daughter, she was the oldest daughter of Aurora, she was the one in the spotlight.
Why would the handsome, brave, kind and charming Harry Hook choose the plain, closed in, and unnoticed younger sister of Audrey.
Then one day.
Tumblr media
You tilted your head, taking one of the free flyers in the clear hanging box next to the hanging poster, turning it over to see the back
-meet at the grand ballroom (cafeteria) the 31st at 7 pm-
That…that sounded fun, you smiled to yourself, you needed a night to just…let yourself be unknown because so many others would be as well.
But…your shoulders sagged, you didn’t have any dresses, and you were too socially awkward to go ask for one.
So as the day of the ball drew closer, you watched as the other students chatter about their outfits and masks, some considering asking their crush or s/o to the ball.
You listened to your sister wonder about asking Harry…and you sat in the background, sketching out a beautiful blue mask and dress, based on the blue version of your mother's classic dress.
A knock sounded at the window of your room, you and your sister looked to each other and you stood and carefully looked out, sighing in relief as three balls of light floated about.
You opened the window and stepped aside.
Fauna, flora, and Merryweather gently flew in, growing in size as they landed on the floor. “hello children~” fauna cheered, her and flora walking over to Audrey as Merryweather sat next to you, offering a cookie.
“We heard there's a ball coming up and we want to help you get ready!” flora cheered, clapping her hands together.
You sighed and sat back, Merryweather tilting her head at you “(y/n)? sweetheart, what's wrong?”
“I don’t think im going” you muttered, Merryweather puffed up and leaned forward.
“why not?”
“well, I don’t have a dress or mask for it, and the guy I like is probably going with Audrey, I- I really don’t see a reason to go” you looked down to your lap, playing with your fingers.
“well…that’s not- alright, ill help make you a dress and mask, and you'll go to the ball, and you'll turn everyone's head and get that boy!”
You shushed her, you didn’t want Audrey to hear “no! not so loud, besides, who would want me there?”
“us!” Merryweather stressed, “we’ll be there as chaperones, and we want you to go out for once and have fun!”
You sighed, laughing a little and nodding “alright, alright ill go!”
Merryweather smirked and gave a triumphant nod. “good, now show me what your thinking of wearing”
As you showed her your sketch, Merryweather's face brightened “oh my, (y/n) that is a gorgeous dress! And that mask-ohhhh that boy will go gaga over you”
You chucked, shaking your head. “alright merry”
As Audrey left with flora and fauna, merry magicked up some blue ombre fabric, gently floating the sketch page in front of her and muttering some random words and measurements.
“you'll look amazing trust me love” you sighed, letting Merryweather do her work.
“and ill enchant it so it won't fit anyone else but you since I know how your sister is” you burst out laughing recalling all the times she borrowed your clothes and never returned them.
“thanks” you settled down in the windowsill chair and pulled your sketchbook to you, sketching down a particular boy and girl dancing away.
===
You finished the wing on your liner, breathing deeply and edging from your mirror, all that was left was to do your hair and get dressed, and then it would be time to go to the ball.
“alright (y/n) you got this, it's just a ball, everyone will be wearing masks, no one will know it's you”
Audrey was already at the “ballroom” being apart of the planning committee. “and maybe- maybe harry will notice you? Yeah right”
You snorted, backing away from the mirror and looking to your bed, smiling softly at the ombre blue ball gown, the light blue mask resting next to it.
“Alright, let's do this!”
---
Harry sighed, he was bored, Audrey wouldn’t shut up and leave him alone, he wished he hadn’t been convinced to come along by evie.
He reached up, fixing the sliding mask on his nose and stood from leaning against the wall, ignoring Audrey as she asked him what he was doing.
He walked to the punch line, groaning loudly as uma stepped next to him, her teal sea-themed mask staring back at him. “your bored aren’t you?” she chuckled.
“there's no one interestin’” he snorted. Looking around the room….wait who- “uma whos tha’?” harry whispered, pointing over to the main doors.
Uma turned, her brows raising as she spotted who harry was talking about.
The masked girl wore an off-shoulder blue ombre ball gown with glitter on the end of the skirt, an elegant blue mask encrusted with diamonds placed delicately on her face.
