today, after almost a year of being over my marvel obsession, took a day off school to cry over the deaths of multiple fictional characters. yes, i will cry. yes, i will do a marathon. yes, i will have a feeling deep in my stomach that makes it a little hard to breathe.

Shout out to Alma Madrigal, who managed to flee from raiders when she was only hours post partum. Like it takes weeks for women to recover but she managed to help lead their town and carry her newborns, then watched her husband die. That day must have been a nightmare.

I don't remember if i posted about it before but I keep thinking about my muslim coworker telling me "thank you, you really are a very kind person" just because I told her it was totally okay for her to pray in the room we work when she asked. It baffled me because to me of course it's okay. As long as she's comfortable praying in the same room as a visibly queer person with a buzzcut, I don't mind. I'll be quiet and avoid walking in front of her to not disturb. If she's in the middle of praying I'll wait until she's done before I say hello. It's not complicated to be respectful
