Okay, so I think I have some more ideas for that Transformers au, since that was all my brain let me think about during the second half of my shift
It’s mostly just about Megatron and also the Decepticon cause
Okay so first off, I think if I want to make things the way I do, I’m gonna say that the Decepticons are genuinely fighting for equality for Cybertronians, while the Autobots are fighting to maintain the status quo. It’s not necessarily to say all Autobots want inequality, and some are fighting in hopes to build a better future through more peaceful means, but a lot of them don’t really recognize that the system is or was that bad. And there are still bad Decepticons, either those just wanting to cause mayhem or are just looking for a way to better their own status, but a large portion are fighting for change in Cybertronian government
Part of what makes the Autobots the generally dominant force in this conflict is that they’ve got a lot of propaganda going for them and against the Decepticons, including that being why they’re called “Decepticons”. Not everything said about the Decepticons is untrue, they are willing to do less than savory things to achieve their goals if necessary, but the idea that the Decepticons are evil deceivers is largely propaganda
I think in my head, I want the war to be portrayed as an actual civil war and revolution. When we hear about them in history, yeah there seems to be a relatively obvious good and bad looking back, like with the American Revolution and the Patriots and Loyalists, but in the moment, when they happened, neither side was entirely good or bad, and there’s reasons as to why people stuck to one side or the other, because they were people, not entities with a singular shared ideal
The French Revolution might be a more accurate comparison to the Cybertronian civil war, but also I grew up in America so the AR is my big frame of reference and I don’t know much about the FR other than it being semi inspired by the American one and having a lot of execution. But you get what I’m saying regardless
But also if we want the idea of the Decepticons being “evil”, well you gotta probably add some propaganda to explain why that’s how they’re depicted
Optimus is someone who just wants peace and is genuinely a good person, but he was also raised on Autobot propaganda and was never in a position in life where he would have particularly suffered the system (though he probably did still have hardships, I just don’t know what). Throughout this story he learns to see the truth of the matter more
Meanwhile, back to Megatron, the person I meant to be talking about
Okay so I’m thinking that he’s from a colony or city that was at the bottom rung of Cybertronian society, though I haven’t decided particularly what his job was. It might have been a miner and/or gladiator (I’m debating gladiator to have that be a reason he’s high up in rank), but maybe I should do something else
But anyways, I haven’t worked out the kinks in his backstory, but his birthplace was under control of the Autobots, and he became emboldened by the ideals of the Decepticons and their leader (who at this point I might just make Galvatron), and ended up leading an uprising alongside his fellow bots to overthrow the corrupt leadership in their home, and being successful in this attempt. The Autobots were planning to launch a counterattack to reclaim the area, but the Decepticons caught wind of the uprising and managed to get there first, leading to the place becoming Decepticon territory and being under their protection
While not everyone involved decided to join the Decepticon rebellion afterwards, plenty being content to just have their freedom, Megatron decided to join with them afterwards, wanting to bring their cause to even more places amongst the galaxy
Megatron was a powerful bot, and one with a lot of guts and courage, and he has some skill in leading other bots, which led to him becoming a Decepticon commander. He’s also extremely loyal to those who’ve earned his respect
However his main flaw is that he is deeply emotional, and as such has a tendency to let his emotions overtake his logic and common sense, and that’s when he tends to fail and make the wrong decisions. This tends to particularly be a problem because his main emotion is anger
This is exactly why Starscream ends up getting assigned to Megatron as his second in command; Starscream may not be the most upstanding bot, but he’s very shrewd and very flexible with his circumstances, always looking for a way to come out on top, not letting grudges and emotions get in the way of things. Couple that with his extensive military experience and he was considered a good fit for Megatron, with the idea the two could even each other out
Speaking of Starscream, I’m flirting with the idea he may have at one point been an Autobot, but eventually switched sides alongside his squadron, but that’s neither here nor there
Anyways back to Megatron, he tends to judge people based on their character and direct actions rather than their skills and accomplishments. It’s not to say he can’t work with someone who’s highly skilled but an asshole, he just won’t like them
You’d think this means he’d be able to make peace with the Autobot squadron relatively quickly, but he has a deep hatred for Autobots (probably backstory related but again I don’t know the specifics) that tends to override that idea of judging by their character. Over time he also learns to let this hatred of the Autobots go, particularly because of Optimus as he sees the bot is genuinely good and wants to do what’s right
Also with that, I’m thinking he and Optimus have no prior connection, only meeting now at the time of the story. They probably knew of each other, but had no prior personal relationship
So basically they get enemies to lovers instead of the divorce arc. Well I mean, I’m not sure if they end up together, maybe one or both of them have other people they date. But you get what I mean
And yeah, I think that’s about it. I should probably go do homework now in all honesty

Okay, transformers fans, I need answers from you.
SPOILERS are possible, but not really. It's better not to read if you haven't watched the cartoon yet. Now a new animated series has been released, and for some reason I see the same thing in all opinions  — complaints and misunderstanding about why the GHOST is catching Decepticons and keeping them in prison. To this I have a counter question — why shouldn't they? It seems to be confirmed that for some time in the past, transformers openly fought on Earth. I very much doubt that they did it carefully and absolutely without harming humans . It is unlikely that the military conflict of huge robots did without any casualties at all (If it turns out that way, well... that would be stupid). And when the Autobots, and then Megatron after the destruction of the space bridge, went to cooperate with humans, the rest of the Decepticons did not. That is, there is a situation when supposedly aggressive huge robots that have not accepted the peace agreement are walking free, and it is not known what they have in mind. I doubt that all Decepticons are playful white and fluffy bunnies, considering the conditions they found themselves in. It is unlikely that they are just sitting peacefully somewhere without harming anyone. At least twice already, two of them were going to harm the child, presumably for the sake of entertainment, judging by the accompanying phrase before that. Moreover, there were rivals nearby who could really do harm, but they still threatened children who could not attack effectively. In such a situation, capture and detention in prison seems to be the only way out, if they did not come to an agreement in a good way. It's another matter what they do with them later, but the audience complains about hunting. Maybe the GHOST will turn out to be an evil insidious organization that eats poor and unfortunate Decepticons for breakfast, lunch and dinner, but so far their actions seem quite logical. Even if the Decepticons are starving and suffering, it doesn't automatically make them good guys. There may be reasons for fear. To condemn plot decisions with the fact that "well, they're cute and suffer!" when we don't even know what they did and what consequences their actions lead to is a bit strange. Maybe they demolished cities, maybe  humans were killed or maimed, we just don't know yet. If that was the case, then where else would they be if not in prison? There are more questions for Megatron, what kind of leader he was if the whole faction told him "No!" and went to hide and starve, just to disagree with his decision. Did he try to probe the ground before his decision at all? How did he not find like-minded Decepticons among his own soldiers? Did this Megatron really manage his troops so badly? Well, before condemning the actions of Optimus, he could think about what he could do to improve the situation. And if he has not come up with anything better than direct obedience... Then we found the winner in the nomination "The worst Decepticon leader". From this, I have a more global question for the fandom — do you really love Decepticons so much? To some strange blindness about the plots with them. After about a year of being in the fandom, I somehow got the impression that Decepticons are the public's favorites, no matter what, when fans treat Autobots rather coldly. And this applies to almost any media. Moreover, I do not judge from the point of view of morality, evil characters can be loved, there is no such popular "problematic" here. But it's just interesting. I can't understand what moods are floating in the fandom, I would like to know.

Just some pre-triple changer Blitzwing and his best buddy Astrotrain.
Some ideas for what happened to the other triple changers(aka every successful experiment has a few failures preceding it)
I ramble on under the cut
SO! I know the S4 plans had it outlined that Black Arachnia was the one who did the triple changer procedure on Blitzwing, but it doesn't totally make sense for her to do it imo. None of the S4 plans were ever set in stone anyway, so it's not actually canon. I just don't see much precedent for her to do that. Where did this medical skill set come from?
Historically, iterations of Shockwave have been the resident unethical scientists. In TFA, he was shown to be capable enough to restore Arcee's memory, so I think there's grounds to believe he can still play that role.
Whoever it was, Blitzwing couldn't be the first test subject. What other triple changers do we know of that could potentially meet a tragic fate? 🤔
So my idea was that the Decepticons captured three autobots and decided to use them as test subjects for this revolutionary new triple changer idea. Two alt forms? Truly a game changer!
Broadside was a former con(due to his jet alt form) turned autobot. He was a total failure. Never made it off the operating table.
Sandstorm lasted a little longer. But his body soon rejected the modifications, and he went offline.
Springer lasted long enough to be rescued/escape. But his mental stability gradually declined until the mods failed and he also died.
After these three experiments failed, they turned to some of their own troops.
Octane was not a particularly well respected Decepticon, which is why he ended up being a test subject. He survived, but suffered severe mental damage and was deemed useless. Probably tossed out like trash and left to rust. If not outright killed.
Astrotrain: Considered the first success. The mental damages were minimized and he was initially fairly stable, but his transformation abilities became more sluggish over time. And he suffered increasingly severe mental lapses. He'd either stare vacantly or suddenly drop into recharge mode. They were worse if he didn't get enough energon, gradually requiring more and more to keep him going. Weapons capabilities were lost to conserve energy. He was on a transport mission when a lapse got him killed and Blitzwing injured(which made him the next triple changer test subject).
(Also, I don't like drastic mass shifting, so Astrotrain is bigger than the others. And I think I'm gonna treat him more like he's a portable space bridge, rather than big enough to carry multiple Decepticons. He can bridge others from the decepticon base to himself, or to base from himself (it's still a strategic disadvantage compared to the autobots' large network of space bridges). This requires Astrotrain to still physically travel places in order to transport others. And losing weapon capabilities requires an escort to travel with him. The other option is a pocket dimension like Swindle's)
Blitzwing: His personality was fractured, leading to erratic behavior. Turns out the fracture eased the processing load caused by the triple changing modification. But otherwise in working order physically and mentally. He's lasted longer than the others, and his condition hasn't deteriorated since.
ANYWAY, this has been my attempt to reconcile some headcanons with canon. While also maybe tweaking canon a little to fit

