Gone are the days when metal brackets were the only path to straight teeth. The concept of orthodontics has softened, quite literally, in the hands of Aesthetic & Implant Dental Arts. They focus on discreet solutions that align teeth with subtlety and precision.
Invisible Aligners
Invisible aligners have become the signature trend for adults seeking orthodontic correction. These clear, custom-made trays gently shift teeth into place, almost undetected. Aesthetic & Implant Dental Arts offers state-of-the-art aligner systems that leverage technology to ensure results are not only undetectable but also expedited.
Lingual Braces
For those who require traditional braces but desire discretion, lingual braces are an ideal choice. These are placed on the inside of the teeth, making them invisible to the eyes of others. Dental Implants with Cutting-Edge Technology
The permanence and natural feel of dental implants make them a sought-after solution for those in need of tooth replacement. In their pursuit of perfection, Aesthetic & Implant Dental Arts employs the latest technology and materials to provide implants that merge seamlessly with the patient's natural smile.
3D Technology for Precise Implant Placement
Utilizing 3D scanning and computer-aided design, Aesthetic & Implant Dental Arts maps out the exact placement of dental implants. This precision ensures a comfortable fit and a natural look that matches the individual's facial structure and dental arch.
All-on-Four Implant Techniques
For those who need to replace an entire arc of teeth, the innovative 'All-on-Four' technique is a game-changer. Aesthetic & Implant Dental Arts is at the forefront of this approach, which uses a minimal number of implants to support a full set of fixed, non-removable replacement teeth. This solution guarantees stability and comfort with a quick procedure and recovery time.
Achieving Aesthetic Harmony
Cosmetic bonding and veneers are like the artists' palette, adding shape and shade to create a masterpiece of a smile. In New York, these methods are among the most sought-after for their ability to transform smiles with minimal invasiveness.
Composite Bonding for Natural Repairs
Aesthetic & Implant Dental Arts uses composite bonding to mend chips, cracks, and gaps with a natural finish. This material is carefully sculpted and polished to blend seamlessly with the surrounding teeth, achieving instantaneous aesthetic repairs.
Porcelain Veneers for a Picture-Perfect Smile
When a complete overhaul is in order, porcelain veneers are the go-to for crafting a flawless smile. Aesthetic & Implant Dental Arts' veneers are ultra-thin yet strong, custom-fitted, and stain-resistant, promising long-lasting perfection to those who seek it.

A beautiful smile may leave a lasting impression, and for many people, having perfectly aligned teeth is the first step towards developing a confident and beautiful grin. Your search for the best orthodontic care in Brooklyn has come to an end at House of Orthodontics. Our committed team of experienced orthodontists uses cutting-edge technology in conjunction with their knowledge to treat patients of all ages with the highest calibre braces. House of Orthodontia is the go-to place in Brooklyn for transforming smiles thanks to a dedication to individualized care and an emphasis on attaining the best results.
Braces are orthodontic appliances used to correct dental misalignments and irregularities. They consist of a system of brackets, wires, and elastic bands that work together to gradually move the teeth into proper alignment. An orthodontic glue is used to attach the brackets, which are normally constructed of metal or ceramic, to the front surfaces of the teeth. The wires, which are frequently constructed of metal and strung through the brackets, are in charge of gently pressing the teeth. This pressure causes the teeth to move into the proper places over time as the wires are adjusted and tightened
Benefits of Braces
Improved Oral Health: Braces assist in properly aligning teeth, making them easier to clean and lowering the risk of oral health problems including tooth decay and gum disease.
Enhanced Aesthetics: Braces can straighten out crooked or mismatched teeth, improving your appearance and boosting your self-assurance.
Better Bite Alignment: Braces can correct bite issues such overbite, underbite, crossbite, or open bite, which improves chewing efficiency and lessens jaw pain.
Speech Improvement: Teeth misalignment can impact speech patterns, and braces can help to address these problems, resulting in crisper and more certain speech.
Reduced Risk of Dental Trauma: Teeth that are protruding or out of alignment are more likely to sustain dental wounds. By realigning teeth, braces can lessen the possibility of damaging the teeth and their surrounding structures.
