I think the funniest thing about writing/posting QuintSum is that I STILL have absolutely no fucking idea what else to name it (for those not named Zelda, when I was originally publishing it on Ao3 I was scrambling for a title for it because I legit just called it 'my fic' and often still do) and I think it's fucking hilarious that even tho I'm like 'Yeah Idonno what else to call it this is the best thing rn ig' it's also probably the best title that isn't too reliant on already knowing what it's about so while me and the summary continue beefing every week me and the title are shaking hands because why tf would I change the title yknow, besides it's p good

There are actually so many things I Love about just the first five chapters, despite how much I shit on especially chapter 1

Chapter 1 has one of the Best endings/cliff-hangers and it's actually kind of hilarious, while also being just Fantastic

Chapter 2 is one of the most fun chapters in the entire thing because Moonlight and Deia are SUCH fucking bitches to each other and it's such a good time because while the entire point is that they're both Not like that actually, it's VERY fun to both write and read while it lasts, it also has some Very stupid foreshadowing that I find really funny

Chapter 3 is funny because of Deia and Moonlight and because it starts the lil mini thing I do in chapter 3-5 of being meta as Shit about the Moorland situation, I love the starting main quests but they're also. You know. Really silly

Chapter 4 + 5 are basically about the same exact thing so they're good for the same reasons, I fucking LOVE how I write Jasper. Jasper asking Deia if she's from GED is fucking fantastic actually, because why the Fuck would he believe that she's coming with anything but more problems in paper form? Also I like how I got to show Justin's Future personality a little bit because admittedly both Thomas and Justin aren't Super fleshed out in the early chapters but we'll GET THERE. Mostly it's just really funny how petty everyone is. And also shoutout to Moonlight already slipping the fuck up on shit she's not supposed to tell Deia lmfao. Love her <3

It's actually kind of ridiculous how much I love Deia QuintSum, I've always used her as a bit of a character to play around with all throughout my life cause I've always been writing and character creating and Deia's been the character I've had the longest by now (even tho she's not Always been called Deia, tho that is an old name by now, and she's changed personality 300 times) but it's actually insane how much and how quick I've grown to love her now that I'm writing a fucking fic with and about her. That's my dumbass girlie with issues I love her so much.

There lives two wolves inside of me and one of them is telling me to come up with a really snatchy fun and meaningful name for the two parter as a whole because at some point going QuintSum & Squirrel Punt is going to be annoying and I'd like to have a collective for Part 1 and 2 but the other wolf inside of me is telling me to just call the entire two parter Deia & Moonlight and just call it Deilight for short because Ho fucking BOI is it a whole chore to come up with catchy cool and fun overall title for the work

I just finished writing QuintSum 67, so I think that means I'm done with the "early" part of that arc and will now start at the "middle" part of it which is probably the one I'm the most excited about because it has some Banger fucking chapters in there (like, chapters I write chapters around getting to, such as Moon and Deia talking lore chapter, Deia and [Redacted] have a talk, Deia and Moonlight [redacted redacted REDACTED]) and I'm very excited for the next 6 or so chapters :3

Guess what, I'm finally caving and making a pinned post. Dire, I know.

So whomst tf am I then? Well mostly I'm a resident annoying opinionated fuck who realised way too late she's been hyperfixating on a mid Swedish horse game for more than half her life. I am well known for never shutting the fuck up and having a lot of opinions on absolutely everything. I yap a lot about HSR + Fire Emblem, but also a Lot about SSO, although more specifically my rewrite fic, but it counts. And a lot of stuff about literally whatever with the only consistency being that I talk A Lot.

I also publish fanfiction on Ao3! Primarily a bunch of one-shots about Fire Emblem and Honkai Star Rail. Otherwise I publish what is going to be the longest Star Stable Online fanfiction by a huge fucking margin. Part 1 of Unto Daylight is currently being uploaded. Squirrel Punt: My fanfiction How To Adequately Punt A Squirrel, part 2 of Unto Daylight (Not written, but always being planned and I have most of it figured out by now)

Deilight: The collective name for QuintSum + Squirrel Punt. Comes from the proper name Unto Daylight. Deilight comes from both sounding like Daylight and being a portmanteau of Deia and Moonlight, which is the names of my OC protagonists. Unto Daylight was coined very late in the two-parter's life, so before this I called it Deia And Moonlight's Various Horsegame Misadventures. Hence, Deilight.

(Each of these three names have their own tags, I'd suggest just going through the entire #Deilight tag if you're interested because I tag everything relevant with at least that tag, while I don't use the other two As Much.)

If you don't want to follow people who swear enough to make sailors blush, are narcissistic enough to make Narcissus pale in comparison, and think themself both better than God herself and the funniest person alive, you should probably not follow me. I'm an opinionated egomaniac and I was made aroace because I'm just too good for anybody else. You have been warned.

