How Hawks Falls in Love

author's note: is tumblr still alive? I've been wanting to write this out for a long time since I caught up with the mha manga. There are some imagines that I would love to share if I have time 😭

warnings: grammar errors(?), it's fluff! A comfort fic!

Despite his friendly nature and his popularity among fans, he finds it hard to let people inside his heart due to his past

But when Hawks falls in love, he tends to approach it with a logical mindset

What is this anxious feeling that he feels when he's with you? Why does his heart race when he thinks about doing something with you?

Maybe it's acid reflux because he had coffee, maybe it's because of the caffeine

But Hawks isn't all that blind about love

It is the common symptoms of falling in love when you experience a racing heart and butterflies in the stomach whenever you think about that special person

But it took Hawks a while to admit that he's actually falling in love

Shit... He cursed inside when he felt a pound in the heart after talking to you

That's when he realized...

Yes, he's falling in love

It took him a while, now that he has admitted it, nothing is different in the way he treats you actually

It's the same friendly manner

It really took him a while

He takes the most careful approach to his newfound profound feelings

Does he want to date you? Or will he dismiss it as just a simple crush? Those options are a never-ending dilemma that runs through his thoughts every time

"Do you have someone you like?"

He took the opportunity to ask when the moment was right

"Yes" you replied

He considered your 'yes' and 'no' before. If there were someone else that you like, he would likely decide to move on and dismiss it as just a one-sided crush

Although he'll most likely still likes you in secret

But you replied with a yes, that turns out to be a confession

And oh how he realized how love-starved he was

The act of love is unusual to him, since he grew up in an unloving household during childhood

But he didn't hate it, it was what he needed

How safe he felt with you whenever you held him in your arms, how relieved he was when he burried his head into your neck, it's a peace haven for him

You're now his home

One he always dreams of having

He swore he would protect you from all harms, to cherish and support you in every joy and challenge that life brings, to laugh with you in times of joy, and to provide solace in times of sorrow.

He pledge to love and honor you, to respect and cherish you, for all the days of your lives

STORY SETTING of YOU CAN'T, CAN YOU?

Behind the scene - Location

Disclaimer! I'm not an architect or an engineer, I don't have any idea on how to scale the picture with the real thing 😭, I just make this based on my imagination here since this is an imagine series 😃 you don't have/need to follow this format (?) if you don't want to, I made this just to have fun and practice my floorplan making for future study.

1. Fushiguro's and Y/N's shared apartment

Note: this is how I would imagine their apartment would be, black being doors.

2. The Campus

Note: this place, the campus, was mentioned a lot in the story so I figured why not make this (for fun!).

The empty square next to the main building is the school's cafeteria! I forgot to type it in ಥ_ಥ

The lobby area/entrance is the black half circle! Library is at building 4. I would imagine that the campus has 3-5 floors at least🤔

3. The Area

Do you ever feel like you went from being a prodigy as a child (sort of) to being the family's disappointment? 🤡

Let Law comfort you!

Author's note: Law is such my comfort character whenever I feel down or sad I like to imagine how he would comfort me in my head ಥ_ಥ honestly having a comfort character when you have no one to share your sadness with is helping A LOT, I might be delusional but it feels as if I'm sharing a connection and sharing my problems to him. So here's a comfort fluff fic with Law!

Whenever you rant about your bad day to him, he's always listening. Even though he always puts on his usual cold serious expression, you could see a hint of concern and tenderness in his eyes and the way he tensed his shoulder a bit because he's thinking of what to say, even though he's not good with comfort words, he's trying to stitch up the right words that might be able to comfort you.

The way he lets you finish ranting and his hint of nervousness because he doesn't know how to offer comfort yet his presence has already offered a comfort to you. If you feel like asking him whether you can hug him or not, he's always welcome with open arms. He lets you cry on his shoulder until you're feeling ok without questioning anything unless it's needed to.

If you didn't say anything and you were just feeling gloomy that day, he'll notice though he won't question anything. He'll wait for you to be comfortable to open up. He'll just remind you to eat/sleep well or offer you a light snack without saying anything. And if needed, he'll sit near you pretending to read when actually he's keeping you company if you're feeling lonely. He'll ask the members if they knew what has been keeping you uneasy.

