Dopamine Chapter 2
Previous Chapter
The next evening, Jada walked down the bustling streets of the red light district, her large black duffle bag over her shoulder. She hummed along to the music pumping in her ears from her phone as she marked a few dance moves, earning a few looks from passersby. “The fuck are you looking at?”
When they quickly made their way past, she scoffed as she adjusted her black Tshirt dress before turning to walk around the corner. Soon she came to the back entrance of her work, nodding to the bouncer patrolling the door as she entered.
Walking into the dressing room, she waved and said hello to the various girls inside until she laid her eyes on her best friend, Ito Sakura. She was a cute and petite woman with long soft pink hair and blue eyes. Sakura was the exact opposite of the kind of person Jada would seek out, but she was also the first person to befriend her when she had no one.
“Thanks for covering for me last night, Sakura,” Jada said as she unpacked her bag.
“No problem, girl. You deserved a night out.” The pink-haired woman smiled as she applied her makeup. “So how was it?”
The ravenette smiled to herself as she thought about the night she had spent with Top Pro Hero: Ground Zero. Dancing with him before he took her home. Spending the night with him underneath her as they both reached epic euphoria. “It was… fun.” I doubt she’d believe me anyway.
“You’re gonna have to do better than that, girl.” She laughed, grabbing her friend’s shoulders, shaking them. “I need details!”
“Let’s just say I was able to blow off some steam,” Jada smirked coyly as she brushed her off. “You know I can’t talk about it at work anyway.”
“Fineee…” Sakura pouted, returning back to her makeup routine. “I was just hoping to live vicariously through you. God knows I’m not going to meet anyone worth keeping here.”
“Not true… We get a few high dollar clients.”
“Like who?” The pink-haired woman questioned, looking pointedly at her friend.
“Mr. Sato blew 500,000 yen in one night.”
“Oh yeah, I forgot about that…. He’s kinda old though. What about Mr. Suzuki? He’s cute and drops mad dough.”
Jada scoffed, rolling her eyes as she changed into a pair of impossibly short shorts and a crop top, “Mr. Suzuki also has a problem with keeping his hands to himself.”
“But if he makes you his Mrs. then you’ll be set for life.”
“And how many girls like us have ever married high dollar clients?” The ravenette asked, crossing her arms.
“Cardi B did it!”
“Cardi actually made her own money and then got her hubby. I’m pretty sure her net worth is much more than his.” Jada clicked her tongue as she buckled a pair of 7-inch platform heels to her feet. “God I hate these shoes. I feel like a fucking horse.”
“Yeah, but the clients can’t get enough of them. Did you know once in a private room, a client asked me to step on his junk with them? Not my thing but he tipped well so whatever.” Sakura hummed, tapping her chin before shouting, “Oh I know! Amber Rose!”
“Did she actually marry Kanye or did they just date?”
“I don’t know but she was with him long enough to tell the world that he likes a finger in the booty!” The pink-haired woman giggled as she held up her little finger.
“Don’t knock it ‘til you try it, Baby!” The two friends laughed as they playfully shoved and nudged each other until a man popped his head into the dressing room.
“Hey, Jada! You’re up in 5!”
“Coming!” The dark-skinned beauty called as she put the finishing touches on her lipstick. As she made her way out the door the ladies in the dressing room all cheered her on, giving her playful smacks on the ass, but none were louder than her bubbly bestie.
“Pop that pussy, Mama!” Sakura cheered with a laugh. “Make that money!”
As Jada made her way onto the stage, she took a deep centering breath. She got into her opening pose in the dark as she heard the hoots and hollers from the audience surrounding the stage.
“Alright, alright, alright!” The MC of the club said into the microphone. “As our next act gets settled in here’s another reminder that here at The Secret Garden there is no flash photography or flashing of any kind. That’s right, keep it in your pants fellas.” He chuckled as he looked over to Jada, her giving him a nod that she was ready to begin. “Without further ado please welcome back to the main stage… the exotic beauty… with tits, ass, and legs for days…. Nubia!”
As the lights lifted, Kelis’ “Milkshake” began to bump through the club’s speakers, Jada starting her performance. She began to twerk before making her way to the single pole in the middle of the stage. Taking it in her grasp, she gave a few body rolls before launching herself around the pole, spinning with ease as she performed various tricks. The crowd cheered and threw their money onto the stage with each pole inversion, jump split, and discarded piece of clothing until her dance finally came to an end as he panted to catch her breath. (https://youtu.be/Eu8Tyr4B_EA)
After she quickly picked up her discarded clothes and tips and took them backstage, Jada made her way back onto the strip club floor. She walked around her in lingerie until a man called out to her, patting his knee. “Hey, Sweet Cheeks! Come sit on daddy’s lap.”
“You want a dance Mr.?” She smiled sweetly, walking over to him.
“I want much more than a dance but that’s a good start.”
Gross. “It’s 3,000 yen for a dance, 10,500 yen for the VIP lounge, and 27,000 yen for the Champagne Room. Plus tip.”
“Umm…” He chuckled nervously. “Just a dance out here is cool.”
Cheapskate. With a flip of her dark locs, she turned her back to him before lowering herself onto his lap. She rolled her hips against him to the pulsating music, taking her time. As she continued her ministrations the man grew more and more excited. This became even more apparent as she began to feel the hard tent forming in his pants. She sighed, trying her best to ignore it until the strange man began to grab and rub her thighs. “I know it’s very tempting but this is a no-touch club, Honey.”
“Sure, Sure.” He breathed, removing his hands.
The ravenette continued her dance, confident that he got the message. Turning around, she straddled his hips so that she was facing him, hoping that the eye contact would deter him. Unfortunately, his hands once again found his way to her skin, gripping her waist, his fingers playing with the clasp of her bra. “Hey.” She warned in a more stern voice. “Last warning.”
“Feisty! I like it.”
Jada clicked her tongue as she pried his hands off of her. The man smiled apologetically, but it didn't reach his eyes. After another deep breath, the dark-skinned beauty returned to her lap dance, rolling her hips against his lap while giving him a full view of her breasts.
Growing impatient, the man once again laid his hands on Jada, this time harshly grabbing her ass with both hands, pushing her further into his erection, a sick smirk on his lips. “Come on, Baby you can give me more than that.”
