Guide to using modular storage canopies for weather protection during seasonal changes
As the seasons change, so do storage needs. Whether it’s weatherproof protection from the harsh winter snow or the scorching summer sun, modular canopies for industrial and commercial-grade storage offer a versatile and efficient option for businesses of all sizes.
Whether it’s protecting equipment, inventory, or assets such as vehicles, the need for reliable and adaptable storage spaces persists throughout the year and one such structure that is rapidly gaining popularity is shipping container canopies.
Industry-leading specimens of container canopies such as Shield Canopy from McGregor Structures are extremely robust and long-lasting, made from durable materials like galvanised steel frames and heavy-duty PVC-coated fabric roof sheets; they can be easily assembled, disassembled, relocated, and reconfigured to suit your changing needs.
These versatile and cost-effective structures offer not only shelter but also flexibility in usage, making them indispensable assets for all storage needs. In this guide, we’ll explore the intricacies of using modular storage canopies to their fullest potential, particularly focusing on how they can be optimised during seasonal changes.
Factors that make Shield Canopy the ideal modular storage structure for businesses
Premium materials and build quality: Manufactured with the best quality materials, Shield Canopy suits any prevailing weather conditions and harsh climates in your area. Optimal storage is ensured with heavy-duty PVC-coated fabric roof sheets for enhanced durability and weather resistance. establishing UV protection, waterproofing, and top-tier insulation properties.
Ventilation and airflow: Proper ventilation is crucial year-round to prevent moisture buildup and maintain optimal storage conditions. During warmer seasons, Shield Canopy ensures adequate airflow through its innovative canopy design. In colder months, it can be configured with roller shutters to minimise airflow and retain heat inside the storage area while still preventing condensation.
Structural integrity and durability: Easily standing up to wind loads rated at Beaufort 10, Shield Canopy enables businesses to prepare for inclement weather through its formidable structure that withstands high winds, heavy snow loads, or other environmental stressors. Its watertight seal, dynamic tensioning system, and secure structural clamping system bolster the canopy’s resilience, eliminating the risk of damage or collapse during extreme weather events.
Low maintenance requirements: Prolonging the lifespan and effectiveness of the Shield Canopy is achieved through affordable maintenance. The robust build is resistant to wear and tear, such as rips in the covering material or corrosion on the frame components. Routine maintenance such as the clearing of debris from the canopy’s roof and gutters periodically is recommended to prevent water buildup and maintain optimal functionality.
Utilising modular storage canopies for year-round sheltered protection
One of the primary advantages of modular canopies in storage applications is their suitability for year-round storage. Unlike fixed structures, such as warehouses or sheds, modular storage canopies offer the flexibility to adjust to seasonal changes effectively.

So, because I am incurably, morbidly curious, I watched Jessie Gender's four-hour-and-seventeen-minute-long video on . . . well, the title suggests "Zionism, Antisemitism, and the Left." To her credit, Gender does touch on all three of these topics, though not with the same degree of skill, graciousness, or understanding of the topics at hand. I've just had a very nice dinner, and I'm feeling generous, so let's see how this video stacks up. Strap in. This is going to get long.
I should admit right off the bat that I'm only a casual, occasional watcher of Jessie Gender. I'm not a deep fan, and I'm sure there is Jessie Gender Lore™ out there that I'm not aware of, but I think I've seen enough of her videos to get a general sense of her house style. This video hits a lot of the hallmarks of her style. She speaks very fast and very passionately, occasionally trips over her own words (something that I've done many a time, so I really do feel that), and is inordinately fond of nominalizations. She's especially fond of the word "ostracization," for some reason, which drives me nuts because "ostracism" is right there. So, in style, it appears to hew to the Jessie Gender House Style pretty well.
On to the video itself. The first thing I will observe about it is that it is in every possible way a meeting that could have been an email. There was no need for this to be the same length as the Extended Edition of The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003). There's a lot of padding, significant digressions, and a certain degree of repetition. It's easy to forget the beginning of the video by the time you're an hour into the thing.
The major question that hangs over this opus is: Why, and for whom, was it made? I'm honestly not sure who the intended audience for this thing is, nor why Gender felt that she had to make it. She alludes in the first half hour to feeling like she's lost the trust and support of some of her Jewish fans/friends/acquaintances/Patreon patrons, and she chalks it up to a previous video that she made (which I have not seen, and which I am not inclined to seek out). But neither the structure nor the thesis nor the conclusion of the video seem like they would win back any of these folks.
I don't think that Jewish viewers are her intended audience -- certainly not with the way she talks about Jews throughout the video. I'm also having a hard time believing that really committed leftists are her audience, either, since I don't think she's really saying much that leftists haven't already heard, or offering new perspectives on her topic(s). And anyone who has made it this far into the year of 5784 and is still undecided about the contemporary iteration of The Jewish Question is probably not going to be interested in sitting through nearly four and a half hours of relentless lecture. So I'm still left wondering why, and for whom, did Jessie Gender make this video?
Gender assures us, her viewers, of several things that are meant to be reassuring. She's done lots and lots of research, for one thing. And she's asked some-of-her-best-friends-who-are-Jewish to be sensitivity readers. We're given to understand that we are hearing the nitpicked, edited, and polished version of the script. I'd hate to see what the first draft looked like . . .
