Movie Review!
Oct 6 - A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984)
Y'all, part of the reason I decided to do this for October was to watch the classic horror movies that I had never seen before.
This one hits all the fucking marks you want in an 80s horror movie in all the right ways. I understand why some people lump Freddy Krueger and Beetlejuice together now. He's like BJ but murder-y and less... charismatic. But like, showing off random dead guy tricks? And spooky ooky effects? Hell yeah :)
Also, Johnny Depp in a crop top as a teenager???
Anyway, this one did everything I wanted it to, so hats off!

Oct 6 - made a loaf of French bread. Defrosted the freezer - always my favourite way to check up on what's on hand after being away for a while.
For supper I cooked some mild Italian sausage, did perogies with fried onions and sour cream, and steamed mixed veg dressed with mayonnaise mixed with a little curry powder.

Mistigram: Guten Tag! As AdeptApril's vexillological #ANSIart study here indicates, today celebrates German-American Day! I was going to accidentally spread the Muhlenberg legend here, but just caught myself in time. Auf Wiedersehen!

Incredibly annoying that only a few days after the men had the consequences of choosing to keep Mina isolated from the group and denied information forcibly shoved into all their faces, they think it's a good idea to do it again.
Thank goodness Mina manages to come up with a reasonable argument to be both kept in the loop and brought on the trip the very next day.

Oct 5 - Didn't do much today, apart from a little crochet and winding all the new skeins of yarn into cakes. Just me for supper again so I made myself some tuna rice with green peas.
Oct 6 - Didn't even crochet yet today (about to go do that for a while after posting this), just browsed a lot and gamed a little. Still just me for supper, so today I made myself a big salad with chicken strips for protein.

I suppose they didn't have indoor concessions at Ebbets Field in those days. At any rate, these fans were buying their hot dogs and other snacks at stands outside the ballpark, October 6, 1920.
