Harry a Uma "Uma is you who I love, you are my girlfriend"
************************************************************************ During the celebration, Harry thinks about his feelings after Uma's rejection, when trying to kiss her while he danced with Audrey. Harry ends up getting her help on how to correctly declare himself to his army Uma
************************************************************************ After Uma's rejection when trying to kiss her, Harry is going to dance with Audrey who, seeing what had happened between him and Uma, decides to help him by giving him advice on how to win Uma's heart.
************************************************************************ It was somewhat humiliating, to say the least. Standing alone at a party full of people. There were three other people with him just two seconds ago, but such a voice may have been too excited and one of them may have thrown Lena into the fire. Harry Hook, a week before this day, had spent more than half a year without his captain, and he was a miserable boy. As next in command, he was in charge of the crew, but every time he had to think like a captain, he only thought of his captain. When they finally met, everything was fine. Normal, in fact. They had acted as if the last handful of months had never happened, that she never plunged through the barrier to urge King Ben to love her, which resulted in losing another battle against Mal and getting lost in the sea. In fact, they were closer than ever. They were no longer limited to the hook grips and the reflective moments of contact. They were hugging each other. And not like the usual hand to grab the "thank you for the training game" log. These were real hugs. The guy in which he held her against his chest while she clung to his shoulders for a brief moment in time, or the guy in which he lifted her in the air and made her turn as if she had no weight. It was new, and it was great. Maybe now things are different now, Harry thought as he danced with her. Well, not with her. She was dancing with Evie, and he was behind her, at a respectful distance, of course. However, he longed to be by her side again, to embrace her closely as he had done before. There was something new there, but I had to be sure before asking him directly. Villainous children are not the best with things like "love" or "affection". However, they knew something very similar to both: jealousy.
"¿So she's definitely not single?"
I could already feel Uma's incredulous look bored on the side of her face before her question about Mal. He almost didn't hear Evie's response. He was too busy measuring Uma's reaction from his peripheral vision. He had his attention, that was for sure, so he went on to look at Evie. Dopey's son was the first to say something, reminding Harry that he was actually her boyfriend. For a moment, Harry couldn't help but admire that title. I wish I could endure it on behalf of someone else. He felt a hard slap on his arm. Speaking of names.
"¿What's my name?"
Yep, there's the reaction that Harry was looking for, the demand for his attention. That had to count for something, didn't it? Six months ago, he would have leaned on one knee and whispered his name as if it were his last breath, but when he turned to her and realized how close they were, he didn't want to risk further separation. I also didn't want to miss another moment in the flare as I used to do. I wanted to take advantage of the moment.
"Uma"
He said simply before bowing to finally give him his first kiss. But then she dodged him. …She pushed him. …She stepped back, pushed him back and walked away, a feeling of urgency in his step as if he needed to be somewhere else, or anywhere other than near him. And now, Harry was alone. Doug and Evie had left after Uma left, leaving him in a sadly open space in the crowd. He straightened up, cleared his throat and looked around for something, anything he could do to get his mind out of that mistake. Unfortunately, he was surrounded by optimistic Auadonians, none of whom were people he knew or whom he could easily approach with a pointed hook in his hand. Until one approached him. Well, I actually dance towards him, it would be more precise. A pink blur spread towards him, and he had to extend a hand to the stranger to prevent them from being knocked both down. When he finally glimpsed her face, he realized that it was Princess Audrey, dressed in a much less terrifying outfit than the last time he saw her.
"Hi"
It was all he could gather. No cunning flirting came to my mind after being brutally and humiliatingly rejected by Uma.
"Hi"
Audrey told him in return before giving him a small bow in the greeting. Before Harry could react, she took his hand, turned him under his arm and threw him back into the dancing crowd.
"¿What are you doing?"
Harry laughed nervously, he was already looking for Uma. If she caught him dancing with another girl, it would be the end of... Well, whatever they've been doing.
"I saw you as if you needed a saving"
Audrey replied, with a good glow in her eyes. They fell into rhythm with the music, mixing with the crowd of teenagers dancing around them.
"I know I wouldn't like to be caught alone at a party as big as this, so I thought you might want a friend."
"¿Do you want to be my friend?"
Harry asked, narrowing his eyes under suspicion.
"From what I've heard, you were never too fond of vks, even before you met us, so. ..."
Audrey's little smile falteled, and her gaze fell on her feet of guilt. When he looked back at him, his expression was solemn.
"Maybe I was also hoping to make a friend"
He cleared his throat.
"Or at least, excuse me for all the problems I caused you... and thank you for saving Auradon from me."
Now Harry felt uncomfortable. I wasn't used to someone seeming so hopeful to regret it. Usually, after a comment like his, he faced an equally bitter challenge about his own gloomy past. On the other hand, this was Auradon, land of good. Maybe he also needed to adjust his attitude.
"For a princess, I'm sure you know how to cushion the mood at a party"
Harry tried to make a joke, offering an unbalanced smile to Audrey. She laughed a little at his comment and shook her head in a good mood.
"Well, at least I didn't scare my baby at a party"
Audrey told him mischievously, although the meaning of his comment fell on deaf ears.
"What about me?"
Harry arched an eyebrow.
"Your baby"
Audrey repeated, a little surprised that she didn't know what she meant.
"You know, ¿'Before anyone else'? ¿That special person?"
Harry just kept looking confused. Audrey rolled her eyes.
"Uma"
It was clarified
"I'm talking about Uma."
"Oh shit"
Harry murmured, embarrassed as he reflected on what had just happened between him and his captain
"¿Did you see it?"
Audrey nodded in affirmation. To what Harry shyly scratched the back of his neck
"Was it really that bad?"
"She literally ran to the other side of the crowd"
Audrey answered seriously.
"You tell me."
Harry sighed, once again taking a look to make sure that Uma couldn't see him. Audrey realized her anxious behavior and tried to think of a way to relieve her tension, but her situation was very… one-sided at this time.
"Hey, I'm sure he couldn't see it been worse"
Audrey told him trying to comfort him, although he might not have said it at all seriously.
"I mean, I wouldn't be very happy if my boyfriend asked about other girls, but I'm sure you have a reasonable explanation."
"¿Boyfriend?"
That word caught Harry's attention in Audrey's rambling. He shook his head vigorously.
"No, no, Uma and I are not boyfriends, I haven't really asked her..."
He took a deep breath, remembering his thoughts and organizing his words before saying them, this time with much more care.
"We are just colleagues and friends."
"¿Really?"
Audrey asked in disbelief.
"Am, Sip.…".
"Wow"
Audrey reflected out loud.
"Sorry for assuming otherwise, I thought you were boyfriends because I remember that when you were singing and dancing in the scepter, the two of you together, so I assumed it… I'm sorry."
"Yes, then. ..."
Harry said although now with sadness.
"You weren't the only one who made false illusions."
Audrey looked at him with a bewildered expression for a moment, deciphering the underlying meaning in his words. Then, he realized the longing in his eyes as he looked at the other end of the clearing, where he saw no one else and nothing but Uma, dancing with the rest of his pirate crew.
"Ooooh"
Audrey smiled at him at last understanding it.
"You are 'only friends', but you wish you two were more than just friends."
Keeping his eyes on Uma, where they were so accustomed to staying, Harry pressed his mouth on a firm line. For so long he had kept his unspoken feelings. The only person close enough to him to tell him would be Uma herself, and the idea of telling him was terrifying. Now he had the opportunity to tell someone he barely knew, and he was actually considering it.
"On the Island"
He began to say in a very sad voice
"We don't really know the 'feelings' or 'falling in love' or anything like that"
He turned with his hands, taking his eyes away from his captain in favor of the silver instrument
"But she was acting differently in Auradon, so I thought maybe we could be different."
Audrey's lips pulled a small smile. Since Hades saved his life, he had thought a lot about his opinions about the VKS, and this book of pirates with a weakness for his friend clearly demonstrated what he concluded even more: they are all people with feelings. A villain has the ability to love as much as a hero has the ability to be bad.
"Well, I've learned something in the last few days"
Audrey told him wisely.
"It's just that keeping your feelings inside you won't benefit anyone."
He looked at her in bewilderment, and she nodded in Uma's direction.
"Go talk to her."
"¿Where would it start?"
Harry wondered, feeling like a useless tool.
"Well, an apology for being an idiot could be a good start"
Audrey joked. Then he took a quick look around him.
"However, I could recommend a more private location if you want to be honest with her."
"¿And do you think that would work, Audrey?"
Harry hesitated, but again, he was raised by villains. He had no other alternative in his back pocket.
"Just a way to find out"
Audrey gave him a reassuring pat on the shoulder, effectively pushing him in the direction of the girl of his dreams.
"Thank you, Audrey"
He said with a small smile before remembering something he forgot to mention
"Oh and by the way, my name is Harry."
"¡GO!"
Audrey encouraged, now pushing Harry away. As pleasant as it was to talk to someone without status or history being a problem, he felt excited to think that he could help another person to be happy. Now she really felt like one of the heroines. Harry approached the noisy group of pirates as if nothing totally out of the ordinary had happened. He got drunk with Jonas, gave Desiree a playfully rough slap on the back and kept up with the buzzing emotion that everyone felt when they were in Auradon for the first time. He almost forgot about his personal mission until he almost entered Uma.
"Hello Uma"
He said quickly, urgently to get his attention before she shrunk him again. He crossed his arms and dropped his hip, waiting expectantly for what he was going to say. He cleared his throat, almost drowning with the foreign words
"Hey, listen to me. ... Uma, I'm sorry."
"Wow, ¿is Harry Hook apologizing to me?"
Uma gasped, squeezing a hand against her chest with an exaggerated shock. There was a clue to a smile playing on his lips, betraying his bitter tone.
"I guess Auradon's kindness works faster than we thought."
"I'm sorry"
Harry started again, maintaining eye contact with a fierce determination.
"For having been an idiot with you before."
Uma nodded, impressed by the gesture, but still hesitated to respond. She herself couldn't explain what was going on with them, but she knew as well as he did that there was something. Lost in her thoughts, she didn't notice when Harry took her hand with her free hand, in doing so both he and she felt sparks fly which made them feel a tingling in their palms still taken.
"Uma"
He said it in a low voice, throwing Uma away for a moment. I could hardly hear it because of the commotion.
"I really want to enjoy today with you and with our team."
He took a deep breath, gaining determination for the slightest softening of his expression.
"But there is definitely something we have to talk about later."
Uma took a moment to think, putting her lips together and looking at Harry up and down until she finally raised her other hand and wrapped a finger around the curve of her hook.
"Then save the conversation for later"
Uma smiled at him, somewhat blushing
"Let's enjoy the day."
Harry smiled, was relieved to have survived the encounter, and did what his captain said. They danced with their team, chatted with friends, old and new, and at the end of the party, everyone made their way under the arch of the castle in groups. Walking side by side with Uma was natural for Harry. What also felt natural for both of them was to join their arms just as they passed under the arch. It was a movement as fluid as swinging a machete, and none of them questioned it. Harry stood straighter as Uma leaned towards him, laughing all the way through the tunnel. In fact, they would have an interesting talk. The night had quickly fallen on Auradon, the day was swept away by the constant party followed by a voracious meal, and now the logistical part arrived: ¿Where were the newcomers going to stay?. Uma was working with Ben and Mal to put each villain child in a bedroom and each villain in a temporary living space. Harry understood that they needed additional help with the organization, so he left Uma to do her job. They agreed to meet later for their "chat". Meanwhile, Harry decided to walk around the school, taking the night air as he passed through the lush grass. It was hard to believe that in a few hours he would stay in one of those rooms, with air conditioning and silk sheets in abundance. It had taken a long time to arrive. A long time, but they were finally in Auradon. A flash of pink in the corner of Harry's vision caught his attention. He glanced at the stairs and saw Audrey standing on the steps, with one hand hanging freely from the railing. Thinking that he had some plenty of time, he went to her. When his steps reached Audrey's ears, she turned to him, with a friendly smile that welcomed him to his company.
"¿And what could a princess like you be doing here alone?"
Harry asked with a mocking sense of the cavalry. Even so, part of it was really curious. Audrey returned her attention to where she was: upstairs. Harry followed his eyes and discovered that he was looking at the highest tower of Auradon Prep, where he was standing only a few nights before, when he was still looking for revenge. Harry realized that this was a tense moment for her, since the silence lasted longer than she expected. Finally, Audrey sighed deeply.
"I liked to feel powerful"
He admitted, with a guilty edge that got into his tone.
"In fact, I enjoyed the idea of destroying Auradon if that meant that he could be the Queen, but..."
He crawled, biting his lip against a wave of sadness.
"... I never felt uglier in my life."
Harry took off an eyebrow in question, but he didn't say anything. This personal confession was without realizing it, and he knew that it was better than packing in the past luggage of a vulnerable woman (speaking from experience, of course). She was only telling him what she was ready to do, and he was fine being that friendly ear. That friend, in fact.
"All my life, I thought that being a princess and having status was what made me beautiful"
He continued, looking down at his hands.
"But I never realized that it was really horrible on the inside."
Now, Harry was a little lost. He didn't know her so well, so he didn't know she had a history of being a little obsessed with her real status. As much as he knew, she tried to take revenge on Auradon, and that's her whole story. He can't blame her. He supported Uma in the same effort.
"Well, I don't know anything about that, what he sighs"
Harry, trying to sound sincere. He climbed a step so he could put a reassuring hand on his arm.
"But from what I've seen today, I'd say you have some beauty to spare."
Audrey gave him a grateful smile. She was lucky to have danced with him. She had to admit that he was handsome and attractive, but she could say from a mile away that her heart is with another person. She wouldn't want to get in the way of people in love. She knew how she felt. Audrey put a hand on Harry's, a silent thank you to her new friend. Their comfortable moment stopped abruptly when they heard someone else clear their throat.
"¿Am I interrupting something?"
Harry turned, moving his arm away from Audrey, and found Uma standing behind him, with her arms crossed with a glow of disapproval stuck on his face. His apparent agitation went unnoticed by Harry, since he was only excited to see her.
"Hey, Uma"
He greeted her with an enthusiastic wave of his hook. He took a deep breath and deliberately relaxed his shoulders to have control despite the multiple butterflies in his stomach.
"¿Ready for that talk?"
"Saving your stupid talk, Harry"
Uma deviated, her low and monotonous tone. Harry's smile fell when he saw his hurt look he was looking at them between him and Audrey
"I've had enough of you for a day."
Uma turned around and began to get out of the clearing. Harry was frozen in his place, unable to make a move or even say a word. What has changed? He wondered, putting the scene back in his head. Even in the darkness of the night, he was able to clearly remember a touch of emotion in his expression.…¿Pain?.…He looked at Audrey, the panic was as evident in her face as in her bowels.
"I... I'm really sorry, Audrey"
He apologized quickly.
"I need to run away and solve all this."
"¿What are you still doing here then?"
Audrey asked rhetorically, pushing him with her hands.
"¡ANDALE, GO LOOK FOR HER NOW, HARRY!"
With a kind nod to the princess, Harry turned his heel and screwed himself in the direction in which Uma was heading. He clearly hurried to get out of there quickly because Harry felt that he had run a marathon when he found Uma approaching the edge of the Royal Garden.
"¡UMA!"
She ignored his calls, accelerating the pace in an attempt to evade him or at least convey that she didn't want to talk.
"¡UMA!"
"Leave me alone, Harry"
Uma snarled when he finally caught up with her. Harry ran in front of her to block her route, and the first thing he tried to do was walk around her. He eluded himself, keeping her in front of him. He held his arms in an extra measure to stop her and as the first line of defense.
"Uma, please"
Harry begged her without defering from her.
"Just listen to me."
"You just can't help it, ¿can you?"
Uma rebuked in an accusatory.
"You just have to go for anything with a pulse, as if that kind of thing doesn't mean anything."
"I swear it wasn't what you thought"
Harry explained to him desperately.
"Audrey and I were just talking."
"Yes of couse"
Uma nodded, but kept an advantage in her voice.
"You and Audrey were talking, but ¿what if we asked about Mal and Evie before, eh?"
Harry could no longer find his eye, unable to deny what he did.
"¿And what is this that I'm hearing about Jane?"
Harry clenched his fists, forcing himself to regain eye contact. Despite the ferocity of his radiance, he kept it with determination.
"Uma, it's not what you think"
Harry repeated to him without moving from where he was still standing in front of him.
"Just shut up Harry, please."
Uma admitted with a defeated shrug of shoulders. He bit his lip and suddenly took on a softer tone.
"I honestly thought that things were different between us for a minute, and that's up to me."
"¿Different?"
Harry repeated. ¿So she also feels the same way about him?
"But the fact is that I left for a while"
Uma pointed out, and Harry caught a glimpse of what he saw before. It was definitely a pain of some kind.
"And now I see that you clearly have better things to do than hanging out with me."
Harry furrowed his forehead, confused about how Uma could even consider that as a possibility. However, before she could object, Uma raised her hands in surrender and slapped with a bitter smile.
"¿You know what? Have fun with that."
She took a quick step around her, but Harry quickly caught her arm.
"Uma"
He said his name with as much sincerity and respect as he could gather. He stopped walking, but still refused to face him. Even so, he continued with his please
"Please, let me explain it to you."
Uma reluctantly turned around, still without looking at him directly, and shrugged indifferently. Harry nodded to a stone bench in the garden. He let go of his arm in favor of taking her hand and guided her. They both sat down, Harry never let go of his hand.
There was a rhythm of silence, only stained by the low buzzing of the crickets and electric lamps around the garden. Harry finally broke the silence between them.
"I also realized that something was..."
He turned his brain around trying to find the right word.
"... changing between us, but I was too afraid to ask."
He leaned forward, trying to get her attention, but she kept her gaze fixed on the cobbled road. He settled for rubbing small circles on the back of his hand with his thumb. He broke a smile.
"I'm not silly, Uma"
Harry laughed half-heartedly
"I know that Mal is going to get married, and Evie was clearly involved with that green guy."
"Then ¿why did you ask about them?"
Uma responded, keeping her voice down so as not to betray any emotion.
Harry shrugged his shoulders shyly.
"I wanted to see how you would react"
His answer was honest, but he made Uma narrow his eyes. I knew it sounded bad despite his intentions.
"I was thinking that maybe if you saw me interested in other people, your reaction could give me a clue as to how you feel about me."
Uma didn't respond immediately. She was digesting her confession slowly, trying to decide on a proper reaction. Should I be angry or... ¿halaid?
"¿And what about Jane?"
She deviated, finally looking at him.
"Actually, I just wanted to scare the party"
Harry laughed.
"We may be in Auradon now, but I'm still a little scared."
To Harry's surprise, his joke managed to make Uma laugh. It was brief, but it was something.
"But that's irrelevant right now"
Harry proceeded once his shared fun was extinguished. He gave him a gentle squeeze in the hand to emphasize his sincerity
"Right now, I'm telling you that I'm sorry for playing like this."
His eyes were thrown between his own, in search of a crack in his determination, but all he saw was the sincere will of his first companion. The corner of his mouth became entched with a small smile.
"You've been in Auradon for too long."
"You've been here longer than me"
Harry pointed out to him.
"Fry enough"
Uma laughed, and Harry enjoyed seeing her smile. She sighed deeply, something heavy in her mind.
"And I guess I also owe you an apology."
Harry raised an eyebrow at the statement, unable to think of anything he had to regret.
"To always run away instead of just talking about things with you"
He continued, shaking his head at his own ridiculous antics.
"I'm getting so…"
He crawled, wrinkling his nose and grinding his teeth as he tried to find the right word.
"…Angry when you talk to people like that."
Harry bowed his head, looking at her with a strange feeling in his gut. The wasps in his stomach were gone, but there was something else there. Something light. Something I had been feeling all week, but I hadn't recognized it until that day.
"Well, if that calms you down"
Harry offered him, releasing his hook to take his other hand and place them both on his knees, which were pressed against each other.
"I promise not to flirt with everyone I see."
Uma snorted and rolled her eyes. The promise was stupid, but I couldn't deny the pleasure it brought him to listen to her.
"That would make me feel better"
He admitted when a mischievous smile took its place on his lips. His voice took on a mocking tone.
"Although, if you don't, ¿how the hell is the great Harry Hook going to have a date again?"
Harry gave him an unbalanced smile.
"I have some ideas."
He leaned forward, much slower this time to measure his approval. She didn't move backwards, or to the side, or even forwards. She stood still and waited. Even when he approached, nothing changed. His eyebrows rose with expectation, as if he were still waiting for him to explain his "idea." Until, finally, her lips connected with hers. He ignited a shock through Harry's body, only making that light feel more prominent, as if it were flying. It wasn't like kissing a sleeping princess. She was kissing him, returning the slightest pressure. When he finally retired, looking at his beautiful face with nervous astonishment, he was happy to find his once pedregina expression that melts into one of happiness. He couldn't hide the smallest laugh as he shook his head.
"That could work"
He smiled, biting his lip. She approached him so she could rest her head on his shoulder, and Harry let go of one of his hands to wrap an arm over his shoulders. He put his chin on his head and kept her close, repeating his moment again and again in his mind with emotion and hope for his future. Over Uma's head, Harry noticed a whisper in the bushes. Uma didn't seem to hear it, but Harry narrowed his eyes on the mountain. It wasn't until he saw a mixture of blond, pink and blue hair coming out of the bush that he relaxed. Audrey gave him a thumbs up and a proud smile, and he winked in return. I was as excited to have her as a friend as I was to have Uma as his.