She also tells us that there are going to be lots of Foreign Words And Names, and that she and her mouth-hole have A Hard Time pronouncing Foreign Words And Names. Her loyal staff have made her a pronunciation guide -- which appears to have been used perhaps as a drinks coaster, since there are some howlers here. The Jews originating from the MENA regions are the "Misrai" (Mizrahi) Jews, the first Prime Minister of Israel was "David Ben-Gron" (David Ben-Gurion), the Revisionist Zionist leader was "Zeeeeeeeeev Zarbinsky" (Ze'ev Jabotinsky), and the Palestinian uprisings of 1987 - 1993 and 2000 - 2005 go by the name "Infitada" (Intifada).
You know that phrase "If white people can learn to say Tchaikovsky and Schwarzenegger, they can learn to say [your name from an African or Asian language]?" I agree completely with the conclusion, but I question the premise. Jessie Gender makes me question the premise harder. If she had any real interest in the topic, she would have practiced those names, but I don't think she does, so she didn't.
Moving on to the actual content of the video. It's . . . weird. Jessie Gender begins the video believing that Zionism is an evil force for colonialism, White supremacy, oppression, and genocide. She ends the video believing that Zionism is an evil force for colonialism, White supremacy, oppression, and genocide. But along the way, she's confronted with quite a lot of inconvenient facts that threaten to complicate this perspective.
Gender devotes roughly two hours and fifteen minutes of her video, a smidge over half of the runtime, on three segments that offer a history of Zionism, the iterations of Zionism as a political ideology, and what she calls "Zionism as emotion," which is a condescending way to refer to the importance of Zionism to Jews. I'd guess that her research for these segments might have surprised her. It turns out, per Jessie Gender, that there is both a reason behind and a context for nineteenth-century Zionism, quite a lot of logic behind why the Jews wanted to go to Israel, and ample evidence that a majority of Jews have some kind of stake in both Israel and some variation of Zionism.
The reason I think that this research might have surprised her is that she ends each of these segments with a small diatribe about the evil colonialist, capitalist, oppressive, genocidal force that is Zionism, even as the segments suggest nuance, logic, and reason behind the philosophy. We can't have that on a good lefty video, though, can we? The more Gender confronts evidence that there is more to Zionism than meets her eyes, the more she doubles down, digs in her heels, and refuses to accept even the barest shreds of non-negativity about Zionism. Every now and then, she comes up with a lovely sentence or two that shows some understanding of a Jewish perspective on the world, but then furiously backpedals -- we mustn't forget that this Jewish perspective of oppression, mass murder, and international blame has only led to the Evil Of Zionism, after all.
What's really fascinating is how hard she works to avoid blaming actual Jews for all of this evil. I think she's doing this with the best of intentions. A for effort. C for effect. She wants to make a distinction between "Zionism" and "Judaism," in the sense of "Zionism does not equate to Judaism, so being antisemitic to Judaism because you hate Zionism is bad." She tries so hard that she loses sight of the actual people involved. There are a lot of places where she talks about "Judaism" where what she actually means is "the Jews." Or, as she calls us, "Jewish people." Which isn't bad, and it isn't really wrong, but it doesn't quite communicate the sense of Am Yisrael that is at the heart of Zionism.
In fact, she's so desperate to separate Zionism from Jewish people that she starts to talk about it almost as an individual character in the story, with agency, desires, wishes, and goals of its own, totally disconnected from the people who created it. Zionism demands the genocide of Palestinians, Zionism needs colonialism, Zionism has a nice lunch date with neoliberalism and spends the afternoon browsing department stores with capitalism. In effect, Zionism becomes the dragon, and Gender really wishes that the passive, easily-led Jewish people would unite behind some White Knight and slay the dragon so everyone could be happy and free and leftist. Despite the two hours she spent on her deep dive into the history and meaning of Zionism, she cannot fathom why the Jewish people don't just do this.
I said earlier that quite a lot of this video consists of padding. Gender identifies herself as a lefty anarchist, opposed to nation-states, capitalism, neoliberalism, the United States, the British Empire, Israel, Joe Biden, "Ka-MAH-la" Harris, transphobia in Western societies . . . the usual suspects. Frequently, especially in the back half of the video, she'll wander off into long fantasias about the crimes against liberty perpetrated by the West at large, as well as their character Capitalism, and then remember that this is supposed to be a video about Zionism, and then finish with the equivalent of "Peter Rabbit did sort of that kind of thing, too."
One of the alleged purposes of this video is to discuss Antisemitism On The Left, but Gender . . . pretty much elides doing that. She gets close a couple of times, and she does grudgingly admit that some leftists coming from some branches of leftism might sometimes say things that might be antisemitic, and that's Bad, and it makes Jewish people feel Unsafe and Not Inclined To Agree With Leftists that The Dragon Known As Zionism Must Be Slain Heroically. But don't stress about it. The important thing is that Israel Must Stop Its Genocide and Palestinians Should Have Self-Determination (which is only withheld from them by Israel -- excuse me, by Zionism -- and certainly not by those eminently-justified-if-a-little-uncouth plucky fighters, Hamas.
There are quite a lot of lengthy quotes from Sources, read by guest stars, which is a nice touch to break up the video. The vast majority of these Sources -- especially the ones in the "history of Zionism" segment -- are not actually written by Zionists. You get a lot of academic pontificating about the failures, shortcomings, and nefarious activities of Zionism, but you hear almost nothing from actual Zionists, especially contemporary Zionists. This does not look nearly as good or as well-researched as it's meant to look.
