What do you think about the possibility of overhaul mimicking all for one’s ability to transfer quirks? We know he can fuse himself with others and use their quirks temporarily, he’s done some research on his own by extracting the quirk factor of rewind with the eraser bullets, and garaki proves that it is possible to not only physically remove, store, and transfer quirks into new bodies. So hypothetically, if given the proper information, chisaki could use overhaul to dismantle a person to separate them from their quirk and fuse it to himself or others, and in order to handle the stress his quirk could be used to graft on extra organs or enhance their body to compensate. It wouldn’t be as effective compared to the original considering its outside its normal function and it’s assuming a lot of hypotheticals but overhaul theoretically could do it, I could see him having a few vials of quirk factors on hand to temporarily boost himself or his allies.

I mean, what Kai does with the bullets seems like a pretty far cry to what Garaki does in terms of scale and skill. Heck, I don't think he'd get that far with it without explicit help and mentorship from Garaki, but that's besides the point.

I doubt he could do that. For all of Kai's power, "Overhaul" still has some limits on how far it can modify people. "Overhaul" cannot reach that far down in scale to extract someone's Quirk in the first place. It's why Kai had to use so much of Eri's blood as a sample to work on and make the bullet. And I don't think it'd be as simple as slapping body parts together. Because without the Quirk Factor in people's DNA, it wouldn't function. He basically needs Shin's body in order to facilitate and support the Quirk in the first place, just not in the same shape. It's why when he fuses with Shin, it's a horrific abomination of two people rather than a seamless fusion. And something like that only works to a certain degree as it's giving Kai access to their Quirk and that's it. We don't know if it'd even work on other people. Now, a much better scenario would be Kai combing people together with animals, objects, and other technology to improve their fighting capabilities and Quirks. Now that sounds like a fun idea. Because that's something he has been shown down with the Reservoir Dogs and their car. Only instead of making a horrific example of them, he'd be combining his with whatever to augment their bodies, such as by fusing them with support equipment in order to help them use their Quirk.

Physical appearance:

4’6 height

Indigo hair, fluffy and reaches by his nape.

Prior to his resurrection, Ruu had dark blue eyes (Almost black.)

But after being blessed by the Thunderbird, his eyes changed into a vibrant blue hue with red irises.

But unfortunately, his eyes had lost their shine, like Tartaglia fashion.

Speaking of shine, his eyes became one of his newfound insecurities.

Onto the negative traits. He can be a bit of a traditionalist. He only knew his island for 2,000 years, so it's only safe to assume he does things the way his parents do it.

Although after a few self-actualization and spending in the nature will he realize the other's POV.

Speaking of caring, there are times he can be a people pleaser.

Finally! The fun part!

Since im this AU, Ruu is resurrected by the Thunderbird, he basically had some of her abilities, although weaken and still clumsy.

First is his electro affinity. He has some control over the electro element despite not having a vision... Although when ashed by strangers, he simply say that he keeps his vision hidden.

Some degree of electro immunity. Well, he is MADE from her remaining power so it'd be weird not to add it here. BUT throw his ass in the Raiden domain and he's coming out extra crispy.

Wings manifestation: Sorta like Wanderer's skill, he can summon wings to aid his journey. The cost? It is tiring to use on the long term.

Some healing capabilities: he can heal small gaze and bruises, but anything bigger than that will require an electro source for him to absorb.

Immortality: lil guy is a spirit now, so unless he runs out of Electro fuel, he's here for a long time.

Likes and dislikes:

Let's state the obvious: He likes to travel. A lot. To the point of being stuck in one place can seem tiresome to him.

He likes the ocean AND seafood (srry Nahida and Zhongli.) He grew up learning how to fish and watching his mama cook their meal, so it's a very sentimental thing for him.

To add on the last hc: When Ruu's upset, he'd fly to the nearest body of water and listen to the streams/waves to calm him down.

Likes fermented veggies! (Ainu culture irl have a lot of them, so it's only fair I incorporate that into his character.)

Onto dislikes!

He hates blood and pain for... Obvious reasons.

Not too keen on spicy food (He would have a love hate relationship w/Kimchi fr fr)

Used with more simple flavors (serve him curry and he'll combust like a fucking overcharged slime.)

He has such a fascination with songs and instruments!

Random fact: In Ainu culture, people pass down their legends and stories through oral literature.

So he also wants to hear about Teyvat through its songs. (He would've LOVE Yunjin and her opera.)

He loves birds, especially the bigger ones!

Although this may sound odd, but he has grown an irrational fear with silence.

If there's ever a beat of silence in a conversation, he would immediately fill it in with a soft hum or a random thought.

Just finished Demon: Recollection and I absolutely LOVED it! There were quite a few typos here and there, but it didn't take away from the experience for me. I was hoping the suit would have more customization options (along with what weapons and armor we could afford for our army).

What could have used more fleshing out though is the MCs powers. Having slayed thousands (and having their powers) yet still getting punched around like a bag by the God of War wasn't adding up to me (though having an invincible MC would be no fun if they couldn't be defeated and grow).

