i’m a musician. 

my song orange juice blew up a bit in 2022. ever since i’ve been thrust into the industry and have been working on finishing my first official album ✿

i just released a song called Drown in the Clouds of Dew and plan on releasing songs once a month until the eventual release of my album.

i’m on here constantly. sharing personal diaries, poetry, music, and more.

Vero Profumo Rubj

nose: Vero Kern

notes: passionfruit, neroli, bergamot, mandarin; cumin, tuberose, orange blossom, basil; oakmoss, musk, cedar

Ahhh. Rubj is a Big Damn Orange Blossom in a grand, old-fashioned style, with plenty of tart citrus and passionfruit singing backup. I love its glamour, its swagger, its spikiness. It disappears into green-black oakmossy depths like a classic chypre should.

A lot of reviewers find the cumin note overwhelming, too much like sweat or curry, but for me it's just a touch of skin-like muskiness that keeps Rubj grounded. Perfume for people, not angels.

What I do get a lot of is tart, almost green passionfruit. It's an unusual note in perfumery because it's tangy but much more long-lasting than citrus. So you can get that fruity-chypre effect, that black-outlined stained-glass glow, as it sinks into the oakmoss, but unlike peach- or plum-based chypres it's not sweet but zingy-tart. Still a lustful femme fatale, but high-energy and full of verve, not languorous.

An hour or two in, the passionfruit quiets down to just a hint of juiciness, and what we've got is a hazy aura of orange blossom amid warm muskiness.

Rubj is my kind of fun. Sultry, vivid, swanky; enough to stand up to a strong personality.

Literally every one of Vero Kern's perfumes is a winner. They're all very different from each other -- but they're all bold, distinctive, and grand in scale. Kiki is a light-and-sweet lavender, Onda a dank, rainy vetiver, Naja the world's sunniest floral tobacco; Mito's a cool and ladylike green floral, Rozy's a mellow, tender, mossy rose chypre, and finally Rubj is the "sexy one", the musky orange blossom. I can't really pick a "favorite" but wearing Rubj definitely feels like coming home.

It should have been a simple trip. Emphasis on the ‘should have been’. The store was quite large with many sections so Rozy decided to stick with James @ashortdropandasuddenstop after almost getting lost in admiring the displayed knives. She was sure they had passed the nook where the bulbs were stored as the explanation went on- which was interrupted by a familiar screech.

Exactly how many immortals did that man managed to piss off?! Rozália reflexively dashed after the - presumably - Spanish ghost, ignoring the frantic employees, trying to come up with a plan that would actually work.

Wait. Didn't all these sea related ghouls hate land for some reason?

Music always played a huge part in Rozália's life, the closest she got to happiness when she had the opportunity to dance. As music evolved, new genres started to appear and she found herself singing along to Scorpions, Depeche Mode and the most impactful: Led Zeppelin. To her surprise...she was actually a quite decent singer. Her voice was a powerful smooth alto, however unexpected wonders happened when the pendant was loosened and the Hellfire crept into her vocals.

It allowed her to broaden her range to the point of being classed as dramatic mezzo soprano, furthermore it added an unique gritty edge to her voice. After a lot of practice she was able to switch between her original smooth voice and the powered gritty one, along with how much the pendant has to be loosened to achieve certain sounds. Rozália was delighted to discover that she is capable of mimicking electric guitar sounds to an extent along with the power of her low notes combined with the Hellfire grit cause most microphones to malfunction and if she pushes hard enough even the ground trembles.

At first thought the idea of an actual rock band sounded too ridiculous, until her warriors accidentally overheard her hum along a song in her office and finish it with a gritty cry. Without her knowledge, the band started to form, sure she raised an eyebrow at Ferenc's sudden obsession with electric guitars but at least he had a healthy hobby.

Her work often left her with tons of pent up frustration, which she was unable let out no matter how much she trained or fought in the Viper club. From experience she was well aware of the effects of the Hellfire swirling under her skin, wanting to burst out; therefore she tried a possible solution: announced the idea of forming a band. Only to find out it was done and they were only waiting for the lead singer plus a name.