He may not show it but deeply he cares a lot. He cares about you a lot through his subtle actions just because he's not comfortable with showing big affection in front of others. But when you're alone, he'll cuddle with you if you asked. It may not seem like in character of him but once he has opened up to you and cares a lot about you, you'll know. He might hesitates at first but he won't say no to your cuddle request if you're having a bad day. Just makes sure you ask him in private if you really need some cuddles to charge your energy up.

Monkey D. Luffy:

Tbh I think this man doesn't really have a certain type he specifically like, as long as that person is a kind person

They can be shy or introverted or they can be very active or extroverted, they can be a serious type person or a playful type, he doesn't care, he also doesn't have a body type he prefers

Except if you're the type to torture a child do harm or evil to other people (intentionally) that, he hates.

Someone who puts other people first, selfless people is what he likes

Well, as long as he finds you interesting that catches his attention

Bonus points if you can cook and understand him that he is a person that needs to be free

Like, you don't limit your partner to not do this or do that

Take care of him like a mom, he'll cherish you like his nakama

Portgas D. Ace:

Just like Luffy, he only cares if the person is a kind person

But more specific, if that person is kind to him

But you can't treat ONLY him with your kindness, you also have to be kind to others that he considers important people to him.

But boi if you treat him just a little kinder, paying a little more attention to him than everyone else, his feelings will start to bubble up like soda pop

Why are there so many buts

For example asking him if he has eaten yet, or remind that he should take care of himself more and wrapping a scarf when it's cold out, plus points if Marco's around but you don't do that to Marco, treating him a bit more special y'know

If we're going to a body type wise, I think he would lean more towards curvy and chubby type person because they're cuter in his opinion

But he doesn't really care much about physical appearance tho

He longed for physical and emotional love and if you can give that to him, he's a smitten man

Sabo's and Law's are under the cut!

Sabo:

Kindness is an important aspect but I think this guy is more picky and has a more specific type than his brothers

If the person is smarter than him, can execute plans or assignments cleanly, he would be: "damn, I'm impressed"

This man doesn't care about physical appearance too

But this man has a certain kink liking for thigh belts is it called a thigh belt? Yeah I think it's thigh belt

He finds that hot so if you can pull it off, he'll be simping in no time

He'll like a straightforward person more than anything, he hates people that likes to beat around the bush

A person that is aware of their surroundings and knows how to read the situation/atmosphere is good for him too

For example, if he's in his playful, silly goofy mood, you can match him and be playful as well. He likes it when you can match his vibes

Is selfless but takes care of their own self too, also is a badass

Trafalgar D. Water Law:

This man is picky when it comes to personality, let me tell you

Body type wise, doesn't really care, as long you're in a healthy shape because of health reasons. (he's a doctor so)

His type of person has to be rational, calm and collected most of the time

He doesn't like an overtalkative person, because he thinks it's annoying to talk, let alone too much talking

I think he's into glasses, he kinda has a type towards glasses (because they make you look smart and all)

Someone who is mature, good in public speaking, knows their own self (Oof- Law, that's a LOT to keep up to y'know)

But they don't need to be "perfect" all the time, he's ok if you break the calm and cool demeanor/persona of yours

He might find people with tattoos on the their nape or just cool tattoos in general (somewhere he can see) attractive

Bonus points if that person can connect with him in terms on medical matters or on a deeper level

One Piece Highschool AU!

A Headcanon for One Piece Highschool AU I have featuring Ace and Law

Status on hold, I might drop this bcs I kinda lost interest to it I'm sorry

Summary! Y/N was invited to join a national science competition and will be grouped up with the top student guy, Trafalgar Law and the first-year student, Tony Tony Chopper. They'll work together as a team for 6 months to make a research and win the competition. On the other hand, Ace, who has been best friends with Y/N since middle school, is slowly realizing his feelings towards a Y/N. How will the scene play out? Is Y/N going to fall for either of them?

Modern plot, highschool AU, headcanon type, it should be gn! reader but if I made a mistake by using she/her pronouns during the story, forgive me ಥ_ಥ

Characters' ages are different from the original to fit the story.

PART 1. ACE'S CIRCLE

The characters involved are Y/N, Ace, Sabo, and Koala

Y/N:

YOU!! Y/N! ARE THE MAIN CHARACTER!