Preventing Excessive Wear: When teeth are out of alignment, the uneven distribution of biting forces can cause excessive wear. Braces can help straighten the teeth, which will lessen wear and prolong their life.
Improved Self-Esteem: A straight, attractive grin can increase self-esteem, improve social relationships, and increase general self-assurance.

What Are The Crucial Things You Need To Know About Tooth Extraction?
Only one dental procedure can treat infections, severe tooth decay, wisdom teeth, and crowded growth. Removing a tooth may sound excruciatingly unpleasant, but it is required to stop the disease from worsening. Delaying or avoiding treatment increases the chance that more good teeth will get infected and may need to be pulled before falling out.
When there is no other choice than to have the tooth extracted, that is the last resort. It's a crucial initial step for anyone who needs to lose a tooth or two to create a way for braces, aside from preventing further dental decay or bone loss in the jaws.
A dental extraction could be necessary for individuals receiving chemotherapy, an organ transplant, or other treatments because oral health is correlated with overall health. Continue reading the article to learn about the tooth extraction process.
What is the process of tooth extraction?
A licensed dentist or oral surgeon performs tooth dental extractions near me like any other dental procedure. Modern medicine has made it possible to be an outpatient treatment that can be completed quickly and painlessly under local, general, or IV anesthesia.
But remember that broken, impacted, or misaligned teeth developing below the gum line may need a more intrusive operation to correct; only rotten, diseased, or crowded teeth should be extracted.
What are the ways followed in the process of tooth extraction?
Here are the ways the dentist follows from getting through the teeth extraction process.
Easy Extraction
The area will be numbed with the help of a local anesthetic. You'll only experience a little pressure and no pain during the procedure. Teeth extractions near me will remove the tooth using forceps after removing it from its socket using an elevator.
Operative Extraction
If you have any pre-existing conditions, studio smile orthodontics may use a mix of local and IV anesthesia to numb the area and put you to sleep. After carefully administering these, your dentist or oral surgeon will make a small incision in the affected gums. They may remove any surrounding bone or cut the tooth to extract it if necessary.
Does any risk involved in the procedure of tooth extraction?
These dental offices in manhattan ny perform surgery that is typically safe and efficient because it is frequently used to treat teeth that are decaying, diseased, or impacted. You can feel confident knowing that the likelihood of complications is relatively low because dentists and oral surgeons have been performing this procedure for a while. It is typical for a blood clot to develop in the socket where the problematic tooth was pulled, encouraging quick recovery and healing. A dry socket is one in which a clot either doesn't form or is released, exposing the bone within the socket. As soon as this occurs, call your dentist so they can apply a dressing to the exposed area to aid in the formation of a new blood clot.
If you encounter bleeding lasting more than 12 hours, fever and chills, nausea or vomiting, cough, chest pain and shortness of breath, swelling or redness, or any other symptoms, you should call your dentist right once. These point to an infection or complication that requires immediate medical attention.
Conclusion :
At the end of this article, we advise that on the day of the procedure, you should avoid drinking, smoking, or eating before 6 to 8 hours of operation or extraction. You should be comfortable in the attire that you are wearing, as this might make you feel more relaxed and be in your comfort zone at the time of the tooth extraction. Now, after the procedure, follow the precautions as the orthodontist near me suggests and take the medicines as prescribed so that the pain, swelling, or maybe redness won't occur.

Common dental clinic services:
Dental clinics offer a wide range of services to help you maintain good oral health. Here are some of the common dental services that you can expect to find at a dental clinic:
1. Cleanings & Check-ups:
Regular cleanings and check-ups are important for maintaining good oral health. During a cleaning, a dental hygienist will remove plaque and tartar from your teeth and gums. A dentist will then examine your teeth and gums to check for any problems such as cavities or gum disease.
2. Fillings:
If you have a cavity, a filling can be used to repair the damaged tooth. Fillings are made of materials such as amalgam (a mixture of metals), composite (a mixture of glass and plastic), or gold. The type of filling used will depend on the location of the cavity and your preferences.
3. Extractions:
If you have a tooth that is severely damaged or infected, it may need to be extracted. This is a common procedure that is usually performed by a dentist. After the tooth is removed, you may need to have a replacement, such as a bridge or implant, to fill the gap.
