During our blissful 4-day beach trip and my niece's joyful 4-day birthday celebration, we left behind the worries and negativities—our own "𝚌𝚑𝚎𝚖𝚝𝚛𝚊𝚒𝚕𝚜"— for the sandy trails of the shore. As we play in the sand, played in the waves, and celebrated under the sun, we immersed ourselves in the simple pleasures of life. The laughter and love we shared helped us forget any lingering doubts and fears, allowing the ocean breeze to carry them away. Each moment spent together was a reminder that joy and positivity can always outshine the metaphorical chemtrails of our lives.

"SAY IT."

I groan. "Salil, cut me some slack."

She keeps staring at me, which is usually not so intimidating, but right now she has the opportunity to tell Mom about what's going on, and I'd rather not get in trouble for what's really just a misunderstanding... At least that's how I'd try to explain it.

"Fine," I sigh. "Almil needed help with something, so I'm dropping stuff off for him at the ocean exit from Silmgal that he showed me."

"You can't do that!" She hisses.

I set my chin. "I can, and I will. He's a friend."

"He's on the other side! Do you even know what it's like down there without Ilr's protection? You've had that your whole life on the half-decent side! You can't just waltz into Clm's side and expect to walk out a free person," she scoffs. "Gods you're stupid."

"Salil, have you even seen the ocean exit? I'm bringing stuff in there and it's completely secluded. It's not even in one side or the other of Silmgal, it's in neutral territory. Clm doesn't know about it." I shake my head, frustrated at how much time she is making me lose here. Almil is waiting for me, and we run the risk of being caught the longer this takes.

"Neutral territory is a fancy name to say that Clm has his eyes everywhere. If his son knows about it then he knows about it.

"Whether or not Clm knows will be irrelevant in about fifteen minutes," I growl, zipping up the diving suit and pulling back my hair. "I'll be in and out. I'm dropping the package off and catching my breath and then immediately turning around. I won't be gone longer than 30 minutes, fifteen there and fifteen back. Tops." I pull on the special made gloves that I swiped from Mom for this. They've got extra grip and will help me crawl along the slippery rocks in the tunnel. "Hand me the harness would you?"

Salil reluctantly passes over the harness she's been keeping a death grip on. "What's your package even got in it?"

"Nothing relevant to you," I say coldly. If she had a little more faith I might have told her that it was plans from me and Mom and Myl to start tearing about Clm's side to make a take over easier and less chaotic. If such a thing was possible. At a minimum it was a plan to undermine faith in Clm, and establish faith in Almil, at least among Clm's men. If that was possible then we had a chance of being able to shut things down.

"At least be careful. You have forty minutes after you leave before I call Mimi and let her know what's going on." Salil hands me the package and watches me strap it into the harness. "Don't die, please."

I grin. "Well I haven't died yet. I might if you tell Mom though."

She rolls her eyes. "As if Babi would let her kill you. Don't be late."

I paste a serious look on. "Yessir!" I say, snapping to attention and giving a Mortdari salute. "I won't let you down!"

"Just go."

I grab the breathing equipment sitting by my feet and pull it on. "If you say so boss. Later!" I jump into the water, letting the cold wash over me. Forty minutes. Let's do this.

Person A: “What the fuck are you doing?”

Person B: “…Please don’t make me say it.”

just now. imagining percy before learning of his father as a god. remembering nothing of him but a face he couldn't name. a face he and his father shared. percy often wondering if they were similar in other ways. if his father liked wrapping his arms around mom while she packed s'mores for the campfire like he did. if his father liked long car rides to the beach while mom sang to whatever was playing on the radio like he did. if his father liked running along the beachside shore while the water crashed against his feet like he did. if the reason his father was lost at sea was because he wanted to immerse himself in all the ocean had to offer. if the waves were so captivating, he'd dive underneath the surface and search to his heart's content. if the reason he was lost was because he wanted to find himself. if faces were any indication, percy didn't know who he was. maybe his father felt that way too.

Stuck on themyscria

Danny after finishing a gruelling mission for clockwork, gets stranded in the dc universe on themyscria, somehow unable to leave... he thinks its OK at first, he can treat it like a small vacation! there's a nice beach, fruit trees, he can go fishing and strangely he doesn't feel weak from the lack of ectoplasm in this worlds air.

However after a few brief encounters Danny decides to be extremly petty towards the Amazon's and pull pranks on them.

The Amazon's who have decided to kill him for being a man on the island (it doesn't help his case that he forgot aunty Pandora's teachings and what offering apples to women meant)

The Amazonians meanwhile can sense Danny's power and think if he's not mortal then he's probably Zeus or one of the other 'horny' gods in disguise.

(No turning into a goose here Zeus!)

Meanwhile Clockwork is confused, danny should have been back days ago but he can't find him anywhere... why is Pandora in his tower? Why is she grinning?

had a very sleepless night last night due to hurricane helene (only a tropical storm when it reached us, thankfully) so of course what else was my brain to do but wander into semi-nonsense territory.

or: zuko dies when his ship blows up, but La takes mercy on him. local firebender wakes up as a merman. what the fuck.

everyone thinks he's dead. he can't leave the water because he has a whole entire fish tail where his legs used to be. he has no idea what to do with himself because suddenly his only goal in life has been taken away from him. he's stubborn as hell, but even he has to admit that he can't... really capture the Avatar in this state, and it's even more unlikely that if he somehow managed, his father would restore his honor. when he's half fish. what the fuck.

zuko cuts his hair, salvages his belongings from his ship and hides them in this underwater cave he found. spends a lot of time hanging out underneath docks and lapping up gossip. trying to figure out how this whole merman thing works. follows gossip and rumors about the Avatar anyways, because what else is he supposed to do with himself?

ends up in the north pole. he's still a firebender, which feels like a dumb joke but at least it keeps him warm. ends up befriending princess yue (iroh joined the avatar and saved the moon spirit). learns his sister was defeated at ba sing se. learned his father was defeated during the eclipse. his uncle became fire lord.

becomes a cryptid. keeps accidentally befriending small children. saves a few people? people think he's some kind of ocean spirit. he's offended but maybe they're right. gets used to subsisting on a diet of raw fish (except when yue sneaks him some smoked fish). and then, to add insult to injury...

...the Avatar starts looking for him.

(Aang has heard stories about a humanoid ocean spirit. They seem friendly! They've even saved a few sailors. Trying to track them down seems like a great way to not have to think about Ozai's impending execution. He spared his life, but it didn't even matter in the end.)
