I know this song is about fleeting everyday-life situations and embracing love in small doses every day. Like an ongoing routine of finding love in the smallest things of life -

🍰 This could be Vernias expressing how much he loves everyone and everything, and how he just wants to hug the entire world. How his optimism never leaves and his bright smile never seems to faint from his face. 🍰 Yet how he always craves some kind of love and affection, be it by someone close to him or strangers. "Some like to imagine The dark caress of someone else, I guess any thrill will do" Which he kind of gets sometimes when he's standing behind the counter. Customers admire him and his attitude, maybe drop some small compliments. And Vernias loves it. It makes his work at King's Roast so much more beautiful and kind of even more meaningful for him.

🍰 He falls in love with the bauty of life every day. It's not the kind of love one feels when they fall for someone. It's more about watching a stranger and feeling your heart bloom. "Love with every stranger. The stranger the better" Like, when Vernias watches the customers at King's Roast do their things; reading a book or typing down on their Laptop, chatting with each other or eating their food in silence with their head turned to the window. And Vernias just feels content; in love with the calm atmosphere and the domestic feeling the Café creates so effortlessly. He falls in love a little bit everyday. Watching strangers just minding their own business at a place Vern calls his home. It's a routine filled with love, dedication and strangers he admires for the pure fact of existing with him in his space.

Maybe not the romantic way (could be, tho :3) but with their little antics and the softer moments they share together. How the atmosphere can shift so easily between them. How he catches little glimpses of a small smile on Brent's lips. How they both tend to yap about the most random things together, while cleaning dishes or preparing an order. It's also a routine - a routine that Vernias cherishes with all his heart and being.

🍰 This could also be about Nick specifically. Vernias falls in love with every side of Nick that he shows him - every side Nick lets Vernias see of him

Nick when he gets a little angry or mad (rants about work to Vernias). Nick when he's being vulnerable - expressing his feelings and letting his worries leave his mind, while Vernias just listens and is there for him - with him. Nick when he teases Vernias with that smirk on his face. Nick when he gets too flustered to speak what's on his mind sometimes around Vernias. Nick when he's being soft. When he lets lose completely and runs his fingers through Vern's hair. Nick when he's being romantic; picking up Vernias from King's Roast with a Rose/Tulip/Daisies/etc. in his hand.

Nick slowly shows him who he is over time. Opening up to Vernias more and more as time passes - and Vernias does the same. And they might fall in love with the other just a little bit every day they spend with each other.
