please could you do the characters rin sae oliver and kaiser for the ‘blue lock characters types’ ( female reader) thank you i really loved that post <33
love anon 💙
yes of course, I'm just a little mad at myself that I couldn't make the other post longer.. also thank you for including the gener my love💙
(Please call yourself 'love anon 💙' okay? ...or however else, it was just an idea :} )
Warnings: some have body types included, but these are just headcannons, okay?
Characters: Rin, Sae, Oliver, Kaiser, Karasu
---
Blue Lock's types?! ...part two
part one
Rin:
Bro that boy is a simp.
correction: they're all simps.
I think we somehow forget that the only thing they can do good probably is play football, otherwise they look like normal teens with muscles to me
However!
I think Rin's type would just be a girl who takes stuff seriously, as in not being a person who jokes a lot but who focuses on her studies and stuff
I mean, he can speak english pretty good, so I think he'd also like a girl who is bi- or multilingual (I'm european, take me Rin)
but also a girl who is like-- I don't know, maybe a little reserved for herself? Who doesn't really give too much price about herself?
I think he read a little too many romance novels (headcannon) and these girls now intrigue him 💀
but yeah, all in all I think his type would be reserved and no-nonsence, booksmart girls
bonus if you wear glasses, it makes you look cute and intelligent in his eyes
...
Sae:
I think the spanish girls have him down bad for them
I think he likes fun girls? like, girls where it's not boring (to him)
Imagine you met him in spain and just thought he was a hot dude and you just wanted to have some fun so you just do sum weird shit and he enjoys that
like, I can just imagine him trying to be goofy just for the hell of it because I always see him so bored and gloomy and stuff like that so I feel bad
Yeah, I can definitely see him simping for girls who like to crack jokes left and right
also maybe (I'm putting in body types here) he likes girls with nice asses? He looks like an ass guy to me
when a girl walks in front of him, with the jeans beinf full with juicy cheeks, he stares at them
shamelessly
I said it and I'll say it again.
Sae looks like he'd enjoy the company of a funny girl with a nice ass
we all thank the spanish girls for that.
...
Oliver:
hhhhhhhhhhhhhh
anon 💙... why him...WHY HIM ????
he a runner he a track star (...is it the right lyrics?)
Bro he'd just fuck anything that's female and breathing in his eyes
he looks like a 30-something year old divorced alcoholic who can't keep shit together
but okay.
also he fucks random bitches and you want me to give him a type???
bro I think just girls in general are his type?
Elder girls?
Cuz like in that one karaoke scene, he wanted to hang with two grown ass women💀
so yeah there you have your answer, he likes older ladies💀💀💀
...
Kaiser
a german huh?
I bet he just likes blond haired girls who like to run after him sorry not sorry
ok but seriously.
He is pretty arrogant, a big egoist, and loves to misinterpret things
so I'd like to imagine him chasing after a girl who's "playing hard to get" (his words not mine)
no but seriously, he really thinks the world evolves around him💀
Ness this is all your fault
but other than girls who are not interested in him, I think he also likes girls that are pretty sarcastic and make him feel worthless, just so that he can prove it to them.. (I really don't know)
but other than that, I think he likes the idea of a one-sided crush, and wants to "make her fall for me."
like bro fuck off with your weird-cut, ugly-white-ass hair
Karasu
I really don't know much about him because I've been watching the anime until the last episode and then I read the manga but not from the start so I'm sorry if there were some canon events that I don't know of..
but let's think about his type
I'd say...a calm girlfriend? A loyal one as well? (*cough*Otoya*cough*)
But I'd even choose Shidou over Otoya tbh💀
okay let's get back to the topic at hand.
Karasu just wants himself a loving and calm girlfriend, who gives him the vibe of a nice forest or steadily flowing river where he can calm his nerves
He looks like he gets angry easily..
so he has a soft girl
he likes chubby girls, just imagining hugging one and resting his head on your shoulder as he uses your soft tummy/juicy thighs as a stress ball and sighs contently
I don't know but Karasu makes me feel stuff...😍😫
---
Hellyu, how was that? It was actually rather fun thinking about their types, and I think I did a pretty good job. If I didn't, tell me and I'll change that!
Read you in the next post!