Marcell: the front line soldier took the drums, each hit felt like a shockwave

Sára: backup vocals, Rozy's 'third voice' as her range aligned well with her higher register and even the slightly raspy tone was similar; plus rhythm guitar

Ferenc: the man was unapologetically talented with an electric guitar and also had the charisma for such instrument

Sándor: backup vocals and a bass guitar and occasionally piano to complete the picture

The name was decided after they first played together and witnessed the sheer power along with the look in Rozy's eyes: the Vicious fully came alive

They spent a long time preparing for making it official in the now world of pop and electronic noise. Songs were written by them, their feelings, experiences, often asking other members of the legion for input. The result was raw, rebellious and explosive, the first song was released out of the thin air: (warning for blood, dark hospital themes) Back From the Dead. Rozália's unapologetic howl for freedom was heard throughout rings and many were curious to witness the always professional General sing live.

And the Vicious did not disappoint. Dressed in leather, metal and borderline BDSM gear they performed even better than on recordings. Security wasn't needed as all five of them are trained soldiers, autotune was chucked out of the window, the special effects were various tricks of her fire. Most popular in the Wrath ring as for Lust they are too aggressive and Pride as her appearance still serves as a great shock but when their time allows they will perform in whichever ring they are invited to.

During singing Rozália's eyes stay permanently unified crimson, veins glowing orange, her long hair swirling around her with a red tint from amount of power radiating from the half unleashed Hellfire. She is a great frontwoman, engaging with audience, a stage presence that simply cannot be ignored, singing with vicious passion.

Doing some thinking for the Homestuck variant...

There are a few things I thought about as I poked around.

Kenous and Evie look almost like twins if it weren't for the fact that one is a human and the other is a troll. (Just getting that out there for now)

Considering that Wavy/curly hair is present for both Elaine and Rozy, it's pretty likely that Evie has similar hair. Due to how color pallets are rendered in Homestuck, Elaine's hair is probably rendered as black or grey. (Black is more likely, considering)

I'm not entirely sure how having a blonde and a black/grey/brown and a pink and a light brown eyed parent would affect the resulting appearance.

I can say that it's likely under a "canon" model, Elaine is the more built of the two young women. (Although that's probably more visible with the younger faces.)

Admittedly, they're both tall women... so there's that too.

There are three donors, Roxy, Elaine, and the "Anomalous donor" as Elaine calls it.

(The Anomalous Donor is treated as a wild card)

Roxy: Pink (Also Violet/Orange/Red) Eyes, Blonde straight/wavy hair, Tall and Slender build.

Elaine: Amber Eyes, Brown/Grey-Brown wavy hair, Tall and curvy build.

Anomaly: Aqua/Green/Red/Blue eyes, Orange/Red/Silver/Platinum/Black straight/wavy hair, Tall and curvy build.

Okay, so let's roll more with genetics and jump to a few conclusions.

Blonde and Red hair is recessive, Black and brown are Dominant.

Straight hair is recessive, Wavy hair is Dominant.

Brown, blue is Dominant, Green, Amber, Red/Violet are Recessive.

So, we can presume that Evie will likely have some tone of brown hair, taking into account that it's not clear whether the anomalous donor provided curly or straight genetics, it's not clear whether Evie has straight or curly hair.

Considering that pretty much all of the eye color choices are blown away by the anomalous donor, she likely has somewhere around blue, aqua, or green eyes.

Admittedly, there is no way for her to avoid not ending up tall, curvy, and well-built since the genetics are definitely there.

As a result, we came to something like this:

Evie: Green/Aqua/blue Eyes, Black/Brown/Grey-brown straight/curly Hair, Tall and curvy build.

(So those older Prototypes ended up being somewhat accurate despite by clumsy attempts at doing so)

After MONTHS, I was finally hit by something that made me completely piece together Rozália's story of what she is and why and I'm HYPER. Aka: here it comes the usual tragedy

Origins:

Attila Véghváry was a descendant of warriors whom protected Hungary throughout the Ottoman period of history, to be able to live up to his ancestors he joined to serve the Vatican as a Hunter. He had fallen in love with a half Italian, half Hungarian woman named Liliána, charmed by her ethereal beauty and kindness. His desire to have children, to continue his name bathed in blood was grand, after wedding they tried, struggled with the task; without success. Liliána was terrified upon her husband's devastation, fearing he will throw her away, back into the clutches of her father and that was a fate she desperately wanted to avoid. So she prayed, begged for a miracle, yet still nothing happened. In her despair and distress, she turned to a darker force; she had made a deal with the devil: she will be able to successfully bear a child, but the child will serve hell after his or her death.

