Where I Belong (Luffy x Reader)

Pairings: Luffy x Female Reader (+ Strawhats and Reader) Summary: After a bad encounter with past friends, you just want your boyfriend and your crew. Warnings: Hurt, Comfort, mean friends, bullying [One Piece Masterlist] _____
When you returned to the Sunny, you didn't expect to feel so heavy and self-decrepit; you honestly expected the opposite.
When Nami informed you that the next island you would visit was your hometown, you had been ecstatic, instantly writing to your childhood friends in the hopes that you could meet up in the short time you were there. Your heart thrummed with the anticipation of being back on land you knew and breathing the nostalgic air of home. When you had gone to tell Luffy the news, he had joined in on your enthusiasm, grinning wide as you told him all you missed and all you hoped to see.
It had been several years since you had left the island and town you grew up in as a child. Orphaned at a young age, the people of the village had all become your caretakers in a way. They all adored you, a sign that the parents you have little recollection of were also adored before they passed away, and you had grown close to most who resided there. But you shared no deeper connection than the one you shared with your friends.
From the early stages of your childhood and into your teenage life, they had been the backbone of your delight in adventures, and the joyous memories spent despite being left with little place to call home. You would spend much of your time travelling areas of the island you had yet to explore, running in meadows on the back end of town, and giving puppy eyes to cafe owners who would spare you sweet treats. In later years you would gossip about boys, laugh at inside jokes, share in troubles and secrets and happiness.
When you had left your island, the goodbyes had been tearful, and bittersweet. Luffy offered all you had wished for since childhood: adventure, devotion, and answers about the world. With your mysterious devil fruit powers and harbouring an unnatural strength, you would be an asset to the straw-hat crew just as much as the crew would be an asset to you. That didn't make it harder to hug your friends goodbye or wave to them atop a ship that takes you far away. And as much as you adore your life now as a pirate on the sea, you could not help but reminisce.
You missed them, and you could not wait to see them again.
Upon arriving on your island, your senses instantly fill with a vibrancy and an air you had missed. "Come on!!" Your crewmates had smiled wide at your enthusiasm, basically dragging Luffy from the ship; a stark contrast to how he would usually be the one dragging you to islands. In an instant, the townsfolk had gathered, seeing a familiar straw hat and the young woman - a little bit older now - they said goodbye to several years prior, now back home.
"[y/n]!!"
"Welcome home!!"
"How long are you staying!?"
You smile tearful smiles as you greet the villagers who are all alive, safe and well. Familiar faces gather in your vision; the island's renowned cook, waitresses from cafes, shopkeepers and old family friends. They all seem so happy to see you and proud of the accomplishments they have read of in newspapers that travel the sea. '[y/n] [l/n], pirate of the Strawhat crew.' You were surprised by their support of your role as a pirate but it only amplified the nostalgia and warming feeling in your heart as you greeted them.
In fact, the only people absent were the childhood friends you hoped to see.
As people dispersed and gave you space, the local bookshop owner assured you that your friends were somewhere close by and that you would surely bump into them soon. Taking his words in confidence you had turned to your crew who had all been smiling and looking on fondly at the sight of your reunion with the townspeople.
"All right, let me show you guys around!"
You had taken your friends around the island, allowing them to see and explore the town that raised you as a child. They smiled when you spoke to them of the different places and what they meant to you, took suggestions on where to explore to heart and seemed genuinely happy to see where you had grown up.
"The restaurant where [y/n]-swan used to eat- The house that [y/n]-swan used to live- The shop where [y/n]-swan used to-"
"Oi, shut up, cook!!"
"Shi shi shi, this place is so cool [y/n]!!"
You grin as your friends seem to enjoy and appreciate the place you adored just as much as you. Sanji swooning over everything that had something to do with you, Zoro eying the liquor store down the street, Robin taking interest in the ancient books the island held, Brook in the music, Franky in the strange inventions, the list could go on. Your heart warmed at the sight of your makeshift family, getting along so well with the family that raised you. Luffy especially seemed excited to explore the island he visited before, keen to try the food that it was famous for.
"And that's about it! You guys can go and explore on your own now if you-"
Your words stumble to a halt when you see three familiar figures approaching you, grins wide and hands in the air in greeting.
"Hey [y/n]!! Is that you?"
Your smile instantly enlightens your face as you turn from your crew briefly. And sure enough, your old friends are waving to you in greeting, eyes gleaming in their joy to see you again.
"It's been so long!!"
They instantly envelop you in a hug, filling the air with their questions on where you have been, and what you have been up to, and finally turning to your crewmates who smile wide at the company of those you have talked fondly about. Of course, they know of your friends, you would often speak of the adventures you went on and the times you spent together to whatever crewmate would listen.
"And this must be the famous Strawhat crew!!"
"Yep! Guys, these are my childhood friends I always tell you about!"
Your friends turn to your crewmates, eyes shining in awe at the crew you were a part of, now infamous due to the battles you won and the strength that every individual pulled. You smile proudly at the sight of your friends greeting your other friends, the compliments thrown and the sheepish laughter of crewmates as they thank them for looking after you.
"Shi shi shi, alright!! It's time for food now!!"
Your boyfriend wraps his arms around you suddenly, grinning wide as he tries to pull you to the restaurant on the island he adores as much as you do. You roll your eyes, but other crewmembers also perk up.
"Actually, I was gonna check out the bookstore."
"And I should grab some groceries-"
"Those inventions earlier looked SUPERRR, I was gonna go check them out!!"
Nami smiles to you emphatically, as she grabs Luffy's ear and drags him from you. "Ow!! Nami!!" She pays him no mind, however, and turns to you and your friends once more.
"Why don't you go catch up with your friends [y/n]? I'll take Luffy to the restaurant and we'll probably be around town anyway."
"But I want to go with [y/n]- Ow!!"
You smile wide at Nami's understanding that you had missed your friends and hoped to catch up. Other crewmembers nod in encouragement.
"Yeah, [y/n]! You should go, we'll be around here if you need us!"
Chopper smiles happily at you and you hesitate at Luffy's crestfallen expression, but ultimately take the invitation.
"Okay, thanks, guys!!"
"Take your time, we'll be here until tomorrow morning!"
Nami continues to drag Luffy away in bright words and smiles, as the Strawhat crew wave and disperse to the areas that each ignited curiosity in them. Luffy pouts, telling you to not be too long but ultimately persuaded that the food at the restaurant could keep him company for the time you spent away. And in their absence, you turn to your friends eager to hear what you had missed in the years spent at sea.
The beginning goes as you expected, courteous questions, still tentative in the presence of friends you had not seen in a while.
"So, how have you been, [y/n]?"
"How's life at sea?"
And to the questions you received, you replied in the same manner, still joyous, seeing your friends once more. Time away with the future pirate king did mean leaving a life you had grown so attached to behind but in its place, the Sunny became your temporary home. You still missed the simplicity of life on the quaint island you resided in, and seeing your friends ignited memories of the times you spent together.
"I've been doing great!! So many cool adventures, I don't even know where to start-"
You had thought your keenness in the stories you told of the adventures at sea would be received with the same enthusiasm. After all, you had spent so much time away and shared a heartfelt goodbye before you left the island. However, the longer you spoke of your adventures and the longer you spoke of Luffy and your crew, the more their upturned lips started to turn downwards. Their gaze on you started to waver, and in the absence of your crewmates as they walked to restaurants or looked to places around the island, their interest in you also started to falter.
"-and then, you wouldn't believe. But Luffy, he changed gears and punched him through-"
"Yeah, yeah, that sounds great [y/n], but we were actually going to go to the shops right about now."
You pause, surprised by the abruptness of your friend who interrupts the words from your mouth. Suddenly, flustered and thinking you have talked too much (though having only spoken a few sentences), you instantly quietened and nodded in inclined understanding.
"Oh, yeah! Of course, don't let me stop you guys! Where were we thinking of going? I remember that clothing store down the road to that cafe we liked-"
"Oh... you wanted to come too?"
You frown as they interrupt once more, the vibrant air suddenly dwindling with what their words imply, or the feeling you suddenly did not belong in a space you were so sure you did.
"I mean, I thought we could catch up! It's been a while right?"
Your words are less confident than you hoped, lingering with the hesitance that matched the sudden weight of your thoughts. You watch as your friends look at each other, the same hesitance on their faces making you more confused as to why they are acting this way. They seem to share thoughts between their eyes, but ultimately they seem to come to a silent agreement.
"Okay."
But the day that passed had been nothing like what you were used to, and the friends you thought you knew acted nothing like the friends you spent your childhood with. It seemed like an invisible wall was put between you and them, and you followed behind them as you travelled the streets and to the shops. You hear them talk of dinner plans, of meeting people and of events they do not bother explaining to you. They laugh at jokes you don't understand, pass you a sympathetic smile and words like, "You just had to be there," and, "Oh, sorry [y/n], you wouldn't understand, would you?"
And you didn't know exactly why, but those words hit harder than the times they would ignore you as they picked out clothes and giggled with each other. Or when they went through stores and chose jewellery for an event that would take place a week from the current day. Or when they seemed to talk in whispers and not let you in. Each time they acted like you were a fly on the wall, invisible to them though you spent the whole day with them. Suggestions from you to visit the meadow, or go to cafes you so missed fell on deaf ears and all you received were hums and, "Oh, we don't go there anymore."
Your heart felt heavy and the day was long. You tried to convince yourself that this was just what happens when you don't see friends in a while. They grow, they move on. But you also remember how often you spent missing your friends, how you wrote to them even with their sparse replies, or how you cherished and held the memories of them so dear. And now, you see them trying to get rid of you silently, push you away from the circle they made, and their initial interest in your happenings as a pirate had long gone.
It seemed, their interest in you had gone.
But the worst was when you had left to use the bathroom. When you had gone briefly and returned to your friends who looked at dresses, the afternoon sun was already falling to the ground. You were surprised at how the day had passed unbeknownst to you when it had felt so long. You wonder what Luffy was doing, and how Nami was doing taking care of your boyfriend while you were away. He didn't necessarily need to be taken care of, but the two of you often explored islands together and you wondered if he missed you as you missed him.
When you had passed through rows of clothing and were walking past patrons to your friends, you heard your name amongst words you know you shouldn't have heard.
"Damn, was [y/n] always like this?"
"Beats me, do you see the letters she sends us like she's better than us, travelling the sea with the Strawhats."
"Yeah, it's still a wonder they let her join. I only went up to her 'cause I wanted to see if her crewmates were worth all the hype they're getting..."
"Right?! Why did she have to send them away?"
You freeze, still hidden from your friends' view by a clothes rack that impairs their vision. Stomach churning at the words you hear slip past their lips. Your eyes widen, as though you do not see them, your name and their voices confirm it is they who speak to you like a stranger they ridicule, and in such a way that makes your heart sink. Your childhood friends, who you had placed such value in, mocked you for your life choices, and your role on the Strawhat crew, and hoped only to use you to get closer to your infamous crew.
"Did you see the swordsman? Zoro, I think it was? Talk about muscle..."
"And omg, Nami's sense of fashion is just so good, I wish I could've had her tag along instead of-"
It is then that you step forward past the racks, and your friends perk up at your sudden movements, words dying on their tongues. But you try to keep a neutral expression, despite the breaking of your heart. They seem to be convinced you have heard nothing as they wait a moment for you to say something.
"I-I think I'm gonna go now. I don't wanna keep my crew waiting."
Again, your words are hesitant, low but you keep them sturdy enough to sound like a genuine concern you are going to adhere to. Instantly, your friends stand, giving you more attention than they did the whole day.
"Oh, really? Are you sure you don't wanna stay? You could come for dinner, maybe even invite your crew-"
"It's fine."
You smile, straining against your cheeks as you do, hoping your lips have upturned enough to contain the falsity of your expression.
"Thanks for today though, it was nice seeing you guys again."
Words slip your lips almost robotically, hands numb as you feel your friends awkwardly hug you and say their goodbyes. You faintly remember them waving and muttering words like, "Good luck," and "We'll see you next time," but as your legs pull you free from the stuffiness of the store it is like your numbness comes undone. Raging feelings course through your body, and suddenly a line of tears lay on your lower lashline.
You curse yourself.
You hate the way you have been so excited to see your friends when clearly the same sentiment was not returned. You hate the way you wrote to them and reminisced about them and spoke to your crew so fondly of them. You hate the way they have such influence over your joy and the disappointment that drips into your system because of their words and actions. You had spent the whole day with people who barely spared you any mind, when you could've been with Luffy and your true friends, showing them your home town.
Luffy.
Suddenly, and perhaps, more than ever, you crave your boyfriend's presence and his wide smile. And so, you walk through the streets you used to adore, now burdened with the day you spent. Smiling half-heartedly at townsfolk who recognise you and bid their greetings, travelling concrete roads that glow with the sunset, walking familiar paths to the Sunny that was silent on the sea. A moment passes when you look up at the sight, remembering when Luffy had asked you to join him. The image of the ship was parallel to the day you joined the Strawhats: you were on the island looking at the Going Merry and making a decision that would change your life.
You walk, up to the deck, confused about the silence until you hear a yell from inside the kitchen.
"LUFFY!! What are you doing!! That's for [y/n]!!!"
"But I'm hungryyy!! She won't mind, she always shares with me!!"
"You ate at the restaurant!!"
When you open the door, you are met by the sight of Nami trying to wrangle food from Luffy's clutches. You recognised the meal as something your favourite restaurant makes, it was your favourite meal, and something you missed dearly, along with the island. There are two beats of silence until Luffy turns, face suddenly going from frustrated to a wide grin the instant he notices you.
"[y/n]!!"
Luffy jumps from the spot where he had been trying to steal food from Nami, instantly enveloping you in a hug that takes you stumbling back a few steps. Nami sighs loudly before putting the packed meal on the counter and stomping outside the kitchen.
"Idiot... I'll be on the island with the crew!!"
She doesn't wait for your reply and leaves the kitchen in abrupt frustration. Luffy doesn't seem to mind her absence though as he lifts his head from where he embraces you, a smile tugging against the corners of his lips. Still downtrodden from the day's events and trials, you take the sight in and feel the weight of the day fall onto you and disappear at the same time. Tears start to line your eyes once more, but you hold them in, unfortunately for you, however, Luffy notices your quiet and despondency.
"[y/n]? What's wrong?"
He releases you from his deathly embrace as he looks at you seriously. You on the other hand laugh softly as you shake your head, suddenly relieved to be with your boyfriend and away from the friends who made you feel so awful about yourself.
"Nothing's wrong... I just missed you."
Luffy hums in contemplation, staring and tilting his head for several moments as though analysing your features for a trace of a lie. But you guess your words are not a lie. You did miss him after all, more than ever when you were with your childhood friends; a burden and outcast. Your smile is still on your lips, and though sadder than usual, Luffy decides to trust you, as he matches your expression with a grin.
"I missed you too!! Look, we got something for you."
Luffy instantly turns to the counter where Nami just put the meal she claimed to have gotten you. Luffy smiles cheekily as he hands it to you. You smile at the gesture, it was a massive assortment of foods the local chef knew you adored.
"Wanna eat together?"
You don't even have to ask as Luffy jumps on a chair by the dining room table, eagerly waiting for you to join him. However, he must've sensed something was off with you because instead of going straight into the meal, he watches as you unpack it carefully. There was more food than you thought there would be, so you were glad you had enlisted your boyfriend's help to devour it. You pick up your fork and take a bite, savouring the way the food melts in your mouth, and ignites feelings of nostalgia buried so deep within you that it almost makes you cry.
"Luffy, this is sooo good!!"
"Really!?"
You turn and grin, but are taken aback when you witness the way Luffy is smiling to you. It is in a way that seems gentler, and softer than usual. There is adoration in his eyes like you were the treasure he searched the seas for, but hidden within are also the depths of understanding you do not usually see. It is instantly diminished, however, as he clutches a fork and takes a bite of the meal himself, face brightening at the taste. However, as he speaks there is a serious undertone that makes you think that maybe he was not so quick to diminish your sullen behaviour earlier.
"Your friends... They weren't nice to you, were they?"
You freeze and look to your Captain who looks from the food to you imploringly, a serious glint in his eyes, but a sad smile on his face.
"What do you-"
"You only look like that, when you had a bad day."
Luffy's lips turn to a frown now as he bites into the meal and lets the silence linger between the two of you. Still surprised by his words, but also moved by the way your oblivious captain seems to understand you to no end, you smile softly despite the tears that fall from your eyes, now unstoppable. Luffy still looks at you in concern, as he witnesses the upturn of your lips, and the falling of tears, and he waits for the words you speak softly.
"Yeah. They were different, changed, and maybe this isn't the home it used to be..."
You look to your boyfriend who remains patiently waiting for you to finish speaking your thoughts. You remember back to when you accepted his offer to join the crew. You recall the adventures you went on, your beloved crewmates and how so many had joined and how you had all come so much closer, like the family you never had. You remember confusing love confessions due to Luffy's inability to understand his feelings.
You remember the depths of care your boyfriend held throughout the entirety of your relationship.
How he would listen when you spoke of your adventures, lured in by the spark in your eyes when you talked of something enthusiastically. How he would laugh and smile and never make you feel excluded from the company around you. How he treated you and his nakama with such importance and faith. The stark contrast to what you experienced today.
"... but it's okay. The crew is my home now."
You smile and Luffy's eyes widen for a second before he grins, his same, wide and unfaltering smile. The two of you share in your gaze once more before Luffy takes his Strwaht and places it on your head. It fits snugly atop your hair, but more so there lingers the symbol that you were accepted, loved, and adored by the man you sit beside. Smiles linger as the both of you continue to dig into the meal in front of you and soon, crewmates come back to the ship and greet you in their pure, true contentment.
"Hey [y/n]!!"
"Damn [y/n], you never told us how SUPERRR your island is!"
"I had a lovely time."
âSo many cute dresses!!â
As you watch your crewmates gather around the table, their own meals in hand no doubt by the local cook who provided them, you let the heaviness of your heart dissipate for a while. Whilst this island still holds memories and places you adore, with people you still hold dear, it felt like for the first time in a long time, you know where you belong.