“I said hands off!” Jada yelled. Getting up from his lap, she drew her arm back to land a hard slap across his face, the sound of impact heard throughout the club.
“Ow!” He bellowed, jumping to his feet with his face in his hand. With his eyes filled with rage, he raised his hand as Jada instinctively flinched away, “Fuck you, Bitch!”
Jada closed her eyes, waiting for the blow that never came; instead, she heard a familiar calm deep voice that made her stomach churn just the same.
“What seems to be the problem here?”
The ravenette opened her eyes to see the Club Owner and her boss, Yamaguchi Eizan standing by as well as a club bouncer, holding the handsy man in a chokehold. She clicked her tongue as she crossed her arms, addressing her boss. “He grabbed my ass after 2 warnings!”
“I see,” Yamaguchi hummed, his cool expression irking her further. “Tanaka, can you see this gentleman out? After he pays for his dance with a generous tip of course.” The bouncer nodded and he wrestled the man out, ignoring the client’s shouts of protest. Once they were out of earshot, Yamaguchi turned his attention back to Jada, a frown beginning to form on his lips. “Nubia, can you follow me please?”
Jada felt a pit form deep in her stomach as she followed the man into his office, instinctively covering her scantily clad body. The loud music was almost nonexistent as the door closed behind them. He sighed as he sat down behind his desk, tapping his fingers against the mahogany wood.
He was a physically imposing man and classically beautiful. Perfectly coiffed black hair and dark brown eyes. He dressed in an expensive suit, expertly tailored. For all extensive purposes Yamaguchi Eizan was every woman’s wet dream. Jada knew better, of course.
“What the fuck were you thinking, Jada?” He finally seethed.
“What was I supposed to do?! He was groping me!”
“I can’t have you striking my clients.”
“So I’m just supposed to let them touch me?” She argued, only for Yamaguchi to rise from his seat, instantly shutting her up.
“I don’t think you understand the ramifications of your actions,” He breathed as he made his way over the beauty, his frame towering over her. “That gentleman is going to leave this club and tell his friends about his experience. He’s going to tell his friends about how a stripper slapped him for enjoying their dance. In return, his friends will not come here to relax and now that money will not be coming into the club. I don’t get paid, which means you don’t get paid. And...” He paused, taking a single loc of her hair between his thumb and forefinger, a soft smirk forming on his lips. “I know how tight money is for you these days. Keep in mind, my offer still stands to give you some relief.”
Jada fought the urge to look away, not wanting to wilt under his gaze. He was so close that she could smell the sandalwood of his aftershave, “I’m good. Thanks.”
“That’s right. You are good.” He said lowly, letting go of her hair as he stepped back, leaning against this desk. “You’ll do good to remember how good you have it here. I only ask that you dance for clients. If you were with someone else you wouldn’t be as lucky.”
“Okay, I get it,” Jada whispered, still holding herself.
“I’m glad we’re on the same page.”
The two were then interrupted by a knock on the office door. After an acknowledgment by Yamaguchi, the bouncer entered the room and handed him a large stack of cash. “Is this from the gentleman in question?” Yamaguchi asked. The bouncer just gave a nod and left the room without a word.
Yamaguchi hummed as he licked his fingertips before counting out the money. “That’s 8,000 yen for me…” He paused placing the stack on his desk. “And 2,000 yen for you,” He smiled as he offered the money to Jada.
“2,000? What the hell?” She protested, unfolding her arms.
“For the future revenue you just cost me with your stunt. Or would you prefer I kept it all?” He looked at her pointedly.
“Okay…” She frowned, taking the cash as she turned to leave.
“Remember, Love,” He called out as she stepped out of the room, the pounding music almost drowning out his words. “Things could be much worse.”
Jada sighed as she closed the door behind her, making her way back onto the club floor, “Some days I’m not so sure.”
____________________________________________________________________________
The next day, Ground Zero and Red Riot were out on their daily patrols, walking through the busy Tokyo streets. The red-haired hero smiled brightly as he waved to the citizens, Bakugou holding his usual scowl. Once he was confident no one was listening in, Kirishima nudged his friend, earning his attention, “You’re lucky Mina loves you since you ditched her on her birthday.”
“She’ll forgive me.” The blonde shrugged.
“What happened anyway? I left you at the bar and then you were gone.”
Bakugou once again thought over the happenings of two nights before. How he had bedded a mysterious woman, which he thought they both enjoyed, only for her to leave his side without so much of a care. “Long story short, I met a woman and took her home.”
“Bakugou, you dog!” Kirishima laughed as he slapped his friend on the back. “Now it all makes sense.”
“Yeah, sure whatever…” Bakugou grumbled before rubbing his neck nervously. “Hey… Has a girl ever bolted on you right after sex?”
The red-haired man quirked a brow, surprised by his question. “You let your love interests stay over now?”
“I don’t have any fucking love interests!” He barked before asking again. “Do they ever leave right after?”
“Right after?”
“Yeah.”
“Like right right after?”
“She literally came and went.”
“Like on her own? No coaxing?”
“She hopped off my dick and got dressed to leave.”
“Damn. I can’t say I have...” Kirishima sighed, scratching his chin. Looking over to his seemingly dejected friend, he gave him a nudge. “Look maybe she just had an early appointment in the morning or something? Girls have loads of random appointments!”
“Maybe…” The blonde breathed, avoiding eye-contact with his friend.
“Or you’re just bad in bed.”
“MAN FUCK YOU, SHITTY HAIR!”
Kirishima laughed as he dodged his friend’s explosions and hardened himself to take the hits that he couldn’t avoid. “I’m kidding! You know you do the exact same thing when you have one night stands at a girl’s place.”
Do I? Bakugou paused for a moment before scoffing, “That’s different!”
Red Riot rolled his eyes as he brushed off the soot and ash from his skin. “You said she came right?”
“Of course she did.” The blonde smirked proudly.
“More than once? You were, you know, generous? Foreplay and stuff?”
“Nah, believe me, she was fuckin ready to go.” Bakugou chuckled as he remembered her sprawled out on his bed with her fingers deep in her heat.
“There’s your problem bro! The ladies are all about the foreplay! You can’t get lazy and skip it. Not manly.” His friend only grunted in response but Kirishima could see the wheels turning in Bakugou’s head. “Why are you so worried about it this time anyway? You’ve always preferred one night stands. “Love is a distraction” and all.”
