One afternoon, Neteyam had to watch over his youngest sister. You insisted on accompanying him, and he agreed, not minding the extra help. As you played with Tuk, the thought crossed Neteyam's mind that suddenly, you might just be the prettiest girl he'd ever seen.
EIOEWGHOEH EVERYTIME I SEE ASKS LIKE THIS I START GIGGLING AND KICKING MY FEET LMAOO 😭😭 this idea is super lovely, and tysm for the support, happy new years btw ♥♥ also if u look at the title, I based it off the eyedress song 🤭 italics are Neteyam’s thoughts btw!!

╭┈─────── ೄྀ࿐ ˊˎ-╰┈➤ ❝ [01/01/23] ❞
Neteyam sighed as he followed you and his sister. His parents had requested him to watch after her today, and you had overheard their chat. You asked Neteyam if you could accompany him because you enjoyed playing with Tuk, and he concurred. He's never been sure what his little sister liked to do, so your assistance was greatly appreciated.
Tuk squeezed your hand as you guided her towards the woods. The sun was shining brilliantly, and the foliage was soaking up the warmth. The trees were golden in hue, and you eventually found a large expanse of grass for you and Tuk to romp in.
Neteyam selected a tree to relax against, and settled comfortably while you and Tuk traveled only a little further away. He looked at you both, laughing and spinning around the woodland.
Neteyam was frightened for a moment and nearly leapt out of his seat when you lifted up Tuk to toss her into the air, but he calmed down when he saw how effortlessly you retrieved her again. He cannot help but be concerned about his siblings' welfare, but he knows you're excellent with children. You'd never do anything that would harm them.
Tuk's laugh resonated through the treetops as she pleaded with you to throw her again. She appeared to be having fun, but you suddenly realized that Neteyam must be bored sitting alone and observing.
You caught Tuk once more and gently lowered her on the grass. “Neteyam, why don’t you come here and play with us?”
He shook his head, and smiled. “I’m okay.”
You shrugged, and continued to play with his little sister.
...
You ultimately grew tired of tossing Tuk into the air, so you devised a brilliant plan.
“Tuk, why don’t I decorate your braids?”
She seemed perplexed for a moment, before you clarified that you were going to pick out some flowers to put in her hair. Her eyes sparkled at the thought, and she, of course, answered yes.
Tuk was seated in your lap as you meticulously ornamented her braids with an assortment of various, colorful flowers you had gathered. Neteyam maintained his gaze from a distance, and he began to grin to himself. He thought to himself that you were wonderful with kids, and his smile only grew even wider when Tuk gazed into her reflection in a nearby waterhole.
She giggled with delight at her enhanced appearance. “Thank you so much Y/N!”
Because she was so adorable, you pinched her cheeks.
Tuk scrunched up her nose, recoiling from the action. “Let me put flowers in your braids too!”
You agreed with a nod and sat down in front of her. You failed to notice Neteyam's intense stare at you as Tuk adorned your tresses with the leftover blossoms. The sunlight cascaded over you so sweetly that you gleamed like a gift from Eywa herself. Neteyam couldn't believe he'd never noted how stunning you were, and the feeling was further accentuated by the flowers in your hair. He massaged his burning cheeks with his palm; was he blushing?
Tuk's amusement at using you as her personal doll unabated, and the one idea orbiting Neteyam's short-circuiting mind, aside from how you looked straight out of his dreams, was how natural you were with children. Would you behave similarly with your children together, too?
Wait, what?
He had to mentally scold himself for thinking such a thing. Even though it felt improper to envisage it with you because you were only a friend, he couldn't peel the gaze of burning desire away from you. His brain begged him to suppress these feelings, but his heart and blazing cheeks revealed a different story.
His heart stopped. When you decided to turn around, you met his eyes that refused to look away. Neteyam sucked in a breath, fearful for a moment that you could see into his thoughts. He released a sigh of relief as you merely cracked a smile towards him, not knowing how he was really staring at you.
Then another terrifying thought had crossed his mind. Had he always liked you?
You veered away from Tuk to catch a glimpse of your reflection in the waterhole as Neteyam battled with himself internally. You clasped your hands together, praising Tuk on her work, and hugged her warmly. She was scooped up again and twirled around.
You sidled up to Neteyam after you had laid Tuk down, scratching the back of your neck. The sunshine from behind your figure seeped into his vision as he stared up at you through his thick lashes. He didn't mind that he could only see you.
You looked at him sheepishly. “How do I look?”
He snapped out of his reverie, and stuttered for a moment before registering that you asked him a question.
“So pretty.”
As you looked straight at him stupidly, he threw his palm over his mouth. You were both matching blushes as you were suddenly feeling blisteringly hot. Tuk giggled from behind you, her eyes narrowed at her brother.
It didn't help that she was whispering 'Neteyam's got a cruushh...'
Damn that child.
You turned around to hear what she said, and out of your peripheral vision, Neteyam lifted his fist at her, mouthing for her to quit speaking. When your gaze met hers you arched an eyebrow, but she had already closed her mouth and remained serious. She cracked an innocent smile at you.
You looked back at Neteyam, and decided that all of a sudden you had very, very important obligations to attend to at that moment.
“Well, I think I should get home now, haha!”
Neteyam stood up abruptly, laughing nervously. He was chanting in his head to speak confidently.
He stuttered instead. “Oh, me too, haha! Me and Tuk should be meeting with our parents again.”
You couldn't stop giggling uncontrollably like idiots, and while you were heading in opposite directions, you unintentionally bonked heads. He groaned in pain as he touched the tender region on his forehead, but apologized profusely when he noticed that you were also afflicted.
You couldn't bear how mortified you were, so you let out a torrent of apologies and hurried out of the woodland as swiftly as you could. You couldn't believe Neteyam had declared you were pretty!
In your wake, you left behind a trail of flowers. Neteyam discreetly grabbed and pocketed one. You know, for safekeeping.
There was just something about you.