AND THE CROWD.....is smiling!?
Unintentional couple behaviour

you two acts like a loving couple all the time, so what happens when someone points it out?
characters: zoro, sanji, law, ace and sabo
words count: around 0.8k - 1.3k each
masterlist || ao3 || ko-fi
ââ .⌠Roronoa Zoro:
You do a lot of things for Zoro without thinking.
You wake him up when itâs time to eat. You stop him from training too much. You make sure he doesnât get lost whenever the crew visits a new island.
Itâs normal for you. Someone has to do it.
But one day, the others start teasing you about it.
It happens at lunch. You are eating with the crew when Usopp laughs and nudges your arm.
âHey, arenât you gonna get your boyfriend?â
You blink. âWhat?â
Sanji, cleaning his hands with a towel, nods toward the deck âThat moss-brained idiot. You always bring him to meals. Itâs like a little routine between you two now. Like a coupleâŚâ
âWeâre notââ You nearly choke on your drink âWeâre not a couple!â
Usopp grins âThen why do you always take so much care of him?â
âBecause heâs stupid and forgets to eat!â you say, standing up âIâll go get him, but not because of whatever weird ideas you guys have.â
You walk away while they laugh behind you.
You find Zoro exactly where you expect, napping against the shipâs railing, his swords next to him.
You roll your eyes and shake his shoulder âOi, wake up. Lunch is ready.â
Nothing.
You shake him harder âZoro. If you donât get up, Iâll eat your food.â
He grumbles and waves his hand, like heâs trying to swat away a fly.
Sighing, you do what you always do. You grab his wrist and pull him up with both hands. He lets you. He always does, like itâs natural.
Zoro blinks at you, still half-asleep âHuh. You again.â
âYeah, me again,â you say âCome eat before Sanji âforgetsâ to save you anything.â
Youâre still holding his wrist, making sure he doesnât fall back asleep. Thatâs when you notice Nami and Robin watching from across the deck, smiling.
âWhat?â you ask, feeling awkward.
Nami smirks âYou two are cute.â
Your face heats up âWeâre notâheâs notâweâre not together!â
Robin chuckles âYou do take care of him a lot.â
Zoro frowns, confused âWhat the hell are you talking about?â
âNothing,â you mutterl âCome eat.â
You let go of his wrist too fast and walk away, ignoring the warm feeling in your chest.
You think itâs over, but now you notice things.
Zoro always sits next to you at meals, even when there are other seats. You always save food for him without realizing. And during fights, he always protects you first, like itâs a habit.
And, worst of all, people keep pointing it out.
ây/n,â Chopper asks one day, tilting his head âAre you and Zoro dating?â
You almost trip âWhat?! No!â
âOh...â He looks confused âBut you act like itâ
You groan âNot you tooâ
After that, you canât stop thinking about it.
The next time you wake Zoro up, your fingers stay on his wrist a second too long. The next time he pulls you behind him in a fight, your heart beats faster.
And then one evening, when you catch him watching you with a thoughtful look, you realize you might be in trouble.
That night, Zoro speaks first.
âOiâ
You look up from your seat on the deck âWhat?â
He leans against the railing, arms crossed âDoes it bother you?â
You frown âDoes what bother me?â
âWhat people are sayingâ His eyes stay on you âAbout us.â
You swallow âWhy? Does it bother you?â
He doesnât answer right away âNoâ his voice is quieter than usual.
Your stomach flips and you look at the ocean âI mean⌠itâs just dumb teasing, right?â
Zoro doesnât reply. Instead, he watches you for a long time. Then, finally, he smirks.
âDoesnât really matter what they sayâ he says, voice calm but sure âIâd still stick with you either way.â
Your breath catches and suddenly, your heart wonât let you ignore this anymore.
For the next days you try to brush off what the crew said.
You really do, but itâs impossible to ignore when Zoro keeps acting the same way.
Like when youâre on lookout duty together, and he hands you his jacket without a word.
Or when you spar with him, and he pulls his hits just enough so you donât get hurt.
Or when you fall asleep on the Sunnyâs deck, and you wake up covered with a blanket, one you know you didnât grab.
And every time it happens, you catch the crew watching. Smirking.
Itâs driving you insane.
One afternoon, you finally decide to do something about it.
You find Zoro by the training room, lifting weights. His shirt is half undone, sweat glistening on his skin, but you shove that thought aside.
You cross your arms âHey, Zoro.â
He grunts in acknowledgment, not stopping his reps.
You hesitate ââŚWhy do you treat me differently?â
He finally sets the weight down, wiping his face with a towel âWhat?â
âYou heard me...â You shift uncomfortably âYou do things for me that you donât do for anyone else.â
Zoro leans back against the wall, looking at you like you just asked a stupid question âSo?â
âSo?â You huff âThat means something, doesnât it?â
He shrugs âI guess.â
You blink âThatâs it? You guess?â
Zoro sighs, scratching his head âLook, I donât really think about it. I justââ He pauses, then shrugs again âI want to.â
Your heart skips a beat ââŚWhat?â
âI want to do those things for you,â he says simply itâs not a big dealâ
You stare at him âNot a... Zoro, are you serious?â
He frowns âWhat, you donât like it?â
âThatâs not the point!â Your face feels hot âYou donât do this for Nami or Robin or anyone else!â
Zoro looks at you, unimpressed âYeah. Because itâs you.â
You freeze.
The way he says it, so blunt, so obvious, it makes your stomach flip.
He isnât flustered. He isnât overthinking it. Heâs just stating a fact.
ââŚOh.â
Zoro crosses his arms, watching you carefully âIs that a problem?â
You swallow âNo. Itâs justâ
Itâs everything. Itâs him always being there, always looking out for you, always treating you like someone important.
Itâs a realization you should have had ages ago.
You let out a breathless laugh âIâm an idiot.â
Zoro raises an eyebrow âWell, yeah.â
You smack his arm. He smirks.
But when your hand lingers just a little too long, he doesnât pull away.
And suddenly, you both understand... this isnât just a habit.
It never was.
Ever since that conversation in the training room, things between you and Zoro have⌠shifted, but not in a bad way.
He still trains for hours. Still naps in random spots. Still bickers with Sanji.
But now, when you sit beside him, his arm naturally rests along the back of your chair.
Now, when you fight, he doesnât just watch your back, he makes sure youâre never out of reach.
Now, when you look at him for a second too long, he looks right back.
Like heâs waiting.
Like heâs giving you the choice.
One evening, you find him on the Sunnyâs deck, looking out at the ocean.
ââŚCanât sleep?â he asks.
You shake your head, stepping closer âThinking too much.â
Zoro smirks âDangerous habit...â
You huff a laugh but donât argue.
Instead, you stand beside him, silent for a moment before you finally ask...
âDo you regret telling me?â
Zoro frowns âTelling you what?â
âThat you⌠actually treat me differently. That you want to.â
His jaw tightens slightly âNo.â
Your heart does something strange âGood.â
You donât give yourself time to hesitate.
Before doubt can creep in, you grab him and pull him down.
Zoro freezes.
For half a second, he doesnât move. Doesnât even breathe.
Then a quiet growl rumbles from his chest, and his hand cups the back of your neck as he kisses you back.
Itâs firm. Solid. Like heâs been holding back for too long and refuses to anymore.
When you finally break apart, Zoro leans his forehead against yours, exhaling through his nose.
ââŚFinallyâ he mutters.
You grin âYou were waiting for me?â
âWasnât gonna rush youâ His fingers brush your jaw âYou get there when you get there.â
You hum, leaning into him âAnd now?â
Zoro smirks âNow, youâre stuck with me.â
You kiss him again, just to make sure he knows you wouldnât want it any other way.
ââ .⌠Vinsmoke Sanji:
Sanji has always been a flirt. Thatâs just how he is.
He calls Nami and Robin âmy loveâ and âmy dearâ. He spins around the kitchen whenever they compliment him. He offers to carry their bags when the crew goes shopping.
But when it comes to you, itâs different.
It starts when the crew is eating dinner together.
âSanji, can you pass the salt?â you ask.
Instead of handing you the salt shaker, Sanji grabs it, twists off the lid, and sprinkles just the right amount onto your plate.
You blink âUh. Thanks?â
âOf course, my dearâ he says smoothly. Then, as if nothing happened, he turns back to his own plate.
You think nothing of it... until you notice the way the others are watching.
Usopp raises an eyebrow âDid he just season your food for you?â
âYeah?â You shrug âWhat's new about it? He's a chef and heâs just being nice.â
Luffy grins âHe doesnât do that for anyone else.â
âThatâs not true,â you argue âSanji treats everyone like this.â
Nami hums âNot exactly like this. If we wanted more salt he would start a lecture about how it would ruin his masterpiece.â
Before you can ask what she means, Sanji stands up to grab dessert. He places a plate in front of you first. Itâs your favorite.
The crew stares.
You stare too âSanjiâŚâ
He smiles âWhat? I made extra for you.â
Usopp coughs âYeah. Okay. Totally normal.â
Robin chuckles behind her hand.
You shake your head and go back to eating. Itâs nothing. Sanji is just being Sanji.
âŚRight?
But then, you start noticing other things.
When youâre cold, Sanji drapes his jacket over your shoulders without you asking.
When you need something from a high shelf, Sanji wordlessly reaches up and hands it to you.
When youâre about to trip, his hand is always there to steady you.
And every time, every single time, he does it so naturally that you donât even think about it.
Until one day, Franky whistles and says, âYou two sure act like a couple.â
You nearly drop the drink in your hands âWhat?!â
Sanji, who was stirring a pot at the stove, pauses.
Franky leans against the counter, grinning âYou two do all that coupley stuff. He gives you the best food, takes care of you, treats you differently from everyone elseââ
âThatâs not true,â you say quickly âSanjiâs like this with everyone.â
Franky snorts âNah. He does flirt with everyone. But this?â He gestures between you and Sanji âThis is different.â
You glance at Sanji. Heâs staring into the pot, silent.
Your face feels hot now âYou guys are reading too much into things.â
âSure we are...â Franky says, smirking. Then he leaves.
The kitchen is quiet now. You swallow and turn to Sanji.
ââŚIs it true?â
He looks at you. His usual confident smile is gone. Instead, thereâs something softer in his eyes.
âI donât knowâ he says âis it?â
Your heartbeat quickens.
Suddenly, every touch, every sweet gesture, it all feels different.
Maybe it wasnât just a habit.
Maybe it was something else all along.
After all this the teasing has only gotten worse.
Ever since Nami and Usopp pointed out how Sanji treats you, they will not let it go.
âHere comes Sanjiâs beloveeeed~â Usopp sings when you walk into the kitchen.
âI should start charging you for all the extra food Sanji makes only for youâ Nami smirks.
Even Luffy, who usually doesnât care about these things, grins at Sanji one afternoon and says âOi, cook, when are you gonna marry y/n?â
Sanji chokes on his cigarette so hard he has to brace himself on the counter.
You groan and drag a hand down your face.
But what really drives you insane?
Sanji never denies it.
He stutters, blushes, waves his hands, but he never says âThatâs not true.â
Because it is true.
And itâs starting to drive you crazy.
You try to ignore it. But then you start noticing things, even the smallest ones.
Sanji never lets you carry anything heavy.
He always pours you tea first, even before Nami and Robin.
He adjusts your chair at dinner like itâs second nature.
And the worst part? He doesnât even realize heâs doing it.
But you do.
And now, every time he gives you that lookâthe one thatâs soft, full of admiration, like you hung the damn sun in the skyâyour heart stumbles over itself.
This has to stop.
Or something has to change.
It happens one evening after dinner.
Youâre in the kitchen, helping Sanji clean up. He hums as he washes the dishes, sleeves rolled up, golden hair falling over his forehead.
You watch him for a second, then take a deep breath.
âSanji.â
He glances at you, smiling âYes, my love?â
You grip the counter âWhy do you act like weâre together?â
Sanji freezes.
The faucet keeps running. The kitchen is warm with the smell of spices. But Sanji is frozen.
Slowly, he turns his head toward you ââŚP-Pardon?â
You cross your arms âYou treat me differently. Even the crew notices. You never do this stuff for anyone else.â
Sanji swallows hard âIââ
âYou never deny it,â you press âand honestly? Iâm tired of waiting for you to finally say something.â
Sanji stares at you like youâve just flipped his entire world upside down.
His hands shake. His lips part like he wants to speak, but nothing comes out.
ââŚSanji.â Your voice softens âDo you want this to be real?â
A shuddering breath leaves him. He looks at you, eyes wide, vulnerable.
âMore than anything...â he whispers.
Your heartbeat stutters.
Thatâs it. Thatâs all you need to hear.
You step forward, grab the front of his shirt, and kiss him.
Sanji malfunctions.
His entire body locks up, like his brain has completely short-circuited.
For a solid two seconds, he does not move.
Then a noise escapes him, something between a whimper and a desperate sigh, and his hands come up to cup your face, pulling you closer.
The kiss is warm, overwhelming, but soft, like heâs afraid youâll disappear if he holds on too tight.
When you finally pull away, heâs redder than his own suit.
ââŚM-Mon amour,â he breathes, voice shaking âYou...you actually...â
You smirk âTook us long enough, cook.â
Sanji makes a strangled sound and immediately buries his face in your shoulder, arms wrapped tight around you.
Outside, the crew is losing their minds.
âTOLD YOU!â Usopp shouts.
âI WON THE BET!â Nami cheers.
âOi, Sanji, you alive in there?â Zoro snickers.
Sanji doesnât answer. Heâs too busy melting against you, whispering sweet nothings into your skin.
And honestly?
You think youâll let him.
ââ .⌠Trafalgar D. Law:
Law is not the kind of person who likes physical contact. He doesnât let most people touch him. He keeps his distance, always standing at the edge of conversations with his arms crossed. If someone bumps into him, they get a glare.
But for some reason, you are different.
It starts when Bepo hands you a coat one evening.
âHere,â he says, tail flicking âyou left this in the lounge.â
You blink at it. Itâs black, long, and definitely not yours.
âThis isnât mineâ you say, confused.
Bepo tilts his head âOh. But you always wear the captainâs coat, so I thought it was yours now...â
You freeze.
âWait. What?â
Shachi walks by and hears the conversation. He grins âYeah, you totally do. Every time youâre cold, you steal his coat.â
Penguin nods âAnd Law never complains.â
You open your mouth. Close it. Try to remember.
âŚOkay, maybe you have borrowed Lawâs coat a few times. But thatâs just because itâs warm! And because itâs there! And because...
Oh no.
Your stomach twists âI... I do not...â
âSure you donât...â Shachi teases âWhatâs next? Calling him âdearâ?â
You groan and shove the coat at Bepo before walking away.
But now, you canât stop thinking about it.
After this, you start noticing other things. Like how Law always lets you into his personal space.
How you can tug his hat down over his eyes without him pushing you away.
How he casually rests his hand on your shoulder when he stands next to you.
One day, you trip over a loose crate. Before you even hit the ground, a familiar blue glow surrounds you... Lawâs Room.
In an instant, youâre back on your feet, completely unharmed.
The Heart Pirates snicker.
âCaptain didnât even thinkâ Penguin whispers.
âHe never uses Room for anyone elseâs clumsinessâ Shachi adds.
You glare at them âI heard that.â
They just smirk.
Law doesnât say anything. He just sighs and keeps walking, like saving you without thinking is the most natural thing in the world.
Your heart does something weird. You ignore it.
Later, you sit on a crate, arms crossed. Law stands next to you, reading a medical book.
You glance at him âYour crew keeps calling me âCaptainâs partner.ââ
He doesnât look up âSo?â
âSo, why?â
He flips a page âProbably because you act like one.â
Your brain short-circuits.
You stare âExcuse me?â
Law finally looks at you, raising an eyebrow âYouâre always in my quarters, you steal my coat, and you act like you belong next to me. Theyâre not wrong.â
Your face burns âI... You let me do all that!â
He smirks âI know.â
You open your mouth, but no words come out.
Because suddenly, you realize... he has let you. And he still is.
Ever since Bepo and the others pointed out how Law treats you differently, itâs been impossible to ignore.
The extra care during missions. The way he always stands just a little closer than necessary. The way he lets you touch him, his arm, his shoulder, even his hand, when no one else would dare.
But what really gives him away?
The way his ears burn red every time you get too close.
And yet he never says anything.
If you didnât know better, youâd think he was running an experiment to see how long he could keep this up before you lost your mind.
So tonight youâre calling him out.
You find him in his quarters, buried in medical books.
âHey, Law.â You lean against the desk, arms crossed âCan I ask you something?â
His eyes flick up âWhat?â
You tilt your head âDo you like me?â
Law chokes.
Not just a little cough... he full-on chokes on air, slamming his book shut as if thatâll somehow save him.
âWhatâ?!â He coughs into his fist âWhere the hell did that come from?â
You raise an eyebrow âYou tell me.â
Law scowls, shifting uncomfortably âYouâre being ridiculous.â
âOh? Am I?â You step closer.
He stiffens âWhat are you...?â
You place your hands on the arms of his chair and lean in, caging him in.
His breath hitches.
Oh. Oh.
He is not prepared for this.
âLaw,â you murmur, watching his face closely âyou never let anyone touch you, but you let me.â
His jaw clenches âThat doesnâtââ
âYou always make sure I rest. You check my injuries before anyone elseâs.â
âBecause youâre recklessââ
âAnd...â you lean even closer âyour ears are red right now.â
Law swallows.
You smirk âSo, wanna try again?â
For a long moment, he just stares at you, lips parted, golden eyes darting between yours.
Then, in a last-ditch effort, he growls... âYouâre annoying.â
You hum âMaybe.â
And then you kiss him.
Law goes still.
For the first time since youâve known him, he is completely speechless.
But then a quiet sound escapes him, and his hand suddenly grips your wrist, holding you there.
You almost pull back, unsure, until his other hand slides around the back of your neck, fingers threading into your hair, and he kisses you back.
Itâs hesitant at first, but when you donât pull away, something shifts.
The kiss deepens, his grip tightens, and the heat radiating off of him is enough to make you dizzy.
When you finally part, Law exhales sharply, pressing his forehead against yours.
ââŚYouâre gonna be a problemâ he mutters, voice rough.
You grin âYeah?â
His fingers tighten in your hair âYeah.â
And then, despite everything, he kisses you again.
Because for once in his life heâs done running.
ââ .⌠Portgas D. Ace:
Ace is naturally affectionate.
He throws an arm around peopleâs shoulders, laughs loudly, and grins like the world is a joke heâs in on. Heâs warm but also because he makes people feel welcome.
So itâs not weird that he touches you a lot.
Right?
It starts when Marco sits down next to you, smirking.
âYou and Ace finally together, yoi?â
You look at him confused âwhat do you mean?â
âA couple⌠are you two a couple?â
You almost drop your drink âWhat? No!â
Marco raises an eyebrow âYou sure? He always saves you a seat at meals. Always gives you his food if you ask. Always keeps an eye on you during fights.â
You roll your eyes âThat doesnât mean anything. Heâs just like that.â
âNot with everyoneâ Marco takes a sip of his drink âJust you.â
You open your mouth to argue, but then you donât know what to say, because now, youâre thinking about it.
The next time Ace sits beside you at dinner, you notice how he slides his plate a little closer to yours, letting you steal his food.
The next time the crew docks at an island, you notice how he instinctively waits for you before walking off together.
The next time youâre about to trip, you donât even get the chance to fall, Ace grabs your wrist and steadies you like itâs second nature.
And maybe it is second nature.
âCareful, Ace,â one of the division commanders teases âIf you keep acting like that, y/n might actually think youâre in love.â
Ace laughs, scratching the back of his head âYeah, yeah.â
You laugh too. Because itâs just a joke⌠Right?
One night, you sit together on the deck, watching the ocean.
You fidget for a second before saying âThe crew keeps calling us a coupleâ
Ace hums âYeah?â
You glance at him âWhy do you think that is?â
He leans back, arms behind his head, and grins âProbably because we act like one.â
You choke on your own breath âExcuse me?!â
Ace tilts his head âI mean, we do everything together. You always take my food, and I always let you. You always pull me out of trouble, and I always let you. Feels natural, doesnât it?â
Your brain short-circuits.
Because now that you think about it... yeah, it does feel natural.
ââŚAce,â you say slowly âAre we...?â
He looks at you, amusement flickering in his eyes âWhat do you think?â
Your stomach flips.
Because suddenly, youâre not sure where the habit ends and the feelings begin.
After this, Ace keeps flirting with you all the time.
Itâs just who he is.
Winks across the deck. Throwing an arm around your shoulders. Calling you hot stuff like itâs your actual name.
Youâre used to it.
But after the teasing from Marco and Thatch, after realizing that Ace treats you differently, you start to wonder.
Is he just playing around? Or is there something real underneath?
Thereâs only one way to find out.
The perfect opportunity comes one afternoon, when Ace flops down next to you on the Moby Dickâs deck, grinning.
âHey,â he drawls, resting an arm behind his head âMiss me?â
You smirk âI saw you literally two hours ago.â
âThatâs two hours too long.â He winks âBet you were thinking about me the whole time.â
You hum, tilting your head âYou really think that, huh?â
Ace chuckles âCâmon, you love me.â
You raise an eyebrow âProve it.â
He blinks âHuh?â
You shift, leaning closer with a sly smile âYou say all this stuff, Ace. You flirt, you tease... but are you actually serious?â
For the first time, he hesitates.
Just for a second, but itâs enough.
ââŚOf course I am,â he says, but his usual confidence isnât all there.
You smirk âThen show me.â
Before he can react, you grab his hat, his precious hat, and plop it onto your own head.
Ace short-circuits.
âOi! Thatâs...!â He reaches for it instinctively but stops mid-motion, staring at you.
You tilt the brim with a smirk âWhat? You said you liked me, right?â
Ace swallows âY-Yeah?â
âThen just take it back.â
You expect him to snatch it back playfully.
What you donât expect is for Ace to grin, eyes flickering with mischief, and suddenly tackle you onto the deck.
You yelp as he hovers over you, forearms braced on either side of your head.
The crew whoops in the background, but neither of you pay them any attention.
Ace smirks down at you âYou think youâre funny, huh?â
You grin âA little.â
Ace shakes his head, chuckling, but then his expression softens.
He reaches up, tilts the hat back just enough to see your face properly.
And then without thinking he leans down and kisses you.
Itâs grinning into the kiss kind of playful. Itâs warm and teasing but full of something deeper.
And when he pulls back, face way too close, he murmurs âNow you gotta prove it.â
Your heart races.
You donât back down. Instead, you tug him down by his necklace and kiss him again.
This time, Ace melts.
When you finally break apart, Ace huffs out a breathless laugh.
âWell,â he grins âGuess you do love me.â
You roll your eyes âShut up.â
But you donât stop him when he kisses you one more time.
Because, honestly?
Heâs right.
ââ .⌠Sabo:
Sabo is easy to be around.
Heâs kind, smart, and always ready to listen. He laughs at your jokes, never forgets your favorite things, and somehow always knows when you need him.
So itâs no surprise that you spend a lot of time together.
But apparently, the way you act around him is a little⌠suspicious.
It starts when youâre walking through the Revolutionary Army base with Koala.
âSo,â she says casually âwhen are you and Sabo going to make it official?â
You nearly trip over your own feet âWhat?!â
Koala grins âCome on, donât play dumb. You two already act like a couple.â
You scoff âNo, we donât.â
She raises an eyebrow âOh really? Whoâs the first person Sabo looks for when he gets back from a mission?â
ââŚMe.â
âWhoâs the only person he lets borrow his gloves?â
ââŚMe.â
âAnd whoâs the only one he lets fall asleep on his shoulder without complaining?â
You open your mouth, but nothing comes out.
Becauseâoh.
Oh.
Koala smirks âSee what I mean?â
You shake your head âThat doesnât mean anything. Weâre just close.â
She shrugs âIf you say so.â
But now, you canât stop thinking about it. You start noticing things, like how Sabo always finds a reason to sit next to you during meals, or how he reaches out to fix your collar or tuck your hair behind your ear like itâs normal, or how he always makes sure you have a blanket when you fall asleep at your desk, even though no one else gets that treatment.
And the worst part?
Now that youâre paying attention, everyone else is too.
âI swear, itâs like theyâre marriedâ one soldier mutters.
âThey finish each otherâs sentencesâ another whispers.
âBet they donât even realizeâ someone else chuckles.
You groan and drop your head onto the table.
Sabo, sitting beside you, blinks âWhatâs wrong?â
âNothingâ you mumble.
He frowns, then wordlessly slides his drink toward you.
You stare at it ââŚDid you just give me your drink?â
He shrugs âYou like it more than I do.â
You glance around. Several soldiers are watching now, smirking.
Slowly, you push the drink back to him.
Sabo looks confused âYou donât want it?â
Your face burns âNope. Iâm fine.â
He tilts his head, then shrugs and takes a sip.
The others snicker.
You sigh.
Later that night, you sit beside him on the rooftop, watching the stars.
âSabo,â you say carefully âdo we⌠act like a couple?â
He hums âWhy?â
âPeople keep saying we do.â
Sabo leans back on his hands, thinking. Then he smiles âI guess I can see why.â
Your heart skips a beat âYou can?â
âWell, weâre always together,â he says easily âI trust you more than anyone. You take care of me, I take care of you. Feels normal.â
You stare at him âThatâs⌠kind of a couple thing, donât you think?â
Sabo looks at you for a long moment. Then he smirks.
âWell,â he says, voice teasing but gentle âdo you want it to be?â
Your breath catches.
And suddenly, the answer seems obvious.
Sabo has always been easy to be around.
You never have to force a conversation. Never have to second-guess his presence.
Heâs just there, a steady warmth beside you, the hand that always steadies your back when you walk through the Revolutionary camp, the person you find yourself naturally leaning against when youâre tired.
And the thing is?
He never pulls away.
Even now, sitting beside you near the fire after a long day, his arm rests lightly along the back of your seat. Close enough to feel, but not demanding.
Itâs natural.
But tonight, somethingâs different.
Thereâs a quiet between you, not uncomfortable, but charged with something unsaid.
You donât know who moves first, but suddenly your head is resting against his shoulder, and instead of shifting away, Sabo just exhales softly, tilting his head against yours.
You close your eyes, feeling the warmth of him, the steady rise and fall of his breathing.
ââŚI like thisâ you murmur, barely thinking.
Sabo hums âMe tooâ A pause. Then... âI always have.â
Your heart stutters.
Slowly, you lift your head, turning just enough to meet his gaze.
His expression is calm, too calm, like heâs waiting for you to understand something heâs known for a long time.
And you do.
Because of course it was always him.
You donât say anything. You donât need to.
Instead, you reach up, gently tracing your fingers along his jaw.
Sabo closes his eyes briefly at the touch before opening them again, watching you with something unreadable, something deep.
Then, without hesitation, he leans in.
The kiss is slow, certain.
Itâs not rushed, not desperate because this was never a question.
It was always going to be this.
When you part, Sabo lingers, his forehead resting against yours.
His hand finds yours, fingers lacing together easily.
ââŚFeels like we shouldâve done that a long time agoâ he murmurs, lips brushing against yours.
You smile âMaybe. But I think we got here at the right time.â
Sabo chuckles softly, squeezing your hand âYeah. I think so too.â
And when he kisses you again, it feels like something that was simply meant to be.

