Ponyboy isn't into your style at first, he isn't exactly a religious person but he knows that the devil is associated with evil and you dress in outfits that would have socs whispering about you doing satanic rituals in the bathroom at school.

Later on, he learns to like your style. He appreciates the artistry and attention to detail that goes into it, especially when the Addam's Family first aired.

Johnny likes your style but refuses to get close to you or even glance your way. He does this because his parents are ultra religious and would give him hell if he was seen hanging out with you.

Sometimes when he's feeling creative he likes to draw you in the dirt of the lot. It's not very good but he thinks he captures your essence and your long flowing black sleeves very well.

Sodapop doesn't dig your style. He's into stereotypical bleach blondes, you are quite the opposite. However he couldn't help but notice when you went from wearing all black to adding splashes of colours to your apparel.

Two Bit doesn't think much about your style. It doesn't cross his mind. He does try to stay away from you because he doesn't want any bad influences for his little sister but as soon as he gets to know you he let's go of that idea.

He definitely made you dress like the Bride of Frankenstien for Halloween and he of course was Frankenstein.

Darry tries to keep only the best people around. He's unsure of whether or not your clothes make you a "bad person" but he quickly let's go of that notion because he saw you teaching Pony somethings. TENT FLAP - The tent is just tarpaulin fabric covering a pile of stuff. The flap is open. Inside, three young men -- all in forward-looking apparel reminiscent of the sticker on the padlock -- are listening to some new form of music. It's like nothing you've ever heard. One of them looks at you.

ANDRE - "C'mon! Get in and close the flap behind you! The warm stuff is getting out!"

AUTHORITY [Easy: Success] - It's safe to assume this is their leader. Or at least he thinks he is.

"No way." [Leave.]

ANDRE - "Sorry." He points his thumb at the lieutenant. "We barely have room for one."

KIM KITSURAGI - "You go ahead, I'm too old for this..."

ESPRIT DE CORPS [Easy: Success] - I'm actually not, he thinks. I just dislike delinquents.

KIM KITSURAGI - "I'm sure you will feel right at home. I'll keep watch." He gestures for you to squeeze in.

TENT FLAP - You leave the lieutenant outside and squeeze in.

Smells like sweat and laundry detergent. Plus a trace of ether.

ANDRE - "Together with Acele Berger -- who's out there right now, doing some *seriously* progressive sonic experimentation -- we like to think of ourselves as 'music venue organizers.'"

"Wait, how many music venues have you organized?"

"Why are you here?"

ANDRE - "We have many in the pipeline, officer."

ANDRE - "You see, we've been all over Jamrock North, prospecting for real estate to establish a new venue in..."

EGG HEAD - "Also for talent!"

ANDRE - "Yes, thank you, Egg Head. And, while there is no shortage of raw, unfettered talent spinning tapes in Jamrock, we've had rotten luck with the real estate part."

NOID - "Place is a shithole."

ANDRE - "I apologize for my friend Noid's potty-mouth. *I* realize this is not how you speak to a police officer. He has authority issues."

"There's no need. The place is pretty bad."

"Next time, watch yourself."

"Was there something you wanted? Your friend Acele said there was a problem with the church."

ANDRE - "Oh, so you've met her? Good, good." He nods.

EMPATHY [Formidable: Success] - He's not as glad as he would like you to think. There is concern in his voice.

ANDRE - "Yeah -- it's a matter of occupied ecclesiastical property. I bet you've noticed the derelict hive of *narcomania* on the coast?"

VOLITION [Easy: Success] - An attempt to pander to your perceived conservative sensibilities. No person his age would ever use a word like *narcomania* with a straight face. Don't fall for it!

"Enough histrionics. What are you talking about?"

ANDRE - "I'm talking about the church. And I'm not exaggerating! Even a place of spiritual refuge can become a magnet for all sorts of *dopeheads* and *burnouts* if left unattended..."

EGG HEAD - "Dopeheads!"

NOID - "Burnouts!" He angrily spits on a screw, then starts cleaning it.

ANDRE - "Well, I'm sad to say, that's exactly what happened. Sad because we were just about to put Martinaise on the map with one of the maddest dance clubs in Jamrock -- no, strike that -- in Revachol..."