Heeeyyy it's been a while since I've been here, but i got another idea.
So you remember me telling about the trope of readee being hated and suxh by the sully, well, instead of the usual 'sad reader wanting to fit in the family and gets hurt in the process', i actually thought of a reader who is overly calm and very strategic and honestly doesn't care about the fact that her family hates her, cause she spends more time with her friends and such and only comes when it's an emergency. She's also better than Neteyam at being a warrior that she trained many new warriors and has a very high spiritual connection with eywa, even more than Kiri
sully family x sister/daughter
Tumblr media
The sully family had live by two quotes one of them being " sully stick together" and second on being " that their family was a fortress" well that was all true but false. There was one family member that didn't get the same love and treatment like all the other children within the family and outside of the family. That family member is Jake and neytiri daughter, who never seem to with over her parents and even her siblings along with the rest of the clan. A child who does not get love and care will soon grow up by themselves and becoming independent, and might not return love and care to those who never gave it to them.
y/n " ........" you soon rolled out of bed way before any of your siblings wake up, even before your parents as well. This is the norm for you from such a young age you learned to stay out of your family way.
y/n " good morning grandmother" you soon went to the healer hut to see your grandmother as she was getting ready for the day.
mo'at " hello my granddaughter you are here early"
y/n " well it best if I stay out of toruk makto way along with neytiri as well" mo'at was the only few people who cared for the child, and over time grow dislike towards Jake and neytiri for their treatment of their daughter.
mo'at " yes it seems like goes well for you when you keep out of their way along with majority of the clan"
y/n " well I do stay around to make sure everyone is safe I even watch over tuk and younger kids when they play, far from their mothers watch but make sure not to get caught"
mo'at " you are might warrior my child and pure of heart as well"
y/n " well I only have a few more years of being a teen until I'm an adult and toruk makto will tell me to leave or kick me out"
mo'at " well you always have a place in my home my child"
y/n " thank you grandmother I might stay her a bit longer when I'm older then leave to seek out more of our world as eywa has been calling me"
mo'at " follow your heart my dear" you smile at your grandmother the happy mood had been changed, when the other healers had arrived young and old but none of them set towards the hut.
mo'at " don't stand there like fools come we have to get ready for the day"
y/n " it best if I take my leave grandmother my present make everyone uncomfortable"
mo'at " dear you can stay your sisters will be coming for thier lessons, and I will love you to join them"
y/n " I will like to honor your wish but that will lead to trouble for you grandmother, with our mighty leader I will see you later on" you bid your grandmother goodbye and soon left the hut, getting glares and hearing whispers but you didn't care you stopped care many years ago.
y/n " sisters good morning"
kiri "morning y/n"
tuk " big sister good morning I have missed you ... oh I mean good morning y/n" you sighed as tuk had been the only sibling to call you sister, but it seems like Jake and neytiri actions and words had finally made her start calling you sister.
tuk " are you here to help grandmother and learn with us"
tuk " that not fair or nice"
y/n " it okay little one I understand well I shouldn't hold you all up anymore, I pray to the great mother to watch over all three of you" the duo said nothing else as they soon walked away from you, but it seems like they felt bad about their behavior. You were walking around the village trying to get somewhere.
y/n " ......" you had realized you had forgotten something that home, and soon ran back to get it. You soon reached the home and went to your bed and grabbed it, the home smells like breakfast meaning the family had morning meal together. You had sighed it was normal for you to not have meals with your family at home.
y/n " time to get going" you had grabbed your armband and soon put it on before you walked out of your home, you soon made your way through the village once again.
navi man " there that girl again"
navi women " I still can't believe she toruk makto daughter she nothing like her parents or siblings, even kiri a better daughter then her"
navi man 2 " I have heard rumors that toruk makto has plans to send to live on her own"
navi women " well I heard him and neytiri were trying to find a boy to become her mate, they were given any man a good offer to be with her" you had gotten use to hearing all the hate and rumors made about you, over time when you were younger you tried you best to prove you were good enough but soon stopped over time. The feeling of not caring about other had started when you become 13 and stayed that way since then.
Jake " if we hunt on these grounds we will be able to bring back a good hunt" you soon came across Jake and his hunting group as he had your brothers and spider with him.
y/n " ........" one of the warriors had noticed you and soon whispered something to the group, as everyone soon looked at you.
Jake " y/n you are wake you were not up when we served morning meal, your mother works hard on these meals it rude to miss them"
y/n " I'm sorry sir but something came up that morning and I went to meet with grandmother"
Jake " sure whatever just stay out of trouble I don't need you causing anymore trouble"
y/n " yes sir"
lo'ak " hey sis well dad giving you the same lecture over and over again, when are you going to learn"
y/n " when are you going to stop being so hothead brother"
spider " haha she got you good bro"
neteyam " enough the people are watching stop picking on him y/n it rude"
y/n " what he started it"
neteyam " well you need to be the better person dad is stress enough he doesn't need more work about you, and have you been practicing you skills .... you know how dad and mom are"
y/n " I ....."
neytiri " yes have you been training or act like your child your younger sister has better skills then you"
neteyam " mom"
y/n " yes I have been practicing ma'am"
neytiri " not enough if you haven't pass the test like your brother"
y/n " I'm doing my best that all I can say"
Jake " enough y/n I and your mother have more important stuff to deal with verse your failing to caught up with the family .... just go and stay out of the way of everyone and everything" you didn't say anything else as you soon walked away. Your brother and spider said nothing else, even tsutey who was there said nothing as well.
norm " hey there kiddo off again"
y/n " yes same as usual"
max " had another fight with your dad again and mom"
y/n " yes it seems like I'm not enough for Jake sully and neytiri, always blaming me for stuff like some of the others and always judging me"
norm " he does care"
y/n " stopping lying we all know that false norm he doesn't care and he will never care" norm and max along with some other humans knew that was true and hate how you were treated, but they couldn't say and do that much unless they wish to start trouble with the clan.
max " you know one day you will do something amazing kid"
y/n " thank you max well I'm going off if you need Jake sully he about to leave with his hunting party along, with my brother and spider" you soon ran off getting far away from home tree and soon calling your ikran, she was not allowed to stay with the others because she looked different and was not wanted around.
y/n " come on girl lets go for a flight and to see what we will happen today" you soon took off on your ikran and started flying around the skies, feeling for free and happy. After some travel you soon reached a part the end of the forest and where the sea began. This was so a beautiful place.
y/n " ........" you were walking around the area exploring everything and having a bright smile on your face. Then you felt someone place their hands on your waist.
y/n " ahhh kawwney" you had turned around to see you friend kawwney standing there, he soon smirked at you. As he soon backed away from you and smiled.
kawwney " hello ma y/n I was waiting for your arrival"
y/n " well I'm help to me here it better then being at home right now" kawwney had become your friend many years ago when you both of you were small. He was not from the forest he was from reef clan the metkayaian, you had meet him when you were with your grandmother on trip and kawwney was with his mom. After that day the both of you had become the best of friends.
Kawwney " almsot there hold it like that ... okay now fire the spear" you soon fire the spear and soon hit the target as kawwney had cheered for you.
kawwney " good job you are doing a well job with using a spear and your breathing as well"
y/n " thank you"
kawwney “ what the matter”
y/n “ family problems once again” kawwney soon sighed he knew you didn’t have, a good relationship with your parents. He really didn't like your parents and clan for their treatment of you, and he really wished to do anything to make your life better.
Kawwney “ y/n you are perfect no matter what they have to say or do, they are blind fools for treating you like this”
Y/n “ thank you kawwney there are whispers going around that Jake will kick me out or true to marry to off not anyone who will take the offer”
kawwney “ I will take the offer or even he does kick you out if you leave come join my clan, out of all forest Navi we have seen we only likes a few … you make those names of people we like even my father likes you and wishes to have you stay with us”
y/n “ thank you kawwney you will make a great leader one day and bring pride to your clan and people”
kawweny “ thanks you and one day you will make a great tshiak and leader, as well maybe you can rule by my side as well”
kawwney “ here a gift my dear a necklace I made for you perfect for you, and it will symbolize our bond” you smile as kawwney as he place the necklace around your neck, kawwney soon pulled your closer to him not caring who saw them.
later at night
y/n " ......." you soon had arrived home after being gone all day with your friends having a fun time and practicing as well, you heard your family laughing and talking. Once she had stepped into the home everything had become silent as everyone looked at her.
Jake " it seems like you have decided to come home after all"
y/n " yes sir I was out doing some practice"
Jake " that seems like a bunch of lies young lady"
y/n " ........."
Jake " you know you will soon be an adult you will need to make, the right decision if you wish to have a place in the clan and family" you didn't say anything as you nodded your head.
neytiri " if you can't be a hunter then lets hope you can do something else for the clan and family, or maybe your father and brother can find you a good match to strengthen the family and clan" your siblings stay quite as they watched your parents speak to you.
Jake " y/n you can't stay act like a child for the rest of your life, soon you will have to grow up and become an adult and give up your childish for once and a while"
y/n " yes sir"
Jake " good now this conversation is over with I hope you will take I and your mother words to heart" you stayed silent you knew the day will come when your family will have to make the decisions, to allow you to stay in the family of to have you leave. You had taken some soon went to bed to stay out of your family happy moment together, you soon thought about the words Jake will say " sully stick together" and " that our family is a fortress". You soon scoffed at those words they were false words coming from a man that has failed to be father to his daughter. When the time will come you will make the decisions you want that will mean no longer being a sully, even if it mean parting some the life she had live for so many years but maybe it was time for some change in her life.

Together pt. 1 | Neteyam Sully
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
summary: [Request by Anon] Could you do a Neteyam x f!reader where she is the eldest child of Ronal and Tonowari? Being the eldest of two Olo’eyktan, they understand each other so much. One night, they confide in each other, Neteyam how he longs to come back to his home but can’t say anything as the perfect golden child and always have to watch out and take the blame for his siblings, even though he loves them more than anything. Reader confesses how much pressure and feels like a failure to her parents, and she is so deeply scared to death about her siblings that she loves more than anything. One thing leads to another, and they spend the night together (no smut, please). Comes the day after, and they do not speak to each other, so confused and refusing to acknowledge what happened. For fuck sake they are young and not mated. But Ewya has other plans for them and reader is pregnant. She tries to hide it especially from her parents as Neteyam and his family will probably be outcast and she will disappoint them so much.
gender: angst, hurt/comfort
pairing: Neteyam Sully x fem!metkayina!reader
warnings: characters are age up (18 years old), so I changed Neteyam’s age, allusion to sex, but NO SMUT, mention of young adult/teenage pregnancy (no romanization). Use of "y/n" maybe like three times.
a/n: my first request! And I took too long to write it (I'm sorry), that's why I have divided this in two parts. I have been a little stressed and feeling down, but I'm here. I hope anon and everyone enjoy this one. English is not my first language, please be kind <3.