Prowl getting captured by the decepticons because of his super tactical brain. But to his surprise he is not put in the brig and tortured, he is kept in a room full of pillows, his frame polished and covered in bows, encouraged to breast feed from the decepticon officers. He’s confused, why would they do this to him? The answer is simple- a tortured and miserable prowl would do anything to get back to the autobots and start kicking their afts in battle again. So instead what if they turn him into a melted puddle of contentment happy to stay and even maybe help the decepticons?
While the autobots are in a flap trying to get their tactical head back Prowl adjusts to his new life and starts to enjoy the fuss everyone gives him, petting his plating gently as he snuggles into them and feeds, sobbing around the teat in his mouth as they finger his valve. his life becomes warm and fuzzy and content, he grows to expect the care and attention, getting upset if he dribbles a drop of milk onto his always polished plating, fussing until the mech he is feeding from helps him clean his plating back to a high shine. The decepticons also start to benefit from this arrangement, not only are the tactics of the autobots suffering but if they have a difficult day there’s a warm and eager pretty little praxian ready to curl into them and drain their tits dry beaming up at them milk drunk. Decepticons start fighting for extra prowl shifts.
Eventually the autobots manage to rescue their SIC but he’s been different now, he is meek and relaxed, he refuses to take energon like a normal mech and ratchet worried for his health immediately starts breastfeeding him not wanting to stress him out further after his ‘ordeal’ with the decepticons. But of course he is a busy mech so quickly needs to rope in reinforcements in the form of the autobot high command to equally spread breast feeding duty around. Prowls frame is now constantly at a high polish and soft after his time relaxing with the cons, but he is used to being the centre of attention so he doesn’t even notice how his comrades stares have shifted to desperately wanting to bend him over, stick a tit in his mouth and a spike in his valve.
I just want him to be warm and fuzzy and taken care of.
aaaaa the 'Cons turned Prowl into a milk-drunk princess <3 He felt so good, none of the autobots made him feel this good, he was pampered and happy and he loved sucking on breasts all day... He would do anything for them as long as he was taken care of....
The autobot rescue crew returns with a soft and pudgy Prowl that's used to being breastfed at least six times a day and gets upset and angry when he doesn't get his milk... Well, at least now they know exactly how to pacify Prowl when he gets mean. A spike in his valve and a tit in his mouth... and he turns into a good boy <3

Hello again! another tfa Elita One's twin sister w/ Sg Blackarachnia with a slice of life?
Maybe where Elita One's twin took a day off, like having peaceful time away from work or war related, whether shes's alone or shes accompanied by someone or group (maybe with sari, Megatron, or others)
Add idea:
She's been followed by cons/bots (probably Meg and/or Op/Elita/Sentinel), Elita One's twin Didn't know about it
Buddy really does need a break from all of this.
Hope you enjoy!
Elita One's twin sister and Optimus Prime: slice of life
SFW, Platonic, Romance, Cybertronain (techno organic)reader
TFA
It had been an extremely stressful week for both sides.
Optimus had been called over and over by his team, the city, and the Decepticons skirmishes.
The Prime was running on fumes and knew it was only a matter of time before he would collapse. He did try and get his team to lay off a bit, but he knew in the end he would have to take care of it as leader.
Buddy was starting to get frustrated and impatient with how this week had been turning out.
The number of repairs, renovations, and overall, back up was testing her.
Not even Megatron’s sweet words did anything for her.
Then one evening she did snap.
She was so done with everything.
She even threw her screwdriver through the wall nearly impaling Blitzwings wing to the wall. Marching straight into the main room and yelled catching everyone’s attention.
Buddy venting heavy looking at everyone in the optic.
“Now that I have your attention. I will be taking all tomorrow for myself. There will be no medic available until tomorrow is done. If you have an injury, there are other mechs around with medical experience. Unless you are currently offlining, You. Will. Not. Disturb. Me.”--Buddy
Megatron steps to her side.
“Are you sure that is wise—”--Megatron
Buddy turning her helm sharply to her significant other borderline glaring at him.
As if daring him to say the wrong words.
Megatron felt a bit uneasy as he chose his words.
“I mean that the last time you went out, you had been captured. I do not think I need to remind you of that.”--Megatron
There are some murmurs of agreement around.
Buddy gives him a pointed glare before morphing into a sickening sweet face.
“You are right Megatron. Maybe I should take someone with me.”--Buddy
Megatron nods in agreement.
“I wonder if Optimus is available?”—Buddy
All the Decepticon’s look at her in disbelief.
“…what?”--Megatron
“You can’t be serious?”--Starscream
“Why take the puny Prime when you have Lord Megatron right here!?”--Lugnut
“Because Lugnut! Everyone here has recently taken their mandatory breaks, which need I remind you I recommended you take. If this week has been tough on me, I can’t imagine how Prime must be and he is just as stubborn as I am when it comes to breaks. Anyways, I want to spend some time with him. It’s been a while since I’ve had a moment to chat with him.”--Buddy
Buddy looks at Megatron with puppy dog optics.
“You wouldn’t want me all sad knowing that my friend is suffering and me stuck here read to snap?”--Buddy
Megatron’s optics widen a bit.
But the leader is unwilling to give in screwing his optics shut.
Buddy smirks a bit and gently pries his servos open carefully playing with his digits.
“Megatron?”--Buddy
“Yes…?”--Megatron
Buddy suddenly thrusts her servos to his chassis bringing him down to her level.
Her optics looking at him dead serious.
“If I don’t get this break with my friend… I. will. Snap. You see that screwdriver on the wall. That’s going to be IN someone if I don’t get out.”--Buddy
Megatron gulps a bit before absent mindedly nodding.
Buddy’s face falls into extreme tiredness and hugs him before turning to everyone else like she didn’t just put fear into their leader a couple seconds ago.
“Thank you all for understanding. See you all tomorrow!”--Buddy
Buddy leaves the room ready to com in Optimus.
Megatron stands back up straightening his back, optics lingering on Buddy’s retreating form.
“Yeesh! Remind me never get on… whatever side that was…”--Blitzwing
Starscream looking at Megatron.
“Are you really going to let her go? Just like that?”--Starscream
“Of course not. We are going to watch over her.”--Megatron
Lugnut raises his servo.
“Yes Lugnut?”--Megatron
“…Is it wise to do that Lord Megatron? You could be betraying Buddy’s trust in the process. Yes, things have happened in the past with Buddy, but must we stoop so low as to spy on her as if she were an untrustworthy traitor? She is your partner after all…”--Lugnut
All the Cons look at Lugnut as if he grew a second helm.
“That was… insightful of you Lugnut.”--Blitzwing
“I am the only one here with a loving Conjunx.”--Lugnut
“… This is an order to watch over Buddy.”--Megatron
“As you command Lord Megatron!”--Lugnut
Meanwhile Prime just got off the com with Buddy.
Buddy was letting him know that she was going to pick him up so they could have a day for themselves.
He tried to tell her no, but Buddy casually mentioned what she did in the main room.
Now Optimus knew this was serious and changed his answer.
He could practically see Buddy tired smile as she thanked him and hung up.
“Attention everyone. I won’t be available for the rest of the day tomorrow. I’ve got plans with Buddy—”--Optimus
“So, we can join you.”--Sari
“She wants it to just be the two of us. A ‘friend day’ as she put it.”--Optimus
“And what about the Decepticon’s? what if they attack?”--Prowl
“I don’t think they are going to attack while Buddy is out.”--Optimus
“And how can you be so sure?”--Prowl
“Buddy can get very creative if she doesn’t get the mandatory break, even more when it gets disturbed.”—Optimus
He shivers a bit thinking about the last time that happened.
“What is she going to do? Put us in a web?”--Bumblebee
“The last mech who disturbed her peace ended up in the Academy’s med bay.”—Optimus
Silence…
“Say what now?”--Bumblebee
“Oh I know this story.”--Ratchet
“You do?”--Bulkhead
“She was one of my pupils, of course I know. She grabbed a couple rounds of sedative rounds and shot the mech in between the joint wirings. He didn’t come out of it for days.”—Ratchet
Most of the team has wide optics hearing this.
“How didn’t she get in trouble?!”--Bulkhead
“She knows how to hide the evidence. And if I know my student, she probably put the fear of Primus in Megatron if this day gets ruined.”--Ratchet
“And that’s why I’m going. Anyways it’s been a while since we’ve just had a day to ourselves. I expect there will be no interruptions unless there is an absolute emergency. And no, the controller running out of batteries is not an emergency. Good night.”--Optimus
Optimus made his way to his room as his team began to hatch a way to follow him and Buddy on their day off.
It was just a precaution; they weren’t going to let their day get ruined by the Cons.
The next day came in.
Buddy woke up earlier than usual excited for the day and ran to the exit, swinging to the city.
Around the same time Optimus started leaving the Plant.
Both teams were ready to start spying.
Buddy met Optimus in the park.
The two hugged and immediately started chatting away.
Imagine the surprise when both teams found each other spying on their teammates having the free day.
There was a small moment where they were going to fight but it was shushed by Ratchet.
He scolded them, warning that if they got caught not only would they be betraying the trust of the pair but the fact both needed this time.
“And we don’t want to end up like the mech in the medbay.”--Bulkhead
“What mech in the med bay?”--Lugnut
“Oh, she didn’t tell you? She put a mech in the med bay for disrupting her day off.”--Ratchet
“Yeah! She shot him with so many tranquilizers that he woke up days later!”--Sari
The Cons looked at each other with a sudden cold shiver running down their back.
Ratchet smirks a bit.
“By the Allspark she did put the fear of—”--Ratchet
“Shush! They’re going to hear us!”--Starscream
“Then truce. Nothing ruins their day. They both need this.”--Prowl
Reluctantly the Cons call a truce for the sake of their teammates.
They both ended up working to make sure Buddy’s and Optimus’s day was perfect.
From swatting incoming balls, shooing birds, even taking hits from a rough paint bot.
Buddy and Optimus were not oblivious to the fact both of their teams were following them.
But they thought it would be fun to play along.
Just to mess with them.
Eventually the day came to an end.
Buddy hugged her friend dearly and they both went to their homes.
Both teams raced to their individual bases and tried to act as if they didn’t do anything.
Optimus entered the plant to find most of his team scattered around the room.
They looked tired yet tried to act as if it was nothing.
“I take it you all had quite a day?”--Optimus
“Oh…ummm… Yeah! Bulkhead wanted to try a new painting style and it took all day!”--Bumblebee
Optimus gives them a look and walks to this room before stopping.
“We’re going to need to practice on your stealth Bumblebee. You can’t hide behind a hot dog cart and expect it to cover all of you.”—Optimus
Bumblebee stares at him with his jaw wide open.
Optimus smiled mischievously and went to his room.
He heard multiple groans and a sound that sounded like someone flicking someone on the helm.
Meanwhile with the Decepticons…
Buddy walked in acting a bit surprised seeing her team a little bit worn out and slightly dented.
“You guys had quite a day I’m guessing.”--Buddy
There are some groans here and there.
Buddy giggled a bit as she turns to hug each member of her team before giving an extra-long one to Megatron.
“I’ll fix all these in the morning, I think that sleeping off the day will do your frames good. Especially after getting pelted with pain guns.”--Buddy
As Buddy made her way back to her room she smiled a bit hearing the groans and something that sounded like a helm hitting the wall.