Rozália was born in 1823 and Liliána was gnawed by guilt from her first cry for air; yet she found herself unable to tell anyone in fear of harm. Even though she couldn't give him a boy, Attila was thrilled to have her and began teaching, treating her as a son as soon as possible. He was a harsh teacher with little to no reward to pay off the hard work and Rozália soon learned she has to fight for her father's love and praise.

The Hunter:

It was no question that she will join her father in the quest of banishing evil, Attila couldn't bear to give his only offspring in the hands of Nuns. To everyone's greatest surprise, the young girl proved to be more capable than most of the men, including her own father: fast, fearless, fatal, brutal yet still a tactician. Despite the available arsenal of weapons she favored hussar swords above everything (+ a few must have religious symbols) with her unique twist: she wielded twin blades, instead of the traditional one, earning the title of Doom Duelist.

Rozália only saw the creatures as obstacles between her father's love and well deserved recognition. She never really believed the preachings, she hasn't came to do God's work but to seek her own glory, to carve her own path.

When she could visit her mother, Liliána started to worry upon listening Attila's tales of how efficient their daughter was, instead she saw it as a sign that the devil already begun his work with her violent personality. As a solution when she was home, she turned her attention towards arts and found out her thirst, passion and talent for dancing. Liliána had given her all the love she could in hope it would provide a tiny compensation for Attila's harsh ways. She didn't condemn nor stood in way of her hunt for the so called satanic creatures in hope of that will somehow lessen or even lift the curse she had bestowed on her before she was born.

The General:

The 1848 revolutionary war swept through the country like a wildfire, both father and daughter felt their obligation to protect their country, just like their ancestors did. Her talents shone brilliantly on the battlefields and despite being a woman, she climbed ranks in lightning speed. Eventually, Attila had fallen in a battle and the title General was given to her along with a legion of hussars, the Főnix Légió (Phoenix Legion). Her horse, Vihar (Thunder) was a wild, aggressive mare from the Herd Lipica, since they couldn't get her to accept any of the stallions, they wanted to get rid of the nuisance but Rozália has had other plans.

They understood each other from the very beginning, they moved together as one. Vihar was as quick and strong as if she was a stallion along with her rider. The name General Véghváry was associated with bravery, power and true Hungarian virtue. She often utilized the tactics of ancient battles like barrage of arrows when they were 'fleeing', used the environment to her advantage, quick, devastating strikes usually at the enemy flanks then disappearing into the thin air. She knew her army well, keeping many personal relations since most of the soldiers were almost still children. Strangely, no one ever questioned her command and the legion moved, fought as one.

Birth of the Demon:

The greatest heroes are designated to fall. Her mistake was that she believed fighting for their country, defending it from the Habsburg's rule unified everyone and didn't take betrayal into consideration. The legion was crossing the mountains of Vértes, advancing into uncertain territory when the ambush happened. Rozália knew they are all going to perish, they were in a valley, no space to utilize the hussar tactic, so she set Vihar free and issued one last command: die as heroes. So they fought like caged wild animals but the Habsburg army had the numerical superiority along with the element of surprise. Rozália watched her men, her friends slaughtered, executed the remaining survivors. Even at the door of death, bleeding from numerous wounds she stood defiant and unmoving, refusing to beg or kneel in front of the enemy general. Swords pierced her body, more than she can or want to remember, pinned standing like a grotesque sculpture of glory. Life left her body and sealed the deal. The ground cracked beneath her body, the flames of Hell itself soaring into the woman, resurrecting and possessing her at the same time. The first gasp for breath was ragged, she was confused, furious and lost. So she did what most children would do, immediately returned to her mother's house, only to find her dead with unmistakable evidence of her falling victim to a vampire. Unbeknownst to her, Liliána had written a diary she kept locked away, detailing why she accepted such offer, her sincere apologies and asking for forgiveness for bringing a cursed child to life.