âââââââ
Sabaody was the final hurdle before entering the New World of the Grandline, the definitive proof that the crew you were on was strong enough to brave the waters. Proof all pirates that made it here were to be taken seriously. That they were worth their bounties given, if not worthy of more. Law couldnât help but walk with his head a little higher. Heâd overheard from some of the local chatter that he wasnât the only member of the Worst Generation to be here. In fact all of the eleven Supernovaâs and their crews had docked on the Archipelago so he had to ensure he set himself apart from the rest, to be the picture of everything the said about the Surgeon of Death. While he wasnât intentionally seeking any of the others out, he had to be ready for anything and everything, especially a confrontation with them or the Marines.Â
With time to kill on the relatively calm island he decided to first check the shops before heading to the auction house. He couldnât deny that when heâd heard there was one here, he was interested and had made it a point to investigate it at some stage while he was here. But it wasnât going anywhere just yet. Taking relaxed strides he inspected the shop fronts before finally having his attention grabbed by a bookshop. Stepping inside he began to curiously appraise the shelves, not particularly in search for anything in particular but given the size of the shop and variety of books he was sure he wasnât going to leave empty handed.
Then buried in the wrong section was a medical tome he had been searching for. It was rare and not letting the chance go to waste he reached for it only for another hand to grab it too. Lawâs grip tightened possessively, ready to do whatever was necessary to ensure he got this book. He hoped just by making it known he was a pirate would be enough to intimidate this person and get what he wanted. Looking down with a fierce glare he froze to see you looking up at him with equal determination for the book. For a moment Law felt shaken, his goal momentarily forgotten.Â
Heâd seen your picture at a glance in your bounty poster but hadnât paid it much attention, more interested in the trouble your Strawhat Captain was getting himself and the rest of you into. In person though? It was so different. Law was never one to be thrown by superficial things like looks-not including cute things- but he couldnât stop staring at your face, pulled in by the sharp gleam in your eyes and purse of your lips as you were readying yourself for the same fight he had been before setting eyes on your face. Quickly he was snapped out of his daze when you pulled the book out of the shelf and he regained his grip on it. âI grabbed it first.â
âNo you didnât.â You argued, refusing to back down. âI need this book, for my crewmate.â
âIf they're a skilled enough Doctor then they wonât need it.â Law stated, trying to come up with some sort of argument in the hopes to convince you to let it go but instead you smirked at him.
âIs this your way of saying youâre a bad doctor?â Law was taken aback and felt heat prickle up the back of his neck at both your comment and at how your playful smile made his heart skip slightly. âDo you need the book for more training?â
âI donât need training.â
âSo youâre a skilled doctor?â You smiled, eyes glinting.Â
âOne of the best.â Law affirmed but felt nervous at that when you stepped closer, you hold staying firm on the book.
âSo you donât need the book?â You posed the question sweetly and Law cursed himself for getting backed into a corner from the stupid argument he made. He had to get this stupid infatuation that blindsided him from nowhere under control. All this time he considered your Captain the biggest troublemaker but now he wasnât so sure the more he stared at you, and he wanted to keep staring at you.
He was about to speak when from behind him a couple kids ran by excited to get to the section beyond you both were all the books and comics suited for their ages sat. The brief second was enough distraction for Law as he moved to avoid getting knocked into by the kids and you managed to slip the book out of his hold. With a hum of satisfaction you immediately wasted no time in moving towards the register to pay. Only to get stopped a few steps away by Lawâs hand on your arm. You glanced at the tattooed hand, silently impressed by the strength in his grip. You looked up at his serious expression and smiled before giving a sigh. As fun as it was you had to meet up with the others soon. Law stared down at you, conflicted; annoyingly so. Why did he not want to fight you about the book heâd been searching years for? His fingers twitched against your arm, telling himself to be rational and ignore how his heart was beating at a pace faster than usual. Quickly he dropped his hand. âIâŚI hope your doctor appreciates how valuable that book is.â
âWhatâs the catch?â You asked with a curious smile. âPlanning to steal it after I buy it?â
âWhat? No. I justâŚI saw it here didnât I? Iâm confident Iâll come across it again.â Law explained tightly.Â
âAww, youâre a romantic at heart. Believing in fate, even if it is about a book, itâs unexpected but cute.â Cute? Lawâs face froze once more as he tried to deny the accusation. Why did you make his so flustered and tongue-tied? He didnât even know you. Thankfully you didnât press further and turned away to buy the book, allowing him to make his exit and go to the auction house, assured you most likely wouldnât go there.
How wrong he was. That exchange in the bookshop seemed like a pocket of calm compared to the hell that broke loose just a couple hours later. Law had stayed out of the fight you and your crew had gotten themselves into with Kuma and Kizaru and while he knew it would be best to get as far away as possible he couldn't look away. When you were hit hard and thrown backwards across the battlefield he tensed. Then one by one the Strawhats were disposed of by Kumaâs strange ability, literally vanishing. Law had his gaze on you, watching you too weak to force the power into your legs to try and escape as Luffy screamed at those remaining. When Kumaâs hand was about to make contact with your body, Law acted. Using his own ability he used his room to swap you over. He grabbed you as you slipped in and out of consciousness and hurried as fast as he could, knowing the Warlord would be aware someone intervened.
When Law had you safely in the medical room of the Polar Tang he couldnât help but look at your face as you slept. Why had he saved you? His body just reacted before his mind could stop him. But that pang of fear he felt when he saw you-someone he only knew for a matter of seconds- get hurt and be at risk of disappearing was real. The relief he felt when you were safe in his arms was real too. It was deep and from a place that something as small of a crush couldnât explain. Was it foolish to consider that maybe it was fate? Arabasta â the hottest island and country you have ever been on. Sand and endless kilometers of desert between each city are everywhere. Right now, you are in Alubarna, an ancient city and the capital of Arabasta. The city architecture is manly domed buildings and towers, with ruins from the past all over the outside parts of it, making it very exotic and attractive for people from other islands to visit and explore, though now it is mostly local people around as the country has suffered a big lack of water so the drought that has taken over the country is life treating, except for the capital.
Looking for an escape from the burning hot sun in the busy market streets in Alubarna, you have found yourself in a small clothes shop, trying on different and typical for the country dresses or two-piece sets. Taking look at the mirror and twisting your body left and right you will lie to yourself if you say that you havenât fallen in love with the current two piece set you are wearing. It is a beautify long white skirt with golden belt on top of the waistline with small Caribbean blue stones attach to it. Your chest is covered by a white top â white see-through long sleaves and a bra part, covered in white and golden sequins with a beautiful crafted Caribbean blue stone in the middle of it, you have never felt prettier in a pair of clothes as you feel now. Looking at the mirror you feel like a princess of the desert.
âYou are definitely coming home with me.â You murmur with a smile to yourself as you check yourself out one last time. âHow much are you by the way?â Tapping with your hands trying to find the price tag your eyes widen once you have found it. âA thousand and five hundred berries! Are they crazy?â Shaking your head in disbelief you take the price tag in your hands and tear it away from the skirt. âNot like I was planning to pay for it anyway.â You whisper with a smile as you gather your own clothes in the small green zebra print bag you have carried with yourself. Stepping out of the changing room you look around carefully before going to the cash register. Â Â
âOh, I see you have liked the set, mâlady.â The middle-aged man, the owner of the shop you guess, says as he sees you approaching him.
âYes, I did â in fact I plan to buy more, but you see...â Your gesture to him to get closer to you like you donât want the rest of the customers to hear what you are about to say. âIâm very pretensions and I was wondering - do you by any chance have something that it hasnât been displayed yet?â You flutter your lashes at him. âThe price doesnât matter.â You give a little wink as you see him falling for your little act.
The middle aged, slightly round and bald manâs eyes spark with happiness as he hears this â you are his favourite type of client. He tells you to give him a second and that he will be back in just a second and the moment he leaves the cash register you donât waste any time and run out of the shop. After a moment you hear a scream, a yell, something among the lines âCatch the bugler!â, but it is too late now as you have already escaped and blend yourself with the crowd in the market.
Walking along the streets you start to look around for your husband. He has to be somewhere near by, you just hope he hasnât wandered somewhere far away, as sometimes he has the habit to does so.
âBuy this apple and you will be able to live up to thousand years.â You hear a merchant offer his scammed goods to someone.
"Sorry, I'm not interested in living thousand years. I just need to live today." You hear the person responds, and a sly smirk appears on your lips. Fixing your posture and lifting your chin up a bit, you start walking around the market a bit more confident. It doesnât take long before you hear a voice behind you. âWho in their right mind has let you wander around all by yourself?â
Biting on your inner cheek, trying to stop yourself from smiling, you answer. âMy husband.â Â
âAh, what a fool is your husband. Letting a gem like you all alone.â The person walking behind dramatically says. âWhat if someone steals you?â
âI doubt someone would dare.â You shrug with one shoulder as you make a turn, walking into a small dead-end alley, away from preying eyes.
âHm, how so?â The man behind you smirks as he has followed you and now stands even close to you.
âBecause my husband always finds me.â You smile as you turn around to face the man standing behind you and you wrap your arms around him, pulling him into a burning, full of passion kiss.
âYou look beautiful baby.â Ace says as he pulls away from you and checks you all without any remorse. âDamn, I really need to stop letting wander by yourself, because someone might steal you from me for real.â He pulls you close to him as he runs his hands around your bare waist, feeling your soft skin under his fingers.
âI can say the same for you Portgas.â You giggle as you place your fingers on his broad muscular chest, feeling the warmth of his skin under your fingers. He is always so warm, even without the burning sun, Ace is like a walking one, but you donât mind it, you never had and never will. After all you have gotten a personal heating blanket in the face of your husband for the rest of your life, how can you complain? âAre you hungry my love?â
âAlways.â He slowly nods and licks his lower lip, not being able to tear his eyes from the curves of your body in this two-piece set. He usually canât take his eyes of you no matter what you are wearing, or not wearing, but this piece of clothing is doing something to him.
âI meant food Ace.â You softly sigh as you place two fingers under his chin and lift it up so he can look at your eyes. âEyes here boy. So, are you hungry?â
âAlways.â He says as he pulls you close to him once again and kisses the top of your head before you get on your way to dish and dash somewhere.

