whenever im unsure of adding something to my wardrobe i just make these big collages with every reasonable combination i would pair with an certain item. most solid pieces are excluded because they're solids, you can shoehorn anything with a solid dress. my wardrobe is big enough to where i can make a 5+ combo rule before buying.

my hot take is that straight colormatching is for cosplaying noobs and if you know the very bare basics of color theory you'll do fine for everyday. i just align color temperature and its good enough.

"Found em hiding in the hull." The three interlopers were forced to their knees on the deck. Bucky snuck panicked looks from the corner of his eye at his two best friends. They'd stowed away seeking adventure and perhaps great fortune along with swashbuckling tales to take home. But these could very well be his last moments of seeing them and he'd never get to say just how sorry he was for filling their heads with such nonsensical grandeur.

"The Cap'n will have a gander at you lot. He doesn't think highly of lowly stowaways."

"No, I don't." A voice bellowed from the upper deck. Bucky risked a look at the booming baritone, but only got a silhouette in the darkening sky and a slapped head for his troubles. He resumed staring at the deck, listening to the clicks as the Captain made his way over to them.

Those few stairs and meters that separated them were Bucky's last to make peace with whatever God would hear his pleas, begging for the souls of his friends. But he couldn't focus enough to complete a prayer, distracted as he was by the clicking as it approached. Was this a double pegged pirate or something?

Bucky hysterically snickered at the thought, a shudder rolling full through his body, bending him over to his hands and knees.

The clicking stopped before him, and instead of the two shiny pegs of his imagining, he was staring at intricately crafted footwear, a ship's sails and flags easily identifiable. "No, a stowaway is not welcomed on this ship." That voice, softer now that it was nearer, still sounded like a canon ringing in Bucky's ears.

He again dared to track his eyes up at what could be the one to mete his death, gaze traveling slowly up the thick thighs visible through his breeches, up past the sashed and cinched waist, up the flat stomach, firm chest peeking through loose lace and finally up to a magnificently carved face, cheekbones high even without a smile.

Full lips parted to show a split amongst his top teeth as what surely had to be an angel, not just a man, spoke over the three again.

"If you're aboard this ship, you going to work. No free rides."

Okay that's all I got... oh yeah, and here's the shoes.

This is why I stopped buying Merrill hiking boots. They used to last years, and my most recent pair fell apart within 6 months.

Also for those of you who like sewing: new Singer machines are shit. Can’t trust the brand names anymore.

I fucking despise when things fake being higher quality than they are. I don't mean like slapping a slightly misspelled brand name onto an identical non-designer product for purely aesthetic reasons I mean like rivets or thread that are actually glued down rather than punched or stitched. Fake pockets on jeans that are actually just an extra seam. Heavy looking chain that's plastic or very soft flimsy metal rather than anything sturdy. I bought boots which looked like they had a stitched sole 8 months ago and lo and behold the glue holding the sole on is revealing itself by falling apart. You PUT a STITCH IN THERE. YOU HAD THE NEEDLE AND THREAD. AND YOU DIDNT ACTUALLY STITCH DOWN THE FUCKING SOLES. Oh it makes me so mad. Cheap cunts taking the aesthetics of durability or practicality while handing you a product that won't last you the year
