HOT TAKE: I absolutely love all the bad-ass bitches in this show. Every woman has her own agenda, and will stop at nothing to achieve it—whether it be for chaebol evil or public justice.

Is the drama way way overhyped, yeah. Is it good yeppers. First half of the drama is excellent but unfortunately it didn’t keep that pace and kind of steadily decline throughout the series (what is with all the Hulu/Disney+ shows. They start out like a bang then poof out at the end) First off though, Lee Jong Suk is phenomenal in this, there’s no denying that. Im Yoon Na is just as good, the chemistry between them were amazing. The rest of the cast is outstanding as well. The storyline is not overtly complicated nor is the mystery part that hard to figure out, the whole ‘who’s big mouth’ revelation is actually underwhelming when everything was revealed. In the end though, overall It’s a decent thriller suspense kdrama that was entertaining to watch.

This broke me. What a stunning scene with two characters I should loathe and yet, in the end, are as human as those they attempted to destroy - their truly reprehensible actions cannot be excused but I still feel deep sorrow looking at their faces. Superb work from these two actors.

Do not give up and hold out for your mother.

The Underrated Asian Show of 2023

QueenMaker (2023) ~ Actress Kim Hee-ae portrayal of being a Fixer (Hwang Do-hee) for one of Korea's prominent families is a thriller. It is 'Scandal' wrapped up in a stellar cast of proficient actors. When I say proficient I mean Proficient... Seasoned Actors... Marinated. This cast is your favorites Idol in the industry. This series is an acting class, pull up a seat. Who controls the narrative the world sees is Do-hee skill set. She's the only sleeping dog you should let lie before she takes your entire existence. The most underrated series of 2023. When you see actors in their 50's getting a check with a story line like this make some noise and praise them. Western World get to watching. I pray they will have a Season 2. The acting is everything. Netflix. (Korea) (x)

THIS SHOW HAS EVERYTHING: Palace sprinting, double-agent court ladies, rambunctious teens, scheming concubines, celebrating your true self, blood disorders, secret kingmaker guidebooks, extravagant binyeo, stimulating gold candies, progressive crown princesses, internal battles for power, and loathsome mother-in-laws.

HOT TAKE: Kim Hye Soo is not only the Queen of this show, but she is also the hallyu Queen of eyebrow acting and you can't convince me otherwise.

Okay the lead up to the end was not as strong as the beginning, but at least the Chairperson did the one thing no one else seemed willing to do. And I have no idea what a second season would be but I hope it does get it

Big Mouth

This 16 episode long series had me at the edge of the seat from beginning to end. It kept me guessing and each plot twist made things more complicated. It was heart breaking in its injustice and there were things that were never really clarified. There were murderers that stayed unpunished and the mystery behind Chairman Kang was left in the air; but I still liked it. This is the kind of series that is best experienced without knowing much so I won't say anything else.

But if you like crime stories, i recommend this series.