EGG HEAD - "Strike that -- the world!"

ANDRE - "And sadder yet because the dopeheads and burnouts holed up in there are *the worst* kind."

COMPOSURE [Easy: Success] - He leans back a little, watching you with a steady, serious gaze, letting you imagine just how bad those 'dopeheads' and 'burnouts' really are.

RHETORIC [Easy: Success] - Good. This calls for an *opinion*. You're an expert in those.

"I won't stand for narcomaniacs of any kind. No *narcomaniacs* on my watch." (Shake your head gravely.)

"I feel like you may be laying this on a bit thick. What's really so bad about these 'dopeheads' and 'burnouts'?"

ANDRE - "They're *spooky*."

"What exactly do you mean by *spooky*?"

"'Spookiness' is not a matter for police investigation."

ANDRE - "I was hoping you would be the judge of that, officer. All I can say is, their spookiness is the kind that keeps us from restoring this church into a community centre. And a place of spiritual refuge."

NOID - "Also, they don't heat or clean the building. Shit's gonna collapse."

EGG HEAD - "People just wanna spin tapes without them spookin' it up! Place has bad sines! No one can dance like that."

ANDRE - "Thank you, Egg Head..."

"So you're gonna look into it, right?" He turns to you. "It *should* be a police matter -- getting them out. Whatever spooky stuff they're doing, I'm sure it's not what the Ecclesiastes meant their property for."

"I'll look into it. Tell me more." (Get the task.)

"The police have more important things to do right now, kid." (Not now.)

EMPATHY [Trivial: Success] - Andre is obviously very happy you took him seriously. The whole tent is. The boys exchange giddy looks.

"Acele told me Noid put the padlock on the door. Why?"

"Who exactly are these people inside the church?"

"You mentioned some kind Ecclesiastes own the church. Who are these Ecclesiastes?"

"I wanted to ask you about this tent full of equipment."

ANDRE - "I did ask Noid to install a measure against more drifters wandering in. It's a temporary fix. Just something to contain the situation."

NOID - "I had to do it in a hurry. Not my best work... But it should hold for a while."

"How long have those people been locked in there?"

"Right. Other questions." (Conclude.)

ANDRE - "Of course. Noid, give the officer the key."

NOID - "Alright." The speedfreak dips into his belt pack and produces a yellow key. He then makes a sudden, cool-infused move, tossing it in your general direction.

Fast fashion is out, Slow fashion is in!

The detrimental effects of the fast fashion business on the environment and society have come to public attention in recent years due to social media. Fast fashion is the activity of mass producing inexpensive, trend-driven apparel that encourages consumers to buy more in a short time span and soon discard it due to the garment going out of style or because of its poor condition after a few washes. As a result, there is now a culture of wasteful fashion consumption, which is terrible for the environment. One of the biggest fast fashion companies of our time, SHEIN, reported an eye-dropping revenue of USD 22.7 billion in just 2022 (KrAsia 2023). This can be due to the influence of microcelebrities and how quickly people jump on to new trends without thinking about where their products are coming from. As consumers are becoming more aware of the origins of their products, companies are also starting to implement more sustainable and eco-friendly fashion to their businesses. Some companies that are working towards a more sustainable fashion industry include Monki, H&M and Levi’s. I believe many people have already explained what slow and fast fashion is, so I will be sharing some ways to minimise waste and to make more sustainable fashion choices!

Recently, thrifting has also become a trend! Thrifting refers to the act and process of purchasing old products from secondhand shops (Okafor 2022). However, thrifting can be done online now such as through Carousell and Facebook Marketplace. According to ThredUp’s Annual Resale Report from the previous year, thrifting is developing into a global phenomenon and is anticipated to increase by 127% by 2026 (Quick 2023). Thrifting has become popular since users on social media have started regularly posting their thrifted gems online such as TikTok and Instagram.