You are both sitting at the bar in the first restaurant you have found. While Ace is already on his third plate you are still on your first, taking your time savouring the taste of the tipical local dish you have ordered for yourself, enjoying the new flavours that you are trying for a first time ever, while your husband just appreciates the fact that the food is good.
âHave you got any leads so far?â You ask your raven-haired husband.
âNo.â He answers with frowned brows. âBut Iâm sure I have something on Lu-â Hearing a loud splash noise from the plate of your husband, you jump on the side as you donât need to look to see that it is in fact him having a narcolepsy attack midway lunch.
âThanks God, he didnât eat something with sauce on it.â You breathe out relieved, after checking your outfit to see it has gotten a spot or something from the food. People in the restaurant gather around your worried, but you told them not to worry as you got this. Pulling Ace up, you clean his face with a napkin as this has become like a second nature to you now, as he slowly starts to wake up.
âSorry, baby. Please donât tell me I ruined your clothes.â He gives you an apologetic look as he checks you out to make sure he hasnât splashed any food on you. You shake your head with a smile and before you get the chance to respond to him - he is gone. Your husband is literally gone, as he has been swept away with a force straight through some walls and now instead of him, a guy identically looking like your husband, stands next to you.
âHa, now this is interesting turn of events.â You chuckle as you observe the boy with the straw hat standing next to you. âRunning away from trouble Luffy?â You ask like you have known him for years, even though this is the first time ever you see your husbandâs little brother, whom you only know from stories and his bounty poster.
âYes, this annoying Smoker doesnât leave me alone.â He answers to you without even questioning how you even know him or what is he running from. âHey, are you eating all this by yourself?â He looks back and forth between you and the three extra plates left with food from your husband.
âEat them if you are hungry.â You smile and hand one of the plates to the young reckless pirate and his eyes widen from happiness as he takes the plate and devours it in seconds. âYou can take the rest as well.â You say standing up as you make your way to where your husband has been sent flying to make sure that he is okay, you know he is, but you are sure he would like to know that it was his little brother who caused all that.
âThank you, nice lady.â Luffy screams after you with full mouth.
You just giggle as you make your way through the broken walls. âDamn, this was quite the impact.â Murmuring under your breath you finally reach your husband, who is getting up from the ground and doesnât look very happy with what have happened. âAre you okay, Ace?â Your sweet voice catches up his attention and he just nod. Opening his mouth to say something he is getting interrupt by a yell from Smoker, who you havenât even noticed until now, but he is long gone before any of you can react as he goes to chase after Luffy once again.
âStraw-hat?â Ace looks at you with excitement.
âYes, I forgot to mention that the person behind this mess in no other than your little brother, so I think you might want to jump in the chase.â With a little twist of your body to the side you gesture to your husband to go run after his brother.
âYou know where to meet me princess.â Ace says as he gives you a quick peck on the lips and runs after his brother.

âHuh? Thatâs weird. Why am I the only one here?â Luffy wonders as he finds himself in a dead alley sitting on a water barrel, with neither his crew nor brother around. Speaking of his brother, he still canât believe he has reunited with him after not seeing each other for who knows how long. âWhere did everyone go?â
âSheesh! I guess my letting you escape was pretty pointless.â Luffy hears the too familiar voice sarcastically says somewhere close to him. Looking around and then finally up, Luffy sees his older brother standing there with a big smile.
âYo, Ace!â Luffy jumps on his feet as his brother lands on the ground.
âHavenât seen you in a while, Luffy.â Observing now his grown little brother, Ace canât feel anything else but be proud of him and of the man his is becoming.
âYou too, Ace.â Both grip on each othersâ hands is a strong lock over the barrel. âHow long has it been?â
âGood question, but Luffy, it looks like you still go on your own pace, just like you did when you were kid.â Ace smirks mischievously as he can feel his brother putting force in trying to get Aceâs hand down and claim himself a winner.
âYou too, Ace. I was surprised you ate a Devil Fruit, but besides that youâre the same.â Luffy says with a big grin.
âOh, ye?â Ace laughs out loud as he hasnât expected to hear this. He has definitely changed a lot since they last saw each other.
âLike when you would sneak into the fields and eat a hundred watermelons and then spit the seeds like your mouth is a gun and run?â Luffy blurs out fast as Ace has taken upper hand in their hand fight.
âThis wasnât me. It was you.â
âAnd then you got big bumps right here.â
âThat was you again. I just watched and laughed.â Ace says as he is close to take the hand of his little brother down, but the barrel with water under them breaks due to their strength and their hands stay in the air locked in a firm handshake.
âI guess weâre both the same.â Luffyâs big smile spread across his face as him and Ace unlock hands and go for a high-five. âThis brings back memories.â

Walking around town the two brothers are having small talks and catching up to each other, yet Ace still hasnât mentioned the fact that he has married the girl of his dreams recently as he wants to do this when you are standing next to him. You have turned his life upside down in the best way possible and having you in it makes it finally worth living.
âSay, what kind of crew you have?â Ace is curious to know with what people his little brother has surrounded himself and Luffy wastes no time telling him about his crew â a swordsman, a navigator, a cook, a lair and the latest addition a reindeer. âThatâs quite the variety youâve got there.â
âWe also have a princess and a duck now.â Luffy excitedly exclaims. âTheyâre all so interesting.â
âIâm sure you are the most interesting of them all.â Ace chuckles. âStill, a handful of people for a pirate crew... Thatâs just like you.â He smirks looking at Luffy.
âAnd I want a musician, too.â

You are waiting patiently by the Striker. It has been some time now, but you are sure that Ace is just catching up with his little brother. As you are sitting and waiting, finally, you see you husbands silhouette approaching you. You get up on your feet and smile at him once he stands in front of you.
âHow was it?â You ask while wrapping your arms around his neck.
âYou have to meet him officially.â Ace tells you with a big smile. âHe is already on his ship so we can make a quick visit. After all I need to check his crew personally, what if they are not good enough for him?â
âAy, ay commander.â You laugh out.
You and Ace gather your things quickly in the Striker and get to the open sea fast. As you are approaching the Going Merry you notice that there are quite lot of marines.
âI will take care of them.â Ace winks at you and you playfully roll your eyes. He just wants to show off to his little brother and crew, but you wonât deny that you enjoy the show yourself. It doesnât take long for your husband to take down the three marines ships after all he is Fire Fist Ace, what else is there to be said?
Landing on the railing of the Going Merry, Ace is met with an awe by the entire crew. While they are having their little interaction you have reached the ship with the Striker and quietly made your way up to your husband who sensed you the moment you stopped your little boat.
âHey, Luffy.â Ace awkwardly says with a big grin spread across his lips. âThere is someone I would like you to meet.â He scratches the back of his neck as he is not sure exactly how to announce to his brother that he is a married man now. âYou see I-â
âHey, what are you doing here, nice lady?â Luffy asks confused as he is the first one to notice you standing next to Ace on the railing, and now him, his crew and your husband all look at you confused. A sea of questions start being thrown at you from how you managed to get on the ship to who you are, until one particular question takes everyone out by surprise.
âNice lady? Why does he call you this?â Ace looks at you in confusion.
âOh, we met in the restaurant where he sent you flying.â You explain with a smile and Aceâs eyes shit to Luffy who nods his head in confirmation.
âShe let me eat for free.â Luffy adds and now it all makes sense to Ace why he calls you the ânice ladyâ. âHow you two know each other?â
Looking at you, with all the love and admiration in the world, Ace canât stop the smile which spreads across his face as he says, âThis is my wife.â You return the smile as you two step down of the railing into the deck and interlace your fingers. âLuffy and crew, this is my wife (Y/N).â Ace introduces you to everyone and they are all in awe, now that the confusion and shock has passed away.
âHe is a good big brother.â Chopper, the cute reindeer doctor says, and Usopp the guy with unusual long nose nods in agreement.
âWish I had one growing up.â Usopp adds to Chopperâs comment.
âAnd he is a good husband.â Nami the navigator of the ship as she has introduced herself to you exclames as she cluches her chest admiring you and Ace.
âA loving one on top of it.â Vivi, the princess of Arabasta, adds as she wraps her arms around Nami.
âI hope I get blessed with such a beautiful, gorgeous wife myself one day.â Sanji, the cook of the ship cries out, and for a moment you even think that if his eyes can turn into a heart shape they will.Â
âSimp.â Zoro, the swordsman, makes fun of him, but the blush on his face is not helping as he shyly takes glance at you.
âWife? Why?â Luffyâs eyes shifts between you and Ace in slight confusion. The whole concept of marriage has been something he has never understood so this is a bit confusing for him.
âWhat do you mean by why, you idiot?â Sanji screamed at him. âHaving a wife as beautiful as (Y/N)-swan must be the closest feeling to heaven.â He cries out again.
You and your husband just laugh at the scene in front of you. His brother is exactly as he has described him, but he is obviously a good kid with good friends along his journey.
âWhen did you two married?â Vivi looks at you excitedly and Nami follows her with a question.
âHow did you two meet?â
âHow do you find a woman like her?â The lovesick cook cries out... again.
Before you or Ace can answer any question Luffy interrupts. âWhy donât you stay with us for a bit?â To which you agree.