I'm hoping for the next book, our MC also has the option to use black market items (like the mutant serums or military grade bombs and gadgets) to improve her mortal body, base strength and prowess. I'd also like to see the heroes have more presence (kind of like My Hero Academy) because in spite of there being different classes of them, we only ever see and hear of a handful and their presence is basically non-existent in relation to other villains.

I was kind of hoping to become somewhat of a Robin Hood (killing heroes or corrupt officials but not being feared and hated by the public - or at least some of them). It'd be nice for our MC to use more of their powers, I was thinking along the lines of being able to change up their offensive and defensive fighting styles and using powers of different elements depending on the enemy being faced.

More options to genuinely hide the MCs identity. I find it funny that no one that they know made the connection, despite not using a voice modulator, wearing contact lenses, using body bronzer, changing their hair colour or wearing androgynous costumes to obscure their body frame and using the exact same persona they have in their unmasked life as they do in their villain one. I mean even a wig would do to throw them off their scent and make it hard to pin down their identity.

Please create a Poly or Open Relationship route! My heart jumped to my chest when Blur wanted to know what we were after sleeping together (because up until that point I'd totally been dropping the rizz on his brother Ember). All these men are too fine, how could 1 possibly satiate my lustful appetite? Especially since the MC is immortal and most of these dudes will probably kick the bucket before the end of the century anyways. More sexy time options! Being a villain is hard work and what better way to unwind than in the arms of a hottie with the stamina of a stallion?

Another idea, was the option to strengthen Godsin (so that the less corporeal they are, the stronger their might as a weapon becomes and perhaps the ability to awaken new skills or abilities).

Also, seeing that the MC supposedly has multiple personalities, why is it that we only ever see Azazel and Godsin? And why can't we channel Azazel's strength and ferociousness into our main identity without them taking over? I was hoping that by not allowing them to take over, I gained more conscious control over them, thereby subjecting them to my authority rather than being subjected to theirs.

I also saw that you mentioned the MC being imprisoned on another planet, if that's possible, then perhaps you could introduce some DBZ style characters from outer space to stir things up on Earth and give the MC a run for their money? I want to see more cyborg hybrids! And creatures of the deep and of space that were either slumbering or watching from the shadows! And I want to see more betrayal (between other heroes or dismantling of relationships due to ulterior motives or force of hand)! I want my conscience to scream and to be presented with options truly villainous and horrific!

What's interesting is that Sentinel is part of a bigger group, yet didn't see fit to call in reinforcements from other cities or countries for aid against all these varying threats. Moreover, just as the MC saw fit to create her own group of vagabonds, surely there are others similar and alike who may be preying behind the cicada to reap the benefits or planning to establish themselves as a competitior to Sentinel via mutant-cyborg hybrids?

I really hope to see you resume writing for the sequel! I know that you're busy with Forsaken, but would you be able to give a time frame for when we could expect to see the next installment in the series?

Sorry for this long wall of text! It's so refreshing to play an IF where I can be an actual villain. Kind of hoping to deepen the villain arc and reign terror among the masses in the next book! If I'm going to be called Demon, I want to be tearing my enemies limb from limb, painting the city walls red with their blood, littering the roads with their ashes and hanging their bodies for all to see as a warning cartel-style (I'd also like to use the Aegis shield! Would be a waste not to tbh).

I appreciate this long wall of feedback. I already wrote something similar of to your suggestions (maybe like half, mostly about the underworld/crime org mechanics and MC's hidden identity stuff), especially the plot holes. Oh God the plot holes. I thought I had 10 at most, but I remember it reached 20. It felt like the story was caught in a crossfire between two Wild West outlaws.

The alien invasion one is interesting. I wrote something similar, but it was about MC's severed pinky (or toe?) regenerating, becoming a body of its own that evolved to survive the planet's harsh environment. It was driven by pure instinct, memories it never had, and a twisted obsession of reaching a blue planet that it had never lived in—and I tossed it in the "trash under the rug" folder.

I got a lot of crap in my folders I have to sift through to get to the actual decent stuff.

As for the poly route, I had a plan for that, but it doesn't allow for the MC to date the twoms simultaneously. Some of the non-immortals aren't open to the idea (if I recall correctly) though.

Trixie: Her cunning. It may not always come across as so when she's acting like an animal, but Trixie is highly intelligent and a manipulative little bitch. She can read people incredibly well, and knows just which strings to pull to get what she wants. It doesn't really work with Sentinel, because he knows all those tricks – he basically invented them – but she doesn't need them with him. He knows exactly who she really is, and he wouldn't want her any other way.

She would never want anybody else to be just as good as her. That would just make it impossible to use those skills, or god forbid someone could try to manipulate her. Absolutely not. Again, Sentinel is the exception. She's too smart to fall for any of his performances, and so is he for hers, but lying to people is so much more fun with a partner. She loves the way that he just gets her.

