I wish that we could have seen Halsin adopt Yenna after the game.

Out of all the companions, Halsin, Jaheira, Minsc, and Karlach are the nicest to her. Karlach treats her like a little sister, Jaheira has that sort of "mom to all" vibe, and Minsc just likes everyone and he's a huge protective himbo.

But Halsin... there's just something different. Like when Yenna asks to stay, and the others are like "yeah, let the kid stay" (or... not) and a few others are suggesting fun things to do together to keep her entertained. Karlach suggests a game, Jaheira jokes about helping find out who snores (it's all of them) and Minsc suggests playing with Boo.

But Halsin.

Halsin softly says "only a truly callous heart could refuse. Besides, our little abode could use a child's laughter."

He doesn't just want Yenna around because she needs their protection; he wants her around because he adores children (and very clearly desperately wants one of his own). Halsin already shows so much deep care for her just in those lines. And then you add in the rest- how he cares for Thaniel and Oliver, how he never got to start a family because of his Druidic duties, how he worries so much about her plight that it's specifically one of the reasons he gives for being disgusted by the city, how he takes it the hardest of ANYONE if Yenna dies to the point that he, and he ALONE, has an option for the player to check in on him if Yenna dies after Orin impersonates Lae'zel.

Halsin wants Yenna around, not just because she's a child in need, but because he's in need of a child, too. He has a child-shaped hole in his heart and he wants her around to fill it. :(

Halsin needs Yenna as much as she needs him. Why couldn't the game have shown us him adopting her and Grub into his commune, too? :( Imagine him introducing her to Thaniel and Oliver...

Diner Girl PT 1

🦆: First Post in awhile took a break as I was busy with work but I'm back now with lots of things in my drafts to keep me busy

Pairing: Tig Trager x FemOC (can be read as xreader)

Summary: Tig meets a cute waitress

Tig sees a diner on the way back from a run for the club and notices a cute little waitress in the window and thought this seems like a great place to stop for some grub. Approaching the counter, Tig flashes the waitress a warm smile. He then orders a coffee and takes a seat, keeping his eyes on the girl as she tends to the few other patrons in the small diner.

As he finishes his coffee, Tig decides to make a move. Rising from his seat, he walks over to the counter where the waitress is wiping down glasses and taking orders from a man in a suit. Tig, leaning on the counter in a laidback manner catches the waitress looking at him out of the corner of her eye and smiles. She returns the smile and continues working. Tig decides to see if he can strike up a conversation.

Looking down at the waitress, Tig speaks in a gentle and friendly tone.

"Hey there, you seem like a sweet girl, what's your name?"

The waitress takes a moment to glance at Tig, seemingly surprised by the question. However, her warmth and sweetness never leave her expression as she answers.

"Oh, I'm Grace.. Nice to meet you...."

"I'm Alex"

Tig smiles warmly, liking the girl's name and her friendly attitude.

"EXCUSE ME DO THEY PAY YOU TO IGNORE CUSTOMERS IN THIS DUMP OR DO YOU JUST HATE YOUR JOB?"

The man in the suit loudly exclaims to the room with a sour expression on his face

Startled by the man's sudden outburst, Tig looks up at him and gives him a stern glare. The waitress quickly turns to face the man in the suit, looking annoyed with his behavior. Tig turns his attention back to the waitress.

"Relax, buddy. This is a small, family-run diner. If you're looking for customer service, try the Olive Garden or something. Now, why don't you go back to your table and let Grace do her job in peace hmm?"

Tig says confidently, shooting a sharp glance at the rude customer.

The man seems surprised by Tig's bold response and grumbles to himself before going back to his table. Grace quickly looks up at Tig, clearly appreciating the sweet way he defended her. She smiles at Tig and nods her thanks. Tig smiles back, then continues to talk with the young waitress.

