the spring.
past the winter's storm
lies the sweet spring of life
hidden by the vines of darkness
and guarded by spirits of gold
and patient as a rock
it waits for thee to rise
Into the light of day

You have to keep loving on purpose. You have to keep going out of your way to love your friends and tell them you love them, and you have to think about your favorite foods, you have to watch nice shows and you have to cry so you can pick yourself up again. It doesn’t get easier and it wont stop hurting completely and loving will always be hard but you have to. We have to fight for it, cause if you didn’t, you could forget to love all the amazing things we have.
Keep loving, and it won’t get easier, but it can get better.

the sun creeps through the feathered seams of my curtains, finding it’s way into my tired eyes. forcing them open, i am silently reminded that i am alive and the day will be what i make of it. what will i make of my life?

Reject
Does it make sense
to reject
neglect
look through another lens
will it become one's drive
is it meant to be?
for you, for me?
slowly, does it lead
to a place, our key
to perhaps somewhere to thrive

The idea that humans are born to make an impact in society is a philosophical concept that suggests that each person has a unique purpose or role to play in the world and that they are capable of making a positive difference in their communities and beyond. This idea encourages individuals to think about how they can contribute to society and make a positive impact in the world, whether it be through their work, their relationships, their activism, or any other means. Making an impact in society can take many forms and can be as simple as being kind to others or as complex as solving a global problem. It is up to each individual to determine their own purpose and find the way that they can best make a difference in the world. Ultimately, the idea of being born to make an impact encourages people to be proactive and engaged members of society and to work towards creating a better future for themselves and for others. One of the most depressing things I’ve learned from studying history and learning about Malthusian traps is the wealthy claim of “no point in giving too much charity to the poor - there will just end up being more of them than the land can support” was...basically true. Now, you as a noble could be not-a-dick and care for your peasantry, and this would give you more supportive populations (who you could then draw on to wage war and take more lands, etc.). But the core problem was fundamentally there.
And the thing is, today, almost nowhere in the world is truly bound by Malthusian trap anymore. There are places that are still desperately poor. But even those are experiencing super rapid population growth. Right now, those areas are on a trajectory that could end up with them stuck again. But the ability for the world to support people is still large enough that the projection is that they’ll stabilize before they hit that point.
We can, and should, do more to help that happen faster. But as a species, we are on track to completely vanquishing Thomas Malthus within the next century.

Nihilism is silly i think.
Like, why does optimism get treated as the "stupid" option? It's a choice between thinking things will get worse versus thinking things will get better, and things just plain CAN get better. If there's an issue that you think needs addressing chances are there's a collection of hundreds of solutions that have been suggested, just pick whichever one you think works best and do what you can to see it through. don't have the resources or time to? that's okay!! help bring attention to it online!!
meanwhile with nihilism, it's just a boring "things are bad:(" like okay, and? what're we going to do about it? i KNOW things are awful, but i know we can and will fix things, and if not? at least i tried:)

People throwing around the term 'toxic positivity' to any instance of baseless positivity while in harrowing situation / state piss me offfffffff.
Like my bad I have I outlook that helps me keep loving the world. Someone else's outlook might not work for you, but that doesn't mean they're doing it 'wrong'
I think most people give way too much lee-way to negativity because they see negativity as more 'real' than positivity. They usually offer some kind of passive acceptance that's really just lazy optimisim, which I have no problem with, but when people dial up that mindset to a more active optimisim, now it's toxic positivity. So lame.

Shining Beacon: Embrace Self-empowerment and Optimism
You have to be your own light again I know your mind is so much occupied, while leaving your thoughts unidentified Believe me, this darkness is just for overnight I have always seen you as a shining beacon You were better off, more elated and significantly joyful in your own avenues. Of course, this dilemma of time shall pass through You made an ideal choice for yourself Though it was…