Even though she had no idea what she had became, Rozália knew she can't return to the Holy Order, but she no longer fit among humans and due to her Hunter past she wasn't welcome among other creatures. She lost her identity, the war, her home and her beloved mother. She did what she could: survive. Learn what she is and trying to control it. She soon realized her human face is only a mask, when the pendant is separated from her, her appearance shifts: skin cracks until it looks like ash, her veins are glowing orange in contrast, clawed hands, feet, wide jaw filled with razor fangs, crimson eyes with slit pupils and ink black wings curling from her back, almost impossible to tell when the flames morph into feathers.

Rozália is restlessly searching for her mother's killer while trying to figure out what and who is she, struggling to decide between warrior, demon or dancer.

After finishing off all the Habsburg officials (except for the general whom was nowhere to be found even though she tore through the whole country in her fury), she turned her special attention towards vampires in hope of finding her mom's killer. These encounters often ended with death even though the said creature wasn't the cause of her loss. Soon she learned the Holy Order wants to eradicate her from existence, without regard for her outstanding service; she understood she is truly torn between two words and she could never belong to any of them.

Rozália took part in both World Wars, the Korean war, the Vietnam War, numerous crisises throughout Africa and Middle East; to keep herself occupied, to not let the memories of the war pass even though she suffers from minor PTSD from it. When not occupied with bloodshed, she restlessly learned new styles of martial arts and dance styles, throughout the century she has lived many lives in many places: cage fighter, dancer, racer, pole dancer, acrobat, fitness model; anywhere she can get her rush of adrenaline and spotlight. Rozy can't nor want to slow down, she blazes to the utmost, running from melancholy and loneliness.

To save herself from the heartbreak, the must have 'why do you still look 25 even though we've been together for 10 years' talk, and the danger of being hunted by everyone, Rozy doesn't really date. If she feels a mutual spark between her and an another, she is totally down for a one night stand then disappear, leaving only the traces of overwhelming heat and pleasant memories behind.

Power & curse of the Hellfire:

Rozália needs to consume souls to survive. If she refuses, can't find someone unworthy of life, her 'gift' starts to turn against her. The pendant unable to keep up the false facade of a human, the insatiable demon clawing through the surface and ultimately, the Hellfire would consume her, resulting in a second death which would be hell of a record to beat but Rozy is not interested in that.

With the pendant on, the signs of what is she truly are subtle: Her teeth a little too sharp, dagger like stiletto nails as if she just had a manicure, her body heat feverish, candles leaning towards her or burning more eagerly in her presence. The most notable traits her almost overwhelming, smoldering aura and behind her emerald eyes occasionally a glimpse of Hell itself flash, brief enough to make humans believe their mind is only playing tricks.

She has fire under her control, high temperature cause no harm; her cursed flames able to burn through everything and destroy anything in their path including supernatural creatures for whom normal fire isn't fatal. Being destruction itself makes her unable to bear children, not like she would've wanted in the first place.

If she has the mortal remains, she can raise that being back into life for a few hours as an infernal creature, and at full power she can open a portal directly to Hell and reap all the souls nearby though she isn't aware of this ability yet watch her raise her dead army in heartbeat if needed. Both of these actions leave her drained for weeks, unable even to transform so she will only use these as last resort.

No, but Alexey did make me question my gender.

Who was the first OC you made?

A Naruto self-insert Mary Sue. *cringes*

What inspired you to make a certain character?

- thought of a new name

- saw a cool piece of clothing/hair/species/etc.

- need to fill in space in the story

- random doodle that I got attached to

How did you find the name for a certain character?

- random name generators

- change already existing names

- I misread/misspelled something and ended up liking it ( for example, Alexey's brother, Yuma, was a product of me misreading the brand name Puma)

Not yet.

Are there any other preexisting characters that inspired an OC?

I don’t recall basing my characters upon others’ characters. If I have, it was unintentional.

