Ocular Migraine • One minute your fine then your vision starts to get blurry. I thought I had something in my eye. I kept blinking looking around trying to figure out what was happening. “Is it bright in here? I’m seeing spots” (I was at work) •In 5-6 min more my vision was completely blurry and I saw almost like blurry rainbows. Then I lost my vision completely...but wait that’s not it... •I regained some of my vision slowing like refocusing a lens then my 3 fingers in my left hand went to sleep with that prickly starry feeling then...complete numbness. No feeling. What is happening to me? Still no headache why are they telling me it’s an Ocular Migraine? Well the headache sometimes hits right after all these other symptoms subside. Which is exactly what happened to me. •Scary probably doesn’t even cover half of what I was feeling as my body was going haywire. Having no control over what’s happening to me is not my cup of tea. Literally an hour long WTF moment. CT came back normal of course. My nerves in my eyes are good as well. Next up Nuero appt Do you have these types of migraines? What helps you? #DocDay3 at my mobile #MRI appt. This is kinda cool! I used to work for ARC so I know about mobile blood drives, and I've seen the Rex Mobile Mammogram Bus, but this is cool! Even has a lil lift elevator to get you up to the trailer thingy! lol ... I gotta say God is great, I literally could not hold my eyes open this morning, every muscle and bone in my body was aching beyond my threshold. All I could do was moan and rock. I managed to get in the shower, it helped a little. Plus, my key came right on out the ignition on the 1st try HALLELUJAH didn’t have to play with it for 30min. Lol Infact yesterday evening when I came back from grocery shopping, I could not get it out...a police truck stopped infront of my house and #MommaB asked for help. It was a male/female team. The guy got it out after 10min lol #MommaB and I hugged him. I think that's the 1st time I ever hugged a police officer 🤗 Well once done here headed to the other side of the hospital to turn in the heart monitor. Then home! I think Imma try to write/record today. I have much to say! ➡️ Stay in Bed.⬅️ I wish I'd been able to do this today... I woke up feeling dizzy and "off" which progressed to an ocular migraine. Have you ever had one of those?? Weirdness is what it is. 😯 My vision was distorted, with zigzag-like blurry lines (and sometimes a bit of rainbow-ish flashes in the zigs and zags). 🌈 And a headache, but not as severe as a normal migraine headache. The vision disturbance (aka aura) didn't last long, maybe an hour or so. At least this wasn't my first day at the rodeo with this, but it's still kind of disconcerting when it happens. competitive team all based in one place. We need to branch out!

Hello! I'm Asher. I'll be 18 when GishWHES begins. My team members will include my sisters, (14 and 16) my aunt (48) and a dear friend of mine (18). We're all gishwhes veterans. This will be my third year, and the rest have participated 2 years. In the past I've had all the free time in the world for Gishing, but last year i was working. that was a huge mistake. The first year i participated i completed 50 tasks on my own, whereas last year we only completed 50 altogether. I'm taking the summer off this year, however, and am looking for people who are willing to go to any lengths to win this thing with me. Our intention has always been to win, and if i can put together a good team, i have a feeling this will be the year. I want to break my own record as far as items completed, and i want an entire team in the same mindset. My team already has a lot going for us. We live in a small town, where everything is in walking distance. We have access to a small theatre, with 400+ costumes and an equal number of props. We have video editing software and all kinds of camera equipment, as well as some weird things that might become necessary (a cotton candy machine, a popcorn cart, a t-shirt maker, a sign maker, ghost hunting equipment, etc.). along with that we have two artists on our team and an intense cosplayer, two writers, an actress and two musically talented people (Piano, violin, flute, guitar, ukulele, ocarina, hang drum).

In previous years my team was sloppy because the less experienced people were elected to be in charge. There was a great lack of order and a lot of confusion. This year i plan to be the leader, and consider myself a natural leader, but am more than willing to step down if someone more experienced wants to join. I firmly believe that if we have good leadership and a team willing to follow as well as take  initiative, we'll be able to win.

as for familiarity, i do think that team members should spend time getting to know eachother beforehand which is why i came and submitted this as soon as i saw the recent update on the gishwhes website. 

I'm definitely not a perfectionist, but i know that none of my items will come out looking bad. I won't get angry if someone's does, however. we're a team, so we need to know our limits. cooperation and understanding will be very important to this process.

My team is located in western Washington. for gishwhes, we are willing to travel up to 3 hours for specific items if necessary.

We have a group of about 20 people who are standing by and willing to help us. If you want to join our team, one thing i'll be looking for is people who also have large groups willing to help. If you're alone, it can be a lot harder to be competitive in this hunt.

one more thing: if we don't get people to apply, i am also willing to join a different team of competitive players, so if you're looking to have 3-4 spots filled also contact us about that!