“I don’t know... She’s just different.” The blonde hummed before quickly recovering “And I never said anything about love!”
“Did you guys exchange numbers? Do you think she enjoyed herself enough that she’d let you take her out on a proper date?”
“Kinda...”
“Did she give you her number or did she take yours?”
“She took mine.”
Kirishima hissed in pain while he shook his head in disappointment.
“What?” Bakugou questioned.
“That’s not a good sign bro…” He sighed. “Mina does that when she wants to let guys down easy. She takes their numbers and then never calls.”
Ground Zero blinked up at his friend as he took in the news before a blanket of rage started to overshadow his disappointment. “Man fuck that! She’ll call! No woman can resist me! I’m a fucking catch!”
“Whatever you say, man.” Red Riot breathed as he patted his friend’s shoulder.
“You wish you could have as many women as me!”
“Dude, I’m happily engaged!” Kirishima laughed. “One woman is all I need!”***
“Shut up, Shitty Hair!”
As the pair began to get into another squabbling match out on the street, a loud ringing came from the pants pocket of the blonde hero.
“You gonna get that?” Kirishima laughed as he blocked another explosion.
With one last growl, Ground Zero dug into his pants pocket, taking out his phone and harshly answering the call, “What is it?!”
“Well hello to you too.”
The velvety smooth voice on the other line startled the hero as he cleared his throat, this time speaking much softer. “Who is this?”
“It’s Jada. Up for round two?”

Redmi Note 7 Review
Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 full review Following a Chinese launch in January the Redmi Note 7 officially went on sale in the UK on 7 May, charging straight into the top spot in both our UK and Chinese budget phone charts, knocking the Mi A2 Lite off its perch. It's the first phone from newly spun-off Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi, and as such it marks a huge departure from Redmi as you know it.
Headlining is a 48Mp dual-lens camera, and Redmi Note 7 was actually the first Xiaomi phone to pack such a high megapixel count - though Mi 9 then came along and did it better. There are some similarities between this budget phone and Xiaomi's flagship, but Redmi Note 7 is much more closely aligned in specs and performance with the Oppo F11 Pro, another Chinese phone that has not yet gone on sale in the UK (and may not ever do so).
It's also got a large 6.3in Full-HD+ screen and promises all day runtime from a 4000mAh battery with Quick Charge 4 support. Plus some users will be very happy to see the inclusion of a traditional 3.5mm headphone jack.
Xiaomi has kept down costs by specifying a mid-range Snapdragon 660 chip and 3- or 4GB of RAM, allowing this budget Android to be available from as little as £179. That's for the 3GB RAM, 32GB storage model, while the 6GB RAM, 64GB storage model we review here costs £199. There's also a 128GB storage version at £249. You can choose from Space Black or Neptune Blue colour options.
Right now GearBest is offering an incredible deal on the entry-level 3GB/32GB option, where it costs just £113.54.
You can also buy Redmi Note 7 direct from Xiaomi, or from retailers such as Amazon. It will also be available on a contract basis from Vodafone.
The Redmi Note 7 is available in Europe from 179€, but if you're looking to buy in the US you'll need to import it from a site such as GearBest or Geekbuying. The latter is currently stocking the global version of the top-end Redmi Note 7 at the discounted price of £170.01/$209.99/185.57€. Do remember to take into account potential import duty fees, which is calculated at 20 percent of the value on the shipping paperwork.

Redmi Note 7 Design & Build Redmi Note 7 is not all that dissimilar in design to the flagship Mi 9, which packs a fractionally larger (6.39in) screen into an ever so slightly smaller chassis. Both have tall 19.5:9 panels and slim bezels - naturally slimmer on the Mi 9, but the only place this is really obvious to the untrained eye is on its smaller chin.
Each also feature a Dot Drop (waterdrop-style) notch to maximise the available screen space and house the selfie camera, which is more obvious on Mi 9 with its larger 20Mp sensor (Redmi Note 7 has a 13Mp front camera). There's also a blink-and-you'll-miss-it slit at the extreme edge between the screen and frame for the earpiece.
Around the back you'll find some more obvious differences, however, with a dual- rather than triple lens camera on the Redmi Note 7, the Redmi rather than Mi logo, and a physical fingerprint sensor. All members of the flagship Mi 9 family now use an in-display fingerprint sensor.

Arguably physical fingerprint sensors typically work better than these early in-display versions, and though it might be a fancy new feature to have the omission is not a game-changer.
Redmi Note 7 review
We tested the Black version so were unable to enjoy the gradient finish of the Blue model, but in pictures it looks gorgeous. With a glass back and front the Redmi Note 7 has a very premium design for a phone at this price point, and is only fractionally thicker than Xiaomi's flagship family at 8.1mm, though you will notice that glossy frame is plastic rather than metal. That extra space inside the case enables it to include a capacious 4,000mAh battery, too, matching the spec of the recently announced Mi 9T.
Something you won't find on Mi 9 phones (save for the Mi 9T) is the Redmi Note 7's 3.5mm headphone jack, which sits on the top edge of the phone alongside another increasingly rare feature: an IR blaster. While phone makers are rapidly making the switch over to USB-C audio, there are still plenty of users who want to use their existing earphones without an adaptor. Redmi Note 7 also has a bottom-firing mono speaker for audio.
At 6.3in the display is expansive, and ideal for watching high-resolution video and playing games. This is not the same AMOLED technology on Mi 9, but it's still good for the money, and actually nearly as bright - we recorded 398 nits using a Spyder. With a 2340x1080 Full-HD+ resolution everything is super-clear, too.
Although the Redmi Note 7 runs MIUI 10, on our review sample the system-wide Dark Mode setting found in the flagships is not available. It's possible this will come in the next update, with the Redmi running 10.3.2.0 and our Mi 9 running 10.3.3.0. This is useful not only because it seems to be the latest trend to do everything in Dark Mode, but because it drastically reduces the screen's impact on battery life.
The Redmi Note 7 also lacks the Ambient Display (always-on) mode found in Xiaomi flagships, which can additionally help you maintain battery life by reducing the frequency with which you feel you need to wake the phone to check the time or notifications. That could be an issue here, since Redmi Note 7 has the most ridiculous notification LED we've ever seen - it flashes up below the screen but is the tiniest little dot you could easily miss it completely.