| MASTERLIST |
For the past week and a half Bella sneaks over to the Isle to hangout with Gil and Harry getting to know them and they all got close pretty fast. At the moment she was getting ready to head off again but Mal was standing outside her room.
"Nope, you aren't allowed to go over there anymore. Ben, your parents, and I all agreed."
"Excuse me?" Bella laugh, "You four can't do that."
"But we did and we told others to make sure you don't. It's for your own good. I've heard some stuff from some people who still hate us. They hate how you're making yourself at home over there." Mal lies to her because she knew why she was sneaking over there deep down just like Ben did.
"You guys are ridiculous." Bella walks past her to go to the library instead.
Mal makes her way to Ben's room, "I stop Bella from going to the Isle. I told her it's off limits for her now. I made up some lie to say it's dangerous for her."
"Great, it's I just don't want her getting close with Harry. And you said yourself."
"There's many reasons I don't want that to happen and I know how he is so. Plus he's Uma's first mate and Uma spelled you and they kidnapped you." Mal huffs taking a seat.
"I know, I know." He kisses her cheek.
In the library, Bella kept complaining out loud since no one was hardly ever in there except for this time it was Audrey, "Can you please stop complaining?"
"Me? You're still butt hurt Ben chose Mal over you. Get over it you have Chad, who is in love with you." Bella goes to a different aisle.
"You're just as bad for being okay with it. Didn't tell him how wrong it was." Audrey follows her.
"Because I didn't and still don't care for you. You've never been nice to me once since meeting me. And while dating Ben, you were still snobby with me." Bella turns to face her, "So that's why I was happy when Ben got with Mal." Bella smiles leaving going off to the woods just to get away.
Hours pass and Mal and Ben start to get worried about not seeing Bella around. They asked everyone ans no one had any idea where she went. "Evie, do you think she went to the Isle?" Mal asks her.
"Nope, she usually lets me know first."
"So you knew she's alway sneaking off over there?" Mal crosses her arms.
"To go hangout with Dizzy, yes. She goes to over there to help her out with what to expect here and other things. Do you thinks she goes over there for wild adventures?" Evie slightly lies for Bella.
"That's why she goes over there? For Dizzy?"
"Yes, Mal." Evie laughs, "She always comes back to tell me what they did the whole day."
"Oh, so where the heck is she right now?" Mal huffs as Bella walks through Evie's door. "There you are! Where have you been?"
"Out in the woods to read and get away from everyone. Mostly you, Ben, and then Audrey." Bella tells her, "You guys banned me from the Isle and she bugs me about you and Ben. So sorry I wanted some peace." Bella walks past going to the kitchen.
"Give her some space, Mal." Evie pats her back so Mal leaves.
"I can't believe they banned me from the Isle. I promised Dizzy she could do my hair tomorrow and now I can't let her know why I'm not showing up." Bella slams her hands down in the counter.
"Just breathe, B." Evie walks over to rub her shoulders, "Dizzy will understand and the boys probably will too. Also don't worry, I lied saying you only see Dizzy over there. I got your back still." Evie smiles resting her head on Bella's shoulders.
"Have I told you how amazing you are?" Bella makes her laugh.
"Yes, but you can say it again."
"You're amazing, Evie." Bella laughs.
-
Weeks have passed and today was the arrival of the new four VK's coming over. Also Ben was planning to propose to Mal which Bella was happy to have her a sister in law instead. For the proposal, the important people gather around Doug as he played the guy while Ben sang to Mal before getting down on his knee.
"Mal, it's you and me forever. Will you marry me? Will you be my Queen?"
"No!" Audrey shouts making Bella look at her disgusted with her while Mal says yes making everyone cheer.
"Someday, you'll meet your true love." Adam places his hands on Bella's shoulders. "It takes time. Trust me, I know." He tells her.
"I'm fine alone, dad but I know." Bella laughs. When Ben comes down and so dose Mal, Bella goes over to the girls, "Hey, sister." Bella hugs Mal.
"Did you know too?"
"Of course I did." Bella laughs.
"I get another daughter!" Belle hugs Mal.
"I finally get a sister. I think I win." Bella gives Ben a playful dirty look so he hugs her.
"You love me, sis." He makes her laugh till she sees Audrey talking to Mal.
She gets out of his hug going over to them, "You spelled Ben to destroy all of Auradon. Touching story for the grandkids."
"Hate to break it to you, but the moment they arrived Ben had a thing for Mal. It was obvious the way he looked at her. And o could tell because I know my brother well. And after the spell washed away in the enchanted lake he still liked her." Bella glares at Audrey, "As I said, get over it."
"Okay. Let's do this!" Ben shouts out.
"Speaking of kids, we have some kids waiting on us. So... if you'll excuse me. Bee, you can come too. Dizzy would like that." Mal tells her so they leave Audrey. "Thank you for that." Mal adds.
"It's true. Plus I got my sister's back." Bella makes Mal smile as they all get in the limo.
Getting to the Isle to pick up the kids, Dizzy was excited to see Bella again. Leaving though Hades gets halfway through the barrier and Mal turns into a dragon to fight him back. Bella knew there was something since she could tell Mal wasn't putting her all into hurting him.
When they get back home Bella grabs Mal's arm stopping her to talk, "That was your father wasn't it? Mal, you went easy on him. And I know that Amber doesn't drain powers. I read."
Mal pulls her closer, "Only Evie knows and now you do so could you please keep it a secret too?" Mal begs her.
"I mean, yeah. But why not tell Ben?" Bella asks her.
"Because it's Hades and for one he wasn't around much so I'm not close to him." Mal adds.
"I won't tell him." Bella lets her know.
Belle, Adam, Fairy godmother, Ben, Bella and Mal end up getting together for a meeting about Hades because people are in a panic and scared about the risk of another villain out.
"Every time we open the barrier, we're exposed to danger. Maleficent, Uma, Hades." Adam tells the group while Ben gets a notice Maleficent scepter and the queen's crown was stolen.
"Uma." Adam says.
"We don't know that, Dad." Bella tells him, "That wasn't needed for her goal. All she wanted was for other kids to come over for a better life. Did she go the right wat, no. But still."
"When the people hear this, they will never wanna leave their houses. What do we tell them? Mal? What do we do? How do we keep the evil out of Auradon?" Belle speaks up.
Everyone looks at Mal, "I think the there's only... one way to guarantee their safety. And I think that there... can't be anymore going in and out. I think we have to close the barrier... forever." Mal says.
"No, that's bull. You promised those kids they could go see their families. And that means Evie, Carlos, and Jay can't see their parents either. You think just villains are evil? There are plenty of people here that could be evil if they have a good enough reason. Example your ex. I know my vote doesn't mean anything but no." Bella leaves mad about the situation.
When Bella goes over to Evie's place later, she hears Mal talking to Evie about the situation going on and hearing from Evie's words Mal didn't tell her it was her idea.
While Mal walks out she bumps into Bella, "I'm not telling Evie the truth because you will when it's time. You'll deal with consequences about it." Bella whispers before going into the room.

Three questions:
What do you think about the book Aks and Vks(that is if you read the books)
Do you believe that descendants could have been a animated series from the start with ALL descendants kids and not just Mal
Who do you think got the worst treatment in the descendants fandom? AK version: Ben, Audrey, Lonnie or Chad?(or all 4)
I've read some of each book so I can answer briefly but I haven't ever sat down and read them all cover to cover back to back so excuse me if I left some things out.
1.) Pre-descendants (blank on which one was the prequel I think it was Isle of the lost not 100% though) Audrey was more naïve, honestly don't think I would've cared for her character if they kept her similar to female movie version Ben. I would've felt bad for her but I actually like movie Audrey more. A lot of fanfiction Audrey matches book Audrey's personality instead of Movie Audrey. I like that Audrey has a rougher personality, similar to the vks I relate Mal's d2 whole I'm not good enough and Evie's One kiss "maybe I'm just too bad" to her movie character because Audrey was selfish but she wasn't supposed to be she's a princess and I would've like to see how she struggled with that. In the books it's more or less non existent.
As for Ben I like him a lot more in the movies than in the books, I'm 50/50 on his book character. I think he's an ass, in the prequel it's implied that one of the only reasons he specifically picks Mal to come off the Isle because he has dreams about her (aka romantically interested) making it seem like he doesn't actually care for the Isle kids he just wanted to get himself a girl off of there. He's rude to Audrey, He basically implies that because he's becoming King his life is much harder than her fairy tale life and he thinks it's boring. He acknowledges that he doesn't even like her but continues to go out of these nicely planned dates with her. They make it seem like he's so tired and bored of everything in his life and that he's really only actively participating in friendships and relationships because he doesn't have anything else to do and takes the chance of bringing VKs into it to spice it up. They also instead of making it solely Mal's decision try to imply that Ben agreed with this decision instead of being pressured into it. Other than that he does seem like good o'l Ben there are sad moments were his insecurities of not being a good King are showed that I appreciated.
As for VKs
The Demon is worse than ever still the same terrible person that she is, except it's even worse now that I read her thoughts from the book.
Evie was shady sometimes but more or less the same character. They did give Carlos and Jay more lines and depth but I just feel like their characters book or movie version were never fully fleshed out. They have small characteristics that shows you hey it's this character talking but other times it's like you could switch the dialogue and say it's Jay talking here instead of Carlos and I wouldn't be able to tell the difference.
Uma is very close to her movie adaptation in my opinion, probably because she was only a movie character at first so the writer didn't have to struggle with giving a character a personally than having to change it when the movie decides to change it.
2.) If you mean make it so all the characters got equal screen time if it was a series than yeah I do. I know we all hate how it became the Mal show but I honestly struggle to see how they would flesh out each character in the last two movies anyway which is why you, myself and a lot of other people think it should've been a series so that all characters could've have an arc. Maybe then it wouldn't be "Mal and anybody she likes=right and anybody else= wrong"
3.) Worst treatment hands down Ben and Audrey but in general I think the fans are too hard on all the AKS especially the boy ones. Jane was forgiven, Lonnie is just there, there's nothing really to hate besides her hypocrisy. But Doug is shitted on because he was an insecure teenage boy who as a form of comedy relief calmy asked if Evie was seeing someone else and then tried to list his good points so that if Evie was seeing someone else she'd pick him over them. Chad is...a chad I do think it's unfair how the fandom hates him for using Evie but completely ignores the fact that she was doing the same thing. She didn't care about him and he didn't care about her why should one be hated over the other. Movie Chad really wasn't as much of a playboy as they tried to make him (I don't like Chad) but the only girl we see him show real interest in is Audrey. Everybody knows I don't think he was wrong for what he said at family day either it's just a strong bias against AKs.
Ben gets shitted on to lift up Mal like the series doesnt even jump start because of him. She gets credited for a lot of things he's done or should have been in charge of but gets shitted on for all the bad stuff that is never really his fault. Mal tries to spell him he rightfully gets angry and somehow he's pushing on being an abusive boyfriend??? If it's not from Mal fans it's unfortunately from Audrey fans blaming him for the Did I mention scene when he was clearly drugged. There's way more but let's cut it short.
Nothing Audrey can do is right in this fandom, when she didn't get herself involved with the Vks and didn't blindly trust them She's a mean girl she's a bully. When she snaps after having her life turned upside down, being betrayed and dropped by everyone she knows including adults and her family and is left lonely and isolated while being forced to watch the girl who's family now has a pattern of fucking hers over, she's over dramatic and doing too much over a high school break up and should be punished. Meanwhile most likely their favorite characters have either a similar personality to Audrey's or have done actions similar to hers that have gone unpunished (Looking at all the C4)

