So, I drew this instead of working on the fanfic that this is supposed to go along with! So for some context, it’s an Otasune x reader story, but in this the idea is that for Christmas reader is out for the week with their family, Dave was forced to go on his annual Disney World trip, and Hal stayed alone in their shared apartment.

PS. This fic is set in modern times, so phones, duh, and also alternative universe vibes, so Eli and Dave are fraternal twins!!

Otacon x Reader

Warning

Highly cursed at the halfway point. Spoilers for End of Evangelion and I wouldn't recommend that sane people watch it just to try to understand what the hell is going on. Yes there are parts where people turn into orange liquid followed by screams and upbeat happy music about suicide. Also do not look up the hospital scene for this movie (which it is infamous for). You have been warned.

Your smash main is Snake, you're a weeb or you fall in love easily and are used to being hurt by others.

First Date:

None. This man is busy raising a child with Snake.

Second Try:

The two of you meet on a fan board and quickly exchange numbers. Soon he invites you over to his house for a date. You asked where he lived but he said he would prefer to pick you up. You wait outside until you feel what seems to be an earthquake. You go to run but then you look into the sky. "IS THAT A GIANT ROBOT!" The "vehicle" pulls up and sure enough, Otacon is waiting for you. "Good evening. You look wonderful..." He then handed you a bouquet of flowers and you came inside.

Man, he really was an otaku. His home consisted of a bedroom that was really more like a storage space, a bathroom and a kitchen. "Make yourself comfortable, I'm going to bring some refreshments." You looked around for a spot to sit down, his room being like that one photo of Yoshihiro Togashi but notably much cleaner. The walls were stacked from the floor to the ceiling. You would have to tell your date that piracy was also an option. Most of it was just anime so you knew better than to touch it.

There was a small CRT and just about every console you could think of. Even the bad ones.At the far end of the room was a computer. You didn't really understand how that stuff worked but you figured his setup must be very expensive since all you had was Windows 95. You saw a purple creature on the desktop. "What's a bonzi buddy?

"You then noticed that Hal had come back. "I brought you a bento and some pocky. Only the best for my little waifu." He then blushed and turned the television off. "Sorry. I forgot that I was playing Policenauts on my Saturn earlier.."He then asked Alexa to play his spotify playlist which consisted of nothing but Hatsune Miku.

After you were finished eating, he took you by the hand. "Allow you to show you my prized collection." He brought you to his glass stand filled with various figures. It had a little bit of everything. Transformers, all the Gundams, some Code Geass. Even this weird one he called Zone of the Enders? "Yeah, I'm a huge fan!" He then looked around to see if the almighty Mr. Kojima was watching."

But this... This is my favorite." It was a giant build of EVA 01. "I never knew you liked Evangelion..." He then pulled out a copy of End of Evangelion. "Would you like to watch it with me? I have the renewal edition..." You gazed into his eyes and kissed him. "Wow..." He then turned on his hello kitty DVD player and inserted the disc.

The two of you started frenching during the komm susser tod sequence. You began to stroke him while the lyrics "It all returns to nothing" played. "Looks like someone's snake is solid..." He then thought to himself while the screams of those being turned into orange juice could be heard. "It's just like one of my Japanese amines!" You gave one final pull, yelling "It all CUMS TUMBLING DOWN, TUMBLING DOWN, TUMBLING DOWN"

Having finished, Hal shut off his VR machine. Ever since David had left him to go on a date with a woman, he hadn't felt the same. He thought back to when he asked him if love could bloom on the battlefield and then started to sob into his arm. "WHY DOES EVERYONE I LOVE LEAVE ME!?" Little did Snake know but Otacon had created a program where he could be with him in a dating sim. He would later sell it on steam and become as rich as Snake did from the fortnite cameo, bringing him into the spotlight. They would later get back together and become the ultimate power couple.