Redmi Note 7 review
None of Xiaomi's current smartphone line-up is waterproof, though we wouldn't necessarily expect to find this feature at this price anyhow. Xiaomi also keeps down costs by excluding wireless charging from this phone, though it does support Quick Charge 4 and is supplied with a 10W USB-C charger in the box.
As with all Xiaomi phones you'll also find a silicon case is supplied, a nice touch given that these are not easily obtainable in UK High Street stores. The Note 7 does feature Gorilla Glass 5 to help protect it from scratches, but it is not infallible.
Redmi Note 7 Core Hardware & Performance The Note 7 is fitted with a 2.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 14nm chip, which integrates an 850MHz Adreno 512 GPU. This is a step down from the also mid-range Snapdragon 712 and 730 found in the Mi 9 SE and 9T, but there's not a huge difference in performance - at least not anything the average user would be able to perceive - as you'll see in the comparison chart below.
You'll have seen this chip before, in the likes of the Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite, Xiaomi Mi A2, Nokia 7 Plus, Samsung Galaxy A9, Elephone U Pro and so forth. It's quite a popular processor. And while Redmi Note 7 is not significantly faster than any of those other phones that use it, something you should note is that it is significantly cheaper.
The Redmi Note 7 offers capable - if not flagship - daily performance, and provided you don't turn up the detail too much some very playable framerates. In GFXBench's T-Rex and Manhattan tests we recorded 46- and 21fps, for example.
The 4000mAh battery inside is good for a day's use, but no more. In Geekbench 4's battery test we recorded 7 hours 16 minutes, which is actually a pretty middling score and a little lower than we had anticipated given the huge capacity of the battery.
As we mentioned earlier on in this review you get a choice of 3- or 4GB of RAM. We tested the latter, and this is the version we recommend for the best performance, especially when it costs only an extra £20.
Redmi Note 7 review
A major advantage of Redmi over Mi is its support for storage expansion, so there's no reason why you shouldn't opt for the lower-capacity version and bolt on extra storage later, if and when you need it. Redmi Note 7 can accept microSD cards up to 256GB via a hybrid SIM tray - you must choose between dual-SIM functionality and storage expansion. If you do opt for a second SIM instead, know that either SIM slot can be used for 4G data, but unlike with the Mi 9 family you can't use 4G on both at once.
In terms of connectivity there's also dual-band 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS and an IR blaster. You will not find NFC for making mobile payments, so if this is important to you step up to the Mi line.
Redmi Note 7 Cameras & Photography For a budget phone the Redmi Note 7's cameras are pretty good, though not quite as good as the marketing might have you believe.
The star of the show is a 48Mp lens that by default actually takes 12Mp shots. This is because it combines four pixels into one, averaging out the quality, exposure, colours and so on to create one significantly better-looking super pixel.
This is paired with a 5Mp secondary lens for blurred background (bokeh) shots, and together the Note 7 is capable of some decent - if a little dull - photography, given good lighting. Zoom right in and some noise is visible, but zoomed out the results are more than acceptable for a sub-£200 phone.
In low lighting the camera has more work to do, and even in Night mode it still struggles. Here you need to be really careful to keep the camera still for what feels like forever as it processes the shot. Though it did a good job of picking out different colours, including the different shades of black, text can be a little fuzzy and edges less well defined. Not a bad result, but equally not the best.
This is an AI camera, which means Xiaomi's software can intelligently set an appropriate preset for the shooting scenario. The app is very easy to use, and you can quickly switch between photo and video, Portrait, Night, Square, Panorama and Pro modes, and there's a shortcut for preinstalled Google Lens right within the app, too.
There's also an option to shoot in 48Mp, though all this is going to really do for you is gobble through your storage, since the results are not any better for the extra pixels.
The Redmi Note 7 supports 1080p video capture at 30- or 60fps with image stabilisation, but 4K and slow-mo video is off limits.
Around the front is a 13Mp AI camera for selfies, and in this mode the app offers quick access to various beauty settings.

Redmi Note 7 Software The Redmi Note 7 runs MIUI 10, which is a custom version of Android 9 Pie. Since we're using a Global ROM model it comes preinstalled with Google services and an English-language keyboard and interface, so setup is as simple as on any Android phone.
You will find Xiaomi offers its own version of most Google apps, which does mean there's some duplication here, and most cannot be deleted (or removed from the app tray-less home screen, though you can tuck them away in a folder where they will remain out of sight and out of mind). This is for good reason, since Chinese ROM MIUI devices don't have those Google apps. Some of these apps are pretty decent, however, so either use them, or don't - there's enough storage that you don't really need to worry about them.
Redmi Note 7 review
We noted earlier that the Redmi Note 7 currently lacks the Dark Mode and Ambient Display found on the Mi 9 family. The software is pretty much the same in other respects, and there are some great extras only found on Xiaomi phones such as Dual Apps and Second Space.
A Split-screen mode is also found in the recents menu, with is accessible either from the onscreen button or by swiping from the bottom of the screen and then pausing before lifting your finger in the gesture-only Full Display mode.
While the notification LED is so pathetic that you're likely to miss it completely, you do get individual app control over which are allowed to display notifications on the lock screen or float at the top of the screen, which means only the most important will be allowed to distract you. Finding your way around the settings may not be immediately obvious, however.
Redmi Note 7 Conclusion Redmi Note 7 is a very decent mid-range phone with a budget price. In the UK budget smartphone market none of its similarly priced rivals (think Mi A2 Lite, Honor 10 Lite, Moto G7 Power) even come close.
In design it's not all that far removed from Xiaomi's flagship, with a similarly large and almost as bright display, but it's not of quite the same quality. In performance most users would not be able to separate Redmi Note 7 and Mi 9 SE, and it's as capable as many phones costing £350.
Compared to the flagship line it adds microSD support and a headphone jack, but loses the wireless charging, in-display fingerprint sensor and NFC for mobile payments. The triple-lens camera is here reduced to a dual-lens model, but still has a huge 48Mp lens headlining.
On paper the capacious 4,000mAh battery looks amazing; in reality you should get a full day's use from it.

Texting will also be more fun with Assistant voice typing, which now automatically suggests emojis that are relevant to messages. Users can also search for emojis with their voice. 5G phones available now
5G phones by brand
Apple
There’s absolutely no doubt Apple will pick up 5G eventually, so the only question is when. At the moment, the whispers indicate that the iPhone giant won’t be looking to release a 5G iPhone until 2020 — so expect 5G capabilities on the iPhone in 2020.