Interview with Interview Magazine (2024)
Before he was known as the dashing Lord Anthony Bridgerton or Tim Laughlin, the character in Fellow Travelers for which he won a Critics Choice Award earlier this month, Jonathan Bailey caught the attention of Phoebe Waller-Bridge with his confident, self-possessed audition for her show Crashing nearly a decade ago. “You came in like a fireball,” said the Fleabag star on Zoom with Bailey, recounting how, while reading for the role of the sex-obsessed Sam, Bailey asked permission to lay his script out on the floor in front of him like a rainbow. “You had no embarrassment. You didn’t actually refer to it again, but you took those few seconds to just completely set up what you exactly needed for that audition, and then you were so free.” In the years since, with roles in Bridgerton, the Showtime drama Fellow Travelers, and the upcoming Wicked movie adaptation, Bailey has become one of the most sought-after actors in the business, capable of generating sparks with whoever’s on screen with him. Waller-Bridge attributes this to the 35-year-old’s distinct understanding of tension. “You’re like a chemistry machine,” she gushed. “There’s this incredible erotic energy that people are so excited about.” Last week, from a hotel room at Claridge’s in London, Bailey talked to Waller-Bridge about longing, orgasms, frosted tips, nostalgia, Shakespeare, and his very first role: playing a raindrop in a stage production of Noah’s Ark.
PHOEBE WALLER-BRIDGE: Hi.
JONATHAN BAILEY: Hi.
WALLER-BRIDGE: I’m taking my glasses off. Now I can be real.
BAILEY: I’ve just had a gin and tonic, actually. I had a meeting and he really wanted a glass of Whispering Angel, so I was like, “Well, I’ve got to dive in.”
WALLER-BRIDGE: What’s the time there?
BAILEY: Oh, I’m literally around the corner from you. Literally, I’ve come into Claridge’s Hotel and checked in for an hour just to have a Zoom.
WALLER-BRIDGE: Oh, god. That’s so chic. Jonny, I want all of your secrets.
BAILEY: I feel like you’ve got quite a few of them already.
WALLER-BRIDGE: I do, actually. And we’re not going to talk about any of those. But I did also get to do a little bit of research on you.
BAILEY: Oh, god. What have you got?
WALLER-BRIDGE: Jonathan Stewart Bailey, I’d like to jump straight in with the fact that the first professional job you had was playing a teardrop, or a raindrop?
BAILEY: There were teardrops, but yeah, I was playing a raindrop.
WALLER-BRIDGE: You were a crying raindrop.
BAILEY: A crying raindrop in Noah’s Ark.
WALLER-BRIDGE: And how old were you then?
BAILEY: I think I was about 5 going on 29. I was really upset because it didn’t rain. The bitch that played Noah, she forgot the cue for the rain to come. So my dance didn’t make it, but at the end of the show they allowed me to do it once everyone had applauded.
WALLER-BRIDGE: I asked you that specifically because you’ve also said that your grandmother took you to see a production of Oliver in London and that’s what changed everything.
BAILEY: Yes.
WALLER-BRIDGE: So was the raindrop before or after that? I am getting to something, I promise.
BAILEY: I think it was probably afterwards. I was really young when I went to see Oliver.
WALLER-BRIDGE: I’m interested because I read that seeing it made you decide you wanted to perform. Can you tell me the specific thing that made it click?
BAILEY: I’ll tell you, the most bizarre thing is that I had three seasons at the RSC under my belt by the age of nine. There was a moment where I played Prince Arthur, the kid in Shakespeare who gets his eyes gouged out and has to escape a turret. I remember doing that production and thinking I was aware of the power of words, if that makes sense. You’re so porous at that age, I think. It is such a gift, isn’t it, to be shown what iambic pentameter is.
WALLER-BRIDGE: Do you still feel passionate about Shakespeare now?
BAILEY: I do, actually. It’s my dirty, filthy habit.
WALLER-BRIDGE: Your dirty little habit. I know what you mean, though, how if you come to it quite raw, and it’s not something that you’ve had shoved down your throat at school, there is nothing more epic and spectacular.
BAILEY: And being around people who are just so committed to their vocation, whether they’re writing or creating. The smell backstage at the RSC at the Barbican was like cigarettes, stage makeup, Joe Fiennes, and hope.
WALLER-BRIDGE: That’s a lot of beautiful smells you’ve got going on there.
BAILEY: I know. Talk about top notes and bottom notes. I was like, “These men, these titans of theater!”
WALLER-BRIDGE: That’s extraordinary that you were exposed to that kind of level of professionalism. Because you are consummately professional, and I remember that. You have this incredible ability to be completely live and spontaneous and wild at the same time as being so incredibly professional, and that’s why working with you felt totally safe. I know that I’ve got a professional actor coming today, but I have absolutely no idea what’s going to happen because you still managed to keep that spontaneity and danger.
BAILEY: I suppose it’s sometimes dangerous. Today I had to do an interview. Crashing came up and I described working with you as being on the constant edge of an orgasm and also hysteria.
WALLER-BRIDGE: It did have a kind of wild, beautiful energy.
BAILEY: There’s a chemical alchemy when you get the right group of people led by the right people.
WALLER-BRIDGE: I haven’t had that in quite the same way since, where everyone has equal importance in the story. That’s the thing that feels quite rare, actually, there’s like six of you and they’re all as fucked up as each other. I remember your audition. You came in like a fireball and you already felt like you had a Sam energy. You sat in your chair, took out your script from your bag, and then you were like, “Give me a second,” and you laid out your script around you on the floor. You had no embarrassment about what you needed or in front of you. You didn’t actually refer to it again, but you took those few seconds to just completely set up what you exactly needed for that audition, and then you were so free. And I just wonder if you’ve felt that particular type of confidence your whole life?
BAILEY: That’s a really good question. I’ve got three older sisters and I wonder if they are a structure. I’ve definitely been in environments where I don’t feel free, and then you give the worst performance of your life. What I’ve found in the last few years is that, of course, you have to adapt so quickly to work out what you need in order to be able to be free. I think if I don’t have the equivalent of that on the floor, I panic or get really scared.
WALLER-BRIDGE: There’s something about that, which is being able to play dangerously in a safe environment. I feel like that’s got so much to do with an understanding of tension, which I think you have. You’re like a chemistry machine. Obviously, with Bridgerton and then in Fellow Travelers, there’s this incredible erotic energy that people are so excited about.
BAILEY: I really think it comes from Crashing.
WALLER-BRIDGE: It doesn’t come from Crashing, it comes from you. I think you’re the king of tension. I think you understand what that is.
BAILEY: I think you can give yourself butterflies, can’t you?
WALLER-BRIDGE: Is that what you’re looking for, the butterfly all the time?
BAILEY: Yeah, I’m always looking for my butterfly farm. The misty, slightly smelly greenhouse full of butterflies.
WALLER-BRIDGE: That’s your tummy?
BAILEY: Yeah, that’s my tummy.
WALLER-BRIDGE: Did you always dream of playing leading man roles growing up?
BAILEY: Not at all, no. I never thought I would be able to.
WALLER-BRIDGE: Why?
BAILEY: I’ve realized that I’m completely in awe of other people and performances and creative endeavors. I go to the theater and I love a performance and I’m like, “How do they do that? I can’t see the seams.” So therefore, I feel like I must be driven by that. And when something comes my way, there’s a fear that it won’t work.
WALLER-BRIDGE: What’s really exciting to me is when I see palpable dynamics between characters, which you have done multiple times, like the relationship between Tim and Hawk. There’s so much opportunity for intimacy and that kind of danger. And when you get to play those sorts of roles, when you know that you can stand in front of each other and you don’t really need to do anything because it’s giving you something, it must’ve just been a joy walking into this world because it’s like a banquet of stuff to play with, right?
BAILEY: Totally, and it feels sort of vital and sexy. I do remember this one memory, which I guess I’ll share with you now. I did play and there was a tiled wall,at eye level with a mirrored border around. And there was a guy, we were into each other, and I remember just looking up in the middle of a conversation and he was looking at me in a reflection. And I was like, “This is what life is about.” Anyway, I think that it must have something to do with feeling the most alive in that.
WALLER-BRIDGE: Do you know Esther Perel?
BAILEY: Yeah, I love Esther Perel.
WALLER-BRIDGE: So she’s written about how she believes that your next orgasm begins at the very end of your last one, which is basically our whole life just building up to our next orgasm.
BAILEY: That’s just fantastic. It’s just so positive and hopeful—
WALLER-BRIDGE: And so beautiful, isn’t it?
BAILEY: It is.
WALLER-BRIDGE: Everything that you encounter in your life, every conversation that you have, is in some way building up to the next euphoric physical experience. Every single character has to have that inside them one way or another, because every human does. And I think with Fellow Travelers, because you long for them so much as an audience and you want them to have everything that they want from each other, but they’re also brutal to themselves and to each other, there is something so extraordinary seeing characters in that time portrayed in the way that you guys have portrayed them.
BAILEY: One thing that we’re all born with is the sense of longing. Longing comes before anything else, doesn’t it? Whoever you put on the wall, laminate the poster or whatever, it’s there. And actually, if you long for someone, more often than not you don’t think you are worthy of it. And that, to me, is a way into characters.
WALLER-BRIDGE: Do you remember your laminated poster longing person?
BAILEY: I think I had the Simpsons, which was obviously me trying to disguise myself as much as possible. Lucy Liu was a big one for me, too.
WALLER-BRIDGE: Well, I can see that.
BAILEY: I suppose there’s the laminated wall in my literal bedroom and then there’s the laminated wall in my gay—
WALLER-BRIDGE: Mind.
BAILEY: Who was yours?
WALLER-BRIDGE: You know what? It’s really interesting, because I was the eagle in the Rescuers Down Under. That wasn’t necessarily a sexual longing, but it was a romantic idea, that overwhelming sense of watching the Rescuers Down Under and being able to run out of the back of my house on my own, age 10, and jump onto the back of a giant eagle and he’ll fly me around. But in terms of just a hottie that I really fancied, I think it was probably Leo [DiCaprio].
BAILEY: Oh, yeah.
WALLER-BRIDGE: Are you a nostalgic person?
BAILEY: Yes, I think so. I think a lot about my younger self. I’m always like, “Guys, remember this?” It’s slightly annoying, but I’m always drawing a line between the past and now for sure.
WALLER-BRIDGE: That’s how you measure your life, by remembering the time that’s gone by or what 11-year-old you would think of what you were doing?
BAILEY: I think I’m probably more romantic than nostalgic, if that makes sense.
WALLER-BRIDGE: Go on.
BAILEY: Well, I just think I’ve fully committed to the idea of everything being brilliant and then I work backwards from there.
WALLER-BRIDGE: Well, having starred in two hit period dramas and also being a huge part of the fact that they are a hit, that’s why I wondered about what your relationship is with the past and history, and how much you actually knew about McCarthy America?
BAILEY: Oh, no. Have you got a quiz?
WALLER-BRIDGE: I actually don’t. Do you want one?
BAILEY: No, that would be the worst.
WALLER-BRIDGE: Do you enjoy historical novels? Do you live in the past in any way in your mind? Or you are kind of like, “We’re here and we’re moving forward?”
BAILEY: I do think I’m here and moving forward. I really struggled with history at school, I could not take in information about the past. When it came to exams, I would remember the page where things were written but I couldn’t stitch together epochs and eras and kings.
WALLER-BRIDGE: It crashes my brain, too. I have a friend, and you can say to her, “June 24th, 1999,” and she can tell you pretty much what she was up to.
BAILEY: That’s amazing.
WALLER-BRIDGE: You can see her go into the diary in her mind. She has a very different wiring of her brain. But speaking of longing, are there any fictional or real life couples, gay or straight, that captured your heart over the years?
BAILEY: Oh my god, what a question. What about Michelle Williams and Ryan Gosling in Blue Valentine?
WALLER-BRIDGE: I think Morticia and Gomez Addams were the most romantic couple.
BAILEY: Yeah, I see that.
WALLER-BRIDGE: They understood it. They got it all.
BAILEY: Also maybe Ryan and Marissa in The OC.
WALLER-BRIDGE: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Any gay male couples that you ever looked up to or were romanced by?
BAILEY: Well unfortunately, there just weren’t that many were there growing up.
WALLER-BRIDGE: So wild.
BAILEY: But I met Matthew Rhys recently, who I just love. And I was thinking about that relationship in Brothers and Sisters. And then there was Queer as Folk. Russell, T. Davies changed the game. So many people owe so much to him just purely for visibility. There is no Tim and Hawk to a 2023 audience without Queer as Folk.
WALLER-BRIDGE: But did you feel frustrated?
BAILEY: Well, speaking of history, I was doing media studies with an amazing teacher and I decided that I was going to do my dissertation about the representations of Hutus and Tutsis and the Rwanda genocide, looking at Hotel Rwanda and Shooting Dogs. And then Brokeback Mountain came out and I was like, “Hang on, how can I possibly create a world where I can go and have a free pass to go to the cinema to watch it 10 times?” I’m really proud of my 17-year-old self, I wasn’t necessarily out, but I changed the topic to representation of homosexuality in Brokeback Mountain and I watched that film 10 times. And this amazing teacher, Dr. Brunton, who probably had an idea of what was going on, was just like, “This is brilliant, keep going, keep going.” And I think it was the best mark I ever got.
WALLER-BRIDGE: Do you still have it?
BAILEY: It must be on a hard drive upstairs in the attic. And obviously, that completely changed me, something chemical happened there. But it’s funny, I’m not clear on memories. And I do think it’s a common thing for a lot of people, growing up and having to survive and be basically in fight or flight, there’s a murkiness to how I recall.
WALLER-BRIDGE: Of course, because you couldn’t be truly present because you weren’t being completely yourself.
BAILEY: Totally, yeah.
WALLER-BRIDGE: When you look back and start unpacking it, do you feel overwhelmed with sympathy for how hard you were having to work as a 16-year-old, coming up with excuses to see the movie that you wanted to see?
BAILEY: Yeah. But I spent more time trying to be sympathetic towards the people that were around me who didn’t support or couldn’t help. I look back and I go, “Hell.”
WALLER-BRIDGE: Yes. But you are representing that and living that for so many people now. Your speech at the Critics Choice Awards the other day was so sublime and beautiful and straight from the heart. You are so electric as a human being and that is the most important thing. There aren’t many people in the world that can do that, that can stand there in front of people and speak from their heart about what it means to them to be given this opportunity. And I know that your career is just going to be the most extraordinary journey. When I first met you, I remember sitting with Josh [Cole], who was the producer on Crashing, and we were like, “If we get this guy, it’s going to be the game changer for the show.” And I know that every single person now wanting you on their project is feeling the same thing.
BAILEY: I definitely feel overwhelmed by that, but it’s lovely to hear.
WALLER-BRIDGE: Can I just ask you one question which I couldn’t remember about Crashing?
BAILEY: Yeah.
WALLER-BRIDGE: The frosted tips were your idea, wasn’t it?
BAILEY: I had this conversation today. I think it’s in the script. But my reference picture was Justin Timberlake in double denim.
WALLER-BRIDGE: No, I don’t think it was [in the script], because Sam’s a character that I hold closest to my heart because, in so many ways, he represents how I feel about maybe my inner life. I just love him so much, and your ability to play every single little corner of him that I dreamed of.
BAILEY: Maybe that’s the answer I was looking for when you asked if I was drawn to any romantic couples? No, it was just about wanting bleach blonde hair.