Bird: This is the most Prowl coded answer, but it's got to be her ability to stay quiet, wait and listen. She wouldn't remotely be the person she is if she did not have the patience it took to truly step back and look at Earth. It changed everything for her.

A lot of the Decepticons used to mock her for it, because she was always far more passive than any of them. Decepticons are known to thrive on direct action and aggressiveness, not on quietly stepping back and watching rather than joining a fight. It did make her a good spy, but still, in hindsight, she never did fully fit in.

If you asked her, she'd tell you that it'd be great if more people, humans and bots alike, took more time to really look at things. At each other, at nature, or even themselves. The world – all worlds – would be a better place for it.

Havoc: Maybe not quite what this question is asking, but this is what my brain came up with.

Her ability to focus on her work, keep her servos steady and processor calm no matter the situation. It's a learned skill. Havoc was meant to be rash and brutish and able to break anything she comes across, but her large, scarred servos are nothing short of delicate when handling sensitive medical equipment. Though once prone to outbursts of aggression, her processor is quiet and undeterred by any disturbances, focusing only on the task at hand, until it is done to satisfaction. It's almost meditative at times. The fact that she had to work hard to develop this ability only makes it all the more special to her, because this is her. Not what she was meant to be, but who she chose to be.

Maybe that's the quality that truly holds importance. Knowing yourself well enough to know what you want, and the courage to reach for it. Havoc will never be told what to do again. And yes, no question, all living beings deserve the same.

I'm assigning top/bottom and dom/sub/verse to voxal, voxval and huskerdust and providing some fun analysis to go with it so without further ado!

First up we got RadioStatic:

On his own Alastor would be a verse, he could dom or sub depending on who his lover is, though subbing would rest on just how comfortable he is with them but with Vox he always falls into the submissive role. Vox is a massive control freak with a fragile ego and a personality that relentlessly refuses to submit, least of all to Alastor, so while Alastor is also very prideful, he's no match for him when it comes down to bedroom dominance.

That fact doesn't bother Alastor as much as it would with anyone else, Vox's lustful desperation and obsession with him is enough to give Alastor a sense of control over him even when he's forced into submission. He enjoys how desirable Vox makes him feel both because he's an attention whore and because he has his own deeply hidden insecurities that the TV overlord helps dissuade.

Due to being asexual, Alastor doesn't particularly have a desire to use his dick for anything besides pissing so when it comes to sex he'd personally prefer to take his lover's dick, as this crazy masochist basically considers being penetrated the same as being stabbed over and over (without the inconvenience of creating a new hole and a bloody mess). Rather than typical sexual pleasure, the kind of pleasure he gets out of sex is the same kind as when he's cut open with a knife and disemboweled.

Vox, on the other hand, is a sexist 50's tradhusband who also happens to be bisexual. The reasons given above for him also apply here but besides just that, this creepy stalker has two brains; one in his flat head and one in his dick. He never has and has never seriously considered taking anything up the ass because his dick takes stimulation precedence and nothing beats that.

Next we have HuskerDust:

Unlike Vox, Husk isn't insecure regarding dom/sub roles but even so he's just naturally dominant without even realizing it, in bed and in general. He's a middle aged man pushing 60 who has a great amount of experience, an insane ability to read people, and a strong desire to please and make his lover happy and satisfied and he can clearly tell that Angel is the type to want to be dominated.

Angel always falls into the role of the submissive under Husk's own natural dominance which is fine by him as he's naturally submissive anyway and Husk would be the one man to ever dominate him who's also able to make him feel loved and safe while doing it, something he's been deprived and starved of for decades.

Angel's had sex with women before, straight for pay as they say, he's already experienced sex as the one doing the penetrating. He has an idea of what it'd probably be like to top his man but he personally still prefers to take dick. He not only enjoys the feeling better but it's also empowering for him and makes him feel more attractive.

Once again, with Husk he's naturally a top when it comes to sex. When it comes to who doms/subs in bed, it gets real complicated cause neither of them are ever willing to give up the dom role. Though he appreciates Vox's own dominance and considers him his daddy, he has a superiority complex when it comes to him. Vox, being who he is, hates it but the circumstances are enough for him to mostly put up with it for the sake of his dick because Val is perfectly fine with never giving him any action otherwise, being that he's capable of getting laid by a slew of different people whenever he wants with ease. Although, Vox knows how to play to his own favor by manipulating Val's dumbass to get him to let Vox dom him without incident.

Now, Val is the type to not care how he gets his pleasure, topping, bottoming, it's all the same to him because it all feels good regardless. Sex is sex and he knows it like the back of his hand, he prides himself on it which means he has to be better than great at everything that has to do with it. Though whether he tops or bottoms also depends on who he's with, he can switch things up to match with his partner's preferences without a problem.

Something came to my attention. I need to make it crystal clear that I utterly love the diversity in DAV. It's fantastic. I'm also a heavily left leaning, non-binary, queer as fuck reviewer, editor, and author.

