Melhor branco do ano até agora, este foi o meu escolhido na última confraria: o “Étoile Chardonnay 2009” do @DomaineSerene. • 📍 Um branco americano do estado do Oregon (acima da Califórnia) — que tem feito belíssimos Pinots e Chardonnays, sobretudo em Willamette Valley (de onde vem está belezura). • 🍇 As uvas, 100% Chardonnay, são provenientes do vinhedo “Etoile”, no alto da colina da AVA Dundee Hill, na encosta oeste do Evenstad Estate. • 🛢 O vinho, passa em barricas de carvalho francês (sem tosta) por 10 meses. • 🍷 Com 11 anos de idade, mostra cor amarelo-ouro na taça. Aromas de pêssegos maduros, frutas secas, cêra de abelha e baunilha. Depois, um leve tostado. Em boca é seco, tem corpo médio e acidez moderada. Frutas amarelas e manteiga, com discreta mineralidade.