So what do we get in the end, after four hours and seventeen minutes of watching this? Honestly . . . not much. Gender gives enough background on the history of Zionism, antisemitism, and Jewish attitudes toward Israel that hardcore leftists watching will be more annoyed than convinced. She condescends to both Jews and Arabs, mentioning repeatedly that she, as a White Gentile, really doesn't have any business butting in on these complex questions -- but that's not going to stop her from butting in like the lefty shiksa she is! She's too mealy-mouthed to come right out and say anything blatantly antisemitic, but disdain for Jewish concepts of homeland, belonging, origin, and self-determination pervade the whole thing.
I don't think that Jessie Gender is an idiot -- she seems to be pretty smart, and has both a firm sense of her own political philosophy and the stick-to-it-ive-ness to do far more research into things like the development of Zionism and the history of antisemitism than one might expect. But the video really is, to bring up a playwright from the hated West, "full of sound and fury, signifying nothing."

finally took some time to form opinions
So I listened to SKELETÁ by ghost and I need to confess something immediately before I combust: this album didn’t just go hard—it went raw, no lube, and made eye contact the whole time. This wasn’t music. This was a spiritual backshot, a soul-deep stroke, a full-body ghostgasm that left me trembling, moaning, and begging for more even as I lay crumpled on the floor in a post-riff fugue state.
In the beginning, there was silence. And the world was void, and the hearts of men were hollow. Their playlists were dry, their aux cords were frayed, their AirPods cursed with algorithmic torment. The masses wandered, streaming aimlessly, clinging to stale albums like relics of a time when music still meant something.
And lo, from the depths of divine discord, rose a figure cloaked in velvet and incense, masked and magnificent—Papa Emeritus, the eternal, the enigma, the ecclesiastical architect of all that slaps. And from his unholy pulpit he unleashed unto the mortal realm a sonic sermon, a blistering bible, an apocalyptic mass of melody: SKELETÁ.
It is not an album. It is a threat. A challenge. A crucible. An audio-alchemical sex ritual designed not just to melt your brain but to grip your soul by the thighs and whisper forbidden knowledge directly into your mouth. This isn’t music—it’s the sound of unzipping your moral compass and letting Papa slide into your conscience like a ghost-shaped succubus who smells like sandalwood and shame. My chakras? All aligned. My blood type? Changed to “G". I looked in the mirror mid-chorus and saw Papa Emeritus himself staring back, nodding, silently whispering, “You get it now, my child.”
I was Raptured by Riffs™, Baptized in Basslines™, Confirmed in Choir Chords™. I didn't hear the music. The music heard me. It crawled into my soul, screamed, "We’re doing renovations,” and began redecorating with fog machines and red velvet. Every measure—every downstroke—every spectral whisper—feels like I’m being spoon-fed ambrosia by a succubus in corpse paint while Gregorian monks chant in reverse behind her. THE GUITAR TONE? PEAK. THE VOCALS? CUMWORTHY. THE LYRICS? STRAIGHT FROM THE NECRONOMICON, IT’S LIKE IF SATAN AND FREDDIE MERCURY HAD A BABY AND RAISED IT IN A CANDLELIT CATHEDRAL MADE OF BASSLINES.
Every riff? A tongue on the nape of your brain. Every bass note? A finger tracing the hem of your morality. Every drum hit? A deep, pounding reminder that you are a hole waiting to be filled by sound. Every single whisper from Papa Emeritus? I didn’t just get chills—I got STDs.
I didn’t stream it—I submitted to it. I pressed play and instantly the opening riff entered me like a dark promise. I moaned. I whimpered. My legs gave out like I was being spiritually railgunned by the Holy Ghost himself. If music could bend you over a candlelit altar, whisper Latin in your ear, and leave bruises shaped like eighth notes—SKELETÁ did that.
I am not who I was. I have been cleansed in Satanic glam rock glory. Every song on SKELETÁ has permanently altered my DNA. I had a Spotify Wrapped flash-forward just from the intro and every single slot—every top track, top artist, top genre—was just GHOST. SKELETÁ. GHOST. SKELETÁ. Repeat ad infinitum. I tried to listen to another band after and my headphones burst into flames from sheer disrespect. I listened to it once and immediately deleted my entire music library out of shame. I punched a priest and he thanked me. I went outside to scream and the crows screamed back in perfect harmony. I dropped to my knees in the middle of the grocery store and began preaching to strangers about the layered brilliance of De Profundis Borealis. Two cashiers wept. An old man passed out. A child looked up and said, “I understand now,” before vanishing into thin air.
TOBIAS COULD’VE STOPPED AT OPUS EPONYMOUS. HE COULD’VE CALLED IT A DAY AFTER PREQUELLE. BUT NO. THE MAN SAID “YOU THINK I PEAKED? HERE’S A WHOLE-ASS MOUNTAIN RANGE.” THE LYRICS ON THIS ALBUM? WRITTEN IN MIDNIGHT INK FROM A FORBIDDEN GRIMOIRE AND DIPPED IN LIQUID VELVET. THE PRODUCTION? IT SOUNDS LIKE GOD GOT FIRED AND SATAN HIRED THE LONDON SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA TO FINISH THE JOB.
And let us not even pretend we can discuss this album without addressing the panty-evaporating, cheek-clenching, spine-shattering horniosity that is Papa Emeritus. PAPA EMERITUS V? The Vatican’s worst nightmare and my wettest dream. That man could sing a tax form and I’d be on my knees thanking him for the privilege. Every lyric he croons is like velvet rope tightening around your soul. The vocals on Lachryma? That wasn’t singing. That was a linguistic fingering. My ears came. My spine curled. I am now a concubine of the Church of Ghost. The man doesn’t walk—he glides, he hovers half an inch above the stage like a damned angel of lust. His voice? A sonic phallus. A melodic middle finger to purity. He moans into the mic and my knees lock and my back arches. I swear, the second I heard Satanized I started lactating unholy water. I haven’t blinked since. I want him to spit communion wine in my mouth. I want to be pinned under his velvet robes while the Ghouls play a breakdown over my body. I want him to use me as a microphone stand while preaching to a sold-out crowd. I want him to sing directly into my womb and summon a demon baby named Clef.