Carlos smiled as he held Jane close to him, both of them were curled up on the sofa in Evie’s castle in front of the fire. Well scratch that, the three of them were in front of the fire as Dude was also with them. He was just lying on the floor, his belly up in the air and his feet twitching as he dreamed his doggy dreams.
“It was nice of Evie to let us stay here for the night,” Jane whispered.
“You mean, it was nice of Evie to let us castle sit for her while she went out to dinner with her ‘True Love’?” Carlos said with a chuckle.
“I mean, hasn’t it been nice to have some time to ourselves?” Jane asked, tilting her head to kiss Carlos on the cheek. “I don’t think we’ve truly had a moment to ourselves since my birthday all those years ago.”
“Yeah…sorry about that,” Carlos said with a small sigh and a sheepish smile. “With vet school and everything—.”
“I don’t want you apologizing for that, Carlos,” Jane told him. “Your dream was to become a vet and you did that. Fleeting moments alone are temporary but achieving your dreams? Carlos, you have no idea how proud I was watching my boyfriend walk across that stage to get his diploma.”
“I bet I’ve got some idea because it was probably the same amount of pride that I felt when I watched you gradate,” Carlos chuckled.
“Wait, from Auradon Prep? Carlos we were in the same graduating class, that doesn’t count,” Jane said as Carlos leaned down to kiss the top of her head.
“And why doesn’t it? It’s a graduation after all,” Carlos said with a small smirk as Jane shook her head.
“Changing the subject…who do you think is the next couple to get together?”
“Well I mean Jay and Lonnie are dragging their feet on getting together, and it wouldn’t surprise me if Doug was proposing to Evie tonight,” Carlos said as he felt the ring box in his pocket. It had been several years since the first time he’d asked Jane to that fateful Cotillion where Mal discovered Ben was her True Love and Ben revealed that he might be insane for voluntarily getting between a dragon and a giant sea monster but Carlos was just as nervous as he was then.
What if Jane said no? What if she hated the ring? What if Dude stole the ring? What if Harry and Gil decided to replace the ring with a different one?
He mentally shook his head, those were just the nerves talking. He had no doubt Jane would like the ring, considering he went ring shopping with Fairy Godmother. Seeing as she was no longer their headmistress, she could do such things without any accusations of favoritism.
And while Carlos trusted his taste after years of being around Evie and reluctantly living with his mother, he also knew the most important lesson anyone on the Isle could ever learn: never anger the Fae.
Evie had done so, even inadvertently, with the whole snafu with her sixth birthday party and Mal’s invitation. Carlos didn’t want to think about what Fairy Godmother could do to him with her wand if he angered her.
“Hey…you okay?” Jane asked, noticing how silent Carlos had become.
“Hmm…oh yeah, yeah,” Carlos nodded. “I’m okay.”
“You’re sure? Do you need me to get up? I’m not hurting you am I? By laying on you like this?”
“Jane, if I didn’t want you this close I would have asked you to move,” Carlos told her, gently kissing the top of her head once more. “I was just thinking, that’s all.”
“Oh? Thinking about what?” Jane asked, sitting up slightly so that she could look at him.
Carlos took a steadying breath and looked at Jane. “What our wedding would be like,” he told her.
“Wha…why would you…?” Jane asked, her voice trailing off as Carlos slid off the sofa and pulled a box out of his pocket as he knelt down to one knee.
“Jane…you know that us ‘Villain Kids’ were never taught how to express our emotions so I apologize if I ramble or if this is a rubbish proposal but here I go. I love you mouse. I love the way your eyes light up every time you learn something new about your magic, I love the way you can sit and listen to me talk about animals or technology for hours, never once looking bored even if it’s something I’ve told you before. I love the way you can always see the positives in everything. Hell, I loved the way you would squeak out fo nervousness when we first met.”
“I believe that’s how you gave me my nickname,” Jane said, lightly teasing Carlos.
Carlos chuckled. “That I did. I love you Jane. You’re one of my best friends along with the best girlfriend anyone could ask for—and yes I’m aware that Harry, Ben, and Doug might argue against that but technically Mal’s Ben’s wife, Evie’s Doug’s True Love, and Uma’s Harry’s girlfriend even if they refuse to actually put a label on it.”
“Carlos?”
“Yes?”
“You’re rambling,” Jane said and couldn’t help but smile slightly as Carlos’ flushed at the realization.
“Oh…so I am,” Carlos said and gave a weak chuckle. “Anyway…we have a saying on the Isle, if you want something you take it. Well…I want a life with you Jane so I want to take this chance. Will you marry me?”
Jane couldn’t help but gasp as Carlos opened the box to reveal one of the most beautiful rings Jane had ever seen. Honestly she thought it beat Mal’s engagement ring. Not that there was any competition of course.
The ring wasn’t all that fancy, a golden band with a solitary blue gem in the center and diamonds embedding the side of the band though the diamonds seemed to stop halfway down the band.
“Um…Jane?” Carlos asked, his soft voice pulling Jane out of her thoughts and it was her turn to flush as she realized she hadn’t given him an answer.
“Yes! Of course I’ll marry you Carlos!” Jane exclaimed and Carlos grinned as he gently pulled the ring out fo the box and slid it onto her finger before taking his place back on the couch.
“Let me guess, you made it on your 3D printer?” Jane asked with a small chuckle as he held up her hand to admire the ring.
Carlos flushed slightly but nodded. “With the cost of Veterinary school, I just—.”
“Carlos, it’s fine,” Jane told him. “I love it no matter where it came from. Because it came from you.”
Carlos smiled and gently kissed the top of Jane’s head once more.
“See? I told you you just needed to man up,” Dude called from his spot in front of the fire.
“Oh yeah, as a wedding present, could your mom remove Dude’s ability to talk?” Carlos asked, looking at his fiancee.
“Hey!”

A Secret Santa gift for @blogofunstuff, I hope you enjoy it! And @descendantsgiftexchange, thank you so much for letting me participate! :D

I can't remember if I asked you about Doug but anyway, what's your honest thoughts about Doug and do you think D3 would the same without Doug?
Honestly, meh. He's just a meh character. Like, I can't say I fully like him since he did do that stalking thing in D1 and proceed...to jump straight to accusing Evie of cheating in D2 of all things just cause she didn't take him with her on camping. But outside of those moments, he's just meh and outside of those two iffy moments, he and Evie just served to be more healthy then Ben and Mal.
But uh...I'm going to have to say and I don't mean to be mean...for once, but yeah, D3 would be the same without Doug. His and Evie's plot was so pointless that you could easily remove it and nothing would be affected in the plot. All their plot was...was saying I Love You, because a couple that's been together for two years...hasn't said that apparently??? And yeah, 'One Kiss' was an okay song, but I doubt it would affect D3 if removed along with Doug. And they literally shove him off with Jane and Gil just so they can sit outside the museum until the final battle is done with. That's how pointless Doug was in the end in D3.

Bird Set Free | Ben Florian x Male Reader
Fandom: Descendants Pairing: Ben Florian x Male Reader Summary: A jealous Audrey comes after Ben’s boyfriend.
A/N: Another co write with my amazingly talented friend @inhumanshadows. If you haven’t checked them out what are you waiting for!? …
Ben had caught your eye the moment you stepped out of the limbo from the isle.
You were one of the first vk's to arrive in Auradon.
At the time Ben was dating Audrey so you didn't think you had any chance.
That changed after the big turney game when he asked you privately if you wanted to go on a date with him.
That shocked you first off because he was a prince/future king and you were a villain kid.
Secondly you were a guy. You hadn't expected Ben to be into guys.
You said yes of course. Who wouldn't want to go on a date with Ben.
The date went great and you enjoyed it.
During the whole coronation debacle, you helped Mal and them stop Maleficent.
Once everyone was unfrozen, Ben pulled you into a kiss in front of everyone.
That was a surprise to everyone, but who was going to challenge the king and his boyfriend who just stopped maleficent? No one that's who.
While Adam was shocked he wasn't disappointed and Belle was really supportive of you two.
Ben's parents were your biggest supporters. "Love is love."
While the kingdom had accepted you two relatively easy, one person did not. Audrey.
You had a feeling Audrey wouldn’t like it.
But you figured she wouldn’t be too mad for long.
At least that’s how it seemed. Especially when she left school for a little “wellness retreat.”
Then the mess with Uma happened.
You knew she spelled Ben and that any actions he made weren’t consciously his own.
The entire cotillion was...intense.
You didn't let Uma use Ben any more than she had.
You quickly pulled Ben in for a kiss and pressed your lips to his.
There was a spark and energy there that you felt every time you kissed.
Pulling back, Ben smiled at you and you could tell it had worked. He wasn't spelled anymore.
Uma and Mal then got into a fight over her spell book.
After everything settled down the two of you enjoyed the rest of your night.
However there was still a part of you that was hurt seeing Ben with someone else even if it wasn't his doing.
Luckily, Ben quickly made sure that YOU were the one for him.
That led to him proposing to you with a promise ring a week later.
...
You said yes to that right away. No way were you letting that pass by you.
Of course, Audrey wasn't happy with that. But who cares, what could she do?
-You didn’t care. You were engaged and had much more pressing matters to attend to.
-Now the whole kingdom was just in your face about really anything and everything.
“when’s the wedding?!”
“How are you adjusting to life as the prince’s boyfriend??”
It was that constantly and it gets old quickly.
So you just focused on Ben and your friends.
Evie insisted on designing yours and Ben’s wedding outfits.
“I mean I won’t tell you no Evie.”
You had to remind everyone that it was only a promise ring and not an actual engagement ring. No one seemed to care.
Honestly with you two, it really was more of an engagement ring.
But that was for another day. Today was Jane's birthday.
Ben had some last minute work to finish so you went ahead of him.
"(M/N)! It's good to see you."
"Ben's on his way. He just had to finish something first. He's sorry for being late."
She waved you off. "No worries."
Then someone you hadn't expected showed up.
Audrey.
She was dressed differently and had maleficent staff.
That wasn't good.
Audrey laid her eyes on you and a wicked smile came over her face.
That REALLY wasn't good.
"Jane, go. Run!"
Jane nods and hightails it out of there.
Audrey starts to sing “Happy birthday” as waves of green smoke wash over the party area, all the guests falling into a cursed sleep.
You brace for an inevitable sleep... but it never comes.
Audrey stands before you, smile on her face.
“A sleeping curse is too good and too easy for you. I have other plans.”
She bangs the bottom of the staff on the ground and you’re surrounded by smoke.
Magic flows over you and when it clears... everything is bigger.
“Well aren’t you a pretty bird...” Audrey says before vanishing.
You run to the edge of the lake and see that she turned you into a raven.
A raven. Of course she turned you into a raven, just like diaval.
Your first instinct is to panic. You're currently a bird when just five seconds ago you were human.
After calming down a bit you realize the next best thing to do is go after Ben.
Ben! If this is what Audrey did to you what would she have done to Ben!?
Without another thought you flap your new wings and try your best to fly.
It's not pretty at first but you figure it out and soon are flying to your future husband.
When you do reach Ben...it's not fun.
Audrey had changed him as well, but instead of a bird he was a beast. Just like his dad.
When you tried talking with him you hoped he would be like how his dad was as a beast...or at least as you had been told.
You figured you'd get to talk with him and figure out a way to stop Audrey.
Ben tried to eat you.
Apparently Audrey's curse made Ben an actual full beast and not just looking like one.
There was only one thing left to do...find help!
Finding help wasn't easy. Everyone was either asleep or turned to stone!
Fairy godmother? Stone. Belle and Adam? Asleep.
Luckily you found Mal and them, along with Uma, Gil and Harry.
Unluckily, they just thought you were a raven.
Harry kept shooing you and threatening to hit you with the hook.
Gil wanted to pet you. So that wasn’t too bad.
And the others either thought you were gross or just a dumb bird.
Gil proves to have the braincell for the group when he suggested giving whatever made Dude the dog talk to you.
Mal did it to “make the conversation change”
"Finally! I've been trying to get your attention forever!"
They all go wide eyed when you're voice comes out of the bird.
"Yes it's me. (M/N). Audrey turned me into a raven and I went to find Ben but she changed him into a beast! You gotta help me save Ben!"
Of course, even though you were a bird, Ben is a king, your boyfriend and a beast right now. You were helping him first.
"Oh and Gil...can you scratch my head again?"
What? It felt good.
Then Jay, Harry, Gil and Carlos went with you to find your boyfriend.
You guys find beast ben and slowly try to get his attention.
He turns and stalks towards you all.
He looks as if he’s about to pounce when Jane pops out of the trees and sprays him with water.
Ben roars and stumbles back rubbing his face. He drops his hands and looks relatively normal.
“What did you hit him with, Jane?” Jay asks.
“Enchanted lake water. Breaks most enchantments. Figured it couldn't hurt.”
You let out a breath you hadn't realized you were holding.
"Oh thank gods. I was so worried babe."
Ben froze in place as he saw you talking.
"(M/N)?"
You flew over and landed on his shoulder.
"Hey Ben. Audrey got to me first. Thanks for not eating me earlier."
Ben would then pet you.
"I'm glad I didn't. That would be awkward...now how do we change you back? Jane?"
"I kind of used the last of the water."
You look Ben up and down and he smiles at you.
“Gotta say Ben, I like the fangs and beard. Could be cleaner but...”
“Oh really?” Ben asks.
That when Harry whistles. “Sorry to break up that tender moment... but we have an angry Audrey to pursue...”
"Right! We'll have to figure something out later. I promise! I'll make sure to get you back" Ben said.
You knew he would. Ben always did.
Returning to Evie's cottage, Uma seemed to be leaving in a mood.
Doug who had been asleep was now awake.
"Wait? How is he awake?"
"True love’s kiss."
You looked at Ben who looked back at you.
"Why didn't we think of that?!" you said.
Ben rubbed the back of his head with a nervous look.
"Sorry."
“it’s alright. Lots happening. We’ll try later. First we deal with Audrey!”
Cue Audrey sealing you all in the cottage.
Then mal and Uma break you guys out with some awesome cooperative magic.
You: “Aww you guys are friends again!”
Mal: “I’ll pluck your feathers...”
“Alright! Geez...”
Then everything with Mal came out.
It made your heart break. Ben,Your boyfriend, your future husband, made a decision with Mal to not bring over any more VK's.
You couldn't believe it. You didn't want to accept it.
"So...you didn't even want to talk to me about this?" You said to him.
"I'm a VK Ben! You're wanting to stop any one else from getting the chance that I did? That's so wrong!"
Now you really wish you had gotten that kiss earlier...cause this love didn't feel true anymore.
Uma, Harry and Gil left...and so did you.
"I need to think."
"(M/N) wait!"
Did you leave on Gil’s shoulder, slumped against him? Yes yes you did.
It was all very confusing and pretty shocking.
While you understood where they were coming from... it... it just hurt.
You all were back at the cottage, checking up on Dizzy and the twins.
You were glad they weren’t awake to hear about all that. They had enough on their plates.
“So what do we do now?” You ask, walking on a table, everyone seated around it.
Uma: “Nothing. Let Mal and Ben figure it out... they don’t deserve our help after that stunt.”
"I can't just sit by Uma. I'm mad...but not let Audrey go kind of mad. If anything I want just a bit of revenge."
Uma smirked at that.
"Good to know there's still a VK in there."
You extended your wings and fake bowed.
Eventually you all began heading back to the isle before Mal stopped you begging you all to help her.
"They were turned to stone. (M/N),Ben was turned to stone."
It didn't matter how hurt you were, you still loved Ben.
Without hesitation you hopped off Gil's shoulder and began flying back.
Arriving back at the cottage you saw them, Evie, Dude,Carlos, Jay and Ben...all statues.
You landed on Ben's out stretched stone arm.
"Oh Ben...What do I do?"
You sat there perched on Ben's arm, looking at his frozen face.
You regretted that the last thing you two did was fight.
Hopefully this would be fixed soon and you can apologize.
As if your wishes were answered. Ben and the rest were unfrozen and the people began waking up.
"Ben! Oh gods you're back! I'm sorry! I'm so sorry about how I left."
"(M/N). No I'm sorry. I should have asked you. I'm sorry I didn't."
With that Ben lifted his arm with you on it up and kissed your head.
In an instant you felt yourself changing and growing and soon you were back to being human.
You smiled and pulled Ben into a tight up.
"Forget waiting. Ben, I have no idea what's going to happen but I know I want to be with you. Let's get married."
He didn't disagree and your promise ring was now that engagement ring.
After making sure everyone was alright after everything that transpired you, Ben and Mal got to talking and came to a unanimous decision.
You all agreed it was time to take the barrier down and stop making the children of villains pay for their parents misdeeds.
You worked with the other VKs to make the process as fair and efficient as possible.
Ben pulled you away for a minute to hug you.
“I know we’re still working on the rest of the VKs but I was thinking we could meet with Evie to talk about wedding stuff?”
“of course... we have a lot to plan... together.”
Evie was excited when you told her.
Ben and you also enjoyed the planning, especially the cake.
Your wedding was going to be amazing.