Tumblr media
Her (h/c) hair (curled, straightened, braided) and framing her face perfectly.
Smokey eyes hiding behind the mask, (lip type) lips painted with a tint of (reddish/peach/whatever color u want)
“Wow, she's pretty” she whistled, smirking as harry broke away from her and walked directly to the girl.
“uh oh” she chuckled “I feel like im in one of those classic fairy tales now”
“why?” Gil came up behind her, mask on top of his head, and eating honey beignets.
“you know it, the young man, bored at the ball, unamused by anyone's advances, suddenly he stops! For there she stands, the girl of his dreams!” gil looked up, seeing Harry's red-suited form walking up to the girl in blue.
“who she is or where she came from he does not know, nor does he care” uma smirked watching as harry gently grabbed her hand, the girl whipping around surprised, her ears becoming darker.
“for his heart tell him, that here, here is the maiden destined to be his~” Harry pressed his lips to her hand, smiling at her.
Uma and Gil looked to each other and chuckled “it seems we may have an addition to the crew?”
“if she unmasks herself at the end of the night like everyone else” uma thought aloud. Gentle music began to play, harry bowed and held his hand out to the girl, inviting her to dance.
She took his hand and he led her to the main dance floor, joining the others.
“uma” Gil announced in a posh voice “may I have this dance milady~”
Uma let out a cackle “you may~”
---
You knew Harry was the one who had walked up to you, kissed your hand, asked you to dance, and continued to spend the night with you.
And you didn’t care, you knew he didn’t know who you were, and would forget about you the next day. But you didn’t care, you would follow Merryweather's wish for you to simply have fun.
It had been a wonderful couple of hours, you had met uma and gil for the first time, and you loved them (you wished you were brave enough to meet them without the mask) you met his sisters CJ and Harriet.
And now you and harry sat just outside the ballroom on the balcony simply talking and laughing.
Harry tilted his head at you, a bright smile on his face “so lass, how come I haven’t seen yeh around the school, Im sure I would have noticed a bonnie lass like yeh around.”
You gave a nervous giggle and shrugged “im not that noticeable, trust me”
You jumped as the bell sounded, looking inside you saw the rest of the school standing in front of the stage where the band was, seeing fairy godmother announce the removal of the masks.
“oh, I have- I have to go!” you stood, desperate to leave when Harry grabbed your wrist, you whipped back around, chest hurting as you looked into Harry's confused eyes.
“But why? Everyones about ta remove their masks, I don’t even know yer name?” you shook free, holding your hand close to your chest.
“im-im sorry”
“10!”
“please at least tell me yer name” harry pleaded, you bit your lip, you didn’t want to tell him your name, you knew as soon as you did he would know and would avoid you like all the others.
“rose…my name is rose” really (y/n)? your mother's old name?
“rose…ill find yeh” you looked into his bright ocean blue eyes one last time and bolted, not bearing to look as the crowd said the final number and removed their masks.
…Harry looked after you, slowly removing his mask.
“ill find yeh” he muttered, he promised to himself, he would find his masked princess.
-----
You slammed your dorm room closed, doing your best to not hyperventilate. “okay…okay, breathe (y/n) breathe! He doesn’t know it was you, he won't find out!”
You stopped “oh but…” a smile bloomed on your face “even if he does….ill never regret this night”
You leaned off the door, slowly dancing as you made your way across the room.
“so this is what mom felt when she met dad” you sighed, removing your mask and gloves, placing them into a box to shove under your bed.
You paused, thumb brushing against the nose of the mask “maybe ill get my prince?”

On My Own (Harry Hook) Part Nine
Tumblr media
“You swore you’d never hurt me.”
“You swore you’d never leave me On My Own.”
Eight | Nine | Ten
Gil and Harry stood outside of Ursula’s Fish and Chips Shop, making sure no one interrupted Uma’s meeting with some rascals that had been swiping things from the shop. You just so happened to be walking to the shop with a pirate in tow at the same time, fury written across your forehead at the same time they were keeping guard. Gil could practically smell the fight brewing from Harry’s wicked grin.