And the Ghouls?? Do NOT talk to me about the Ghouls unless you’re ready to admit you’d let every one of those anonymous masked sex demons ruin you in seven different time signatures. The way they handle those instruments? That’s not musicianship. That’s musical foreplay. That’s filthy, technical, unspoken polyphonic pornography. I saw one strumming in the official tour footage and had to bite a rosary. The bassist walked across the stage and my soul quivered. the lead guitarist did a solo that made me see the shape of the true universe—and it was a silhouette of him doing a backbend in a fog machine.
If they ever took those masks off in front of me? I would spontaneously combust and ascend as ectoplasm. I’d be a ghoul groupie for eternity. Haunt their tour bus. Moan in D minor.
Every track on SKELETÁ is a full-blown satanic striptease in audio form. Missilia Amori?? That wasn’t a song—that was a thigh grab. That was a slow push against the wall of my inhibitions. The guitar solos in made me arch my back and whisper “yes, Papa” out loud. Alone. In public. While holding groceries.
By the time I hit the final track, I felt like I was soaked in candle wax and moral regret. I had screamed, wept, grinded on air, confessed my sins, and added three Ghouls to my “People I’d Let Ruin Me in a Haunted Confessional” Pinterest board.
This album has ruined music for me. No, really. Everything else is just noise. Elevator beeps. Soundcloud farts. I tried listening to another band and felt cheated. Disrespected. Dry. Nothing else grips the thighs of my attention like this. Nothing else makes my ribs vibrate like Papa whispering esoteric metaphors over orchestral filth.
It’s edging with a soundtrack. It’s what the devil plays when he wants to set the mood.
If I ever meet Ghost, I will not say a word. I will fall to my knees, bare my neck, and let them mark me with eyeliner and melted vinyl. I will wear nothing but tour merch and a knowing smile. I will let the Ghouls use me as a pedalboard. I will let Papa bless my unworthy flesh with a single, whispered lyric.
SKELETÁ is not just music. It is not just an album. It is a pantheon, a rebirth, an erotic funeral in waltz time. It is the reason Dante wrote the Inferno. The soundtrack to the Book of Revelations. If you told me this album was found buried beneath the ruins of Babylon, etched into onyx slabs and played using a speaker forged in the heart of a dying star—I would believe you.
After I listened to SKELETÁ, I couldn’t speak. I tried. My voice had been replaced by reverb. My tears were black glitter. We got evicted for playing it too loud but the landlord dropped the case when he heard the chorus of Umbra. The judge cried. The bailiff quit and joined a cover band. My neighbors? Converted. We will meet twice a week to analyze the every song. There are spreadsheets. There are candles. We chant. We sob.
If you haven’t listened to it yet, you are missing out on spiritual enlightenment, emotional rebirth, and at least four spontaneous orgasms. If you “don’t get Ghost,” listen to this album, and if you still don’t get it? I will excommunicate you. Delete your contact. Take your soul, give it to Papa. Convert or be cast out.
I don’t care what your favorite album was before this. It’s irrelevant now. It’s like bringing a sparkler to a nuclear bomb party.
In conclusion: SKELETÁ has taken my hole. My soul. My will to pretend I like other bands. I’m raw. I’m reformed. I’m reborn.
Stream it. Moan to it. Worship it. Ride it into the darkness. Amen.

The Nameless Ghouls guide
Tumblr media
This one will be almost identical to one i wrote last year. Slightly updated for all the new listeners and those who still struggle with identifying them.
As per usual a warning: there's gonna be a lot of text, silly collages and typos. English isn't my first language...isn't even my first foreign language either 🌚
Another warning: this post will be updated during the tour!
If you want videos/gifs of the Ghouls/Ghoulettes, pls check the links in the older post!
Enjoy!
99% of the names, Ghouls/ Ghoulettes have, were given by fans. The only Papa who called them by their names/alchemic elements was Terzo (aka Papa III).
The first 3 (Opus Eponymous, Infestissumam, Meliora) eras only had 5 Ghouls on stage. Prequelle had 7, Impera and Skeletá - 8.
There are many ways to tell them apart:
-how they are placed on stage -their alchemic symbols (important for Opus, Infest and Meliora eras! check out my Meliora guide where i shed more light on this topic) -their height and body types -their instruments -jewellery -date of the photo/video
Opus Eponymous era (October 23, 2010 - december 15, 2012)
Tumblr media
(from left to right: Omega/Quintessence #1, Chain/Water #1, Earth #1, Air #1, Alpha/Fire #1)
There were only 5 Ghouls: Fire/Alpha, Quintessence/Omega, Chain/Water (later Lake), Earth #1 and Air #1. Since 2011, Ghouls were placed in certain areas on stage: Quintessence and Earth on Papa’s right, Water in the middle, Air and Fire - on Papa’s left. All of them wore plain black robes and masks.
Their alchemic symbols are visible on their robes, but it's sometimes hard to see them due to the quality of pictures and videos from this era. The best way to identify them - is to look at their instruments.