Ok but in this story you have an older brother we'll talk about him later

The "mom" of the group aka the one who takes care of the children aka Ace, Sabo, Koala

Y/N always go to the library to study so you have a smart top student image

Sorry but Y/N has a sort of trauma about competing in a competition

You, Ace, and Sabo are actually friends since middle school

You have a soft spot for Ace because you are protective of him since he was bullied back in middle school

Oh and you guys are in second year of high school (I use asian school system in this one, specifically Japan's)

Ace:

He's the male lead I think,, because there's Law and I'm torn between making him or Law the first male lead

A literal sunshine, he's basically the extroverted golden retriever guy at school but clumsy and a bit chaotic

He has his own house inherited from his parents, he's an orphan btw

His dad, Gol D. Roger, was a criminal so he was bullied a lot when he was a kid because of his father🤡

That's why he has insecurities issues and stuff

His mom died of sickness after giving birth to him (this is canon in the story btw) that's why he lived with Garp

But Garp kicked them out in the last year of middle school Grandpa Garp said they are taking too much space need to man up and it was almost high school

He lives alone now in his inherited house but crashes at Marco's most of the time

Sabo:

Rich boy but ran away from home when he was a kid, that's why he ended up living with Garp (also canon)

That's why Ace, Sabo, and Luffy here are adopted brothers (also canon)

Since Garp kicked the three out, he's currently living with Ivankov in an apartment (Ivankov is one of Monkey D. Dragon's comrades in OP)

He's one of the prep-jock students but can be childish because he likes to play pranks sometimes

Out of the three (Ace, Sabo, Koala), you think he's the most reliable one

Sabo thinks you're superb because you're able to handle all 3 of them at the same time, since he knew their combo is HELLA chaotic

People look up to him because he's the class rep

Koala:

The friendly bubbly girl at school

Not exactly an extrovert but many people like to rely on her because she's easy going

Isn't friends with you, Ace, and Sabo from middle school but close in the first year of high school until now

She can be clumsy and chaotic sometimes

You, Ace, and Sabo usually crashes at Koala's and have mini best friend sleepovers sessions

You guys watch horror movies and TV series a lot at Koala's

Koala helps Sabo with class stuff because she's the class' vice rep

PART 2. TRAFALGAR LAW'S CIRCLE

The characters involved are Law, Ei, Ikkaku, Bepo, Penguin and Shachi

Trafalgar Law:

He's the second lead male, or first? Idk, either Ace or him

He's the school top student because he's so smart and all

Won many competition awards, especially in biology, well, mostly science stuff

The quiet but also intimidating nerd guy

Who is also very emo and he secretly fanboys over germa 66, a comic book in this universe like how we fan over one piece

He spends most of his time in the school's library to study, usually after school

He's secretly very rich because his family owns a hospital but he lives away from his family

Miou Aida as Ei:

So, Ei, is a character I made up for the sake of the story, I cast Miou Aida as the " actor"

If you don't know who Miou Aida is, she's a character from honeyworks, credit to honeyworks, specifically the main heroine of Itsu Datte Bokura no Koi wa 10 Centi Datta (I edited her eye color a bit to match my liking)

She have a soft and shy personality to her (the original Miou Aida) and I'll keep some of that elements to Ei as well

Ei has a crush on Law since the first year of high school, because they were in the same class

Law doesn't have feelings for her, he knew that she likes him but he doesn't care at all ouch

And yes, Ei will be your love rival🤼‍♂️

Ikkaku:

In case you don't know who she is, she's one of Law's crew member (canon) and I think she's the only female in the crew

She doesn't really play an important role in this story but she's close with Law's friends and is best friend with this Ei

She's very sassy but in a good way, she's basically a queen

Bepo, Penguin, Shachi:

The main trio of the heart pirates, you know them

They are very loud and friendly with people

It's like they adopted the introverted Law to their friend group, you know the meme where in a friend group there's this introvert who is adopted by their extrovert friends into their friend group? Yeah that's them

Shachi and Penguin are close with Ace and Sabo as well because the four of them are in the soccer club

Bepo is closer to Koala because they're both in the journaling club

PART 3. MAIN STORY

Character involved are Marco, Ace, Y/N, Law, Chopper, Robin, Franky, Eustass, and Lycus. I'll discuss the important characters first.