“Harry Hook!” You shouted, shoving the pirate you had been dragging along onto the ground in front of Harry’s feet.
“Yes, Kitten? Come to pay yer favorite pirate a visit?” The brunet taunted, fixing his grip on his shining silver hook.
“Cut the shit, Hook,” You gritted out, pinning the boy to the wall behind him. He raised an eyebrow at the minimal distance between your bodies, a Cheshire grin beginning to tug at his lips.
“Feelin’ a bit frisky, love?” You disregarded his comment, pressing your forearm against his throat.
“Mind telling me why the hell you’ve been sending your mangy mutts to spy on me?” You interrogated, eyes narrowed into slits. The pirate’s eyebrows raised, grin sharpening even more.
“Ye’r upset over that? Jus’ wanted to keep an eye on ya. Some of the rascals ‘round here are getting bold. Just lookin’ out for me girl.”
“I can take care of myself, Hook,” You remarked, rolling your eyes. “I’ve got you pinned, don’t I? And you’re the most dangerous man on the Isle, aren’t you?”
The grin returned to Harry’s face a your teasing. He raised an eyebrow, “Is that so?”
Within a second he had switched your positions, pressing your back to the wall with his hook under your chin. He leaned forward so his lips grazed your ear, taking pride in the barely noticeable shiver that coursed through your body because of his proximity.
“Ye’r right about one thing, love,” He whispered, trailing his hook down the side of your face, moving his head back just enough so that when he turned your head to face him you had maybe an inch between your lips. “I am the most dangerous man on the Isle. So ye better not mess with me. Matches and gasoline don’t get along, ye know. One of ‘em always ends up getting burned.”
You chuckled, trailing a finger down the side of his face, mimicking the motions he had made with his hook with a feather light touch. “Don’t worry, Harry,” You whispered back, matching his smoldering gaze with one of your own. “I’m always the match.”
You woke up in the middle of the night to a banging on your door, effectively scaring you out of your restless sleep. Huffing, you covered your head with a pillow, muffling your scream with it. Why is it always so hard for everyone to let you sleep? At this rate you’re going to be the reason Auradon runs out of coffee.
Glancing to make sure Lonnie was still asleep (that girl could sleep through the end of the world), you trudged to the door, dragging your feet along the carpet. You glanced at Lonnie’s tourney stick by the door, strongly considering using it to knock out whoever the hell was at your door this time. Shaking your head, you reminded yourself of the torture that was remedial goodness class - AKA naptime.
“This better be good,” You mumbled, throwing open the door.
“Why hello, Y/N. You ‘re looking very happy this morning,” An amused yet tight voice replied. You sighed, crossing your arms on your chest.
“Uma, it is ass o’clock in the morning. What could you possibly want that couldn’t wait until a decent hour?”
“Get dressed, we’re going for a walk,” She commanded, mimicking your annoyed stance. You finally opened your eyes, giving the blue-haired girl an unamused look.
“In case you forgot, I’m not on your crew. You can’t just command me like those wharf-rats of yours,” You replied.
“Your boyfriend is one of my wharf-rats. That makes you a wharf-rat by default,” She shot back, grabbing a random jacket hanging on the coat rack by your door and tossing it at you before you could come up with a retort. “Hurry up.”
“Care to tell me why we’re taking a leisurely stroll before dawn, Uma?” You asked, sticking out even in the dark night thanks to your slippers and cartoon pajamas.
“I’m giving you a warning,” She replied, giving you a glance out of the corner of her eye. “None of my crew is scared to go back to the Isle. If you hurt Harry again, we’ll return there with smiles on our faces. He was heartbroken enough the first time. I don’t even want to imagine what it’d be like the second.”
“Harry isn’t my boyfriend, Uma. We just buried the hatchet,” You sighed. You paused and kicked a rock that was in your path, lips tugging down into a frown. “It was that bad, huh?”
Uma shook her head, pursing her lips. “It was worse. I lost my First Mate, despite him standing right in front of me. Especially when Mal would rub it in his face before you all left. He was like a shell, numb to it all...”