This is no surprise, really. Apple can be slow to adopt new technology, just look at how long it took for it to adopt wireless charging and water-resistance. That’s not because Apple is lazy — far from it. Instead, Apple will likely only include the standard once it’s sure it works well and is not a waste of time. Being in a dominant market position, Apple can afford to wait.
Apple phones rumored to support 5G
Google
There haven’t been any rumors from Google about a 5G update for the Pixel range but it’s early days yet. The Pixel 4 came and went without a 5G variant, leading many to suspect the Pixel 5 may be the first 5G-supported Google phone. However, rumors have reached our ears of a 5G model of the Pixel 4a. If so, this would be a real surprise. Google’s midrange Pixel line may only have debuted last year, but it wasn’t expected to be the pioneering branch of the Pixel line where 5G is concerned. However, if true, this could be an excellent way into the 5G market for anyone who doesn’t want to spend big bucks on a 5G flagship phone.

HMD Global (Nokia)
Well, it had us waiting for some time, but HMD Global has finally revealed the Nokia 8.3 5G — the first 5G-enabled Nokia phone.
While we’ve been waiting a while for this phone, it was more-or-less a foregone conclusion it would arrive eventually. Nokia has been very active in helping to build 5G infrastructure and was involved with 5G networks for the 2020 Olympics. In July 2018, T-Mobile also announced it was working with Nokia to help build a U.S. 5G network. Nokia could also make $3.50 for every single 5G phone released, thanks to its work on the standard.

Honor
Due to the Android licensing issues surrounding Huawei and Honor, the launch of Honor’s first 5G phone — the Honor V30 5G (also known as the Honor View 30 5G) — was a somewhat muted affair in the west. Still, it exists, opening the 5G floodgates for Huawei’s sister company. Are we likely to see more Honor phones with 5G? Absolutely. It seems sure the Honor 30S will launch with 5G after Honor president George Zhao was pictured on social media with it.

HTC
Despite rumors saying we’d be seeing a 5G HTC smartphone in the second half of 2019, we’ve heard very little from HTC. New rumors are saying a 5G HTC phone will arrive sometime in 2020. However, considering HTC’s terrible 2019, we wouldn’t be surprised to see such a phone pushed back again.
While we still haven’t seen a 5G phone from HTC yet, it has released a 5G hub your phone can use to connect to a 5G network.
Huawei
Huawei has made no secret of its ambitions for 5G, and first spoke about a handset with 5G support in February 2018. Back then, 2019 was the target date for release, and Huawei has hit that with the release of the folding, 5G-capable Huawei Mate X. Since then, Huawei has made hay, releasing the MatePad Pro 5G and Mate 20 X Pro 5G. We’re also expecting the upcoming P40 range to support 5G in at least one model.
With the Kirin 820 5G chip posting incredible benchmarks and Huawei being put in charge of building a lot of the UK’s 5G network, the 5G future is looking bright for Huawei.

LG
LG was hot out of the gate, and teamed up with Sprint to deliver the LG V50 ThinQ in early 2019, becoming one of the first 5G devices to hit the market. In fact, LG was so keen to get in on the 5G trend that it pushed the V50 ThinQ out a lot earlier than expected, with the phone landing on 20 June. LG gave 5G a rest for the LG G8 ThinQ, and has seemingly made it a V-range staple, adding 5G to the dual-screen LG V60 ThinQ.
LG phones confirmed to support 5G
Motorola/Lenovo
Motorola is in something of a unique position on this list because not only has it already released multiple phones with 5G capabilities, it’s also updating previous phones with 5G connectivity through a special Moto Mod. The Moto Z4 and Moto Z3 use Motorola’s Moto Mod attachment to add a 5G power pack accessory onto the back of the phone, making it possible to access 5G networks. The Moto Z2 Force, a 2017 flagship, will also get access to 5G through the mod after its Android Pie update — but only Verizon models will get that update.
The 5G Moto Mod wasn’t ready for launch earlier, but it’s finally available for from Verizon, having been released to match the switching on of Verizon’s 5G network.
But don’t expect Motorola to slow down just because it’s taken an early lead. 2020 is looking to feature more than a few Motorola phones with 5G, and top of that list is the Motorola Edge Plus. Motorola president Sergio Berniac has claimed the upcoming flagship device will sport the fastest 5G connection on the market. However, due to the cancelation of MWC, Motorola seems to have slowed down its release schedule.

OnePlus
OnePlus hasn’t gone mad with 5G releases, but it did jump on the bandwagon early with the OnePlus 7 Pro. The OnePlus 7T Pro was OnePlus’s second 5G phone, and OnePlus has continued its 5G support in the OnePlus 8 Pro. It’s probably a signifier of the increased maturity of 5G that OnePlus chose not to include “5G” in the title — essentially, it’s becoming more and more commonplace. Best of all, for fans of cheaper hardware, the OnePlus 8 also includes support for 5G.
OnePlus phones that support 5G
Oppo
Despite making early waves by being the first to access a 5G network, Oppo didn’t really capitalize by releasing a slew of 5G devices quickly. But that doesn’t mean it’s done nothing, and there are now a number of 5G Oppo devices available.
The Oppo Reno 10x Zoom 5G was the first, releasing in the U.K. on June 7. Since then, we’ve seen the China-only Reno 3 Pro 5G, and the stunning Find X2 Pro as well.
Oppo phones that support 5G
Realme
Relative newcomer Realme has so far excelled at providing strong phones at reasonable prices, and that philosophy has extended to its first 5G phone. The Realme X50 Pro 5G is a flagship-level device with a solid camera system that starts from just $650, making it one of the cheapest ways to access 5G.
Realme phones that support 5G
Samsung
Samsung is the largest mobile manufacturer in the world, and it would be silly to expect it to sit back and ignore 5G. Despite saying the S10 wouldn’t be Samsung’s first 5G device earlier in 2019, the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G was Samsung’s first 5G phone, with the Galaxy Note 10 Plus 5G being the second, just pipping the Galaxy Fold to the post. As expected, the Galaxy S20 range has its fair share of 5G phones. While the smallest phone, the Galaxy S20, doesn’t support 5G, the S20 Plus and massive S20 Ultra both have 5G-enabled models.