Jaime x Brienne in asoiaf, I've been ride or die for them since like 2006 when I read Storm and AFfC back to back, they are two character I love individually but their chemistry, the way their storylines thematically intertwine, the dialogue they get to have? if you think I have Otasune brainrot lately just keep in mind that I'm editing myself down A LOT. Like I started playing the metal gears a little over a month ago and I've been obsessing ever since, which is remarkable because I have historically leaned towards het ships at least when it comes to getting really intense about them, I thought I lacked the fujo gene... they are THAT powerful... can love bloom even on a battlefield? Currently reading: I am having the nastiest reader's block in 2024 I am even having trouble listening to audiobooks so yeah there are books I am "reading" but am I, really. But I just loaded the mgs4 novelization into my kindle........... in this vein I've probably been reading more words of fanfic in the past month than I did in the past couple of years cumulatively. Yes it's because of the metalgears leave me alone

Currently watching: Mary & George, also Fallout and Shogun but I'm following these two with other people so I'm taking it slower than most of you guys

Currently consuming: as in eating? nothing, it's too early for dinner and to be honest yesterday's night out was kinda wild I better leave my stomach alone (I won't)

Young justice is a misunderstood show

I think one of the reasons why Im more open to the writing decisions the show makes is that I was a DC fan first before I got into the show, I just want to see the dc universe characters written in a compelling and unique way and for the most part they’ve been able to pull that off.

This show seems to get more flak for what it doesn’t show than what it does show but I think that’s because literally every other superhero show is about a specific character or team.  Young Justice is different, its a serialized anthology show of the dc universe that’s primarily about older heroes passing the torch to younger heroes

 it’s also fundamentally also about maturity and overcoming one’s trauma. Not just younger sidekicks maturing into proper heroes, but about even older heroes maturing by overcoming the obstacles life throws at them or their personal trauma.

its not a just a character based show its a theme based show 

yes It might have too many characters and a lack of focus but its themes about family, finding your identity, and overcoming trauma  are present though the entire narrative

Im not sure if I should be concerned or excited that Young Justice is setting up elements from two of the most hated storylines in DCs history (Countdown and Heroes in Crisis)

the writers were able to make “Rise of Arsenal” work and they also removed the problematic aspects of “The Judus Contract” and “The Killing Joke”

Then again, the Heroes being controlled by villains trope is becoming a bit played out in Young Justice at this point ( Roy, Blue Beetle, Halo, Superboy)

But I know that they will do the sanctuary plot better, that was screwed up by editorial not the writers

There was a little confusion in regards to pricing so here's an updated version that hopefully makes sense. If you can't help by donating/ commissioning, then please signal boost this post by reblogging it.

So if you’ve been following my personal posts on my blog recently then you’ll know that I am quickly running out of money, facing my last month of being able to pay for my rent, and facing either moving back in with my parents or homelessness, neither of which will be good for my mental health.

I am currently trying to find a good way to deal with my mental illnesses as well as figure out what’s wrong with my in terms of my physical health. To cut a long story short, I am bedridden for a week every other month/ every three months, which makes it nearly impossible for me to hold down any kind of job. Not only that but working actually makes my physical and mental health deteriorate at a faster speed.

I’m also looking for something that not only won’t make me sick, but that will work around my streaming schedule (www.twitch.tv/shinybif) but even doing those two things is exhausting for me.

So! I’m opening writing commissions!

The costs are as follows:

A ~500 word drabble/ headcannon is £7

After that the minimum is 1000 words for £10, going up by £1 per 100 words (Eg 1100 words is £11, 1200 words is £12, 1300 words is £13 etc)

+£0.20 per 100 words of the fic if you want it to be NSFW (e.g. if you pay for a 1000 word fic and want it to be NSFW, then your total will come to £12, if you want a 2000 word fic with NSFW then the total is £24 and say you want a random number like 1800 with NSFW then your total would be £21.60, a 500 word NSFW drabble would also be £8)

+10% of the whole price added on as a service fee for fics that require editing and/ or research

+£0.10 per 100 words of the whole fic if you want me to stream the process on Twitch (NO NSFW ALLOWED FOR THIS OPTION) (e.g. if you want a £1000 word fic your total would come to £11)

+£0.20 pence per 100 words for Character x Reader (e.g. a 1000 worded fic would cost £12)