What things in real life make you think of an OC?

Nothing.

Not much. My best friend knows the most, but even that is sooo surface level. I would love to ramble on and on about my story, but 1) I don’t have anyone to ramble to & 2) I’m kinda embarrassed???? to talk about my story.

The amount of alt people I follow on TikTok makes it impossible not to come across someone who looks like Alexey.

Nope, my characters have never been compared to anyone.

Lennon & Xyo, puppy-eyes, and infinite energy.

It’s a tie between Lennon and Usagi. Lennon is the energetic, extroverted, childish one (the complete opposite of me). Usagi is the mature, smart, hardworking one (I’m none of those).

Well, today marks exactly a week before SBR finals. I feel so very unprepared. Tak tau nak cakap apa. This sem memang barai sangat. I really became so demotivated because of ATX. Even after dah dapat results pass haritu. The days I've tried to pick up the notes and study cam biasa, but couldn't. Dah la kelas loooong hours. No one's fault really... Tapi tu lah habis je kelas barai, balik tidur je for the next class. Tak study the day's lesson.

I guess part of it sebab intimidated gila dengan the subject itself. Pastu bila mula-mula masuk dulu pun cam just so eager for class to end sebab cam susah nak catch notes dia, nak trace back where we belajar that day. I think I remember cam Miss Rozi ada cakap something pasal how Ms Menon's notes are. Like "if you've already taken p2/sbr under Menon, you would know how her notes are".

Apart from academic issues, this sem also I have not been so close with my friends. Started to grow apart from so many people that I want to be friends forever with. Selalu balik Puchong because of this gak lah. Apart from hating Sunway's environment dah. Feels very lonely. Idk how back in CAT I used to study at the library almost every night. Alone or with Anis. Now, since dah pernah study finals F9 kat rumah, home is where I'm always at bila nak PT/Mock/Finals. Sebab dah rasa cam selesa to seclude myself. Nampak orang study tak tenang, cos it seems like diaorang dah banyak study lagi. Rasa intimidated.

I guess that's what Sunway has become to me. Intimidating. Seeing people finishing this sem. Next sem. Dah siap OBU. Kadang I feel like tersalah pilih course. Like these people around me are so smart. I feel left behind.

I cried a lot this first 5 months of this year. Masa kena drop SBL dulu and self-study ATX, almost everyday menangis. Cos I shouldn't have failed after F5. I don't feel like I belong here.

I miss everyone so much. Yang kawan sekolah, kawan Sunway. Feels like makin tua makin susah nak jumpa. I don't have many friends, that's why I really appreciate the ones I still have. Hari tu Dania ajak buka pun I felt so touched sebab usually I have to ajak people, plus we haven't seen each other for a while so for her to still remember us.. I was so happy

I really hope to pass SBR next week, as well as the other 2 papers. I really want to finish everything by 2nd December. Then take a break. I feel bad for saying this but I want to take 3 months off. Atau pun paling2 start kerja only after June. Cos I really need time to recuperate after giving 3 years of my life to CAT-ACCA. I know some people breeze through this so easily, and terus start kerja after habis. But idk. I'm tired of this kiasu life and this paper chase. Nak habis je 😭

I rarely vent macam ni. Nak tulis kat Insta, Twitter or Snap macam... Takut oversharing? Orang pun maybe annoyed. Maybe I do complain a lot. Entah lah. I really am trying my best fighting this depression.

I really hope all goes well. Ni pun nak bangun sahur... So afraid of waking up to study. So intimidated with books that I sleep until the afternoon. Time is ticking. Hopefully I can give the best this next Thursday. May Allah ease everything. Because all of us are sacrificing Raya... Which I might cry masa azan Raya. Ni pun every night try to go terawih this final week of puasa...

All I can do now is pray and hope for the best.

YAY IT’S MY FIRST DAY OF INTERNSHIP!

Okay sorry I was too excited since it is my first experience. Three words to describe my first day? TIRING BUT FUN! yesh, I sound very excited haha but that’s the truth.