“I didn’t think it’d affect him that much...” You mumbled, eyes drifting back down to the ground. “He didn’t seem that distraught when I left. Just looked pissed off.”
“Well he was pissed too. Pushed Gil off the docks a couple of times, hooked some people. “ You chuckled, wrapping your arms around yourself.
“Sounds like normal things for Harry.”
“Y/N, I know we’ve never really been friends. Let’s be real, we never really even attempted. But for Harry’s sake, let’s try to be civil with each other - at least when he’s around.”
You wrapped your arms around yourself, eying the other girl through the corner of your eye. “You know, Uma... I never actually hated you.”
Uma raised an eyebrow, stopping to face you. “Oh really? Then why did you treat me like gum on the bottom of your shoe? I don’t see you treating your little buddy Mal like that.”
You gave a laugh at that, plopping down on the ground unceremoniously. “Mal and I weren’t necessarily buddies, Uma. We were just thrown in a limousine together. Kind of hard to not become friends when you’re the only villains in a Kingdom of heroes.”
Uma scoffed, crossing her arms over her chest. “The friend of my enemy is my enemy.”
You rolled your eyes, looking up at the Pirate. “I wasn’t your enemy, Uma. I guess you could say... under certain circumstances...you might even say I was...jealous, “You muttered, eyes drifting down her figure, eventually landing on the ground by her feet.
Uma left out a surprised breath, crouching down to your height. “Come again?” Groaning, you lifted your gaze to meet hers. “I said I was jealous, okay? I mean - how could I not be? You’re pretty, and strong, and a great leader. Not to mention pretty badass.”
The sea captain stood up, clearing her throat, not sure how to respond to your sudden honesty. You gave a slight snicker, “Have you always been this easy to fluster?”
Uma scoffed, rolling her eyes. “You and Harry sure are perfect together. You both seem to forget I can use magic here.”
You laughed at the threat, shaking your head. “I really hope we can leave all the hostility from the Isle in the past. You’re alright - for a hotheaded pirate.”
“Don’t push it, Facilier.”
Surprise?
Short, but it’s just a filler! Next part will be up soon! Thank you guys for being so patient!! I love you guys so much!

falling, but i thought that you would need me.
Tumblr media
audrey rose centric fanfiction | post descendants three | canon compliant | part one of ? | rating : teen | warnings : swearing, anxiety | word count : 2521 | masterlist  | part two
“yes, gil, i promise they won’t make you drop out even if you don’t do your chores.  you don’t even have to do chores anymore.  you know that don’t you?”
audrey rose was trying her damn best to keep that god-forsaken snark out of her tone.  she was trying because honestly, she did care. she cared so much, in fact, that the blonde had taken it upon her self to see that every single villian kid on that damned isle would be happily situated in healthy and safe homes.  because she owes it to them, doesn’t she?
doesn’t she owe it to them after the half-ass apology she got from her royal highness, lady of the court, daughter of maleficent?  because she almost destroyed everything, which is enough for her to almost start screaming because she didn’t really mean to.
but, it’s not right to dwell on the past, (she can still hear those words coming out of her own grandmother’s mouth, seated in the formal living room on golden detailed sofas, praying the lesson would end so she could go see her future husband ben.)  she can think of old audrey, who’s snarky words were all that she had and held her tongue until one day it slipped loose of her hold. and now she’s lost everything, chad won’t look her in the eye (as he should, best friends don’t curse each other) but then she was queen, dark and incredibly regal so much so that she no longer had just her words, oh no, she had magic then, and she had made them pay (something still whispers that it’s not enough, they haven’t paid their dues, that it was only a fraction of the cost.  she had been cheated)
sometimes, when those words get too loud, she goes away. for days at a time, its only gone over a week once, which got her in so much trouble with her family, so she’ll never do that again. audrey never seems to remember where exactly she goes, which is certainly nightmarish in every way all things considered. (by all things she really means her little incident not so long ago)
god forbid she actually feel something out of line, the world would turn upside down should she ever be angry, or passionate.  even mal is walking on eggshells around her, the daughter of an effing villian scared of sweet little audrey rose.  it would be laughable if audrey wasn’t scared of herself too.
