Cinderswift (Unexpected Musical) — PattyCake Productions music video

When the PattyCake fellas set out to retell the classic rags-to-riches fairy tale of Cinderella, they turned to the music of Taylor Swift. Her songs' themes of overcoming detractors and self-doubt, learning from painful situations, and striving for a better life were a perfect fit for the story's narrative.

Trivia:

The opening dedication "For Dori" refers to Layne's youngest daughter, Doris, who was about six months old at the time of this video's publication.

This video was filmed at the Luxemore Grande Estate in Winter Park, which is primarily used for weddings and other large events. The venue coordination was handled by Jaimz Dillman, who had played Sarah Sanderson in PattyCake's "Hocus Heathens" Halloween video, and has continued to feature in their projects.

Leah has reprised her role as Cinderella in several episodes of PattyCake's "Princess Academy" series, as well as their "Disney Girls Like You" video in 2019, and their original piece "If the Shoe Fits" in 2023.

According to Bucky, there were many outtakes during the dance sequence because "the boots were big on me and that dress was ginormous".

The guys had known Bucky for many years prior to casting him in this project. He'd played the Wolfman opposite Tony's Dracula in the "Beetlejuice Revue" show at Universal Studios, and joined 4:2:Five as their new baritone when Layne switched over to vocal percussion in 2004.

A fan combined the audio from this project with footage from the 1950 Disney animated film to create a fantastic fanvid.

Many of the songs in this video were also later included in PattyCake's villainous Halloween offering for the year, "Look What You Made Me Brew".

Layne and Tony had previously sung a portion of "Bad Blood" in VoicePlay's "Aca Top 10 — Summer Hits 2015" countdown.

"I Knew You Were Trouble" was the foundation for VoicePlay's 2013 "Trouble" mashup music video with Rachel Potter, which led to them competing on The Sing-Off.

The dancers in the original "Shake It Off" music video include several of their fellow reality show veterans from So You Think You Can Dance — Phillip "PacMan" Chbeeb (s.5), Du-Shaunt "Fik-Shun" Stegall (s.10 winner), Jonathan "Legacy" Perez (s.6), & Melissa Sandvig (s.5).

Day 250

Did literally nothing until 530. Just laid on the couch and watched vids and ended up napping around like 330. I also ate rest of potato salad and some chicken bites for lunch. But yeah 530 went to gym and arms. Afterwards tho I went home and BZimm stopped by so he could get his screwdriver for Riptide. I showered, put away laundry and then I went to Olivias house. Madison’s grandpa passed away today so she was big sad and Olivia was making chicken and dumplings soup. MJ was there and we all helped out with making it. I was just stirring the dumpling which was sticky lmao. But yeah after that we ate which was very yum and taught Olivia about adding parmesan to it which everyone liked but MJ. We just sat and talked in the kitchen and also ate some bridal cake ice cream and did the same at the couch. Around 10ish we went to smoke and I got high pretty quick. We just talked outside and watched some tik toks and then we left around like 1130. Talked to Madison outside for a bit and then we on a 1 hr drive lmao. I was high and yeah it was a vibe. I went literally around VA Beach, like first to VA Beach Blvd through South Plaza to take a right and then down to lynnhaven pkwy and then all the way down to Princess Anne to take a left all the was down past the courthouses to take a left to Holland Rd to take a left all the way down to Buckner Blvd to take a left to take South Rosemont and then I thought about getting a strawberry limeade from Sonic and a corn dog so all the way down to there and I got my stuff for $5 to go home from there through south rosemont/silina. Wow I can’t believe I remembered all that lmao that was great prolly cause i’m still high and tired af it’s 1248 and i have not been using punctuation lol time to go bed bed I work at 11

JGP Russia Short Dance #8-12

Ling/Wein(USA)

Thoughts: I’m not sold on these two yet. Emma just seemed to fit Caleb better. Caleb didn’t even seem to come to life until about 40 seconds in.

Goodstadt/Barsoum(CAN)

Thoughts: Emma’s dress was cute. Not every day you see bright sparkly blue. I know I’ve seen these two before but they must have not stuck in my mind until now.

Bashynska/Beaumont(CAN)

Thoughts: Nadia looks good, skinnier than I remember. The program started off a little stiff but they got into it after about 30 seconds or so.

Ovsiankina/Samokhin(RUS)

Thoughts: we’re not going to speak about Alisa stepping on Matvei’s back. We’ll file it under the many thing about this Urban/hip-hop short dance theme that make me queasy. Anyway, I do think these two are better than when I saw them last. I’m surprised though that they are still only 13.

Zehnder/Sieber(SWI)

Thoughts: I liked the look of these two despite the low score. Black has always been one of my favorite colors for Ice Dance.

Metroplex Level 10: Thompson(UTH), Zannella(NJ), Buckner(UTH), Cleveland(COL), Strayhorn(NJ)

I’ve seen Sage before, so it was nice to have some familiarity. The beam routine was alright except for the wobble on the side somi. Stephanie’s dismount from the bars was different than I was used to. It was actually kind of pretty even though it was probably a lower difficulty. Olivia seemed to look down at the beam more than some of the others before her. Lack of confidence maybe. Wolf turns are always so pretty on the beam. And I’ve never seen them done so close to the edge before like Kaleigh did. Maybe if her dismount was of a little higher difficulty, we could have had something interesting. I’m starting to get used to New Jersey now. Taller, slighter than Texas but the landings aren’t as confident. At least that was what I noticed with Donyale’s vault.