Marco:

We'll start from Marco over here, at the top, he's a teacher at one piece high

He's the biology teacher and he used to be a doctor in the army

He's living right next to Ace's house and Ace comes to his house to sleep most of the time

He babysits Ace basically, he knew the boy needs care so yeah, he sometimes bring him to pops aka whitebeard back in his hometown and pops loves Ace

He's an uncle or a big brother figure to Ace

He's also a mentor to the students who are preparing for a competition

And in this case, Y/N, Chopper, and Law who are preparing for a national science competition

Chopper:

You know him, the cute reindeer doctor from mugiwara pirates

Well, in this case a human? It's up to you

He's actually in the first year and he's an acceleration student, so he's very smart

Very innocent and adorable and doesn't know much about the big wide world 😭🤛 this boy needs protection

He's actually best friends with Luffy anf Usopp because they're in the same class together in first year

Good friends with Robin and Franky who are in the third year of high school because they were competing in a lot of competitions

He's lowkey scared of Law because he sort of intimidates him but he also looks up to him

Adult form Hitsugaya Toshiro as Lycus:

This is... Your big brother, I'm sorry ಥ_ಥ

Hitsugaya Toshiro is a character from the anime Bleach, credit to Bleach and Tite Kubo

I casted Hitsugaya Toshiro because I imagine Lycus has this white silverish hair and has this cold looks

But he's actually really playful (Lycus)

And fucking smart, he's a genius, a young prodigy (I mean, Hitsugaya Toshiro is also a child prodigy)

Lycus was mentored by Marco once and he created a new science formula or a new proven theory and basically won the entire world 🤡 that's how smart he is, sort of like enstein or senku from Dr. Stone

No, yeah he's actually adopted but both of you grew up together and somehow his intelligence affected you and now you're also almost equally smart👊

Oh you live in the same house as Lycus and you both live in the same neighborhood as Ace and Marco

So you three used to play together at Marco's when you're in middle school, specifically the last year of mid school

Oh and Lycus is in college now, he got a scholarship like the smart man he is 🙏

Robin:

A third year high school student

She's very good at history so she compete in a lot of history quiz competitions and won plenty

She'll be involved for some time later as the story progressed so I think I should let you know

Oh, and she has many fangirls and fanboys. Koala is one of them

She's a role model at school

Franky:

Also a third year high school student

He's into mechanics and robotics and stuff so his field is in the robotics science

Won a lot of robot making contest and many tech companies contacted him

He'll be in the same science competition as you, with Eustass Kid, but in the different category. We'll get into the story later

Eustass Kid:

Good acquaintes with Law, he's in the second year of high school, was Law's middle school friend

Also interested in robotics and mechanics so he look up to Franky in this AU

Competed in some robotics contests but only won one so now he's with Franky, hopefully he win because the prize for the national science competition you guys are in is HUGE with tons of benefits

Yeah and that's basically the base characters I cover for this series :D To give you some information on the story. I might add more characters that aren't mention here but that's because they won't be involved as much as these guys. Happy reading!

One Piece High school AU part 1

Author's note: Remember this? I was going to make this a series but considering how busy I am irl because of my studies and all, I decided to drop this, I'm so sorry guys ಥ_ಥ I also kinda lost interest in the plot since it's kinda boring in my opinion when I re-read the episodes I have written, it's kinda long since I intended it to be a slow burn for Law, you and Ace. And I don't have the time to upload and I don't like my work to hang "unfinished". And so again I am sorry for dropping this series but I'll provide a plot summary on what happened in this series. Enjoy!

So what happened between you, Ace, and Law?

Oh here's the relationship between the characters if you haven't seen it yet (tap the underlined words)

Summary! Y/N was invited to join a national science competition and will be grouped up with the top student guy, Trafalgar Law and the first-year student, Tony Tony Chopper. They'll work together as a team for 6 months to make a research and win the competition. On the other hand, Ace, who has been best friends with Y/N since middle school, is slowly realizing his feelings towards a Y/N. How will the scene play out? Is Y/N going to fall for either of them?

Disclaimer! I do not own any of the characters except for a few that I'll be introducing later. All of the One Piece characters belong to Eiichiro Oda as the creator of One Piece. I only own the story plot/headcanons of this work of fiction.

Modern plot, highschool AU, headcanon type, it should be gn! reader but if I made a mistake by using she/her pronouns during the story, forgive me ಥ_ಥCharacters' ages are different from the original to fit the story.