Semi related to the other day's post about people calling OP a hypocrite for not wanting to kill people, it also really annoys me how often this fandom (even in corners like MegOP where OP is ostensibly one of the main characters) just disregards or does not care about how Optimus feels. Or seemingly doesn't even comprehend that OP having his own emotions/goals besides validating Megatron/whoever else he's being shipped with or interacing with. Or they think that every time OP is "mean" to someone else it's bad and awful, but when any other character does bad things it's justified because they were upset/hurt.
It's not really a commentary on character apologism or morality so much as it is annoyance that the spaces I've been around in near universally don't give a crap about how Optimus feels ever. Like, to use MegOP as an example since that's my main context of seeing Optimus content, I always see takes like this that only center Megatron's experiences/feelings while completely ignoring anything Optimus feels.
Like. TF One? It's okay for Dee to turn on Orion because he feels betrayed by him "siding with" Sentinel and Orion is such a jerk for banishing him from Iacon. But god forbid that OP might be a little upset about being dropped down a pit by his own best friend (and then said best friend immediately tries to kill him again when he comes back) and want Megatron to get the hell away from him if he's gonna be so violent.
Can't even count the number of examples in IDW1. Megatron is traumatized and oppressed so that means he can do as many crimes as he wants and hurt Optimus as much as he wants because "Optimus should've just listened to him better" never mind that OP literally did listen but no one besides dedicated IDW OP lovers ever points out that OP has a right to be pissed off at Megatron for some of the shit he did to him. People get mad at IDW OP for making Megatron give a speech denouncing the Decepticons because it's mean/controlling/anti-revolutionary or whatever (never mind that OP letting Megatron go free on a space adventure is incredibly permissive and informed by his personal bias towards Megatron) but they could care less about the fact that OP is staying on Cybertron dealing with the remaining Decepticons + shit with the neutrals and might maybe want Megatron to pull his weight deescalating the post-war situation so that Optimus has an easier time trying to manage.
It's very much a thing that heroic characters are held to higher moral standards than villains and grilled over doing similar things that villains are cheered for. But this isn't even some strictly moral thing, it's just. So fucking bizarre how ready people are to demonize Optimus because "he hurt X" or "he got in the way of Y" or "he sided with Z when he should've sided with A" but completely disregard all of the many, usually valid reasons Optimus has for doing what he did! It's all about poor woobies who suffered so much and are doing bad things because they're upset and justified from their perspective. But all of a sudden when it's Optimus, his feelings don't matter and how things look from his perspective (his goals, values, obligations, what he feels is right or wrong, the depression he often has across continuities) doesn't matter either. He did something that made someone else feel bad therefore he's the literal worst who only does things out of hypocrisy/self-righteousness.
It's not like Optimus could ever experience emotions like depression, anger, frustration, fear, loneliness, urgency, etc etc that drive him to do what he does. Optimus has no internal struggles between what he desires as a person versus what he feels is the right thing to do/what he's obligated to do. Getting sympathy for the very real hurt and struggle he experiences is just for every other character except Optimus, I guess. Swear to god the majority of the fandom doesn't actually see Optimus as a character and instead just sees him as a prop to either validate their fave or to act as a scapegoat for whatever's wrong with the plot.

@lonelycupcakelol bare with me lol
Bayverse Optimus prime x Human reader.
Takes place during the forth movie where reader and Optimus reunite after each of them went into hiding.
Xxxx
The aftermath of Chicago had left a bitter taste on the human race. The Autobots had defeated the Decepticons but at the cost of thousands of lives and a city. That’s how the world saw it anyway.
The government was quick to react and NEST was disbanded. Only a select few would remain to act as liaisons. Any known human collaborators would be put on house arrest and Autobots would be restricted to a remote base in Nevada.
A year and a half after the battle, the Whitwicky family broke probation and couldn’t be found. Sam, his wife and new born son had escaped. The government was quick to pin it on Bumblebee but he and every other bot had been confined to the base. Y/N never saw Sam again.
When Lennox started to become distant Y/N began to worry. Acting as one of the liaisons between the Autobots and the government constant contact was a necessity, and above that they were friends. Or so Y/N thought.
The last conversation Y/N had with Lennox he had told them he “had to put his family first”. His last attempt to give them all a warning. An hour later the President declared all Cybertronians a threat to the world and the base descended into chaos.
Optimus had given orders to just get out and to keep contact to a minimum. Y/N had refused to leave his side and so you left together. That was two years ago.
At a truck stop somewhere in Tennessee you hastily stuffed your bag back full of your belongings. Grateful for the shower but wary of the time, you made your way back to Optimus. He was sporting a simple red and blue paint job without his traditional flames.
As you climbed back into the cab you stuffed your bag into the back and pulled out a map.
“We’ll have to get off 75 soon. We can’t go through Knoxville… I’m worried they’ll have sensors outside the city that could break through the shields.”
He didn’t respond as he watched you flip your map over and then back over again in frustration.
“Maybe we should backtrack and get on 27 then 40. Should we go south or north again?” You asked more to yourself.
“Y/N you cannot ignore this conversation” his deep voice filled the cabin.
“I heard you the first time and the answer is still no. I’m not leaving.” You refused to look into rear view mirror as you tried to figure out the next move. “Alright. We back track and hit 27 then we can figure out if we want to take 40” folding up the map you placed it back in your bag and reached for the seatbelt. It didn’t budge.
“Optimus” you pleaded as you tried pulling the seatbelt again.
“No.” The finality of that one word made you feel hollow. “The attack we suffered on the road last week was the end of this. I can not keep you safe…” he whispered
“And you think I‘ll be safer without you!” you snapped “I’ll end up just like Sam and-“
“We don’t know what happened to him and his family. They could be-“
“He’s dead Optimus!” you screeched “Cemetery Wind wants all of us dead and you want me to just fuck off to some remote cabin!? They’ll find me there and us separating will have been for nothing! Why are you doing this!?” You sobbed.
“Because I do not know what else to do!” His angered shout had you sinking into the seat. In all the time you had been together you had never once seen him raise his voice, and now it was at you. “They are more concerned with finding me. You will go to this location and you will stay there. If you believe it’s been compromised you will go to the next location I’ve chosen” he threw himself into reverse and started heading south. “They will not think to look for you on city outskirts.”
“I’m not your soldier” you hissed back through your tears.
“No…no you are not” he said quietly as they drove.
You rode in silence as the sky began to darken. Optimus soon pulled over onto the shoulder and parked.
“You need to head west into these woods for about a mile. You will find the location marked on this map.” The glove box popped open with a manila envelope. “They keys are in there as well as an Identification card and currency.”
“You’ve had this planned” you breathed taking the envelope in a shaky hand.
“…Yes” the admission sounded like he was in physical pain as he opened the door.
“I don’t want to leave you. I love you” the tears were now streaming down your face again as grabbed your bags.
“I know… I know as I love you, but this is not forever” he soothed. “Once it is safe I will come back for you and if your are not here I will find you. I promise you that.”
You slid out of the seat onto the ground and closed the door softly pressing your head against the door.
“Please” you tried in one last vain attempt.
“My spark… you must go.”
You pushed away from the door letting your hand rest there for a second longer as you stared at Optimus for what could be the last time.
With a sharp inhale you hiked your bags further up onto your shoulders and turned to hike up the steep incline into the woods.
When you could no longer see the road you heard the roar of his engine take off.
Xxxx
Optimus would send status updates to you and the other bots as often as he could through the secure channels.
Three months after arriving at your new home they had stopped.
Xxxx
3 years and 5 impromptu make shift homes later you found yourself in Wyoming of all places.
You had to ditch the planned route of homes Optimus had given you after you had shown up to the second one already turned upside down in a search. Destroying the small radio you had used to keep tabs on the other Autobots had been one of the most difficult decisions you had had to make over the past 3 years.
You had secluded yourself in a tiny off grid cabin with no internet or tv on a lake in the hopes that Optimus would indeed find you like he promised.
Working in your small garden you heard the sound of car engine. Not impossible for someone to be driving by but also highly unusual. You darted back into your house to grab your rifle and hid along the wall.
You couldn’t see where the car was but someone was getting out and skipping up the stairs onto your porch.
Clicking off the safety you waited.
A knock followed by a man’s voice.
“Hello? Uh… is there a Y/N L/N here? Hello!?” He pounded on the door this time.
Slowly you slid your way over to the front door placing your hand on the door knob and quickly throwing it open. You pointed the rifle into the man’s face.
“Hey! Hey! Hey! What the hell man!?” The guy shouted as he stumbled back on the porch. You only advanced.
“Who the hell are you?” Voice hoarse from disuse.
“Cade! My names Cade Yeager! Bee said you would be friendly! Get that gun outta my face!” He said swatting aimlessly.
Moving your eyes behind the man you saw the the yellow camaro begin to shift as you let out a strangled gasp dropping your gun.
You pushed past Cade as you ran down the steps to Bumblebee’s kneeling form arms outstretched.
A/N/ - part 2 tomorrow it’s 2am 😭 I do head cannon that at-least Sam got whacked between 3-4. Cemetery wind was out for blood… also I’m making the reunion movie 5 cause Optimus had no time for nothing in 4 and you’ll see why in part 2😘