Two days have past since you have joined the crew and both, you and Ace, are having fun with his brother and friends. The similarities between Ace and Luffy sometimes scare you a bit, due to the fact that you are aware they are not biological brothers by any means, yet they act and look like ones so much.
The night has taken over the desert and you are having fun with the girls, missing the feeling of having female company around you, as the crew you are part of is mostly made of men, which you donât mind, because not only you have met the love of your life among these men, but also your family.
Everyone has started preparing to go to sleep, while the little adorable reindeer Chopper is having a little banter with Usopp, but Zoro is quick to put an end to it. Meanwhile Ace is observing everyone and everything carefully, enjoying the night, but also lost in his own thoughts.
âYo, Luffy. Come here.â Ace calls out for his brother and signals to him with a nod to follow him. Stepping aside from everyone and making sure that no one would hear him, Ace looks at Luffy seriously. âI want you to promise me something.â
âWhat?â Luffy raises one brow a little annoyed with his brother interrupting his fun before bed. Â
âIf something ever happens to me, I-â Ace canât finish his sentence as he is quickly being interrupt.
âWhat do you mean if something happens to you? You have promised me that you wonât die.â His brother is quick to remind him the promise Ace has given a long time ago.
âAnd I wonât.â Ace replies slight harshly as his brother doesnât even let him finish his sentence. âNow let me finish what I have to say.â He scolds Luffy. âIâm saying â If something happens to me, I want you to promise me to take care of her.â Ace canât help but look at your direction. âI know she is strong and can handle herself no matter what, but please, promise me that you will look after her if something ever happens.â He returns his attention to his brother.
âI promise Ace. But you also have a promise to keep.â
âAnd I will.â Ace winks to his little brother as he pats his back, and they return to the rest of the group.
Seeing them coming back you give Ace a smile â a smile for which he is willing to die for but also keep on living for every day, as his days have become better since the day he saw it for a first time ever. Back there he has promised to himself on the spot that he will call you his wife no matter what, and he did keep his promise.

can i request hcs of monster trio and ace/law getting jealous of someone stealing readerâs attention?
đđđđđđđđđ ďš ŕą¨ŕ§

đľ ďš â warnings : none, pure fluff, gender isn't mentioned I think ・â â đŚš
đđđđđđ đ. đđđ
đ
đ
Luffy, despite his carefree and unrefined nature, is open about his feelings for you. His youthful exuberance and boundless energy make his attachment to you both overwhelming and endearing. If someone tries to take your attention away, he doesnât hesitate to express his feelings. His face scrunches up into an exaggerated pout, his lips puffing out as he declares, âHey! Thatâs my [Y/N]!â in a tone that is both childish and possessive.
Luffy usually doesnât care much about competition, but when it comes to you, he will go to great lengths to capture your attention. Whether itâs interrupting conversations with his signature enthusiasm or pulling you into a tight, playful hug, he makes sure everyone knows you are his priority.
If someone continues to ignore him, Luffy's behavior will become even more outrageous. He might start doing silly stunts, telling jokes, or even challenging the intruder to a goofy competitionâall to get your attention back. His actions are loud, chaotic, and completely in character, but they stem from a place of genuine affection.
đĄđđđđđđ đđđđ
Zoroâs jealousy is as sharp and precise as his swordsmanship. Heâs not one to wear his emotions openly, but when someone catches your attention, his stoic demeanor becomes a little more intense. His arms cross, his gaze narrows, and his silence speaks volumes. He doesnât need words to convey his displeasure.
If the situation escalates, Zoro's pride won't allow him to stand by without taking action. He'll find a way to involve himself, often pretending that he needs your help with something trivial, like adjusting his swords or reaching for a drink. His movements are deliberate, and his tone remains casual, but his piercing gaze is always fixed on the intruder.
Zoroâs jealousy is subtle yet powerful. He doesnât create a scene, but his actions and presence are enough to remind everyoneâespecially youâthat heâs not someone to be underestimated when it comes to matters of the heart.
đĽđđđđđđđ đđđđđ
Sanjiâs jealousy is as intense and dramatic as his personality. When someone tries to capture your attention, his romantic nature ignites like a storm. His words are filled with passion and possessiveness, and his voice drips with charming sweetness as he declares, âDarling, you should know, no one could ever treat you the way I do!â
His jealousy is anything but subtle. He showers you with flirtatious compliments while his eyes smolder with intensity, casting pointed glances at anyone he sees as a threat. Sanji's love language revolves around grand gestures, which he uses to remind youâand everyone elseâthat you are his muse, his one and only.
If the situation requires it, Sanji will go all out. He might prepare an extravagant meal just for you, presenting it with a theatrical bow and flourish. His jealousy is intertwined with passion, spectacle, and an unwavering devotion that is impossible to ignore.
đđđđđđđ đ. đđđ
Aceâs jealousy is subtle, reflecting his laid-back personality, yet it runs deep. When someone captures your attention, he observes from a distance, maintaining a calm expression while his gaze remains intense. A quiet tension fills the air, and a slight change in his demeanor reveals the depth of his feelings.
If the intruder persists, Ace will step in with his trademark charm and ease. His words are teasing, his tone light, but thereâs a possessiveness lurking beneath the surface. âCareful, they might bite,â he might say with a smirk, his voice smooth and affectionate. âYou wouldnât want to get too close.â
Aceâs jealousy is never overt, but itâs always present. He doesnât need grand gestures or dramatic declarations to remind you where his heart lies. His quiet confidence and subtle actions speak louder than words ever could.
đŁđđđ
đđđđđ đ. đŚđđđđ đđđ
Law's jealousy is a masterclass in restraint and quiet intensity. He doesn't engage in loud displays of emotion, but when someone attracts too much of your attention, his presence becomes unmistakable. He lingers in the background, his posture rigid and his gaze sharp, while his silence is heavy with unspoken possessiveness.
His actions are intentional and thoughtful. A gentle touch, a soft word, or a slight change in distance is enough to remind youâand everyone elseâthat you belong to him. âYou seem⌠quite interested in them,â he might murmur, his tone cool but tinged with a hint of irritation.
When Law's patience begins to wear thin, his jealousy becomes more evident. A slight scowl, a protective arm around you, or a sharp glare at the intruder acts as a silent warning. His love is deep and intimate, and he won't hesitate to defend it with the same precision he uses in battle.

roommate!zoro
hi guys i love zoro so much i might actually explode.
-
-zoro is a sleepy guy, so he loves taking naps on the couch. like all the time. you rarely get to sit on it, since his entire body is always occupying the seats. the living room is basically his bedroom, with him preferring to sleep there over his actual one. you've sat on him once, somehow not noticing the lump that was snoring away underneath the blanket.
"zoro, do you not like your bed?"
the question makes the man raise an eyebrow, what kind of question was that? what kind of person doesn't like their own bed?
"of course i do, do you?"
"do i like your bed? i've never been on it."
now you're both confused, but the man opts to just close his eyes again. you pull your lips into a tight line, deciding to focus your attention back to your book. conversations between the two of you never went well if they went on too long.
-zoro cannot cook. like don't even let him get near the kitchen Please. you don't understand how it happens, he could have a recipe pulled up on his phone and he still somehow messes it up. the smoke detector is going off, your pots and pans are burnt, and zoro is yelling at his ruined dish.
"it's not my fault! it's the stupid ass ingredients and recipe!"
you roll your eyes as you frantically try to fan away all the smoke. "how could it be the ingredients and recipe? you just can't read!"
"oh now you're being ungrateful, this dish was for us!"
"zoro, do me the biggest favor and never cook anything ever again. i'll cook for us."
-friday movie nights with lots of alcohol. thankfully you can both hold your alcohol pretty well, so drinking with zoro was always a chill time. your only issue was that you tended to be a little more affectionate when drunk, but zoro was usually passed out once you got to that point.
"cheers!" you grin while bumping your tiny shot glass to zoro's full cup of beer. he scoffs, but there's a small smile on his face when he watches you take the shot and immediately grimace.
"do we have to cheers every time we take a shot? we've done this about eight times now."
"zoro," you look at him pointedly. "you're really such a buzzkill! of course we have to cheers every time!"
zoro notices the way your cheeks start to turn pink and how you slowly start moving closer to him on the couch. he always tries not to think anything of it, but he can't help but think that you're a little bit cute when you're drunk. just a little though.
and that's usually his cue to put his hands behind his head and close his eyes, so that he doesn't have to deal with his heart pounding against his chest when you act like that.
"already, zoro?" you whine. "you always fall asleep so fast!"
-he walks around shirtless all the time. sometimes he'll even sport the shirtless and gray sweatpant combo. it's actually a pain in the ass because he's so hot. and you have a staring problem. the worst thing about it is that zoro is fully aware that you ogle him, but he secretly loves it.
"zoro, please put a shirt on! you shouldn't walk around like that in front of me." you grumble, but the way you can't bring yourself to look at him, gives your true feelings away.
and since you're not looking at him, you don't see the smirk that forms on his face when he sees how much it affects you.
"go back into your room if you hate it so much."
"hey! i live here too, i should be able to walk into the kitchen without you being half naked!"
-does not lock the door when he uses the bathroom. the amount of times you've accidentally walked in on him showering or using the toilet is actually criminal. and when you yell at him to start locking the door, he blames you instead.
"maybe you should knock, the door is closed isn't it?" he rolls his eyes as he towel dries his hair.
"you should still lock it! sometimes i forget to knock."
"what's the big deal anyways? you've seen me naked multiple times now."
-he's actually super sweet and the best roommate. whenever you're tired from work, he always makes sure to make things a little easier for you. if that means ordering takeout so you don't have to cook, he'll do it. he'll tidy up around the apartment, because he knows it bothers you coming home to a messy house. and if you don't drive, he'd drop you off and pick you up from work. the only con to that was he always got lost on the way, but it was just something you had to get used to. and you'd gladly wait as long as you had for him.

lipstick stains on law and kid
sfw-ish
law
law is reserved. private. he likes to keep to himself and hides his emotions behind a clenched jaw, furrowed eyebrows, and annoyance from anything he couldnât control. and, one of those things he couldnât control is your lips smothering his face with you lipstick - specifically his forehead and cheeks.
yes, law likes you. a lot. but your relationship is like a first crush between two kids: innocent and filled with unspoken feelings.
âstop doing that,â law muttered, immediately wiping your kiss from his cheek. you giggled - he wasnât angry. he was blushing.
âstill donât like it, huh?â you asked, cupping his face.
law didnât tense up but instead breathed out, âmhm.â
you sighed and sat next to him, laying your head on his shoulder. the hum of the polar tangâs engine hummed in the background.
âitâs okay, law,â you replied, holding one of his large hands in yours. âwe can take it slow.â
he nodded and kissed the top of your head. âthank you.â he whispered.
kid
you and this lump of aggression and incompetence are a fan of lipstick; mainly because itâs a competition between you two to see who could give the other the most lipstick stains. anywhere and everywhere until your lips are back to their original color.
âtch. i let you win this round.â kid grumbled as you put another tally mark under your name. you turned to him, stains on your face, neck, arms, handsâŚeverywhere.
âthank you,â you smiled proudly. âlooks like iâm - â
âpsych!â kid growled. âi still have some lipstick on.â he grabbed your arms and pulled you back first against his tone chest. âwhen are you going to learn that iâll always win?â he whispered in your ear, kissing the start of your jaw. with practiced gentleness, he slipped down the sleeves of your tank top and messily trailed his lips down your shoulder to your fingers. he turned your wrist around and kissed your pulse, biting the skin.
with his metal arm, he ran a finger down the front of your chest, circling your perky nipples under the fabric, and went down to the hem of your pants.
âyouâre cheating,â you whispered, turning your head to catch a glimpse of him. kid took his lips off your wrist and kissed each finger, slowly sucking and biting each digit.
âi donât know how to cheat.â he laughed, turning you around so you were straddling his lap.
the bed creaked under you as you settled into position. kidâs metal fingers slid under your chin, tilting your head back to expose the curve of your neck.
he licked the lipstick off your skin, leaving a bold red smear, before kissing it again - his touch slow and satisfying. his regular hand pressed against your foot, pushing your leg further apart, before grabbing your thigh with a firm grip.
âiâm leaving more than just lipstick on you today,â he murmured into your ear, âand youâre going to like it.â

â iixch production
My dear sailor đ´ââ ď¸
synopsis: Shanks is in town, and heâs only got one person on his mind as he docks in Windmill Village
warming: cursing, (semi) public sex
Windmill village was in such a buzz that you know immediately knew what it meant, Shanks and his crew would be in town soon. The arrival of the Red Hairs Pirates meant good stories, good drinks and even better company.
You went down to the bar to see Makimo in a rush, readying barrels of beer and rum. Today would be one of her biggest sells of the year. She politely nods to you before getting back to work.
âY/n! Y/n! This is the day. I know it. Shanks is going to let me onto his crew!â Luffy, a young boy that you had a hand in helping raise calls excitedly as he runs around in a hurry to the docks.
âHeâd be lucky to have you, Luffy.â You say chuckling. âCâmon, letâs go to the docks together.â You hold your hand out, which Luffy happily takes as he tugs you forward excited to the ocean.
The cool breeze coming from the sea is a balm from the blazing summer sun. The wood planks creaking under you and Luffyâs feet, as you approach the dock- in infamous ship docked and unloading.
You see Yasopp unloading crates, he grins seeing you, âY/n! My, my, how have you been lass? Prettier everyday.â He says setting down the crate to give you a hug. Youâve known the crew for years, they were all closed family.
âJust fine, thank you, Yasopp. Good to see you too.â You say chuckling.
Luffy tugs on your shirt, âHey! I wanna say âhiâ too!â He says as he tries to wiggle between you two to join in on the hug.
âOye! Luffy! Get up here and help us haul these crates!â A crew member orders as he comes down the ramp with crates himself. âY/n, lovely to see you as always.â He bids as he walks down the dock.
As everyone comes down the vessel with there haul in tow, you shake your head and sigh when you see the smirk on Shanks face.
âSweet lass, where have you been?â He asks dramatically as he comes down the ramp, and quickly wraps and arms around your waist, tugging you against him.
âMm, better question, where have you been?â You ask him noticing new scars on his chest as your pressed so close to him.
âOh, you know⌠the edge of the world,â He says shrugging before chuckling and suddenly kissing you. âMissed you.â
Your used to the nature of Shanks and reciprocated the kiss. He moved feverishly as his lips move against yours, before tugging on your bottom lip with his teeth, and delving deeper into the kiss with his tongue. Soft groan leaves him at the familiarity, the history. God, he missed you.
âShanks! Stop it!â Luffy huffs suddenly pulling the red head away from you. âWe donât have time for your- shenanigans, you need to catch me up on your adventures!â
You laugh at Shanks defeated glance he sends your way before picking up Luffy and setting him on your shoulders. âHereâs a lesson: the best thing about pirate life is coming home to that special someone.â
Luffy rolls his eyes. âSure, Shanks.â
You and Shanks laugh as you three walk to Makimo bar, Luffy excited to listen to the adventures of the men- who were surely already two beer kegs through.
â˘â˘â˘
The night was a buzz, and the energy was boisterous and lively. Tons of village people listening and drunk. When things were getting a little too heated for young eyes, you all bid Luffy good night.
âShaaaanks, let my stay up with the men!â
âGo on, little man. We will be here in the morning.â Shanks says.
The boy huffs, but after a wave and prolonged goodbye he leaves, to which Shanks is quick to call you over and sitting you on his lap as he drinks. âFinally.â He says exasperated, and everyone begins laughing.
âIf it werenât for the good beer and port, Iâd say the only reason we dock at Windmill Village is so Capâ can see his lass!â Says one of the members while laughing.
You shake your head, slightly flustered, though Shanks doesnât know the concept of embarrassment or shame as he drinks and holds your hip with on hand and another on your thigh.
â˘â˘â˘
Benn Beckman was recounting an encounter the crew had with some Marines, everyone was attentive and hanging onto the edge of there seat- so were you, except because Shanks was currently pumping two fingers unforgivingly, in and out of your wet cunt.
His hand slithered from behind and under your skirt, underwear pulled the the side as he worked you. Other hand holding a mug full of beer.
Your thighs quenched together and you downcasted your gaze as you tried to control your facial expressions and reactions.
âShanksâŚyou, couldnât you pick a more appropriate time..?â You ask breathless and whispered.
âThis is an appropriate time, y/n.â He says coming to whisper up to your ear. His warm breath fanning shading your skin eliciting a shiver. âI have to stretch you out before tonight, donât I?â
You huff and try to rebuttal his faulty logic, you swallow a moan, though whimper slipped through your lips. His thick fingers curled and slid, his thumb rubbing you off. When you feel the overwhelming pleasure turn to a force able orgasm, you hesitate.
âMmm..Shanks not here,â You say voice held back.
He chuckles and instead of reassuring words, he kisses your neck. His lips spotting your skin, and when he finds your pulse point, giving it extra attention.
âShanks-!â You whisper yelled at him.
âShhh, you donât want the entire village to know your cumming on my lap, do you?â He says smirking with a devilish grin as he feels your body tense, a coil tightened to fringes about to loosen.
âFuckâŚâ You couldnât hold yourself back any longer. So on Shanks lap, surrounded by his crew and the entirety of Windmill Village, you let yourself have the orgasm Shanks has been curating.
âFuck, lass, donât make face.â He says smirking as he watches your expressions, his fingers still rubbing you through the high.
It was so lewd, but god did it feel good. Maybe it was the risk of getting caught, or the fact that youâve just been deprived while Shanks was away of sexual pleasure, but it hit you harder this time. You could feel his hard cock press against your ass, he wills himself to still his hips, as he feels you rut against him.
And suddenly out of nowhere Shanks stands, causing you to almost buckle to the ground if it werenât for him holding you by the hips.
âMe and Y/n are going to turn in for the night,â He says, setting down his beer and holding you upright by your waist. âLeave some beer for me!â No one really thought you or Shanks would do any sleeping⌠the captain really did come to Windmill village for one thing, since you could get better beer on other islands, he wanted you. And heâd keep coming as long as the seas let him.