“Where were you?” Neytiri asked her eldest son.
“Yeah. What happened to ‘keep an eye on your brother’?” his dad followed.
“Sorry, sir.” That was all Neteyam could say, even though his own answer was physically hurting him.
All the time, 24/7, he had to take care of Lo'ak. Maybe he didn't have the pressure of being the next Olo’eyktan anymore, but now, in a whole new clan, he had to prove everyone he was the mighty warrior, son of Toruk Makto. But his siblings didn't help. He loved his family, but he hated the way he had to be a third parent, especially when his younger brother almost died (which was definitely not his fault).
After the incident with Lo'ak, Neteyam decided he needed a break, so he walked, and walked, and walked until he found a spot where he could hide enough time until he felt better.
He liked the depth of the island because it reminded him of his home. The metkayina were mostly on the shores of the Island, so there was almost always no one in the forest. That's why Neteyam thought he had no company in the woods. Surprisingly, when he was enjoying his time alone (still upset) he heard a slight ‘thump’. It sounded like someone threw something at one of the trees.
Unlike home, this forest was not as full of vines or places to hide, but the green leaves didn’t allow to see around him easily. He forgot to bring his bow, but he always carried his knife, so he got into a defensive position and slowly, sharpening his hearing, he waited to hear another sound.
“Damn it.” a voice said.
Neteyam got closer carefully. The moonlight snuck into the middle of the treetops straight towards the person who was keeping him company, so he finally saw you.
The first thing he noticed was your beautiful hair braided on top and decorated with shells and ocean rocks, not forgetting your hairpiece, the one who reflected your status among the people. He recognized the elegant pearls your top had and the songcord that was hanging gracefully from your loincloth.
What was unusual and a little confusing was seeing your upset and distressed expression, since whenever he observed you from afar he looked at the relaxed and kind expression you gave to your people. Not like he was looking at you all the time.
Yo started to walk in circles, murmuring things he couldn't listen to. Apparently, his trained capacity of moving smoothly was so good you didn't notice his presence. When you turned around you immediately hiss and show your long sharp nails in a defensive way. When you recognize him, you let out a tired sight.
“Neteyam, you scared me.”
“Y/n, I see you.” He did the sign showing respect. “Sorry about scaring you, that was not my intention.”
Even if both of you were formal, actually, you guys were pretty familiar with each other. Because, of course, as the oldest daughter of the Olo’eyktan, you were there helping the Sullys when they arrive to the village and most of the time, when you weren't training with your mother, you liked to trained with them or just have a good time with them and your siblings.
“You seem pretty upset.” Neteyam talked first.
“Well, you too.”
Nobody said anything because no one wanted to show vulnerability. A thin tension started to build until you decided to let your guard down a little. It wasn't that you didn't trust Neteyam, but you weren't used to showing people when something was wrong. On the other hand, Neteyam wasn't used to talking with others when he wasn't feeling well.
“It's just… it sucks, you know?” You said, sitting on top of a big rock.
“I know, it does.” Both of you chuckled. “If you need to talk with someone, it would be just between us.”
“I don't want to bother you, it's stupid.”
“If the future Tsahik is upset, it should be pretty serious.” He said with a teasing smirk. That made you smile a little bit.
After a little silence, you started. “First of all, I love my siblings with all my heart. I don't have anything against them and I don't know what I would do if something happens to them. I also love my parents, but sometimes mom and dad put so much pressure on us, especially me. I mean, sometimes I get it, I'm the future spiritual leader, but I'm their daughter too, you know?”
“Yeah, it's like they forget you are still a child who wants to go home too and suddenly you are the third parent.” You looked at him with worried eyes, knowing why he was saying that and feeling someone was finally understanding you. Neteyam was now sitting next to you.
“Ao'nung acts like the king already when he has a whole pad to follow until he becomes Olo’eyktan. He's mean to your siblings at the point he almost killed Lo'ak today.” You said, upset. “Sorry about that, by the way.”
“You don't have to be sorry, it's not your fault. That's the problem, it's not my fault either. Why do we have to take responsibility just because it involves our younger brothers? Lo'ak is old enough to know what is right and wrong, but I have to take responsibility for his skxawng ass.”
“They might really think we are the third parent. Apparently we are always with them and we can control everything they do.”
“Like if we were some kind of psychics.”
“What's a psychics?” You asked a little bit confused. Neteyam saw your cute face, trying to figure it out if that was a good thing.
“Sorry.” He laughed. “They are people who can see the future.”
“Oh.” You whispered. “Yeah, like if we were some kind of psychics!” You said, this time a little bit more upset. “Wait, isn’t Tsahik some kind of psychics?” You looked at each other and then burst into laughter.
Minutes passed and you started to talk about other things. It was magical how you two had so much in common and understood each other. Neteyam was so happy he could finally get close to you, well, closer than all the days and nights all of you (metkayina and omaticaya siblings) swam and trained together.
Under the moon, surrounded by beautiful plants, you lay on the ground and start joking. Like that, Neteyam looked more relaxed than you've ever seen him. Most of the time he was the “Mighty Warrior”, but you liked to see him like that, like his true self.
“You know you look handsome when you smile?” You said all of a sudden.
“What?” Neteyam thought he imagined your sweet voice saying that, just like in his dreams.
“Sorry.” You said a little embarrassed, sitting down.
“No, no. It's okay.” He smiled. “It's just… Nobody has ever told me something like that.” You two blushed. “You are beautiful, you know that?” You looked at him surprised. “Oh, c'mon, don't tell me it's the first time someone tells you this.”
“Boys always want to be close to me so they can court me in the future. They want an opportunity with the future Tsahik, not with the real me.”
“Well, they are stupid.”
Neteyam was sitting down already, so he took his time admiring your face closely.
“Don't do that, you are making me nervous.”
“Oh, you are always making me nervous, pretty lady.” You smiled. “Every time you are close my heart can't take it, it feels like I'm gonna faint.”
You began to get closer too, watching his lips with attention. You felt very nervous, but that didn't stop you from closing all distance and kissing him shyly and sweetly. Neteyam was surprised, but he couldn't deny he was waiting for this moment since the day you helped him with his breathing teaching, realising he liked you too much.
His hands rested on the sides of your jaw, deepening the kiss, while you played a little bit with his hair. That triggered something in Neteyam, making the kiss no longer sweet, but a little hungrier. You let out a surprised little noise. He guided you, leaving you lying on the floor again, with him on top of you.
“Can I…? You know we don't need to do this if you don't want to.”
“Please…” You whispered before he kissed you again.
The next day you flatly refused to talk to or even see Neteyam, because you were confused and angry with yourself. You weren't going to lie, you enjoyed every second of the night you spent with Neteyam. You felt comfortable, loved, and safe, but the problem was that you two weren't a couple and you weren't even courting. Your mother had always told you that the first time had to be special because Eywa was the one who unites all mates and your father had assured you that you should not give yourself body and soul to someone unless you truly loved each other because, otherwise, you could get hurt.
“I'm stupid, I'm so so so stupid.” You scolded yourself alone after Neteyam greeted you from across the beach while he was fishing with his father, and you walked away completely ignoring him.
Neteyam was so happy when you two woke up that morning and greeted each other with a smile. But when you got away every time he tried to talk to you, he realised maybe something bad happened.
“I hope you don't think we didn't notice you were not in the marui last night.” His father scolded again, when they were preparing their knives.
He told him he had fallen asleep by accident while searching for beads for his mother, like the first time he arrived in the morning when the only one awake was his dad.
All day and night he felt bad about what happened with you. He thought about it a lot and came to the conclusion that maybe, even if it was the best thing that happened to him in his short life, it was a mistake not to have done things right with you. He should have asked your parents for permission, he should have courted you and given you gifts until you said yes. And now he messed up.
Three weeks passed in which you filled yourself with tasks to avoid going out with your siblings and the Sullys. You felt bad. You missed singing with Tsireya, hunting with Ao'nung, walking to the shore with Rotxo, joking with Lo'ak, swimming with Kiri and feeding ilus with little Tuk, but what you missed the most was Neteyam’s warm company. Still, you refused to approach them fearing that Neteyam would try to talk about what happened that night and that the others would notice that something was wrong.
“Aren't you gonna eat your breakfast, little fish?” Your father asked.
“I'm okay, I need to go to the shore. The best shells are usually hidden deep in the sand, so I prefer to look now so as not to miss the daylight."
But, we don't need too many shells.” Tsireya said, helping her mother with the sleep mats.
“We might not need too many, but we need the best for our clothes for the mating ceremony of Ae'k and Payu next week.”
You lied, so you didn't have to accept the fact that the food smelled bad for you. You didn't want to offend your parents, who spend so much time cooking together, especially when you were the only one who seemed to have that issue. When you were out of the marui, your little sister caught up to you before you got any further.
“Wait, sister. Is everything alright?”
“Yes, why?”
“I don't know. You seem distant since a couple of weeks ago, even Ao'nung noticed. You don't have time to hang up or train with us, but I was hoping you weren't mad at us. The Sullys asked us what we did to you.
“Oh, Reya, I'm so sorry. I'm not mad or something like that, I just have a lot of responsibilities lately, but as soon as I have time I'll go with you guys, okay?”
“Okay.” She smiled, still a little worried.
Neteyam saw you on the beach, searching for something in the sand. He considered approaching you, but decided he didn't want to bother you.
“What's happening between the two of you?” Kiri asked after a few minutes where Neteyam would peek at your direction every so often.
“What? What are you talking about?” Neteyam asked, clearly avoiding the topic.
“Come on. At first I thought Ao'nung and Tsireya did something to make her mad, like Lo'ak and Tuk, but I can see the way you want to talk to her and she's… basically ignoring you.”
Kiri's words hurt him a little, but he knew she was right. He hesitated. He didn't want to talk about what happened, he felt somehow he was disrespecting your privacy, but he couldn't take it anymore.
“Sorry, Kiri. I have to talk with her.”
He decided he had to talk to you since her sister noticed something was wrong. Now it was just her, but it was a matter of time until the other ones noticed.
Neteyam walked to your figure kneeling on the sand. You were so invested with your shell searching that you didn't notice him approaching.
“Y/n, can we talk?” He asked not wanting his voice to tremble.
“I am kind of busy right now. Sorry, Neteyam.” The tone of voice you used wasn't rude, but a little bit cold.
“Please, we need to talk about what happened that night.”
“Nothing happened that night.” You answered, stopping your movements, but not looking up at him.
“Really? Nothing happened?” He asked, now hurt.
You sighted tired and frustrated. You weren't feeling good, but that wasn't an excuse to hurt him. “Sorry, I didn't mean it like that. It's just… it's complicated and now I don't feel like talking.” You answered, standing up. When you were on your feet, you trembled a little, noticing the way your vision got blurry.
“Wow, are you okay?” Neteyam asked, worried, holding you by the elbows to keep you from falling. When you looked at his beautiful golden eyes you almost gave up. Somehow you felt the need to take refuge in his arms.
“I'm fine. Thank you.” Like that you walked to the marui where the clan kept the materials needed to make clothes. Fortunately, it was empty.
“Please. It's okay if you feel uncomfortable, it's completely understandable. But we can't avoid the topic forever.” He said, unaware of how your world started spinning. You kneeled on a mat, distracting yourself by organising the shells in the right place. “We need to talk. Whenever you are ready, but, please. Kiri already noticed something.”
“Neteyam…” your view turned black for a moment and you didn't know how you ended up lying on the mat with Neteyam kneeling next to you, holding your head.
“Hey, hey. Y/n, please wake up. Open your eyes for me.”
“What happened?”
“I don't know. You fainted for a few seconds. Did you eat this morning?”
“Not really.” The light was hurting your eyes, so it was difficult to open your eyes completely.
“Damn it. Why? You can't be doing things like that. You need to eat, otherwise you are gonna feel sick.”
Then everything made sense. No, you weren't feeling like that because you didn't eat. It was the third time in the week you felt like that. You puked once, when taking care of the youngest ones of the clan, after you played with them. Gladly no one saw you because you ran to the woods on time.
Your disgust for the food was definitely new. You never felt rejection of your mother's food. Not even when you were sick as a child. At those times you eat different things, but never you decide not to eat.
Your mother… Your mother was feeling like that now that she was expecting…
“Oh, my Eywa.” You whispered, sitting down and covering your mouth. “No. No. No. No.”
“What? What is it?” Neteyam asked, now worried to death about your sudden change of mood.
“Neteyam… I think I am pregnant.”
Neteyam and you talked in that marui for hours, sitting down a little far from each other. You knew you wouldn't have privacy in any other place, besides the woods, but you didn't want to go there, for obvious reasons. The metkayina didn't enter the marui because it wasn't the day of the week to make clothes. So you two had plenty of time to discuss your little... situation.
“Are you completely sure?” Neteyam whispered, looking at the mat.
“Well, we just can be completely sure by asking my mother, and we are not gonna do that.” You bit your lip, anxious. “But I had the symptoms and I had never felt like that, not until… until you.” You said, hugging your knees embarrassed.
Neteyam looked at you at the mention. He knew it wasn't the right moment, but he liked how you had said that. And you looked so beautiful like that.
“Well… then, we are gonna take responsibility for our actions.” He said, decisively. “Do you want to?” He asked, changing his tone, now nervous for your answer.
“I don't know… I mean, what other option do we have? But I don't want to have them just because that's how it should be. I feel bad.” You said, rubbing your now flat belly. “And I don't know if I am prepared.”
“I know. I don't feel prepared either.”
“Wait, you wanna… you wanna be with me in this?”
“Of course I want to.” He stood up and sat next to you. He took your chin so you could make eye contact. “I would love to if you want it and if you let me.”
All you could do was hug him tight. He embraced you and his scent was everything you needed to feel safe and calm again.
“Now… What's our plan?” He asked.