"Love, sins & roses" (TFP Megastar)
WARNINGS: Toxic relationships, emotional, psychological and physical abuse (mentioned), obsessive and possessive behaviour, the sound used is from Rule of Rose - "Love suicide", therefore there are going to be mentions (both from the lyrics and story in general) about suicide and SH and other related not-healthy topics. Canon and headcanons elements at play. NGL I really romantized their toxic relationship, which is bad. Long ass post. SPOILERS of the Prime cartoon.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Say where is my shame - When I call your name?
From the very beginning of... well, everything - things were not quite good. Or maybe, at first, everything was actually good, but by the selfish decisions done by many that were on the power, things started to go downhill painfully slow, like a snowball that grew and grew, about to destroy everything on its path and produce destruction.
Megatron wished to make a change in the already corrupted system its people and whole Cybertrone was suffering, only to be pushed aside and to watch how Orion, the mech he trusted and worked alongside with the same goal, be favoured and given the title of Prime.
As if he wasn't already pushed aside because of his rank as a merely gladiator - that hatred for the higher up ones grew up with that jealousy he felt after watching his supposed friend take what Megatron has been working so hard to get and become. And amidst the destructive rising and move of masses to follow his command, shared ideals and vision - a seeker followed him.
So please don't set me free. I'm as heavy as can be.
The war changes everything - it changed Megatron, and thus, Starscream. The seeker was well aware at how his leader was slowly overtaken by madness and a lust for power and killing. The leader saw his second in command slowly spiral a sea of hysteria, paranoia and to embrace the 'kill to survive' tactic. It became more evident at the dead of Starscream's trinemates.
Oh, Megatron would be lying if he said he doesn't hold that memory so closely to his spark - the other two seekers were killed on a mission against the autobots, one where Starscream was not tasked to go. And that day he lived to his name; wails of agony, despair and hysteria as he tried to claw anybot's optics out and his own, too. Thankfully, or not, that day the seeker didn't follow his fallen trinemates to the Well of the All Sparks thanks to having Megatron hug him close to the point of not allowing him to move, letting him cry and wail, scream and agonize until it fell in stasis.
That day, Megatron knew he wanted to keep Starscream chained to him. And it seemed like the seeker had the same idea - to be chained to his lord and not fly away.
I will do you harm, I will break my arm
Things got worse - Starscream's hysteric aftermath started to make him have those idiotic ideas that he should be the leader of the Decepticons and try to kill Megatron whenever he could. And Megatron was that close to offline him a couple of times to try and tame the seeker into submission, to understand who was in charge.
And even when both mechs would end up with wounds, injuries and energon leaking from their cuts and scratches... I'm a victim of your charms.
Megatron is damn as sure that he should get rid of Starscream - because if he wasn't working on being the 2nd in command and actually helping the cause, he was this close to stab his throat with those sharp digits of his... but why to do that when it feels so good to have the seeker hugging his arm, or sitting on his lap when he is on the throne? Or when he gets to see how beautifuly deadly Starscream was when he was fighting and the thrill of maybe next time actually get offlined by the seeker's claws? His angel of death...
I want to be dead - When I'm in bed.
Thinks the seeker as he is being held by the Warlord just so closely to his chestplate. Starscream can feel Megatron's spark beat and pulsate under all of that scarred metal of his. And it makes him close his optics and wish for the end.
His end. Megatron's end. End. End. End.
And he could end it right there and then... but doesn't bring himself to do.
I can be so mean. You can beat me.
And Starscream wants to cut any type of bond he has with the crazed leader - but at the end of the night, when he is deep in recharging mode, his spark wonders: Why bring justice to our name, by screaming like a wounded animal and the egocentric being we are... because we want to prove something? Or to have his optics on us?
I would like to shame you. I would like to blame you.
"I hate you so much, Starscream." - "Please, I hate you even more, my lord."
Just because of my love to you...
When they are not themselves, but like new found lovers that haven't seen a single glimpse of the war - share kisses, hold each other and let their sparks know each other in such a gentle dance.
And, love itself is just as innocent as roses in May. I know nothing can drive it away.
Starscream started to fear he was in love with the Warlord, long before the start of the war, long before his trinemates met their demise. The seeker would die before ever confessing it loudly. That his spark yearned for Megatron's love and devotion, to become his Conjux endura and to swear his love would live in this life and the next one.
And Megatron was in the same situation - please, to love the same mech that has been trying constantly to overthrone you, take your place, that gets those paranoiac and hysteria episodes and that is a total egocentric diva? A pain in the aft. But his spark wouldn't change it for anything in the whole universe.
Though, love itself is just as brief as a candle in the wind. But it's greedy just like sin.
Megatron has done a few... things to ensure his beloved Starscream remains by his side. Taking aside the beatings and psychological abuse he has done on the 2nd in command to keep him on a leash until he decided to snap another bite at his servo - he knew Starscream was a precious gem to admire, and that many bots ever wished to be the one to own said gem.
He has crushed a few helms, and sent others to a sure demise, as he kept the seeker on his lap, marking him to brand the seeker as his, and only his. Wanting to consume him completely.
Alone but sane - I am a love suicide.
"Become my conjux endura." He ordered.
"You are going to kill me sooner than later." He accused calmly.
"As if you wouldn't do the same the night after we bond our sparks." He pointed out.
"... Touché." He chuckled.
'Cause, love itself is just as brief as a candle in the wind - It is pure white just like sin.
How pathetic, he would say if he got to see his own death at the hands of that yellow autobot he got to break his voice box a long time ago. The almighty Lord Megatron, ended there. Alas, what else could he say or do when he was falling into the planet he hated the most to end in its ocean?
Oh, but even when he was dying - his spark was agonizing because he could feel Starscream's spark agonize. Just like the day the seeker lost his beloved trinemates. And while the now offlined Warlord fell, the stars cried and wailed as he was taken away for the sake of running away and living another day before the Autobots got them.
Alone but sane - I am a love suicide.
He is counting the kliks until he gets to aim at their throats and serve their helms. Or, get shot in the spark and finally get to meet his lover in the Well of the All Sparks. Wouldn't be so poetic to also have his cold frame thrown into the sea of Earth so his body could find again his lover's? And for their sparks meet and become one, so in the next life, they were just a single being.
'Cause, love itself is just as innocent as roses in May. It is pure white...
"Once we win the war - I want a throne, too - and a crown. Aaand-"
"For Primus' sake - when will you ever shut up? Or do I have to force you to?" He interrupted, growling.
"Hmph! Should have thought that before making me your conjux, my lord." He said, seeming offended.
But Megatron keeps a possessive servo on Starscream's hips, securely in the Warlord's hold.
Just like sin.

So next month, EarthSpark is returning for its (most likely) final batch on Paramount+.
The plan so far is it premiers October 25th.
It’s labeled “S3”, but realistically it’s just the next round of the second season. What it involves is anyone’s guess, because the old planning document that was leaked that first revealed CyberWorld has only confused things.
The EarthSpark toys are on clearance and being phased out. Those unsold, dust collecting Cyber Combiners are going to Ollies before long, and the Chaos Terrans aren’t even on shelves here. The Legacy toys are mostly gone too, the TF section is nearly all TFONE and a modest Studio Series selection.
There’s no conceivable way a series that tanked on streaming is getting specials during the successor’s tenure. If that’s how it worked, Animated would’ve gotten a special that tied up loose ends when Prime was on.
The only thing we’re probably getting is Prowl, and maybe Mirage since he was plastered on the leaked document. Considering how poorly handled ES’s (and CV’s since they share staff) ideas were, I don’t have high hopes the Quintesson and Decepticon plot will be handled well to close out ES. Modern shows have a bad habit of butterfly chasing, one idea that has potential to be fleshed out is abandoned on a whim in favor of a spur of the moment idea that isn’t much better. Entertainment in general also tends to learn the wrong lessons, like the awkward lesson taken from Lightyear is the gay kiss was the problem, so let’s just not do gay stuff at all. The gay kiss didn’t help matters due to international cultures unfortunately and the loudest grifters MADE it the problem, when Lightyear and Strange World’s problems were weak story and weaker concepts. To Strange World’s credit, it’d be a perfect Kingdom Hearts level for Sora, Donald and Goofy to run around in and the world turtle’s virus can easily be made into Heartless. Whether they’ll include in Kingdom Hearts, I dunno.
Anyway my point is, after Aligned, Transformers cartoons have all suffered bad writing and characterization: Cyberverse (said by the creators to be made for and by the fans “inbetween” which translated into Twitter IDW canon), War For Cybertron (so bleak, so overacted, so poorly acted, a downgrade in animation as it’s the same studio that made Prime, written so suffocatingly serious, it’s the 13 year old edgelord’s wet dream we grew out of), Prime Wars (oh god that was so bad, they got Peter Cullen and Mark Hamill to save face, and they instead fell flat on their faces), BotBots (the very belated response to Teen Titans Go! and Shopkins) and EarthSpark (a well meaning show using Rescue Bots’ concepts as a spring board, but refused to let go of IDW’s bad ideas, and used “DEI” as a selling point in an era where its slowly dying out.).
The movies were trying to improve, as Bumblebee and RotB are looked in more fondly by TF fans, they got (what hard cores claim) was the appeal of TFs over the Bay trilogy. And now we’re at TFONE, the film that “finally” got it right, but no one went to see.
So where are we at.
With TFONE, most news outlets agree it’s a good movie, but with its abysmal box office performance starting out, it’s not looking like that’s gonna improve, with the newsies saying the Transformers are out of gas. Or is that Energon?
In a way they’re not wrong. It’s been reported Transformers is on a decline, and with the cartoons and toys not doing well either, we’re back to the end of G2, where things aren’t looking good. The difference is we don’t have the flash in a pan miracle that was Hasbro, Kenner and Mainframe making Beast Wars and later the same thing happening with the first Micheal Bay film.
We have been long overdue for a similar kick in the pants, and I think it’s clear Hasbro wanted TFONE to be that, but alas, it’s not despite the good will.
The only kick so far are the Skybound Energon Universe series. They’re doing, as of typing, phenomenally, with the Transformers book being a decent mix of 80’s G1 Movie, Prime, and Bayformers, written and drawn in a way only the people that created Walking Dead and Invincible can do.
The other good will was the Trigger animated 40th Anniversary short.
Skybound and Trigger are the only things people were on board with. Let that sink in.
Trigger also contributed a poster for the Japanese release of TFONE.
Tumblr media
So maybe that’s a sign they’ll be allowed to do more official things going forward. Which I think is a good thing.
TFOne is a good movie, but due to Hasbro’s and Paramount’s own indecision on what to do with the movies, and their increasingly dubious canon, we’re stuck with what is officially declared its own thing separate from Bay, though it’s pretty apparent someone internal had to show Lorenzo how irreconcilable ONE was with ROTF & DOTM because The Fallen & Sentinel Prime can’t be villains of both died horribly back on Cybertron. However, the Bayformers series is still very popular among casual fans and audiences. Universal wouldn’t still have its own Bay themed Transformers attraction with the delightfully snarky Movie Megatron if it wasn’t.
So here lies the issues. The movies. Pretty much after TLK, they’ve done poorly in theaters despite their nostalgic popularity. Notably, RotB does really well on streaming, as it did well on P+ and Netflix (in other counties, it’s not on the American one yet). The Garfield Movie is currently #1 on Netflix after having a weak but successful box office. And with preorders now open for home video, ONE walks a slippery slope of everyone agreeing this is the good movie, but no one cares enough to pay money to see it in theaters. It will probably do gangbusters on streaming, going by trends, so that’s probably the best shot it has, as apparently good word of mouth isn’t enough.
It’s not helped there’s continued confusion among casuals if TFONE is a prequel to the Bay films, and it sounds like in very early development it was leaning that way, but the differing designs, and the trailers making the film look more kiddy than Bayhem, was among the turn offs. Like how does it make sense the Transformers started out as more cartoony G1 designs but overtime evolved into the shredded metal Bionicle style. No cartoon had convincingly explained a style shift that drastic.
It was said that if TFONE did well, Hasbro would use that as the basis of future material. Well with its lukewarm performance, there’s no financial incentive to do so, but the general positivity from people about Optimus and Megatron’s blue collar years and the greatly simplified Cog and Cogless system could work in its favor anyway.
There’s still, as of typing, plans to continue with a sequel to TFONE, and while it’s still unknown if Cyberworld will borrow the Worker-Bot backstory for its Optimus… and Galvatron(?), there’s a chance it might for some brand synergy.
We’re at a fork in the road now that One has underperformed and Skybound is the only thing keeping the interest going. CyberWorld has to do what Cyberverse and EarthSpark couldn’t do and attract fresh kids to get into Transformers. Fans think they’re the only ones that matter, but it’s clear with One just appealing to us doesn’t work we need new blood. Just maintaining isn’t enough anymore. Skybound found a way, now we just need to see if CyberWorld can do so too.