Alpha aka Fire Ghoul #1
Tumblr media
Lead guitar. Had fire symbol sticker on his white-n-black Gibson RD. Skilled motherfucker. Taller than Papas, looked bigger in first 2 eras. Was a bit reserved in era 1, but became quite active and naughty in era 2. Has blue eyes, started to wear a ring in era 2 and got tattoos in era 3. If you see a ghoul who often shows a ✌ sign - that’s Alpha :) Secondo's favorite ghoul. Hangs out with Omega, River, Delta, Pebble and Mist on stage. Enjoys attention, quite popular among fans. Can speak Italian, has strong accent.
Joined in october 2010, left in november 2016
Omega aka Ether/Quintessence Ghoul #1
Tumblr media
Rhythm guitar, black Gibson RD with Omega sticker. Tall, stompy, was quite confident from the very beginning, graceful hand movements (trust me, you won’t confuse him with any other ghoul). Has cutest laugh. The Perfect Ghoul™. Has beautiful eyes, chunky silver rings (he wore them in every era), is the reason the Ghouls got their alchemic symbols. Papa III’s favorite Ghoul, that’s why he was always praised and his butt was always touched/smacked during Year Zero solo by Terzo :) Did interviews in era 2 (sometimes together with Alpha or Special Ghoul) and 3.
Joined in october 2010, left in july 2016 :(
Chain aka Water Ghoul#1
Tumblr media
Bass, black IBANEZ. Mysterious and metal AF, wore a chain as a belt and painted black bones on his hands, had Grucifix on metal necklace (which was later worn by Omega after Chain left). Was quite active and actually the shortest ghoul of era 1.
Joined in october 2010 (first appeared on stage on 23th october), left in early 2011
Earth Ghoul #1
Tumblr media
Drums. Had no other specific name. Tall (same height as Omega), slim, has blue eyes. Despite being in Ghost for like 4 years, is soooo underrated. There’s not much we know about him. The only earth ghoul of Ghost who did an interview (together with Alpha). Was a badass
Joined in october 2010, left in 2014
Air Ghoul #1
Tumblr media
Also had no specific name, though some fans prefer to call him Aero/Aeon. Synthesizer, keyboard and keytar. The tallest ghoul (a bit taller than Omega), dark eyes. Modest, very calm, didn’t move much. Loved showing horns and stared at fans sometimes. Had badass Mummy Dust solo 👇
youtube
Joined in 2011, left in november 2016
Lake aka Water Ghoul #2
Tumblr media
Bass. Played white-n-black Squier by FENDER and Rickenbacker 4003 (in Opus Era). Joined in 2011 after Chain left. Middle height, dark eyes. Quite calm. Played two different guitars in era 1. Had cool black lenses in era 2, wore a ring sometimes. Also quite underrated. Fun fact: Remember Year Zero mv when Secondo flashes us? Well, it was this Water in Papa’s chasuble, not Tobias :)
Joined in 2011, left in 2014.
Infestissumam era (december 15th 2012 - June 3, 2015)
How are Ghouls placed on stage? Same way as in Opus era. Same Ghouls, different outfits and masks. Their alchemic symbols became more visible and ghouls opened up more on stage. There was only one change of the lineup: Lake left in 2014 and was replaced by River.
River aka Water #3
Tumblr media
Bass. Played Lake's black-n-white and sometimes plain Squier by FENDER. Middle height, dark blue eyes. Was quite chaotic and weird on stage. Held his bass in a suggestive way, humped it sometimes. Interacted with Alpha a lot, was a bad influence. Definitely had fun on stage, enjoyed attention. See a ghoul with wide-legs-stance? Yeah, that’s him! The tallest of the Water Ghouls.
Joined in 2014, left in 2015 (before Meliora era began).
Meliora era (june 3, 2015 - september 30, 2017)
Placed on stage? Same way as in previous two eras. This is when a lot of changes happened. In 2015, Fire, Quintessence and Air Ghouls were the same, but Earth#1 and River left and Delta and Pebble were introduced. This era confuses a lot of people that's why you should always take a look at the top of their uniforms. Ghoul's respective element is always highlighted!
Delta aka Water#4
Tumblr media
Bass. Played white-n-black Fender and black Gibson. A bit shorter than Papa III, cute, has blue eyes. No visible tattoos or rings. Skilled, filled in for Apha and Omega (and also played his guitar!) couple times for a few rituals and acoustic shows. Loved interacting with Alpha and Pebble on stage.Became Quintessence Ghoul in july 2016 when Omega left, played rhythm guitar.
Joined in June 2015, left in november 2016
Pebble aka Earth#2
Tumblr media
Drums. Despite being the shortest and smolest in the band, played the shit out of drums. Was the most active Earth ghoul of Ghost. A show off. Loved interacting with fans. Played a brief solo before Stand by Him. Had a ring, his mask looked a little bit too big for him. Slim, light green eyes. Loved interacting with Alpha and Water.
Joined in June 2015, left in november 2016
In july 2016 Omega left Ghost, Delta took his place and Mist, the first Ghoulette of Ghost, played bass.
Mist Ghoulette aka Water #5
Tumblr media
Bass. The same, as by previous Water Ghouls. The first Ghoulette of Ghost! Tiny, has blue eyes, a tattoo and ring on her finger. Cute as hell. Was quite calm and modest. Loved by fans. Her mask looked too big for her. Same could be said about the guitar. Since people still confuse her with Dew (due to small height i guess), the quickest way to identify her is to look at her finger nails. They were always painted :)
Joined in september 2016, left a the end of Popestar tour in november 2016.
In 2017 all of the former ghouls and Mist left and the new pack of Ghouls was introduced. All of them (except for Mountain) were +- same heigh as Terzo, so identifying them isn’t hard.