“are you sure? i can..” the boy looked around their surroundings, the calm chatter of the cluster of picnic tables near them drowning out the birds chirping (which audrey has come to find out, uma hates the noise, harry’s indifferent; though his captain disliking it makes him hate it too, and gil just adores it, which makes the other two say that they don’t care even though they were hellbent on making gil happy. this kind of behavior audrey may or may not be jealous of. nobody wants to make her happy, they just want to keep her from exploding, it sounds so tempting to let her emotions run free, however dangerous it is.)
audrey doesn’t let him finish, putting a soft hand over top his own the table, like ben does.  “i’m very sure.” she says with finality, which makes him beam gratefully causing the princess to smile in return. (”it’s a super power of his” harry had said. “uma coulda’ just lost a battle to mal and if he smiled, we were all doin better already.”)
but of course all so suddenly, disaster strikes. she can spot dark purple (a new establishment after several critiquing comments from  council members about the blue she had sported) out of the corner of eye and she can tell she visibly pales because even oblivious sweet gil looks at her with concern.  her hand leaves gil’s and goes to push herself off and up the table, heart pumping so loud it thunders through her.
gil’s face flashes briefly with alarm, before he turned around to discover the almost-queen laughing and waving at familiar faces and he turns back to her, his face soft with understanding (which fires up rage in her heart because he doesn’t understand, no one does.  nobodies ever kissed his boyfriend in front of everybody with no apology.)
she wants to snap at him, her mind reeling in a response as soon as he looked at her.  but she couldn’t. that was the old audrey, now she is kind and forgiving and gracious. (and jealous)
so instead she ignores him, (arguably not the best choice, but whatever) and picks up her purse from where it had been laid on the bench.  audrey offers a smile, “i’m not feeling too well, must’ve been something i ate.” she laughs to cover up her bundled nerves but she’s not fooling anybody.
but then, gil stands up with her and goes over to where she stands, she’s in shock but tries to keep a neutral face on, her eyes following him. normally he always lets her leave because he’s such a pushover sweet friend. are they friends? or is he just here to tell mal she’s not losing her fucking mind? because she is, but if you can convince everybody you’re not falling apart of anger but of sadness, nobody has to tell that your therapist is really just somebody you vent to, and that they don’t actually make your gnawing anxiety go away.
“audrey, you haven’t eaten anything.” she wants to cry at the way he says her name, like he’s fucking disappointed when he really doesn’t have any right to be.  it’s none of his business, but she really can’t think about it too much because she doesn’t want mal to see her and she doesn’t want to pretend to talk to her.
“oh,” the little noise she makes is pathetic and she immediately wishes she never made it she can’t let her guard down. “well i have to go talk to uh..” she tries to think of a name, any name that’s not mal bertha almost florian.  audrey realizes how unsure she sounds and she tries again, “i have to go talk to freddie, she wanted me to help her with her goodness 101 homework, it’s funny sometimes i forget i’m in that class too.” i don’t belong there tries to force it way out of her mouth which surprisingly would’ve gone perfectly with that bitter tone the last part was uttered in.
she tugs her arm out of his grip (she hadn’t even noticed that he had touched her in the first place isle instincts would’ve gifted her so greatly.) “so, i should go.  i’m sorry, i’m such a ditz i can’t believe i forgot!” she offers an apologetic smile and goes to turn but his arm is back, tighter this time, and she knows she isn’t getting away.
gil purses his lips like he’s in thought, before looking back at her. “i don’t believe for one minute that freddie needs help, mal helps her with her homework.” audrey opens her mouth to say something, whether an apology or an excuse she isn’t sure. “but --” her mouth abruptly closes with the look he gives her. “-- we are going to go with harry and uma and the four of us will do our homework together” he finishes with passion and a firm nod of his head, leaving no room for argument.
audrey wants to snarl and say something clever and fiendish like how he is dumb as rocks and really won’t be able to do the homework which isn’t true. she almost sobs at how easy it is to be mean, how quick she would’ve been had she not thought.
instead, she nods mournfully, like a pathetic pitied princess scolded toddler. she tries to regain her dignity by standing up straighter, which gil adorably tilts his head at.