Earthspark season 3 spoilers! Get your Earthspark season 3 spoilers and my unsolicited opinions under the cut!!
Ok so I actually really like season 3/2B of Earthspark. It’s not as a good as season one. Season two shot itself in the foot with the time skip. Season 3 has been a lot better and Prowl was pretty fun. He sort of has a 180 with Megatron and it’s weird to see him immediately change his mind from ‘Megatron is literally satin’ to ‘we need to go help Megatron’. But him reasoning that he has something to hold over Megatron makes enough sense. Also it feeds into the idea for the final episode that you need to let go of your past or smt.
The quintison judge was pretty awesome. The sharkticons were fun to see. The judge also just shoots and kills a guy on screen and like—ok damn. I know you already did body horror and just everything about mandroid but still. Also just I general I think earthspark does a good job at horror. Like the faremaster episode was actually pretty disturbing.
I’m interested to see what the decepticons will do. I want to know what remains of cybertron. I’m really interested and invested in the terrains and the Maltos. I like all of the new characters they introduced but if they want to tell a story that involves Cybertron (preferably how the terrains would interact with it because they are in a weird area) then I’m down for a story that involves Cybertron.
Starscream was stuck in a prison for most of the season so they didn’t get a lot of time to continue assassinating his character so when he did show up they did their best to make up for lost time. Yayyyyy. It’s disappointing but I hope they actually try in the next batch of episodes. One writer got dropped between season 1 and 2 which probably has something to do with the quality drop. It’s disappointing that they threw away a really interesting plot line and character but they still have more time to tell a story so I want them to try and I want to see the sorry they will tell. Starscream lost his fucking mind? Fine. He lost his mind, now do something with it. I’m upset that they took a very nuanced character and just flattened him when they didn’t have to. I like evil for the sake of evil villains. One of my favorite characters is Freddy Krueger. But when you already established a character as being not pure evil then, to me at least, you need to have a very good reason for them to become more pure evil. I would have been fine with starscream betraying the Maltos and autobots later down the line if we saw that story. If we got to see them rebuild it would have been fun and interesting. I want to see them interact. But just having a time skip means you also skip over a lot of character development and interaction. A lot of the cast suffers because of this. The show isn’t ruined forever ofc but like. I just want them to do something. ‘Starscream is just evil ignore everything we’ve done to imply otherwise’ has been done a million fucking times and it’s boring. I’m also really sad about how his relationship with hashtag ended up. Like why? Why did you do this? And again, I’d be willing to walk with them to the ‘starscream betrays people and they have a reasonable grudge’ peer IF THEY SHOWED THE ACTUAL BETRAYAL. They don’t so I only have Robby’s clearly biased recap to go off of. It’s just lazy. But that’s mostly season two. For season three we mostly just see his silhouette in the titian’s eye. Which is actually pretty cool. Like not ideal but just him being sort of powerless but ever present is sort of fun. I’m glad that they just sort of ignored his character for most of season three because that meant they couldn’t fuck it up, but admittedly it would have been fun to have like half an episode or an episode dedicated to him just existing. Maybe show his decay. Have half the episode be ‘starscream in the present’ and ‘starscream in the moments before he betrays everyone’. But also they had 7 (technically 8) episodes and there isn’t really time to do that.
Season 3 doesn’t do anything groundbreaking but it also doesn’t do anything offensive. It’s like a middle ground between the two other seasons. And season 2 wasn’t the worst thing to come out of transformers, not by a long shot. But it was so disappointing. And I think a large part of season 2 being so negatively received was because of how good season 1 was. And as a result of season 2 being a let down season 3 seems better by comparison. Or at least that how it is for me. Season one is the best season and I think it had the highest quality episodes and they were the most consistently good. Season two had good episodes but they were less good and less compelling (for me personally) than the Season one and three episodes. I feel sort of similar about the Star Trek movies. The search for Spock is FINE but it’s sandwiched between two much better films.
But that’s not really the point. Season two happened, it’s not going to unhappen. But I’m a professional complainer.
I have issues with Megatron’s character. And it’s not exclusive to this season or season two. Megatron’s morality is. Strange. He wants to work with the autobots and is seen as reformed. He takes issue with the way that the other decepticons get treated, but is fine continuing to attack Starscream when he didn’t have to. He’s hypocritical and the way the show addresses his abuse of Starscream makes his character significantly more complicated and messy. He was written and set up that way and I feel like the current writers are trying to back track but it’s not working and also they throw in some things that don’t do any favors for Megatron. Thrash tells him directly that he is scared of him and it’s played off as a joke. And like after the events of season one I don’t know why Megatron would react with anything other than horror or discomfort. But he just fucking smiles and then threatens/intimidates Thrash in the same scene. Why are you doing this? It doesn’t make sense for you to do this.
Also the cyber sleeves are really creepy. Mainly with Robby. Why did you write that??? :(
On a different note, Jon shows up and I almost screamed. I was so fucking happy to see him. I didn’t expect to love his character as much as I do but he’s so idk. I like him. He might be my favorite character from earthspark. He’s silly. I’m unreasonably invested. He’s my goofy little supporting character. He makes metal playlists. He’s fun and he’s silly and he’s just doing his best and I love his dumb little green car.
I actually really liked Izzy before the reveal. And I also like the twist but before it was revealed I found myself getting surprisingly invested in their little romance. Like yeah it’s cringe, but every teenage relationship is cringe to an extent. They (or I guys just Robby) are awkward. But I thought that they were cute. I actually was really hyped when Robby confessed in the movie episode. Like it’s silly and cliche but they were just kind of cute. Izzy being a Quintison makes the entire thing a lot more creepy and just weird. Robby is reasonably upset that his girlfriend is an alien who’s been trying to hurt his family. I felt bad for him, but he still needs to go to jail for the sardine whippedcream funnel cake abomination. Why are you like this Robby? Why? And how much of Izzy was fake is a bit up in the air. Like a lot of what she does is just to get close to the Maltos and she’s trying to manipulate Robby, but she also seems to have some individual thoughts and an identity that she didn’t just entirely make up (for the purpose of manipulating Robby). Like she’s still creepy and weird, but I want to know more about who she is. What was she lying about? She faked being a human and at least some parts of her identity, but did she feel any amount of fondness towards Robby? How much of their relationship was fake and how much of it would she have been able to fake?
I was endeared to Thrash a bit more this season. I have a few gripes with his character and I wish some episodes focused a little more on him and took him a little more seriously, but I found myself liking him a bit more than I did in past seasons. Spitfire and Aftermath are mostly absent from the season but they come back for the last episode. I wasn’t overtly interested in either of them, I don’t dislike them and they definitely have funny lines and moments (mainly in season 2) but I just wasn’t as invested. I really liked the first episode with Bumblebee and Breakdown. I was disappointed that Breakdown stayed with the decepticons but I also can understand his reasonings. Bumblebee also wouldn’t be willing to see that he’s being manipulated. My general read of his character is that he is very loyal to people who he considers friends and he cannot deal with the possibility of his ““friendship”” with Breakdown ending. He’s willing to risk his life for Breakdown and is willing to lie to his family to try and get him back. Ultimately there is nothing that either of them can offer each other to get them to stay. Bumblebee will never betray Optimus or his family. In cyberverse there’s this moment where shockwave says that he failed to account for Bumblebee’s illogical loyalty (or admiration, I don’t remember the exact line) towards Optimus. He could be shown direct evidence that Optimus is bad and evil and he won’t believe it. He will instead reason that something is either wrong with Optimus or that he is being lied to. And I know these are different continuities but the same general principle is there. Bumblebee is not willing to betray Optimus. Breakdown isn’t willing to join the autobots or leave the decepticons. Even when Bumblebee offers him freedom he refuses. And when the Decepticons offer Bumblebee the chance to return to Cybertron, he denies. Nothing either of them do will ever be good enough. They clearly care deeply for each other, but they care about other things more. They are not enough and they will never be enough. They might not have been doomed from the start but the actions each of them took guarantied that they would forever be trapped in this stalemate. They built this prison together and willingly damned themselves to hell.
But uh, Paramount. Hasbro. Besties. Make BreakBee canon and my life is yours.
The animation isn’t as good as season one but I still think it’s good. I love the way the smoke effects and explosions are done. The show still has a lot of charm to it visually and I believe the animators did their absolute best. I love Prowl’s big dumb horns. I love him just not scanning an earth mode. I love him flying around. I love him being picked up and hugged by two women. I love him loosing an arm wrestling match to Arcee. I like Megatron’s face. He looks so perpetually pissed off. I really liked some of the visuals in the hate plague episode. Although bumblebee trying his best to be angry was really funny to me. And people trying to sound angry when yelling “bumblebee” is also funny. Because it’s fucking bumblebee. I love those little guys. Cutie patooties with a silly little name. They are my favorite type of bee and my favorite insect. On my favorite things. They are so silly. So silly and cute and silly. Bumblebee is silly and cute and silly. I cannot take angry Bumblebee all that seriously.
I think it was good. It doesn’t undo everything that went wrong in season 2 but it was good! I have a lot of things I want to talk about. Prowl being himself and also in love with Optimus was funny as fuck. Optimus and Megatron getting into a fight and then having a whole conversation about “how our partnership must be built on trust” only to call each other brother like that was the gayest thing they could have done. They also did that BB and Breakdown. Like stop you aren’t convincing anyone. Elita one trying to commit a hate crime against Twitch. Like that’s fucking traumatic. The hate plague episode in general is just really interesting and when the hate plague comes up it causes the characters to just yell their very personal issues at each other. I fucking love that.
TL;DR: I think season three was good! Yayyyyy :D (these robots are so fucking gay)

