Girl, I can't believe I'm going crazy over a 15-second cap signing clip....

They're just so at ease in each other's space, IT'S UNBELIEVABLE. The usual soft tone, the way Lando just lets Oscar put the cap on, the cap off, not even a flinch! Am I crazy or Lando even looks cosy ?? Once again, feels like we're intruding, trespassing their own little world.

I feel like they trust each other so much, understand the other's boundaries, and respect them. It's beautiful, and I'm addicted to their small interactions.

the way this was filmed at MTC in the very early morning and daylight is barely misting through the wall of windows so they're both drowsy and Lando's lingering cold has him all stuffy

but because it's them, they aren't spooked by simply being quiet and calm and soft. the media team already have a task for them and normally teammates would make a good joke out of it or push past the tiredness and put some energy into it. but ever since Lando stopped feeling rattled by Oscar's persistent calm and decided to give himself permission to relax and be chill on camera when he wanted, it's completely normal for McLaren content to be languid and peaceful! it's charming and sweet precisely when they're not trying to do anything or when they openly giggle at being given scripted guidelines.

and ugghghg the way sleepily mumble to each other and then Oscar chucks the hat over the camera like 'go away' and I go insane once again at them wanting a privacy door just for the two of them to keep literally everyone else out AND got themselves separate rooms downstairs for meeting people etc so no one would go into their special private space ;__;

also I do not know WHAT exactly that look in Oscar's eyes means as he puts the hat on Lando's head

just that he's had that look many times when he looks at Lando

i decided to go on a bizarre trip down the memory lane and check on the tumblr anti oscar posts during the piasco, and found that a lot of those people after writing giant tirades going on about how this 20 year old is supposed to know his place (?), how he is some sort of jumped up cunt that deserves to flop, are now speaking positively about him 😐 babes, at least delete the hate? but beyond that, how did all those people claiming to be progressives have not clocked the absolute red flag of a move by alpine when they’re argument has devolved about talks of “loyalty”. like, if a company is pontificating about how they are a family -> immediately vacate the premises. and it’s mind boggling that they think that oscar shouldn’t have signed the mclaren contract??? whyyyy