To be able to thrift, we need people willing to sell, or even donate old clothes, which is also a sustainable way to participate in fashion. We may not notice this issue but there are a lot of people that do not have access to basic necessities such as clean clothes, running water and food, the things that most of us take for granted all the time. Donating clothes to the needy and those living in poverty is not only a meaningful and kind gesture to those that need your help but it’s also good for the environment! Your old clothes or pieces that you don’t wear anymore won’t end up in landfills but will be relayed to someone that needs it more than anything.

Don’t be afraid to play around with old clothes! After a certain period of time, we may find a piece of clothing boring or not suitable for our aesthetics or taste. To spice things up, we can experiment with tie dye, bleach, embroidery and more on old pieces. If you’re handy with sewing, you can even take apart old clothes and turn them into completely new creations such as tote bags, blankets, pillow covers and more! How cool would it be to have your very own blanket made out of a bunch of old clothes?

This is more on the obvious side but buying less clothes can directly help protect the planet and those suffering due to unfair labours. Oftentimes we get the feeling that we “don’t have anything to wear” or “don’t have enough clothes” but this is far from the truth. On average, clothing is typically worn for seven times until they’re disposed of (Nizzoli 2022). In 2022, the population is buying 60% more clothes compared to 2022 (Nizzoli 2022). This results in an 18.6 million tonnes of textile waste and clothing to be thrown away globally each year (Nizzoli 2022). Whether we subconsciously think that we do not have enough clothes or are peer pressured into fitting in or catching up with trends, this can severely affect the environment as we are contributing to a large amount of waste for absolutely no reason. Before you purchase anything, think about where this product comes from and whether you really need it. If you don’t, put it back, the planet and your wallet will thank you!

Last but not least, wash your clothes correctly! I cannot stress this enough, a good pair of jeans can last you a good five years but only if you wash it properly and take care of it. Clothes come with wash instructions on the back or on the tag and it is recommended that we follow the given instructions. The best way to keep your clothes in tip-top condition is through hand washing but obviously it’s hard to do that in the 21st century due to how busy our schedules are. Some tips to take note of are to wash them less frequently (but not until the point where they stink), avoid drying clothes in the dryer as it strips the colour of your clothes faster and to avoid using hot water when cleaning.

While I understand that some people have no choice but to choose fast fashion options, it is so important that we are mindful when choosing the clothes we buy and not take it for granted. Quality over quantity is the most important tip, choose clothes and accessories that are timeless or compliment each other so they can be worn for many years to come no matter the occasion.

sunday - monday

monday is the last day off, so i feel like i need to make tomorrow count, or something. i can record tomorrow, actually, pretty exciting, idk if i will, though.

the internet being bad makes a lot of stuff hard, despite that, i've found a way to waste a lot of today, or not waste it, it was nice. i went out with my gf, just the two of us, we walked to get food, the food was good, this japanese restaurant, we just got these sandwiches/burgers (not w/ beef though , she got a shrimp burger thing, i got chicken), they were good, kind of insanely huge and we didn't have to east anything else today really. we also got milk tea. i never really like boba in mine, and my gf likes it but today didn't get any, cuz it'd upset her stomach too much. it was also nice and cloudy out today, we got some stuff from target.

i've just been kind of enjoying decompressing from all the physical stress today, of the past little bit. the moving and the job, very very hard on me, basically. but i didn't do nothing today, the walk wasn't bad but i did decide i had to scrub the floors, some, or at least a good chunk. it seems like maybe i just can't get this place clean for real. using an abrasive sponge, working in pretty small zones and soaking up what i scrub out and putting it in water immediately, nothing is working, heavy duty cleaner, nothing. it's getting better but it won't go away completely, these fake wood panels are way too porous and i think the laminate is fucked or something. i don't know what to do really, just keep trying, but it's probably basically futile.

i also kind of got some of my favorite socks dirty because i just thought, i'll try and start in the bathroom, but then i decided i needed to get more of the apartment, it was absentminded i was just focusing on cleaning, and they're dirty, these really long and nice american apparel socks my gf gave me, they were hers, she says they'll be fine when we get bleach on them and stuff, plus if that doesn't work, she says she will try and get her mom to get them drycleaned i guess. i tried to wash them. i'm pretty sad about this but it probably will be okay. even if the bleach doesn't work there's other stuff we can try, is i guess the point.