4. Dental Implants:
Dental implants are used to replace missing teeth. They are made of a small titanium post that is surgically placed in the jawbone, and a crown (artificial tooth) that is attached to the post. Dental implants can be used to replace a single tooth or a full set of teeth.
5. Cosmetic Braces:
If you have crooked or misaligned teeth, cosmetic braces may be an option to straighten them. Cosmetic braces are similar to traditional braces, but they are made of clear materials and are less visible. They can be used to improve the appearance of your teeth and help to prevent dental problems in the future.
6. Teeth Whitening:
If you have yellow or discolored teeth, teeth whitening may be an option to improve the appearance of your smile. This can be done in-office or at home with a take-home kit.
7. Pediatric Dentistry:
Pediatric dentistry is a specialty that focuses on the dental care of children. Pediatric dentists are trained to work with children and have a gentle touch to make sure that their dental visits are comfortable and stress-free.
8. Emergency Dentistry:
Dental emergencies, such as a toothache or a knocked-out tooth, can be frightening and painful. Emergency dentistry services are available to help you get the care you need as soon as possible.
9. Invisalign:
Invisalign is a clear aligner system that is used to straighten teeth. It is an alternative to traditional braces and is almost invisible when worn.
10. Cavities:
Cavities are small holes in the teeth that are caused by decay. They can be treated with fillings or crowns, depending on the severity of the cavity.
11. Wisdom Teeth Extraction:
Wisdom teeth, also known as third molars, are the last teeth to come in and can sometimes cause problems if they do not have enough room to come in properly. If this is the case, they may need to be extracted.
12. Crowns:
Crowns are used to cover damaged or discolored teeth. They can be made of materials such as porcelain, metal, or a combination of both. Crowns are custom-made to fit your teeth and are usually used to restore a tooth to its normal shape and function.
13. Orthodontic Treatment:
Orthodontic treatment is used to straighten and align teeth. This can be done using traditional braces or clear aligners. Orthodontic treatment can improve the appearance of your teeth and help to prevent dental problems in the future.
14. Root Canals:
If the nerve of a tooth becomes infected, a root canal may be necessary to remove the infection and save the tooth. During a root canal, the infected tissue is removed and the tooth is sealed to prevent further infection.
15. Dentures:
Dentures are removable replacements for missing teeth. They can be used to replace a full set of teeth or just a few missing teeth. Dentures can be made of acrylic or a combination of acrylic and metal.
16. Veneers:
Veneers are thin shells that are placed on the front of your teeth to improve their appearance. They can be used to cover up stains, chips, or gaps between teeth. Veneers are made of porcelain or composite material and are custom-made to fit your teeth.

My Smile Journey with SmileDirectClub—Part 1
If you guys follow me on Instagram you know that a few weeks ago I attended a media event for SmileDirectClub here in the city. The event was officially about how SDC (sorry it’s just too much to keep writing the whole name and this is going to be a long-ish post) is a great option for brides (and grooms!) who want to have the perfect smile when they walk down the aisle. And I actually do agree with this as your engagement period is a time when you’re the center of attention and everyone’s going to be taking your picture.
Anywho, at the event SDC offered complimentary teeth whitening and (most importantly) complimentary teeth straightening. I would have gone to this event anyway, but for sure, the offer of complimentary straightening made it a “must-attend” for me. So, as of May 28th, I began my smile journey! But how did we get here?
The backstory
So, I never had braces as a kid. For the most part, I had a great smile. And literally I just dug through old photos of me from high school and college. I had a great smile with no gaps.
But somewhere in my mid 20s, it feels like my teeth began shifting. When I look back at some of my early photos on Facebook from when I was 26/27, I can see a tell tale gap specifically between my upper two front teeth. And those gaps weren’t there in my pics from my late teens through 20/21. And as a result, I stopped smiling widely in pictures. Or, if I did, I purposely angled myself so you couldn’t get a straight-on look at me—or my gap.