Being ASLs Sister: Headcanons.
Ace and Sabo are still older, Luffy is still the youngest.
Takes place when theyâre all much younger.
Ace, your oldest brother, whose words donât match his actions. He may say things that would make you think youâre bothering him, but his actions remind you that you are truly his one and only little (baby to him) sister.
Ace, who notices what food you like and places more of that food onto your plate. He still eats like heâs eating for three at once, but heâll make an exception for your favourite food by giving a piece or two.
Ace, who's afraid of you getting hurt, so he does all the hunting. But (unintentionally), this leaves you to do all the chores he left behind.
Ace, who always goes with you into town for groceries, noticing the way your eyes sparkled at an article of clothing you liked. You find that same piece of clothing on your makeshift bed the next day, but youâll never know it was him. If you asked, heâd tell you it was a gift from Makino.
Sabo, who stole and ran off with a bowl of ramen for you to try when you couldnât come to Goa Kingdom with them. If you couldnât experience something with your brothers, heâll bring the experience back to you.
Sabo, whoâs always a few steps behind you when you join them in the forest. No one can sneak up on you this way, not when heâs always on guard and ready to swing at anything that comes too close.
Sabo, who actually helps you around the hut in the morning so youâre able to go out with them instead of taking on their leftover chores.
Luffy, your one and only younger brother, who youâve come to adore since his arrival. The one who always lingered by your side even while you washed the dishes, because he wanted a friend in his new home. You were his first friend.
Luffy, who puffs his chest up when he walks in front of you, almost bodyguard-like to ward off the animals in the forest. Not only does he want to be able to protect his older sister, but he wants to appear strong too.
Luffy, who wants to share all of his little findings with you. Heâll enthusiastically show you his beetles; new treasure; a (stupid and silly) new trick he learned from older brothers. In return, he also gets quite excited when you have something to share with him.
Luffy, who despite still being so young, was the most attuned to your emotions. Who never hesitated in making you smile when he felt a tinge of sadness; who effortlessly made awkward situations more bearable; who understood when you needed help even without knowing the full story.
Your three brothers, who when you had fallen asleep, followed your action soon after. Sabo, who walked off to grab a huge blanket. Ace, who grumbled about you falling asleep in a position that would hurt your neck. Then Luffy, who ran to claim a spot beside you and was the first to fall asleep on your shoulder.
The other two soon followed in tandem. With Ace claiming the last spot beside you with his arms crossed, as Sabo spread the blanket amongst the four of you, before claiming his spot beside Luffy. Before the eldest two fell asleep, they shared a small smile, an unspoken promise between them to protect their younger siblings.
The next morning, the four siblings would be found by Dadan, who almost shed a tear at the display, before telling the other bandits to be quieter so as to not wake up the children.

TYPA GIRL

Zoroâs ideal woman is not defined by fleeting preferences or superficial attractions. He is a man of unwavering resolve, one who walks a path carved by discipline and will. The woman who captures his heart would not be delicate, nor would she bend to the world around herâshe would be a force in her own right, a presence unshaken by hardship. Strength, to him, is not just about power but about endurance, about the ability to stand firm when the weight of the world presses down. A woman who sharpens herself like a blade, who refuses to crumble under pressure, would earn his admiration without effort.
A warriorâs spirit calls to him, whether it manifests in the way she wields a sword, commands a battlefield, or simply holds her ground with quiet defiance. He has never been drawn to fragilityâhe has known strength since childhood, first in Kuina, whose skill outmatched his own, and later in the powerful women he has encountered on his journey. The lesson has never left him: skill, determination, and the will to push past oneâs limits are what truly matter. A woman who trains beside him, who doesnât falter in the face of exhaustion, who challenges him without hesitationâthat is the kind of woman who could carve her way into his heart.
Muscles? He wouldnât care for them in the way others might, but if a woman bore the marks of her disciplineâtoned arms, the faint ripple of abs beneath her skinâhe would notice. Not because he values appearance, but because he understands the effort behind it. Strength, after all, is something he recognizes before beauty. A woman whose body speaks of resilience, who carries herself with the quiet confidence of someone who knows her own power, would earn a lingering glance, perhaps even a smirk of approval. Yet, if she were soft, it wouldnât matter. Strength is not measured in muscle alone, and he knows that well. It is found in presence, in the way a person endures, in the steadiness of their will.
Short hairâthereâs something about it that strikes a chord within him. He wouldnât consciously seek it out, nor would he turn away from a woman with long, flowing locks. But thereâs an undeniable charm in a woman who carries herself with the confidence to wear her hair short. Itâs practical, unburdened, freeâlike the women he has known who refuse to be weighed down. Perhaps itâs an echo of Kuina, or perhaps itâs the sheer simplicity of it, the way it frames the sharpness of a womanâs gaze. Whatever the reason, a pixie cut or a cropped style would not go unnoticed.
More than anything, Zoro is drawn to presence. A woman who doesnât need to chase attention, who doesnât demand admiration but earns it effortlessly. She doesnât have to be loud or brash; in fact, he would likely prefer someone who doesnât waste words on empty things. Someone who speaks with purpose, whose actions hold more weight than fleeting sentiments. A woman who doesnât need him, who does not shrink herself for the sake of fitting into someone elseâs expectations, but whose existence beside him feels naturalâlike two warriors walking the same path.
And if she can drink? If she can sit beside him, bottle in hand, and meet him in a contest of will, he might just find himself watching her a little too closely. Because strength isnât just about fightingâitâs about enduring, about standing firm. A woman who can match him sip for sip without wavering, who can meet his gaze across the table without flinching, would command a level of respect he rarely gives freely. Not because he seeks competition, but because he understands what it means to endureâto hold oneâs ground when the world tries to pull you under.
Above all, Zoro values a woman who walks her own path. A woman who does not bend for the sake of pleasing others. A woman who stands beside him not because she is waiting for him to turn toward her, but because her journey aligns with his. Not a follower, not an admirer, but an equal. That is the kind of woman who could slip past his walls, unnoticed at firstâuntil one day, he realizes she has been beside him all along.

May I request OP DILF with a reader who likes to ride them or who can be more dominant at times
The OP Dilfs with a dominant!reader that likes to ride them
Characters: Doflamingo, Mihawk, Crocodile, Smoker, Shanks
Warnings: sex (obviously)
Masterlist
Dracule Mihawk

Even though he accepted to let you be on top and ride him, it still looks like he has the power.
He has too much dom energy going on, so you decided to also tie him up with some rope and handcuffs (shibari style).
That made things a little easier, but still his eyes looked like you were about to melt.
It's nearly impossible to surpass this men on domination.
Luckily, when he closed his eyes and started humping the air, searching for contact and groaning a little, then you started to feel better about yourself.
One thing that he will never say out loud is that he may have dramatized a little his behaviour to make you feel better about it, he knows his appearance can be a little to intimidating sometimes.
Donquixote Doflamingo

If you want to be dominant and ride him, you will have to fight him for it.
Since he is really big, you know you can't win, but you can still try.
He will keep in mind your efforts and then evaluate if you are ready to thake the charge or not.
The experience is curious cause he is big and you take your time but he also is impatient and tries to speed things up.
Since he isn't used to being under someone's orders, he has a hard time trying not to buck his hips into you.
His ego is giving him a bad pass so he tries to humilliate you with some dirty comments but at the end he is the one trying to hold back and not whimper.
Sr. Crocodile

Another one that looks difficult to be dominant with, he is just too much confident and serious.
He makes you earn it, fight with him (psychologically, of course) for the right to dominate him.
Since he is a lot bigger than you, you feel at disvantage to these type of things.
Even his attempt of being nice and help you sounded like a dominant order.
Trying to get the strings of the situation and made him be on the vulnerable side this time, you went to his office for a booty call.
He became so nervous and restless that for surely you will pull out this move everytime you want to take control.
Smoker

He is a bubbling mess.
He said that it isn't manly that you take control, then you caught him with his guard down and suddently he is whining and suplicating you to continue.
He turns into the most subby - miserable - moaning/whimpering men ever.
And you are more than ready to indulge him in that.
If you stop moving, he would surely pray for you to start moving, grabbing your legs and trying to gain some power over you.
You discovered a new world to him, even though he doesnt wanna admit it, you made him go crazy and he is going to indulge in this more often.
Akagami Shanks

Really easy to convince him.
But he is really playfull so he can pull a rolling movement mid-fuck where he puts you on top or he gets back to top.
You have to be prepared when you are riding him just so you can stop him from rolling you both to change positions.
He really loves having you on top and restraining him, giving him orders of where he can touch and where he can't.
He just lives to see your tits bouncing next to his mouth and be able to feel all you weight on top of him.
He gets so loud that you have to cover his mouth with your hands or a rag cause he becomes a moaning mess.

If it's not too much to ask but could you please do a story of only one of the Monster trio like Luffy or Zoro or Sanji? (Or the whole straw hat crew) with a reader whose birthday it is on the same day as a holiday like valentine's day (even though we've already went past it, or it could be any other holiday that you think?) But only her best friend (one of the crew members) remembers her birthday and now the others feel bad, so they decide to throw an "apology birthday party" to make up for it?
Apology Birthday Party
zoro x strawhat!reader
a/n: I hope this is what you wantedddd, let me know if you want it different tho (ăĽďżŁ 3 ̄)ăĽ
words count: 1.3k
tags: sfw, romance, soft zoro, nico robin bff
masterlist || ko-fi
The Sunny is draped in pink and red decorations, hearts scattered across the deck like confetti. Sanji is running around serving chocolates and heart-shaped treats, Nami is counting stacks of berries won from lovestruck islanders, and Luffy is eating whatever he can get his hands on.
Itâs Valentineâs Day. And itâs also your birthday.
But no one seems to remember that last part.
You donât say anything, of course. Itâs not like you expect them to throw a big celebration or anything, but a simple âHappy Birthdayâ would have been nice. Yet, with everyone wrapped up in the holiday of love, your special day is completely overlooked.
Well, almost everyone.
âHereâ Robin says, appearing beside you with a small, neatly wrapped box in her hands. She smiles, that knowing glint in her eyes as she hands it over âHappy Birthday.â
Your heart warms âRobinâŚâ
âI know how it feels to be forgottenâ she says gently âBut youâre not.â
You unwrap the gift to find a delicate bookmark pressed with dried blue forget-me-not flowers. Itâs beautiful. And, fitting.
Before you can properly thank her, a loud, boisterous laugh fills the air âOi, Robin, whatâs that? Love letter for y/n?â Luffy grins, oblivious as ever. That, of course, draws the attention of the rest of the crew. Sanji practically skids over, hearts in his eyes.
âA love letter?! From who?! Iâll destroy themââ
Robin sighs, sipping her wine âItâs her birthday present.â
Silence.
Utter, dead silence.
The entire crew stares at you, then at Robin, then back at you again. The color drains from Sanjiâs face. Frankyâs jaw quite literally drops. Usopp nearly chokes on his own spit. Namiâs eyes widen, and Chopper gasps in horror. Even Luffy, who usually doesnât have a care in the world, looks like someone just told him thereâs no more meat on the ship.
But the worst reaction? Zoroâs.
His eye snap to yours, and you see something flicker behind them, something that looks suspiciously like guilt.
âWait,â Usopp wheezes, gripping his head like it physically hurts âTodayâs your birthday? Like, right now?â
ââŚYeah.â
A chorus of expletives follows.
âWeâre horrible!â Chopper wails, flopping dramatically onto the deck.
âHow could I forget such an important day?!â Sanji cries, dropping to his knees like heâs been personally betrayed.
Robin chuckles into her drink âAt least you all realized it before the day ended.â
That kicks everyone into action. Nami immediately starts planning an emergency âApology Birthday Partyâ barking orders while Franky dashes off to set up decorations. Luffy insists on getting you the biggest cake possible, while Sanji declares he will cook a full birthday feast worthy of redemption. Usopp starts crafting a birthday gift at lightning speed, while Chopper is still crying about how bad of a friend he is.
In the middle of all the chaos, you catch Zoro watching you. His arms are crossed, his expression unreadable, but thereâs tension in his stance. And then, without a word, he turns and disappears below deck.
You donât see him for the next hour.
By the time he returns, the impromptu party is already in full swing. The crew has somehow managed to pull together a spectacular celebration, with streamers, food, and a birthday banner that is only slightly lopsided. Youâre seated at the center, laughing as Luffy shoves an unreasonable amount of cake into his mouth.
Then Zoro drops something onto the table in front of you.
You blink. Itâs a small box, wrapped haphazardly, almost like he struggled with it. When you glance up at him, his face is turned away, slightly pink at the tips of his ears.
âTch. Donât make a big deal out of itâ he mutters, arms crossed.
Curious, you open it and your breath catches.
Itâs a charm. A small, silver sword pendant attached to a simple chain. The craftsmanship is rough, but undeniably his.
ââŚDid you make this?â
Zoro shrugs, still not looking at you âHad some spare materials lying around.â
Your fingers curl around the charm, warmth blooming in your chest âI love it.â
ââŚGood.â His voice is gruff, but you catch the corner of his lips twitching, just slightly.
The rest of the crew watches with barely concealed interest âOi, oi, does this mean Zoro is getting all romantic now?â Usopp teases, wiggling his eyebrows.
Zoro immediately glares, hand twitching toward his swords âSay that again and you wonât live to see tomorrow.â
The laughter that follows is the best sound youâve heard all day.
Maybe your birthday started off forgotten, but as you sit among your chaotic, wonderful crew, a handmade gift resting in your palm, you canât help but think this turned out to be the best one yet.
The party goes on for hours. Sanji serves an extravagant feast, each dish crafted with your favorites in mind. Luffy challenges you to an eating contest, one you gracefully decline, knowing itâs a lost cause. Nami surprises you with a beautiful set of earrings, and Usopp proudly presents a handcrafted figurine of you in an exaggerated heroic pose.
Franky insists on a dance party, much to your amusement, and even Robin joins in. Chopper, still sniffling, clings to you, vowing to never forget your birthday again.
Through it all, Zoro remains close, never one for loud festivities, but always within reach. Eventually, when the night winds down, you find him on the shipâs upper deck, gazing at the stars.
âThanks for the necklaceâ you say, leaning beside him.
He grunts, but doesnât move away âYeah.â
A comfortable silence settles between you. The ocean breeze is cool, but standing next to him, you feel warm.
After a moment, he exhales ââŚSorry for forgetting.â
You glance at him, surprised by the quiet sincerity in his tone. Smiling, you shake your head âYou made up for it.â
He finally looks at you then, and in the soft moonlight, his expression is softer than usual âGood.â
Zoro stays silent for a while, avoiding your gaze, and then adds, "Actually... I had prepared it for Valentine's Day."
For a moment, you remain impassive, smiling at the sea in front of you, but then your brain connects what he said.
You suddenly turn to him and gasp, "Wait, wh...what do you mean?"
He continues to avoid your gaze, trying to look indifferent, but the redness in his ears betrays him "I admit I forgot your birthday, but I didnât forget Valentine's Day" he says.
You, even more flustered, reply "So itâs true what Luffy told me earlier, that you worked on the necklace for more than a week??"
Zoro shifts uncomfortably, scratching the back of his neck. He looks away, clearly embarrassed but trying to act nonchalant "I... I just wanted it to be perfect" he mutters, his voice barely above a whisper.
You blink, still processing the confession. Itâs hard to believe this is the same person who usually brushes off any sort of emotional display "Zoro," you start, your voice soft, "You really made all of that... for me?"
He finally looks at you, and for the first time, his usual tough exterior seems to crack. His eyes are slightly hesitant, but there's a genuine warmth there, almost like heâs afraid of your reaction "Yeah, I did. Itâs... not much, but I thought youâd like it."
You take a deep breath, your heart racing as everything sinks in. You canât help but smile "I love it," you say, stepping a little closer "And I... I love that you cared enough to do this."
Zoro looks almost startled by your words, his cheeks turning a deeper shade of red. He clears his throat awkwardly "Well, donât go getting any ideas... It's not like Iâm suddenly a romantic or something."
You laugh, the sound light and genuine "I never said you were. But this is pretty damn romantic, Zoro."
He grumbles but there's a soft smile tugging at the corners of his mouth "Donât get used to it."
You both stand there for a moment, the sound of the waves crashing against the shore filling the space between you. Itâs not the most conventional confession, but somehow, in that moment, it feels just right.
And just like that, your birthday, and even Valentine's day, is perfect.