(Deia puts all her weight into the stirrup closest to the cliffside. Putting all her faith in her right heel, she lunges herself forward.)

(Her left foot isn't even in her stirrup anymore, and she dropped the reins entirely minutes ago. While she's still holding onto Moonlight's mane, it is more than anything to push herself just that tiny bit further. Save for perhaps the foot in her right stirrup, her body might as well be fully leveled with the chasm by now.)

(But she has it. The golden apple is hers, firmly grasped in her hand.)

If anybody ever wonders how OLD Moonlight and Deia both are in terms of how long I've had them as OCs, I just remembered that Moonlight has both had a gijinka since I was like 10 and also that said gijinka version of Moonlight has two fucking children

FINALLY ARC 2/CHAPTER 6-12 ARE FINALLY REUPLOADED. THAT TOOK THE ENTIRE FUCKING DAY. WHOHOI

With that being said, welcome to what I'm now making a tradition every time an arc is (re)uploaded, Manda talks about what she likes about the chapters!

Chapter 6: I really like how I changed the whole Sabine stealing the documents. There's a Lot of mincing that I manage to do in Arc 2, and Chapter 6 is responsible for most of it. Especially since Kembell makes his *only* appearance in the fic here! (You will find out how I manage to skip the Entirety of the Kembell Everwinds Field Plot pretty damn soon actually, that's revealed in Arc 5, which is the first to be uploaded after the reuploads are done. I think it's one of my best write-outs, and considering what I do when I write out Justin, that's saying a Lot.)

Chapter 7: DeiAlex meetcute!!!!! I love this chapter. I love Unto Daylight!Alex. It's such a good chapter. I love it so much. There's nothing more to say I fucking adore it. I already liked it when I wrote it back in September 2023, but let's just say that it genuinely is just So good now that I've gotten my shit mildly more together.

Chapter 8: Manda speedruns the fucking mainstory in Arc 2 Part 2! Mostly though, I genuinely think this is one of the funniest chapters in the entire early-game. Moonlight and Deia are at their funniest dynamic right about here. I also genuinely love that since I got Alex into the story in a more seamless way in the previous chapter I don't have to replicate the, imho, shaky introduction that she has in the game (Fripp Pony Point Intro quest not accounted for I fucking Hate the Fripp Pony Point Intro quests!!!!)

Chapter 9: First and foremost, while this is a Very obvious rip-off of one of SSO's own quest titles, I believe this is the first really banger title. Second of all, once again. MINCING. MAIN STORY. Genuinely I kind of forgot just how well I take the early main story and just remove EVERYTHING that I find unnecessary, and how ridiculously seamless it all ends up. And ofc, Alex/Deia chapter. That's always a good time.

Chapter 10: I love Sabine's introduction, I really do. I especially like it now that I've revised it for. Multiple reasons. (Hint hint look at Moonlight's dialogue Hint hint.) It's also way funnier than it has any right to be. I do also like to believe that I managed to make the "Look for Linda clues" part of the main story way more interesting, although that's not really the games fault as those sorts of quests are Seldom all that great in video games with limited visual storytelling elements.

Chapter 11: Chapter 11 is fantastic. I never give it the credit it deserves but I FUCKING. LOVE. CHAPTER. 11. I love Unto Daylight!Linda. I love Alex and Linda's dynamic. I love Alex sassing the Baroness to the third degree. I love THE BARONESS in this stupid fucking fic even tho this is the last chapter she properly appears in. And with narration it's also just. Really fucking cute. Good chapter very fun!!! Also the title starts a trend which you guys are not going to see the full pay-off for until chapter 124. So have fun with that! (It's pretty obvious what I'm doing though, lbr)

Chapter 12: I. Forgot. How Good This Chapter Is. Like do not get me wrong. It needed narration the most out of Any chapter so far. But it's so good. The ideas are there. The execution finally matches the ideas. It's such a good, important, fun chapter. It's for all intents and purposes the ending of the "prologue" because Chapter 13 is when the plot starts Going going, but what a fucking chapter. I genuinely love it so much, it makes me really happy. Man did this bitch need narration though thank Fuck that I got that in there in the end.

All in all: Wow I forgot how solid Arc 2 is. Mostly, kudos to myself for getting the Fuck rid out of every part of the main story that I genuinely just do not think makes sense to be done that way ngfl. (As much as I love the quest for Mr Sands identity. It does not need to be done that way. SO I DIDN'T.)

Anyways did u guys know that I have reuploaded 12 chapters, out of 28, and I have so far added on 13k to the wordcount? I'm so fucking fucked my guys I'm not beating the 300k allegations. Maybe not even 350k. Probably not even the 400k god fucking forbid-