I reported myself at HR department before I was being brief about the company and my jobscope. So yeah, I was being assigned at R&D department and then I signed a few forms and Mrs. Rozie the HR Execuitve tell me about the company. the company consists of 5 small company which are Hardex Corporation, Amerseal Industrial, Espron, MEG and Filtex if I’m not mistaken.

So bla bla bla, I met my supervisor Miss Iris who is very young and pretty chinese lady, just like in my age, a chemist at R&D dept. She took me to our office and introduced me to all the staffs, Yong, Kak Fiza and Kak Zaa (kot, meh Aina susah nak ingat nama orang).

Then Miss Iris took me to the lab where research and development of sealant is being conducted. And at there I met Nabihah, the lab assistant and Su, one of practical student from Vocasional (she’s in electric course lel). Then we carried out the experiment, its more to mixing process of the compounding. And again, I;m being exposed to new things like MS Polymer, Moisture Scavenger and sealant itself of course! Adhesives and Sealants is one of the subject that I’ve learned during semester 4 and honestly I don’t really remember it as I don’t really focus in class ( time exam baru terhegeh nak faham semua) All that I remember is sealant is like a gum, like that thing on our car mirror and sliding door and I INGAT DR FAIZA CAKAP GAM YG DIGUNAKAN UTK LEKAT STICKER ON BUAH LIKE WASHINGTON SEMUA TU ITS EATIBLE HAHAHA. And of course I remember his laugh muahahahahahha!

Back to intern lol. When the mixing process is done, we proceed with packaging process and ofc cleaning process. we clean the mixer by using spirit kot? And biasalah Aina yang comot lagi selekeh telah mengotorkan jaketnya dengan sealant tersebut! Nak kasi memorable cop lel.

I swear banyak kali gila I menguap time mixing tu  especially time tunggu it mix for 20 mins, campur powder of fume silica, CaCO3 then mix for 10 mix then add another batch of it, mix 10 mins then degassing for 10 mins. At the end of process, we see that there’s so many bubbles and the mixture is not so smooth. so we add more mixig time with slower speed of mixer then baru cantik macam cream cake. Mixing process of polymer ni lebih kurang je macam buat kek hahaha!

Semalam I takleh tido sebab duk fikir nak lunch dekat mana, so yeah hari ni jeng jeng jeng. sampai sampai depan kilangtu I perasan ada warung lah so I bet ok takpe cam eat here. Then Miss Iris tanya, you nak lunch macam mana? Deolz usually bawak bekal. LOL TAK HABAQ AWAL. ESOK MIKE BAWOK LUNCHBOX LER NAMPOK GAYENYE YOP. But luckily Nabihah the lab assistant teman me pi beli makanan then weolz makan lah di office.

Haaa, petang buat apa? Check chemicals and timbang them haha. Kiranya macam kira stock lah. Yang ni tak dan nak ngantuk sebab I memang suka kerja sorting out things macam ni hahaha. Pi cari chemicals yang hilang, naik office baru untuk check chemicals, labeling them. BEST KOT TAK KE HANG RASA GITTUWW?

then pukul 5 mcm tu, balik office, rehat rehat. I punyalah taknak nampak bosan, I googled about MS Polymer tu natang apa, then I add it into my notes haha. Smpai Yong pun pelik, you tulis apa banyak banyak? hahaha saya manyak bosan Yong, saya cari kerja la. So pukul 5.30 balik,nak dekat pukul 6 baru mama sampai. Balik tu takyah cakap lah, my back hurts so baddddddd! Maybe sebab I’m the one yang takleh standing for a long time and mmg lama gila diri harini but alah biasalah tu.

Balik tu lepas asar terus I buat yoga stretching to cure my back pain. ALHAMDULILLAH MY BACK DAH BACK TO NORMAL LOL. Then lepas maghrib I tidur sampailah pukul 11 hahahahahaha so here I am writing to you before I’m back to sleep.

So the conclusion is, I think how we feel about something is depends on how we look at that thing. How we try to make most of our time, enjoying what we do, giving the best as we can. Kalau nak mengeluh 24jam, then we won’t allow ourselves to see good sides of everything. Treasure everything, it depends on you. Learn to appreciate little things that happen in your life. Be happy! It all starts with you :)