Samsung announced a new focus on its midrange phones in 2018, and it has underlined that with the introduction of a 5G version of the midrange Galaxy A90. That said, while cheaper than Samsung’s more expensive flagships, it still costs about $800, so it’s hard to call it affordable. Samsung has rectified that a little bit by launching the Galaxy A71 5G and A51 5G, offering 5G connectivity for just $600 and $500 respectively.
Samsung phones that support 5G
Sony
While we didn’t see a 5G Sony phone in 2019, 2020 has seen the reveal of the Sony Xperia 1 II, Sony’s first 5G phone. Due to be announced at the ill-fated MWC 2020, Sony’s new flagship phone sports an upgraded camera, the Snapdragon 865, and a massive CinemaWide OLED display.
Will there be more 5G Sony phones? Sony is on Qualcomm’s list of 5G partners, so it makes sense we’ll be seeing more 5G-enabled phones from Sony over the year.
Sony phones that support 5G
Xiaomi
Chinese juggernaut Xiaomi laid its cards on the table earlier than most, announcing a 5G-capable model of its Mi Mix 3 was in the works. Xiaomi took to MWC 2019 to reveal the phone and released it in May 2019, making it one of the first companies to release a 5G phone. Since then we’ve seen a modest number of 5G offerings from Xiaomi, including the Xiaomi Mi 10 and the concept phone, the Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha.
Xiaomi phones that support 5G
ZTE
ZTE’s first 5G phone came in early 2019 when the Axon 10 Pro 5G released in Europe and China in May 2019. ZTE was a little quiet for the rest of 2019, but came roaring back in 2020 with the ZTE Axon 10s Pro. Like most other smartphone brands, these 5G devices are flagship-level phones, and come with top specs. ZTE’s sub-brand Nubia also announced a 5G phone: The Nubia X.

💡 Tip of the Week
supported by
Meaningful Formatting
While most of us use the '-' (dash) character as a way of denoting "negative" values, it is not accessible to screen readers. In order for assistive technologies to return the intended meaning, '&minus' should be used instead.
The following examples show how a screen reader would read out currencies:
$10 will read as "ten dollars"
-$10 will read as "ten dollars"
−$10 will read as "minus ten dollars"
This can get a bit more complicated when using the Intl.NumberFormat API as it naturally returns a dash. In order to return an accessible value one should replace the dash with "&minus" as shown below:
new Intl.NumberFormat('en-US', {style: 'currency', currency: 'USD'}).format(-10).replace(/-/, '−')

Oneplus 7 pro specification And Review
OnePlus 7 Pro 12GB RAM smartphone runs on Android v9.0 (Pie) operating system. The phone is powered by Octa-core (2.84 GHz, Single core, Kryo 485 + 2.42 GHz, Tri core, Kryo 485 + 1.8 GHz, Quad-core, Kryo 485) processor. It runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Chipset. It has 12 GB RAM and 256 GB internal storage. OnePlus 7 Pro 12GB RAM smartphone has a Fluid AMOLED display. It measures 162.6 mm x 75.9 mm x 8.8 mm and weighs 206 grams. The screen has a resolution of 1440 x 3120 pixels and 515 ppi pixel density. It has an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and a screen-to-body ratio of 88.3 %. On the camera front, the buyers get a 16 MP Front Camera and on the rear, there's a 48MP + 16MP + 8MP camera with features like Fixed Focus. It is backed by a 4000 mAh battery. Connectivity features in the smartphone include WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, Volte, NFC and more.
Design
As delicate as it looks, OnePlus 7 Pro is indeed a heavy smartphone once you pick it up. We did find it heavier than Samsung Galaxy S10 smartphones. That may primarily be because of the larger battery, use of denser metal construction and even a separate retractable camera module. Nonetheless, the device feels balanced and it indeed is easy to use. It’s definitely sleeker than before and taller as well with 6.7-inch screen size. The ‘premium’ feel comes largely because of the all-glass front with curved sides and zero distractions in the form of notches or punch holes.
Display
If there’s one thing that OnePlus has proclaimed is a massive improvement over the last year’s flagship OnePlus 6, it’s the near bezel-less screen. And by saying near bezel-less we mean seriously thinner bezels than what’s present in Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus, something which by default makes the 7 Pro’s screen impressively immersive. The company has already adopted OLED screens with older smartphones and the 7 Pro just creates a new benchmark with a QHD+ Fluid AMOLED display that has HDR support, all clubbed with 90Hz refresh rate. Yes, we have seen 90Hz AMOLED screen in the past with Asus ROG Phone but this one has an elegance of its own with near-zero top and bottom bezels with curved sides, making the viewing experience nothing less than ‘eye-popping’.
Performance
Over the years OnePlus has made such an impression of its smartphones that one is bound to expect the top of the line processors. Keeping the tradition, OnePlus 7 Pro harnesses the power from Qualcomm Snapdragon 855. This also makes the device first in the country with this processor. Samsung Galaxy S10 smartphones also come with the same processor but not in India. The processor is clubbed with Adreno 640 and up to 12GB RAM, the variants which we received. You can also get it in 6GB and 8GB RAM variants, which should be equally powerful. Needless to say, playing games, working on multiple apps, streaming videos and music, the experience iOS as smooth as it gets. The big question, however, to ask is if the smartphone really takes advantage of 12GB or even 8GB RAM capacity or just shows-off with no real use.
Camera
With OnePlus 7 Pro, the company has finally joined two new bandwagons - triple rear cameras and a front-facing pop-up camera. The center camera placement design is retained from the OnePlus 6 and 6T except that there’s a third lens in the mix. The camera sensors have been upgraded this time along with the specifications and the overall quality. You get a 48MP Sony IMX586 primary camera with 1.6 um pixel size, 7P lens glass, OIS, EIS, and f/1.6 aperture. This comes with an 8MP telephoto camera (3XL optical zoom) with 1um pixel size, OIS and f/2.4 aperture and a 16MP ultra-wide angle lens with f/2.2 aperture and 117-degree FoV.