I'm on media blackout while I play this, so I'm only getting second-hand info on how awful it is right now in the DA Fandom. Please be safe and take care of yourselves. Y'know? Every single time the anti-queer brigade comes out for a new DA game, I sit there thinking 'have you Bozos ever played any DA game, like, ever?' My guess is nope.

Okay. Got several more hours into the game last night. I'm finally getting story bits!

It really shouldn't take 16 hours to get that far.

I utterly love Treviso. And to my surprise, most of the NPCs are brown. So they didn't fuck that up.

I've so far met Lace (hate her), Neve (withholding judgment), Bellara (withholding judgment) and Lucanis (hilarious that I actually like him in game). Though what's with the count Dracula look? Dude looks like he needs to find his coffin. That's an... interesting design choice. Gotta admit I loved the coffee meeting. I may end up eating crow. (I said in a group that if I ended up romancing Lucanis in game, I'd happily eat crow, because I utterly loathed his intro story, The Wigmaker, in Tevinter Nights.) I still have to meet the rest of the companions. And yes, it's a double entendre.

Again, the sets, backgrounds, and environments are fantastic and the best part of the game so far. It's an interesting twist to me that they chose a negative coded demon for Lucanis. I was thinking it'd be Valor.

And I feel seen in a caring manner on the trans options. I do wish the CC would've given me the same freedom of design on that front as BG3 did. It doesn't. Larian was far, far more brave and accommodating on that front. But I could make a representative character for me, so that's important and good enough.

Larian also had the courage to allow polyamory too. Sooooo. My opinion of not being able to be polyam like me in DAV is pretty damned low. Only 30% of the dating population is monogamous. Get with the times, Bioware.

Arlathan turned out to be more beautiful than I originally expected. Not a city person so Minrathous doesn't do much for me.

I had some pretty negative feelings about the game reveals, but that post is here if you want. Fair warning, I didn't censor myself much and it's both acidic and negative.

And I don't like the non-open world thing. In fact, I hate it. I much preferred DAI on that aspect. I feel like the Devs are herding my rather contrary ass through the game and I just really don't like it. You often can't go back (say for potions you didn't need before but could use?) It’s really just unpleasant. I don't like being led around by the nose for the story the devs want to tell. I want to be able to explore. When I want to.

And I want both my third companion and my ability to play the other companions back, damnit. I really hate that too.

I've got a busy day, so I'm not sure if my weak ass will be able to play tonight. Though after 18 hours I'm feeling a very, very slight desire to play? Again, it shouldn't take an 18 hour commitment to want to log in to a game.

Oh, and I'm playing a rogue. 16 hours in and I've yet had the opportunity to pick a damned lock or defuse a trap or any of the fun rogue bits I play rogues for. Did they really decide to get rid of an entire section of the stuff that makes rogues fun to play? That basically turns my rogue into a weak ass elf good with a bow and dual weild. They could be any Joe Blow with that. They removed everything that made rogues special? Really? Really really? Fucking hell, man.

I'm recovering from a Pulmonary Embolism (really do not recommend) so my energy levels have very finite limits.

Okay so I also agree with you that fyodor's breakdown might have been partially genuine bc yeah I also doubt asagiri would show that entire scene (which was kinda long too) only for fyodor at the end to be like "lmao it was all a trick I deceived you". Imo when fyodor read that note in russian smth did happen inside of him and the start of his breakdown might have been somewhat genuine. But then there's that scene where he stops screaming and goes "...", I think in that moment he might have gone back to normal and may have realized "wait sigma is still there with the gun pointed at me, I have no other way to protect myself, I could probably keep up this act, make up some lie and trick him to drop the gun" so then he probably made up that whole story of the double personality and the magic sword to kill him

OR there's the possibility that what he said about the double personality and the magic sword are at least somewhat true as well in some way, but then he switched back to his regular self and went "yeah I was totally lying, I totally do not have a double personality, it was all just a story I made up trust me bro" to confuse sigma (and us readers) even more

The fun thing about this is that we have no idea which of these scenarios is the correct one and that there's a possibility that neither of them are right and there's actually a secret third option we might find out in the future

This is not the first time fyodor keeps up an act like this to get out of a situation. He used that same technique with ace when he pretended the entire time to have an ability that trapped people inside his mind. But I also agree with you that we've never seen fyodor act so distressed/ooc (the most we got was that 😳 face he made when dazai showed up at the café he was in). So basically what I'm trying to say is, this man has an iron grip on my brain and my puthy and I need him to step on me

yeah like it'd be insane to dedicate 75% of a chapter to an interaction that had no meaning and like all the shit he made up about that dagger??? i don't think we have all the pieces yet to actually make an accurate hypothesis but im thinking less and less that it was just him lying like that's too surface level. we also still have no fucking idea what that "help me" note was???? and maybe it was his "other self" trying to communicate to him ??? my god this is so complicated

and yes this isnt the first time he's fabricated an entire situation to get out of something but he's alwayyysss stayed calm and collected bc to him having control over the situation or at least pretending to is the most important thing. if he's having a meltdown 1) that's incredibly uncharacteristic 2) he's lost control over the situation and that just isn't what he does.

but the other thing is he just didn't need to go to that extreme to get sigma to put the gun down??? like sigma is just. so naive (to no fault of his own he's literally 3 years old) and is so easily swayed in his opinion bc he never knows what to believe. fyodor is incredibly good at manipulation and absolutely could've just manipulated him into lowering the gun, at least for just long enough to kick it out of his hand or whatever. and like i said before this motherfucker has a gun pointed at him every other fuckin day he's not a stranger to having to sweet talk himself out of that.