2nd Gen Shawpack Pookies
I’ve had them in my notes for AGES and I’ve still yet to finish a design, but i do intend on creating little skits of them cuz of how much I’ve invested giving them all personalities and pinterest boards. (If this isn’t me exhibiting my deep love for the Redactedverse idk what is)
Some descriptions are longer than the others, I’ve obviously put more thought into certain characters
•Shaw Twins
- both children are sadly ungifted in the kitchen, despite the fact that David has made them his little helpers when since they were little. Multiple flames have been put out because of them.
-Both do share a love for nature like their father.
Gabriella Shaw (Gabby)🫶🏻
- Angel carbon copy with a dash of Gabriel’s silliness and courage, which always made David smile.
- Natural born Leader. Despite being the eldest child (4 fucking minutes) David has never burdened them with the responsibility or thought of inheriting the business. She stepped into the leadership role on her own, with more brighter approach, personality wise.
- Rollerskates, Angel started taking her to roller rinks since age 6 and she loves taking Lyss and KC with her
Callum Grey Shaw 🌱
-Yes he’s named after the sweet Caelum. David wanted to commemorate his childhood friend.
- Inherited David’s resting bitch face, if you point it out he’ll even growl like he does.
- Great Observer. Because his sister was the more outgoing one of them, he was always the listener, making him more emotionally aware, noticing things most people miss.
- Loves sitcoms. He’s probably watch Brooklyn Nine-Nine so many times he can name episodes in order. This also translates his love for the security company his dad runs. Always begging David to take him to work with him. (I think we know who inherits the company)
•Talbot Troop
-Asher is the only one I picture having multiple kids with a range of age gaps.
-No doubt the most outgoing ones of the pack.
August Talbot (Auggie) 🍕
- Foodie
- Life of the party, stealin’ hearts with his million watt smile
- DDR is his sport
Kelcee Talbot (KC/CeeCee) 🧠
- Designated driver of the group
- Straight A student. When she was young she’d share all the interesting facts she’d pick up on to her parents and it always astounded Asher, how she can command a room, especially being the SOMEWHAT, mellow one among the three.
Oliver James Talbot (OJ/Ollie) 🪲
- Very inquisitive
- Youngest of the pack (the only 7yr old in a group of 17 year olds)
- Has a special bond with Alyssa
•Greer Icon
Alyssa Marie Greer 💥
-Now while i think of Milo and SW as the D.I.N.K (dual income, no kids) couple, and i will somewhat always think that, but— this name crossed my head and I just cannot let it go. IT HONORS MARIE OK—
-Unsurprisingly is always the best dressed. Milo is very proud.
-Has a very ‘takes no bull personality’ making them the most intimidating out of group.
- Plays archery competitively
- Straightforward
-Weirdly great with babies, explains her close bond with Oliver
•Collins
Sean Riley Collins 🥐
- aka Peace Officer Collins
- The code name speaks for itself, he is very much like his old man when it comes to ensuring his friends don’t do anything stupid, and in the very common occasions they do, he of course serves them with a patented Collins lecture.
- He may be half vamp, but that doesn’t mean he has to have a mundane food pallet, this man can COOK and bake, a soft, crispy shelled sourdough being one of his specialties
•Solaire
Hugo Solaire 🎭
- theater kid
- sarcastic, confident, somewhat frivolous, despite his royal status, which gets him in trouble for
- May or may not have a thing for the alpha’s daughter.
- Like Vincent, he’s mostly only close to the Collins’ but has occasionally hanged out with the shaw pack.

Hi 🌸 I was wondering what Benji’s opinions about my ocs? and how might they interact?
and also I'm glad that you returned to bully fandom 🫶
Hi hi!!! Sorry for the late answer, busy day at school :9 Here's what I can say after briefly reading about your ocs (regardless of their relationships with canon characters)! OLIVER I personally don't think him and Benji would get along, mostly because of their bias towards each others' cliques ^_^;; Despite Benji having two prep friends, he doesn't want any more as they tend to affiliate more with the local bitch boy Derby who is an Asshole to him because of his strabismus MARY "Oh, that prep girl? Yeah she's cute, and surprisingly nice too, but I'm unsure if I should trust her, you know? Maybe I'm being too suspicious but I don't see anything good coming from talking to her....though I wouldn't mind if she started conversation with me just because. Girls are always welcome for a nice chat, haha" MARGARET Yeesh o,o He's for sure staying away from her, being the ugly duckling among the jocks....she's probably the one that spread the weirdest rumors about him in his head, nuh uh !!! JULIET She's lovely!! So lovely !! Benji is occasionally assigned to pickpocket the greasers for cig packs for his Jock buddies, so I'm unsure if they'd have interactions at all outside of that, but she's safe from his quick hands.....for now! Nonetheless, he thinks she's quite an attractive girl ^_^ KATE & FRED Benji would be friends with both of them, Kate especially! He's sad that she didn't continue with swimming, often tells her to call him if she ever changes her mind on joining the swim team >:P Also,,,,,bisexual buddies,,,,, and finally a girl that won't preach to him about skincare,,,myeheheh He's less interested in Fred, but he still sees him as one of his jock friendos :9

I-just-started-s4e10-thoughts:
I will actually be so mad if Marshall reveals that Sazz was stalking the trio.
I love how when the creative team comes up with something, even something tiny and trivial, they stick to it. Like how Charles sends his break-through-in-the-case messages: all caps and twice. (see: Kimber doesn't have her hankie! and Sazz's protégé is Marshall P. Pope!)
It's so heart-warming to get to see Sazz and Charles working together on Uncle Brazzos, too, and to see a real "tap in" moment (plus the resurrection of the "whole new direction" line). And well done for the creators for getting the Brazzos director from season 2 back.
Yes, while my heart is still in tatters, why don't you rip it apart just a little more by showing us how much Sazz was really hurting and how valiantly she refused to let Charles see it. Sazz considered Charles her hero, but it was also the other way around.
The guys think this is when the next body drops? Oh, it dropped all right. It dropped a few hours ago at the hospital and I am in mourning. Also, the guys haven't really solved the case yet, as in the killer is still at large, so there's still time with the actual new murder in the building.
Yeah, we've all been terrified that Loretta would be next, but you know what? I don't think she will be.
If you don't want people to call the police, you don't start your text message with, "Call the police..." Marshall really is shit at writing.
The decorations!! Wohoo! I said the titles needed wedding decorations, didn't I?
Also in the opening titles: Howard casually flailing the beer box along.
Mabel is a genius. Moving on.
"All he does is let in murderers." The underrated brilliant comedy in that statement.
Okay, but now I'm certain that Lester is gonna die. (see: older post for more info) When he said they're having a wedding and a good day, that was just such an unlucky omen. He's totally gonna get killed and it'll just be so damn sad.
I think it's absolutely fabulous that Loretta is wearing the doll's bracelet from her proposal on her ring finger like an engagement ring.
The braids are on point in this episode. Last time they were a little askew.
I love seeing Oliver finally stepping up and setting his priorities straight, as he usually does towards the end of the season. Right now it feels like Oliver's rash decision-making in Loretta's favour is going to make Loretta realize that, just like Oliver is ready to leave everything he knows behind for her, Oliver, too, is more important to her than her show. This revelation could have her quitting her show to marry Oliver and live happily ever after at the Arconia. We're going to need Dickie to be there for the wedding anyway, so Loretta could take this opportunity to ask him to get her out of the show and try to find her some work that would be closer to home.
Very good balance of courage and reasonable fright in Charles on the ledge.
I think it was very beautifully done, on that ledge where Charles needed someone to tap in, this showing how Oliver has now taken over from Sazz as Charles's best friend.
Thank you, friendly neighbours! I just appreciate the side characters so much. Where would we be without them?
What a stunning and heart-wrenching performance from Jane Lynch.
It warms my heart that Sazz went to see Charles in Death Rattle Dazzle. (It also explains how she could have been whistling the Pickwick Triplets right before she was shot.)
And the not-tinsel is explained! This was the only piece of evidence that was still unexplained until now. It's such a relief when everything comes together. (So that bitch Marshall not only stole the script, he also stole Sazz's sentimental fireproof vest. I know Sazz gave it to him to use on his stunts but he should have given it back after his stunt career was cut short.)
Also a huge relief is that Sazz's memory was not tarnished one bit. She really was an absolute angel.
It's interesting that the burning stunt incident was actually only there to establish Sazz and Rex/Marshall's connection and to provide the trio with and tie up some leads. For a while I was convinced the burnt stuntman would have blamed Sazz for what happened.
Sazz loving and trusting Charles right 'till the end has me crumbling.
I take back everything even vaguely unkind I've ever thought about Jan. What a beauty, this loyal stylish revenge!
Long live the Arcatacombs!
Winnie is back! (But seriously, where is Mrs. Gambolini?)
You always know just what to say, Uma...
I was right with my prediction about the two sons giving Loretta away. (see: much older post)
Utterly perfect choice to have the Ah, Love! theme from season 3 returning for the wedding, plus having Nat King Cole's tender "When I Fall in Love" there.
But Charles could keep the Belgian shoulder. Maybe?
There was no doorman on duty, she said. There we have it. It was Lester. (Also I couldn't care less about the missing man from the hospital TV yet.)
Bringing back the "Where have you been?" was such a lovely touch to this tender goodbye.
Just realized this is the first time we hear Loretta say she loves him.
Now that ending was gruesome.
Does it count if he technically died outside of the building? Or maybe we find out the body was moved, then it's all according to the rules.