Tig likes talking with Grace, enjoying how genuine and kind-hearted she is. She's a nice girl, he thinks, and way nicer than any girl he's ever been with before. He can feel a strange connection with her, something that he's never felt before. He's drawn to her in a way that he can't quite explain.

The two chat for a while longer and Tig's charm seems to be working as Grace becomes more and more comfortable with him. As she leans on the counter, Tig puts his hand on her elbow to get her attention. He leans in close and says quietly,

"Can I ask you something?"

Grace looks up at him, and the look in her eyes makes his heart flutter. He thinks she is the most beautiful woman he's ever seen. He nods slowly as he waits for her reply, and Grace smiles sweetly as she whispers,

"Sure, what is it?"

Tig's heart starts pounding as the tension mounts, and he takes a beat before finally asking the question that's been haunting him.

"Would you wanna go out sometime?"

As the words leave his mouth, his stomach clenches with nerves, and his brain feels like it's short-circuiting from the rush of adrenalin. He can't believe he just asked her that, but he felt like he had no choice. As the diner gets quiet and Grace thinks about his question, Tig can hardly breathe.

Taken by a WPA photographer between 1935 and 1941, this picture shows diners at Aunt Dinah's Kitchen in Harlem. Established by Richard Huey, an actor in the Harlem theater scene, it was located in the basement of 172 West 135th Street, next to the YMCA. As the sign indicates, it was the go-to dining spot for Harlem's theater folk in the 1930s and 1940s. It also hosted one-act plays and forums and supported actors who needed a free meal.

From 1933 until Huey's death in 1948, the restaurant's “down-home grub” drew such luminaries as Rose McClendon, Ethel Waters, Langston Hughes, Carl Van Vechten, Juano Hernandez, Richard B. Harrison, Olive Borden, Georgette Harvey, Countee Cullen, Claude McKay, Frederick O’Neal, Count Basie, and others to his “hangout for hams.”

The family-style dining room attracted both locals and theater stars. Inspired by his roots in Monroe, Louisiana, Huey lined the walls with newspaper as a tribute to the restaurant walls back home which used the papers "partly to keep the wind out and partly for decoration."

If the troll sprites were to have offspring, in the way troll reproduction works, would their blood colors be transferred to their children?

Yep, just like in ectobiology their new blood color would get passed on. With the diference that if they reproduce through ectobiology (only with ectobiology) there's a chance the offspring comes out their original blood color. Like, if fefeta uses the ectobiology machine, her offspring will come out lilac, but some smal number will be fuccia and olive. If Fefeta has an offspring naturally through the mother grub, they will only come out lilac

Most of the sprites descendants will inevitably be sprite blooded and will inherit their traits, wich will be present in the new population.

troll who's hemospectrum is comprised of three bloods instead of twelve (rust, jade and indigo (aka RGB)) and is confused about the other 9. cuspbloods arent recognized as actual trolls, either being culled (alternia) or culled (beforus).

human who's so deep in their own head and so deeply into the internet and stuff like that that they dont even realize everyones being 100% serious and thinks that Grumblr is just one big roleplay community

sgrub dead session troll that just wants to go back to before they played sgrub, but they can't, so they spend the last few moments (minutes? months? years? who knows) just chatting to other timelines and universes before their inevitable death. the bomb ticks, and theyre so, so tired.

My sister said a day or so ago that she pulled up to the house and Morgy had already escaped the pen and come running towards her. Very cute and sweet, but like, girl. There are foxes out here. Please be careful.

Morgy was briefly put in chicken jail to prevent her from escaping the pen, but my sister didn't have the strength to keep her in there because she just looked so sad :C

She wants to be close to mother and the house! Here she is in the garden and being held <3

My sister plans to get her a small coop to keep in the garden and have her and a sister or two in there, closer to the house so she doesn't try to run off.

Morgy is truly the sweetest lil chimkin ever and we all love her <3

I visited the other day and was allowed the honor of petting her. Before Nugget came over and tried to eat my fingers, that is. Goddammit, Nugget.