What is a Magical Girl and How do I Become One?

This is inspired by @laluneestclair 's post about becoming a magical girl. I decided to post about this topic as well so you all can have a better understanding of what I am personally doing to achieve my goal. I also thought it'd be fun to provide information too!

What is a Magical Girl?

A Magical Girl is a girl who has been chosen to protect the world from evil. They possess magical abilities usually given to them by companion creatures, however they can be obtained any other way too. These girls usually live an ordinary life; however, in the presence of danger, they can transform into a magical girl to fight monsters and the forces of evil. Magical girls aren't always girls, too! There are also magical boys & enbies, they just aren't as common. Magical girls were originally shown in fiction, and there are incredibly popular shows like Sailor Moon & Cardcaptor Sakura that portray magical girls! However, unbeknownst to many people (and the whole point of this post, and my whole blog) there are magical girls everywhere! You just can't see them most of the time, however it is 100% possible to become one. You may be thinking, "but that's crazy! It's not possible to be a magical girl!!" But I can assure you, there is much more to the world than us humans can comprehend at the moment. We only use 10% of our brains so we have no idea of what we are truly capable of.

How do I Become a Magical Girl?

There are mainly 2 methods to becoming a magical girl. Though magical girls are all united and work together, there are also different communities based for each method. The 2 methods are:

The Spiritual Method

This is a method I see used by many people in the mahou shoujo community. I know some people this has worked for as well! You can basically manifest becoming a magical girl.

You can read about manifesting here; (https://psychicelements.com/blog/magical-manifestation-technique/) ; however I will be talking about how I personally go about this. I introduce to you... subliminals!

What is a Subliminal?

Subliminals are affirmations layered over with music, white noise or sfx to manifest your desires (for example, a subliminal on manifesting red hair.) In this case, we'd use magical girl subliminals. Subliminals are in no way required, the human mind is totally capable of manifesting without these!! All you truly need s belief & intent. There are many magical girl subliminals on YouTube. Your subliminal playlist refers to the playlist you use for your subs (it's in the name-).

The Steps to Becoming a Magical Girl, Using This Information:

In this side of the magical girl community, we call the different steps to becoming a magical girl "shifts."

Fantasy Shift: This is the planning stage for what kind of magical girl you want to be! Wanna be an idol mg? Go for it! Wanna be baking themed? Cool concept~ Wanna be a witchy kind? I love that idea! The options are endless. But be prepared, there is alot of scripting (writing what you want) for this stage so be prepared to have very tired hands...

Mental Shift: This is pretty much the same as the fantasy shift, however this time you really need to imagine yourself as a magical girl. Help anybody in need, pick up garbage, be kind to all etc. You should be in the right mindset!

Phantom Shift: This is when you start feeling yourself becoming a magical girl. For example, you might feel yourself wearing your outfit or holding your weapon even if it's not there. These may also occur during meditation; by the way, meditation is very good for this kind of stuff!!

Physical Shift: The stage where you achieve full results and transform! There is lots of meditation, time & dedication needed for this stage.

You don't need to use those steps or any subliminals of course, however I put them there as they are very useful. In conclusion, anybody with the desire to become a magical girl is 100% capable of transforming into one! This may sound cliché but it's true; all you need is to believe in yourself and you can achieve anything!! <3

The Chosen Method

Typically, magical girls are usually portrayed as being seen as worthy and thus scouted by some sort of cute companion. This is not as heard of in real life aside from fiction, but it is actually possible to be chosen!! All it takes is to have a good heart and you may perhaps be recognised by this cute creature that is looking to scout. An example of a magical girl who was scouted is @magicalgirldiaries !! They have lots of cool stories so totally go check them out.

As I stated, the ones who scout magical girls are the companions or familiars. They come from a different plane, and scout magical girls to fight evil. They are usually very friendly & welcoming, and they look for people who are kind-hearted.

Conclusion

Becoming a magical girl is 100% possible, and all it takes is persistence and believing in yourself!! I believe that anyone is capable of being whoever they want to be, no matter how crazy it may seem. Trust that whatever you wish for will come true someday. ☆彡

Hi there! If it isn't rude of me to ask, how long does it usually take you to make one click and drag game?

Hi! I don't find it rude at all! I think it'll be a fun thing to answer actually

I'm gonna go long with this one, do bear with me!