Battery
OnePlus smartphones were already a champion in the battery department and OnePlus 7 Pro just carries forward the torch. The 4000mAh battery is one of the longest-running ones (in a single charge) we’ve seen in an Android smartphone. We used the device as our primary driver, making it perform tasks like checking multiple email accounts, browsing social media for hours, playing games non-stop for 3-4 hours in a stretch, streaming audio, videos, all while keeping auto-brightness activated and the display on 90Hz refresh rate. All of this gave us an impressive 14+ hours worth of juice on an average. The screen on-time performance was consistent at 6 hours and above, which is good given the powerful specs and display features. The main counteracting element here is the screen and reducing the animation to 60Hz could give you slightly more battery life. We didn’t feel the need to play around with the refresh rate options as the overall performance was good.

Watch The OnePlus 7 Pro was one of the best flagships of 2019. In true OnePlus fashion, we will now get a “T” variant with upgraded specifications and other minor refreshes. As per the latest rumors, the launch date has been set for September 26. Historically, OnePlus’ T series flagships have been announced in mid-October. Taking that into consideration, a September-end launch is a little unusual. Moreover, leakster Ishan Agarwal suggests that the OnePlus 7T series will launch in India first, before making its way to other countries in the coming weeks. 1 Mulga ( ) Australia Sammy the Gorilla (2017)
3-4 promotional images for Samsung TV, The Frame
A Cole Latimer smh.com.au sourced: 16/07/17
...Well-known Australian artist Mulga created a unique piece on-site as part of the event [the television launch] while his existing works were showcased behind him on one of the new televisions. Mulga is best known for his street art featuring bright colours and intricate lines...
B campbellandhall.com sourced: 16/07/17 Mulga is Joel Moore, a Sydney based artist, freelance illustrator and poet who paints murals, designs t-shirts and runs the Mulga clothing label. They do say life can imitate art, and with Joel's bushy pirate beard, sunglasses, flat-cap, and easy-going personality, you can probably see a similarity in his artwork. Known for his unique style of intricate line work & bright colours,
Mulga’s art 'brings to life a world where tropical bearded men run rampant, lions smoke tobacco pipes, tigers wear diamond sunglasses and gorillas rule the world like some kind of funky planet of the apes.'...He's a pretty cool dude. "I hand draw my art using Posca paint markers and recently have been loving painting with flouro paint. Someone once described my art as 'it pulsates with an untrammelled use of colour and is made up of textured shapes and intricate line work that transcendently floats with emotion.' Someone really described it like that, no joke! Sounds pretty good to me.
"Joel only had his first art show launching his art career in early 2012, although it comes across as he's been a pro at this a lot longer - Since then, he's had 40 shows, won gold at the 2013 Illustrators Australia awards, and been the finalist and peoples choice winner at Hazelhurst's 2013 Art on Paper prize. His creative portfolio to date is an impressive one to say the least, and Joel's recent work has included; Microsoft, Virgin Mobile, MTV, Adidas, Mambo, Schweppes, Sol Beer, Channel 7 Sunrise, Australia’s Got Talent, Beach Burrito Co, and Tommy Franklin to name a few!
"I enjoy writing a weird poem for every one of my creations because who doesn’t like a weird poem - plus it’s a neato way to make people smile...the truth is I just want to paint rad pictures that I love and that other people love and that make people smile like a crocodile."
Joel is currently writing and illustrating a kids book, and also keeping busy painting murals on building, in buildings, running workshops, painting live at events whilst collaborating with awesome people and organisations.
Have you always been a keen painter? I have always loved doodling and drew lots of dodgy muscle man characters and Bart Simpson heads when I was a young boy. If there is a pen nearby I cannot help but to doodle something out, I think it is an addiction.
What gets your creative juices flowing the most? Being able to paint big bright hairy things is really fun. Developing new and different ideas and realising that they could really work gets me excited to paint them.
Which artists are you a big fan of?At the moment I am really inspired by artists who are painting awesome artworks on large walls on buildings. A couple are Fintan Magee, Low Bros, Alexis Diaz, and Nychos.
What has been a highlight of your work so far? Being able to be an artist full time and support my family has been a massive highlight. It has been the realisation of my dream to have a job that I actually like to do.

Importance of Websites for Restaurants
The post Importance of Websites for Restaurants appeared first on HostGator Blog.
When you’re tired of cooking yourself and ready to get food that’s been prepared by somebody else, what’s your first move? You turn to the internet.
Whether that’s to head to the website of a restaurant you know you like, or to do some searches to find a new one to try, most people start the process of getting a meal from a restaurant online.
That was often true before COVID-19, but today pulling up a restaurant website to peruse the menu, check for takeout and delivery options, and place orders is an even bigger part of the typical process of “eating out.”
If you don’t have a website for your restaurant, trust that many of your potential customers will end up looking for an eatery that does.
10 Reasons Websites for Restaurants Are Important
A website is a restaurant’s main home online. It’s the place customers that already know you will check first when they want information about you. And it’s the main way new customers looking for options when they’re hungry will learn about you.
Having a restaurant website provides a number of undeniable benefits.
1. A website shows legitimacy.
For any type of business, many consumers see a website as a clear sign the business is established and trustworthy. Not having one can make you seem amateur or sketchy by contrast. A restaurant website that looks professional and provides accurate information demonstrates to potential customers that you’re running a reputable business.
And when it comes to food—where the stakes of eating bad food are high (food poisoning is no joke)—showing your audience you take running your restaurant seriously is important.
2. A website makes your restaurant easier to find.
When someone wakes up hungry and types “breakfast taco near me” into their phone or laptop, they’re only going to see results that have an online presence.
While a website isn’t technically required to show up in a Google search—a Google business listing is enough—having a website still plays a big role in how easily customers are able to find you online.
In deciding which businesses and websites should show up on page one in a search, your website authority is one of the things Google’s algorithms take into account. If you don’t have a website for your restaurant at all, you don’t have a way to build authority, which means you’ll show up less often in relevant searches. And the times you do show up, when people see there’s no website link in your Google listing, they may skip to an option that does have a site that makes it easy for them to learn more about the business and food they serve.
And since people who like your food don’t have anything to link to when recommending you, you’ll miss out on online promotional opportunities.
Say a local food blogger loves your breakfast tacos. If they’re able to link back to your website in a review, it both increases your website authority and gives their readers an easy way to check out your restaurant. Without that link, readers don’t have a clear, authoritative place to learn about your restaurant and are less likely to follow through and give you a try.