Never Should’ve Let You Go (Harry Hook x reader)
=““
My first Harry Hook x reader!!! I don’t know if anyone’s even going to read this but it was fun to write. :)
summary: y/n returns to the Isle of the lost to help save Ben with the vk’s and Lonnie, she tries convincing Harry to go back with her with no success and after that she thinks that she’ll never see him again. Months later Harry successfully jumps through the barrier with Gil to find Auradon under a sleeping curse.
word count: 2,314
“Hey, can you pass me that book?” y/n asked Harry, he threw it to her watching as she packed for Auradon. y/n was one of the vk’s that had been chosen to attend Auradan prep-to say she was excited was an understatement. It was her dream to go there.
“You goin’ ta miss me lassie?” Harry asked with his infamous grin.
“Of course, who else is going to call me lassie?“ She asked, imitating his accent while saying the word ‘lassie’.
Harry chuckled before dropping his smile “How long is this goin ta last?” He asked. The truth was he was scared of being separated from y/n for so long-terrified even, she was one of the few things that made the isle more bearable-but he’d never admit it. He was too prideful. He was pretty sure that he was in love with her.
“It’s only for a little while.” She told him, getting closer to the boy. “There’s a plan to steal the fairy godmother’s wand and take down the barrier.” She whispered, “We’ll see each other soon.”
“hmm” He thought, wrapping his arms around y/n pretending to think. “Ok, don’ you keep me waitin’ too long.” He told her resting his forehead against hers. He tried to kiss her but y/n pecked the corner of his mouth before backing up. “Always a tease.” He complained, making y/n laugh.
“I’ll see you soon.” y/n said once more but before she could leave, Harry caught her wrist, pulling her back and planting his lips on hers-capturing her in a passionate kiss.
“Don’t be gone fer too long.” He told her, bringing her into a hug.
“I-”
“y/n! Get down here already!“ A voice came from downstairs.
“That’s my cue.“ she said kissing Harry’s cheek. She backed up, holding his hand and let go once she was a few steps away. “Don’t miss me too much.“ She joked.
“I’m more worried about you.“ Harry shouted back once she was out the door, he smiled to himself when he heard her laugh-secretly wishing that he could go with her.
(days later)
“Harry y/n’s on tv.“ Gil shouted, pointing to the small screen behind the counter. Harry had just walked into Ursula's Fish and Chips, but once he caught a glance of y/n on the tv he walked over quickly to watch. “Oh the wand!” Gil exclaimed with a mouth full of food, “didn’t you say that-”
“Shut ye mouth!” He snapped, raising his hook in the air. ‘This is it’, he thought. Once Mal grabbed the wand. ‘The barriers coming down’.
Then Maleficent showed up and the vk’s changed their minds-betraying their parents trust and crushing Harry’s hopes.
And the rest of the isle kids were still stuck on the isle.
(present time)
y/n stood behind Mal watching as her friend and Uma argued. Her eyes scanned the pirate ship-recognizing a few faces before seeing Harry with Ben on the plank. “Mal, whatever you do it’s gonna be a lose-lose, there’s gotta be a better way!” Ben’s voice rang out. Harry and y/n made eye contact for a moment before she turned away.
In truth Harry felt betrayed-y/n had hurt him more than anyone ever had. She had promised before that the wand would be taken and the barrier taken down, but it seemed that she had changed her mind-choosing to stay with her friends and have a perfect life in Auradon-dooming Harry and everyone else that was still stuck on the Isle. “Silly king!” Uma yelled out-ripping Harry away from his thoughts-“You? Give me? You're gonna give me a chance? Well, not a chance!”
After a little while longer the wand had been handed over and turned up being a fake-that’s when the fighting between the two sides began. y/n was on the ground with a pirate pointing their sword at her-when the sword was knocked out of their hand. Jay helped the girl up, pushing the pirate off of the ledge and into the water. “You ok?” He asked and she nodded, taking the sword that he held out to her. “I know this is hard for you.” He told her-referring to Harry, “try to stay up here.”
Well she had tried, but she was now closer to the ship than she had intended-trying to get to the exit where her friends were. “y/n!” Harry’s voice came from behind her. She looked over-spotting the pirate struggling to get out of the water.
“y/n come on!” Mal shouted from somewhere behind.
y/n ignored her friend, reaching down to take Harry’s hand and help him back onto the wooden dock. He looked up at her and the two stared at each other for a moment. “Come with us.” y/n said out of nowhere, making Harry chuckle. “I’m serious.” She pleaded.
“I’m not leavin’ Uma and Gil behind.” He told her before sadly adding “not like you left us.”
Her mouth opened in disbelief, “Harry I-”
“y/n!” Jay’s voice rang out, “come on!”
y/n looked back to her friends. “Stay.” Harry said, taking y/n’s hand. “Stay with me.” His blue eyes were pleading and this was the most vulnerable y/n had ever seen the boy. She put her other hand over his, squeezing it.
“I can’t.” She whispered.
“y/n!” Jay called again.
“Harry you can come with us, Uma and Gil and everyone else too. Come with me..” She begged holding his hand, he let go looking down. “Please.” y/n whimpered-feeling tears well up in her eyes. “We can have a better life in Auradon-a happy life please....I love you.” That was the first time either of them had said that.
He silently watched her for a moment, looking at the ground-he didn’t have to say his answer.
y/n’s eyebrows furrowed as she bit her lip. “Harry...?” She asked with a breaking voice, “Harry.”
“Yer friends are callin’ ye.“ He croaked. “Just leave-it’s what yer good at.“
“But...“
“y/n!“ It was Carlos’s turn to shout her name this time. y/n looked back to her friends then to Harry-debating what to do. A purple color bomb came out of nowhere suddenly-blocking everyone’s vision. When it cleared y/n was gone.
Harry had lost her a second time.
(months later)
“Don’t worry Jane, I’m sure Carlos will be here.“ y/n told her friend, putting a hand on her shoulder. “He’s probably just running late.”
Jane glanced at her friend, offering a nervous smile.
Carlos however was going back to the isle with the other vks, but y/n of course didn’t know since she arrived extra early to Jane’s party to help with decorations, and the vk’s were in a rush to get Hade’s ember.
“I just don’t don’t get what’s taking him so long...“ Jane said with worry, “are there birthday parties on the isle?”
“um..“ y/n glanced at her friend “if by birthday party you mean eating stolen cake with dirt and flies then yes...“ She chuckled, making Jane giggle as well.
“um y/n?“ Jane asked staring up the hill.
y/n looked to where Jane was starring, gasping when she saw a pink mist covering the place. It started to make it’s way down to where the two girls stood. “Don’t let her see you!” y/n warned her friend upon seeing Audrey.
“The enchanted lake! Come on!” Jane told y/n, taking hold of her wrist and pulling her towards the direction of the water.
“I don’t know how to swim.”
“It’s fine-we just need to get deep enough to bend down into the water.” Jane reassured her. y/n nodded, submerging into the lake. They waited a few moments until Audrey disappeared before coming back up.”Was that Audrey?” Jane asked with a mix of confusion and worry.
“With maleficent’s staff.”
“And the crown!”
“We need to warn people!” y/n told Jane, getting out of the water.
“Let me just fill this water gun up with the lake water. Who knows, we might need it.”
“Knowing the vk’s, they’re probably on top of this already.” y/n told Jane-who had just finished filling up the water gun. “Come on, we should go look for them.”
The two wandered around the woods for a while before making it to Evie’s cottage, “Let’s check here.” Jane told y/n, she nodded in agreement.
With a bobby pin from Jane’s hair, y/n picked the lock after nobody answered the door. “I think that Doug was here-“ The door opened, revealing Audrey standing in the cottage-scepter in hand, with Chad beside her. On instinct y/n swung the door open wider-hiding Jane from Audrey’s view. “Audrey you don’t have to do this!” y/n told the girl, staying put, “just wake everyone up and I promise-”
“Promise me what?” Audrey snapped, “There’s nothing you can possibly offer me that I want!”
“Audrey.” y/n said carefully “I don’t know why you’re doing this, but you can fix it.”
“I don’t want to fix it!” She hissed, “I’m having the time of my life.” She added with a laugh, “you on the other hand, won’t be so lucky. Chad let’s go!” She boomed.
“Wait Au-” but it was too late. Audrey hit the scepter against the floor board and began to teleport. “Sweet dreams...” Her fading voice cackled. The same pink mist from earlier surrounded y/n, making it’s way to her.
“y/n!“ Jane called out, taking a step closer.
“No!“ y/n yelled, throwing her arms out to stop Jane from getting to close. “don’t waste the water on me-“ Then she fell to the ground asleep and the pink mist disappeared.
“y/n!“ Jane yelled, rushing to her friend’s side. She looked around in a panic wanting to cry. She took a deep breath, closing her eyes and stood up. “Don’t worry y/n.” She whispered, “I’m going to drag you into the house and then find everyone else.”
It didn’t take long for Jane to lay y/n on a couch. She had just carefully laid y/n’s head on a pillow when she heard a roar coming from the woods. She had followed it and found Carlos, Jay two other boys she didn’t recognize, and Ben in beast form. She didn’t have to think twice before spraying him with the water from the enchanted lake. After a happy reunion with Carlos Jay spoke up, “Jane do you know where Audrey went?”
“No but y/n-”
At the mention of y/n, Harry’s head snapped to look at her. “ye know y/n?”
“...Yeah.” Jane nodded, “she’s my friend.”
“That’s Harry and Gil.” Jay told Jane and she nodded.
“What about y/n?” Carlos asked.
“She’s under the sleeping curse.“ Jane explained, “Audrey showed up out of nowhere and cursed her before leaving!”
“y/n’s under the sleepin’ curse?” Harry almost yelled. Normally he didn’t act emotional, but he was worried now. “Where?”
“At Evie’s cottage.” Jane said, “come on.” The group made it to Evie’s cottage with no trouble, finding the girls there too. They had their short reunion and Mal ran into Ben’s arms. Harry however went straight for the door.
“Where is she?” He asked almost losing his temper. Uma knew exactly what he was talking about and nodded her head towards the cottage, leading the way.
Harry froze for a second after seeing y/n fast asleep on a couch. He creeped forward-as if a sudden movement would disturb her. “I should’ve been here.” He whispered, kneeling down beside her. “I’m sorry-I drove you away and now yer-”
“Hey Harry.” Gil called from the doorway.
“Can’t ye see I’m havin’ a moment?” Harry yelled to the boy.
“Well yeah but...why don’t you try kissing her?” He asked.
“An’ why would I do that?” Harry asked looking up aggrivated.
“Well you know..true loves kiss.” Gil told him with a smile as if it were obvious. “Uma said it works every time.”
“It does.” Uma said from beside Gil.
“Well it won’t work this time.” Harry whispered.
“Why not?” Gil asked confused, “don’t you love her?”
“Course I love her!” Harry snapped, looking back down at y/n. “But she’s gotta love me too, and I doubt she does after how I acted-I hurt her.”
“She hurt you too, but you still love her.” Gil said.
“Why don’t you just try?” Jay asked.
“I can’t.” Harry told the boy, “what if it doesn’t work?” He closed his eyes-he didn’t think he could bare it if it didn’t work.
“She loves you.” Jay told the pirate, “I don’t know why since you’re kind of a jerk-” he stopped talking when Harry glared at him. “But she does and I don’t think she’ll ever stop.”
“If you don’t try you’ll never know.” Uma told him, patting Gil’s shoulder as a hint to leave.
Once they were alone Harry looked down at y/n sighing. He pulled a strand of her back with his hand, softly caressing her cheek. “Please work.” He whispered. He leaned down closing his eyes and pressed his lips against hers softly.
Nothing happened.
Harry looked away sadly, “I’m sorry lass.” He said-about to cry.
But he didn’t see her eyes flutter open. “Harry?” y/n asked confused, Harry’s head snapped in her direction and his mouth opened in shock before a smile formed on his lips.
“y/n!” He exclaimed, wrapping his arms around the girl. “It worked!”
y/n hugged him back laughing, “what-what are you doing here?”
“I jumped through the barrier before it closed.” He laughed resting his forehead against hers. “I love ye y/n, more than anything.”
y/n smiled, wrapping her arms around his neck again, “I love you too.”

“You’re too good at kissing for me,” Evans gasped, leaning his head back. Doug delighted in the flush that spread from ear to ear. Doug kissed his chin, and felt some amusement at how flustered Evans was at the moment, unable to keep his gaze steady, yet unable to stay away from Doug’s lips for long. “Is it weird to say that you taste good?”
“That’s just your cooking, Evie,” Doug snarked, and pulled Evans back to his mouth, going right for him with overly expressive moans of enjoyment. He could feel the heat running up Evans’ neck, Doug’s grin making the baiser somewhat difficult. “Can I please have my dessert…? I want to eat you up.”
“I thought we agreed no v--”
Doug cut him off with a kiss.
“Don’t finish that sentence, Ev.” Doug told him when he moved back. “You’d kill the mood.”
“Fair enough,” Evans replied, and started to make his way towards the bedroom, casting back a glance at Doug. He giggled and then licked the side of the lawyer’s lip. “You have alfredo sauce on your nose, Doug. Clean yourself up and I’ll meet you there, okay?”
“You’re sending me away over alfredo?” Doug feigned true offence. “Really? Alfredo sauce?”
“I can’t take you seriously when you look like a buffoon who didn’t apply their sunscreen right,” Evans easily countered. “Look at yourself in the mirror.”
Doug was about to protest, and then with a glance to said mirror, he realized that Evans was absolutely correct. He smiled, shrugged, and made his way to the bathroom. While there, he grabbed a mint and ran a hand through his hair, unable to shake the smile from his lips. It was rare for Evans to make a move, especially one so bold and implicative. The detective’s confidence resembled that of when he finally had all the pieces to a particularly tricky puzzle and everything was playing out how he expected it to. Doug wondered if he was the question this time, and if so, what was the answer Evans so clearly could see? It was, frankly, curiosity and thrill inducing. The buzz of excitement was stuck all around him, and the water seemed to evaporate from his pinkened face quickly.
He slipped his hands in his pockets and strutted to their room.
The door was closed.
For some reason, perhaps not knowing what would be waiting for him to see, that made his heartbeat get a little more intense. He wasted no time in getting it open and stepping within, only for his breath to be taken and his heart to stop.
Evans had gone all out.
He had draped a thin red fabric over the lights, giving the room a soft, ruddy tinge. The sheets had been changed (Doug smirking at the irony behind that one) and the surfaces cleaned, a small paper box on the center of the bed.
Doug ignored that in favor of looking at Evans. The detective surely knew he was there with his superior hearing able to sense Tammy’s door opening from behind headphones, but he had not turned to face him, focused on taking off his shirt, vest already carefully set aside. As soon as Doug caught a glimpse of his shoulder, his hands and legs finally kicked into gear, and he quickly made his way behind Evans, nuzzling his neck and wrapping his arms around his middle.
“Haloa, Haloa,” Evans laughed quietly as Doug’s nimble fingers wrested the edges of the shirt out of his grip. “What’s this?”
“Let me do the honors, Evans,” Doug proclaimed, kissing the shoulder that faced open air. His heart ached a bit as his lips trace the scar Agatha had left on the shorter. Evans turned his head back to get Doug to kiss him, and he obliged him as he took off the shirt, Evans’ stout build rippling like a dew drop falling into a puddle, shifting minutely but noticeable, fascinating. Doug haphazardly folded the fabric and set it atop the vest. Evans turned to face him, smiling as the lawyer took off his own vest. Evans slipped a hand between the two uppermost fixed buttons of his shirt, and with a motion that Doug could not hope to comprehend, had split the shirt open and drew it from his shoulders, folded it, and put it atop the blue vest. “How the hell do you make taking off a shirt so easily so hot?”
“Shut up, Douglas,” Evans reprimanded, his hands sliding up Doug’s wrists to his shoulders, thumbs tracing his collarbone. His breath quickened beneath those hands, even as he grimaced at his name. Evans laughed and pulled him in for a kiss, soft and chaste, though not destined to be so. “Put that slick mouth of yours where it’s really useful, now.”
“As ya wish,” Doug winked, stepping to walk Evans backwards to the bed, one hand running through soft brown hair and the other unclipping Evans’ badge and belt, shifting his hips against the other’s. Evans turned them around and broke away to pick up the little box. “Whatcha got there, Evie?”
“Dessert,” Evans replied, putting it on the side table and then returning his attention to Doug, kissing him again softly, twice. Doug smiled a bit wider, letting Evans push him down onto the bed. “Love you.”
“I love you too,” Doug gasped, Evans kissing him a little deeper as he climbed onto the bed. Hands slid up his shoulders and over to his wrists, around his hands, focusing on each knuckle and joint, before coming back around fingers intertwining. Doug felt soft fabric against the bottom of his arms from Evans pressing him to the bed, his mouth hot and inviting and with the remnants of alfredo sauce mixing with the mint Doug had eaten. He trailed after Evans when the man pulled away, trying to wrap his arms around him to pull him close, but found that he could not move his arms at all. Looking up, he saw that he had been bound to the bed with his own ties. “Okay, this is both… incredibly hot, and confusing. How the fuck did you do that?”
“Pre tied the knots,” Evans smoothly replied. “Got your hands into them and then when you pulled you tightened them yourself. So… are you okay with this?”
“I think,” Doug rolled his hips up against Evans’, “That I’m more than okay with this. Are you?”
“Yeah. Yes. I am. Pull this way if you want to get out,” Evans nodded and explained. He then reached to pick up the box on the bedside, and took out a small brown object, smiling at Doug shyly. “Chocolate?”
Doug’s hand instinctively went to pick up the sweet, though the soft tie on his wrist kept him from getting even close. Evans blushed, smiling a little wider, and held it close for Doug to take.
The shiver Evans tried to contain was as sweet as the candy that Doug licked from his hands.
“You’re such a degenerate,” Evans huffed, bright red. Doug laughed; “I’m not the one who tied his boyfriend to the bed using his own ties. Why use them, though?”
“Doug, I wasn’t about to use rope, nor about to walk into a store for whatever is typically used for this,” Evans easily replied, folding his arms and sitting back. Doug laughed and leaned close to kiss what skin he could reach, making him squeak with the ticklish sensation. He ducked to kiss Doug to hide his fluster. “Are the chocolates any good?”
“Try one, Evie,” Doug smirked, tugging a bit to nip at his tongue. “Or you can taste mine.”
Evans quietly ate one without following Doug’s suggestion, and then put one between his teeth and bent forward to kiss Doug with the sweet cacao on his lips. Quickly catching on, Doug made sure to pay more attention to Evans’ mouth than the rapidly melting chocolate, and with a considerable effort, he twisted his arms to get Evans stuck between them and pressed to the bed under his weight.
The detective looked up at him, panting and with chocolate smeared on his lips and cheeks.
“Aren’t you beautiful,” Doug crooned, licking some smudges and sliding into the other’s open, willing mouth. “Mm, so good. Ev, you’re too good.”
Evans moaned and wrapped his arms and legs around Doug, holding him close, fingers trailing the muscles of his back and shoulders. Though Doug’s arms were crossed, he still could give the detective a light squeeze of happiness.
“I love you, Doug,” Evans sighed, kissing all over his face. Doug laughed and kissed him back. “I love everything about you, from your personality to your looks, you just make me feel so young and free.”
“Aw, stop being all sappy on me,” Doug pouted, though his enjoyment was clear as day. “Sweetheart, as soon as you stop focusing on how things can go wrong, of course you’d feel free.”
“I only feel like this with you,” Evans breathed, those honey brandy eyes as hazy and loving as ever. Could you-- could you kiss me again? Softly?”
“How the hell can I say no to that?” Doug breathlessly replied, dipping down to fulfill Evans’ request. “Mm… Love you. Love you, Evie.”
“I love you, too,” Evans answered with fervor. “I love you, Doug. Heaven help me, I love you.”
The door slammed open, both Evans and Doug turning to look at the intruder with wide eyes. Tammy, her face downturned towards her backpack, which she had been rifling through, had yet to notice the situation that she had walked in on.
“Dad, can you sign this waiver for- oh my god.”
“Tammy!” Doug yanked back, remembering where he was and the fact he was tied to the bed at the same time. “Uh. I’m a little tied up at the moment-- pun not intended, don’t you dare laugh, Evans-- but, just give us a minute! Ev, how do I get out of these again?”
Evans, red from embarrassment, hastily untied Doug and then flung the blanket over himself to hide.
“Don’t forget a shirt, Dad!” Tammy called from the hall, giggling. Doug swiveled back to the dresser and pulled on the first tee shirt he could get his hands on. He waved at Tammy and plucked the paper from her hand. “It’s an overnight zipline place.”
“You sure you’ll be fine?” Doug asked, raising an eyebrow.
“Yep,” Tammy nodded firmly, then grinned. “And you and Evans can get some proper alone time.”
“I’m gonna go check on him,” Doug turned away after ruffling her hair. “You had pizza with your team, right?”
“Mhm,” Tammy replied, hauling up her backpack. “I’m gonna go do my homework.”
He gave her a thumbs up.
Doug patted the lump that was Evans.
“You good?”
“Just give me a minute.”
“I’d give you the whole world.”
Evans pushed Doug over to kiss him.