Meanwhile, no one ever told me “hey your teeth need help”. In fact, most people tell me that I have a great smile. Even when I was at the SDC event this month, all the in-house PR team members kept telling me how great my smile looked! But I felt self-conscious about it, and I wanted to do something.
The process for getting aligners
More than likely, if you’re reading this article this intently, you’ve considered getting your teeth fixed. And maybe you’re thinking of trying SDC because the idea of traditional braces is unappealing once you’re out of high school, or because traditional Invisalign is just too pricey. So, more than likely, you know the general process and you don’t need me to go into ridiculous detail. So the quick and short of it is:
1. Tuesday, May 14th I had my smile scan done at SDC’s Flatiron location in Manhattan (which is where the event took place). It’s a really painless process that literally takes no more than 15 to 20 minutes.
**If you’re debating between doing your own impressions at home or having their staff do a 3D scan of your teeth, I highly recommend that you get the scan (if there’s a location close enough to you).** This is mainly because there are a lot of things you could do wrong with the impression kit which could delay your treatment and drag out the preliminary process. Meanwhile, their scanning staff are pros and know exactly what angles to take to ensure that they’ve recorded every surface of your tooth for accurate readings.
2. 72 hours later (Friday, May 17th) I received an email with details on my potential smile. This is standard protocol if you get the smile scan. I can’t speak on timelines for people who do their own impressions. So, you’ll receive an email that links to a 3D progression of your smile showing it from your current situation to the final goal. You look it over and approve or reject and request corrections. I liked what I saw, so I approved my smile and SDC began printing my aligners.
3. A week and a half later, on May 28th my aligners arrived. Now normally SDC says that it takes 3 to 4 weeks to receive your aligners. I suspect I (and any other influencer/media member who attended the press event) got mine quickly because of the fact I was at a press event. So, don’t get cranky if yours take the standard time frame.
4. That evening on the 28th, I began wearing my aligners.
First impressions
Before I even attended the SDC event and while I waited for my aligners to arrive, I did a lot of sleuthing to see people’s feedback and reactions to wearing aligners. And while some people had bad experiences, on the whole, most people were really happy with them and offered tips to make their wearing experience as easy as possible. My smile plan has me completing my aligners by November 12th, although I’ll have my desired smile by my bday (Oct. 31).
So far, I’m on my second full day of wearing aligners on my Week 1 trays. With that in mind, here are my thoughts and a few tips I’ve learned so far:
1. SDC and most reviewers recommend you start trays in the evening. DO IT. I started Week 1 around 10 or 11PM at night. Even though I’m a night owl and was still up for a few more hours, I was able to sleep through the worst of the discomfort. It’s not that the trays or painful, but there’s serious pressure being put on your teeth. And after a while, it’ll make your mouth sore. So, if you can sleep through that, you’d rather do that.
2. No matter whether you go with SDC, Invisalign or one of the other teledentistry competitiors, you’re inevitably going to come across an aligner tray that needs minor tweaking. My first set of trays were a little sharp on the edges. So, I opted to use an emery board to smooth them so it wouldn’t cut the inside of my mouth or my gums. But even after doing that, on my lower tray, I still had a rough edge that kept scraping the bottom of my tongue. I literally went out the other night at like 10PM and bought orthodontic wax to help cover those edges.
3. Use the outie tool. When you get your aligners, it’s actually a large box full of everything you need: all of your aligners, an outie tool, chewies, lip balm, a spacer for your mid-treatment pics, an aligner holder, and bright-on teeth whiteners. While I didn’t need the chewies for this set of trays, I use the outie religiously. A common complaint with aligners is that they’re impossible to remove by hand without damaging the trays. But if you use the outie tool, your aligners pop out easily without scraping your gums or damaging the tray.
4. I’m beginning to embrace the “aligner diet”. I swear I didn’t look at SDC as a means to a weight loss ends. But it’s a real thing and I can see why. I’m only on day 3 of my 167 day journey but the prep and process it takes to get these aligners in makes you genuinely rethink how badly you want to eat. In total you’re supposed to wear your aligners for 22 hours per day. That leaves you 2 hours to eat or drink anything other than water.