Ifrit aka Fire Ghoul #2
Tumblr media
Lead guitar. White Fantomen.  Hyperactive, full of energy, jumps, spins and moves a lot on stage. Papa III’s hype man. Loved interacting with fans, gestures a lot. The ghoul that can’t stand still. Has blue eyes, no visible tattoos or rings. Ray of sunshine (no really, he’s very sweet). Quite popular among fans. Loved interacting with Zephyr, Aether and Dewdrop.
Joined in march 2017, left in september 2017
Aether aka Quintessence #3 aka Banana ghoul
Tumblr media
Rhythm guitar. Black Fantomen. A bit taller than Ifrit and Papa III. Loves bananas. Has dark eyes, bracelets and a ring. No QE sticker on his guitar. Beefy, friendly. Also spins, dances and jumps a lot on stage. Was present in Terzo, Cardinal and Papa IV eras. Interacted with all of the Ghouls on stage. Was Cardinal’s favorite Ghoul. Was bullied by Sodo, but also annoyed him too sometimes. He and Sodo had pre Cirice guitar battles. Did backing vocals in Prequelle and Impera (in 2022) era.
Joined in march 2017, left in may 2023.
Dewdrop aka Water #6 aka Fire #3
Tumblr media
Bass, used by previous Water Ghouls (only during Meliora/Popestar era!) and lead guitar. White Fantomen during Prequelle era and white Fender Stratocaster since Impera era. A bit shorter than Papas and the rest of the ghouls. Slim. Popular among fans. Stompy, was naughty in era 3, but became muuuuuuch worse later. Horny i would say and even more aggressive. Ghoul equivalent of chihuahua. Shows middle finger, throws picks when he’s angry or annoyed by Aether. Was a Water ghoul in 2017, became a Fire Ghoul #3 in 2018 after Ifrit left. Licked his guitar, picks, tried to lick Rain, Aether and bullied Cardinal sometimes. HORNY during Mummy Dust. Vapes on stage, interacts with fans, loves choking Rain. Once hurt his finger, didn’t give a damn and continued playing guitar smearing blood all over it. Can also be a gentleman, is nice to Ghoulettes. Managed to break his leg on stage during Skeletour🙃
Joined in march 2017 and is still in Ghost (as of april 2025).
Zephyr aka chAir Ghoul #2
Tumblr media
Keyboard, synthesizer, keytar. Same height as Papa III, blue eyes. Quite active on stage, but can also be calm. Sits on chair a lot, but starts moving when he’s feeling it. Interacts with Ifrit and Aether. Cute as hell Keytar solo - 👇
youtube
Joined in march 2017, left in september 2017.
Ivy aka Earth #3
Tumblr media
Drums. Dark eyes, wears bracelets. Same heigh as Ifrit. Even though he had been in the band only few monhs, he did an amazing job.
Joined in march 2017, left in june 2017.
Mountain aka Earth #4
Tumblr media
Drums. Tall, slim, has grey eyes and a tattoo on his finger. Hates shoes. Quite popular among fans. Pretty calm, especially comparing to Pebble. Nice fella. Was present in Papa III, Cardinal and Papa IV era. Is now Perpetua's ghoul.
Joined in june 2017 and is still in Ghost (as of april 2025)
Prequelle era (april 6, 2018 - march 3, 2020)
The number of ghouls on stage has increased. Instead of 5 there were 7 ghouls. And this is the year when we got not one, but two Ghoulettes! How are they placed on stage? Like this:
Tumblr media
New ghouls of this era:
Rain aka Water #7
Tumblr media
Bass (same as by previous Ghouls) and black Fender Jazz bass. A bit taller than Dewdrop and Cardinal/Papa VI. Has dark eyes, beautiful hands, slim. Wears a ring. Quite calm comparing to the others. Opened up a bit more in Impera era. The only adult on stage, beside Ghoulettes and Mountain. Has to step in when Dew becomes a pain in the ass, also allows him to choke him during Year Zero. Wears a habit just like Swiss and the Ghoulettes during Skeletour. Also became naughty
Joined in january 2018 and is still in Ghost (as of april 2025)
Swiss aka Multi Ghoul
Tumblr media
Baritone (black Hangstrom) and acoustic guitar, tambourine, backing vocals. Plays cowbell during Umbra. Tall, slim, has dark eyes and biiiiiiiiiiiiig smile. Dances on his platform, tries to seduce other ghouls, acts possessed. Is in your walls. A manace to society. Vapes on stage. Loves interacting with fans and other ghouls. Known for his powerful shimmies. The horniest Ghoul of Ghost. Annoying the shit out of Sodo aka "jerking him off" was his main hobby in 2023. Also went to Aurora’s (see below) and Cumulus’ platforms. The most chaotic ghoul. In Skeletá era he also wears the same headpiece as the Ghoulettes! Kissed Papa Perpetua at his last ritual. Was quite calm during Skeletour
Joined in january 2018, left on april 22th 2025.
Cumulus aka Multi Ghoulette
Tumblr media
Backing vocals, synthesizer, tamboutine. Short, curvy, has amazing voice. No visible tattoos. Loves interacting with fans and other Ghouls/Ghoulettes. Dances and slays. Cirrus' bestie
Joined in january 2018, left in 2024/beginning of 2025
Cirrus aka Multi/Air Ghoulette

Impera era (january 25 th, 2022 - october 7th, 2023)
There were also a few changes in this era: new Ghouls and slight changes in the stage setting [see my older guide as tumblr only allows 30 pictures per post!]. In 2022 one more Ghoulette joined the Prequlle pack.
