onyx would try his best to hide his identity, super low-key. he wanted to make sure you wouldn't get involved in their shenanigans. other than you helping their research, you were never explicitly apart of them.

they may have tried to let you join your side several times, but your density is probably enough to sink the brave asagi. they try to make it subtle though, but it doesn't matter cause you don't get t.

he was first curious about your occupation, trying to learn more about how professors do all their fancy things.

he compared you to friede, unlike friede you unknowingly help people when they were i need. that was something that peeked his interest, how could someone be so kind to people that could take it for granted?

he learned to appreciate your kindness, even if he can't get your reasoning. he should be great full you were dense enough to help them.

when they were looking for the shiny rayquaza, you immediately came to his mind (aye) he felt guilty using you, but he's evil. villains do whatever they can.

like spinel, he puts on this nice facade so that you won't see him as a threat and continue your research. they really can't blame you, when the person they say is apart of an evil organization is someone who's very kind to you.

maybe you believe them, maybe you dont. it is quite likely that the rvt will look for you too considering your knowledge about this rayquaza.

liko is a nice and sweet girl, but why would you believe her over the person you're more close with? that was your mindset, so whenever she told you about this "evil organization" you'd deny onyx ever being part.

you made so many excuses, "what onyx would never do that!", "onyx is a close friend of mine, he wouldn't do such horrible things."

you might confront him someday about it, but hey the shiny rayquaza is cool! and he looks even cooler. don't believe someone who doesn't even know that person very well...right?

Made some designs for mosntrified team Explorer members! mostly because of wanting to mosntrifying @indigodiskmybeloved's chained paldea trio and the existence of Laquium and it reminding me of the toxic chain. So, I made these fellows!

Rock/Dragon type.

And based on nodosaurids like Boreaopelta and Sedimentary rock.

BASALTIC FURY: LAQUIUM CORAL

Fire/Fairy type

BAsed on Terror birds like the seriema, Ultimate NRG by O.R. Ash and lava flows.

AGATE BRUISER: LAQUIUM CHALCE

Fighting/Psychic type

Based on Kommo-o, therocephalians and Metamorphic rocks.

PSYCHOTIC SPINES: LAQUIUM SPINEL

Pure Dark type (Dark/Poison when Enraged)

this episode broke my fucking heart bro i got so much amethio content but at what cost.

terapagos still pissed as hell at amethio, i don;t think he's related to lucius (like not blood relatives) but i think it's possible he resembles/is the descendant of someone lucius/terapagos knew in terapagos' eyes.

also not to let out my film student but when diana and hamber had that confrontation hamber's face was half light half shadow and diana's was illuminated by the moon almost entirely and i started hollering. its fuckinnnn symbolism babey!!! love that shit its so good mwah

really interested to learn about their whole deal. AND diana just hopping on arcanine and just leaping out the window no hesitation??? shes so cool i love her. we need more badass older women in media methinks (i wonder how strong her arcanine is?)

also tbh i forgot all about onyx's garganacl so when the pokemon living in the castle were crystallized i freaked out for a second thinking it had to do something with terapagos/tera crystals and terrastalizing. i wonder if we'll see something like that later on, like the ones in area zero?

also um liko win onscreen this is soooo epic!!! shes so cool guys look at her go. roy as well!

speaking of onyx, i wonder if he was brought on the mission partly to serve as damage control for sango? she's a sore loser and aggressive in both attitude and battle style (literally used self destruct girl HUH) and he was consistently acting as a guard. we didnt get to see too much of them which i guess is expected but i really wonder how they compare to the other explorers.

ough. amethio. i've seen a few people mention his more ruthless battling here (he did try to blow away friede's phone (i think?) and was more aggressive with his attacks) but here it read to me as more like. desperation. he seems like he's scrambling for any sort of purchase he can find to complete his goal, especially with his expressions after he lost. it really makes me wonder why someone so young is knee deep into this, and what he's trying to prove if anything

also it could just be a coincidence but amethio's and friede's battle on the rooftop reallu reminded me of their first ever battle on the roof of liko's school. ANDDDD the contrast of the first episode being liko in the darkness of the night, unsure of what lie ahead vs this episode, where she is carried off to safety in the care of her friends into the early hours of dawn and amethio being left in the wake HELLO does any one hear me

anyways i need to wait for subs to really understand. i think i am going to take a nap now

So Triangles in Lucius outfit and his belt.

And Amethios eyes, with pupils looking like triangles (by the way, the only character with those unique eyes)

im betting with my life it’s NOT a coincidence.

My theory:

Lucius has a friend (explorers leader??) with those eyes and he used the triangle in his outfit like a symbol of their friendship/alliance but then Lucius got betrayed by that friend.

It’s definetely shown, that Amethio IS important for the story, if Liko looks pretty similar to Lucius, i wont be surprised if Amethio looks similar to “the friend of Lucius”.

This is why both Terapagos and Rayquaza looked pretty angry with Amethio - they recognise similarities with friend-traitor of their beloved trainer in him.

Im so happy that my favourite character is important to the story god dammit finally it happened

hey new theme alert!! I'm still figuring everything out so uhh, this may change a few times... ill still write the same dw. 💙 onyx looks so funny with all this coquette around him, sorry this is short and may be ooc, because I haven't caught up with pokemon horizons in a while.

sidian is pretty quiet. he only opens himself to people he trusts the most, and he doesnt trust alot of people. the rising volt tacklers and the explorers being sworn enemies don't help this either, because of this you guys are pretty long–distance. how you guys got together is something even the old wise man couldn't figure out.

to make up with the time he barely spend with you because you're both busy, he sometimes tags along with your independent research when his work–load schedule is finally empty. its not that romantic, but he enjoys seeing you pursue something you love.

sidian is a closeted person, i don't think he'd want this relationship public at all! for one he thinks people shouldn't budge in to private matters (cough... sango?), and two again the explorers and the rvt don't mix well. it's up to you if you want to tell the rvt, but don't expect a good reaction from your mentor (friede) to be calm about this matter.

he wouldn't care much about your profession, and again as long as you're doing what you want he won't interfere with whatever it is. despite being sworn enemies sidian trusts the rvt, especially friede to watch over you.

sidian is an attentive listener, and will sometimes read your research journal if you allow him. he'll use the info you write about/tell him about to good, using them for comabt, survivability, etc. sango always gets irritated when he pulls some weird ass move and wins!

your relationship is preeetty complicated, but he will never let that stop you from doing what you enjoy.