So it usually depends! Anything I make from scratch will definitely take longer than anything I've already created gifs/banners for. If there are a lot of characters (~20-50), it'll take a WHILE (like ~2-4 hours) but if there are only a handful, it can take just about 45min to 1.5 hrs)

If you want me to go into specifics, I'll go through my step process! first, I'll have to look for pictures to use and crop them all which would generally take me 5-7 minutes for each character. Then I'll have to compile those images into multiple gifs which would take me roughly about 3-5 minutes for each different gif. Then, the last step would be to finally add the labels and "@" for each gif (taking ~2 minutes each)

After explaining this process, you can imagine how long it'd take to create gif sets that include 20+ characters 🥴

For this blog, it's much more of a straightforward process that I stick to more consistently in comparison to how I do things in @deescade. In @deescade I basically follow the same process, but now, I'll be including the time it takes to brainstorm new ideas/themes/scenarios. Things will take a LOT longer because I try my best to be creative with 'em. (Especially for games that include text/worded outcomes such as Date! Scenario or 7MiH). Whereas, on @anime-clickanddrag-geemu , I simply use the standard outcomes (bff, rival, lover, cockblock, etc.) that you'd often see in the original click and drag games back in 2014-2015, so there's no extra level of creativity that's required of me

I'm not sure if you've seen my games from when I first started out this blog @anime-clickanddrag-geemu (back in 2018), but if you look back at them, you'll notice how a lot of them were not mobile friendly and were quite plain in terms of format. Back then, I would use only one base gif to use for the rest of the options so if you screenshotted it, your results would mostly end up being the one single character (or sometimes 2 of the same characters) you screenshotted. So in order to get a wider variety of characters/results, I would take the extra step of creating multiple, differently ordered gifs, specifically 9 gifs in total.

My process required less time before, but as my click and drag games began to grow more popular and have been getting more feedback on it over the years, I'm spending more time in order to fix those kinks and inconveniences to the best of my ability. I feel like I've accomplished that with @deescade the most, which is why I'm much more active there than on here. The ideas that I come up with on deescade are more fun and interesting too, albeit it takes longer to create.

It's a really tedious process that I'd rather not spend that much time on, but if it makes my games easier to enjoy for myself and others, then I don't mind it too much.

That final Hiccstrid scene in Mi Amore Wing was just too perfect, we have Hiccup grabbing Astrid's hand to bring her outside and talk to her, the sunset in the background, every little thing Hiccup told her about being there for her and loving her with everything he had and that he should've noticed the necklace right away AND THEN THAT KISS WAS JUST AMAZING❗️❗️❗️ it was passionate and sweet and Astrid was blushing and then Fishlegs was all uncomfortable and Mala was like "okaaayyyyy😏" and Dagur like "alrighhtttt👌🏼" ig the only thing I didn't like is that Astrid didn't say I love you back 😭 but it's ok cause yk she does I just wished she had said it.

The Dramillion is a distant cousin of the Changewing which means the Titanwing Dramillion shares the de-cloaking ability with its subspecies.

Stormfly's spine clone was literally so badass, my girl was surrounded and she finished every single dragon flyer with it. Badass move. Wish we had seen it more throughout the series

It really pissed me off that Hiccup had to choose between getting Tuff, Ruff and Snotlout out of that sinking ship when he could've been following Krogan. Like ofc it was the right decision but that wouldn't have happened if the twins and Snotlout didn't follow Gruff into the ship :/

I love how strong Barf and Belch are! They literally carried the a Titanwing Dramillion on their own.

That scene when they figured out that the Titanwing Dramillion is not the King of Dragons but instead the last piece of the puzzle to get to the King of Dragons

When the Wingmaidens got to the battle it was amazing

oo i like it!! in terms of early communication (also some other things i ended up thinking of), here are my thoughts

we've already got a bit of a starting point in that ik is already the sort of person whose emotions are incredibly (and unintentionally) readable to just about anyone, and it'd be the same for the dragons even when they've only just met her. she's just so obvious about it - which would incline them to be less vicious on first encounter, they just feel bad for this tiny shaky human who's trying to put on a brave face despite how clearly terrified she is

i believe in sam's original ask (it feels so long ago now....) mammon and ik have a hiccup+toothless moment on first meeting, so in my head they sorta 'imprint' on each other and can communicate with each other fairly effectively. ik's been hiding out in the woods for a day or so when they meet, and they work together to scavenge berries or something before going their separate ways

then mammon re-encounters her a few days later, by which point ik's just sort of barely hanging on, and he decides "okay you're coming home with me" and the rest is history

so i think in the beginning it'd be a lot of ik and the other brothers misinterpreting each other while mammon attempts to bridge the gap. belphie tries to ask ik if she's hungry by opening his jaw real wide (in a sort of yawn) and she, naturally, thinks he's about to bite her head off

conversely once ik gets a bit braver, she responds to their growl-communication by going 'graugh!!!" and making claws with her hands, and the first time she does it, it makes them jump straight back like those videos of cats being surprised by cucumbers

but it's a lot of just making noises at each other, pointing at things, watching each other very carefully for reaction, and they get good at reading each other's emotions very quickly - though ik has a harder time of it, because the others don't have the same 'literally radiates whatever powerful emotion they're feeling' quirk as she does haha

so an example might be - (allow me to write this as if it's a script, just for fun)

big sea serpent levi: rrr.

ik: huh?