Even if you only eat 3 times a day, that’s roughly 40 minutes for you to eat and then prep to get your aligners back in your mouth. And prep includes brushing and thoroughly flossing your teeth plus rinsing your aligners. While brushing and flossing this frequently isn’t the end of the world, you suddenly have no desire to randomly snack if you have to go through this process...EVERY...TIME. On the bright side, I have about 10 pounds of pregnancy weight that might end up volunteering as tribute to my new smile.
5. After a while, you prefer to keep your aligners IN. Aside from eating and drinking, I prefer to have my aligners in my mouth. Within the first 12 hours, I got used to the pressure the aligners put on my teeth. So much so, that when I removed my aligners to eat breakfast, my mouth felt funny and uncomfortable. My teeth don’t feel sensitive IN my aligners, but when I take them off, they feel fragile. I know that they’re not, but it’s how it feels.
6. Embrace softer foods in the beginning. As I’m still in Week 1, my mouth is still a little tender. So, I’m not out here trying to eat corn on the cob or bite into fresh apples. On my first day, my first meal was a bowl of soup. I’m not saying you can’t enjoy anything solid, but maybe go for foods that don’t require you to bite down hard for the first week or two.
7. I can tell which teeth are being moved. With my smile plan, only my front 12 teeth (6 top and 6 bottom) are being moved. So, the back of my mouth isn’t going to have any change at all. Right now with Week 1 it feels like my front right teeth are being shifted since they’re feeling the most pressure.
So, that’s the lowdown on how I’m doing with my aligners so far. I’ll post a video in a bit which goes into more detail on how the experience has been to start. And I’ll be checking in on a monthly basis until my smile journey is complete this Fall!

If you encounter bleeding lasting more than 12 hours, fever and chills, nausea or vomiting, cough, chest pain and shortness of breath, swelling or redness, or any other symptoms, you should call your dentist right once. These point to an infection or complication that requires immediate medical attention.

Am I Too Old For Braces?
Let’s face it; everyone wants that beautiful smile that you can confidently show off in public. However, many people think their journey to getting that perfect smile is out of reach because they think they are too old for braces. But, that’s not the case since orthodontic treatment isn’t just for kids. In fact, more than one million adults in the US wear braces, and the number continues to grow each year.
If you have some form of malocclusions, orthodontic treatment is still a viable option regardless of your age. As an adult, you can have your teeth straightened and aligned using braces to improve your smile and boost confidence. Here’s everything you need to know about correcting orthodontic problems with braces as an adult:
Can adults get braces in Manhattan?
Braces are usually relatively fast and effective at correcting teeth alignment issues in childhood due to the softer bones. However, braces in Manhattan are suitable for any age range. So, as an adult with alignment problems, you can also be a potential candidate for braces in Manhattan. But to get braces as an adult, most orthodontists recommend you to have jawbones. Wearing braces with an unhealthy jaw bone or gum inflammation can easily lead to gum disease, severe jaw disorders, or tooth decay.
How does the adult braces process work?
Braces work by exerting pressure on your teeth, which helps move the teeth into their correct position. The best thing is that braces can straighten teeth even after jawbones have stopped growing since teeth still continue to move even as we age. However, braces usually take longer to straighten teeth for adults since their bones are fully developed and more solid.
What are my braces options as an adult? (types of braces)
For most adults, the thought of spending years on end with a mouthful of metal can easily discourage them from receiving the treatment. However, advances in orthodontics plus modern technology have led to more effective and efficient ways to straighten and align teeth using braces.
Today’s braces are almost invisible, lighter, and gradually adjust your teeth into their rightful position faster and with less discomfort. Some common types of braces available for adults with dental problems include;
Lingual braces—These types of braces in Manhattan work just like traditional metal braces but are usually cemented on the back of your teeth. This makes them nearly invisible when you’re wearing them.
· Clear Aligners—With clear aligners, like Invisalign, you wear each set of braces for several weeks before swapping with a new set, allowing your teeth to move according to the set plan.
· Traditional metal braces- These braces are usually the most affordable. They are also effective at treating various orthodontic issues. The braces are typically cemented to the front of your teeth and attached using wires.
· Ceramic braces – These are made of a translucent material and are usually worn on the front of the teeth.