TFP Reincarnation au
Today i'm not in the mood for unhappy endings. How about the ending being like the one in " megaop twins au"?With the war ending positively for the Decepticons?
It's because i want Orion having a life with his bf and they multiples sparklings? Yes. SS and SW having healthier frames so the can have they little ones?too. I have ideias for others like Tfp Prowl, for example? yeah
So... consider. In this situation, Orion isn't turned back into Optimus Prime. Not permanently, anyway. The autobots manage to steal him back from the cons, nabbing his firstborn reincarnated bitty as well. They get the recently recharged Matrix back into him, but something is Wrong™
Mainly that the baby's health takes a turn for the worst. They've been screaming and crying ever since Optimus returned to them, and the Prime himself has no memory of his infant. It's very clearly his child, looks just like him, but he has no recollection of ever being sparked, no knowledge of this tiny baby. And the poor kid is spiraling: they're so, so little, and Orion's spark is distinctly different from Optimus. They are functionally different people. The baby cries and carries on fir hours, days, until they run out of energy and wilt. They're limp and unresponsive curled up in a little ball, wracked with fever and shaking, vents shallow and wheezing. All they do is whimper and cover away from anyone who approaches them, and brays mournfully at his mother-not-mother whenever Optimus gets too close
Ratchet's the only one qualified to diagnose the issue, but they can all tell the sparkling is dying. Suffering from a shattered maternal bond, and he's so little it's killing him. He's doomed to a slow, painful death as his spark dwindles without support and his systems shut down one by one
Optimus can't stand to watch it happen. He knows the sparkling will die if they continue on this way, and... he doesn't have it in him to let the little one extinguish. There's only one thing to do, and he removes the Matrix from his chest late at night while watching over the bitty in the medbay.
When Orion returns to consciousness, his last memory before everything went black was that group of strangers abducting him and his son, and he's horrified when he sees what state his baby is in. He grabs the kid, straps them into his alt mode, and peels out of the base as fast as possible. Hailing Megatron on his comms, saying he's escaped and mini-Orion desperately needs medical attention. Thankfully, they're able to stabilize the baby with an energon infusion and close spark-to-spark contact with his mother. Crisis averted
Idk exactly how going about achieving peace between them all would go, but. Nyeh. It's not important and I'm lazy. Perhaps Orion discovers his true calling as a diplomat, maybe the decepticons succeed with the Iacon Database and are victorious. Whatever works
Point is, Megop get to go home to Cybertron as equals, and start building a proper life for their bitties together. All's well that ends well
As for Starscream and Soundwave, it's not so much an issue of their bodies not being healthy, but rather their bodies not being the right size. As I mentioned before, their Aligned designs are much more streamlined than previous iterations, sleek and made for extreme speed rather than physical combat. It's not surprising they'd struggle with babies that are chunkier akin to their previous iterations. If they were to get caught in the reincarnation loop, there's no way the carrying cycles would be undiscovered, and they'd likely have to undergo cesarean.

Can I ask your opinion on what you personally think a good redemption arc for Megatron would be? I agree with your opinion of IDW/ES’s attempts because it really feels like something is…missing.
this is kinda critical, and it may be strange coming from me because over the past year I've tended to be soft on megatron but I've also been looking at characters with a more critical lens....so if hardcore megatron critique offends you then just look over. also...these are MY opinions.
What is missing is actual accountability, because in none of Megatrons redemption arcs does he ever actually take accountability, at least not in a way, IMO, that does anything for the narrative or holds him accountable.
There’s a lot of things that could’ve been done different. while I don’t really agree with how things are going in ES in regards to his character, what I do like is that Megatron’s past actions are finally coming back to get him. And by that, I mean that all the Decepticons have practically turned their back on him, which I love. And it also shows the organization can and in some cases should exist without him. I think what I didn’t like about ES, is that his redemption fell flat because he didn’t really understand a lot of what he did wrong. Meaning that, yes he was very sympathetic about being a warlord, and causing war and stuff. we even saw how much he cared about the deceptions and how angry he’d get when he thought that Optimus was working with GHOST to subdue the cons.
However, Megatron’s care for the Decepticons in ES is very very conditional. Meaning that if any Con had an issue with I’m, or literally wasn’t worshipping his feet or seeing him as a leader, he was prone to violence. This was shown with the Seekers AND Soundwave especially Soundwave — whom his peaceful facade broke the minute Soundwave held him accountable.
So I can’t say I completely hate ES, because it shows the flaws in taking a war lord and trying to make him a family grandpa, when he hasn’t really, truly been held accountable. But that’s also the thing that kinda makes me not like his redemption arc in ES. He is free, with the Autobots, with the Maltos, while his people are not. AND YES, for whatever reason, Megatron betrayed them. Maybe Megaton thought he was doing the right thing, maybe he thought it was saving the Decepticons, regardless it was still a bad look imo.
I hope ES points that out, how hypocritical he is, how the Deceptions don’t really want him as a leader because of that.
IDW/Lost Light...
I love the Lost light, and i have a soft spot for LL Megs, but I really don't think Megatron deserved a lot of the nuance and care he got, when other characters had to suffer and didn't really get that. LIKE soundwave and other cons/ex-cons also deserved that nuance and love he got.
I think what i really hated however is how Megatron's presence on the Lost Light overshined a lot of the other characters. There was this need to push an unneeded redemption to the point that other people's narratives were overlooked. Rodimus suffered MASSIVELY for this, and he became an addition to Megatron' s arc, wherein he still had so much more growing to do. Now his character is solely tied to megatron and to me at least, it's kinda annoying. He deserves to exist outside of megatron but because there was a need for redemption for Megatron, he doesn't get that.
The relationship between Magnus and Rodimus, which needed to be highlighted, was HEAVILY destroyed because the narrative wanted Megatron to be the main character. And Roddy's trauma with being a prime was essentially downplayed.
I think that Megatron probably should've fought Unicron with the others in the end. And similar to starscream and soundwave, i think death, certain death would've been a great redemption for him. I'm not saying he can't be on the lost light for a while but essentially he wasn't held accountable for anything he did. he got therapy, he got a family, and he also got to leave to go to the functions universe and live a life he wanted.
and yeah maybe he gets executed, but there is also another megatron who was created with another LL, who doesn't get that, and he gets to be free and happy, while trillions are still dead because of him.
I don't think he actually got a redemption arc in the LL simply because he wasn't held accountable for anything. He got a very compelling, sympathetic story that i guess worked...
but i never saw it as redemption because he never was truly truly held accountable for what he did.
that's just my opinion. all of this is just my opinion so you don't have to agree with my takes!

