“Of course it’s not, Opal-chan!” Chiyori declared rather resolutely as she finished flattening out the mattress that they’d put out on the floor. It was going to serve as the base layer for their sleeping spot.

They’d just spent an hour setting up a small tent in her apartment. They’d placed it so its opening was facing the TV. Now, in its full setup, the structure was taking up nearly all the space in Chiyori's living room — though, it was worth it! A few unpicked pillows laid scattered here and there.

“We’re doing a sleepover and watching Twilight!” Chiyori continued with the same adamant but enthusiastic tone of voice as she straigthened up her spine to grab for the DVD. Was Opal-chan really questioning the amount of fun this was going to be?

"Hm... a home visit to Greed would be good for Gritt, but possibly unsafe with his family ties. A time in Wrath would be adventurous, but he could get hurt by the wildlife. Lust could be an option, but he has a lot of... worrying fans. Gluttony maybe? Mm... maybe he'd go too wild."

"Be easier if I had a sin to guarantee he'd be alright."

His head was all full, thinking of what he could dream up to make the new Cabeswater a place worthy of Adam and his connection to it — and so far, it was all failure. Utter, fucking failure. He sits in the long barn, a place he know he won't be bothered, and he stares at the dirt below his feet. Why can't he do it? Sleep weighs at his eyes, but he won't give in. He's sick of dreaming up failures, of failing Adam over and over again.

His voice startles him — too far in his thoughts, it seemed. Despite the grave things that were plaguing him, Ronan smiles at Adam — a real one, but it falters once Cabeswater reenters his mind. Fucking useless. He thinks, standing up to meet him. “ Oh, you know. Usual shit. ” Ronan says, crossing his arms over his chest and sighing. He promised a better Cabeswater, and he was failing. Adam was leaving for college soon — it was get his ass in gear or ruin the thing that's making him the happiest he's ever been.

“ This Cabeswater thing is harder than I thought. I don't even know how I did it the first time. ” It was a beautiful place, a perfect place. A place that knew both Ronan and Adam inside and out, something he could never make again. He should have never promised to try and remake it — but Adam was so happy when he did. Damn it. Damn him. “ I dreamt a branch last night. Tried real hard to imbue it with whatever made Cabeswater special. Didn't fucking work. ” He puts his hands on his hips and lets a sigh fall from his lips, head tilting downward. “ I don't wanna talk about that right now. Tell me about work. ”

Adding more characters to my bg3 adjacent story. This is Opal and she is half-drow and half-unknown. She was raised in a terrible environment and seen as a curiosity because of her strange beauty; her caretaker was a brothel owner (that bought her) so you can imagine what she was introduced into since a young age. To escape that life she ended up marrying a man she does not love and treats her only VERY slightly better. To him she's just an object to brag about; she is unfortunately pregnant with his child. She meets Saga while trying to escape. And hopefully she eats all their brains.

Despite how rocky I see their first interactions being, they do end up being very close. If you know what I mean. Lesbians.

Her weakness as a kid is Nareena talking to the other kids about her- she doesn't care when Nareena insults her to her face, she's somehow glad Nareena's talking to her at all, that she's getting his attention, but when Nareena's so disappointed that she won't even bother telling her off? When Nareena talks about her like she's not there? It makes her feel guilty and double down twice as hard to try and get Nareena feeling guilty, too

In her ghost arc it's when Sokar finally starts screaming back. Sokar's always been kind, kind and soft and quiet, she always took whatever came her way, so Masha pushing her to that point hurts her even though it's exactly what she wanted, even though she screamed at her to be angry and hate her

Sokar as a kid had a terrible obsession with being "clean" or "holy"- she's trans and was raised in basically a cult, and watching the older sisters showcase femininity as something holy and pure mixed with the constant berating of how she's dirty and won't ever be what she wants to be made her obsessed w the idea of it to the point she'll tear at her own hair or scratch at her arms till they're raw, trying to "cleanse" herself of her wants and needs essentially. She does get better! Generally living on the surface + meeting Cassandra who believes in do whatever you want Forever has made her much more open- she doesn't force herself into things she doesn't enjoy for the sake of appearing smaller or more gentle. She means THE WORLD TO ME I love herso much oh this is so long my bad

Answering the door, Chiyori rubbed her eye with a loosely fisted hand. “Opal—“ She murmured, voice slurred. She'd just woken from a nap, and the sleep was still sitting deep in her bones. Though, was promptly interrupted by the sudden buzzing noise of the machine placed outside her door.

As cotton ball-like shapes began pouring out from the machine, landing in her hair and sticking to her clothes, Chiyori’s hand dropped back to its natural rest at her side. She blinked slowly, drinking in the sight. Was that… snow? Had Opal-chan brought her snow?

As soon as the birthday girl realized, her face lit up. A pleasant smile spread on her lips as she carefully extended both hands out in front of her, palms facing up to catch the drifting flakes. “That’s snow, Opal-chan!” She beamed softly, golden hues watching in wonder as white dots melted upon contact with her skin.

After spending a moment studying the artificial snow, her gaze lifted, attention shifting back to her friend. Then, with soft laughter, Chiyori hopped past the door to the other. “Opal-chan!” She called, arms looping around the pinkette's shoulders to pull her in for a hug. Her voice brimmed with cheer: “Thank you!”