I've changed Tuk's hairstyle because (as you can see🤭) it is happening in the future (Yeah, Tiri is pregnant, again)
And unfortunately (I don't know why) my phone flattened this drawing - Tiri looks more flattened than girls 🥲

Sneak peek: Tilayro
Tumblr media
A huge crowd was forming in the middle of the village, tonowari, ronal, mo’at, jake and neytiri had to stop what they were doing to see what was going on.
To tonowari and ronal’s horror, they see their son ao’nung fighting with the olo’eyktans son, neteyam.
“Hey hey hey!” jake called out. He and tonowari quickly get through the crowd and towards their own sons. Both of them were a bloody mess. Neytiri notices tilayro and tsireya crying in distress of what they witnessed. Kiri was there to comfort them both but neytiri still heads over to make sure they are ok.
“What happened?!” tonowari demanded to know from ao’nung.
His son had a bloody nose, scratches on his shoulders and a black eye forming already. But his words seemed to fall on deaf ears as ao’nung was ready to pounce on neteyam again.
Neteyam in return looked ready for round two until tilayro got in their way.
“You!! You mated with him?!” ao’nung shouted, accusing her like she did a heinous act.
Tilayro was shaking but stood her ground, protecting neteyam.
“I did! We mated before Eywa! It is done and there is nothing you can do about it!”
Ao’nung can only stare at her, as thought she betrayed him in the worst way possible. He couldn't form any more words once she said it.
“Oh shit…” was what came out of kiri’s mouth, quickling piecing together what is happening.
Jake, while still holding neteyam back, stared at neytiri who understood what he was feeling.
[I'm getting a sense of major deja vu right now] he thought.