the princess looks over her shoulder to still spot purple hair causing her to  frantically drag gil away from the inevitable scene she could’ve caused.  face paced heeled feet carry her far away from the anxiety inducing area and back to the comfort of her own dorm where she could wrap herself up in a blanket and just forget.
unfortunately, as she tries to make a break for it, gil notices and he tugs gentle as could be her back in the direction of uma’s dorm.  normally audrey would argue that the library would be better suited, if it was somebody else.  but harry hook is not well known for being quiet or getting along with other students.
and then she’s sitting on a lazily thrown teal comforter on top of uma’s bed, her book propped up against the foot board and her binder in her lap on top of uma’s feet.
the princess had finished her homework for the class the sea witch was currently groaning about a long time ago, it was simple and the questions were phrased in such a way you’d think that they were for kindergartners.
a pillow hits her shoulder and she is quickly startled out of her studies. “harry!” she cries, throwing it back at him.  it misses, making him burst out laughing as uma leans back off of the side of the bed, causing audrey to grab her ankle in attempt to keep her from falling. uma punches harry on his knee from where he sits next to the bed, and that’s when gil starts to laugh.
and it stays like that for awhile, audrey trying to study while the so called ‘sea three’ goof off.  it’s so sweet audrey almost doesn’t notice the prickling burning thoughts that start to bubble to the surface after gil says something offhandedly about taking over auradon that even uma doesn’t catch.
they laugh it off, although audrey’s laugh is a lot less convincing and her face is screwed up, she’s sure it looking absolutely disgraceful but they don’t notice so she lets it be.
and then she messes up because she lets the thoughts ravage her mind until that’s all she can hear.  so much so she almost doesn’t realize that uma, who had taken a notice at her silence and brown eyes boring into the paper, is calling her name and now sitting up.
at least, until she does see and then she’s met with fierce eyes and a fiercer face laced with concern which makes her feel angry and comforted at the same time.
and that’s where things start to worsen for audrey because she could blow off and fake everybody else in the world, but not uma, and not her pirates.  so really, it shouldn’t of surprised her when she tried to make up an excuse and got off the bed when uma pulled her back down.
“what is going on?” uma’s voice goes in one ear and out the other, truly, because she continues to try and leave.
“uma, please let me go. i’m serious i have to go.” she tugs backwards only to find a pale hand on her shoulder, and she looks up to meet blue eyes that tell her she’s not going anywhere until she answers them.
which is fine, because she scoffs and pushes harry’s hand off, squirming through uma’s tight grip on her hand. “i’m fine, please i have to go.”
her words don’t seem to affect uma at all because she’s still looking at her so sternly that audrey can feel herself shrinking back. “i’m sorry, but i’m fine.” she purses her lips to look up at uma. “ i don’t want you to pity me, i told you i’m not playing this game with you.”  she sneers, and it’s accidental, but uma’s gaze only narrows.
she remembers the first time they met, when harry had conveniently disappeared and left her alone prime time for pirates ganging up on her, she supposed.  she remembers uma telling her she wasn’t alone. and that was all she had said before taking her back to harry.
they were not friends, but they were not cruel to each other. they were kind, even.  it was a mutual respect kind of deal (but did mutual respect include calming audrey down when she’s about to burst or letting her play with her fingers under the desks in goodness 101?) it was nothing more, really.  audrey doesn’t owe her anything. (which is maybe why they get along so well.)
uma’s glare had turned cold as she let go of audrey’s arm, crossing her own over her chest. “i’m not going to pity you, princess.” uma’s tone matches her gaze and audrey feels as if her heart would shatter.  and it’s especially ridiculous that her heart feels so broken because she wants this, doesn’t she.  all she really wants is to be left alone, away from people who make guilt stir deep in her stomach because it hurts.
audrey’s is at a loss for words, her thoughts spinning her head around. “good,” she states, tilting her nose up only slightly (a habit) uma hates when she does that, because it makes her look entitled.  but why not hide what is already there. “can i go now? or are you going to interrogate me some more?” interrogation, like when the kidnapped ben for the wand, because they’re pirates. every pirate’s a villian in the end, her grandmother had taught her that at least, maybe this is something she’s right about.