I just got into the Percy Jackson series, so here is a collection of my actual thought process while reading the first book that I bothered to write down. So, spoilers for Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief under the cut. I guess.
EDIT: part 2, part 3, part 4, part 5
Aww, Percy. Neurodivergent rep, I am fed
Is Mr. Brunner Dionysus? I think Dionysus is a major character in this series. But then what’s the wheelchair for? And Dionysus in mythology doesn’t have a beard like that. Oh! What if he’s actually Hephaestus? That would explain the wheelchair and the bearded old man look.
HOLY FUCK IT’S THE MINOTAUR
HOLY SHIT SALLY’S DEAD WHY
Is that tree on the property line the Olive Tree from the founding of Athens myth? Because Percy is the son of Poseidon?
Percy’s dream has got to be some kind of foreshadowing about Poseidon and Zeus fighting each other. Zeus would be the bird because he’s a sky god, and Poseidon would be the horse because in a really really old myth, Poseidon turned himself into a horse to chase down Demeter. Also, the voice from underground egging them on is definitely Hades, because god of the underworld and all that
Also goddammit, Hades is the villain?? Why????? Goddammit, not again…
Mrs. Dodds was definitely a fury, but she’s called a Kindly One. Wonder what that’s about
There’s some Thing about characters dissolving when they die. Wonder what that’s about
Oh shit. I was wrong. Brunner is Chiron. Interesting. Now the whole teacher thing makes sense
Wow, Dionysus is an asshole in this one. He’s more like his older Orphic version than the newer, modern Dionysus I’m familiar with
Everyone is so in love with Luke it's embarrassing
I just adore how casually neurodivergent Percy is. All the jokey references to Dyslexia and ADHD, I just—I love it so much. And I love that it actually is dyslexia and ADHD. And that apparently all the half-bloods are dyslexic and ADHD too. We love to see it.
Oh my God, I love all of these children so much.
HOLY SHIT AUNTY EM IS A GORGON
I WAS RIGHT
I find it amusing that Hermes named the activation password for his magic shoes after his mother
I wonder what Persephone's like
Grover's gonna be the friend to betray Percy, isn't he? He better fucking not be. I love him. If Grover's the Traitor MHA-style, I'm gonna riot
One difference between Harry Potter and Percy Jackson (the characters) is that Harry marvels at every new instance of magic. But after Percy learns about the magic system, he just stops giving a shit. Once he learns that magic is real, he is surprised by absolutely nothing and does not question the irrelevant stuff, like Annabeth's invisibility hat, or how the fuck a ballpoint pen can turn into a sword.
Percy is such a sassy, sarcastic little shit and I love him so fucking much.
ECHIDNA
"Isn't that a kind of anteater?" I love this child
*Percy wondering what all the mirrors are for in the Tunnel of Love*
Me: "It's gotta be a kink thing."
*While Ares and Aphrodite were smooching with each other they could look at their favorite person: themselves*
Me: "Called it."
Wait……. Is the traitor Luke????? He's like the only other "friend" Percy has
Thank God Hades isn't the bad guy
Aw, I wanted to see Persephone. Don't worry, Percy, I'm disappointed too
You know what, from now on, anytime a protagonist has to live with an abusive parent figure, the only resolution I will accept is turning that bitch to stone and selling him on the black market.
Thank God Percy can have a nice, stable home life with his mom in between rounds of risking his life.
I'm so on-board with Percabeth, and this friend group as a whole
I FUCKING CALLED IT! LUKE WAS THE TRAITOR!
Thank God the characters in this book have a fucking brain. Percy's an impulsive little chaos gremlin, but he's not an idiot.
I'm kind of curious to see what the shipping side of the Percy Jackson fandom looks like, cuz Percabeth is great, and I'm pretty sure that's the main canon pairing, so I'm curious….
Honestly, I can't wait for Percy and Annabeth to start dating. I'm so excited to see what their relationship will be like in a romantic context
I love this book and I want more immediately.

St characters ranked by me
even though nobody asked
Lucas Sinclair
Max Mayfield
Erica Sinclair
El/Jane Hopper
Steve Harrington
Will Byers
Robin Buckley
Joyce Byers
Jonathon Byers
Hopper
Murray
Mike wheeler
Dustin Henderson
Argyle
Nancy Wheeler
The entire town of Hawkins
Eddie Munson
Vecna/Henry/001
Billy Hargrove
1- do I even need to explain myself? Lucas solos, end of story, but in all seriousness this guy is just such a good person, whenever he screws up he always takes accountability and apologizes. Lucas is a green flag and good character.
2- Max is a good character, and I wish that her depression has been explored more. I think most of her sarcasm is a defense mechanism and closing off as a trauma response, which I relate to a lot as closing off is also my defense mechanism.
3-Erica is a great character, she's funny, shes nice when she needs to be and it's clear she really does care about her brother. She's wayy too young to be dealing with all the upside down stuff though.
4- El is great, and I would love to see her again her independence and more of a sense of self.
5- Steve is a good guy, he makes mistakes(like a lot) but he tries to make up for them(cleaning off the spray paint, and helping with the camera for example) I definitely think that his whole thing with Nancy this season was weird, but tbh I think the duffers just don't know what to do with him anymore. Cause he was supposed to die, like more than once. All in all I like him as a character.
6- Will is a good character I just think he needs to stop being sidelined so much, which has already been proven to come to fruition in s5.
7- Robin is also a good character who needs more screentime. I would like to see more of who she is separated from Steve.
8- Joyce is good mom, she loves her kids and really tries to help them.
9- Jonathon was a bitch for most of s1, which can be written of as trauma response. He's a great big brother. I would love to see him owning up to his mistakes better, and being honest with nancy. I'll say that the whole taking pictures thing was creepy and he should've apologized to more than just Nancy.
10- I like him, although he makes mistakes, as we all do, but he doesn't really own up to all of them. And in certain moments he was an asshole, but all in all I like him for the most part.
11- Murray is Murray. He's the chaotic neutral. He's not a matchmaker, he's just sick of everyone's bullshit.
12- I have a lot to say about Mike, but as of right now this is where he stays. Because unless he gets confirmed get with IH he's just a little shit.
13- Dustin is funny and nice, but he's also a cocky little asshole a lot of the time. He is the exact type of person I would be friends with in real life though. 😅
14- I like argyle, but he is definitely not fleshed out enough. I need him fleshed out more in the next season.
15- I don't like her very much, shes kinda just a rich entitled white girl. She strung Steve along in s2, she told Jonathon he was pulling the Oliver twist routine and barely apologized. She got all smug when Jonathan apologized. She can't take accountability for her actions well, and that just ticks me off.
16- I don't know much about them but yk.
17- I don't like eddie. I don't get why people like Eddie, he's a greasy twenty year old who basically bullies high schoolers for not being freaks enough. He also sells drugs to minors as a twenty year old. He was kinda at fault for the whole basketball dnd game thing, he acts like having any other interests is wrong and tbh he just feels like the semi-attractive white guy to ship with other semi-attractive white guy. I was sorta indifferent to him at first but then the fandom kept adding him into everything where he absolutely did not need to be. Like, no, he's not gonna come back to life and mentor Will who's gonna come out to him.
18- do I need to explain this? Really? He's evil
19- racist, sexist, greasy, abuser, likely homophobic. Just a shit person let's be real.
Okay that's it this is all my opinion though, please don't hate.