"My Yawnetu"
Tumblr media
Pairing: A’Onung x Reader Song: My Vine - Wasia Project TW: Mentions of war Y/N: She/Her Omaticaya reader, daughter of Tsu’Tey. Word Count: 1K Summary: After her father's death, a young girl named Y/N comes to live with the Sullys. A'Onung instantly attaches himself to her. One day, she finds him by the water, clearly disturbed, and he invites her into his mauri pod for a talk. Through their conversation, A'Onung wants her to be kept safe. Y/N trusts him, and they share that emotional moment each other. In many instances, the speech is in Na'vi, but any word that appears in red is a Na'vi word which I have deliberately not translated, for effect. It is also important to note that traditionally it would be very common for a female Na'vi to take on her mother's name as a part of her own; however, I bucked this trend by making Y/N share Tsu'Tey's name. Queues are a matter of great importance, although they do not contain any sexual action in the mating processes.
Tumblr media
Y/N POV: (Metkayina Shores)
It had been about 16 years since the war that had taken my father's life when I was still a baby. Now, I was among the Sullys. Jake became my new father and Neytiri my new mother. And siblings; Kiri, Lo'ak, Neteyam, and Tuk. I loved them so much, but pieces of my father were with me wherever I went. His very essence was even woven into the making of my name, Y/N te Suli Tsu'Tey'ite.
As Jake tried to utter on behalf of Uturu, the Tsahik of the clan quickly grabbed Kiri's hand up high. "These children aren't even real Na'vi," she said, and Kiri quickly drew her hand back, whispering, "Yes, we are." "They carry demon blood," Ronal said, this was met with a wave of gasps through the rest of the clan.
Jake raised his arm to shoulder height and shouted, "Listen, I come from the sky people, but now I am one of the Na'vi. We can change. We will change. Right?" His voice implored as he petitioned his case. The clan's Olo'eyktan looked to his partner, the Tsahik, who after a few moments nodded.
"Our son A'Onung and daughter Tsireya will take your children under their wings." Tonowari, the Olo'eyktan, listened as A'Onung groaned, "Why, Father?" but he quickly shushed him. "Come, I want to show you around our village," Tsireya chimed brightly.
Tumblr media
(Dock, Months Later)
"Tsamsiyu hi'i" A'Onung settled beside me, the nickname he had grown fond of, small warrior. Among the Sully children, he held a special respect for just two of us, me and Neteyam. I could see he was starting to warm up to the others, but it would take some time. "A'Onung," I greeted him, letting my feet dangle in the water.
"It wasn't my intention for your brother to disappear," he said, trying to sound apologetic. "Your intentions don't change the outcome; you let him down," I said, holding his gaze. "What truly matters now is how you plan on making amends." Many of the Omaticaya that knew my father said that I reminded them of him.
A’Onung POV:
Her Tanhi shimmied enchantingly beneath the starlit sky. The past few months she and her family had been here, I found myself growing fond of her much like how Lo'ak had become close to my sister. But what would the future hold? If Y/N and her family were fleeing from conflict, would she have to leave once more?
“You know… a few young hunters and I are going hunting tomorrow, and we could really use a Tsamsiyu to lead the way,” I suggested. Hopefully she will join us. "My father was the warrior, I have a big legacy to uphold," she said, her eyes once more straying down to the water.
"Absolutely, you and Neteyam are really the closest to warriors among our peers, which is why I value both of you so highly." I said with my eyes upon the water beside her. "My father fought with Toruk Macto; he was once the apprentice to the Olo'eyktan before taking on that role himself for a time until his passing. Dad was both Toruk Macto and Olo'eyktan. Great destinies lie ahead of Neteyam and me to fulfill. You, too, are the son of your father, the Olo’eyktan; do you not want to be just like him?” She replied.
"My father thinks I’m a disappointment," I revealed, right before she was taken aback in horror. "That is not even close to the truth. People make mistakes, yet those do not define them as disappointments. You hold the key to the future of your clan, and you do the best you can with what you are provided. That is far from being a disappointment. I know your father knows this, too," she said, placing her hand reassuringly on my shoulder.
In that swift moment, my lips touched hers, a moment I had been waiting for after months of forbearance, terrified of being turned away. But just as she seemed ready to return it, she caught my shoulders and gently pushed me back. "A'Onung… I can't." With that, she hurried off, leaving me standing on the dock feeling utterly foolish.
Tumblr media
Y/N POV: (Sully Mauri Pod)
Jake sat beside me, swinging his feet over the edge of the water. "So, you're not fond of him?" he asked casually. I shook my head, spilling my tears down my cheeks. "It's not that, Dad. He's just the only boy I really ever felt a connection with." I said this during a moment of my weakness as his hand rubbed my back in comfort.
"Sometimes, I wish that Tsu'Tey were here. He had this hard exterior, but I think he would be great in these talks with you." He took a deep breath. "I don't even remember him, and I feel this deep sense of loss." I said, hiding my face in my hands. "I can only imagine how you feel, sweetheart." Jake replied.
"Listen, if you really love the son of Olo'eytan, then go ahead, darling. Let our past experiences not be your stumbling block," Jake said as he looked into my eyes. "But suppose I end up hurting him…" I replied, doubt setting in. "That would not be a problem if he truly loves you," he assured.
Tumblr media
(Water Shore)
"The hunting party is on the way back." A'Onung and several other boys broke the water surface. I had been waiting for them to get back, but A'Onung seemed to be in a bad mood as he walked right past me in silence.
I would not let this bother me; I needed to take control. I reached for his wrist, and when he turned toward me, I pressed my lips against his. Sure enough, he released the fish in his hand, pulled me close to his body by my waist, and kissed me back. "A'Onung, come on, you can have your moment with your yawnetu later. We need to bring these fish to your dad." A boy said, appearing from the water.
Losing his hold on me gently, A'Onung said to me, "Join me; we can chat at my mauri pod." Then he just picked up the fish that lay at his feet, grasped my hand, and set off.
Tumblr media
(Olo’eyktan Mauri Pod)
Once everyone relocated to give A'Onung and me some space, we sat cross-legged on the ground facing each other. "What was that all about? Just yesterday, you didn't seem too keen on the idea of us kissing," he asked, staring down into my eyes, and I felt my nerves.
“It would seem that conflict is laid at my family's doorstep; I wouldn't want to put you in harm's way…" I whispered, eyes cast to my hands. "But if that is so, then who watches your back?" he repeated softly, his fingers intertwining into mine. "Let me be your protector," he said, his eyes locking with mine in a heated stare.
"Let me protect you… let me be your shadow that follows you." He repeated, as his hand stroked my cheek barely. "My shadow…" I repeated, trying to understand.
A'Onung looked at me, a soft blush coloring his cheeks. "I want to pick you, but I hope you'll pick me back…," he admitted. "I… I choose you, A'Onung," I replied, reaching out to show him my kuru, mirroring his gesture.
With just a few moments of hesitation, we wrapped our kurus together in tsahelu and were now linked as mates. Within the bonded mind-link, flash images of our memories played within one another's minds until we released our kurus.
We knelt together, embracing each other tightly, and he whispered, "My yawnetu, all would I give to keep you safe." With that, we leaned in for a kiss.

I think I may write a Neteyam x Reader story, having the reader be Tsu'Tey's daughter. This will be a bit different since Tsu'Tey would still be alive in this story, so look out for that!

softdom!jake fucking the reader from behind but hes a moaning whimpering mess while he’s praising you and calling you a good girl for taking him so well 🤭🤭(backstory: he had a long day and is kind of frustrated and comes home to fuck his baby 🤭)
Two smuts in one day? Wild.
Tumblr media
warnings → NSFW (mdni), p in v! Unprotected sex, soft!dom Jake, breeding kink.
word count → 0.4k
Earlier today, he came into your shared hut, all sweaty and tired from the events of todays raid. His eyes were basically begging to fuck you. So you let him.
He now has you in doggy style, rutting into your soaking cunt relentlessly. Your a moaning mess, tears brimming in your eyes from the amount of pleasure he was giving you. Jake was nearly the same, whimpering and whining at the feeling of your tight walls sucking him in perfectly. He was trying so hard to suppress the moans that we’re trying to force their way out of him. Instead of continuing his loud whimpering, he chose to praise you, in every way you can be praised. “Such a good girl, all pretty n’ drunk on my cock yeah?” “Doing so good for me baby girl.”
He lovingly runs his rough hand along your side, from your waist all the way up to your tit before giving it a soft squeeze. You moan at the feeling of this index finger gliding over your hard nipple. He decides to give your bud a soft pinch before going back to rubbing your side. His other hand was gripping hard on your hip, sure to leave pretty purple bruises for him to admire the next day.
He soon begins to whimper again, feeling himself near his orgasm. He speeds up his pace, now pounding into you like there’s no tomorrow. His tip kissing your cervix perfectly, almost making you go absolutely feral. He lets out a loud groan, finally feeling himself tip over the edge, pumping his load into your tired cunt. You moan at the feeling of his cum painting your walls a pretty white. “Gonna have you full of a mini me yeah, girl?”
“Mhm, oh fuck p- please.. jake!” You feel your own orgasm come crashing down on you, legs shaking as your walls clench around his length. He nearly cums again at the feeling of your pussy fluttering around his cock, watching as a white ring of your mixed juices gathers around your hole. Your moans soon die down as your orgasms ride out. He wraps his arm firm around your waist, hoisting you up in his lap to face him, his dick still twitching inside of you.
You both sit for a bit, sweaty bodies sticking together as you try to even out your breathing. A few silent minutes pass by before you lift your head from his chest.
“Round two?”