[levi wiggles his head about, then looks straight off to the left.]

ik: is there something there?

levi: hss. grrrgr. [wiggles more intensely and looks off again]

ik: ...you want me to go over there?

[levi tilts his head to the side.]

ik: [points to self, then to the direction levi was gesturing in] like that?

[levi brightens. then he wiggles again. the motion is wave-like...]

ik: oh! water? we're going to get water? [makes same wiggle motion with arms]

levi: rrrr! [translation: yeah!]

between this and the 'can understand each other just by looks' phase, i can definitely see satan in particular getting smart enough to doing things like scratching pictures into rock to get the message across. i like to think ik has her own little language with each dragon by the end of it all - certain noises and motions unique to each one

as for their names... i'm going back to that idea where ik is the one who gives them their human-language names, but also sort of combining them with a translation? basically, the brothers tell her what their name means in dragon-language, and she gives them a human-language equivalent

for example with lucifer, he would communicate that in dragon-language, his name means 'sun', and ik would go "hmm... the morningstar.... so you're lucifer!". and lucifer goes mrr :) because he likes it

and a side note: potentially, barbatos could once again be perpetuating the cycle despite his good intentions when it comes to solomon and asmo. he lacks ik's human empathy and general ability to form connections - partially because of his time powers alienating him from the experience, partially because he's not human despite having lived as one for so long, and partially just because of his personality

so he's tried to encourage solomon and asmo's bond, hoping it'd help break the cycle, but he always tries to push at the wrong time - when one or both parties are still bitter, and one inevitably lashes out, and then the whole thing just snowballs into chaos (the fact that ik's bond with the dragon brothers never puts things into perspective for either solomon or asmo in these cycles also exacerbates this effect)

After becoming overly fixated on Dragon!AU, I ended up creating brothers in Flight Rising's (free dragon browser game) generator.

I'd like to hear your take on peak Gohan

Oh lol you saw!

Okay, let's do this.

Why Tournament of Power (anime) Gohan is Peak Gohan

1. He can actually fight

Gohan 'discourse' I find often gets oversimplified into two camps; the 'why isn't Gohan a badass fighter' camp, and the 'why can't Gohan just live in peace and not fight' camp. And the two of them feel like they're constantly arguing with each other over how Gohan should be characterised.

But I kind of find myself seeing valid points in both camps. On the one hand, I don't want Gohan forced into a lifestyle that doesn't suit his personality. But on the other hand, I also know that Dragon Ball is a fighting show and if you don't have the ability to fight (or even worse, used to have the ability to fight but lost it), you kind of look really lame no matter how many cute slice-of-life moments there are. (This is the problem I had with DBS Ep 52)

So, like...why can't he have both?

People act like there's some hard rule that if Gohan doesn't 100% dedicate his entire life to training like Goku does, he'll never get stronger (and in fact will keep actively getting weaker), but...why does that even have to be the case? This is just fiction. You can easily say "he found a compromise where he's a scholar but maybe trains a bit in his spare time so he won't get weak". I think it'd make enough sense for his character. He wants to be a scholar, but he also cares a lot about protecting his family and friends. It feels pretty natural.

2. It fixed Ultimate Gohan

Conceptually, Ultimate Gohan is honestly one of the coolest thing in the late era of Dragon Ball. After one flashy transformation after another, the idea someone's final form is basically them looking exactly the same – no big hair or scary glowing eyes – and yet remaining as powerful as someone with a form like that is just really cool to watch. It gives that sense that the character is in total control, not consumed by rage or whatnot to turn them into a different personality.

My personal big issues with the form, however, are that 1. Gohan basically gets given it for free without having to do much at all. In fact, he has to literally sit there and do nothing while he has a ritual performed on him. It's good comedy, but not as satisfying as him, like, literally having to fight and sweat for his power-up. Especially one which has all the trademarks of being a 'Final Form'.

And 2., Toriyama makes Gohan's personality when he uses that form against Super Buu very assertive and cocky, almost overconfident. Which obviously happens in fights sometimes, but Gohan is probably the member of the cast who is naturally the least like that, so it's kind of jarring to see him suddenly smack-talking his enemy like Vegeta.

It's kind of not why I like Gohan, so I really didn't like the implication that 'for Gohan to be a strong fighter, he needs to be cocky and a generic badass'.

Anyway, Gohan in the Tournament of Power fixes both these issues. For one, he has to seemingly work and train to get the 'Ultimate' 'form' back again, even if it was directly only for 1 or 2 episodes in the Super anime. And even with that power, he still maintains the traditional personality of the more polite member of the cast who also really appreciates and hypes up everyone else.