she can tell she did something because there’s a trace of sadness on uma’s face before it’s gone, she can see uma disappointingly wave her hand at harry and suddenly audrey’s free to go. (it’s pathetic how much she wants to dive into uma’s lap and never leave, to hold on tight to something, anything would be so lovely.)
she pretends she does not think about staying and collects her things quietly, imagining like she can not feel the three other teens’ eyes burning through her.  her heart is stinging and she’s about to cry. (she can’t cry, she cannot cry in front of pirates, in front of villians.)  but, she would rather be bitter than cry in front of people so instead she gathers her pride and leaves. audrey imagines in her head that they’re running after her, that somebody still wants her even after she’s been a bitch.
it’s a ridiculous hope, she wouldn’t want to be friends with herself after all she’s done and continues to do.  she always finds herself alone and mean at the end of the day.  her nightmares are always the same, her lying dead in a room full of adults she once was adored by, her cursing an entire kingdom (and abusing her best friend) and nobody ever saves her, nobody wakes her up.
the princess has always had nightmares, she had always imagined it was her mother’s curse, and her own curse had only heightened the fear and realism of them.  once a week turned into every other night, which turned into never having a single dreamless night.
princess audrey rose never had any peace.
ʚĭɞ | hi there! i hope you enjoyed this lil bit of audrey angst.  i’m not sure if i’ll continue this, it was very fun to have a break of writing my oc fic. it felt nice to write something new.  i hope i gave audrey justice i really love her as a character and i recently did a ‘study’ on her outfits you can find here!  let me know what you think! - rory

Soulmates
Ben x OC
Fandom: Descendants
Summary: Helia meets her soulmate under circumstances she never would have predicted
Benjamin Florian Beast
That was the name written on Helia’s wrist. And she had seen it all over the Isle lately, thanks to the posters for Auradon's Royal Cotillion. Helia’s soulmate was the King of Auradon.
Auradon, the place where her best friends were, and her only friends, for that matter. The only people she was really close with, and they had been taken to Auradon.
Helia had been walking around the Isle, heading back to her hideout, when someone pulled her from her train of thought.
'Hey.'
Helia whipped around, and stopped in her tracks when she saw who it was.
'Mal?' She said.
'Hey Lia.' Mal smiled.
Helia looked around, making sure they were alone, before walking forward to give the girl a hug.
'I missed you.' The blue haired girl said.
'I missed you too.' Mal said, as the two sisters let go of each other.
Little known fact, Maleficent had two daughters with Hades, Mal got the "title" of Maleficents daughter, while Helia got the "title" of Hades daughter. Aside from those four people, only one other person knew about this, and that was the twin sisters best friend Evie.
'You look different.' Helia commented, referring to Mal's blonde hair.
'Tell me about it.' Mal said. 'I'm gonna have to get that sorted.'
'I know a good place.' Helia said. 'I could take you if you like.'
'Cool. I just wanna head to our old hideout first.' Mal said, and Helia nodded, and the two girls began walking.
'How is it in Auradon?' Helia asked.
'It's... different from here.' Mal said, causing both girls to slightly laugh. 'Imagine that.'
''Find your soulmate?'
'No. Not yet, but speaking of that.' Mal said, looking at one of the Cotillion posters. 'I met your soulmate.' She said, looking forward again. Helia sighed.
'How is he?' She asked.
'Someone who I think you'd like.' Mal said with a mix between a smirk and a smile.
'How are the others?'
'Well, Evie's got a fashion business, turns out Carlos likes dogs, and Jay is the captain of a sports team at school.'
'So, how come your back then? Auradon doesn't seem bad.' Helia then asked, and Mal sighed.
'I don't belong in Auradon.' She simply said.
'Want to talk about it?' Helia asked with a slightly worried glance at Mal.
'No, not right now.'
'Alright.'
Helia was walking through the streets of the Isle for the second time that day. After catching up with Mal, she decided to head back to her hideout, while Mal stayed in the VK's old one.
'Helia?' She heard someone say as she turned a corner. She turned around to see who it was, and was caught by surprise.