The Law Of Total Madness ~ H.H
Pairing: Harry Hook x Reader (yes I wrote Got7 into this sue me) + (please don’t I’m broke 🤦♀️)
Y/N’s P.O.V
Being Chad Charming’s twin sister was an interesting occurrence, Ben being your best friend for your whole life and growing up around Chad expectation of the perfect sister was exhausting this was where you found your love for singing and dancing thanks to Ben. He also introduced you to your other best friend prince Yugyeom originally from Jypnation and 6 other his friends who made music together the 8 of you were always glued together, you stuck together and turns out it was good for you to get away from Chad he may of been your brother and yes you loved him but god was he unbearable! Even better the 8 of you talk in korean to confuse anyone trying to ease drop Princess love to be some nosey bitches, you were a hip hop dancing, princess role breaking rebellious free soul and Chad HATED that. Perhaps the icing on the cake was that you were secretly dating a Scottish pirate, the only son of Captain Hook, the love of your life Harry Hook. It happened when you and Ben were kidnapped with Ben after convincing him you should go with him for “protection” when really you just wanted to wag chemistry class they kept you and Ben seperate and you and Harry ended up in a long make out session about 15 minutes before the most epic battle you’d ever witnessed, Ben announced that after 6 months since Dizzy, The Twins and Celia came to auradon that 3 more vks would be coming over! Hoping it would be Harry, Uma and Gil you talked to Gil while ‘kidnapped’ you two were close it was nice he seemed genuinely like a good guy, it was nice that he’s loyal to his crew and today was the day they were to arrive. Ben, Chad, Mal, Carlos, Jay, Evie, Doug and I were all gathered around waiting for them to show them around and such, the limo pulls up and all three vks get out my chest gets tight thinking about seeing him again yeah we starting “being a thing” very quickly but I liked him a lot I knew that much “Welcome to Auradon” Ben smiles “Try not to break anything” Chad snarls and I smack him over the head earning a deep chuckle from Harry as he smirks at me “it’s very colourful here” Gil smiles he’s too pure omg “well I would love too stay and help but I promised NaNa I’d be at practice 10 minutes ago, it was lovely too see you all again.” I wave before running off towards the school dance hall and quickly issuing magic to get changed into a red crop top and some high waisted black shorts with black converse, damn I was too cute for my own good sometimes, poor Chad never got any magic my parents had me enchanted when I was little so I could protect myself.
Harry’s P.O.V
“I apologise for Princess Y/N’s departure she’s preparing for a very important event and competition as a representative for Auradon, if any of you need her she’s typically in the dance hall!” Ben hints looking towards me it’s not like her and I were seriously anyways, yeah I liked her, a lot but I’d barely say I thought about her. That’s a lie everyday that stupidly gorgeous girl plagued my mind and she just runs off before I can have her in my arms again, how selfish? Does she even still care about me, about us, we had a connection fuck I knew feelings and l..l...lov that l word made you weak, how pathetic I thought I had a happily ever after.
We go through the entire of auadorn and finally reach the Dance Hall we hear loud music coming from within and I peek in seeing Y/N practicing “let’s watch!” Ben opens the door and we stand at the back my eyes fixated on the gorgeous girl dancing her heart out, “she’s gonna win” Chad laughs at Gils proud statement “please who does she think she is this isn’t the isle she should be in a castle or locked in a tower” Chad snorts “I’m sorry say that again Princey” I growl “cool it” I hear Uma whisper “you wanna get found out huh” she follows. “He’s an ass” I mutter focusing back on the events in front of me Y/N walking towards us with a big smile “what did you think?” She asks as her sparkling eyes meet mine before Chad can even open his mouth I reply “Ye did very good indeed” winking at the now blushing princess “anyways” she chirps “we need 3 more female dancers to back up Yugyeom and I’s duo for the competition, because as much as I’d love too see Jackson, Mark and BamBam in skirts with wigs and heels... I don’t wanna frighten the audience” she giggles looking behind her at the 7 boys now making their way over once they reach us the throw Y/N a questioning look before speaking in what I can only assume in another fucking language.
Y/N’s P.O.V
I would be lying if I said I didn’t miss Harry I did and as much as I wanted to run into his arms and breathe in his scent and glory I know I can’t, I lean over to Uma to get closer to Harry “Hey Uma, I don’t know if ben told you but we are sharing a room, I’m barely ever in my dorm so don’t worry I won’t bother you!” I smile and she just scoffs she’s not the biggest fan of me I mean she did kidnap Ben and I after all, I couldn’t blame her though the Isle was shocking I would wanna get out too I am kinda thankful cause of it I found Harry. That was if he still even liked me, I heard from Mal he’s a player and no good that he flirted with anything that moved I mean one of the old exchange students Nana did that too, and he was harmless I was just hoping Harry’s flirting was too.
“Yugyeom, can we finish I wanna show em to the dorms?” I smile to the fluffy haired boy sweat dripping down his white shirt making it slightly see through “only this once ya, usually I’m the one to try cut practice shorty” he laughs “sweet, don’t forget we go all day tomorrow with the boys!” I point to our 6 other friends and wave shooting them a wink before turning around seeing everyone but the pirates had left “well I’ll shall show you to your rooms I guess” I lead the way to the dorms it’s a bit awkward and the silence burns.
“So Y/N” Gil cuts the air “what’s this competition?” He smiles coming and placing an arm around me I hear Harry growl but I just let Gil rest his arm on me “well it’s a multi-kingdom performance competition, we must sing and dance and the winner’s kingdom hosts a massive party and a heap of important musical performers come for all necks of the woods too play and come watch!” I smile getting excited just thinking about it “Yugyeom and I have a duo, I have a solo and so does he, then a boy group performance and then a girl group performance if we win 3/5 of the categories Auradon will host its first ever K fest, it’ll be amazing!” I stop abruptly “our duo performance is gonna be the best we’ve ever done, and we’ve done a lot” I chuckle “anyways this is the boys dorm 701 Gil and Harry are here and then just down the all at 690 is where Uma will be if y’all need her. Your belongings will be inside for you if you need anything please don’t hesitate to ask” I turn around and walk to my room Uma in tow “so Y/N, been a while huh?” She laughs “indeed it has, how’re you feeling about all this?” I ask pointing around “it’s where I’ve always wanted to get my crew, I got Gil and Harry here, now I need to work on the rest” I see a glint of sadness in her eyes “I’m only really here because I care about those boys and they don’t deserve to rot on an island, yeah they’re dicks and trouble but they’re loyal to me so I am loyal to them, they fight for me so I fight for them. Always!” I was shocked Uma was really caring I didn’t expect this side of her “I’m only telling you this because I know you and Harry are a thing” she pays my back “wait we still are?” I ask hopeful “yeah, the moment he gets you alone he’ll be all over you like a hungry wolf, watch ya back” she laughs I take a deep breath “thank you Uma I wasn’t sure he even still knew me” I lay on my bed and my stomach grubmles “girl you’re so busy dancing you don’t eat” Uma scolds “come on” she grads my hand “were getting you some food!” Running out the door she takes me too the kitchen and starts making food “I used to have make chips all the time at the shop, so hopefully Auradon sir makes them taste better than the grubby isle ones” she scoffs “Uma, can I ask something?” I nervously fiddle “sure princess what’s up?” She says cutting up potatos “Did Harry’s father ever abuse him?” She seems taken aback “it’s just I remember telling Harry I’d stay behind he just had to pretend he had me at sword point, and he said he’d never even pretend to do such a thing because he wasn’t his father.” I wipe a few tears I was confused was Harry harmful “Harry gets his father’s temper or therefore lack of, he had outbursts, I’m sure he’ll still have them, yes to put it shortly his father before he was in the crew would often abuse him. But it wasn’t uncommon, not in the isle love is a weakness.” “Then am I weak for loving him no matter what Uma” why was I even opening up to her “no because I think you could be good for him, just don’t turn him” she jokes “or I’ll use this” she holds her shell out “yes captain!” We laugh. “Maybe finally having a roommate won’t be so bad aye” I smile as she cooks Uma might actually be a really great friend and she knows more about Harry than anyone else maybe Hook and I could work.
*The Next Day*
“Those boys I swear are always late” I mutter to no one in particular “now what’s a gorgeous girl like you doing standing ‘ere all alone?” My heart jumps hearing his voice again “Hi Harry” I turn around smiling “ye know isle got boring without a princess to kiss” she smirks “is that so, awe Harry did you miss me” I joke about he moves closer “believe me or not love, I actually did. Let’s say you left a bit of a mark on me so to speak” I giggle “now come here babe” I pull him in for a long and heated kiss “Lovely doing business with ye princess” he smirks spinning around and walking out. What the actual fuck was that, what is he playing at I’m not just some toy, I turn on the music and start dancing to Bonnie & Clyde by Dean nothing can distract me not even Harry.
Harry’s P.O.V
I fucked it up I panicked and played fuck boy player again the confident fascade is what I’m know by I must keep it up, show no emotion, no weakness. Sorry princess. It’s just how I am.
I walk to uma’s room and knock on the door “yeah what” I hear her shout “it’s me” and like that the door flies open “Where’s Gil?” She questions “running round with Jay apparently they’re besties or whatever I’m just letting the dog loose” I plop myself down on the princess’ bed “geez Auradon beds are comfy” I sigh “I don’t think your little girlfriend would appreciate your smelly leather and metal scent over her sheets” Uma jokes “not me girlfriend” I point out “I’d watch it if I were you then, she gushed on about that Yugyeom boy for a very long time, of she ain’t yours surely she’ll be his I mean they’re never not together.” As if on cue in walks Y/N “Hey Uma did you see where I put my tablets, the ones with the orange jar, I’ve got a massive headache.” She rubs her head still unaware I’m laying on her bed “yeah left hand side of the bathroom counter top” she smiles did I miss something what are they all of a sudden so... friendly...
“Thank you so much oh and by the way I’ll be back late tonight so don’t wait up I’ll sneak in, Yugyeom and I have to rehearse til late cause Ben wants to come watch us and make sure it’s all good” I watch as she leaves then I close my eyes and drift off too sleep surprisingly.
“Harry wake up omg” I hear as I open my eyes too see Uma standing above me “what?” I ask rubbing me eyes then picking up me hook “get off of Y/N’s bed and wake up she’s gonna be here soon” she scoffs “surely she wouldn’t mind a handsome looking lad in her bed waiting for ‘er” I laugh.
Y/N’s P.O.V
“Ben I don’t really understand?” I question “you want us... to kiss?” I point between Yugyeom and I “yes the chemistry is there I’m telling you it’s the winning touch, the performance is so dynamic it just needs the big ending, it’ll leave everyone shocked, stunned and more importantly it shows how well you work together.” The king smiles “are you sure this is a good idea?” He’s gone crazy completely mad oh this is not going to end well “let’s call it a day you two need to eat and back again tomorrow for more practice” Ben smiles holding the door open for us both, “he’s not serious right Y/N” Yugyeom whispers “I hope he’s not, but something tells me he is, it’s fine gyu we are the best this is nothing!” I smile placing a hand on his shoulder “what about that boy?” He asks in a small voice “we aren’t dating he made that very clear, who cares this is our dream we are so close!” I smile side hugging him and briefly laying my head on his “fighting!!” I smile before grabbing his hand and walking to my dorm he always walks me to the door of my room when we practice late “Thanks Yugyeom!” I smile “let’s work hard tomorrow!” I hug him really tightly saying goodbye and open the door to find Uma working on something and Harry asleep on my bed “I don’t remember ordering a strange man in my bed, Uma I think this ones for you.” I point to the pirate passed out on my bed “he’s been like that for hours, I don’t think he’s sleeping at night” Uma shrugs “I’ll be back I have to go try round up Gil watch the scot” I laugh before going to change clothes in the bathroom I walk out no more than 10 minutes later and he’s still there snoring away. “Harry I told you if you were struggling to come find me” I play with his hair and carefully remove the hook placing it right next to my bed I grab the spare blanket from the cupboard and put it over him and when I go to walk away I hear “Please, just stay with me love” he says almost way too soft “I’ll explain later just please” I notice he’s shaking must be nightmares or ptsd “it’s okay Harry I’m right here, I’m always gonna be okay” I smile placing a soft kiss on his forehead and jumping into the free slither of bed he’s left much for my surprise he moves and pulls me close with his arm around my stomach before I know it I’m fast asleep.
Harry’s P.O.V
I woke up and there she was in my arms and it felt right, it felt like nothing could ruin this moment until once again I panicked I’m not used to feeling this I grab my hook and leave her all alone, pangs if guilt hit me but I ignore them I’m a pirate the best one I don’t need feelings they make you weak and I will never be weak. I will make my father proud he will call me his son and I’ll finally have a family, I don’t need some stupid princess to distract me.
Y/N’s P.O.V
I woke up alone in my bed with nothing left but the memory and slight scent of metal and the ocean, or was it leather? Doesn’t matter now he used me again and I let him, I need to watch myself no distractions that would discredit all of Yugyeom and I’d hard work I’m letting Harry ruin this for me. That being said another day another practice T-minus 1 week until we gotta rock this competition he’s obviously gotta work himself else I ain’t here for his amusement ugh, today there’s a big school meeting where we perform some songs as a taster for the school and our sister school (team) Ateez High are sending over their recruits to perform, I can’t wait we have had these prepared forever so we got this in the bag.
{Might do a series on this one, kinda proud my first imagine for Harry Hook x Y/N reader I had to add something kpop okay just bear with me! Got a few requests so I’ll be getting right into them⚡️🤍}