Sunshine aka Multi Ghoulette
Tumblr media
Backing vocals and tambourine. A bit taller than Cumulus, but shorter than Cirrus. No tattoos and rings/bracelets. Cutie. Dances and acts funny on her platform. Stood on Papa’s left.

In 2023 Sunshine and Aether left and were replaced by Aurora and Phantom. The rest of the Ghouls/Ghoulettes remained the same.
Phantom aka Quintessence #4
Tumblr media
Rhythm guitar. Black Fantomen and black Fender Jaguar (in Lachryma mv). Tall, slim, dark eyes. Loves interacting with fans and loves bats. A show off and a little bit chaotic. Quite confident despite being a newbie. Joins Rain and Sodo for epic into of Square Hammer and outro of Rats. Loves annoying Papa IV during Year Zero outro. Loves going to Aurora's platform and dancing with her. almost No visible tattoos, has black tapes on his fingers. Interacts with every ghoul/ghoulettes on stage. Entertains the crowd and also plays acoustic guitar in Skeletá era. Annoys the shit out of Perpetua
Joined in may 2023 and is still in Ghost (as of april 2025)
Aurora aka Multi Ghoulette
Tumblr media
Backing vocals, tambourine. Also plays keyboard instead of Cumulus during Skeletour. Full of energy. The shortest Ghoulette. Loves interacting with Swiss, Rain, Phantom, Haze, Cumulus and Dew.
Joined in may 2023, is still in Ghost (as of april 2025)
Skeletá era (March 5th, 2025):
There also has been a change: Cumulus has left Ghost and her place is now taken by Haze ghoulette.
Ghouls/Ghoulettes are placed on stage the same way they were in Impera era. They wear black skin tight sparkly costumes with bones. Their masks are silver with the grucifix of this era matching Papa Perpetua. The also wear kinky collars with bows
Every Ghoul's/Ghoulette's mask has different details: Dew has a mustache, Phantom a mole, Rain has his nose, Mountain has longer mask/smile lines, Aurora has rounder face, Cirrus has a tear streak under her right eye, Haze - black upper lip.
Source Dew, Phantom, Mountain wear hats and Rain, Swiss, Cirrus, Aurora, Haze - coif.
Haze aka Tempest aka Nimbus aka Multi Ghoulette
Tumblr media
Backing vocals + tambourine. She's taller than Aurora and slim. Stands platform next to Aurora, behind Dew (on Papas left). Calm, loves showing her bat wings, dances, blows kisses to Ghesties. Hangs out with Aurora, Dew and Phantom. Plays cowbell during Umbra since Swiss left.
Joined in February/March 2025
Honorable mentions:
Special Ghoul aka Phil aka Tobias
Tumblr media
Showed up for interviews and to grab some awards. Talked about albums, meanings of songs, ghildo and Papas. Worships cats, loves Abba. Slim, has green eyes. Wore Alpha’s uniform. Was present in Primo, Secondo and Terzo eras. Makes a lot of silly sounds.
Hasn’t been active since 2017
Cowbell Ghoul
Tumblr media
Plays cowbell in “Ritual” and “If you have Ghosts”. A freaking legend. Tall, has a posture of a shrimp. Always got shooed by Papa III. Only showed up at the end of Popestar tour in 2016. Brought many people joy with his presence.
And that was it….till the next era lol
Thanks for reading 🖤💜

What would be your recommendations for someone trying to get into Wanda?
There is so much Lore™ with Wanda that they never stop bringing up that you're always going to have questions and be a little confused, no matter where I tell you to start. That said:
Scarlet Witch by James Robinson: The Complete Collection
Scarlet Witch by Steve Orlando Vol. 1: The Last Door
Scarlet Witch by Steve Orlando Vol. 2: Magnum Opus
Scarlet Witch by Steve Orlando Vol. 3: Scarlet Witch & Quicksilver
Vision & the Scarlet Witch: The Saga of Wanda and Vision
There was a time when the answer for where to start with Wanda was some very old, scattered issues of Avengers, and nowadays, I feel like the solo comics are a good place to start. The last one is a collection of comics from the 80's, but those stories are focused on her and Vision.
From there, you can try out Steve Englehart's run on Avengers. Busiek's too, I suppose. Various events, both recent and old. It's hard because sometimes, rather famously, Wanda, as a plot device, will be very important in a story, but then she's barely in the story. Like, she's comatose, she's off-screen, people are talking about her and she's not there. Which, I think, makes them weird to recommend for her, in spite of what it looks like on paper. If you want lore, you can just read a summary of the lore.
And also, those comics are not the best quality and contain many questionable writing decisions, far beyond the normal stuff you get in Marvel comics. I often have quibbles with the things I recommend, elements I have outdated and insensitive, but there's a big difference between that and Disassembled, which I would be hard-pressed to say anything positive about.

Twenty Questions for Fanfic Writers
Thank you @liviapeleia for the asks <3!!
Tagging longtime frond @breadkween, fabulous runner of @merlinmicrofic @queerofthedagger (thank you!) and reader and writer who's left me lovely comments @achillesuwu. @mythandmagic, Ao3 is down rn so I can't check but if you have any fics yourself, here's an ask game for you! There's no obligation, presh or time limit of course! Also like @liviapeleia said before me, consider yourself tagged if you see this!
1. How many works do you have on AO3?
11
2. What’s your total AO3 word count?
265,960
3. What fandoms do you write for?
Right now just Merlin. I've written for other fandoms in the past but each of those works have been standalone.
