Happy 1st Anniversary to SEED STORY!

1 year ago today, my favourite content of 2022-2023 began, and I've enjoyed every moment of it! Learning about the Orsterra gods and their Divine Beast allies, the Eight Sage Caits (may we meet the Apothecary Cait soon), seeing Mattias making an effort to do things prior to Ophilia's story, all of it has been great!

I look forward to meeting Lutīyā and just as a whole, Chapter 13 (and I feel like that could be Seed Story's end? Maybe 13, and a Final Chapter, then we get something new. Sage Story?? Just speculation, but 13 sounds like a great number to end soon).

catboy Hikari is so much fun

like even just beyond a "it's fun to draw" point of view, the whole thing with Beastlings not being susceptible to Vide or the Shadow while Hikari is literally fighting his own Shadow through his story means being a catboy might be beneficial for his mental health. fight your demons as a catboy. The "Hunter's Curse" eventually becomes the "Hunter's Blessing" but it's still not fun to have ears pop out when emotions run high (or just when fighting in general)

also Ochette-Hikari siblings agenda!! warrior Ochette and hunter Hikari are both fun and Ochette's warrior outfit is the closest to Hikari's already. Hikari is her younger brother and Ochette is his little sister. these are simultaneous. I can and will elaborate on the traveler family dynamics because it varies from person to person.

So, I've been playing Octopath Traveler 2 lately and I chose Hikari as my protagonist. I've developed a few hc while thinking about him and Agnea the dancer bc I think they'd make a cute couple. Anyway, there's not really anything official supporting my Kink crush on this kid, it's all headcanon surrounding him and the other travelers.

Godlike / Monstrous / Superhuman / Above Average / Average / Miniscule || Ravenous / Greedy / Sloppy / Relaxed / Casual / Proper / Perfect Manners || Thunderstorm / Lion's Roar / Engine / Blender / Kitten Mew / Electric Buzz || No Thanks / Who?

So, the first think about Hikari is he's a prince, but he spends a lot of time among the common folk. He's a peace lover but will do what's necessary to achieve his goals. He's also cursed, which makes him an exemplary fighter, but he struggles to suppress his darker side.

Bringing me to my first point about him. Between growing up on the battlefield and his curse, I imagine he's a surprisingly big eater, although not many people realize that, since his manners usually prevent him from eating as much as he can.

Given his upbringing and preference for spending time with friends outside the palace, I don't think his manners are perfect, but he definitely minds them, hence why I think he swings between Casual and Proper. He could probably be coaxed into Relaxed, but only by people he's comfortable with, like the other travelers.

I'd say his guts are also fairly audible, like, they're certainly not the loudest, but will make their appreciation, or displeasure, well known. I like to think that the first Partitio hears his stomach growl, the merchant is immediately worried he's not eating as much as he needs and manages to convince Hikari to eat more, claiming he "needs to keep up his strength," and he "can't do that on an empty belly." Ochette probably helps, considering her ability to prepare monsters as consumables, with making sure he has plenty to eat.

On that note, I imagine he's has a fairly strong stomach and can handle her creations for the most part (having grown up on the battlefield, I imagine he's has some... questionable meals), but occasionally they give him serious indigestion, prompting Castti to make something to help settle his stomach. Agnea would probably be the one to offer belly rubs and convinces him not to hold back when he needs to belch. Throne may offer as well, but I don't think it's as likely. And Temenos would probably lecture him on the importance of moderation and he would respond with "Tell that to Partitio and Ochette."

Not sure what Osvald would do, but I'm not really a fan of him so...

Who doesn't love the Cait species in Octopath Traveler? Here's some drawings of them! These are from the time the Square Enix Café focused on Octopath Traveler.

I have a feeling if they add a Thief Cait to Champions, it might be this one with a bit of refining to his design. When you buy Rubies in Champions, you get to see cute little illustrations of Caits! The screen for purchasing Rubies features Leak, the Merchant Cait

And after you make purchases, you are greeted to these lovely drawings of some Caits! Which features a "beta" Leak Isla and Mew Nephti with Isla the Scholar Cait, Feints the Warrior Cait, Kiln the Hunter Cait, and Mew