Ok so first of all, I'm going to divide this into sections and I might make a part 2 if I feel like this is too long

I'll explain the plot based on the timeline

I feel like I should start with Law, since you and him sort of have something going on before all of this

Before the competition, you and Law sort of know each other as the "person who often comes to the library to study"

You guys sort of see each other like "oh, this person goes to the library a lot, I've seen them dozens of time"

You guys usually sit close to each other in the library not on purpose but naturally

But you guys never talked to each other, just quietly observing

As for Ace, well he's been friends with you since middle school but he never really saw you as someone more than friends

You're just like his sibling to him and there was no physical attraction whatsoever

At least that was what he thought everytime he's with you

It stays that way until someone teased him about you and him being together that he starts to be aware of his feelings

So for the competition, it's a team competition and your team consists of Law and Chopper

At this point, there was a one-sided misunderstanding between you and Law

I should tell you now that your (adopted) brother, Lycus, likes to pick you up from school

And one time, after you guys had your briefing with Marco and were about to go home, Lycus was waiting outside of school, in a motorcycle (he gives me hot brother sort of vibes, and remember that adult Hitsugaya Toshiro is casted as Lycus)

You walked ahead and Lycus patted your head before giving you a helmet

So Law, who didn't know you two were siblings, thought you were dating

It's not until Shachi pointed it out that you are the sibling of the infamous nobel prize winner who came from our school, Lycus

You and Law haven't developed into crushes yet, just tiny attraction since you guys will see each other a lot

Meanwhile, Ace's feelings started to bubble up from that one time you gave him a clip

You saw his hair was growing a bit longer up front and you gave him a clip to clip his hair up so it doesn't get into his face

Ace didn't know how to use a clip so you did it for him

Somehow, letting you ruffling his hair and clipping it on place made his heart flutter for some reason

It's because it feels like being patted on the head

Going back to Law, one weekend, you went to the bookstore to check out some books that you like

One of them was the new germa 66 series that just came out

Guess who you met

Law (of course 🙄)

Who was reading the sypnosis of the germa 66 series

It's not you who met him but rather he met you

He didn't realize that you were crouching next to him when he grabbed the series of germa

When you stood up, that's when he realized but he was already holding the germa 66 book

He didn't want you to find that he's a nerd about germa at first, telling you that he was buying this for his... Cousin and all but you told him that it's ok to like things like this, since you also like it

But keep it a secret tho. You wouldn't want the people of your school to find out that the 2 top students are weebs of germa

Since then, you two become secret germa geeking buddies

Ace was complaining about how you don't get to spend time with them as much as you did in the past

Sabo had to convince Ace over and over that you're doing an important project so it can't be helped

Ace still sulks tho

Now here's the thing, you're the "mom" of the group and you take care of Ace like a literal child

You like to give him "motherly" affection such as reminding him to eat, to do homework, wrapping up his scarf for him, tying his necktie for yearbook photos, waking him up when class ends, etc. (I mean, who doesn't fall for you doing things like that to other people😩💓) (Ace doesn't take you for granted tho, he's just a big baby that needs care)

So when you're suddenly gone to do the research, he feels like something is missing from his routine

He can say that he's missing you

But for him, he still thinks he misses you like he misses a family, not as a crush

He can be very oblivious to himself sometimes

And there's the quite boring part where your team is stressing out about the research but it's very long and the relationship didn't quite develop here, it's just about how your team solve the problem together and how you guys spend the time together, the friendship, the moments with team members and the mentor, etc.

There are some cute interactions with Law in the process but I didn't focus on the relationship of you two at this part

But you two definitely grow closer because of the constant meeting and hanging out together

Like that one time you invited him to a meet and greet with the germa 66 author because you didn't have friends to go with

Or when you two met at the bookstore to grab a copy of the new germa 66 magazine and went to the book café to hangout while reading germa 66

And the so-called "dates" goes on and this time you're slowly crushing on Law, without knowing that your friend is slowly crushing on you

Ace.

He won't admit it yet that he has romantic feelings for you because you're "like a sibling" to him

And it's getting more obvious whenever he sees you with Law, like, this man gets jealous and you can see it

Whenever he saw you walking with Law, because you two were just going to the lab, he would pop in between you and Law just to say hi to you and shoot Law some weird side-eyes glare

Even Law thinks he's weird sometimes

Ace's on the soccer team, and his soccer team mates like tease him

"Oh hey that's Y/N! Y/N!!! Come see Ace score a goal!! He's wants to show you how cool of a man he is!!"

He would deny it everytime

But he can never hide anything from the oh so observant Sabo

So when Sabo shoot him the "You like Y/N, don't you?" out of nowhere

He blushed and ran away from Sabo until Sabo has to climb up a tree to catch him

That's how smitten he is

"BUT DON'T TELL Y/N ABOUT IT"