i just went and scrubbed them a little, gently, with detergent, something came out i think. i think i'm probably sort of crazy about this kind of thing but whatever, it makes me hopeful about the bleach, is what i'm thinking. anyway. the apartment. idk, it feels not sticky in the places i cleaned at least. so as long as nobody wears their shoes all over in here, we should be okay. or i guess me, since i'm the one that cares a lot, i'll be okay. i'll be okay no matter what i guess.

re: music rn, the problem song sounds really really really close, i need the right channel to be thicker sounding, but the tone is right, just needs more body for presence, left channel has something a little plastic in it, maybe the solution is lower the left channel by 1-2 db, and then raise the group they're both in by 1 db so they can both be equal + louder together, rather than graphically eqing? idk. putting these notes down for later, maybe, tomorrow i might just decide to work on the rest of the songs so this phase can be over with, and then i pick out the 'still a problem' songs, and get to work on them.

just did some listening to some tracks on the album, it's so weird how they sound when listened at low volumes, which makes me think i need to correct something but idk, it's also like, i use 2 different programs to listen back to music sometimes. vlc is weirdly quiet and ugly sounding, and mpv seems super clear and accurate. it's interesting, i did testing by uploading the current issue song to soundcloud privately and then testing if the upload sounds more like mpv or vlc, it sounds more like mpv, but it also gains a touch of clarity there or something. it has to do w/ the compression i suppose, that the site adds to music.

the same desire still stands, add more body to the right (make some shelving towards the end in the lows less aggressive? maybe just move it down out of the low mid range), and maybe cut around 1k in the left channel? and then i will drop it by 1-2db, raise the group by 1, that should be good on the guitars, snares need a tiny bit of punch, what do i do there, maybe just up the level? i'll try that tomorrow.

listening to holy molar at super low volume, they have a similar issue w/ how my stuff sounds at low volume, that record went to printing, so that's okay i suppose, it's not an issue, it's literally just got headroom, i think. i think the issue is, if anything, that my guitars don't really have headroom, but it's impossible for them to as far as i can tell, because of their nature as weird digital synths going thru weird digital distortion.

i listened to a diff recording but it's a good song, the version on the 03 ep that's compiled onto this record.

Fashion accounts for around 10% of human-caused greenhouse gas emissions, but there are methods to lessen the impact of your clothing on the environment. Then there's the question of how the apparel is carried and disposed of when the consumer no longer wants it. While other consumer items face comparable problems, what makes the fashion business so problematic is the rapid speed of change that it not only tolerates, but promotes. Consumers are pressured to acquire the latest things to keep on style with each passing season (or microseason). It's difficult to imagine all of the components that go into making a garment, but consider denim as an example. According to the UN, a single pair of jeans takes one kilogramme of cotton. Because cotton is often produced in arid settings, manufacturing one kilo takes around 7,500-10,000 litres of water. That is approximately ten years' worth of drinking water for one individual. There are techniques to make denim less resource-intensive, but in general, jeans made from cotton that is as near to its natural form as possible require less water and harmful procedures to manufacture. I was shocked and devastated when dad told us the news. He had gotten a new surveying job good for at least five years, and since there aren't a lot of career advancements for geologists he had taken the offer immediately. So we would all move to some shit town in East Tennessee. Mom would teach kids whatever hadn't been banned knowledge by the state, my little sister would continue elementary there, and I would spend my high school years in some backwater school with barely any students. I distinctly remember staring at the remainder of the mash on my plate, and how unappetizing it had turned as the news was told to me. They wanted to make all the preparations before they told us to "not worry us" in case it fell through.