'Evie?' Helia said, the two blue haired girls walking towards each other, before they shared a hug.
'It's so good to see you!' Evie said, releasing her friend.
'As good at it is to see you too, I can't help but be surprised.' Helia replied, looking at Evie.
'Don't blame you.' Someone else said, who turned out to be Carlos, who appeared behind Evie, followed by Jay.
'You're all back too?' Helia asked.
'Yeah, Ben felt bad, like it was his fault Mal came back, but we couldn't let him come alone.' Evie explained.
'Ben?' Helia said confused.
'King Ben.' Jay clarified, as someone came up behind the three VK's. 'Speak of the devil.'
Helia's eyes widened, that someone was the person she had seen on all those Cotillion posters. She had never expected to meet her soulmate, but now of all times?
'Helia, you've heard of King Ben.' Evie said, knowing the name that was etched into Helia's wrist. 'Ben, this is Helia, Hades daughter. An old friend of ours.'
Helia saw Ben's eyes also widen. Then her shyness has to kick in. She couldn't do this.
'I-I have to go.' She stuttered out, before turing around and quickly walking in the other direction.
'Helia-' Evie started, before realization dawned on her. 'Ben, you haven't happened to have heard of Helia before, from anywhere?'
'Well, Helia is the name of my soulmate.' Ben said.
'That's what I thought.' Evie said, looking in the direction Helia went. Looking back at Ben, he looked slightly worried.
'Hey, don't beat yourself up over that.' Jay said.
'Helia can be a very shy person, it’s not your fault.' Carlos said.
Helia sat in her own little part of the Isle. She didn't live with her dad. She was a little intimidated by him, so she had stayed in the little hideaway for a good while. Suddenly, a sound came from the communication device that led from her hideout to the VK's hideout.
'Helia? It's Mal.'
'Is something wrong?'
'We need your help, Ben's been captured by Uma.'
'How on earth did he end up in that situation?'
'He wandered off by himself. But can you help? I know you know a thing or two about self defense.'
'Alright. I'll help.'
'Thank you! Come over to our hideout, me and Evie are here. Jay and Carlos are getting a fake wand to trick Uma. How quick can you be over?'
'Give me ten minutes.'
'Perfect. See you soon, sis.'
Helia walked across the hideout, and grabbed her leather jacket, before walking out her hideout, and heading to meet the girls.
Helia smirked to herself as she sent her opponent flying into the water. She was in the middle of a sword fight, the VK's team against Uma and her crew.
Maybe she did know self defense. Or maybe she spoke too soon, as she found herself, blades clashing with one of the pirates, almost being pushed into the water herself.
But as she felt herself loosing balance, someone knocked the pirate to the side. This someone, being King Ben.
'Are you okay?' He asked, extending a hand to help her up, which Helia accepts.
'Yeah, I'm fine.' Helia replied. Ben let go of her hand, but to Helia's surprise, he placed it under her chin to tilt her face up, and then connected his lips to hers.
The shy girl was unsurprisingly slightly shocked at first, but after that wore off, she kissed back.
'I wanted to do that in case something went south.' Ben said when they parted.
The two smiled at each other, before taking two separate ways to continue the sword fight.
'Helia, come on!' Evie called over the continuous sound of swords clashing.
Helia made her way over, doding attacks left and right, and reached Evie and Mal.
'You are coming back with us.' Mal said.
'What?' Helia said.
'You are coming with us to Auradon, you don't deserve to be here.' Evie said.
'Are you sure?' Helia questioned.
'Who are we to argue with the king?' Mal said with a smirk, confusing Helia, but she couldn't help the blush spreading across her cheeks.
'Did he?' She said.
'How could he not, your his soulmate, and, evil or not, you can be one of the kindest people on the Isle.' Evie said.
'So, come on! Before we get stuck with Shrimpy for all eternity.' Mal said, as the three girls hurried to the tunnel.
Helia reaches the end of the tunnel with Evie, and got into the limo, Ben and Mal close behind. And Helia couldn't help but smile to herself. Not only was she with her friends again, but with her soulmate. She was leaving the Isle behind, to a new, hopefully better, life.