you're currently carrying 'avatar x reader' with your absolutely amazing works, so i have another request for you, love, if that's alright <33
no idea how to properly start this, but basically neteyam and y/n are a thing- and even though y/n is like super grateful for his protection, lately she's been feeling just like another of his many responsibilities, not a partner. so they grow a bit distant, to that point where even his family notices, and when they try to talk it out they get into an argument. pretty much angst (because i love it👹👹👹) !!!!!!!!!!!!! and it's totally up to you if it ends with fluff or angst. oh and i thought maybe it could take place when they arrive to the metkayina clan, because it would mean y/n left everything behind just for neteyam (and his amazing family ofc🤞🤞🤞), but the way he begun to treat her, makes her think she might regret that decision= more aNGST‼️‼️but that's up to you- whatever you're more comfortable with :)) okay, byeee!!! have a nice day!!!
(i'm @introvert-pansexual btw😧)
Not A Responsibility
Tags: Neteyam x Omaticaya!Reader, Oneshot, Fem!Reader, Angst, Fluff At The End (Not Really)
Warnings: Tiny Bit Toxic, Mentioned Jealousy
Ever since you left the Omaticaya clan for your boyfriend, you’ve felt suffocated by his overprotective nature. You’re his partner, not just another one of his responsibilities or trouble-seeking siblings. And it hurts, knowing that he treats you like you are less his mate than burden. You think you might regret leaving your home for him.

╭┈─────── ೄྀ࿐ ˊˎ-╰┈➤ ❝ [08/01/23] ❞
You and Neteyam have been dating. For a long time, actually.
You grew up together, and the tight friendship you built inevitably developed into feelings of attraction. You were anticipated to be mated to one another, and the Sully family cherished you.
Jake used to torment his son before you began dating. He'd make remarks about how you two reminded him of him and Neytiri, and how Neteyam had to entice you with the superb wooing genes he inherited from him. Neytiri would slap him on the back of the head and order him to be quiet. However, she couldn't argue with Jake's teasing. A lovely girl like yourself resembled a second daughter to her; if her son didn't put a ring on it, she would drag him by the ear.
You felt your throat constrict and your eyes burn with tears the day Neteyam informed you Jake was forcing his family to pick up and move. How were you supposed to just carry on and forget about your relationship?
You couldn't. As a result, you left with him. You would fly for a thousand days on an Ikran, cross vast oceans, and abandon your home a million times more for Neteyam and his family. Neteyam considered himself extremely fortunate to have you.
However, after finally settling in with the Metkayina, you began to sense a twinge of foreboding. You felt homesick, and you knew that relocating to a whole new clan would be difficult. Neteyam appeared to be taking it the hardest though, so you did not want to complain.
You noted how his shoulders tensed more frequently, or how he wore a faint grimace when alone. You were outsiders in this place, and they treated you as such. Neteyam couldn't help but be uptight whenever the olo'eyktan's son harassed his siblings, but he lost his composure when he sought to bother you.
Or, more accurately, flirted with you. Neteyam had a reputation for being a jealous boyfriend. You and his family were fully cognizant of this, but to the casual onlooker, he always appeared calm and collected. When Aonung penetrated your personal space, you recognized how Neteyam would surreptitiously linger nearby, or extended an arm around you. It drove him insane.
When he first started acting that way, you would coo at him and envelop him in your embrace while calling him sweet. You believed his protectiveness over you was adorable, and it was flattering to say the least. Neteyam, on the other hand, had nothing to be concerned about. You were solely interested in him.
...
Regardless of your unconditional affection, it seemed that the more Neteyam stayed in the Awa'atlu village, the more awful he grew.
Irrespective of Aonung's unwanted attention (which had long since faded), nothing made Neteyam happy anymore. When you tried to kiss him, he would either accept it reluctantly or brush you away. If you wished to spend time with him, he would acquiesce, but would eventually talk about his siblings or babysit. Nonetheless, he would be fiercely protective of where you went or what you did.
You couldn't condemn Neteyam for being nervous and tense all the time, but it seemed that no matter what difficulties you were encountering in your relationship, he began to treat you as if you were just another one of his trouble-making siblings. Another chore added to his long list of responsibilities.
Neteyam’s protection used to be charming, but it was now just smothering. It seemed like you were so distant from your boyfriend, yet also so close to him. You began feeling less like his partner, yet it also caused you to feel guilty when you were emotional in front of him. You knew you had no right to complain because you left the Omaticaya clan by your own volition. How could you grumble about it when your lover was enduring greater struggles?
This was a recipe for disaster.
...
You no longer felt comfortable communicating your concerns to your boyfriend. Each time you sought to bring up your reservations about how Neteyam was treating you, he was too preoccupied with his own life to give much heed to your conversation or relationship.
You eventually gave up on your efforts to work it out. If he were to behave distant from you, you would respond with the same energy. You two gradually drifted away, the gulf between you expanding by the day. Neteyam's family became quite alarmed when they noticed how seldom you two were interacting nowadays.
Jake and Neytiri encouraged Neteyam to try to spend some quality time with you again, and that he could set his other obligations aside. They'd maintain a close eye on their other children so Neteyam wouldn't have to fret about them.
He agreed begrudgingly, unable to say no to his parents. You were thrilled when he sought you out for a casual date, the first in a long time. There was a nagging whisper in the rear of your mind that gnawed at you, warning you he just wasn't the same, but you dismissed it. He'd come to find you, hadn't he?
...
You were deflated throughout the duration of your date. The longer time passed, the more you could feel the ominous mood rattling deep in your bones. During your time together, all Neteyam could think about was how much this move had stressed him out, and now he had to be concerned about paying you attention as well. It was apparent from his expression that he was not enjoying himself.
You couldn’t take it anymore.
You snapped at his indifferent attitude. “Can you stop zoning out and actually listen to me for once?”
If Neteyam was trying to fake a smile before, he definitely wasn’t anymore. “What do you mean? This whole entire date I’ve been only listening to you!”
You scoffed at this. His mind was in a whole other place for the entire duration of it. “You never have time for me anymore, and when you do, you act like I’m some burden on your to do list!”
Neteyam felt his blood go hot. Before he could stop himself, he began to yell. “It’s not my fault I can’t give you attention all the time! My parent’s are always putting pressure on me to make sure everyone’s looked after and well behaved, including you!”
Then, his voice dropped to a cruel whisper. “Do you think I wanted to go on this date?”
That was the juncture at which you felt so enraged that you couldn't prevent the tears from cascading down your flaming cheeks. Neteyam's countenance didn't alter in response to your outburst, which only served to make you angrier.
You practically screamed at him. “You’re such a dickhead! You’ve changed, Neteyam.” You began sobbing.
“The only reason I’m mad isn’t because you don’t give me enough attention, it’s because every time we’re together you completely neglect my feelings! You make everything about you!”
He remained still as you wiped your angry tears away, then jutted a finger against his chest. “For someone who acts like they’re always looking after everyone else, you’re so incredibly selfish with me.”
In the face of your harsh comments, Neteyam remained silent and unmoving. He was speechless; he didn't know what to say. The rage was still coursing through his veins, but all he could do was hearken to your never-ending shouts.
Your voice dropped an octave, and you glared into his eyes which you once looked so fondly into. “I’m not another responsibility of yours. I regret ever following you here. If I knew you’d turn out like this, I would’ve saved myself the heartache and found a new partner instead of leaving everything behind for someone that won’t even give me the time of day. You could at least try to act happy to be around me.”
That made his heart break, and he could feel the tears beginning to gather in his eyes too. He couldn’t believe you would have ever found it in you to say that to him. “Fine, do what you want. I tried to spend time with you, and you turned it into an argument.”
He pivoted on his heel, and stormed away from you on the threshold of tears. When he was far enough away, he let the tears flow.
Your voice carried from halfway across the beach. “Fine then, if you want me so bad, I guess I’ll go!”
You, too, turned your back on him and dashed away to find somewhere to cry privately. You felt like such a child.
...
It was growing dark, and eclipse was approaching.
You still hadn’t returned to the marui you shared with the Sully family, and Jake was beginning to get worried. “Where’s Y/N?”
That question was obviously directed towards Neteyam, but he remained sulking instead of replying.
Neytiri’s patience was thinning with her son’s out of character behavior. “That girl doesn’t know her way around the Awa’atlu village. She could be lost!”
Jake rubbed the bridge of his nose, glancing at the sky. He shared Neytiri’s sentiment, as his son still wasn’t talking. What the hell happened on your date?
Although Neteyam appeared furious, he was actually feeling quite guilty. Your reality check tugged at his heartstrings, and now you could be injured, or worse, lost, because he told you to be. He sprung from his seat and raced out the marui, unable to sit still any longer.
Jake's shouts for his son to return at that instant went unfulfilled. Even if Neteyam was angry with you, he was still afraid that something awful would happen, and he'd never forgive himself if it did.
Neteyam called your name as he ran throughout the village. However, no matter how much terrain he covered, or how many times he bellowed your name into the frigid night air, your voice did not respond. He was sweating nervously now, terrified about not being able to locate you. What if he never found you?
Those fears, however, were quickly dispelled into the wind whipping behind him as he hurried towards the sound of sniffling behind a nearby tree. Neteyam scratched the back of his neck, unsure what to do. As he drew near to your weeping figure, he stepped on and snapped a twig, capturing your attention.
You spun around to investigate the source of the noise, only to discover that it was your idiot boyfriend. Neteyam urged you to relax, then sighed and settled besides you.
Before you could protest against him taking a seat next to you, he hugged you tightly and apologized.
“I’m sorry. I’m the way I am right now because I don’t want anything bad happening to you, or my siblings. I can’t imagine ever losing you.”
You let your rage disappear, leaning into his embrace as he continued to talk.
“I know I’ve been a real idiot lately, and I’ll try to show up more in our relationship. My personal problems aren’t your fault.”
Your prior resentment faded as he brushed your tears away with his thumb, and you buried your face in his chest, allowing your arms to wrap around his midriff.
“I’m sorry for saying I wished I stayed behind and found someone new. That was a lie, I’d never be able to move on.”
Neteyam felt his chest tighten at your words, and merely hugged you tighter. “I’ll never hurt you again.”