what are your thoughts on Jason and Roy? I have very complicated thoughts about them because on one hand they’re made out to be good friends so often I can’t be ok with them being strangers it makes me sad :( on the other hand they aren’t good friends not really no them because RHATO destroyed Roy :( so they’re in a weird space of “met this guy two weeks ago would’ve died for him for three days and now we don’t really talk” tragic friendship kinda vibe in my brain. I guess that’s even sadder??? But at least the love was there? Sorry for randomly showing up in your ask box 😭 I’m just curious
I have So Many thoughts on Roy and Jason.
I've been learning a lot more about Roy lately, his history and character and he's so cool so it makes me sad what's happened to him in canon (the account royboyfanpage is a wealth of Roy info I love following them)
my problem is that RHATO could have been cool. they could have made Kory, like, important and sentient. they could have just not reduced Roy to the stupid comic relief guy. they could have kept Jason's backstory instead of rewriting one of my favorite origin stories (stealing the batmobile's tires fucks so hard I can't believe Lobdell thought making him steal from Leslie was better??)
I think Jason and Roy have the potential to have a fun, interesting relationship — little brother stealing his older brother's best friends is hilarious. and I know some people (rightfully) have issues with Roy being aged-down to be closer to Jason's age but I think they still have the potential for hilarity at their relative canon ages.
I like fics that portray Jason and Roy as chaotic, and I do often like Jason/Roy fics because I think the dynamic can be really well written — especially in AUs. I like Jason and Roy bitching about Oliver and Bruce (even though Ollie is like, leagues better than Bruce in canon and loves Roy So Much)
I think what I've learned is that while I enjoy Jason/Roy I really understand why Roy lovers hate Jason because when Jason is in Roy's story it does necessitate some level of character assassination. either by changing Roy's age, changing his relationship with Oliver, changing his relationship with Dick, changing his character in general via Lobdell's bullshit (if I catch u Scott I stg)
which sucks, because I think there are people out there writing really complex Jason/Roy relationships that challenge both characters and complete some great character analysis. you just have to be careful and aware of the way Roy is portrayed to not shape his character to suit Jason, cause that sucks
in the end, I'll still read Jason/Roy, because I like it. sometimes I dislike it in the same way I dislike other characterizations of other batfam and batfam adjacent characters. but I'm taking my time learning about Roy and I'm adding some Green Arrow comics to my tbr (which is 10 miles long) cause if I'm gonna write about Roy I want to understand him

Ngl I don't know how to feel about winds of anthos. I have so many thoughts about the game after finishing the main story line (dont have the kid yet but it's incubating).
Long post after the break.
I've seen a lot of praise for the game and I get it, I really liked the game in the beginning too, could hardly put it down, but after finishing the main story it's kinda lacking (which makes sense, I mean I finished the game, it's gonna be out of content at some point). But after a few days of reflection on the game I've decided it's just not that great? Am I missing something?
Like, I get it, I like the open world exploration, I felt so claustrophobic in pioneers of olive town and even the wonderful life remake, but once you've seen it all that's it, the land is barren too which makes it feels so boring and it's not interesting to look at either. One thing that pissed me off a lot was the fucking mountains that are so hard to navigate, but I think that's really just a me problem.
Then there are the characters and honestly o can't even tell them apart at this point, they are all (most of them) default nice with no personality, especially the bachelorettes, I always feel like fictional women lack personality in general. The only character (apart from doc) who stood out was Nickolai and only because he's autistic (blunt and not very nice). And don't get me started on the design, Arnold with the "one two buckle my shoe" and Ella looking like a pokemon trainer when she's supposed to be an artist from a swiss inspired town from what I can tell. She just doesn't look like she belongs in the town and I don't know if it's further explain through her flower events but she doesn't seem to hate living here or hate the town so I don't understand why she has to stand out so much.
Speaking of flower events, those were boring as well. I can hardly remember what even happened in them, all I remember was being a little disappointed when I realized all the 6 music notes events (the one after you start dating) are all the same, you go to a secluded location, look over the town and chat. That's it, for all of the 3 guys I started dating (again, I don't know if it's different with the other marriage candidates but I doubt it).
I felt like the pace was off too, I don't know when you're supposed to finish the main story line, I finished in winter of the first year I think, it was very early on and I only played for 30ish hours and finished the game. I found the tasks so tedious I wanted to get them over with asap, I was so done with the characters being like "thanks for getting us this ore, now onto your next mission, get this other ore, kay, thanks, byeee" maybe because the main quest was under the request tab with all the other requests but it didn't feel special enough. I also hated having to sift through this long list of requests that never seemed to get shorter since every morning, there would be mail of some villager needing something. It was just so annoying, I just wanted to clear my requests once and start anew but the game really didnt want me to I guess.
As I was saying earlier, I finished the game in winter of year one (or spring year two I don't remember). Great, now what? I'm still not married because I couldn't advance my relationship with Westley until I fixed the harvest goddess spring, so I worked on that (and Nickolai and Arnold). I saw what I needed for the house upgrade and did that, yay bigger house. Checked the guide (God bless FOGU) to see why I didn't have a double bed/two beds and I need another upgrade??? That's 250,000 gold not counting the pain of getting high quality lumber boards and square, having to resort to buying them with added another (approximately) 60,000. I grinded by fishing and finally got married in summer. I have to wait a season to realize I'm pregnant. I have to wait another season to give birth. Then, another season for the bitch to crawl and then, a season later, it's able to walk and even talk. Right now, I have to wait for another year for the baby to start being useful to me (by which I mean it can talk and explore the farm). I'm already bored by having to maintain the farm, I wake up and water the cows or whatever, I usually go to bed at 8 or 9 am because I wanna get this over with at this point.
(I just realized you can't use your camera indoors, how will I take cute baby pics of the fucker? I wanted my whole camera roll full of blurry baby pics.)
Am I playing the game wrong? Why am I not enjoying the game the way others seem to enjoy it? It's tedious for me now, maybe I just need a break from farming.
I feel like you need to be a very specific person to fully enjoy this game, and it ain't me. I miss animal parade.

Ruby Gillman: Teenage Kraken/Meet the Gillmans
Meet The Gillmans (or Ruby Gillman: Teenage Kraken) is an upcoming animated film produced by DreamWorks Animation. There is no date yet but it’s supposed to come out in Summer 2023.
"Meet the Gillmans is the story of a typical teenage girl, Ruby. Growing up in a seaside town in Florida. Like all teenagers, she’s embarrassed by her family. Only in this case, Ruby has extra reason to be embarrassed; because she’s from a family of…sea monsters. No one in town knows this (the Gillmans are “different” but the locals chalk it up to them being from Canada), but poor Ruby is scared to death that someday the truth will come out. If this happened, what would become of her social life? It would be calamitous. Naturally, the truth comes out, and disaster ensues."
I'm curious about how the animation is going to look. Are they going to do what they did with The Bad Guys and Puss in Boots the Last Wish or something completely different? I mean both of the previously mentioned films still look distinct enough with their character designs.
Speaking of The Bad Guys, I wonder if they're going to do the same thing with the ''disguises'' being more of a joke. You can clearly see in the concept art that she's a color no human can be, she's got tentacles and fins. I wouldn't chuck it up to her and her family just being Canadians. Maybe it's after they're outed as sea monsters.
That's a thing I love about this plot. Usually when the plot revolves around monsters or just anybody hiding the truth doesn't come out until the very end. Maybe one person or a group of misfits find something/someone, and they're scared of it at first but after bonding with it they decide to help it, and hijinks and action ensue. In the end, they either succeed in finding a safe haven for the creature or the truth comes out. When the latter happens the villains have a chance to see the error of their ways and befriend the thing they're been chasing after or get killed off. Preferably by their own stubbornness. We can't have the mascot of the movie be a killer even in self-defense. It's such a great idea to start the movie or at least dedicate a good chunk of it to what happens after the world finds out mythical/magical creatures exist. Everyone will have a ton of questions. What will the other sea monsters think? Will they come out of hiding knowing they're not hated or will they be angry with the Gillmans? Are there more mythical creatures they don't know about? The character's list mentions a mermaid. Do they know her? Is she the villain? Will there be a villain?
Speaking of the characters, let's have a look at them.
Clarica, mermaid. We know nothing about her besides that she might be voiced by Annie Murphy.
Dad, keeper of the peace in the family. They’re interested in Michael Sheen and Ty Burrell. They have discussed with Josh Duhamel, Jimmi Simpson, Oliver Hudson.
Agatha, tough-loving mother. Regina King is on the short list for her. Uma Thurman has had discussions for the role.
Uncle Brill, quirky and loving uncle.
Unknown role, they’ve offered Lana Condor the role and has discussed with Rachel Zegler and Brittany O’Grady.
As you can see there's not much to go by. Parents sound interesting. I wonder what their dynamic is going to be like. Please for the love of God not another idiot husband and bitch of a mother. But Dreamworks has some of the best couples in movie history. I'm sure we'll have another power couple and people will simp over them. I bet!
Uncle Brill sounds fun. He's probably going to be a lot of people's favorite. Going off his description he's going to be somewhat of a sidekick to Ruby, get into a lot of wacky situations being able to finally show his true self, and be the reason for a lot of those ''embarrassing'' situations.
Ruby herself is ‘‘your typical teenage girl‘‘ and the least interesting character so far. We have to wait and see what they'll do with her arc in the movie. She'll probably learn to not be so embarrassed by her own family.
Clarica is just a mermaid so far.
Who is his mystery character? A villain? A potential love interest from the concept art?
How would you name the dad? I think Ben or Ricou. Names of actors who played The Gillman from the Creature from the Black Lagoon.
Who do you think should voice act?
I'll try to keep you updated and share if you have any information of your own.