Encore - POYW - Harry Hook x reader - part 23 - finishing touches
=
You hummed around your fork as the creamy buttercream hit your tongue, looking down at your lap that held your aunt's tablet as you looked over the concept art your aunt had made for your wedding cake.
They ranged from sheet cakes with black and red swirling designs to four-tiered cakes with black and silver designs with red roses decorating the top and bottom tiers.
“these are all so pretty, I have no clue which one to choose” you sighed, setting down the fork next to the crumbs of your once existing sample cake, you and Harry had decided on the flavors a bit ago, chocolate raspberry truffle cake with raspberry glaze and chocolate buttercream and angel food with light vanilla buttercream.
Tonks, your aunt, laughed and held her hand out for the tablet, you leaning over with it and placing it in her hand “that’s no problem if you can't decide right now, there's no rush since your wedding isn’t till…have you decided when you’ll get married?” you paused at her question and shrugged, you honestly didn’t remember if you and Harry had decided on a date, almost everything was ready and set.
The place, the décor, the flowers, the bridesmaids, groomsmen, junior bridesmaids, and groomsmen all chosen, their clothes and accessories ready to be of use. the flower girls were chosen and their clothes ready, the place where you would have the reception at was chosen, the food at the reception was chosen, who was going to marry you and Harry (FG offered to marry the two of you, being the one to originally separate you she wanted to officially bind you together as an apology), who was going to give you away (your aunt), the archway you were going to be married under was designed, Evie said your dress and Harrys suit was ready, the guest list was long since completed, all that was left to do was chose the cake design and decide the time and day to get married really.
“not sure yet, I’ll ask Harry the next time we talk about wedding stuff” you smiled as Tonks gave you a grin and flipped through her cake designs again.
“im sure you’ll pick the best day, now pick a cake” she slid the tablet back over to you. You picked it up and scrolled through the designs again.
You finally decided on the four-tiered cake with white fondant and silver piping designs, with black borders and red roses swirling from the top to the bottom. “great choice, now I think you have a final dress fitting to get to~” Tonks teased, standing to give you a hug and waving you off as you walked into the back to go through a portal to the descendant's universe.
You stuck your key into the storage room door lock and turned it, the portal opening behind the closed door. You swung it open and stepped into the shimmering light portal.
A moment later you stepped out into Evie's starter castle, calling out to her to let her know you were there “Evie!! Im here!” you heard her call back to you from the greenhouse turned office and you made your way over to her. “so I heard that my dress is ready?” Evie spun in her chair, facing away from the light purple dress she was working on, and nodded with a bright grin.
“All ready! Harry's suit is done too but I’ll have him come by later, try it on!” she dashed over to one of her movable dress wracks and plucked a gorgeous white dress with billowy sheen sleeves, a plunging sweetheart neckline, and a long sheer train that flowed from the back. “here you go! Now go go! I want to see the finished product on you!” she squealed, jumping in excitement as you took the dress and went to go change behind the changing screen Evie had installed a while ago for her costumers that came personally to her office.
It took a minute or two to get into the dress, with all the fabric but it was pretty easy to figure out how to put it on. Finally, you zipped up the back and picked up the skirt, and stepped out from behind the changing screen.
Evie gasped and clapped erratically “O M G it's perfect~!!! You look so amazing!!!” you let out a small laugh and let Evie lead you to her standing mirror, gasping at your reflection.
(yes im showing the design again im so damn proud of this dress i want it for my own wedding if i ever have one)
It was exactly the way you had designed it, from the small gems decorating your neckline to the white sapphire waist overlay “Evie, it's perfect” your voice cracked, pure happiness overwhelming you “it’s exactly what I wanted, and dreamed of”
“thank you so much for trusting me with it (y/n), and it's beautiful because you designed it too, you have an amazing eye for fashion” Evie giggled, holding onto your shoulders and smiling at you in the reflection of the mirror. “you are going to take Harry's breath away on your wedding day”
You laughed again, wiping the tears from your eyes and turning, wrapping your arms around Evie and hugging her tightly “thank you so much Evie” she hummed and hugged you back.
“you’re welcome (y/n), it’s the least I could do for all I've done” you raised your brow and leaned back, about to ask her what she meant before you remembered she had helped Mal kidnap you to have FG transport you back to your world.
“Still, thank you” you patted her arm, twirling back around and admiring the dress again. “I love it so much.”
“im glad” Evie sang, walking back over to her desk and continuing on the dress she had paused working on when you walked “so is everything almost done?”
“yep” you chirped, spinning and grinning to yourself as the skirt and train flared around you. “it’s all done actually, all that’s left is for Harry to try on his suit and for us to pick a day and time”
“oh, the archway is finished?” Evie asked, looking over her shoulder at you. The archway that you and Harry would be married under would be installed on your new ship for your wedding, but you and Harry had gone through a billion designs before finding the perfect one, and it had just been finished building and all it needed were its white and red roses decorating the main top boards.
“yep, Harry and I approved the final work two nights ago, we’re basically ready to get married at any point now” you turned and walked back over to the changing screen, unzipping the dress and letting it fall down your arms. “again, just need to pick a day”
Evie clapped her hands in glee “oooh I so excited, honestly, I think im more excited for this than I am Mal and Ben's wedding” you laughed loudly at that.
“Really?” you tilted your head out of the screen, raising your brow at Evie “why?”
“I don’t know” Evie sighed “something about it being more…private? And it’s really just going to be personal friends and family with some extra people, right? it just feels a bit more intimate than their wedding which is going to be broadcasted across Auradon”
You hummed, yeah you were glad you didn’t have to deal with all that for your wedding, and your wedding, hopefully, also would have Carlos actually there, he had mentioned that the day of Mal and Bens wedding was the day of his very important-you can't miss it or you’ll fail the entire year-finals test for veterinary school.
Ben and Mal had tried to reschedule their wedding so Carlos could attend but unfortunately, everything was all set and both were unable to move the date. They promised they would have either Jay or Doug record everything for him so he could at least see the wedding “personally” instead of on the news, he would be there for the reception but he would be missing the ceremony.
“what month are you thinking for it?” Evie wondered aloud, the hum of her sewing machine overpowering her voice a bit.
“im thinking either late spring or early summer? So May or June. I don’t want it to be cold as all hell but I don’t want it to be so warm everyone's sweating?” you shrugged on your shirt and zipped up your boots, stepping back out into the main area of Evie’s office with your dress in your arms “honestly I dunno, I’ll talk to Harry tonight about it, we're having dinner at my place.”
Evie nodded at that and stood, taking your dress and hanging it back up on her rack. “awesome, welp, we’re all done here! So” she waved her hands at you as if casting a spell “why don’t you get back to…whatever you were doing or needed to do after you were done with this” you laughed and nodded, spinning on your heel and walking out of Evie's office, waving her goodbye as you stepped out into her kitchen.
“kay, bye Evie!”
“bye!”
-
A couple of hours later and you were in your kitchen stirring up the mashed potatoes as Harry checked on the tri-tip. “think it's ready yet?” Harry turned to you, nodding his head at the oven.
“just check it with the meat thermometer, if it's 145 degrees it's ready” Harry nodded, putting on some oven mitts and taking out the tri-tip, sticking the meat thermometer in, and grinning.
“145, we’re ready” you nodded and turned off the heat for the gravy, and uncovered the cheese biscuits.
“Okay, ill cut it up and you can take the veggies out of the microwave and pour ‘em in the bowl thing”
You grabbed a carving knife and a large fork, transferring the tri-tip to a cutting board and slicing it up. You worked in comfortable silence to finish your prep for dinner, the only heard was your knife against the meat and cutting board and the soft music playing on Harry’s Bluetooth.
“ready!” Harry called, getting out two plates and setting them on the counter, walking over to you and kissing your cheek “thank yeh for helping me make this darling”
“you’re welcome Harry” you hummed, setting down the knife and fork and walking around Harry to get to the plates “plate up! And let's eat!”
After filling your plates with tri-tip, mashed potatoes and gravy, cheese biscuits, and corn, your dinner was ready to eat. You and Harry sat down at the counter/kitchen window and clinked your sodas before digging in, Harry dancing in his seat a bit as he bit into his food.
“good?” Harry just hummed happily, and nodded, picking up his biscuit and bobbing his head as he bit into it. “good.” You laughed slightly and dug into your own food, humming as you bit into the tri-tip “good job on the tri-tip, it’s fucking bomb” Harry grinned and his ears turned red.
“Thank yeh, Uma taught me how ta season steak a bit after the barrier came down.” You laughed again and pulled out your phone to text Uma.
“well she's a damn good teacher, it’s fucking bomb” you sent a quick text to Uma telling her that she needed to teach harry more cooking stuff and she sent back a wink and a thumbs up.
“soooo” you and Harry spoke in unison, stopping to look at each other and laughing “okay okay” you waved your hands around “me first” Harry laughed a bit and nodded, leaning on his fist and watching you “so, twice today I've been asked when we’re getting married and-I realized I don’t remember if we talked about it, like, at all” Harry snorted.
“aye, Evie, Uma, an’ CJ asked meh the same thing, and yeah we’ve…never talked about when we want ta get married” you and Harry shared an ‘oh shit’ smile and you shook your head.
“well, when Evie asked me about it the first thought that came to my head was early summer or late spring, so like, May or June?” harry hummed and tapped the counter with his fingers.
“huh, May actually sounds good, um, weekend or weekday?” you lifted your feet and rested them on the sideways beams of Harry's stool.
“mmm, weekend? Mostly everyone will be free on the weekends” Harry nodded, and took another bite of mashed potatoes “maybe a Saturday?”
“sounds good” Harry mumbled through his food, swallowing it and taking out his phone, opening his calendar and scrolling up to May “um, so we have the 1st, 8th, 15th,22nd, and the 29th for Saturday’s”
You leaned closer to Harry and set your chin on his shoulder, examining the calendar on his phone “how bout the 22nd? That way it’s not too soon for anyone's schedule and not the direct end of the month” Harry smiled and nodded in agreement.
“that’s perfect, May 22nd it is, that’s when we'll get married” Harry pressed a kiss to your forehead “I can't wait for that day, my love”
“I can't wait either, I tried on my finished dress today and I just wanted to show you immediately, it's so dang pretty~!” you squealed, grinning as Harry chuckled at your enthusiasm.
“and I can't wait ta see you wearing it, I can’t wait ta see yeh walk down the aisle towards me and I can't wait ta call yeh meh wife” you forced down the burning in your nose and eyes and wrapped your arms around Harry, burying your face in his shoulder. “and I can't wait to call you my husband, and love you for the rest of my life” Harry hugged you back tightly, pulling you into his lap and pressing his cheek to the side of your head.
“I love you so much (y/n)”
“I love you too Harry”
-
“finally! I was wondering when you two were going to pick a date, I've kept my calendar open just in case you two decided to say ‘fuck it’ and get married on a whim.” Uma waved her hands about as she ranted, and you hid your smile behind your glass and took a sip of your (drink)
“Yeah, guess we can also finally print those invitations now too” Uma hummed at that and set her cup down, tilting her head at you.
“well, the guest list is all done, right? So it won't be that much to do” you shook your head and took another sip of your (drink).
“Nope, just the design, and then printing, and everything will be ready to go, Harry and I already called Ben about using his private docks for the wedding because that’s where our ship is and he’s all for it” Uma nodded, moving forward on the table and resting her chin in her palm.
“so, next month, you and Harry get married~” you giggled in excitement and danced in your seat a bit.
“yep, hard to believe it's been almost a year since we got engaged, I feel like it's only been a month” you wished wistfully, a dreamy smile on your face “when I arrived on the isle, I never thought that Harry and I would even meet, then all of a sudden I was a part of your crew.” You and Uma shared a reminiscent smile, it had happened oh so long ago, all the way back in 2017 after D2 had released, and now it was 2021 and you were engaged to Harry freaking Hook, Uma was one of your best friends, Gil the other best friend, and you could travel from your world to the descendant's world.
It was like a dream come true, and if it was just a dream?
You hoped you would never wake up.
-end of part 23-
I know these wedding planning parts are lowkey kinda boring but really im just trying to set up the wedding part(s) (if it seems like im dragging everything out pls tell me, I don’t want to bore yall)XD which is soon! It'll probably be posted on May 22nd and considering I've been posting like, once a month (im sorry lol), the next chapter may possibly be the wedding chapter but IDK~!!! But anyway thank you all for reading my dumb Harry Hook x reader that I started back in 2018 so it been like, more than two years since I posted the first part and for some reason yall liked it and asked for more??? Which like, my writing fucking sucked back then, so why the fuck did yall like it? XD
Anyway, just saying again that I will be making rewrites of part of your world and reprise, encore I’ll leave alone since I think it has okay writing, I might re-edit the first couple parts if I cringe enough at em but otherwise, encore will be left alone while the first two parts of the series will get rewritten. I will leave the original versions up but again, new versions coming after I finish encore.
Thank you! - R.Sparrow

100 Days of Headcanons (Jaylos and/or Malvie)
Day 20 - First Kiss (Jaylos)
I have to give @just-a-glittery-fan credit for this idea I’m expanding on - they wrote an adorable Christmas exchange story for me and I absolutely love the Christmas-y first kiss version in it for Jay and Carlos. It’s perfect for them. So I made a little Christmas-y idea of my own!
That fic is here if you want to read it!
Jay and Carlos’ first kiss comes as a total surprise - to both of them. And even more surprising - the initiator of the kiss is shy, reserved Carlos.
Not that the kiss wasn’t a long-time coming, though. Both Jay and Carlos had been developing feelings for the other for a while, but neither of them were truly sure if the other felt the same. And the potential of ruining their friendship was enough to scare them away, keeping them from acting on the romantic feelings they had been actively suppressing for so long.
That is, until Christmas in Auradon.
The holiday was completely unlike anything the VKs had ever experienced, each moment full of fun, celebrations, gift giving and expressions of love. It was very easy to get swept up in the emotions of the season, and that’s exactly what happened to Carlos.
One of the cheekier traditions they had learned about was mistletoe. Though it seemed weird to have to kiss someone just because they were standing under a bunch of leaves, they both ended up having fun with it, playfully offering cheek kisses to each other, Mal, Evie, Jane, Lonnie, Doug, and even Ben a few times. They eventually turned it into a challenge, to see who could kiss the most people under the mistletoe.
A couple of days after Christmas, Jay encountered a stray mistletoe right outside of their dorm. Evie was in charge of the Auradon Prep cleanup crew and had already done a mad sweep of the halls the day before, so Jay decided to be a good friend and take it down to ensure her cleanup was a success.
Carlos came back just in time to catch Jay standing underneath the plant, and instinctively took the opportunity to add another kiss to his tally. However, things didn’t go exactly as planned when he ended up diving in and kissing Jay firmly on the lips, letting it linger a few seconds longer than what could be considered friendly.
While Carlos could have tried laughing it off as a joke, he was too shocked to do anything other than stare at Jay in wide-eyed horror before bolting, leaving Jay speechless and more than a little surprised, and also inwardly freaking out in a very good way at Carlos’ slip-up.
Jay eventually finds Carlos to talk about the kiss, which leads to dual confessions and happy discoverings of their shared feelings. And not long after that they officially start dating.
It turns into a repeated joke that Jay makes every year after about Carlos’ kiss being the best Christmas gift he’s ever received, with Carlos moaning about how cheesy Jay is every time he brings it up.

Love Finds Away
(sequel to “see You Again) ( A Harry Hook x reader story)
Part 10
When the dresses were all delivered and Evie Hadley and Ruby were ready, they headed down to the docks.
The whole way there Hadley couldn't stop staring at the Isle, only hoping that he felt the same way she did. She toyed with her necklace, not having the guts to take it off, but this time instead of tucking it away from view, she let it dangle over the top of her dress. Evie and Ruby both noticed her sullen look and shared a glance themselves.
Making their way up the docks, music and lights were blaring, causing Hadley to squint until her eyes adjusted. A blue velvet carpet lined the entire dock, leading to the massive yacht that cotillion was being held on.
The blue carpet was lined with press from start to finish. Hadley put on a fake smile as they stepped up the camera flashes momentarily blinding her.
Evie, being the natural when it comes to this sort of thing, took the lead with Doug, who had joined them at some point.
Hadley stood back allowing Evie to answer the questions being thrown their way. Just before they reached the ship they stopped in front of a group of reporters
"Evie! Hadley! You both look gorgeous tonight!"
"Did you design the hair accessories and Hadleys arm band?"
"No actually." Evie started touching the clip in her hair. " All of the accessories tonight were made by a very special person, Miss Dizzy of the Isle" Evie smiled into the camera knowing Dizzy would be watching for them.
They moved on after answering a few more questions.
Stepping onto the boat the music was louder and the main deck and upper deck were crowded with students dancing away.
Hadley found herself looking out at the isle. Which was in clear view from the side of the ship. She watched as the thunder and lighting rumbled.
Ruby linked arms with her startling her out of her gaze. She pulled Hadley to the middle with the others waiting for Mal to arrive.
Small chatter was exchanged until the guards along the stairs raised their trumpets to signal her arrival.
"The future Lady Mal" Lumiere proudly announced.
The whole deck erupted in applause as Mal stood at the top of the stairs.
Her once full ball gown dress was now cut into a high-low fashion, the front hem doned the same royal blue lace as the bodice and her shoes stood proud and tall. Her recently dyed purple hair was braided down the side and over her shoulder with tiny accents in between each weave.
She slowly made her way down the steps a look of pure terror on her face as everyone's eyes watched her every move.
Evie stepped forward to greet her at the bottom.
She took Mals hand and walked her to the center of the deck.
"How are you feeling?" Hadley asked as they reached them.
Mal gave a nervous smile.
" you know… kinda like.im going to throw up.."
The five chuckled lightly as the guards raised the trumpets again.
"King Benjamin" Lumiere announced as Ben made it to the top of the steps.
The whole ship thundered with applause as he made his way down the steps, rather quickly as Hadley observed.
Mal met him at the bottom smiling up at him, but his smile wasn't present.
"Mal, I really wish i had time to explain"
The spotlight shone at the top of the steps. There was a collective gasp from everyone on deck.
Ums stood at the top step in a beautiful teal mermaid style dress. Seashells and other sea accents adorned the frilly teal ruching. Her long braids had been carefully tied into a neat bun on the top of her head.
Ben smiled wide as Uma began walking down the stairs and jogged up the first few taking her hand and helping her down the rest of the stairs.
He stopped them at the last step and bowed to her kissing the gold ring that used to be on Mal's finger.
Uma giggled as he stood straight and took her hand leading her out to the center of the deck and right up to Mal.
Hadley completely droned out the conversation about Uma diving through the barrier and what not, claiming that she was in love with Ben and he with her.
When the two began dancing Mal curled into herself, hurt etched all over her features. Hadley rushed to Mals' side as did Evie. The two clung to her shoulders trying to comfort her. The boys huddled as well rubbing Mals arms.
"Ya know I'm not too thrilled I risked my life for him," Carlos said a little louder than the music playing.
Lonnie came up behind Mal holding Ruby's hand.
"We're with you Mal" Lonnie said as Ruby nodded.
Jay placed a hand on the small of Mals back and started leading her to the steps.
"Come on. Let's get outta here."
The others agreed following the two.
Just as they reached the bottom of the steps, Uma stopped dancing with Ben turing to the retreating vks.
"Hey, Hadley." Uma spoke over the music.
Hadley stopped when she heard her name, the rest following.
"What Uma?" Hadley nearly growled; in her anger Hadley's hair sparked and ignited.
"He feels the same way ya know."
Hadley's look of anger quickly morphed into one of confusion, her hair still holding a faint glow.
Uma smiled "But don't take my word for it."
Uma looked to the top of the staircase with a large smile. Hadley and the rest followed her gaze.
Hadley nearly stumbled holding on to Carlo's jacket to steady herself, her jaw dropping.
Everyone around the ship's deck was gasping and whispering. The other vks looked just as stunned as Hadley, looking from her to the top of the stairs.
Harry was nearly unrecognizable; his Isle clothes had been traded for a burgundy suit matching blazer and pants, white button up shirt and black vest. His usually out of control hair was neatly side swiped. Hadley noticed that he still had on his boots.
Harry's eyes, which still had a bit of eyeliner still around them, searched the group at the bottom before locking with Hadleys.
He made his way down the steps, the vks parting when he made it to them giving him a path to Hadley, but watching his every move. Lonnie put a hand on Jay's shoulder when he went to lunge.
Hadley took a step back when Harry reached her.
"Harry… what.. What are you doing here?" Hadley stuttered.
"I had ta know if it was true." He mumbled.
"If what was true?" Hadley asked.
"What ya said on the Isle, right before ya tossed me hook over the dock. When ya said ya.. ya love me… i need ta know if it was jus' a trick ta get away or if ya really mean it." Harry's eyes bore into hers. She thought she almost saw a tear. She could hear the people closest to her begin whispering wildy.
Out of the corner of her eye she noticed her friends starting to head up the stairs and saw Evie nod in her direction. Hadley placed a hand on his arm guiding them to a more secluded corner. Hadley looked at her hands as she dropped her arm, nervously twisting the rings around her fingers.
"It wasn't a trick Har, just really bad timing now that I think about it." Hadley let out a small breathy laugh. She could see Harry's shoulders drop slightly. "But it was never a trick." Hadley looked up at him. "It's true, I do love you. I've loved you for a long time; I just… never knew how to tell you." She looked down at her hands.
"I never wanted to risk losing you. You've been my best friend for a long time and you've never failed to make a day better." She looked up at him.
"Har, you're the one thing that has kept me going since I left." She let out a watery laugh, with tears welling in her eyes.
"I love you."
Harry cradled her jaw with his palm as his thumb gently glided across her cheek. Hadley closed her eyes leaning into it.
"Haddie… I … I love you too."
Hadley's heart nearly leapt out of her chest.
Harry ducked his head slowly bringing it closer to hers. He was close enough that she could still smell the sea and metal permeating from his jacket.
She sucked in a sharp breath just as his lips were about to collide with hers.
However…. Their moment was interrupted by a shriek coming from the deck.

