Never Let Me Go, Episode 12 - Forever

The finale started of high octane and tense with confrontations - Kit and Nuengdiao, Kit and Palm, Kit and Chopper. The whole thing was a messy, messy affair and I feel for Chopper whose dad is essentially unredeemable.

But at least the emotional reconciliation between Chopper and Nuengdiao as well as Chopper and Ben means he have some people in his camp (all the boys did amazing in the dramatic, high intense scenes)

What I did find slightly jarring was Palm’s “whole i temporarily can’t walk thing after being shot.” That just opens up a whole can of worm with Palm feeling insecure and useless. He already has poor self esteem to begin with…and the loathing he feels cause he feels useless was painful to watch (and in my opinion, quite unnecessary - leave the 2 boys alone! They had enough crap happening to them already) - also, I thought it was poor form that Palm’s father didn’t come and see him in hospital? (Maybe he did and it just wasn’t shown in the show…)

But I did appreciate the sweet reconciliation between Palm and Nuengdiao and we finally see them happily playing house in Palm’s bar and it was a perfect way to end the show with them being all domestic by the water (the one place that Palm has always find peace with Nuengdiao recognising this..)

I will end by bowing to Nuengdiao’s mom 🙇🏻‍♀️ . I thought she was a fantastic side character. Fierce and unyielding but also loving and supportive to his son.👏

Now here’s hoping in Our Skyy 2 we get to see just fluff in all four of our boys 🫣