While there are many types of braces to choose from, not all may be great for your orthodontic problem, so it’s always best to discuss your options with your orthodontist. This will help ensure you wear the right braces for your specific case and needs.
Why Get Braces as an Adult?
While children and teens are often considered the best candidates for braces in Manhattan, there are numerous reasons you might also want to receive orthodontic treatment as an adult. Some of the top reasons you may consider getting braces as an adult include;
· Improved Appearance and Self-Confidence
Most adults don’t like how their teeth look and often prefer wearing braces to make their teeth straight and properly aligned. By realigning your teeth, you improve the look of your smile and, in turn, make you appear more attractive. Braces also help give you a more youthful appearance by tightening your skin and lifting your upper lip. This makes you feel more confident with your appearance, boosting your self-esteem.
· Improved Oral Hygiene and Overall Health
Having crooked teeth or overcrowded teeth can not only make your smile unattractive but also increase your risk of developing periodontal problems such as gingivitis and gum disease. That’s mainly because crooked and overlapping teeth make it difficult to brush and floss your teeth properly, encouraging plaque build-up and tooth decay. Wearing braces as an adult treats common orthodontic problems and helps straighten and realign your teeth, making it easier for you to observe good oral hygiene and significantly reduce health risks.
· Resolve Jaw Issues
Adults suffering from jaw disorders like temporomandibular joint (TMJ), often experience pain and dysfunction with their jaw muscles and joints. Misaligned jaws also contribute to faster tooth wear, headaches, chewing difficulties, and speech impediments. This is probably one of the most compelling reasons why many adults get braces. Braces help better align the jaw, relieve muscle pain and headaches, improve speech, and make speaking more comfortable.
Factors that can affect braces in Manhattan
Several factors can affect the effectiveness of braces in treating orthodontic problems for adults. These factors include;
· Fully Developed Teeth and Tissue
Adults usually have more rigid mouth bones and gum tissues that support the teeth in position. You may also experience gradual bone loss as you age, which could affect the effectiveness of braces in treating your orthodontic problems. This could also increase the length of time you’ll need to wear braces or even require surgery before you use braces. However, since the jaws and teeth of children are still developing, the softer tissues and teeth make it easier to correct orthodontic issues using braces.
·Tooth Wear and Deformities
An adult’s teeth are more likely to be worn and deformed due to biting and chewing over the years. Combined with misalignment, the length of time required to correct your orthodontic issues using braces significantly increases. On the other hand, children’s teeth usually haven’t undergone extensive wear or become deformed, making orthodontic treatment using braces faster and more effective.
· Treatment Results Differ
Also, you may not get accurate results when fixing orthodontic issues with braces due to extensive tooth wear, bone loss, teeth distortion, and more. For instance, if you have an overbite, you may not achieve a perfect bite. Instead, you’ll get a bite that makes chewing and moving your jaws painless and more comfortable for you.
· Tooth Extraction Issues and Previous Orthodontic Work
Most adults have had several of their teeth removed in the past, which could present a major issue for your orthodontist. Also, if you’ve had other dental procedures previously, it could affect the type of treatment method used by your orthodontist and the length of your treatment period.
Conclusion: You are not too old for braces!
Braces are not meant only for teens and children. You still can get that perfect smile you’ve always wanted with braces at any age. Don’t allow the fear of your age to keep you from correcting your bite and teeth.

What can affect how well Invisalign works?
For Invisalign to work effectively, it’s important to wear the aligners for 20 to 22 hours per day.
The only time you’re supposed to remove the aligners is when you’re:
eating or drinking
brushing or flossing your teeth
cleaning your aligners
You need to be careful when cleaning your aligners. If you use very hot water, it could warp the plastic. This can alter the fit, and affect your progress and the effectiveness of the aligners.
The complexity of your orthodontic issues may also affect how well Invisalign works for you. It may take longer for this treatment to work if you’re dealing with more complex spacing or bite issues.
According to the study, the rate of movement of your teeth increases slightly from ages 35 to 50. This means Invisalign may be more effective for this age group.
Get an outstanding treatment of Invisalign with Manhattan Beach dental care and bid farewell to your dental issues.