He's kind of like...the moe one, if that makes sense.

3. He gets to be cool without it feeling overblown

This was basically the issue I had with Vegeta in Dragon Ball Super. It's fun to give a character power-ups and big emotional moments, but if you reach too far, it starts to feel like mindless pandering to fans without any real understanding of a narrative.

Vegeta gets a lot in modern Dragon Ball, a lot of it for basically no reason other than ticking off a checklist. (The most egregious example to me was SSG in the Broly movie. It's not the most powerful form, there's basically no reason to even use it, but they made him dramatically use it in the movie just to prove to people he had it.)

Anyway, when they brought Gohan back, I was worried it'd fall into that trap, but it hasn't (so far). He didn't get any big power-up in the Tournament of Power, his little plot was all about learning to fight better with the power he already had. He didn't beat or even fight Jiren. Because the story took it conservative with him and decided he didn't have to be the strongest or even get close to Goku's level within one arc to show that he was cool. Sometimes you can wholeheartedly appreciate a character for what they are and what they've done, and not for what they're not.

This is also the reason why Tournament of Power (manga) isn’t part of the discussion. Because 1. I actually have trouble believing...power-scaling wise, that he’d be stronger than Kefla, it feels like too much of a jump in power to the point it feels unsatisfying and 2. he acts weirdly confident and not as polite and empathetic there, it falls too much into the trap of the Super Buu fight.

Since Kea is a GNB does Y'shtola ever help charge her cartridges? Like a lazy afternoon sorta thing.

...y'know the thought never even occurred to me before now?

at least, the impression I've had was that for gunbreakers that aren't Thancred, usually the charging of cartridges is something that you do as part of the flow of combat. For example, since the comically named ability Bloodfest basically uses Squall's Draw animation from FF8, I kind of imagined that ability as a thing of drawing aether from an enemy to charge up the cartridges and so forth?

I'm actually not sure now.

Like on one hand, it seems like it'd naturally fall under gunblade maintenance which would be Kea's thing. Like I can imagine them sitting by the same table with Kea handling her gunblade while Y'shtola reads a book or examines some magical thing or the like.

On the other hand though... Y'shtola handing Kea one or more cartridges she's charged herself "for luck" before a particularly dangerous battle seems like a cute and fun little touch and I kind of like it?

I doubt this is like, new territory to you, but what if instead, Rhys saw early enough what it would take to 'succeed', balked it, and rewrote for himself what success meant.

Maybe he could keep Atlas, but it's a small, specialty business that he's still personally involved in. Tbh the guns could be great for people with disabilities, visual or motor, and I wonder if the megacorps would even give a shit about that demographic enough to go after him. He might fly under the radar for years. Until he didn't.

Cue maybe Fiona to the rescue. Calling in a favor with a certain fellow vault hunter. They don't need to beat a huge corporation- they just need to show enough teeth to prove it'd cost more than Atlas is worth to take it.

Zer0 doesn't know Rhys that well and Fiona rags on him, plus the unicorn tears thing probably colored their perception of his crisis handling abilities, so Zer0 is expecting something of a damsel-in-distress rescue. Rhys' resourcefulness, tenacity, etc probably takes them by surprise.

I did consider "what if Atlas was just a small business" but honestly couldn't think of a way for it to survive. Rhys specializing in something like that would make sense, though! He's a left-handed cyborg, it makes sense for him to notice that some demographics go largely ignored (not that his cybernetics would be bad for shooting, probably the opposite, but he’s experienced life without them, at least briefly). 

It took me a moment to figure out what you meant with the "unicorn tears" and now I want to believe that's the exact kind of story he was thinking of lmao. But omg, tftbl probably was saturated the most embarrassing moments in Rhys's life, and Zer0 saw some real good ones (I think they just kind of sat there and watched as Rhys tried to choke out that vandit). I do love them completely underestimating him, and having a Fiona-warped opinion of him on top of that is a very fun time. Not entirely related to the rest of this, but in the case that Rhys's Atlas is doomed (which is my ideal scenario): There were a lot of people between tftbl and BL3 wanting Rhys to go full Vault hunter. And I think that would be a lot of fun but IDK if I really see that for him if he's not driven into it by necessity? Though I can't deny the appeal of Rhys and Zer0 fighting next to each other. I think it depends what he really got out of the whole Atlas thing, whether it was that he was just good at it or if he enjoyed the status/wealth/competition? Maybe he needs to find something that employs those same skills, like idk we have town administrators (which IDK how those work in Borderlands but by the beginning of the first game Pierce is operating rather independently of Dahl to keep New Haven functioning) and stuff? Maybe he just needs to find something that fulfills the same psychological needs if it's the competitiveness or something like that. Or maybe he just needs to get his priorities in order. I lost my train of thought, but anyway, Atlas falls apart, he moves in with Zer0 and they support him while he figures his shit out.