3. People can browse your menu.
Before committing to a specific restaurant, people want to know what they’re getting in for. What specific food options do you bring to the table? When your menu is right there online, you make it easy for potential customers to review their options and decide what looks good.
Making your menu available online is useful for everyone, but becomes especially important for any potential customers that have food allergies or are picky eaters. For example, someone who can’t eat gluten needs to know before they show up to your restaurant whether there’s anything on the menu they can actually eat.
If your menu isn’t available for them to look over in advance, you risk having to deal with unhappy customers that show up hungry and can’t eat (or don’t want) anything you have to offer. And you increase the likelihood that people you could feed don’t show up at all, because they can’t confirm your restaurant has anything they’d want.
Pro tip: Whatever format you load your menu in, make sure it works well on mobile! A lot of people make decisions about where to eat while on the go. They want to see what’s nearby when they’re hungry on their way home from work or finishing up errands. For these customers, being able to see what their menu options are on their phones can be a deciding factor in their decision about whether to order with you, or go with another area restaurant.
4. You can load mouth-watering images of your food.
Food appeals to more of our senses than just taste. While you can’t use your website to get people’s taste buds watering via the yummy smells of your cooking, you can show them how delectable your dishes look. Take advantage of the visual medium of websites to show off your tastiest looking entrees and appetizers.
Food that sounds good can become downright irresistible once people can get a glimpse of how it looks. Plus original images of your food are a good way to make a website experience stronger. They make the brand experience people get from your website more memorable, and give you more places to optimize your website for search engines.
5. Online ordering is now expected.
Now that most of your consumer base is sheltering in place, the main way people are frequenting restaurants is through online orders. If you don’t have a website, you aren’t giving housebound customers a way to order from you.
The best way to keep up business for the course of the pandemic is to make sure people have easy options to place takeout and delivery orders through your website.
Getting that set up now means that you can reap the benefits of the additional income stream online ordering provides once the danger passes. Creating your own system of taking online orders through a website can also save you from a dependency on third-party delivery services that often take too much off the top for restaurants to make any profit—especially if you start to employ your own delivery drivers.
A restaurant website is the first step toward providing the convenience of online ordering—something people require now, and will continue to appreciate when the option of dining at a restaurant becomes safe again.
6. You decide how your brand is portrayed.
You don’t have to have a website for your restaurant to have an online presence. Your restaurant can be listed on Yelp and Google without ever launching your own website. So it may be tempting to just stick with those easy options—customers can find you there, and you can save the time and cost it takes to build a website, right?
The problem is that you don’t have control over how you show up on those spaces. You’re limited in what information you can include. You’re not able to put forth the version of your brand you want people to encounter.
When you create your own restaurant website, the space belongs entirely to you. You choose the color scheme so it matches your overall branding. You talk about your restaurant in the terms you know matter most to your customers. And you can load the best photos of the food your customers love. Your website is where you can put your best online face forward for the world, and make the case to customers for why they should choose you.
7. You give people a heads up about your restaurant hours.
Have you ever made the trip to a restaurant you were looking forward to, only to find it closed? You were probably already hungry and had to figure out an alternative option in a rush—not a fun experience. With COVID-19 wreaking havoc on any regularity that once existed in restaurant schedules, the risk of this experience has increased.
You don’t want to disappoint customers that are already stressed out. A website is the best way to keep up-to-date information about your hours and what types of service you’re offering all in a central location.
If dine-in service isn’t available and customers need to put in an order online for pickup, you want to provide clear instructions where they know to look. If you’ll be open on a different schedule than usual, you want to give them a head’s up before they get their hopes up for a lunch they can’t have.
8. You can share safety procedures.
Your location, your menu, and your food photography are all contributing factors in deciding whether to choose your restaurant. But in the age of COVID-19, another big thing consumers are looking for is information on how you’re working to keep customers and employees safe.
A restaurant website gives you a chance to communicate to your audience that you’re taking concerns about the virus seriously, and that you’re thoughtfully implementing procedures to reduce risk as much as possible. As the restaurant owner, it also gives you a place to clearly outline any rules you expect customers to follow to keep others safe, such as wearing a mask or staying in their car for pickups and letting you bring orders to them.
Even if people love your food, if they’re scared you’re not taking proper precautions to keep them safe, they won’t have anything to do with your business. And if conscious consumers feel like you’re needlessly putting employees at risk, you’ll lose their business for the long term as well. Show people you care and are doing your due diligence to get this right.
9. You can add income streams.
A restaurant site will mostly exist to promote your food, but you don’t have to stop there. Any restaurant website with ecommerce functionality can be used to sell other items as well. You can promote gift cards on your website, and sell branded merchandise like t-shirts, mugs, and stickers.
You could even sell kits of everything a customer needs to make some of the items on your menu themselves. In some locales, cocktail kits have been a popular option (but you have to make sure that’s a legal option in your city before you go that route). That can be a good way to give people a taste of the experience they’d get dining in, even when it’s not an option.
10. You can enable and highlight customer reviews.
A lot of restaurants like to claim they offer the best pizza, tacos, or BBQ in their city, but most customers can see right through those claims—unless they’re backed up by customer reviews. If you allow customer reviews on your website and person after person talks up how delicious your pasta dishes or enchiladas are, every website visitor will see and pay attention.
Positive reviews are powerful. For restaurants, they’re one of the best tools you have to prove to people that you’re worth trying out. The first step to getting good reviews is making amazing cuisine. Presumably, you’ve already got that part down. The next step is making it as easy as possible for customers to share what they think about your food on your beautiful website, or on other popular review sites like Google and Yelp.
Once you’ve gotten raves from happy customers, you can highlight their words on your website where any new customers interested in giving you a try can see them. Hearing how much your other customers love your cuisine will help anyone on the fence go ahead and make that order.
Build Your Restaurant Website Today
In the best of times, running a restaurant successfully is hard. We’re clearly not in the best of times, and probably won’t be for a while. One of the most important things you can do right now to stay afloat is make sure you have an intuitive, useful, attractive restaurant website.
If restaurant website design sounds intimidating, don’t let it be. Building a website today is easier than it’s ever been. You can use an intuitive website builder that comes with pre-designed templates and offers drag-and-drop functionality that anyone can figure out. Yes, even you as a restaurant owner can master website design with our easy to use templates. You can get a basic website up in a matter of hours, and make your food more accessible to customers in the process.
