This is a small trompe l’oeil accent in a neighbor’s backyard. The original view through the garden gate, is a battered 18th century cemetery wall in an often unkempt, service and delivery alley for Pennsylvania Hospital.

My neighbor had a carpenter build a secondary solid wood door, that allowed me to paint a more agreeable view for her to look at. There is an actual iron gate on the exterior side of the door.