I asked if I could be excused and left the table, the parents, the plate, the mash and walked to my room without waiting for a reply. Perhaps there was one. I didn't care. I just had to talk to Timothy. I just lied in bed with a headset on and talked and cursed and cried with him on the other side of our private discord chat room. They didn't know I had a boyfriend. They didn't even know I was gay, and I saw no point in telling them either. We wouldn't stay, I couldn't bring Tim with me, and given where we were heading I probably couldn't be openly gay either. It was just best if no one knew. We both knew this would be the end for us. We would be living states apart during our most hormone-filled years. If we still felt the same for each other in three years, once it was time for college, then perhaps we could try to get together, but I thought it was just cruel to keep him waiting while we grew apart. He didn't see it like that of course. He wanted to be the harbor I could sail back to after three years of exile, but I've read enough Greek mythology to know how that ends. They'd done a lot of work behind our backs, our parents, so only six weeks later, just after school closed for summer we packed our shit into the back of a semi. Our last night at the only house I've ever lived in was spent sleeping on the floor. Early next morning we packed ourselves into our car and begun our three-day journey to East Tennessee. By the time we arrived at our much bigger house and much smaller town the moving company had already placed our stuff in the different rooms. Still in boxes though, except for the furniture. I didn't go to bed until three in the morning, and probably tossed around all night unable to sleep. I must have, because mum woke me up around nine.

I went with dad to town to check it out. We of course had a long list of stuff we needed to get, but I wanted to see what stores and fast food places were around. It wasn't the local businesses that caught my eye though. Everywhere I looked I just saw smoking hot guys. Tight wrangler blue jeans, cut off shirts or flannels, and Ford or Chevy ball caps. Most of all though people had the kind of look you get from working outdoors. Tanned skin, sun-bleached hair, and lean muscles. I followed dad around all the shops on our list, hoping no one would notice my boner.

That's when I decided what I had to do: go undercover as a redneck. Two-thirds of my wardrobe had to go. I didn't know if my west coast apparel would go down as hip or attract bullying, so I spent the next week looking at guys my age and really taking note of what they were wearing. What brands? What colors? What haircuts? When I felt confident I knew the essence of the look I begged mum for new clothes, without telling her why. She relented and allowed me a few items, so I could combine them with what I already had to pass as local.

The day after, luckily after the nearest barber had made an excellent job in turning my well-styled but now far too long hair into a hair helmet, I found out that a neighbor one street away was about my age. Dylan was one year older and his summer plans had fallen apart. His best friend had to leave to visit some ill relative, so he was happy to show me around. When his friend Jackson came back a week later we all spent the rest of the summer doing things together. Swimming, basket, trekking. All things I hated doing back home and suck at, but somehow they thought it made it even funnier, and they were really proud whenever I progressed.

I couldn't believe how lucky I was when school started. Not only didn't Dylan mind driving me there, in fact he suggested it, but knowing a sophomore as a freshman basically made me bully-proof. Not that I really had to worry. We were all new to high school, and only about half of my class knew each other from before. We had people from the creeks and shitholes all around town bussed in as well. No one even suspected I wasn't from nearby until we had to introduce ourselves. Some people were excited and wanted to know more about how life was at the coast, but in the end it wasn't a big deal. It wasn't until I got home, reliving the day in my head, I realized all that time with Dylan and Jackson had turned my accent into passable enough East Tennessee local.

The school was small enough that you could basically join whatever sports team you signed up for, at least as freshman. It was more a question of what training times were compatible. I ended up joining the football and soccer teams. Somehow soccer turned out to be the more competitive out of the two, with the school soccer team doing well against other schools. I hadn't expected that.

Once it was getting close to thanksgiving Jackson asked me if I was interested in some extra cash. One of the stores needed more people for restocking and was desperate to fill it ahead of the holidays. The schedule clashed with soccer practice, but it was probably wise to stick to just one team anyway. And the 70 lbs repeated lifting requirement promised some bonus exercise that would be wasted on the soccer.

It wasn't all roses and touchdowns though. Nothing is as unguarded as the shit talk in the locker room after a loss, so I got to know what most of the guys really thought. I can think of several individuals who would beat me bloody if they knew they had been in a shower room with a gay. What I heard from some of the real employees at the store was even worse, narrow-minded exclusion politics. I wasn't even sure how Dylan would react. I decided to follow the plan, get good grades so I could get far away, and do my best to blend in. Learn to ride with Coleson, shoot AR-15 with Eric's dad, get the best body I could, and count down to leaving.