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
Always His Destiny | Merlin | A true love's kiss, resurrection and golden age AU written for Glompfest 2024.
Like Every Tree Stands On Its Own | Merlin | A longfic inspired by other Arthurian media/sources featuring Wildman Prophet!Merlin and a magical forest. This is my magnum opus.
What's Mightier Than a Sword and Robs a Prince of His Servant? | Merlin | Pre-slash Merthur minor canon-divergence in which Merlin's talents in speech writing land him a promotion and Arthur is Not Pleased™.
Only Human | Venom | A short gift/exchange fic about masturbation, lol. The fic I received in exchange was also about masturbation. In my defence this was a writing exercise (I promise).
The Sky Is Falling | Nightvale | Unfinished fic about alcoholism recovery, love, community and the complete collapse of reality.
...Okay wow what a mix :D
5. Do you respond to comments?
I really love comments and I love getting into discussions with readers! It really makes my day to see that someone has commented on one of my fics.
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Am I allowed to choose a soon to be published WIP? Words Are Dead, a microfic inspired by the Agnes Obel song of the same name in which Merlin and Arthur are unable to communicate when Arthur returns. Merlin has lost Brythonic, his first language, and his capacity to relearn it. He's simply been alive for far too long and his mind has suffered :(
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Like Every Tree has a prolonged bittersweet kind of ending but I think Always His Destiny wins.
8. Do you get hate on fics?
Nope/not yet!
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
Yes, though so far it hasn't been the focus of any of my works, there's no reason why that can't change though (the Venom one doesn't count, I make the rules here). As to what kind I'd say loving and intimate, I guess? Sometimes with a bit of a hurt/comfort element to it. Again, no reason why I can't branch out in the future ;)
10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?
While not labelled as a crossover, Like Every Tree was heavily inspired by Arthurian media both new and old, and one medieval Irish source. I did so much research for this fic and I'm still down those various rabbit holes. It was a homage to my favourite, janky cartoon movie from my childhood Quest for Camelot. Otherwise I don't write proper crossovers.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Don't think so.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Also don't think so.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
No but I would love to!
14. What’s your all time favourite ship?
I guess it really has to be Merthur! I don't recall a ship ever having such a hold on me. Those two are doomed but made for each other. The way they interact is so much fun to read/write.
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
Damn, this is definitely Be Here When the Weather Turns, a Mushi-shi fic. It has a very soft, restful and liminal vibe and I adore it. I really do wish I can finish it someday. So sometimes like a song, you share a piece of media with someone, or you associate it with a particular chapter in your life, and that song/piece of media brings up feelings. I'd like to think it's still worth a read. If you don't know Mushi-shi, please consider checking it out, it was weird and quiet and beautiful.
16. What are your writing strengths?
I can't deny that I put a lot of love into this hobby. Also @breadkween has told me that they really like my dialogue :3
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
I'm really prone to typos. I can re-read something a hundred times and just fail to see them. I'm a very slow writer; what I put out usually goes through months of edits and change-ups. Lastly I have embraced a faux-pas or two for fun, such as starting sentences with 'and.' And no one can stop me >:)
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?
I'd only be comfortable writing dialogue in a language I've formerly learned and have some level of familiarity with for fear of getting something wrong.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
Okay I love this question because the answer is the highly formative Garth Nix's Keys to the Kingdom series, a YA series I was obsessed with, and have continued to read, and re-read as an adult and as unexpected prequels and sequels popped up in more recent years. I wrote it on a literal floppy disk :D First fandom I wrote for that I actually published online was Undertale.
20. Favorite fic you’ve written?
Definitely Like Every Tree. I'm just really proud of it :3

sleep token is constantly innovating while maintaining a core that is so "Sleep Token"™ that going into EIA with absolutely zero expectations for sound made it that much more enjoyable.
I can see why some folks may have experienced this album and not enjoyed it as much when they're approaching this release with a box they'd like EIA to fit in (which is very human and I'm not saying is wrong)
I can't imagine the trepidation they had when putting this album together on the heels of TMBTE and their monumental success. I mean we literally hear about that in Damocles!! Music is very deeply human and has turned into such a manufactured numbers game and that's tragic because we're seeing artists like sleep token battle with the pressure to create their magnum opus with every new release. That's just not sustainable and honestly shouldn't be expected
There's obviously no right or wrong way to appreciate or approach music and none of this post is to say that but yeah comparison is the thief of joy especially with music, I find.

Note
hey pookie, I was thinking about my own answer to this (for fun), but what fic of yours would you consider your Magnum Opus™?
mine is decimation and i assume yours is the incredible behemoth of smile more BUT I'm curious <3
So I feel like smile more is the go to obvious choice haha. I definitely feel like it’s what I’m most known for and what has been read and followed the most (also just realized how many words are in that thing goodness gracious haha). But I also feel like some secrets could be argued for, it was my first fic in lab rats and it’s what got me started on everything else and I truly do love it and some of the scenes in it are my favorite. It’s also a decently hefty fic in terms of word count in comparison to my other WIPs aside from smile more.

Cedar Inc. Organic BeeHive™
🌸🌺 🪷🐝🐝🐝
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This build is honestly my magnum opus of Minecraft art. It is a fully functioning bee farm (nearly a stack of honey blocks per hour iirc) and stylized as a dystopian industrial factory. Workers of Cedar Inc's anarcho capitalist society may one day, down on their luck, find themselves employed by Cedar Inc Organic BeeHive™ - where there were 26 worker deaths noted as "Sludge Phenomena" last year.