You had respect and honored Tsu’tey role in the clan was warrior and clan lifestyle. Even due Tsu’tey and many other Navi were coming, to understand their human mates or friends there were some stuff they had fully understand.
Y/n “ ……..” you had waken up early in your mates home as, you need to get back to the human base for more oxygen packs. You soon removed your husband arms around you and got out of bed, making sure to cover your husband in the blanket.

tsu'tey " okay I just worry"
y/n " there is nothing to worry about my husband" you had kissed tsu'tey check making him smile, the mighty warrior had never thought he will find love until he meant you. He also thought he will never have a family until you and him welcome spider into your family.
y/n " I will see you to later kiddo"
spider " yes mom see you later" you soon left the home and head off towards the human base, you were able to see there were enough oxygen packs for everyone and new ones being made as well.
max " hey there y/n it good to see you"
y/n " hey max"
norm " good you were here your avatar body is fixed and perfect for you to use again,if you wish to use your avatar body again"
y/n " I was just having a conversation about my avatar body with tsu'tey .... you know I will love to use my avatar body again"
max " good lets get you ready" you had nodded your head as you soon followed max and norm towards the avatar link bods. The team along with you had gotten everything ready and soon enough the process had happened.
y/n " wow it worked perfectly"
norm " good to see you in blue again"
y/n " happy to be back as my avatar I missed having times like this life with mask, all the times get tiring after a while" the two man laugh at your statement, and now you were back as navi walking around the base and helping around.
norm " I still can't believe you married or mated in navi terms with tsu'tey"
y/n " he a good husband and person he makes me happy"
norm " I still remember when grace found out you and tsu'tey were becoming closer then friends... oh she was so shocked"
y/n " oh yes I remember that day she said she was shocked that, I and tsu'tey were becoming so close then she had thought she even predicted that we will become a couple and she was right"
Scientist " hey none of us knew we will be making our lives here on pandora, and that some of us will become very close to the navi"
max " so should we be expecting you and tsu'tey to be having some kids, and have more avatar and navi kids running around here with Jake kids and spider"
Scientist 2 " that will be funny will they be like tsu'tey or be like you"
y/n " we have had the conversation of kids before so maybe"
max " well do what you want"
y/n " thank you max"
Scientist " hey quick question for you y/n"
y/n " sure"
Scientist " is your husband going to fight us or kill us" you soon looked and saw tsu'tey sitting on his dire horse he was glaring at, the humans that were so close to his mate.
Scientist 3 " if looks could kill we will be all dead"
Scientist 4 " I thought we were on friendly terms with the clan"
y/n " don't worry everyone he harmless"
Scientist " harmless are you sure"
y/n " yes when he not mad about something or fighting and hunting, but he very nice and respect you all"
Scientist " then why is he so mad"
norm " well I think he overprotective of you y/n navi are protective of their mates, and will chase or fight anyone who trying to steal their mate or cross some lines"
y/n " that my husband"
max " oh here comes your husband" tsu'tey had gotten off his dire horse and soon walked towards, you he soon wrapped a arm around you and looked at the others.
tsu'tey " I know you all her friends but if anyone here tries anything ... we are going to have some problems I hope you all understand well we will be leaving now" tsu'tey soon dragged you away as you looked at your friends some of them seem shocked and scared at the same time.
y/n " sorry" you had mounted sorry to them as they nodded their heads towards you, but soon stopped when tsu'tey looked back at them. Tsu'tey soon helped you onto his dire horse and soon took off making sure to spend the whole day with you.
y/n " you know you are cute when you are jealous"
tsu'tey " I'm not jealous I'm just defend my wife my wife that all" you soon laugh making tsu'tey look away but deep down he was smiling as well. Even due he could be overprotective at times he was still your husband and, you wouldn't change anything about it.

Protector | Lo'ak Sully
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
summary: you heard how Jake referred to his sons after the reef accident and you couldn't take it anymore, you were tired and decided to defend your confidant, not caring about getting in trouble with Mr. Sully, the na'vi who raised you.
gender: angst, comfort
pairing: Loa'k Sully x gn!omaticaya!reader (can be read as platonic or romantic, but use of "best friend" once)
warnings: Jake being a mean dad (sorry Jake, luv u), heartbreak and insecure Lo'ak because of his daddy issues, father and son argument, reader talking back/defending Lo'ak, “you brought shame to this family" scene, use of “y/n” four times.
a/n: so... people argue about if Jake is a good or a bad father. All I know is that I like Jake, but I would fight him to defend Lo'ak (I know l would lose, but stil). l like the idea after l read "Life of a traitor" (on AO3, by SelfObsessedCaramel) and a one-shot that I read here a long time ago but I can't find the user to give credits, basically reader defends Lo’ak too and Jake and Neytiri are a little mad and surprised, but happy because reader was a good mate for their son, I think reader was a human (tag them if you know who the author is, please). English is not my first language, be kind, please <3.