Hello! This is my first time with request, so if I'm doing something wrong, let me know. I noticed there is no Bumblebee Movie request, so I'll go with this one. The Ex-Decepticon abandoned the cause before Cybertron became unliveable because the Decepticons used to fight for equality became power-hungry. The Ex-Decepticon got to Earth years earlier in the middle of the human war - World War 2. The Ex-Decepticon helps the humans to prevent the same fate as their home planet. Years later, they saw Bumblebee getting dragged away by the military, the Ex-Decepticon stops them and vouch for Bumblebee and the Autobots and helped Bumblebee fight against Shatter and Dropkick. The Ex-Decepticon got killed in the end when they sacrificed their life to save Charlie's life. Their last words are, "I see humans in us...don't let them suffer the same fate as us," before they passed away. What does Bumblebee and Charlie feel about the Ex-Decepticon? Please and thank you.
OH... oh...
Haven't done one of these before, so this is a first! I will warn you the water works might come on while reading this. You have been warned!
Hope you enjoy!
Ex-Con Bot Buddy sacrificing themselves to save Charlie and Bumblebee
SFW, Angst, some comfort at the end, Buddy isn't making out of this alive (you have been warned!), Platonic, Familial, Cybertronian reader
The Bumblebee Movie
Buddy didn’t think they’d ever escape war.
Not even when they left Cybertron to find a planet to meet up with the rest of the Autobots, they were taken in only to fight in another war. A war that shook the world, literally.
Thankfully they made friends with the local natives of the planet. They were kind enough to offer a place for Buddy to take refuge, as long as they’d help out a bit with their war.
“What’s today’s mission Chief?”--Buddy
“Covert mission. You think you can handle it?”--Soldier
“Does Starscream want to rule the Decepticons?”--Buddy
“Ummm…”--Soldier
“Oh, sorry my bad. I’m good to go.”--Buddy
“You’re sure a strange one, alien.”--Soldier
“Oh, we’re on nicknames now. Chief I’m hurt.”--Buddy
“You started it! You literally started it!”--Soldier
“Maybe I did Burns. Now c’mon we aren’t going to smoke these Panzer tanks!”--Buddy
“If we get out of here alive I’ll make you my kid’s godparent.”--Soldier
“Neat. What’s a godparent?”--Buddy
“If I die your taking care of the little Burns at home with the Mrs.”--Soldier
After the war, the soldier was nice enough to let Buddy continue to live with him and his family. And yes, Buddy did get to become the godparent of the little one. Sector 7 would also house Buddy, but they felt more at home with their makeshift family.
Things were looking up for Buddy.
Buddy lived longer than their friends and loved ones on this planet. They buried each of their friends in private with their family.
Now in 1987, Buddy was staying and working with their godson.
“Hey kid—”--Buddy
“Agent Burns. Buddy we’ve talked about this.”—Agent Burns
“Okay then Agent Burns.”--Buddy
“Don’t say it like that.”—Agent Burns
“Then how do you want me to say it?”--Buddy
“Not like that!”--Agent
“Yeah I know, just messing with ya kid.”--Buddy
“How did you become my godparent?”—Agent Burns
“You want me to tell the story again?”--Buddy
“Wait no—”—Agent Burns
“It all started one drizzly day—”--Buddy
Buddy was out of the state when Bumblebee landed on Earth.
Never had Buddy sped down the highway when they heard Agent Burns’ message about a mechanical being that looked like Buddy on Earth.
“Buddy, this is Agent Burns.”—Agent Burns
“What’s up kid.”--Buddy
“Don’t—never mind, we have a situation down in the Bay.”—Agent Burns
“And, how does this concerns me how?”--Buddy
“We have a robot being that may or may not be related to your race of alien.”—Agent Burns
Tire screech.
“Buddy?!”—Agent Burns
“Wait what?! Describe them!”--Buddy
“Um… small yellow robot, mouth guard, doorwings, and… I think antennae.”—Agent Burns
“Wait, Burns this is a serious question. Does the bot have huge innocent looking blue optics—I mean eyes?”--Buddy
“Yeah—”—Agent Burns
“Oh, Primus almighty! I’m getting over there right now! Don’t hurt him!”--Buddy
“What?”—Agent Burns
“I said don’t—”--Buddy
Call ended.
“Oh… Oh Primus…”--Buddy
When they made it just in time to see a familiar looking scout holding a human female protectively in his servos as the army had circled around him. And their godson in the front.
“GET THE PITS AWAY FROM HIM!”--Buddy
“Buddy?!”—Agent Burns
“Agent Burns stand down!”--Buddy
“What—”—Agent Burns
“Stand down!”--Buddy
“There’s another you?”—Charlie
“Hi kids.”—Buddy
“Hi?”—Charlie
Bee waving cautiously and confused.
“…Stand down.”—Agent Burns
“Sir, you can’t seriously listen to—”—Random soldier
“Soldier, do you want to finish that sentence.”—Agent Burns
“…”—Random soldier
“That’s what I thought. Stand down.”—Agent Burns
It was a small reunion between them and B-127, as Buddy quickly realized that he had sustained head trauma and couldn’t recall most of his memory banks yet. Not until the full repairs had been placed. Buddy nearly chewed out Powell and some of the other generals for not contacting them before and for even giving Shatter and Dropkick any access to Earth communication systems.
“You’re telling me, while I was out of state for the first time in 15 years, you not only managed to get in contact with other Cybertronians; openly planned their extermination within ear shot; believed everything they said without taking it with a grain of salt; give them access to your satilites; let one of them seduce Powell—”--Buddy
“She didn’t seduce me!”--Powell
“Shatter seduced you Powell don’t lie to me. I’m having a talk with you later about that.”--Buddy
“But…”--Powell
“And on top of everything you all didn’t think about calling me about this?! Their names are ‘Decepticons’ for crying out loud! How did you not see the giant red flags waving in front of your faces!?”--Buddy
“Are you done?”—Agent Burns
“… When I’m done talking to Powell, I’m having a talk with you too kid.”--Buddy
“Why me?!”—Agent Burns
“ ‘Cause you didn’t tell me you went face to face with Blitzwing crying out loud! Though he did let himself go from the last time… kind of looks like Screamer.”--Buddy
Buddy made quick friends with the female, Charlie Watson. Thankfully, Buddy was able to access the rest of B-127’s memory banks after a bit of tampering with his processor.
That’s when the proper reunion happened.
“Hey kid.”--Buddy
Bee hugging Buddy.
Buddy gently hugging back.
“When this situation with Shatter and Dropkick is over, I’ll see what I can do about that voice box B-127.”--Buddy
“His name is Bumblebee.”--Charlie
“Oh, that’s the name you’re going by now?”--Buddy
Bee nodding.
“Well humans do have a habit of giving us names. Might as well continue some of the tradition, right?”--Buddy
“Wait so your name isn’t Buddy?”--Charlie
“No, not my original name. I don’t go by that name any more… it brings too many bad memories. Besides ‘Buddy’ is a much better sounding name than my old name.”—Buddy
“How did you know who those Con’s were? —Charlie
“… I used to know them. I used to be a Con, actually. I was fighting for change on our planet. Our planet’s government didn’t care for any of us. The Cons had the right platform at first. Change to make sure equality was spread to every class. But as the war went on, the goals suddenly changed from equality to having the most power. I didn’t want to be a part of a team that didn’t lookout for the little guy. So, I switched sides.”--Buddy
“Wow… I didn’t know.”--Charlie
“Heh, you’re not the only one Kid. Now let’s get back to fixing these chambers.”--Buddy
“You’re the boss Buddy.”--Charlie
“I know I am Charlie.”--Buddy
Together, the two bots started gearing up for the final fight.
It ended up with the pair of Autobot’s splitting up to cover more ground.
Bee would go after Dropkick while Buddy would go after Shatter.
Everything was going how it should have.
Things were looking up for them.
Buddy should have learned their lesson by now.
But nothing good ever lasts long.
Shatter had spotted Charlie and let out a round of fire to the human girl.
Buddy didn’t think twice when they moved to cover Charlie.
They quickly shielded Charlie’s body over there’s as the hail of rounds began tearing their body. Charlie started screaming in terror seeing what the blaster was doing to her friend.
“GAH!”--Buddy
“Buddy!”--Charlie
“It’s okay—AHH!—It’s okay, Charlie.”--Buddy
“No, no, no, no, no!”--Charlie
“Close—HURGH—Close your eyes kid. Close your eyes.”--Buddy
“BUDDY!”--Charlie
The screams were heard by Bee who had just finished off Dropkick. The scout tackled the Decepticon, beginning their fight.
Buddy felt as if their entire frame was on fire. Slowly they onlined their optics seeing a teary-eyed Charlie beneath them with some minor scratches on her face from the debris.
“You okay Kid?”--Buddy
“Y-yeah. I’m fine. But you’re not! You need help!”--Charlie
“Yeah—AARRGH!”—Buddy
Buddy weakly pushed themselves back, landing roughly on their back letting out a painful scream. The holoicons flash dangerously before their optics.
They knew.
They knew it was time.
They could barely feel the tiny hands on their faceplate looking at a shaking vision of Charlie.
Her words were muddled, but Buddy was concentrating on the little bits of warmth those little hands offered as their frame rapidly began cooling down.
Suddenly their helm was raised a bit.
Bee had raised their helm into his lap looking at them with those pleading optics to hang on.
But Bee knew.
Charlie knew.
“Hey now, its okay. It’s okay.”--Buddy
“No, it’s not!”--Charlie
“My—friend to the end.”--Bumblebee
“Couldn’t have said it better myself Bee.”--Buddy
“Buddy!”—Agent Burns
“Agent Burns!”--Charlie
“No, no, no! We need a medic! Someone get a medic here now! Someone--”—Agent Burns
“Burns… we both know I’m not going to last long. And here I was starting to think I was going to… bury the last of my family alone. I’m just sorry you’ll be doing…that.”--Buddy
“Its… it’s been an honor serving by your side Buddy.”—Agent Burns
“Likewise Burns… couldn’t have asked for a better godson. Bee…”--Buddy
“Yes—anything—my friend.”--Bumblebee
“I see humans in us… don’t let them suffer the same fate as us… can you do that?”--Buddy
“Yes—goodbye my friend—goodbye—Buddy.”--Bumblebee
“…”--Buddy
“Buddy?”--Charlie
“…”--Buddy
“Sleep well soldier. Your war is over now.”—Agent Burns
Buddy was given a proper funeral at dawn. Agent Burn, Charlie with her family, Bumblebee, and a few soldiers that were close friends of Buddy attended. Bumblebee took their spare Autobot badge with him before leaving. From there everyone parted their ways.
When Bee and Charlie parted ways, they both kept a comm link between the two. Charlie would leave for her garage to finally fix her father’s car, while remembering her friend’s smile.
When Bumblebee eventually reunited with the Autobots on Earth, he mentioned Buddy’s valiant stand against the Decepticon’s and how they fell protecting their human friend.
Bee was going to keep his promise to Buddy. These humans were not going to suffer the same fate as they did.
Not while he was around.

um um um
Artie introduced me to your age regression Megatron headcanon and ooouuuhh
ummmm i was wondering if maybe you could tell me more? :3
SOOOOOOO SORRY THIS IS SO LATE, my life exploded (with positive things!!!!!) and things have been SO busy
Seriously thank you for prompting me about this because I have a Lot of feelings. For one, age regression is hardly represented positively Anywhere. And age regression isn't to be confused with age play in a kink context or plural systems (like us!) that have younger/child members, either. The former is roleplay, and the latter has actual individual children who don't mainly exist in an adult stage. Age regression is defined by Medical News Today as "when a person's thoughts, emotions, and behavior revert to an earlier stage of development." (Forgive me if you already knew all this ^^')
So onwards to Megatron. Being constructed cold fully-grown during functionism has GOT to do a NUMBER on one's psyche. Childhood is so important to social sapient creatures (i.e. humans, whales, elephants, etc. AND ALSO TRANSFORMERS) and when they have a "wire mother" or no parental figure at all, they come out... really, really messed up. Namely, they have trouble communicating with others, are timid, suffer anxiety and fits of violence, and even self-harm. Now, Megatron's aggression and murderous tendencies can be explained by him being thrown into the gladiator pits of Kaon after an Extremely traumatic event, but being thrown off the factory floor and directly into the mines from his creation couldn't have helped matters. And his original strong aversion to violence and dedication to pacifism could very well be from insecure attachment.
BUT. Megatron sure did attach himself to one bot in particular.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Terminus was Megatron's "cloth mother" (although Terminus sure is INSISTENT that "no attachments" is the only way to go about life, and would be HORRIFIED to think of himself as Megatron's nurturing figure). Megatron is NEVER portrayed as touchy-feely, yet he clings to Terminus, is constantly trying to touch him, sacrifices his own fuel and strength for him, HUGS him. He sought out meaning and affirmation and comfort and affection from Terminus, and Terminus... well, he tried his best(?). But that's a whole other meta.
Finally we're at the actual age regression. I don't think it's a reach that any cold constructed mech would age regress as a response to stress or trauma, and even the mighty Megatron is no different. I think Terminus... would have tolerated it, so long as Megatron understood that it was "shameful" and did it only around him or in private. I can see Megatron regressing to a pre-teen (a la the Earthspark Terrans) or even as early as a toddler, babbling softly to himself, crying, rocking, and sucking on his thumb. He may even have stolen a doll or made one out of ore and carries it around with him and hugs it while regressed. He didn't have a childhood, so his processor makes one for him.
Post-Terminus and as leader of the Decepticons, Megatron has fully internalized that age regressing is shameful and will get him killed if discovered, so he masks and squirrels away behind locked doors to wait for the episode to pass. It would take a looooot of deconditioning to get Megatron to trust someone enough to allow them to see him regressed and let them take care of and comfort him, whether that be Soundwave, Optimus, Rodimus, Minimus, Rung...
I don't limit this headcanon to IDW1 either. Every Megatron age regresses, to me. It just... makes sense to me, and gives me all the feelings.