A CANDLE LIGHT | Sanji Vinsmoke

synopsis: All it takes is a meal.
content: Fluff.
What if you die?
The thought lingered in your mind, a whisper between the haze of reality and the suffocating weight of unconsciousness. You had seen it beforeâlimbs still, eyes unseeing, bodies scattered across the cobblestone, just like Aeon where despair seeps into the once fruitful soil. It comes back to you in flashes. When Aeon no longer bloomed wildflowers, golden plains had turned gray. What once swayed in the wind as petals became crumbled ash.
Your lungs burned.
A crushing force coiled around your throat, squeezing tighter with every desperate gasp. Your feet barely touched the ground, boots scraping uselessly against the cobblestone street as you struggled. Smoke curled through the air, thick and acrid, curling into your lungs with every attempt at breath. The embers of a cigar glowed in the darkness, flaring with each slow, measured inhale.
You knew that scent.
The Marine that stood before you, unmoving, a wall of authority and indifference. His grip remained steady, as though strangling the life from you required no effort at all. His face was unreadable, but the ember between his teeth cast fleeting shadows across his jaw, highlighting the deep-set lines of a man long accustomed to watching life fade from the eyes of others.
You clawed at his arm, fingers scrabbling for purchase, but her nails passed through as if grasping at mist. Her attacks did nothing. Logia. Untouchable. The realization settled like a stone in your chest, weighing down what little fight remained. The unfairness of it seared through her mind, but there was no room for anger. Only the raw, instinctive need to breathe.
Your vision blurred. The edges of the world bled into one another, gold and gray and red. Your body sagged in his grip, your strength unraveling with every second that passed without air.
Then, the world dropped away. The Marineâs grip vanished. The cobblestone beneath her feet was gone. The smoke, the fire, the weight on her throatâall of it disappeared in an instant. The world around her became something else entirely.
Water.
It rushed in, swallowing her whole. It filled your nose, your throat, your lungs, burning as though flames had followed her even here. She thrashed, arms reaching for somethingâanythingâbut the surface was too far above, and the weight of her exhaustion dragged her deeper into the abyss.
Your vision darkened, and in that moment, the nightmare returned again. The sky over Aeon had once been bright. The sun had bathed the fields in golden light, and the scent of spring had carried on the breeze.
The nightmare of nights where everything can change in a second. Angry flames that licked at the heavens, staining the clouds in deep, smoldering hues of red and black. Smoke rose in thick plumes, swallowing the skyline, twisting and curling as it reached for something unseen.
The ground beneath your feet trembled, split apart by the molten rivers that bled through the cracks in the earth. Heat pressed against her skin, unbearable and suffocating, turning breathing into an agonizing task.
You stood at the riverâs edge, a canoe rocking unsteadily against the violent current. The air smelled of burning wood and scorched flesh. Her peopleâher homeâwere burning.
You turned.
Your mother stood on the shore, arms outstretched. Flames engulfed her, wrapping around her limbs, her face, her hair. Her lips moved, shaping words that could not be heard over the roar of destruction.
The moment stretched into eternity. Then, the fire swallowed her whole.
A gasp tore through your throat as you woke. Your body lurched forward, air flooding your lungs in desperate, ragged breaths. The scent of charred earth still lingered in your senses, but it was fainter now, overtaken by something else. Salt. Damp wood. The slow, rhythmic creaking of a ship rocking with the current.
You were alive.
The realization hit you all at once, sending a shudder through her aching limbs. The wooden beams above her head swayed slightly in the dim lantern light. A ship. Somewhere beyond the closed door, voices murmured in hushed tones, their words too distant to make out. You swallowed hard, your throat raw. Your fingers curled into the thin, scratchy blanket draped over your body.Â
You blink, your breath still uneven. There is no golden sun, no smoldering red sky. Only the deep, suffocating black of night. The lantern overhead flickers weakly, casting trembling shadows against the wooden beams of the cabin. A cold breeze slips through the cracks in the walls, chilling the dampness on your skin.
The realization settles in your bones. It's Night.
How long have you been unconscious? Hours? A full day? The last thing you remember is fireâbeing thrown into the sea. But now, all that surrounds you is the quiet hush of the sea. You Looked around the room. It was dimly lit, the scent of sterile coming into play with your smell.Â
A sudden creak of the floorboards outside the cabin sends a jolt through you. The voices grow closer. Heavy footsteps stop just beyond the door. Your heart picked up speed but it was too late to find anything to fend yourself with.
Your heartbeat pounds in your ears as the door handle shifts. The worn wood groans as it swings open, revealing a figure silhouetted against the dim lantern light from the corridor beyond.
A man steps inside. He is tall, broad-shouldered, moving with an easy confidence that speaks of someone who knows exactly where he stands in the world. The scent of salt and cologne clings to him, mingling with something elseâsomething warm, almost comforting, but unplaceable. In the dim light, you catch the gleam of a weapon strapped to his side, though he makes no move toward it.
"Youâre awake," he says, voice smooth, almost lazy, yet laced with something sharper beneath. He takes another step forward, his polished leather shoes thudding softly against the wooden planks. "Thatâs goodâ
Your fingers twitch against the blanket, resisting the instinct to shrink away. Every muscle in your body is tight, coiled, but you force yourself to meet his gaze but you can't see a thing. You donât know where you are nor who he is.Â
The man tilts his head slightly, the soft glow of the lantern casting flickering shadows across his face. He glances at you. Calculating. As if heâs taking in every detail, filing it away.
"But who do I have the pleasure of fishing out of the sea?" he asks, casually, but thereâs a weight behind the question. You hesitate. Your throat is dry, raw from the near strangulation, but you manage to rasp out, "Where am I?"
That earns you a low chuckle. "Straight to the point, huh?" He places the tray onto the small table by the bed, on it the light reveals a glass and jug. "To put simply, youâre on the Strawhats Ship."
The words are like a jolt of ice water, cutting through the fog in your brain.Â
Strawhat Pirates.
The headache spikes, sharper now, like shards of glass digging into your skull. The room tilts again, and you gasp, clutching your head, feeling the pressure mount with each passing second.
You try to focus, but itâs like your thoughts are slipping through your fingers. You barely register the figure who steps back into the room until a cool hand is pressing gently against your shoulder.
"Hey," the voice says again, this time softer, more concerned. "Take it easy."
The blurry outline of the man is all you can make out, but thereâs something comforting in his presence. Before you can even process his words, you feel something cool and refreshing pressed against your lips. Water.
You instinctively sip, the cool liquid sliding down your throat like a balm, easing the dryness, andâif only for a momentârelieving the gnawing tension in your chest. The headache still lingers at the edges, but the water helps ground you, pulling you back from the brink of spiraling too far into panic.
Your vision clears a little as the dizziness recedes. The figure holding the water, his presence still close, doesnât move.
"Here, drink some more," he says gently, not quite demanding, but persistent, as if sensing the delicate balance youâre walking on.
Youâre too tired to fight him, too drained from everything thatâs happened. The weight of it all presses down on you, suffocating, inescapable. You sip slowly, letting the water soothe your dry throat, but it does nothing for the storm in your head.
The words wonât stop echoingâStrawhat Pirates.
Your grip tightens around the cup. âWhy⌠Why did you save me?â The question slips out before you can stop it, your voice rasping, foreign. Weak.
He doesnât answer right away. Instead, he leans back in his chair, watching you with a careful kind of patience, like heâs letting you take your time.
âYou were drowning,â he says simply, like thatâs all the reason he needs. âDidnât seem like a good way to go.â
His tone is even, matter-of-fact, but thereâs something else there too. Something softer. You force yourself to look up, and in the dim glow of the lamp, his face comes into focusâblond hair, sharp features, eyes that hold a quiet and soft. Heâs a stranger, but youâre alive because of him.
Your fingers curl around the glass, passing it to him. âThank youâŚSanji?â you murmur, voice barely above a whisper.
Sanjiâs ears perk up, and he smiles softly âyou noticed meâ he plucks the glass from your hold, placing the glass on the tray with a quiet clunk. âDoc said you took quite the fall.â
You exhale slowly. The pain in your skull has dulled to something bearable, and the steady sway of the ship beneath you is almost lulling.
âOr did you get into a fight?âÂ
âNo.â The word is out before you can stop it. Your jaw tightens. The sting behind your eyes comes fast, too fast to push down completely.
âWe donât have toââ
âNo⌠itâs fine.â You force out a small, hollow laugh, swiping at the tear that escapes before you can stop it. âI mean⌠Iâm on your ship. You should probably know what youâre dealing with.â
Sanji watches you carefully. He doesnât push, doesnât demand answers, just waits. His patience is almost unnerving. Youâve spent so long running, so long hiding, that youâve forgotten what itâs like to be given time.
You take a shaky breath. If youâre going to say it, you might as well rip the bandage off.
âIâve been running for ten years.â The words come out quieter than you expected, but they feel heavier than anything else youâve said.
Sanjiâs brows furrow slightly, but he doesnât interrupt.
You swallow, fingers tightening around the cup in your hands. âI was supposed to die. Everyone was.â
The room feels smaller now, the air pressing in on you. You force yourself to keep going before you lose the nerve.
âThere was an island,â you continue, your voice steadier now, though the weight in your chest only grows. âA place the World Government wanted erased. I donât know what reason they gave the rest of the world, but the truth is⌠they didnât want anyone to survive.â
Sanji doesnât move, but you can see itâthe subtle shift in his posture, the sharp focus in his eyes. He knows what you mean. Heâs heard stories like this before.
âI escaped,â you say, your grip tightening. âBarely. And ever since then, Iâve been running. The Marinesââ Your throat tightens. âThey donât stop hunting loose ends.â
Sanji exhales slowly, reaching up to pull the tooth pick from his mouth. He spins it between his fingers, gaze still locked on you. When he finally speaks, his voice is quieter than before.
âTen yearsâŚâ He lets the words settle. Thereâs no pity in his tone, no empty reassurances. Just quiet understanding.
You nod. âThey donât know Iâm alive. Not for sure. But if they ever figure it outâŚâ Your fingers unclench, a bitter laugh slipping past your lips. âWell. You saw what nearly happened.â
Sanji leans back, tapping the cigarette lightly against the table. âSo thatâs why you ended up in the water.â Itâs not a question.
You nod again, your throat tight.
For a moment, he just studies you, his expression unreadable. Then, with a sigh, he stands, placing the toothpick between his teeth. âWell,â he says, stretching his arms behind his head, âif the Marines ever come knocking, theyâll have to get through us first.â
Your breath catches. âSanjiââ
âYou hungry or not?â He smirks, already turning toward the door. âBecause I donât know about you, but I donât like having deep conversations on an empty stomach.â
You donât know what to say to that.
But for the first time in years, the weight on your chest feels just a little lighter.Â
Sanji doesnât wait for an answer before leaving, but you hear the soft thud of his footsteps fading down the hall. The door creaks open, then closes, leaving you alone with the echoes of your words.
You didnât expect to say any of that. Didnât expect to tell him everythingâhell, you hadnât even planned on telling anyone.
But something about his calm, steady presence makes it easier, like heâs not pressing for more than what youâre ready to give. And for once, you donât feel like youâre trapped in the same cycle of hiding and running.
You can still feel the weight of everything pressing on your chest, but it's different now. You donât have to keep everything locked away.
The sound of a pot clanging in the kitchen breaks your thoughts, followed by the rich, comforting smell of food wafting in from the next room. Your stomach growls again, a little louder this time, and you can't help the small chuckle that escapes you.
You should probably be more concerned with whatâs going to happen nextâwhat the Strawhat Pirates are going to think of your past, and if theyâll even believe you. But right now, the thought of food sounds like salvation.
Your legs feel heavy as you slowly rise, your body reminding you of the toll the past ten years have taken on you. With each step, you can almost feel the ground shifting beneath you.
You donât have time to dwell on it for long, though. By the time you reach the kitchen, Sanjiâs already busy, his back turned as he stirs something in a pot. The scent of something rich and savory fills the air, and your mouth waters.
He glances over his shoulder and flashes you a grin. âThought Iâd make you something that'll put you back on your feet. If youâre not picky.â
You smile, the first real smile youâve had in a while. âIâm not picky.â
He chuckles softly, tossing a glance at you as he stirs. âGood. Because Iâm pretty sure you need all the strength you can get.â
The teasing tone is light, but there's a genuine warmth in his words. You hesitate for just a second, then walk over to the small table in the corner, settling down into the chair.
your gaze lingering on Sanji as he moves around the kitchen. Thereâs something almost hypnotic about the way he worksâfluid, precise, like each movement is second nature to him. Heâs not just cooking; heâs orchestrating, turning what seems like a chaotic task into something rhythmic, almost graceful. The sound of the knife slicing through vegetables is sharp and steady, followed by the soft sizzle as food hits the pan. Itâs like a soundtrack to the moment, a grounding rhythm in a world that feels out of control.
You watch his hands, moving with practiced ease as he flips something in the pan, his brow furrowed in concentration. The smell intensifies, rich and savory, making your stomach growl once more.
"Youâre really good at this,â you say, your voice almost a whisper, unsure of why youâre speaking at all.
He doesnât look up at first, focused on the food in front of him, but the corner of his mouth curls up in a grin. âYears of practice,â he says casually, tossing some spices into the pan with a flourish. âCanât let the crew go hungry, after all.â
You tilt your head, watching him with a new appreciation. There's something about the way he handles the food that makes it seem like an art form. Itâs more than just preparing a mealâitâs an expression of care, something heâs perfected over time.
âI can tell,â you murmur, feeling a little lighter just watching him work.
Sanji finally glances over, his eyes meeting yours for a brief moment. He doesnât say anything, but the look in his eyes says it all. Heâs giving you space, letting you take it in, without any pressure to speak.
You realize that, despite everything, youâre not in a rush to leave. The ship might be a place of strangers, but in this small, bustling kitchen, with the gentle hum of conversation and the promise of food, it feels⌠safe.
He moves to the stove again, adding more ingredients. You canât help but notice how comfortable he is in his element, how confident and sure of what heâs doing.
For a moment, you envy him.
He catches your eye, as if he can read your thoughts. âItâs just cooking,â he says with a shrug, his grin returning. âBut everyone needs something to hold on to. This is mine.â
Something shifts in the air, and you find yourself sitting up a little straighter. You know what he means. Thereâs always something, some small thing, that keeps you going.
âLooks like youâve got it figured out,â you say, a hint of a smile tugging at your lips.
Sanji shrugs again, though thereâs a softness in his expression now. âMaybe. Or maybe I still am.â He turns back to the stove, a light laugh escaping him. âEither way, Iâll make sure you get something good to eat.â
And for the first time in what feels like forever, you let yourself relax, the sounds of the kitchen filling the space between you.
You settle back into your chair, your gaze softening as you continue watching him work. The smell of food fills the air, rich and warm, and for a brief moment, itâs almost like the rest of the world doesnât exist. Thereâs just you, Sanji, and the steady rhythm of his movements in the kitchen.
You can see the care he puts into everythingâthe way he stirs the pot, the way his hands move with such fluid confidence, the occasional hum of satisfaction when the food sizzles just right. He works like this is second nature to him, like itâs the one thing that brings him peace.
He catches you staring again, this time with a raised eyebrow and a playful smirk. âYou really like watching me cook, huh?â
Your face flushes slightly, realizing youâve been completely mesmerized by his movements. You look down quickly, but the small laugh that escapes you is genuine.
âI wasnât staring,â you protest lightly, though the smile on your face betrays you.
He laughs, a low, warm sound that seems to fill the room, before turning his attention back to the pan in front of him. âItâs fine. Iâm used to it. All the ladies on the crew love it when I cook.â
You raise an eyebrow at that, leaning forward a little. âIs that so?â
Sanji grins without looking up, clearly enjoying the teasing. âOh yeah. Iâm basically the best thing in this kitchen.â
You canât help but chuckle, shaking your head. âHumble, too.â
He shrugs, finally turning to face you as he sets a plate down in front of you. âYou gotta be confident in your skills. Plus, itâs all for you now.â
You blink, surprised by his directness, but before you can respond, Sanji gestures for you to dig in. âGo on, try it. I donât make promises I canât keep.â
You hesitate for a moment, but the hunger in your stomach wins out. You take the first bite, and the flavors explode in your mouth. Itâs rich, comforting, perfectly balancedâa taste of home, even though itâs far from anything familiar.
Your eyes widen in surprise. âThis is amazing.â
Sanji watches you, his expression still teasing but with a hint of pride. âTold you.â
The warmth from the food spreads through you, and for the first time in what feels like ages, you feel like youâre exactly where youâre supposed to be. No more running. No more hiding.
You take another bite, savoring it, the tension slowly easing from your shoulders.
Sanji leans against the counter, folding his arms. âNow, we focus on getting you back on your feet. Take it one day at a time.â His voice is calm, reassuring. âAnd donât worry. Weâll figure out what happens next when the time comes. Youâve got people looking out for you now.â
You swallow, a tight knot forming in your throat. The words are simple, but thereâs something in them that makes you feel a little less alone. A little less like the only person responsible for carrying the weight of the world.
âThank youâ you say quietly, the words feeling heavier than they should.
Sanji nods, his eyes softening just a little. âAnytime.â
You finish your meal in comfortable silence, the tension in your chest easing with each bite, and for once, you allow yourself to let go, if only for a little while.
You take another bite, the rich flavors swirling on your tongue, but as soon as the taste hits, something unexpected pulls at your chest. Itâs not just the satisfaction of a good meal; itâs the warmth, the comfort, the familiarity.
The taste of the dish reminds you of something you havenât thought about in years. Your motherâs cooking.
You close your eyes for a moment, letting the memory wash over you. The scent of her dishes, filling the small kitchen with comfort after long days. The way sheâd hum softly while stirring a pot, just like Sanji does now.
A soft smile tugs at your lips, but itâs bittersweet.
Back then, you would sit at the table, listening to the clatter of utensils and the warmth of her voice, even if it was just a few quiet words. The way sheâd always make sure there was something extra, a little bit more than what you needed. Always that extra serving of food, that extra touch of care.
You hadnât realized until now how much you missed it. The sense of home, the simple joy of being cared for through something as basic as food. The smile fades as quickly as it comes, replaced by a knot in your throat. You havenât allowed yourself to think of her for a long time. Itâs been too painful, the memories of what you lost.
You blink quickly, shaking your head to push the thoughts away, but the memory lingers, hanging in the air like a delicate thread between the past and the present.Sanjiâs voice cuts through the haze of your thoughts, and when you look up, heâs watching you carefully.
âYou okay?â he asks, his tone softer than before.
You clear your throat, forcing a small, reassuring smile onto your lips. âYeah. JustâŚâ You pause, trying to gather yourself. âYour cooking... reminds me of something. My mom, actually.â
Sanji raises an eyebrow, setting the spoon down and giving you his full attention. âYour mom?â he repeats, his expression a mix of curiosity and understanding.
âYeahâŚâ You let out a soft laugh, though it doesnât quite reach your eyes. âShe used to cook for me. Always makes the house feel warm, you know?â
Sanji nods, his gaze thoughtful, as if he understands without needing you to explain further. Thereâs no pity in his eyes, just a quiet empathy.
âI get it,â he says, almost to himself. âFood can do that. Itâs more than just sustenance. Itâs like⌠a piece of home, something you can hold onto.â
You nod, your heart heavy with the weight of the memories. âExactly. I didnât realize how much I missed it until now.â
For a moment, thereâs silence between you, but itâs comfortable, like the kind of quiet you can just sink into. Sanji doesnât press you for more. He doesnât ask about your past, your lossesâhe just lets you breathe.
âFood can be like that,â he says after a while, his tone easy again, âit can bring people back, even if just for a moment.â
You smile, genuinely this time, even though your eyes sting. âYeah, it really can.â
Sanji picks up the plate from in front of you, his grin returning. âWell, I guess Iâll just have to keep feeding you then, huh? Make sure youâre feeling at home again.â
You chuckle softly, the simple gesture making your chest feel a little less tight. âI wouldnât mind that.â
As Sanji moves to clear the table, you sit back, the memories of home, of your motherâs cooking, still lingering in your mind. But this time, itâs different. Instead of pain, itâs just warmth. Something you havenât allowed yourself to feel in a long time.
And for once, you allow yourself to hold on to that feeling