Rewatch of Only Murders In The Building to prepare for season 4 (III)
<Part I> // <Part II>
Block #OMITBRewatch if you don’t want to read notes that will have spoilers up to seasons 3. Just to make it clear, while quoting, I use M, O, C for the main characters.
Also I'm putting this under a read more because it gets long.
S1 E9
Jen is freaky...
"Mable is gonna be looking at me with those damn Cocker Spaniel eyes. "
Oh! I like Pataki. She is so cool!
C: "Everybody loves Sazz."
Love how everyone thinks, that Sazz is Charles xD
Also Oliver just moving in with Charles.
It is kind of sad, that Jan is pushed to the sideline because of Sazz.
But Sazz is right, they ignored the motive... and yeah I remember.
Bunnie "First... Tim Kono's death has now been ruled a homocide and, apparently, one of you jerk-offs did it."
Bunny: "By a show of hands, who here thinks our building would be better off without these three fuckwads?"
Bunny: "The rest of you, in case you are a murderer, STOP MURDERING!"
So, how fucked up is it that you can lose your own apartment because enough of your neighbours don't like you? A place you own and still have to pay for?
It's sad... the whole breaking up of the trio...
Oscar: "See you, Ollie."
Sazz is great! But she is only half-right about Jen being the girl for Charles.
... oh that is so bitter, that Jen again gots sidelined.
Meanwhile Mable and Oliver solve the case.
S1 E10
Just 23 seconds...
Jan is freaky... but Kono was apparently a real beast too.
C: "What's going on?" M: "So, funny story..." O: "YOU'RE SLEEPING WITH A MURDERER!"
... wow Oliver is as tactful as a sledgehammer XD
Also ... the scandal! The age difference! In both directions! Don't let the anti's hear!
Yep... it's her handwriting all right. The same handwriting as the suicide notes, and the threats on the doors... my guys...
It is always a good idea to compare the notes.
I remember being annoyed about that the first time watching too.
It's cute that Charles always thinks the best of people.
C: "Can we not talk about Tim Kono right now?" Jan: "Of course. What do you wanna talk about?" C: "That I think I'm falling in love with you." Jen: "Oh. Well, that is interesting." *Long Pause that is totally not ominous and watching Jen's expression is not alarming at all.* Jan: "Because I think I'm falling in love with you, too."
Kinda awkward...
... Charles is confronting Jen...
Jen is freaky. Really freaky.
M: She's a poisoner... who uses a label maker?
"Jan's Lil T🖤xins"
O: "The saddest thing about this is that if Jan weren't a murderous maniac she'd be perfect for Charles."
lmao Charles is amazing, he figured out that it's a recording, he figured out the writing! He is the saving grace!
Of course she stabbed herself.
Jan is a freak.
Jan: "This is definiatly one of my rougher break ups, charles. I really did fall in love with you. Sadly, I will not be seeing you bas-sooner or later."
Siri is so stupid.
"Okay, playing "Fields of Gold" by Sting."
How no one is going to help Charles... but Sevelin is really cute!
HOW aBOUT YOU PULL THE FIRE ALARM?!
Love how Oliver knows how to stop "the thing" but has no words. And it's still working.
Charles speech is so good... so heartfelt! And in reality no one hears it. (slurred, garbled nonsense)
Good thing they managed to punch down Jan.
Bunny: "Oliver. It seems due to the events of tonight, there's been a reversal in sentiment regarding your tenancies here at the Arconia." O: "Oh, please just say it, Bunny. 'Welcome back you sexy thing!'" Bunny: "I'll get you gone sooner or later. You're all idiots!" M: "Hey, Bunny. Congrats. You're the most hated person in the building now, you cranky old bitch."
And that is called foreshadowing.
Yay, Willy and Oliver made up!
Mabel and Oscar are a cute couple.
Charles, contacting Lucy... and she answers!
*Charles recording the last lines of the podcast* M: "That was amazing." O: "I mean, I just... That-that's the best performance you've ever given. I have nothing left to teach you." C: "Really? So I can finally add 'voiceover acting' to my resume?" O: "Well, let's not get ahead of ourselves."
Some lose ends... indeed... I know we met the next murderer already.
Aw... you two are already besties.
And we're back at episode one.
That is an incredible wrap and an incredible transition that makes you want to watch the second season instantly. Which we will do!
All three get taken into custody, because it looks like Mable killed Bunny.
Cinda Canning is such a bitch. You instantly feel sorry for Poppy.
S2 E1
That other detective is a real cliché. And a dick. Forgot his name, I'll add it alter.
Lmao, Mabel is correct. No murder weapon.
C: "Oh my god!" D: M: "Oh my god!" D: O: "Oh my god!" :D
Oliver lives for the attention.
O: "Like your beats?" M: "Huh?" O: "It's a callback."
M: "I need a life, away from death. "We should all just be a little bit boring again" O: "Can I just say something? I'd rather be dead than boring!"
Charles would watch people play chess in the park, Oliver would go have brunch.
I mean, come on... who called the cops? Who knew that there is a dead person in Mables apartment. That would be the question I'd ask as a detective.
#bloodymabel
user: goaskalice!
Alice is a great character but I really want to know what exactly happened with Oscar.
The mural is great!
O: "Well, hello there Amy Schumer."
Amy: "Would you ever consider selling me the right to the podcast, so I could turn it into an 8 to 10 episode streaming series with exclusive internet content, leading to gamification?"
Is there exclusive internet conten of "Only Murders in the Building"?
Uncle Brazzos
The short hair looks good on Mabel.
Alice is weird.
She never said it's not a cult.
"I'm Cinda Canning, bitch." - "Girl, you crime is showing." - "Tune in weekly as our investigation unfolds weekly."
American knitting is so different to our european? german? knitting.
O: "We need to go full "OliMabel" here." M: "What the fuck?" C: "What?" O: "OliMabel! That's our ship name. All our names put into one." C: "Where is the 'Charles' in 'OliMabel'?" O: "The Charles is silent."
... of course people ship them and it's an awful thought xD Also OliMabel for the OT3 is a BAD ship name. The shippers should be ashamed. Call them Murder-Trio or Podcast-Shipping... though Podcast-Shipping might be any of the main three with Cinda. CharOliMa would still be better... really fictional fans are always so weird. And that says something. XD
Bunny: "Fuck off, Oliver."
Time for a call back to Ace Attorney.
M: "Bunny had a bird?"
Bunny was a freak.
I actually like the friendship between Bunny and Uma... also Howard, kinda.
Uma: "There should be a naked man on this wall! Where are the balls, Howard?"
That old Elevator is really cool.
C: "We find the painting, we find the killer."
And so starts season two.
Charles: Come here right away Charles (Old): Come here right away
There is the painting. And it shows Charles dad... but I don't see any balls.
S2 E2
Archibald (Bunny's grandpa and the arcitect) was a freak!
Charles dad was old when he had Charles.
M: "The painting is called Savage."
Guys, I'm not native speaker but the word "savage" has a meaning and especially in an erotic context it is probably a double innuendo considering that one of the models was named "Savage".
Thanks Howard.
IT TOOK ME UNTIL NOW TO SEE THAT BUNNY IS WALKING HER BIRD, MRS GAMBOLINI, IN THE INTRO! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!
Uma, screw off tops on wine bottles are not a sign of low quality wine. I don't think they even sell new bottles with cork, And wine maker agree on this. it's a bit cheaper and better for the environment.
Nina Lin... last season she was not that pregnant. Time passed.
Uma and Bunny were such good friends.
"I am Leonora Folger. The mother of Bunny."
O: "Please, be cool." C: "Hey, who is cooler than me?" M: "Everyone."
People who hate us: Uma, Teddy Dimas, Theo Dimas, Jen
Charles putting himself as a possible suspect.
Alice: "Um, yeah, we all work back here. Some... Sometimes, I like to cry back here because I'm a fraud. It's a multipurpose space." ... ah... the artist expierence and self depricating jokes. How awkward.
Even during the first run I did not like Alice. She came off as somewhat weird... I don't like the self depricating and sometimes her comments are off-handed also that other thing she does at the end of the season... so yeah. I was willing to cut her some slack but she is awful. Great character though! And of course Cara Delevingne is doing an amazing job!
Alice: "I've been hideously blocked for a year, stuck in the past, no moving forward. Do you ever feel that way?" M: "Yeah, all the time." Alice: "Hm, stupid question. Of course you do."
I like to draw but honest to god, I don't get art.
OF COURSE THE PICTURE IS GONE!
Amy: "Hey Putnum! Never touch my dumpster art."
Amy: "My pesky lawyers tell me I can't make deals with murderers...again."
I don't like Alice humor even though it's not so far off from Mables.
Well, there is the kiss.
Amy is a freak. Lmao
Love how the police did not give a fuck about a small boy.
Call back to Ace Attorney.