That was three years ago, before I was accepted into college. I considered bringing all the old clothes with me when coming out of the closet, but I realized they no longer fit in any sense of the word. I decided to show up at the dorm wearing the state national dress, tight wrangler blue jeans, cutoff T, and ballcap. It's good I did, because no matter how fucking hard I try I can't speak anything but rural East Tennessee. The disguise got stuck. What I didn't expect was the reception when I went to the first student gay party. The guy on bouncer duty was very hesitant to let me in, fearing I would start some homophobic shit the first chance I got, but once inside it was a different thing. Turns out quite a lot of them would fancy being fucked by a quarterback while being spoken to in southern.

Would he say he loved these people? Some of them, maybe, but not all. He can however say that all of the people he has been with were beautiful.

The thing about Atsumu is that he always dates the type of people that others expect a handsome pro-athlete to date: unrealistically gorgeous individuals that are a stereotypical kind of pretty. Most know and expect this from the infamous player.

However, most don't know that they aren't really Atsumu's type. Sure he sees their beauty in some way, and sure the ones he got to know deeper he cared for in some manner. But no one can compare to you in his eyes.

You two had shocked the world when you were his date to a red carpet event, what surprised the world more was how much love the setter had in his eyes when he looked at you. He couldn't keep his hands off of you, holding you against him the entire night. Miya made a point to tenderly kiss you when the cameras were on the two of you. The internet went crazy overnight, who was this new and unique person that's enraptured the beloved setter's heart and stolen him away??

Little did they know you weren't that new, in fact, you and Atsumu had been best friends since high school- that friendship had lasted since your first year. Although strained by the distance between you, the two of you refused to let each other go. The two of you had unspoken feelings for each other, childish crushes turned into love that the two of you were too scared to act upon which went on for years until you had finally moved to Osaka due to a new job venture.

"Ugh! How much stuff can ya possibly have?!?!" The bleach blonde setter sighed out dramatically, despite the ease he had with carrying the boxes.

You giggled at his show, "That the last few, dumbie, calm down." Your new apartment was spacious before being filled with every earthly possession you had, now the only real way threw was a rather small path because of the haphazard way the boxes and few pieces of furniture were arranged.

"How are yer even goin' ta live in here? There ain't any room ta exist in!" He huffed, setting the boxes in his grip on top of other ones by the doorway.

"Once everything is unpacked," You explained, looking around with a little bit of lostness. "There'll be enough room, you'll see." You actually had no idea where to start, maybe your best friend was right it did seem like too much. But everything did fit in your old, smaller apartment so in theory, it should fit in this one.

You were so lost in thought, that you hadn't noticed Atsumu staring at you from across the boxed-filled bedroom. His brown hooded eyes sparkled with love and attraction. There you stood in one of his MSBY t-shirts and a pair of his American apparel underwear, he lent you them earlier because he had spilled coffee all over your previous outfit and all of your clothes were still packed away in the moving truck due to just arriving.

Atsumu had never really wished to spill anything on you, but god was he glad he did. It made his chest feel so fuzzy and warm seeing you in his clothes. He couldn't help it when he said, "You look so good, I love ya so much..."

It took him a second to realize that he had said that out loud, but now that he did he couldn't take it back. He stood there wide-eyed waiting for a response, specifically to either be chastised or mocked- instead you looked up at him with such an innocent look. Your eyes were a mirror to his, mouth open in a little 'o', and all other movements were halted.

"'Tsumu?" You whispered, almost killing him.

"[y/n], 'm sorry but- ya look so good standin' there in my clothes, righ' where and in what you should be..." The strong-looking blonde took a couple steps closer, his long legs bringing him only a few feet from you. "God, bein' so far from ya was hard, but it made it so much easier to lie bout only likin' ya as a friend. But now here ya are, and I can't hide it anymore."

You couldn't hold back the sob which was sitting in your throat, tears rolling out of your eyes as you launched yourself into his beefy arms and hid the tears with his chest.

"I-I love you too," You responded, holding him as tight as you could. You couldn't see it but he too was now crying as he held you close and kissed the top of your head. "I always have."

You two were eager to go public at the red carpet event only a month later, you wanted the world to know he was taken while Atsumu Miya wanted to show you off to the world like you deserved