such a fun and natural sight
Day 4 of @jayviesource’s 12 Days of Jayvie is Artists AU
You can check the previous days here
“A little bit to the left,” His voice was patient as she adjusted her movement, her head tilting slighty to follow his instruction.
“Perfect,” he nodded and Evie did her best not to chuckle. He was being too nice really but she did agree to be his model for his photography project. She didn’t mind posing for him in her leotard and leggings but when he first asked her about being his model, she expected a more… private setting for some reason.
In all honesty, she mostly accepted to help him so she would finally be able to tell him how much she wanted them to be more than friends.
Evie had known Jay for about three years now and had had a crush on him for about the same amount of time. The thing was, she was a flirt and everyone that had ever heard of her on campus knew that. But when it came to Jay, she didn’t know exactly what was preventing her from gathering her courage to simply tell him she wanted them to be more than friends.
Actually, she had tried to be subtle a few times but she had come to realise that Jay was more oblivious than any guy she had ever flirted with. It was a shame really knowing he was as much of a flirt as she was.
“Jay?” She asked softly. She was tired of beating around the bush with him. It was high time he knew how she felt and did something about it (hopefully).
The young man looked up from the screen of his camera to meet her eyes. Evie was silent for a moment, a lump appearing in her throat as his brown eyes bore into hers. She couldn’t do that, what if he didn’t reciprocate her feelings? They had been friends for a while now. Best friends even, if she dared thinking it. She had been dancing ever since she started kindergarten and even though Jay had begun photography in a club during his high school years, he had always had an eye for it. They met when Jay offered to be in charge of taking the pictures of the dancing classes to introduce the program to the new students. They got along right away, their banter easygoing and their vibrant personalities matching as if they had known each other since they were children. If she remembered correctly, it seemed that at the beginning of their relationship, Jay was interested in developing a more romantic relationship with her but she was dating at the time and when one of her dancer friend pointed it out to her it was too late, as Jay already had someone else on sight. It was as if they had been in a game of cat and mouse ever since, with one of them always in a relationship when the other wasn’t and vice versa.
But things were different now. For the first time since they had known each other, they were both romantically available: Jay had broken up with Audrey, a dancer from Evie’s group with which he’d had an on and off relationship for a few months and Evie was single ever since she caught Doug making doey eyes at Alicia, a girl from his drama class - she always wondered why her ex-boyfriend chose this career seeing as he was definitely more pragmatic than artistic - she had been mad at first but soon enough she realised it was for the best as their relationship had kind of felt like a burden from the beginning.
“Is there something wrong?” His voice brought her back to the present and she realised he had been waiting for her to say what was on her mind this whole time. She shook her head lightly.
“Sorry, I was-”
“Miles away, it seems,” Jay chuckled. He stood up and walked closer to her.
“A penny for your thoughts?” His signature smile made her heart melt. It was now or never.
“I was thinking that… maybe we could get a drink together after? If you aren’t busy of course.” She had started her sentence watching it but her courage was slowly fading as she went on and he kept looking at her, his eyebrows knitted in confusion. She averted her eyes at the end. Maybe this was a bad idea and she had been misreading all the signs from the beginning.
Evie heard Jay clearing his throat and she was dying to see the expression on his face but she was too scared to find disappointment or worse, disgust.
“Now I feel like a fool.” Jay’s voice was quieter than she'd ever heard it and as she raised her eyes to meet his, it was her turn to be confused.
“... I was the one who was supposed to ask you out first.” He chuckled, his broad smile lighting his face up.
Evie harrumphed as she crossed her arms over her chest.
“Well… I wouldn’t have had to if you’d taken the opportunity weeks ago,” she was teasing him of course but the relief she was feeling was almost overwhelming.
Jay gasped in mock outrage. “Oh so that’s how it went for
Jay had no idea how she would have ended her argument as he crashed his lips against her in a valiant effort to shut Evie up. Seeing as she immediately kissed him back and moaned when his tongue made contact with her lips, it was probably the best idea he’d had this day. At least that’s what he thought until he felt her hands pushing him away from her.
“Jay…” her eyes were still closed and she was licking her lips, which was a very distracting sight but the photographer did his best to focus on her words. Evie looked up at him, a look of mirth mixed with a hint of annoyance.
“Did you just kiss me to shut me up?” Jay couldn’t tell if she couldn’t believe him or if she wanted to kiss him again so he was not certain his next words wouldn’t ruin everything.
“Well you did just tell me that the ball was in my court so…” He shrugged and attempted to smile at her, even though he probably looked more confident than he actually was.
He had been wanting Evie ever since the day his eyes landed on hers. She was perfect. Talented, smart, interesting, and possibly the most beautiful girl he’d ever seen. And she was approachable. He had been a bit taken aback at first when they started to interact because he would have taken her as the popular “mean” girl. Looks could be disappointing. But in her case it was for the best. She had been the girl of his dreams but as soon as they started to be friends and hanging out together, Jay realised he was too much of a coward to try to ask her out and risk losing her friendship if she said no. He wasn’t an idiot (well, except when it came to Evie apparently) he knew his looks and attitude were attractive and he wasn’t afraid to use them but for some reason in his mind it had never worked on Evie. She was much too good for that. He just realised now that they may have been flirting all along but were both too dumb to realise it was more than a friendly game for both of them. Oh the fear of rejection… it made them waste quite a bit of time.
Evie smiled back at him, almost shyly. Jay cupped her cheek with his hand, his thumb grazing it softly.
“I’m sorry I was too much of a scaredy-cat to let you know how I felt from the beginning.”
Evie nodded.
“Well… if you hadn’t done anything today I would still have had one last plan.”
Jay’s eyebrow raised in question and Evie smirked back at him before putting her arms around his waist.
“Well Mister photographer, what do you say to a private photo shoot… in the nude?”
His gobsmacked expression was one for the ages and if it wasn’t for the rise and fall of his chest, she would have thought he was having a heart-attack. Evie really wanted to burst out laughing but she had her priorities straight and so she swiftly took the camera hanging around his neck to snap a few shots of his face while he was still recovering. She only managed the few though because as soon as he realised what she was doing, he reacted by trying to get his camera back. He started to tickle her sides so she would let go and as she finally cracked and began to giggle uncontrollably, he soon joined her hilarity.
“You minx! You’re going to be the death of me,” he stated as he finally got a hold of his device and they were slowly coming down from their high. She looked up at him, still proud of her deed and leaned forward to give him a long kiss. Jay’s hand came up to rest against the side of her neck as she deepened the kiss. When they finally broke apart, Evie gathered her stuff while Jay put away all his material too. As soon as they were done, Evie grabbed his hand so they could walk out hand in hand, towards her dorm.
“Speaking of death,” Evie began conversationally, “I wouldn’t mind experimenting “la petite mort” with you as soon as possible…”
Jay frowned at her for a moment, until he was struck by a flash of realisation at her words… he remembered the idiom from one of his literature classes. He could feel himself blushing as he let his mind wander towards that territory while Evie delightfully watched his micro-expressions. She laughed once again when he stopped abruptly to kiss her passionately, his tongue caressing hers teasingly, his right hand went down to grab her bum gently and Evie squeaked. She glared at his annoying smirk but his other hand was still holding hers and he didn’t waste time with more words as he dragged Evie towards her dorm.

The Genius in Individuality
Summary: When Mal speaks to her and Evie's Algebra teacher, she comes out of the room completely dejected, refusing to explain to Evie what had happened. Of course, Evie just has to get to the bottom of this, and she finds out something that breaks her heart. Mevie/Malvie best friend or sisterly feels.
“Mal, do you have a moment? I need to talk to you,” the teacher spoke, and Mal and Evie paused as they started out the door.
Evie and Mal were just leaving Algebra class, talking and cherishing each other’s company as usual. They had taken a test recently, and Evie was excitedly discussing all of the concepts they had covered as well as all of the new ones that they had studied today. Mal had mostly been quietly listening and Evie knew that the faerie was not nearly as enthused as Evie, but the bluenette still appreciated her willingness to listen.
They had actually begun to leave the classroom when Mr. Kurt suddenly called Mal.
Mal started to move toward the teacher, and Evie began to go with her, knowing that there were never any secrets between her and Mal. Also, they were currently holding hands and Evie was not about to let go of her best friend. But to her surprise, Mr. Kurt gave Mal a stern, strange look and the purple-haired girl suddenly stopped and turned to face her, a much too cheery smile on her face that was obviously quite forced as she held Evie’s hand.
“Hey, E, I’ll be out in just a sec. Why don’t you go wait by the door?” Mal suggested, and Evie immediately found herself quite perplexed. Evie knew very well that Mal did not ever want to speak to teachers alone. Anytime she had to talk to one, she would always drag Evie along, regardless of whether the teacher wanted the bluenette there or not.
“Okay… Are you sure?” Evie questioned concernedly, allowing her worry to show through.
“Yeah, I’ll be fine,” Mal reassured, but somehow Evie did not find the words comforting at all. Evie furrowed her brow before squeezing Mal’s hand gently.
“Alright,” Evie hesitantly replied and headed outside to wait on her sister.
As soon as she was outside, Evie leaned against the wall, wondering what the teacher could possibly want with Mal. Moreover, why in the world would Mal all but tell her to go outside? It was such a strange situation, and Evie was eager for the younger girl to exit the room.
After what felt like an agonizingly wait, Mal finally joined Evie. Evie immediately moved toward her, resisting her initial urge to press her forehead against Mal’s and force her to tell her everything. Instead, she reached out, touching Mal’s arm and tilting her head slightly.
She swiftly noticed that Mal’s face was very much guarded, which made Evie’s stomach flip in anxiety and worry.
“What did he say?” Evie asked curiously, and Mal instantly forced a slight smile. However, Evie could see the despair and injury hidden deeply in the other girl’s eyes as she tried to keep a brave face. To the average person, Mal looked perfectly normal, but to Evie, the person who knew her better than anyone in the entire world, Mal did not look happy at all.
“Nothing really. Just some yammering about some extra homework for practice, y’know,” Mal dismissively spoke before proceeding to talk about her most recent dabbling in charcoal in her art class.
Evie outwardly was attentive to Mal’s words, but inside, she found herself quite upset indeed. Why was Mal so determined to keep her conversation private?
………………………………………………………………………………………………………
“Hey, M,” Evie greeted, and Mal just offered a small two-fingered wave from her hand’s grip on the sketchbook before her as she focused entirely on the drawing pad before her. Evie furrowed her brow a little, immediately noticing the difference in her best friend. Usually, Mal would have smiled at least somewhat when waving or she would have looked up.
Of course, she was already curious about Mal since the girl had seemed so eager to usher Evie out the door so she could talk to the teacher on her own. And Evie had been extremely worried and confused when Mal just blew off her concerns earlier when she had left the room.
Evie put her purse down nearby, preparing herself to move in for the kill. Evie proceeded to head over to Mal’s bed where she was currently lying. Without any hesitation whatsoever, Evie just sat down there. However, Mal hardly reacted to Evie’s presence. Evie wasted no time in lying down on the bed and scooting over next to Mal, resting her head on Mal’s shoulder as she watched her work her magic on the page.
She was working with charcoal today, and to Evie’s complete and utter surprise, Mal seemed to be drawing the bluenette. It was absolutely gorgeous so far, despite the fact that Mal had not finished it yet. Of course, there was no guarantee that it was Evie, but the fact that Mal had just the slightest softness of her features as she worked—one of soft looks reserved just for Evie— told Evie all she needed to know.
Still, the slightly older girl was going to ask what Mal was drawing. If for nothing else, it would be a good conversation-starter. And then she could start prying further into Mal’s guardedness.
“Whatcha drawing?” Evie questioned sweetly, pressing her head against Mal’s as she snuggled closer.
“You,” Mal honestly replied, not hiding anything. At least, not hiding anything that was to do with her drawing. Evie smiled in spite of herself, unable to keep her heart from swelling with affection despite her concern about Mal.
Evie turned her head, kissing Mal’s cheek before snuggling back against her. There was a pleasant moment of quiet, Mal just quietly working the page. Evie did not let this silence last for too long, however.
“So… Now that we’ve got time… What did Mr. Kurt give you for extra practice? Anything I can help with?” Evie asked, feigning as much innocence and nonchalance as she could possibly infuse her voice with. Mal immediately stiffened, and Evie could feel the chase begin as she silently prepared herself for a battle with Mal and her stubbornness.
“It’s nothing really.”
“C’mon. Was it polynomials? I’m great with those,” Evie helpfully supplied, smiling sweetly as she tried to poke the answer out of Mal. To her surprise, Mal did not even react to Evie’s joking cockiness with that typical roll of her eyes and that slight grin.
“No, like I said, it’s nothing,” Mal insisted, but Evie was not about to give up before she could get the answer out of her sister.
“Synthetic division? Maybe the binomial theorem?”
“E, just drop it, okay?” Mal told her firmly, and Evie shook her head, moving her head so that she could look at Mal.
“Why? I just want to help,” Evie persisted, and she could feel Mal’s body growing a little hotter as she grew more agitated with the situation. It was one of those usual side-effects of having dragon blood.
“There’s nothing you can do, okay?” Mal answered dismissively, and Evie huffed in confusion, furrowing her brow and tilting her head.
“How’s that?” Evie questioned, applying her own stubborn side to the conversation.
“Evie, it’s not that simple,” Mal informed her, and Evie could hear the irritation rising in her voice to the point that the girl was borderline angry. Despite the fact that Evie hated to aggravate Mal, she still felt that it was necessary to get the answer out of her since Mal seemed so upset. Plus, she was hiding something, and she never hid anything from Evie unless something was wrong.
“I promise I can help with whatever you need, M. I’m sure it’s not that hard, and—”
“I’m failing math, E!” Mal snapped, her eyes flashing a bit of that green glow before she swiftly regained control of herself. She sat up swiftly, moving the sketchbook over to the side of the bed as she crossed her arms over her chest and closed in on herself.
Evie’s eyes were wide as she just gaped at the younger girl. She had absolutely no idea that the issue ran this deep and that Mal could have possibly been failing math. Evie knew that Mal had issues in school a lot of times and especially in the area of math, but she never would have guessed that the girl was failing.
“Is that what he wanted to talk to you about?” Evie questioned, completely dumbfounded as she stared at the back of Mal’s head. Mal nodded wordlessly, and Evie looked down at the mattress, still trying to process this information.
She could see the stiffness in Mal’s shoulders as she sat there on the side of the bed. Evie indulged in only a moment of hesitation before moving forward and huffing Mal from behind and resting her chin on Mal’s shoulder.
“M… Why didn’t you tell me?” Evie asked softly, and she felt Mal exhale long and hard before actually speaking up and answering her.
“I didn’t want you to think I’m stupid,” Mal replied in that typical brutally honest manner as she refused to look in Evie’s direction. Evie furrowed her brow.
“I’d never think you were stupid. You know that, don’t you?” Evie questioned, and Mal just shrugged with a slight smile of bitterness.
“Everyone else does. I wouldn’t blame you if you thought so,” Mal replied simply, and Evie felt a thousand knives stab into her heart with those words. It absolutely broke her heart more than anything to hear her most favorite person in the entire world utter that statement. Evie could not imagine who in the world would think Mal was stupid.
“Who?” Evie pushed the word from her throat, feeling a lump grow in it as she spoke. All she wanted to do right now was squeeze Mal and never let her go.
“Mr. Kurt, Audrey, Doug, and all the nerds,” Mal named off, and Evie felt a red rage rising within her heart as she clenched her teeth despite her mother’s teachings against the action. Of course, at this moment, Evie was more focused on wanting to choke Doug and kill him before going and reporting Mr. Kurt to Fairy Godmother.
“Did they say you were?” Evie asked, trying to understand the situation fully despite the fact that she was not sure her heart could take it.
“Mr. Kurt recommended an evaluation to see if I could get some sort of special placement because, and I quote, ‘Not everyone can keep up with the rigors of advanced math,’” Mal told her, and Evie could hear the slight wobble in her voice as the girl repeated the words. Evie sighed deeply, trying to keep her anger at bay as she just held Mal tightly.
“And as you know, Audrey has said I’m stupid plenty of times… I’ve heard Doug and his disgusting nerd friends talking about how I was dangerous but especially dangerous since I was easily provokable and seemingly unable of understanding things in the way that they actually are. Oh, and I’m your pint-sized fighting rooster, too,” Mal informed her, and Evie felt a renewed infuriation fill her every muscle as she tried her best to resist the urge to go and find Doug and the rest of the nerds and throttle every one of them.
However, right now, she needed to worry about Mal, so she did her best to put aside all of her animosity, ill-will, and murderous whims in favor of comforting the faerie.
“Look, M… Mr. Kurt doesn’t know what he’s talking about,” Evie decided to settle on the first of the offenders that Mal had brought up.
“He’s the teacher, E. He must know,” Mal sadly pointed out, and Evie shook her head.
“Mal, sometimes people in charge don’t know what they’re talking about. Just because they have some kind of degree? That doesn’t mean that they’re geniuses,” Evie assured her, pulling away a little so that she could sit on the edge of the bed with Mal.
“Remember, people can get degrees when they’re earning barely above passing,” Evie told the girl, and Mal just gazed at her sadly, listening to her words.
“And moreover, Audrey, Doug, and the nerds don’t count. Audrey is a brat and Doug is a pathetic little weirdo. And the rest of the nerds are just yes-men to their ridiculous nerd king,” Evie explained, and allowed herself a proud grin as she managed to pull a small laugh from Mal in response to her statement. But her smile sunk to nothing when Mal descended into her unhappiness once again.
“So you’re not stupid, M. Not at all,” Evie told her firmly, reaching her hand up to Mal’s face and cupping the younger girl’s cheek. Mal leaned into it a little, but she still did not seem to be too reassured.
“What’s so hard about the math?” Evie asked, her voice coming out softly as she addressed the younger girl with as much love as she could manage.
“I don’t get it. I can’t learn it like everyone else,” Mal responded, and Evie just tilted her head as she let her hand fall from Mal’s face.
“Huh,” Evie trailed off, considering all of the many paths that Mal could take to learn math. There were quite a few indeed.
“I’m just stupid in math, E,” Mal stated in a matter-of-fact tone, and Evie felt a whine of protest building up in her throat as soon as Mal spoke.
“You are not stupid. You think differently!” Evie replied, and Mal just chuckled humorlessly, shaking her head.
“Yeah. Not the normal people way,” Mal informed her, looking at Evie in pure dejection as she dwelled increasingly upon her failures. Evie shook her head.
“Mal,” Evie huffed with some aggravation in her tone, irritated at the fact that she could not get it through Mal’s head her own worth. Evie knew how smart that her best friend was. Mal just needed to have confidence in herself. Also, it did not help that the teachers here were not willing to bend from the typical curriculum in order to give Mal the new pathway that she needed.
“A different way does not mean you’re stupid. Carlos thinks differently. Does that mean he’s stupid?” Evie inquired, and Mal wasted no time in shaking her head quickly, a shocked look on her face at the mere thought of the idea. Evie knew that she would get Mal’s attention with that statement, and she allowed a smile to pull at the corners of her lips at Mal’s response. Evie just might win this battle indeed.
“Well, of course not! But he actually succeeds in school, E. There’s a bit of a difference,” Mal admitted, and Evie shook her head, grabbing Mal’s face in her hands and looking into her eyes.
“The only difference is that he has figured out a pathway that works for him. Me and you just need to figure out a pathway that works for you, M,” Evie explained, stroking Mal’s cheeks with her thumbs as she searched the younger girl’s green eyes.
“Everyone thinks differently, Mal. But it’s the truly special and amazing people that don’t learn the mainstream way,” Evie told her carefully, her nose touching Mal’s as she spoke to her softly. Mal just stared at her for a long moment, that normally so mischievous gaze filled with an uncharacteristic mellowness.
“Huh. I guess that explains why you taught yourself everything you know,” Mal stated, raising an eyebrow with a slight smile that did not quite reach her eyes as she so blatantly complimented Evie. Evie just chuckled a bit, moving away but not before kissing Mal’s nose affectionately.
“Which means I can definitely teach you a way to learn everything I know because you are one of the most extraordinary people I’ve ever met,” Evie assured her, and she saw Mal brighten ever so slightly with the praise, despite the fact that she still had the remnants of sadness lingering.
Evie sighed deeply before pushing a grin on her face.
“Alright… What do you say that we go and get ice cream, and then come back here and see what we can figure out? We’ve got a whole weekend ahead of us, M, and I’m completely sure that you can learn everything you need to know before the quiz on Monday,” Evie told her, standing up and reaching both hands out to Mal.
Mal looked at her for a long moment before suddenly smiling a true smile for the first time that day after the meeting with the teacher. She took Evie’s hands and allowed her to pull her to her feet.
“I’d like that.”
………………………………………………………………………………………………………
“Mal, can I talk to you?” Mr. Kurt asked, and Mal stopped next to Evie just before they left the classroom. Mal and Evie shared a glance and Mal squeezed Evie’s hand firmly, giving her a nod. Evie looked at her in some concern, but Mal shook her head. Evie just gave her one long last look before heading out the door to wait on the faerie.
Mal took a deep breath and headed toward the desk.
“Yes?”
“Well… I checked your quiz before everyone else’s,” he spoke, looking over the paper, and Mal swallowed back a snippy, sarcastic response about how he was being horribly biased about her and wanting her to fail. He looked quite surprised as he gazed at the quiz, and Mal mentally crossed her fingers and hoped for the best.
“And… I have no idea how you showed so much improvement in such a short amount of time,” he spoke, offering Mal the paper. She looked it over and to her complete surprise, there was a bright red one hundred on the top-left-hand corner of the paper.
Mal held back her smile as she just looked at the teacher, unimpressed.
“Why? Because ‘not everyone can keep up with the rigors of advanced math?’” Mal questioned, and the man suddenly looked quite sheepish and rather ashamed.
“I will have you know that I’m not everyone, sir. I’ll never be like everyone. And unlike you, my best friend knew that and was willing to work with me and teach me some special ways to get answers that I understand. Which is kind of funny considering that’s supposed to be your job,” Mal informed him bluntly, and he blinked in surprise, just staring at the faerie in pure shock. Mal smiled slightly, giving him a onceover as she leaned toward him a little.
“So feel free to forward your paycheck to her account, ‘kay?” Mal told him, a grin tugging at the corner of her lips as she straightened and started out the door, her quiz paper in her hand. She paused just by the door, unable to keep the giant smirk from her face as her eyes lit up in that infamous lime green.
“Have a nice day,” Mal wished before heading out the door.
Evie was there as soon as she got out the door, and she could not hide the huge, cocky smile as she held up the paper and showed it off to Evie. Evie’s face lit up with her pure enthusiasm at Mal’s success, that one-thousand-watt grin spreading across her face like a bright beacon of love as she rushed forward to hug Mal.
“Mal!!! I knew you could do it!” Evie excitedly proclaimed, squeezing Mal tightly with a little squeal of happiness. Mal enjoyed the hug for a moment before pulling away so she could look Evie in the eyes.
“I couldn’t have done it without you, E. Thank you for believing in me,” Mal expressed, offering Evie that smile that was only ever directed at the bluenette. Evie’s giant grin softened as she moved her head to the side slightly, looking at Mal with what could only be described as pure adoration in her eyes.
“You’re welcome, M.”