The Promised Neverland - Kaiu Shirai/Posuka Demizu Vol. 16-20: A “YOU STUCK THE LANDING!” Commentary + Overall Thoughts
-the seven walls are time and space? very interesting.
-smol emma jumping out of the cupboard and screaming RAAAYYY is the epitome of emma.
-jeez, hayato is adorable
-wth, ayshe's and demon's story is heartbreaking
-one thing i have to commend the manga for is structure. it stops the action and moves away to keep the tension- but just so. just for long enough. not too long so that it becomes frustrating or that you've forgotten what's happening.
-julius' comrades as first food offers?! JEEZ!
-hayato is a snitch.
-Iss should ask for emma's family, right? the most important thing to her? i call the being "Iss," yes. i don't know what to do with the lettering
-okay, clearly the reward is an emma sacrifice, but i don't believe for a second that emma will get an unhappy ending so how are we solving this
-oi! OI! NORMAN IS COUGHING UP BLOOD, OI, STOP THAT! i figured he might have been experimented on too, but oi~
-omg ray's so happy to see sonju and mujika
-low-key cathartic that emma calls norman a liar that she can't trust. yes, girl, say it. it's the same thing, always the same story, it goes beyond this manga. the positive traits when someone is your ally become negative traits when they become the opposition, even though the person themselves hasn't changed at all.
-norman's "i'm scared" inner thoughts are heartbreaking
-the part where norman asks ray and emma to help him, heartbreaking
-norman: gives the most honest and vulnerable "i want" speech of his life. ray: got it. the brevity, the simplicity, i love it.
-with all those lil lines on his face, i'm just imagining norman permanently beet red at this point. and i love the idea that extreme determination and single-mindedness can actually be a cry for help. i haven't seen it put so bluntly before, and it's very true.
-now that norman's opened up, he looks like emma and ray's age. it's cool
-OI BITCH LEAVE ZAZIE ALONE!
-SONJU IS THE QUEEN'S BROTHER?!?! PRINCE SONJU?!
-why did they give norman a bow, that boy can't shoot to save his life
-REDEEM YOURSELF, ISABELLA! NOW IS YOUR TIME TO SHINE
-yes, oliver, slay! we love to see it
-damn there's such good moments in these final volumes, i'm starting to worry about s2 of the anime. is any of that there?
-YES ISABELLA YES! YES! she looks so chipper when she explains she'll betray the farm, lol.
-i know i'm obsessed with aot, but at times i legit think the promised neverland is the deliberate antithesis of aot. and i have no problem with that.
-leuvis is also a sibling? did we know that? if so, i forgot.
-ray's scarf is blue?! i imagined it maroon
-ugh, they shot minerva in the back. somehow that feels worse
-SMEE?! SMEE?! SMEE KILLED MINERVA?! NORMAN'S SMEE?! (*in retrospect, norman’s smee is never explored, oof. an oversight)
-ray and norman are having a sweet moment in the panel where everyone's celebrating the end of the farms, it's adorable
-aah okay, not gonna lie, i teared up at emma and phil's reunion
-ray's expression when he says sorry and thanks to phil, they nail it.
-oooh you're killing off isabella? i didn't expect it, but it makes sense.
-yeah, of course they love isabella and isabella loves them. it's not as black and white as ally and enemy.
-don be like, "RAY GET YOUR ASS OVER HERE, MOM IS CALLING"
-ray continues to be my favorite and most nuanced character, followed by norman. but ray is number one by far. by far far far
-I CALLED IT, THE REWARD MUST BE EMMA'S FAMILY! i don't know what that means yet, BUT I CALLED IT because the story abides by its logic, love that for it
-lmao imagine how terrified all these children/adults who knew nothing must be, just whooshing out of existence into another world
-AHAHA EMMA'S NOT HERE! NICE! what did she do and how do we save her
-yes, that's a good reward. true to the story. i mean, bad for everyone, but narratively good. amnesiac emma
-emma feeling the void in the space inside of her where her family was, very well-expressed
-ah. final chapter. please stick the landing.
-TWO YEARS! IT'S BEEN TWO YEARS!
-GHOSTIES SAVING THE DAY AAAHHHH
-ASDJHKSFJK THEY FOUND HER, WHAT A GREAT PANEL, RAY AND NORMAN AND EVERYONE. she must be terrified. they're all strangers.
-my boy ray shines, i love it
-aww norman "thank goodness," what a soft boy. also he's crying, have we ever seen him cry before? he didn't cry for isabella
-the lambda group thriving :'))) they have effective medicine for their side effects :')))
-dang it, norman's speech is giving me the feels
-"why does it feel warm but also painful in my heart?" is literally a summary of the final chapter.
-ah, bb ray is crying now too
-THEY'RE GONNA LIVE TOGETHERRRR, SCREW DESTINY
-mujika looks happy, and sonju looks sonjuish :)
-not sure if the old man knows it, but he's just been adopted by fifty thousand children
-okay, i am so happy. this is a perfect ending. this is just. it's so good. it tooketh and it gaveth and now the mini torettos can all live together. i'm so happy with the ending.
~ ~~ ~~~
-i'm so happy in general that i read the manga. we started off neutrally, then things got rough and i genuinely thought if it might be better to quit, but from around the midpoint and onward it just got better and better. the story is exactly what it promises to be, very true to itself, and it pays off in every aspect.
-ray is my GOAT in this manga. norman is as nuanced as ray, i just vibe with ray the most. but i consider them both good characters. emma, on the other hand, is a very straightforward character, very static, but she works. she is the pillar of the story and she's exactly what she's meant to be. i like that she pushes everyone towards kindness, and when *they* can't be kind, she takes care of the issue herself from a place of kindness so that they won't have to fight from a place of unkindness. it's an interesting approach. and then, i have a soft spot for oliver and hayato for some reason.
-one thing that made me roll my eyes was that in such a huge cast, everything is so unanimous. the norman and vincent incident aside, there's no fights, no real resistance, no dissent. but it's not the kind of story where there would be, where there would be a point to be, so i don't feel like holding that against it. and it tried to give it that aspect too, with emma going against her fam to find Iss and all that.
-everything abides by the logic and tone of the story. and the ending just elevates the whole thing even higher, because it stuck the landing so well imo.
-now on to the anime, to finally hear their voices. i fear for the dreaded s2, and dare i say, i am also a little intrigued.
#the promised neverland#the promised neverland manga#manga#manga commentary#now on to MORIARTYYY#i didn't mean to. i had no intention. but#but i've seen some fanart. and i have questions

Re: the Oliver bi post -
I wouldn’t be surprised if Oliver was bi and just hasn’t come out to the public yet. Going by how eloquent he id and how he speaks during interviews addressing Buck’s sexuality or the inclusiveness of the show, he’s either a part of the community imo or the world’s best Ally. (Capital A)
It’s weird to speculate on real people’s sexuality, but either way I’m grateful as a bi person to have him in our corner regardless of how he identifies :)
Being the nosy bitch I am, I am rather okay with the fact that I’m always googling people’s personal lives and talking about it in some form. It’s been a long lived trait of my personality, as I tend to just want to know information about people and things. I never take it out of fandom spaces, don’t overstep by invading actual privacy, and try my best to dial my curiosity back, but as you can tell from this blog alone… I often fail on the latter.
That said, I don’t think I venture too deep into Oliver’s sexuality, because he doesn’t really give me closeted vibes. Not that I can tell one way or the other for real, but after my initial search to see if he was, I just idk… believe him saying he’s an ally. He seems incredibly comfortable with himself and doesn’t really take shit from people. And while that isn’t exclusive to allies, I do think it’s possible that if Oliver were queer, it’s something he’d refuse to take shit for. I feel like his personality would lean more toward being out and outspoken about it, because from a fan pov, he seems more than fine telling people to shut the fuck up and fuck off if they have something bad to say about him or the things he believes in.
However, I do understand the nuisance that comes with being closeted, so I can’t say what you think is an impossibility. He could very well be bisexual and just not out. To me though, if he does end up coming out, I still think it’d probably be because he realized his queerness due to being such an advocate for Buck’s. Which, maybe that’s me speaking from a slightly personal experience? Idk.
I always thought myself an ally and open minded, and I would much rather invest in queer stories than not, but I didn’t think anything was odd about that due to again, the assumption that investing in queer characters and their stories was just the right thing to do as someone who isn’t a bigot.
Nope, I’m just asexual, lol. My intrigue is rooted in wanting to see relationships play out on screen between people who don’t fit into cis/het boxes, because growing up that’s all I saw. Men and women kissing and falling in love and that being the “right way” to showcase romance. Realizing I’m ace and have very little interest in traditional romance helped me let go of a lot of hang ups that I had about myself.
So it’s possible I’m projecting like shit, but yeah. I don’t think Oliver is bi necessarily, but if he is, I do think it’s something he would most likely have discovered recently.
Sidebar: Two of his tattoos did add to my initial wonderings about him though, I will admit. He and I are in the same age group, so I feel like it’s fine to assume he also knows the rumors about his arm bands and the hollow star tattoo. They don’t mean a man is queer, but growing up in the early 2000s, those two things were like rumored signifiers. So when I saw him with them, I just assumed he was in the closet. Now though, I’m more just like, maybe that was just a point in time when a lot of queer men had those tattoos and to Oliver they don’t mean the same thing.
Doesn’t matter either way, but yeah.
Thanks for stopping by though, and not yelling at me for making a post about how I’d find it funny if his life imitated his art!