Soundwave learning about the mech who didn't just steal Hot Rods art but dared to profit from the picture of his dead sparkling.
He immediately rushed to find Rodimus knowing he was having a hard time and needing to be with him.
The two of them end up cuddled together. Holding the picture of their sparkling as they traded memories. Discussing ways to make a memorial for their sparkling and the people of Nyon.
A Functionalist guard had been attacking a group of sparklings. When theirs got in the way wanting to protect their friends. The guard shoved them to the ground where they hit the edge of the curb and died on impact.
Soundwave had been enraged after. Grieving and wanting Cybertron to burn. That's when he decided to join the Decepticons. Wanting them to pay for what they did. He made the guard suffer for hurting his sparkling.
Without a doubt when Soudnwave finds out someone stole art of his sparkling he goes on a rampage and offlines the mech but only after torturing them.
He shows up to Rodimus place covered in life energon with his em field completely distraught and in disarray but only Rodimus can tell. He’s always been able to read soundwave and he knows what and how to look for his emotions behind what he’s projecting.
drift and ratchet are reasonably worried and a little afraid but Rodimus just walks right up to Soundwave and holds him.
They can’t see it but Rodimus knows Soundwave is crying behind the mask for the loss of their sparkling and the reminder that they’ll never have them back.
The two don’t know what to when Rodimus says he’ll be back.
He goes off with Soundwave holding the mech steady and they collapse in a nest that Rodimus makes. They hold each other, crying over the bitty they lost because of the functionalists and their cruelty.
Rodimus regrets not going with Soundwave and he regrets not helping him kill everyone involved. But soundwave could never fault him for doing nothing because thats all rodimus could do.
He didn’t eat. He didn’t sleep. He didn’t fuel or speak. He was just a shell of himself that held their sparklings teddy. He could barely bring himself to vent or online.
Rodimus did not do well and soundwave didn’t either.
They never hated or blamed each other and they never fell out of love..they simply went two different directions and it was too painful to come back.
“I should go..they’re probably worried,” Rodimus spoke. Soundwave shouldn’t ask him for more time not when Rodimus was with him for two days.
“Stay,” the words left before he could stop them. When it came to Rodimus he was always like this.
“…I can’t do that to them…”
“I should’ve taken you with me,” Soudnwave left him with the autobots so he could get the help he needed to live again. By the time he was better Megatron had become a tyrant and Soundwave didn’t want him in danger.
He doesn’t say anything because he knows it’s a betrayal if he does.
“Stay with Ravage and Megs for awhile, I’ll come check on you,” he can’t help smooth Soundwaves cheek and make sure all four of his optics were healthy. Sometimes two of them could become strained or lazy.
“Eat a little more too,” he couldn’t help himself, taking care of Soudnwave was like the stars hanging in the galaxy.
He felt a prick on his neck cable and felt embarrassed, “thanks,” he looked away smiling.
He’d forgotten his spark medicine.
“You still carry that around? Doesn’t it take up space?”
“I’ve always carried it with me. It could never be a waste,” he felt thin digits brush his neck cable and he stopped himself.
“I should go,” he kept his optics from meeting Soundwave, “we should meet again…maybe its time..maybe its time we made a place for them. For..for him and our friends..Krusher would love a scare popper for his memory,” that made Rodimus and Soundwave laugh. Krusher was a friend of Soudnwaves when he was a gladiator, the mech used to love scaring people and he loved when Rodimus made cookies.
“Lets,” Soundwave brushed a digit along Rodimus’s helm and the two stared at each other for a long until Rodimus looked away.
“I have to get back…thank you Soundwave. For everything.”
He didn’t let his em field reveal anything but he didn’t have to.
Soundwave already knew.
“I’m sorry I was gone so long we-”
He was wrapped in a tight hug from Drift and he felt Ratchet scanning him for injuries and lack of nutrients.
“Roddy! Are you okay?”
“Get yer aft on the chair now, you need fuel and you took yer meds late!”
Ratchet gripped him gently and brought him over to the chair where he sat him down and put a medical grade fuel in front of him.
“Sorry…I..we just..we didn’t do anything! I swear! We just…we’re gonna make a memory spot for them..all of them and our..for all of them.”
No matter how long its been, he still could never say it.
“Kid..it’s alright..everyone has a history..though we didn’t expect it to be that or with soundwave of all mechs. I mean seriously how do you go from his type to us?”
“Ratty!”
“What?! I can ask can’t i?”
That made Rodimus giggle and he covered his face before laughing. It was real and something like out of the past.
“Its fine Drift, I mean..you guys only know him from the war so he has a point,” his optics looked different and the two noticed. They noticed by the way he laughed. He’s never laughed like that before.
“So, you’re okay?”
Drift looked uncertain but there was something else in his optics that Rodimus couldn’t catch.
“Yeah, yeah I’m okay.”
“No ya aren’t. The tear tracks are still on ya face plate,” Ratchet sat down heavily beside him and Drift make a hissing noise at Ratchet making his finials flick but Rodimus just smiled.
“I will be,” he looked to the mug of energon, he didn’t want to fuel, he didn’t really want to do anything. But he didn’t want to scare them like that or fall into that hole again.
Ratchet held the mug up to his intake, optics concerned as he tried to soften them. Rodimus took the expression of love and drank the fuel. Taking the mug himself, he felt guilt eat away at him.
“..I-”
“Don’t kid..we know..its just like Drift with Wing and me with Optimus..we know.”
He..didn’t think of it that way.
“We know you didn’t do anything and we know you still love him. Its clear as day but..you still came home and you still picked us. We know you wouldn’t hurt us.”
“I’m so sorry,” he kept his optics closed to keep from crying.
Drift laid a hand on his and he looked his direction but not at him.
“We love you Roddy, always,” Drift didn’t stop touching him and Ratchet leaned just a little closer to him.
He smiled a little and nodded.
In the back of his mind he couldn’t help but feel it.
The distance he could forget so long as he avoided being besides someone so close.
Their reassurance and touch meant a lot to him it really did.
But he hated himself knowing deep down..it just wasn’t like soundwaves.

We all suffer TFES AU
*This is a headcanon ive had in my head after i just rewatched parts of tfes and the season 2 ending- to be honest i made it so i can give starscream a redemtion arc. There shouldnt be any major warnings- maybe some light phychological torture in future stories*
!this is worlbuilding brainrot- no character diologue or interactions!
Synopsis: Mandroid had been foiled and the lives of all cybertronians saved at the end of the battle, yes. And the victors- the Maltos, Terrans, Autobots and Decepticons alike could breathe a sigh of relief at their victory and subsequent survival. But unknown to anyone, the strings of fate will be woven by the madman even after he is gone, for he made sure that even in death, he'll prove a point in the end.
Chapter I - a madmans plan
A good scientist always plans ahead, at least, that's what Mandroid did. During his year away, he had plotted and made hundreds of simulations, utilizing the time he had gained now that his new form didn't have a need for sleep. All his tests had one goal in mind- wiping out all cybertronians on Earth, to save it when so many were blind to the cybernetic beasts that were mere flippant whims away from wringing humanity's neck. Throughout all his simulations and experiments one thing became sure- the emberstones and subsequently that ''Quintus Primes'' powers were an unpredictable factor. His plans could never be foolproof. So, he implemented a failsafe, something that would ensure that people would see those mechanical war machines for what they are, but he also hoped that his failsafe would cut out the need for humans all together- make the cybertronians tear each other limb from limb themselves. With his actions, he'd make sure that the embers of the Decepticon and Autobot conflict would be stoked into a blaze once more.
The Maltos stood at the wrecked tower, rejoicing in their victory, hugs and kisses abound between members of the family, relieved everyone ultimately made it out alive. The Decepticons and Autobots taking a moment to compose themselves after almost returning to the well of sparks, thank primus none remained injured. After a moment, everyone composes themselves and gets to work gathering the emberstone shards. The Decepticons, despite their previous misgivings towards the humans and Autobots stayed to help. It seemed like the bridge between Decepticons and Autobots was being slowly but surely crossed. But, after a while the Decepticons that were in its vicinity began to act...odd. The emberstone shards seemed to ignite something in them, as if it was drawing out some kind of restlessness within the previously cooperative Decepticons. It didn't take long for them to conspire and steal the first emberstone shards. Then the second, then the third and then many more after that. Madroids plan had worked.
Alex's theory about the stones ''rules'' being broken, while partially true, was incomplete. The ''rules'' weren't broken themselves, but moreso supplemented with additional ''rules'' courtesy of Mandroids implanted failsafe, which made it unstable to the point that it had initially shattered. Noone could be faulted for not realizing everything of course, after all, the one person who had schemed this whole plot was already dead and buried and no one would question the good ol' proverb of ''Decepticons will always be Decepticons''
The Decepticons were the ones affected by the modified emberstones power- it brought out in them that little whispering voice that weaved itself into their programming. The voice that made false promises of grandure, of returnign home, of getting revenge on those who stand before them. It exacerbating their worst traits and dulling their empathy all the while twisting their previous thoughts and actions to aid in their gradual reshaping back into simple villains. This trait was even more prominent in the newly formed chaos Terrans- lifeforms that were created by the power of the emberstone, but were, from birth, corrupted by its influence.
The effects of the corrupted stones power varied from Decepticon to Decepticon- some barely changed and some became almost... violent.
