Legit been in a bit of a funk because like

After a millennia long lifetime of fighting, being abandoned by his creator/father/god, doing unspeakable things in the name of that Father who abandoned him and yet he never stopped loving and trying desperately to appease and do the will of, even if it meant letting the very life from his body be physically ripped out of him in an event so painful that "none of the fires of hell could compare", Gabriel finally finally, for the first time, feels true joy and has something that he wants. For first time in his thousands of years of living, finds something that makes him want to live. Only to die. Die because those who used him and manipulated his desperate devotion to the Father for centuries saw that one spark of joy in his life as something that made him impure. If V1 had killed him back in Gluttony, he would have been angry at himself for losing, but the idea he would die in the service of the Father's Will was no doubt his expectation, if he was ever to die. It wouldn't have been something he'd mourn because it's just how things are. But he has time to self reflect, to fight again, to realize that the feelings in him are passion, not hate. And he regrets his past actions and wants to atone. He wants to fix his mistakes and to grasp on to that little bit of joy he's managed to claim just for himself, for the first time. He actually wants to live, just in time to die.

Especially given the blatant "realizing you're queer after being raised in a conservative, religious upbringing" metaphor that Gabriel's entire story is, it legitimately makes me feel really bad. Don't get me wrong, it's a beautiful story, it's just a tragic one and I have too weak a heart for tragedies.

you get bad period cramps? james goes out and buys you whatever you need. pads, tampons, chocolate, midol- anything and everything to make you comfortable. he fills a hot water bottle up and curls himself around you, holding it to your abdomen. he talks about his day, or tells you stories about touring different states and countries.

if you’re sick he has his own personal artillery of medical supplies (partly because getting sick on tour sucks, and partly because he hates seeing you miserable.) he holds you in his lap and plays whatever movie you want, lets you sleep as long as you want, and is never far from you if you feel like you might throw up.

so when's the arakawa family matcha preparation analysis dropping

arakawa and sawashiro prepare it right and properly yk: they'll warm the bowl and the whisk and dry off the bowl, put only a scoop or two of matcha, and they whisk it using the back-and-forth motion. they do the whole bit where you turn the bowl and drink it in three and a half sips

ichi tries to do it like arakawa, but sometimes he'll skip past warming the whisk and might just do the bowl. he's a bit heavy on scooping and always puts a little more than what's probably good enough. he's a chronic zigzagger when mixing and is more aggressive than he should be. at the very least he doesn't make a huge mess. ichi'll try to drink in three and a half sips, though it usually ends up being two or three.

masato generally does it the same way as his dads, but he'll use a metal sifter to break apart his matcha and he'll tilt the bowl a bit

mitsu's like ichi in being heavy-handed with scooping and mixing, but he'll still mix with a back-and-forth motion like everyone else. unlike ichi though, he's more consistent in remembering to warm everything up- though he doesn't always dry off the bowl

Okay, Samara. I think of the characters I’ve been looking at in this series, she’s arguably the one that’s the most obviously visually my type? I mean, come on, just look at her. Her first appearance also involves her stepping on someone and demanding information out of her, which… hoo. And interestingly for the most part she’s much calmer and more measured than that introduction would suggest. And you can see it here, she has a downright piercing gaze.

Anyway, not sure where I’m going with this, but if you’ve played Mass Effect 2 you might know about the kind of oddly poetic way she describes Shepard when trying to convince them to lure out her target, and like? I think if I heard her describe me like that I’d just melt on the spot.

Unfortunately I'm in the middle of reading Archie Sonic, and is gonna read STC juuuust after it lmao, so while my opinions will likely remain unchanged since I just happens to know a load of shit, I'm just warning.

Ebony is just an interesting character to me. She doesn't exactly fit in the current Sonic world appearance wise but you would totally see an old lady with black magic as a concept. Her being Super's mom is just so ouuuugggghhh.