When Jake and Neytiri decided that you, an orphan, could go to the Metkayina clan with them (because you were raised by the Omatikaya clan and the Sullys), Tuk was the one who smiled the most, Kiri was relieved because she didn't have to deal with other people's shit alone, Neteyamn was glad because you, their childhood friend, made things easier by thinking with a intelligent brain and not with a skxawng brain like his brother.
But Lo'ak, oh, Lo'ak. The boy was so glad, relieved and excited, all of this because you are the only na'vi that listens to him, actually listens. All the time his family is too much for him he can go with you and with a single look at his expression you can know something is wrong. Yes, he loves his family, but sometimes he feels like a burden and a weird thing incapable of belonging. With you he doesn't feel like that because you know him.
That's the reason why, when Jake said that horrible thing "You brought shame to this family", you almost heard your best friend's heart breaking. A small silence between Jake, Neytiri, Neteyam and you was enough to remember one of all the times when he came to you trying to feel better after an argument with his dad.
When you were kids he would find it difficult to be vulnerable in front of you or expose that he needed some type of physical contact to feel better, since he felt that he had to be a great little warrior in front of you so that you wouldn't make fun of him. But the first time he fell off a tree (when Spider, Lo'ak and you were trying to grab some fruits) you quickly managed to hug him and put his head on your neck, stroking his hair to calm him down while Spider went to look for Jake. Since then Lo'ak was sure you would always be there for him, no matter how vulnerable he can be.
One day, at 12 years old, you were searching for materials to make new matching beads for Lo'ak and you. The sound of the river didn't let you hear your friend approaching. He scared you when you turned around and saw him a few steps behind you.
"Skxawng, you scared me." You laughed. When he didn't make fun of you, you notice the way he was looking down, trying to hide a few tears.
"What's wrong?" You asked, worried.
"My... my dad." He cringed at his own broken voice. "Ugh, never mind. It's ridiculous, always the same bullshit.
"No, no. Lo'ak, whatever you are feeling is valid. Come here, you wanna talk about it?”
Both of you sit next to the river, with a basket full of materials behind you. You embraced him and he let himself cry on your shoulder. "I was just trying to help. Neteyam was bringing this huge animal for the meal, I tried to help him, but I slipped. l couldn't grab anything to stop my fall because of the huge animal and I ended up stepping on my brother's bow," You grabbed his hand and squeezed it trying to comfort him. "Neteyam wasn't even mad, he knew it was an accident, but my dad told me that l had to be more careful, that it was my fault if Neteyam couldn't hunt in a few days because he had to make a new bow. He can hunt with his knife! But it's always my fault in my father's eyes, as if I don't know that l always mess up things.” He sighted. "He said.. yelled that if l wasn't able to help, I had better not get in the way.”
That broke your heart. Lo’ak was a bit of a rebel and curious soul, and sometimes he could get in trouble because of that (because he wanted to show people that he was good enough in many aspects), but he never had bad intentions.
Maybe to other people he didn't care when he was scolded and apparently just got mad and defensive, but you knew he was sensitive too.
"Okay. Maybe your dad is stress right now. You know that recently the clan have had problems hunting enough for the meals." Lo'ak nodded. "However, that's not an excuse for treating you like that."
When he calmed down, he lay down looking at you with red puffy eyes. You tried your best to make him laugh by splashing a little bit of water to his face.
"Don't worry, we are gonna go hunt together and help Neteyam to make a new bow."
"Deal."
"Can I go now?" Your best friend asked.
“Any more trouble, I jerk a knot in your tail. You read me?” Jake asked while you cringed at the fact that he still thought his sons were little soldiers.
“Yes, sir. Lima Charlie.” Lo'ak was giving him an ‘I don't give a fuck’ attitude, just like every time he just wanted to stay away from his father.
“Go on.” Jake said after giving him another scolding look.
You followed Lo’ak, watching his tail swing angrily. You bit your tongue trying to control the disgust you were feeling towards the na'vi that always gave you a sweet pat on your head every time you felt down. Because it was unfair the way Mr. Sully treated Kiri, Tuk, and you with patience the days you guys were just not able to handle life, but he didn't let his sons explain when something didn't end up as expected.
All of the Sullys were so worried when Ao'nung told them that Lo'ak was nowhere to be found outside of the reef, but you almost had a panic attack in front of Neteyam because you would not be able to handle losing another friend. The burning pain of not knowing where or how Spider was was enough for your heart. So, of course, you weren't happy when you noticed the antipathy of Mr. and Mrs. Sully.
Your sweet touch helped Lo'ak to maintain himself calm, but your own calmness disappeared when you listened:
“Where were you?” it was Neytiri's voice.
«Oh, great mother, she did not just say that to Neteyam.»
“Yeah. What happened to ‘keep an eye on your brother’?”
“Sorry, sir.” the oldest Sully brother answered.
“No. Where were you?.” Your voice resonated between a heavy silence. Jake and Neytiri looked at you confused, Lo'ak turned around, thinking what he heard was a hallucination, and Neteyam was shocked.
“Excuse me?” Jake said, unhappy by your sudden disrespect.
“You are the parents, not Neteyam.” You repeat, starting to feel a little angry. “An older child is not supposed to be a third parent. You are the responsible ones for the security of your children.”
“You think I don't know that, y/n?”
“Well, sometimes it is not how it looks.”
“Y/n, I know I'm not your father, but you need to respect me. Especially when I-"
“Respect is something that is earned. And yes, I'm thankful for all the things you guys have done for me, but that doesn't mean I'm gonna pretend you are not being mean with your son.”
“Y/n, is not the right time...” Neteyam tried to talk to you.
“It is. All these years, I've been respectful about your parent technique, but I will not stand it anymore.” You got close to Jake. “You are understanding with Kiri, Tuk, and me while you are mean to Neteyam and Lo'ak, using the excuse that you are trying to protect them. But you don't act like a father. You act like a soldier who can not forget.”
“You don't know what you are talking about.”
“Maybe I don't know all the things you went through on Earth, and I'm not judging you because I know you were hurt too. But because you were hurt doesn't give you the right to hurt others! Especially when they are your family.” Lo'ak watched the way your tail swung side to side in an anxious move. “You don't think words can hurt? Because day after day I see one of the most important na’vi for me, thinking they are not good enough for anyone because of you, and thinking that they are not worth being loved.”
That made Neytiri flinch and look at her son with a hurt expression.
“Listen…” Jaks said after giving a quick peek to Lo'ak, who was now standing next to you.
“No! You listen, because you never do!” You weren't yelling, but your voice was loud enough to make Jake realise he had never seen you like that. “You don't know where Lo'ak was or how he ended up there. You can't tell me you believed what he said about Ao'nung trying to stop him.” Neteyam didn't know where all of the sudden confrontation came from, but deep down, he was a little bit happy that someone was telling his dad about the things he didn't see. “And still you don't let him explain what happened. You never listen when Neteyam tries to tell you things fail, not because he wasn't being responsible, but because he's still a kid, not an adult.”
Neytiri wasn't happy about your attitude, but seeing Lo'ak shocked made her realise that maybe all the things you were saying were somehow things Lo'ak (and Neteyam) wanted to say.
“We know you try to protect us, and you want us to be strong, but you forget that we are still kids. They need you as a dad, not a soldier. They need your love and comprehension. And yes, you need to scold them sometimes, but not make them feel unhappy with themselves.”
“That's not my intention” was all Jake could say.
“That's what you are doing.”
You sighted, tired of all the emotions you went through in just one day. You grabbed Lo'ak's hand and walked away, while Jake, Neytiri, and Neteyam admired the way their son and brother looked at you with pure love.
Lo'ak and you were sitting on a big rock, admiring the beautiful ocean and purple sky. Both of you haven't said anything since you arrived there, wanting to be left alone and in peace after the confrontation.
“You know you are incredible, right?” Lo'ak was the first one to break the silence.
“Yeah? Well, now your parents hate me.”
“I'm sure it will pass, Neteyam will help you.”
“And what about you? You're gonna leave me to die in your parent's hands?” I smiled a little bit.
“No, no. I will never do that.” He said, looking at you, almost directly to your soul. You didn't expect to feel nervous under his gaze, but his eyes were telling you a lot of things that he couldn't process into words. “Thank you.”
“You don't have to thank me, Lo’ak…”
“Y/n, thank you.” His fingers found your hand, so they started to caress your hand gently. “I admire you so much. Sometimes I don't know if I wanna be Neteyam or you.”
“You have to be your own person.” I grabbed his hand. “Because Lo'ak is just as perfect and enough. And I know that because I see you.” I said with a soft tone.
A shy but playful smile appeared on his face. He looked cute when he didn't dare to make eye contact with you for a few seconds.
“I see you.” He answered after looking at you again.