Lost on you - chapter 4
Uma was in the ocean. By the seven seas, she loved the feel of the water covering her, her extended tentacles and her hair floating free. She felt more powerful than ever, the freest and happiest person on the world. The water was clear, and Uma could see corals, a stingray swam past her and pulled herself off to follow it. She felt a tug on her neck. Uma looked down, frowning, and noticed her necklace shining brightly. It seemed to want to tell her to swim faster, to get away from there. Then she saw a large shadow approaching with speed. It was very late when she realized that it was her mother. She began to swim quickly and agilely, wondering if she could escape, if she would find a way to get back to dry land before she reached her. "Ungrateful stupid, come here!" Ursula growled, "you have something that belongs to me!" Uma held the necklace tightly in one hand, continuing to swim, until she felt a hand grasp one of her tentacles. Another of her tentacles whipped the hand, but Ursula did not flinch. She was so much bigger than Uma, she grabbed her by the shoulders and tried to snatch the necklace from her. Finally, Uma felt her cord being ripped from her neck and her mother smiled triumphantly. And suddenly she was drowning. It was not possible. She could breathe underwater; she was a sea creature. What was happening? The water flooded her lungs, suffocating her, pulling her down, and as her vision blurred, she heard Ursula's hideous laugh. "Hey Uma, it's okay, it's okay!" Harry's soft voice enveloped her the moment she woke up. Uma struggled for breath, still feeling the water inside her lungs, her chest hurt, and she was having a panic attack. She clung to Harry and let sobbing sounds roll out of her throat and drift into the boy's skin. Uma felt Harry's hand stroke her hair. She was fine, she was in Auradon. “It was just a nightmare, lass. You'll be fine." And Uma believed him because she had never had reason to mistrust Harry. After that she didn't want to go back to sleep. Harry and she saw the starry night and witnessed the wonderful spectrum of colors that were painted in the arch of heaven as it dawned.
"I heard that you are going to train your crew this afternoon," Jay's voice snapped Uma out of her reveries. They were at lunch, the tray full of food in front of her. Those nightmares were starting to wear her down. She couldn't help but feel uneasy at the prospect that her mother was looking for her. Or maybe they were just dreams brought on by her past and that was it. It could be that Úrsula was far, very far; after all, she had never cared much for Uma. She didn't think she wanted to know about her now that they were free. "Did Gil tell you?" She asked, looking for her friend. She was next to Harry and they both had that mischievous look that they had every time they planned a prank or something. "No, Aziz actually told me," Jay replied, "and from what I see, the rumor has already spread throughout the school." Uma sighed. "A pirate does not stop being a pirate." “So… I want to ask your permission to take the team to observe. They have improved a lot, but I would like them to see your crew, so they may find a bit of their inner toughness. " Uma laughed, a lively laugh that caught Harry's attention without her even noticing. Gil had to punch his arm so he could remember how to breathe. "The little princes learning from the pirates? That would be interesting. Fine". Bonny and Desiree approached the table with the lunch trays in their hands. Instead of wearing some of the things that Auradon (and Evie) had provided them, they wore their pirate clothes, said “good morning” to Uma with smiles on their faces and she could tell they were happy. She looked around the table, realizing for the first time that everyone looked different today. She might not have noticed it because she was thinking about Ursula, but her crew was more like the old crew that hung out at the Chip Shoppe. Gil and Harry planned mischief, Bonny and Desiree looked like strong and confident girls, Gonzo and Jonas played cards. A feeling of pride washed over her. This was what she had fought for, which was why it was worth being outside the barrier for so long. Seeing her people being able to be themselves, happy. She had to behave at the level of a captain. "Okay," she said aloud, drawing her people's attention. "Let's make this lunch interesting, do any of you have dice?" That seemed to cheer them up even more. Uma knew they loved to play dice, they often did it when they were lounging around the Chip Shoppe while she waited tables. Back then, Uma used to watch over them without their noticing, always on the lookout for any argument or fight to break out, although she knew that Harry could control them. She couldn't stop taking care of her people. Gonzo pulled dice from his pockets and they all gathered closer together at the table, laughing, cheering, and gambling. They hadn´t a lot of money, but they could gamble on things like doing someone's homework for two weeks, the two-day dessert slice, or their crew duty shift. This time, Uma didn't look from afar, but instead she joined them, playing fiercely. She blushed when she beat Harry, and everyone demanded the award to be some kisses. Uma knew they were happy to see them together, so she indulged them, much to the delight of the crew. Laughter rang out as Harry took a few seconds to breathe again and Uma swore she could see Gonzo's hand reluctantly depositing a bill in Desiree's hand. On the Island, Uma had once cured each of them, fed them and tried to clothe and protect them. Her crew was not, as many believed, just a group of guys running her errands. They were her siblings, they were her family.
Uma felt the force of her title of captain run through her the minute she touched the hilt of the sword. It wasn't her own sword, and it had a kind of point that couldn't hurt a fly, but it felt good after all this time. It was as if a part of herself came back. "Feels good, huh?" She asked aloud, knowing that Harry was behind her. When Uma held a sword, it was as if her senses were heightened to the maximum. Harry leaned closer and Uma felt a shiver of pleasure run through her as he bent his head and kissed the curve of her neck. Her skin burned where Harry's lips touched it. "No better than this," answered her first mate. Uma bit back a groan that would have been totally inappropriate and turned, sword in hand, to face Harry. For a second, they held their gaze. Desire, love, devotion, that was what Uma found in his eyes. Harry saw the same feelings in her gaze. And suddenly her gaze became playful, provocative, and impetuous, and Harry managed to stop the blow she launched with her sword. Uma didn't stop, she led him to the center of the amphitheater. Practice had begun, but none of the other pirates raised a sword. The captain and the first mate always met first, it was their tradition.
Harry recovered, and suddenly nothing else in the world mattered. It was just him and Uma, slashing, dodging, attacking fiercely, their breaths racing, the sound of metal colliding with metal. Uma had that typhoon in her eyes that made her unpredictable, erratic, and dangerous as the sea, her turquoise hair moved behind her like waves, and she was slippery and agile like fish. This was who she was, a pirate, a sea witch, and Harry found himself overcome by her beauty and power. How could he be worthy of this goddess? He knew that if she asked him to throw his sword to his side and kneel in front of her, he would do so without a second of hesitation. Maybe there was something crazy in it, he always had that weakness, even on the Island, although he knew how to make the winds go in his favor, he gave him that air of madness that everyone had feared. Because no one could be crazy enough to show his deepest weakness on the Island, only him. Uma dodged another of her slashes and suddenly found her sword against his neck. She smiled, breathing hard. Their faces were so close, if she leaned a little more, he would kiss her... "What is my name?" She asked him. Harry melted completely, letting any survival instincts leave his body, knowing that Uma would never hurt him. "Uma," he whispered, his voice low and husky with desire. She smiled shamelessly and winked at him. She pulled the blade of the sword away from Harry's skin and gave him a quick kiss where she had been pressing. "I won," she turned to the crew, who viewed her with the same respect that they had had on the Island. "Gonzo, Bonny, up front." Harry forced himself to move his legs and stay away, but always close to her. It was his duty as first mate to take care of her, so he supervised the perimeter. Jay was in the stands, watching, next to the team, but they weren't the only ones. Apparently, the novelty of Uma practicing with her crew had spread quickly around the school, because there were so many people there. Harry saw Jane, Carlos, Evie, and Doug watching, also Celia and Dizzy were there, Princess Audrey, who was staying a bit away, Lonnie, along with some girls, and Chad. He also saw boys from the Island, and boys and girls from Auradon, who looked really surprised. Harry knew that fencing training was the closest they had ever come to true sword fighting, and yet they would never have seen pirates practice. They didn't follow rules, they played dirty. At that very moment, he saw Bonny hit Gonzo with her elbow, destabilizing him enough for her to make him drop his sword. Bonny was distracted for a second to high-five with Desiree and Gonzo recovered, attacking with strange, quick blows, which the girl defended by hitting his side with force with the flat part of the sword. Then Uma demanded that Gonzo respond, yelling at him where to attack, although at the same time she told Bonny what her weak points were and how she could protect them. Uma never physically intervened in the fighting, she only gave advice and they followed it. Then it was Gil and Jonas's turn. Gil used all the strength he had, which was a lot, to launch the first cut. He was always like that, he never waited for the opponent to attack first, because on the Island that was a death sentence. He never attacked lightly first, he was always direct and fast, but not that agile, so Jonas started to get the upper hand. Uma yelled at Gil to pay attention to his feet, his steps could betray him, making him fall and giving Jonas an advantage. The next second, exactly what she had said happened, so Gil seized the opportunity and tripped his opponent to the ground. Before Jonas could recover, Gil got up and pointed the sword at his neck. Uma nodded at him, acknowledging that he had done well. Harry would often hear surprised exclamations or shouts of support from onlookers. Even Jay looked at Uma with renewed respect and maybe even a little fear. Harry couldn't help but feel proud for her. At last, these people saw her as something more than Úrsula's daughter or the girl who had put a spell on the king. After everyone practiced in pairs (Uma clashed with Desiree), they started joint practice, where basically everyone slashed at everyone. Uma beat Jonas and Bonny first, then Harry knocked Desiree off balance and in the end, it was the two of them again. The last meeting was short but intense. Uma wasn't thinking anymore, she was in her captain mode, but Harry knew her completely, so this time he was able to match her movements and was about to beat her when he decided there were too many peepers, so he wouldn't take away his captain's victory. He dropped his sword at Uma's feet and held her by the shoulders until he saw the swirl of her eyes slowly fade away. She came to, realizing where they were. She released the breath she was holding and turned to smile at her crew. “Nice work, guys. Work on what I told you.”
”Aye, captain.” Practice was officially over. Uma turned to go to the corner where they had left their things, looking for a bottle of water. She drank in long gulps and then passed it to Harry, who drank too. "I really missed this," she told him. Harry nodded. “Maybe we all missed who we were there, huh? Remind me to tell Bestie that maybe the transition would be easier if we can do things that we were used to." Uma looked at him proudly. "That's a great idea, Harry. I think you're right; we can't forget who we used to be." Uma finally caught her breath and raised her voice for her crew to hear. "Now, I want you to wash up and I'll see you at dinner, understood?" She couldn't help but feel her heart warm as she heard his familiar chorus of: "Aye, captain!"
“Okay, so this is the plan. Mal and Ben are coming back tomorrow from their honeymoon and I think we should greet them with a quiet and festive picnic on the beach. Everything is arranged, the food, the decorations, I just need to know who will go ”, declared Jane at dinner that night. Since it was Friday, they had done this thing of putting all the tables together so that the pirates, the Core Four, and Auradon's friends like Jane, Doug, and Audrey were all having dinner together. “Of course we will go, Jane. I want to see Mal and Ben now! ”Evie screeched, and Uma had to avoid wincing at the sound. "Sure, why not?" Said Audrey. Jane looked at Uma. "What do you say, will you guys go?" Uma sighed. "Any excuse to be near the sea." Jane began to chatter about her wonderful plans for the lovebirds' welcome, but Uma was already beyond the conversation. In fact, she was daydreaming about sea ponys.