Finally finished tma after ummm three attempts to make it through s5 since it began airing here are my collective thoughts.
- Jon innocent... JON INNOCENT!!!!!
- I think martin was quite endearingly pathetic and I liked when he got cuntish but he and jon together mean nothing to me. And I hate him in season 5. I DONT CAAAARE HOW MEAN YOUR MOMMY WAS
- TIM 5EVER only person who actually had legitimate grievances with jon that led to interesting conflict + the added benefit of him and jon's pre-existing relationship that makes them falling apart so goooood
- sasha bad bitch oat
- I enjoy basira but I wish they let her be unequivocally shitty more, she was at her best when she was trying to rationalize away daisy's terribleness and daisy had to be like, no I did know what I was doing and I liked it. That kind of cognitive dissonance is really interesting. I think painting her like the single rational one is a massive disservice to her character and also plain wrong. Hate her in s4&5
- daisy. Hated her for a really long time and I still do but i think she has the most interesting relationship with jon. Like they start off with her using her murdercop privileges to brutalize and almost kill him and that can never be erased but then in his s4 suicidal doom spiral he decides to save her or kill himself trying and then they survive the buried together and there's the inexorable bond between them and they understand each other better than anyone else in the world. And yet he is and always will be terrified of her even though she no longer is a threat. Someone who did you irreversible harm but is also the one you trust the most.... That's JUICY there's real pathos there
- melanie.... well she's melanie. Good with everyone else but when she's in a scene with jon in s3/4/5 it makes me want to stop listening. Cutting out her own eyes was extremely ballsy and swagful I cant lie shes iconic for it. I feel like this makes it seem like I dislike her its just I sided with jon in the divorce (nonconsensual surgery). If we count s5 in canon I dislike her.
- I like georgie a lot but I think her relationship with jon is more fascinating than her relationship with melanie so I don't care for her direction post s3. If we count s5 in canon she annoys me.
- elias. teehee. I've already said too much
- plukas... What do you want me to do? Say I don't like shitty old men? Because that would be a lie.
I think that's all of main cast. Uhhhhh salesa hot distortions hot nikola hot. Oliver iconic. Don't really care about most of the other avatars or one-off characters. GERRY KEAY GOTH LEGEND. OH. gertrude and her 24/7 dom/sub insane unsafe dubcon yet consensual workplace relationships with all her archival assistants and also agnes.... that's where it's at baby. I was a gertrudesasha warrior for a good few months there. Anyway. S5 had almost no redeeming qualities and I'll be pretending 160 was the finale. Okay. I finally exorcised this demon. PLEASE CLAP.

m. l. rio - if we were villains
Hi, it's been a while! I've been itching to write a book review because it's been over a year now, and sometimes I just have to scream about books in other places than on Discord (I still scream about books on Discord, but shh).
So why not just write a book review about a book that I did not enjoy? Haha, what a funny thing nobody has ever done before! I sure wonder what this funny guy is going to say about this book he didn't enjoy.
Anyway, this is going to be pretty long, and I'm gonna bitch about a bunch of stuff in here. Will contain spoilers.
Content warnings:
substance abuse (alcohol, drugs)
cheating
suicide
This book was my first venture into the dark academia genre/aesthetic, something I'd seen a bunch of stolen Tiktoks about on my Pinterest feed, but never paid too much attention to, mostly because I don't really care about stories centered on students. Maybe that should have been my first warning sign.
Initially, I wanted to read The Secret History by Donna Tartt because that's apparently what's seen as the dark academia staple, but I decided to stick to this because it was the only book I'd found an audiobook of on Scribd, and audiobooks are more digestible. Read a bit of the blurb and thought, "okay, sounds like it could be interesting".
Man was I wrong.
Reading the blurb, I already knew I'd have to handle pretty pretentious characters, because there's nothing more pretentious than a group of more or less wealthy white theater kids obsessed with Shakespeare (except for rich white business majors and law majors, put one of each category in a locked room and they'd maul each other within 0.5 seconds like wild beasts trying to one-up the other), but holy shit, it was worse than I'd anticipated.
The writing makes everyone and especially Oliver (the narrator) sound insufferable to the point where I wished they could simply shut up. Unfortunately, this book has slug-like pacing and bitches who love to talk on top of chapters that are padded with lines copied verbatim from Shakespeare plays because admittedly you need a very high IQ to understand the nuances and intricacies of Shakespeare plays and how it influences the characters.
And while we're still on writing: while in theory, the script-like snippets are a fun nod to how plays are formatted, it simply doesn't work in audiobook format. Really grating to hear things like "James: Cock" "Me: So true bestie" when my patience was already wearing thin the more I listened to it.
Yet, the writing wasn't the most infuriating aspect of this book to me. I think what infuriates me the most about If We Were Villains is that, ultimately, the entire book tries so hard to be deep and emotional regarding its plot and its characters when said plot is predictably boring and the characters have the depth of a single sheet of paper.
So let's talk about the plot! By the halfway point in the first part of the book, it was made obvious who would die between the main characters, but comically so. The moment Richard started acting up, I felt like the author slapped a huge sign on his head like "Watch out! He's either the bad guy or... THE VICTIM! OMG!" because there was no way Mrs Rio could come back from turning Richard into a goofy Sunday morning kids cartoon villain. And as soon as Richard died, I also predicted the twist itself, because it was so goddamn obvious it felt like it was screamed into my ears.
Now, I usually don't mind if a plotline is predictable. Actually, I enjoy it! It makes me feel smart to predict things and figure out what's happening, and it usually keeps me engaged rather than plot twists that are pulled out of the author's ass! The problem with this book, though, is that I wasn't engaged in the characters to begin with, so following them going through their problems after Richard's death just made me feel a total sense of apathy followed by "so... when are we getting to more plot?"
It focuses too much on trying to give emotional depth to characters whom, in my opinion, severely lack it to begin with. The main characters aren't interesting to me, they're just puppets with names on them at this point. They can really just be summed up into archetypes that are barely explored in a way that feels compelling:
Oliver: The average joe. Oh, look at him, he's so average and surrounded by people who are so much more interesting than him (this is a lie)!
James: The guy. I'm struggling to find anything interesting about him, besides the fact that he's Oliver's best friend and roommate. You can tell he's important because he's Oliver's roommate. I think a loaf of white bread would be more memorable as a character than him.
Richard: Probably the most interesting character in the cast, ironically, solely because he's a fish out of the water. By that, I mean that he's just a jock in the middle of theater kids. Besides that, he's laughable at best: the author tries so hard to make him devoid of anything sympathetic in the moments leading up to his death that it nullifies any emotional investment you could have in any of the characters.
Meredith: The hot girl but like not in an objectified way, in a gaslight gatekeep girlboss way (this is a lie). Richard's girlfriend. Can't catch a break because everyone and their mom objectifies and slut shames her. She usually breasts boobily, not in written script but in spirit due to how her role in the story is pretty much "piece of meat".
Alexander: The weed-smoking gay literature major stereotype, except in a special way because he objectifies Meredith too, for some reason. Diversity win! Gay man is also gross towards women!
Filippa, Wren and Colin: Filippa and Wren exist for the sole purpose of not turning this cast into a complete sausage fest (& Knuckles Meredith). Filippa is the good friend who covers everyone, and Wren is the fragile frail uwu girl. Colin exists solely to be Alexander's boyfriend.
What a totally charming cast of characters who are oh so full of depth, and completely developed throughout this book. There's also a detective guy, but I completely forgot his name because the book spent too much time on this group of pretentious theater kids whining about their interpersonal relationships.
Man, just talking about how much this book bored me is becoming a pain in the ass, so I'll just summarize what I thought about the book here:
Pretentious, flowery writing with sluggish and often jarring pacing
Characters who are equally pretentious and whose high airs desperately try to hide the innate nothing burger-ness of their existence
Extremely predictable plot that's handed to the reader on a platter by the first part, making the reading experience that much more boring when you have 0 affinity nor sympathy for any of the cast members
Final rating: 1/5 (2.29/10 on CAWPILE). I should have dropped this book when I predicted the entire plot instead of being stubborn.

about the wip ask thingie: i hope it's not too many for one ask but i'd be really interested to see what these are about ? <3
-something something Victorian Steampunk Fantasy AU
-Née en 1789
-Schoethe Prügelei
Nah, it's not too many. I just hope you don't mind that I'm just babbling about them, not giving out snippets, since I'm not yet that comfortable with the scenes I have written for them. Here we go!
The "Victorian Steampunk Fantasy AU" is one of my more out-there Tatort AUs - meaning, I'm borrowing all my Tatort darlings and a crime-related plot, and implant those into a world that leaves me to a bit more creative freedom. In this case, the setting is basically Carnival Row, because the aesthetic is KILLER. It's like a late 19th century industrialization age city with a ton of immigrants, not all of whom are human. And this kind of Urban Fantasy is what I wanted for my Tatort blorbos, changing them into merpeople (who live in the city's canal), harpies (who are mostly exploited as factory workers), werewolves and fauns and fae with their own issues to deal with. Throw in my local high-society dryad wanting to find out who killed her husband in a politically perilous situation, me setting up my idiots to investigate, and some interspecies romance for good measure. Too many characters, too ambitious.
"Née en 1789" is a little less complicated, in that it's just historical without Fantasy aspects. It's original fiction tho, no fanfic, and it's the story of my OC Laurielle de Laine, who started out as a Polly Oliver joining the French army in 1805, dressed up as a young man. By now, I've come to think of Laurie as nonbinary, even though time and age lack the concept as well as appropriate pronouns. Laurie's family has some scars to bear from the revolution, and it has left Laurie with several emotional issues. Eventually, an uneasy relationship between Laurie and Napoleon begins (bc Napoleon is a slut; Laurie shares him with his wife and a polycule of three girlfriends...), but they spend a lot of time yelling at each other, and eventually Napoleon questions Laurie's loyalty as a soldier when there's a Russian officer taking an interest, albeit more of a personal one. After trying out the whole concept of betrayal, Laurie's way leads back to France and then all the way to St. Helena, outliving Napoleon and, years later, fighting in another revolution.
"Schoethe Prügelei" - I think you were around when this idea was born, and fed me material to work with XD Wasn't it one of the early polls that came around and asked which of them would win a brawl in the mall parking lot? And I went, "I need to write this"... and haven't written it so far, even though it shouldn't be more than a little one-shot. It's modern Goethe and Schiller beating the crap out of each other over literacy / philosophical differences, and then going, "huh, he's kinda sexy with blood on his face". They'll go out for a coffee by the end of it, but not before some mutual bitching.