Good Things Go

A/N: dearest Anna I hope you're happy now because this gave me a lot of headaches đ
, got a little longer than planned
Song Prompt Challenge
Say I hate you when I don't Push you when you get too close Only you can save me from my lack of self-control And I won't make excuses for the pain I caused us both So thank you for always standing by me even though Sometimes bad things take the place where good things go
Summary: you've been working for Crocodile for years now and became his most loyal agent though your recklessness during missions often leads to arguments, things get even more complicated when you realize you've fallen for your boss
Warnings: tension, but actually i don't know what to put here, kissing
Characters: Sir Crocodile x GnReader
Crocodile sat behind his desk, his golden hook resting casually against the edge, his cold eyes studying the papers in front of him. The air was thick with tension, as it always was when you were in the room with him.
He was erratic, not the calm, controlled demeanor you were used to seeing. He was angry, frustrated, and you knew you were at the center of it all.
You had been his loyal agent for years, weathering every storm by his side, even when he pushed you to your limits. But this time, it was different. The unspoken feelings that had lingered between you both for so long had come to the surface, and they were threatening to destroy everything.
You had seen it allâthe times he pushed you away, the cruel words that had been spat in your direction. But each time, you stood your ground, never backing down, never leaving. You had always been his, always kept your loyalty intact, no matter the cost. You had been by his side through countless missions, through moments where you both bled, fought, and schemed together.
You never backed down from a challenge, never hesitated when given an order, even if it meant risking your life. But lately, things had felt different. You had begun to notice the sharpness in Crocodile's gaze when it landed on you, the brief moments where his usually composed demeanor cracked, revealing something darker and it unsettled you.
You stood across from him arms crossed, waiting for him to scold or lecture you again. Youâd just returned from a mission, and as usual, you had some⌠differences of opinion regarding the execution of his orders.
"That wasnât the plan," Crocodile muttered, his voice low but laced with frustration. His eyes narrowed as he glanced up at you. "Youâre always improvising, always pushing my limits."
You straightened up, uncrossing your arms with a smirk playing at the corner of your lips. "It worked, didnât it?" you replied, your voice calm but with a sharp edge. "Sometimes a little improvisation is necessary, boss. You canât always follow the script."
His lips curled into a sneer, his eyes flicking over you in a way that sent an unsettling twinge of awareness through your chest.
He didnât like your unpredictability. He never had. And yet, despite the clash of personalities, you had remained his most loyal agent. You were good at what you did, and he knew it.
He had never said it aloud, but you could feel the weight of his expectation and his distaste for your constant push against his authority.
He leaned forward, his golden hook tapping rhythmically against the wood of his desk. His gaze was sharp, piercing through you as if he could see straight into your thoughts. "You think youâre untouchable, donât you?"
You didnât flinch. "I think Iâve proven that Iâm capable. Thatâs why you keep me around, boss."
His eyes darkened, and for a brief moment, there was something in them - something deeper, more dangerous. "Donât mistake my tolerance for fondness," he said, his voice low and dangerous. "I donât have room for attachments."
You raised an eyebrow, stepping forward slightly, your heart pounding in your chest. You werenât afraid of him at least, you didnât let it show. "Is that so? Because Iâm loyal to you, Crocodile. Thatâs something you canât seem to shake off, no matter how many times you try to push me away."
For a moment, the silence between you both was palpable, heavy with unspoken words. Crocodileâs jaw clenched, his fingers twitching as if to reach for something, something that would silence you.
But he didnât. Instead, he stood up slowly, towering over you with his usual imposing presence.
"Is that what you think?" he murmured, taking a step toward you. "That I want your loyalty?"
You met his gaze, unflinching. "It doesnât matter whether you want it or not. Iâm here, and I always will be."
His lip curled into a bitter smile, one that didnât quite reach his eyes. "Youâre a fool."
You werenât the type to back down. Not from anyone, especially not from him. "Iâm no fool, boss. Youâve pushed me to my limits, time and time again. But I stay because I know what we have is more than just loyalty."
His expression hardened at your words. He was silent for a long moment, his eyes never leaving yours. And just when you thought he would walk away, dismissing you as he always did, something shifted in his demeanor. His hand reached out - too quickly, too harshly - and grabbed you by the wrist, pulling you closer.
"You think I donât know what you feel?" he hissed, his voice laced with both anger and something else - something you couldnât quite place. His grip on your wrist tightened as he leaned down, his breath hot against your ear. "You think I donât know about the way you look at me when you think Iâm not paying attention? The way you linger just a little too long? The way you care too much?"
Your heart raced. He was right. You had tried to hide it, tried to bury the feelings that had grown inside you. feelings that had no place in this world you had chosen to live in. But Crocodile, for all his faults, always saw through you. His sharp mind never missed a thing, not even your most carefully guarded emotions.
"Donât," you whispered, your voice a little shakier than you intended. "Donât pretend like you donât care."
For the first time, you saw it a flash of something unreadable in his eyes. It was fleeting, but it was there: the barest hint of vulnerability, quickly masked by the cold indifference that was so characteristic for him. He let go of your wrist and took a step back.
"You think I need you, donât you?" His voice was colder than ever, as if he were trying to convince himself. "You think that because youâve stuck around, because youâve followed orders, that Iâm... attached to you."
You didnât answer him right away, letting the silence linger between you two. Your feelings were complicated, too complicated for words, but it didnât matter. You had already known, deep down, that heâd never admit to it, and maybe never would you. But you were his. And no matter how far he pushed, no matter how many times he tried to reject you, you wouldnât leave.
"I donât need your acknowledgment," you said quietly, your voice steady. "But I wonât abandon you. Not when it matters most."
Crocodileâs eyes narrowed, his lips curling into a dark smirk. "You really are a stubborn one."
You smirked back, your gaze never leaving his. "You should know by now, I donât back down. You always push me away, Crocodile. You tell me you hate me, but it's all just a shield, isn't it? You say things you donât mean, and Iâm the fool who keeps standing by you."
Crocodileâs gaze softened for just a moment, but the harshness quickly returned. He stepped closer again, his voice low and threatening. "I push you because itâs easier than admitting that youâve somehow become the one thing I canât control. I push you because I canât stand the thought of you seeing me as anything more than the monster Iâve become."
Your heart skipped a beat. You had never heard him speak like this before. Never seen this raw, vulnerable side of him. It both terrified you and made you want to reach out to him, to pull him from the darkness he was drowning in.
His golden hook glinted in the dim light, but it was his eyes that held you captive. There was a desperation in them, something that made your pulse quicken, something you hadnât expected to see.
"I say I hate you when I donât," he murmured, his voice hoarse, almost pleading. "I push you when you get too close. But the truth is⌠only you can save me from my lack of self-control. And I wonât make excuses for the pain I caused us both."
The words hung in the air like an unsung confession, and for a moment, the world seemed to stop. Everything that had been left unsaid between you both was finally spilling out, raw and unfiltered. You could see it now - the darkness that had clouded his heart, the fear of being loved, of being wanted, of being needed.
You felt a lump form in your throat, your emotions a tangled mess of longing, frustration, and something deeper
"I stayed," you whispered, your voice barely audible, but strong with the weight of your emotions. "I stayed, not because you need me, but because I need you. And maybe thatâs what hurts the most."
For a moment, the harshness between you vanished, replaced by something quieter, more fragile. "Iâve always known," he said quietly, his gaze never leaving yours
You stepped closer, closing the distance between you, your voice soft but unwavering. "Sometimes bad things take the place where good things go," you whispered, your words carrying the weight of everything you had both been through
He moved his hook closer and gently lifted your chin with it uncharacteristically careful not to hurt you. "Thank you," he said, the words strained, as though forcing them past years of hardened pride. "For always standing by me⌠even when I gave you every reason to leave."
Your breath hitched at the sincerity buried beneath the rough edges of his voice. You had never expected him out of all people to show you such a.....vulnerability.
A bitter laugh escaped your lips as he removed his hook from you. "You made it hard, you know that? Pushing me away like I was poison. Acting like I was nothing but a pawn when you damn well knew what I feel for you."
He didnât flinch at your words. Instead, he nodded, as though agreeing with every accusation you hurled.
Your fingers curled into his coat, pulling him down to meet your gaze. "Youâre an insufferable bastard, Crocodile," you murmured, your voice thick with the ache of everything you had endured. "But I stayed. Not because Iâm weak, but because I chose to. I choose youâflaws, scars, and all."
"I wonât promise Iâll change," he admitted, his voice low but steady. "Iâm still the same ruthless man whoâll destroy anything that stands in my way ."
"I donât need you to change," you whispered fiercely. "Just let me stand by you. Let me fight beside you, not against you."
You tilted your head slightly, your voice soft but challenging. "What now, boss? Going to push me away again?"
His lips quirked into a dangerous smirk, one that sent a shiver down your spine. "Not this time," he murmured, his voice low and rough. "Iâve had enough of that game."
Before you could respond, his mouth was on yours, hot, demanding, and unapologetic. The kiss was fierce, a raw clash of wills as much as it was a surrender. He tasted of smoke and danger, a combination that had always drawn you in, even when you knew better.
You matched his intensity, your hands fisting in the fabric of his coat as you pulled him closer. The years of unresolved tension ignited between you, burning away every doubt and hesitation. His hook pressed lightly against your back, the cold metal a stark reminder of just who you were tangling with - a ruthless, dangerous man who had somehow become the center of your world.
Crocodileâs free hand slid down to your waist, gripping you possessively as if staking his claim. His control, usually so unyielding, seemed to fray at the edges as he deepened the kiss, his breath ragged against your lips. You gasped when he pulled back slightly, just enough to speak, his voice full of desire.
"You drive me insane," he growled, his forehead pressing against yours. "Always have."
A breathless laugh escaped you, your heart racing. "Good. Otherwise things would be boring and you know that I don't do boring." You teased.
"You're mine," he declared, his voice rough but resolute. "And I'll destroy anyone who tries to take you from me."
A thrill shot through you at the possessiveness in his tone. But you werenât intimidated, you never had been. Instead, you met his gaze with unwavering confidence. "Damn right I am. And you're mine, you handsome bastard. Don't forget that."
His low chuckle sent a shiver down your spine. "You really are trouble," he murmured, before capturing your lips again in another searing kiss.

Nikki, Nikki... Could I ask for Izo and Killer (separately) with a gn/nb s/o who clearly has a bias towards them?
Like, some crew member gets hurt and s/o scolds them for being careless, but with Izo/Killer, s/o is like "my love, are you okay?? đĽşđ¤đťđŠš" (the fist is supposed to be a hand holding the band-aid đ)
Maybe you don't even realize that they CLEARLY have favoritism??
Headcanons pls <3
It's totally fine if you don't wanna write it!!! đ
â XOXĂ, Meli

They never really understood your behavior at times: the only thing they were sure of was that you took care of them without complaints. Ah, if only they knew they had favoritism!
Pairing: Izou x gn!reader, Killer x gn!reader [separately] Genre: fluff a/n: this is a really cute idea for a story, thanks for the request âĄ

izou
Oh, to say that he was scared at the idea of ââyou taking care of him at first was an understatement. Or rather, it would have annoyed him quite a bit, on the other hand he had heard that you had a particular way of taking care of the wounded, and saying taking care seemed like a funny way of saying that while you were taking care of them you repeatedly complained that they had to be more careful. Izo didn't want to hear any complaints.
He had once injured his arm during a battle, but Marco was already busy treating the others, so he had to go to you even though he didn't want to. You disinfected his wound, stitched it up and bandaged it, all this in silence. The only thing you said was at the end, when you gave him a pat. âHere you go" you told him.
It was a pretty calm situation, though maybe it was just because it was the first time he'd come to you, he thought. Oh, how wrong he was.
The next time the wound reopened and he had to return. That time you talked more. âYou should be more careful, you know?â you told him, and your voice sounded worried rather than annoyed. "I care about your health..." Izo started to think that the others were exaggerating and said that you were quite aggressive in your ways. How could I be, if you were nice to him?
Sometimes he would even just show up to talk, and you seemed more than happy to listen to him. Of course, he didn't pay attention to the fact that he was probably the only person in the crew who was given that treatment.
Seriously, if he finds out he has favoritism he might find an excuse to get hurt more often.

killer
He was already used to Kid and his outbursts, so when he learned that the crew's new doctor was a rather aggressive guy he didn't pay much attention to it at first. Then one day he saw you with his friend and, oh my god, you were literally scolding him for getting hurt. It was definitely worse than he thought.
The first time he came to you he had a similar if not lighter treatment, you muttered annoyed about how your companions weren't paying attention to what they were doing. Well, at least you didn't yell at him.
One time he saw you bandaging up Bubblegum and, he would say, you were literally crushing his arm. For once he felt lucky.
The second time was a quieter visit, you simply disinfected his wound and put a band-aid on him while humming under your breath. When you finished you said your goodbyes and you gave a smile. He didn't know why but he felt reassured by this gesture, maybe after all you could be kind. Then, you were the doctor, and you just wanted your companions to be well, even if you had your own ways of doing so. Well, maybe he was an exception.
Yet he doesn't pay much attention to the fact that he has a favourite, and perhaps it's for the best. If he found out, he might tell you to treat others the same way because, as he says, he doesn't like favoritism... even though he probably does it himself by giving you the plate with the biggest meal.
